Scene: Interior, City Hall. Paris' interim mayor, Chloé, is in the middle of an interview.
Chloé: Starting today, super-offenders Monarch, Ladybug and Cat Noir are outlawed.
Nadja: But... will this last long?
Chloé: Of course.
Cerise: (through Chloé's earpiece) No, of course not!
Chloé: Uh— of course not. We'll be holding a "decromatic" election. A "decratomic"— I will speak later in a meeting!
"I cannot believe that we're actually leaving Paris in the hands of someone who can't even pronounce "democracy" correctly," Max said in exasperation towards the situation with everyone else murmuring in agreement, except for Chloe who just stayed silent in fear on how much further her alternate future self is going to take.
Scene: On the rooftops, Ladybug and Cat Noir watch Chloé's interview on Ladybug's Bugphone.
Chloé: (from the broadcast) In the meantime, my new robots will be upholding Chloé's law in Paris. (Upon closing her Bugphone, the Tsurugi robots that are under Chloé's control are seen roaming around the streets of Paris.)
Cat Noir: Shall we go?
Ladybug: We can't do that.
Cat Noir: Of course, we can! We have to! We can't let Chloé make up the rules.
Ladybug: If she were akumatized, it'd be easy. Find the object, break it, de-evilize her.
Cat Noir: But there is no object, and we can't attack someone who isn't akumatized, or we'd look like the supervillains.
Ladybug: Surely someone will handle the situation.
Cat Noir: You're right. Adults, an authority figure.
"I mean surely Chloe's parents wouldn't allow their daughter to take over Paris, right?" Sabine asked hopefully along with everyone else, but Angel winced at the question.
"You'll…see later on," Angel said as she continued wincing, which made her audience confused and nervous.
Ladybug: And we carry on playing our role: fighting Monarch. (Ladybug and Cat Noir both hold out their fists and bump it with each other and flee.)
Scene: Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie. Ladybug swings in through the balcony and de-transforms.
Ladybug: (off-screen) Spots off! (After de-transforming into Marinette, she feeds Tikki with a macaron in her room. She then opens her monitor to watch the news. Several Parisians are being interviewed from the broadcast.)
Young Woman: Finally, someone young like us, representing us!
Ticket Inspector: Superheroes are useless anyway. They've never been able to stop Monarch. And who knows? Maybe it's because they've been on his side the whole time!
"Wow! We have some really stupid people back home," Alix deadpanned towards the citizens who are in support of Chloe's position as mayor on-screen. Everyone else nodded in agreement with frowns on their faces, except for Chloe, who is silently surprised that there are people supporting her.
Woman 1: A teenager at City Hall? That's absurd! She'd do a better job in cleaning her room!
"Finally! A sane perspective!" Alya said in relief along with everyone else that there are citizens that find the whole situation absurd on-screen.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Adrien's room. Adrien looks at a photo of Marinette on his phone.
Plagg: Come on, be brave! Holding on to bad news can be like cheese. If you wait too long, it gets stinkier. (eats a piece of Camembert)
Adrien: But I'm hoping I'll find a way to convince my father not to send me to London.
Plagg: Marinette is the most amazing girl in the whole universe. You love her and you trust her, don't you?
Adrien: Yes.
Plagg: Then ask her for help. Maybe she'll find the solution you're talking about. (Adrien's phone rings, showing a call coming from Marinette.) It's a sign!
Adrien: You're right! Now's the right time! (answers the call) Marinette, I—
Marinette: (on-call) Have you watched the news?
Adrien: Huh? (grabs the remote and turns on his TV)
Man 1: (from the broadcast) She can't be worse than her father.
Man 2: (from the broadcast) Besides, it won't be for long anyway. She said there'll be a "decromatic" election.
Adrien: Don't worry, Marinette. This won't last long. Someone's bound to do something. I need to tell you—
Marinette: (on-call) Yes, you're right. We gotta do something. But what? I'm going to call everyone. We'll figure out that something together. Whoever comes up with an idea first calls the other one back. (hangs up. Adrien lets out a frustrated sigh.)
Adrien: It'll be the right time another time.
Scene: Interior, Le Grand Paris, in the hotel's restaurant. Chloé navigates the Tsurugi police robots from the briefcase containing the controls to the robots. She is sitting alongside her mother, Gabriel and Tomoe at a table.
Tomoe: Is Ms. Chloé satisfied with the police robots we provided to City Hall?
Chloé: Yes, very! They're a lot of fun! (commands a robot to bump into Armand, taking the glasses of juice on a tray out of his hand) You're fired, Jean-Raoul! These robots are much more competent than you. (grabs a glass of juice from the same tray)
"See your mother, Chloe? She supports the idea of you being the mayor. Proud even," Angel pointed out about Audrey Bourgeois with everyone else giving the woman looks of disbelief and exasperation.
"The one time my mother's actually proud of me," Chloe mumbled with an exasperated frown towards her mother on-screen. "What about my father?" Angel just responded by pointing at the screen, indicating to watch further into the episode.
Gabriel: It hasn't even been a day since you replaced your father and everything is already resolved. Ladybug, Cat Noir, Monarch, all the super-offenders, as you call them, have disappeared.
"I don't understand what my mother and Mr. Agreste can gain from this madness," Kagami commented in exasperation towards the two villains. Everyone else murmured in agreement with confused looks on their faces.
"You'll eventually see how they're able to take advantage of the situation," Angel said as she replayed the episode with her audience turning their attention back to the screen.
Chloé: Yes, well... it's not like it was difficult. (The camera zooms in on Chloé's Alliance, which is seen with a red light blinking.)
Scene: La Plage. Cerise opens her phone, revealing that Chloé's conversation with Gabriel and Tomoe is recorded from Chloé's Alliance.
Gabriel: (from the recording) It hasn't even been a day since you replaced (Cerise zooms in to Chloé's briefcase in the recording.) your father and everything is already resolved. Ladybug, Cat Noir, Monarch…
Cerise: (through her earpiece) You were great.
Scene: Interior, City Hall, the mayor's office. Chloé speaks to Cerise through her earpiece.
Chloé: Of course, I'm great. That's why I'm the new Mayor of Paris. (Two employees who are seen painting the walls gold are seen behind Chloé. One of them seems to think that Chloé is talking to them.)
Employee 1: Did you say something, Ms. Mayor?
Chloé: Why on earth would I want to talk to you? Get lost! You're fired! (A police robot zooms towards the employee and pushes him out with force.)
Scene: Monarch's lair. Monarch places an Alliance ring on a pedestal and opens up a holographic screen of controls in front of him.
Monarch: Alliance, please call Ms. Tsurugi. (dials in and reaches Tomoe) Chloé Bourgeois is going to make a mess of everything.
Chloe quietly gasped in shock and sported an enraged look towards Monarch for what he said about her on-screen (though she can't really argue against his comment).
Tomoe: (on-call) Ladybug and Cat Noir won't be left with any choice but to step in.
Monarch: And thinking that (absorbs Pollen's power) they're dealing with just a teenager, they won't dare to use their superpowers. (Continuing to lay out their diabolical plan, Monarch continues to absorb powers from a few more kwamis.)
Tomoe: (on-call) Whereas we won't hesitate to use ours!
Monarch: And we will easily seize their Miraculous! (absorbs Kaalki's powers) Voyage! (steps inside the portal and transports himself in the Mayor's office in City Hall)
Scene: Interior, City Hall. Monarch appears in front of Chloé, who looked surprised before his presence.
Chloé: Oh! You're under arrest, Monarch! (commands the police robots to surround Monarch) Give me your Miraculous! (Tomoe, from an unknown place, commands the police robots from her very own briefcase, making the police robots "stand down".)
Monarch: (puts his hands in the air) It's alright. I'm only here to form an alliance with you, dear Chloé.
Chloé: I'll never form an alliance with a super-offender again. I'm the greatest!
Cerise: (from Chloé's earpiece) Accept his alliance.
Chloé: Ugh, okay, whatever. What's this alliance thing about?
Monarch: No more superpowers for anyone else but you.
Chloé: So, you'll give me your Miraculous?
Monarch: Hmm, if I give you my Miraculous, you'd become a supervillain, yet, you yourself have banned superpowers. How would you look then?
Chloé: (nods) Hm, that's true.
Monarch: But I can do much better: I'll keep my Miraculous and put their powers at your service without anyone knowing. This way, you'll have all the powers you want without looking like you do. And you can finally rid us of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Chloé: (intrigued) I'll be the villain, but I'll look like the hero.
Chloe sported a look of shock and horror to what her alternate future self had just agreed to do on-screen.
Monarch: Exactly! (unleashes a megakuma from his cane, letting it fly into Chloé's sash, akumatizing her) Queen Mayor, I'm giving you and your robotic elite guard absolute power. (Chloé transforms into somewhat her same appearance, but only to have her clothes change as well as the police robots turning from blue into gold. Monarch taps on the corresponding rings...) I'm transferring the powers of Protection, Migration, Determination and Action, as well as the power of Pretension, (...and transmitting them into the police robots) which will allow them to become invisible from now on!
"Chloe's been akumatized, but she still looks the same with a different outfit. Shouldn't she be freakish-looking or something?!" Alya asked in confusion along with everyone else (especially Chloe herself) towards Chloe's akumatization on-screen.
"Your appearance doesn't necessarily have to change when you're akumatized. It depends on the Butterfly Miraculous holder and the powers they give you," Master Fu said about the rare occasion someone looks the same when they're akumatized.
"Besides, that's the whole point. It's to trick everyone else, especially Ladybug and Cat Noir, that they're dealing with a normal person instead of an akumatized one. And even more, her police robots get the Miraculous powers so that they do all the villain work to keep up the illusion that Chloe is normal as she is," Angel explained further about Chloe's akumatization as Queen Mayor on-screen in which everyone else murmured in understanding.
"The one akuma that actually makes me look fabulous!" Chloe said in annoyance towards her transformation as Queen Mayor on-screen with everyone else rolling their eyes in annoyance.
Queen Mayor: And they'll still do everything I want?
Monarch: Absolutely everything!
Tomoe: (from an unknown place) For as long as we need her.
Monarch: (bows) Voyage! (exits through the portal)
Scene: Exterior, in front of Collège Françoise Dupont. Adrien is seen standing before the school.
Adrien: Today's the day, Plagg. I'm going to tell Marinette everything. (He walks towards the school with newfound determination. Upon arriving in the school courtyard, he is greeted with rally boards parched at the center.) Woah…
Nino: This was an idea from Marinette, Alya and Mylène. Those girls got skills, dude! (Marinette walks towards the boys, with Adrien already having his enamored eyes on her.)
Adrien: That's for sure, Nino.
Marinette: We're not letting Chloé call the shots! (A limousine and a news truck park outside the school. The limousine door opens and we see Queen Mayor stepping out of the car, sporting her incognito akumatized identity.)
Queen Mayor: (while walking into the school alongside reporters) Thanks to me, who rid you of those super-duds, Paris is going to become super-fab again! You'll get to do whatever you want to do and say whatever you want to say. (Chloé is then greeted by the Resistance, who are chanting:)
"DOUBT IT!" The teens in the audience (including Chloe herself surprisingly) exclaimed in a deadpan manner.
Students: Reinstate Miss Bustier the Great! Reinstate Miss Bustier the Great! What do we say? What do we say?
Queen Mayor: What is this?
Zoé: Since we're free to say whatever we want to say, Chloé, we're refusing to go back to class until Miss Bustier and Mr. Damocles are reinstated as our teacher and principal.
Queen Mayor: Ugh— Do you really think I care?
Cerise: (from Chloé's earpiece) Whoa, whoa! The camera! Don't forget about the camera, Chloé!
Queen Mayor: Oh, sorry! (drags the cameraman with her and points the camera at Zoé) It would seem like this girl, who's pretending to be my sister, and her libertarian friends, who'd rather protest than study, intend to take the school hostage in order to force me to reinstate an evil teacher and a principal who thinks he's a superhero.
Mr. Damocles: (poses) Hoo-hoo! (hides) Uh— oops.
"Not the time, sir. Not the time," Miss Bustier noted to her boss who nodded while also blushed in embarrassment.
Sabrina: We're not taking the school hostage.
Marinette: We're just protesting!
Chloé: They're not respecting decromancy— detromacy— (groans) You know what I mean!
Ivan: Yeah, we know what democracy is, but you obviously don't!
Mylène: Which is why you better hold elections ASAP!
Queen Mayor: These two are threatening me also? Ooh, that's not exactly demaquatic of them! People who threaten the Mayor go straight to detention, you know.
"Detention meaning…prison?" Marinette asked curiously as well as everyone else.
"A special kind of prison," Angel said as she nodded in confirmation, making her audience nervous and fearful about Chloe's threat on-screen.
Miss Bustier: Chloé, you need to come to your senses.
Queen Mayor: (walks up to Miss Bustier) But I never lost my senses, and I'll prove it to you. I remember that you're still fired! (towards the reporters) Uh, I mean, I did what had to be done to protect the children from your negative influence. (walks towards Adrien and Marinette, whom she notices that are hand-in-hand) Ah, Dupain-Cheng... my turn to tell you a secret.
"What secret again?" Chloe asked curiously as well as most others, though the rest have a pretty good idea on what the secret is on-screen.
"That Adrien is moving to London. You know, since his father blabbed it all to you and your father in the last episode," Angel answered as the audience nodded in understanding.
Cerise: (from Queen Mayor's earpiece) No! Not now, Chloé!
Queen Mayor: Uh, I've changed my mind. I'll tell you later. Revenge is a pastry best served cold. Right, baker girl? (walks past Marinette, deliberately bumping into her shoulder)
Scene: In the classroom. Chloé, who is still not known to be Queen Mayor, is in a special one-on-one class session with Ms. Mendeleiev with the class watching outside the room, whilst Chloé is just toying with her briefcase.
Ms. Mendeleiev: The ancestors of the Bourgeois were the ones who discovered the gold that made all the great achievements of this world possible. (Outside the classroom, Marinette notices two placards placed on the floor which were being held by Ivan and Mylène earlier.)
Marinette: Where did Mylène and Ivan go?
"Yeah, where did we go?!" Ivan asked on behalf of himself and Mylene as well as everyone else at what happened to the couple on-screen.
"You two have been taken to detention by Chloe's police robots. You'll see how," Angel said as she pointed to the screen, indicating for her audience to watch further.
Scene: On the rooftops, at sunset. The camera pans from Chloé, or Queen Mayor's golden monument on top of the Arc de Triomphe to Ladybug and Cat Noir, who are seen standing on the roof.
"You…you…you just desecrated one of our national monuments! What's next?! Your face on the top tip of the Eiffel Tower?!" Max stammered in shock and exasperation along with everyone else towards Chloe about her statue on the top of the Arc de Triomphe. The blonde girl is somewhat insulted, but couldn't disagree either, knowing that her alternate future self is really mad with power.
"I've had nightmares like this!" Marinette confessed about Chloe's statue.
"ME TOO!" Most of the teens confessed as well, still shocked upon seeing Chloe's statue.
Cat Noir: Are we still doing nothing?
Ladybug: Well, it's ugly, but Monarch had nothing to do with it.
"Too bad he's found a way to outsmart us with this!" Marinette said in frustration as well as everyone else about Chloe's akumatization by Monarch.
Scene: Pont des Arts. Adrien walks, filled with determination once more, towards Marinette, who is buying an ice cream from André.
Adrien: Today's the day. I'm going to tell Marinette everything.
Marinette: Adrien! Your father knows the Bourgeois family well. You could ask him to do something to stop Chloé.
Adrien: Talking to my father won't solve anything. Because right now…
Marinette: Is something wrong with him?
Adrien: Well, my father is—
Queen Mayor: (from a helicopter, holding a megaphone) Hey, you, ice cream man! Did you pay the permit fee to sell your ice cream?!
André: I don't need a permit to sell love in Paris!
Queen Mayor: Well, now you do! Otherwise, you'll end up in detention! (Queen Mayor's helicopter flies away. Andre gives his last ice cream to Adrien and Marinette.)
André: Savor it. It might be my last cone.
Marinette: (grabs the ice cream from Andre) No way, Andre! No one can keep you from bringing everyone so much happiness. (Adrien walks to Nino, who is currently calling Alya.)
Adrien: You okay, Nino?
Nino: Yeah, dude. It's just that Alya was supposed to meet us, but she's not answering her phone. (Adrien and Marinette have their eyes furrowed.)
"Let me guess: I'm in detention?" Alya guessed in a deadpan manner with Angel nodding in confirmation as the aspiring reporter and everyone else glared at Chloe who shrunk down in embarrassment.
Scene: Exterior, Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie. Marinette parks her scooter outside the bakery. As she enters, she sees Queen Mayor lying on top of the counter and eating chouquettes.
Marinette: (putting her helmet on a counter nearby) Where are my parents?
Queen Mayor: (while chewing on her chouquettes) In detention! They wanted to make me pay for the chouquettes.
"Yeah, it's part of a little concept called buying and selling," Angel mockingly pointed out to Chloe with everyone else groaning in annoyed agreement towards the blonde girl.
"Seriously, Chloe?! Putting my parents in detention for something that STUPID?!" Marinette asked the shrinking blonde girl in exasperation.
Marinette: Detention? What are you talking about? Dad? Mom?
Queen Mayor: Oh, you miss them already? Why don't you go and join them... in detention?! (An elite police robot appears behind Marinette and immobilizes her with Venom, then teleports her in "detention", as Queen Mayor puts it. Queen Mayor throws in her last piece of chouquette in her mouth.)
"This is how you end up in detention. The police robots, who are at first invisible from the Rooster's power, immobilizes you with the Bee's power and then teleports you to detention with the Horse's power," Angel explained in which the audience murmured in understanding but also in fear now that Marinette has been put in detention on-screen.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Adrien's room. Adrien paces back and forth while calling Marinette on his phone.
Marinette's voicemail: It's Marinette! Leave a message. Beep!
Plagg: You two are definitely having a hard time communicating lately.
Adrien: She must be home. It'd be better to tell her in person anyway.
Scene: Back at the bakery, Adrien enters the bakery with the door open.
Adrien: Is anyone here? (gasps upon seeing Marinette's helmet on the counter) Marinette?
(Going back outside, he sees Andre's ice cream cart gets pushed by the air and bouncing on a gutter, stopping it from moving. Perplexed, he scowls at this sight as a leaflet of Chloé floats towards him and gapes.) Chloé!
"Is EVERYONE in detention?!" Marinette asked in fear and panic along with everyone else based on how Paris is starting to look like a ghost town on-screen.
"Not everyone. But from the looks of it, most of the city's population," Angel answered, in which her audience glued their attention to the screen, desperate to see what happens next.
How much more mad with power can I get and how could I possibly make things worse?! Chloe thought in her head, afraid of what more she's going to do as Queen Mayor.
Scene: Interior, City Hall. Adrien barges in the Mayor's office.
Adrien: What have you done?!
Queen Mayor: Adri-nothing! It took you long enough! Oh, I know what you're going to say. (mocks Adrien) "Meanie Chloé, I hope you didn't do anything to the baker girl!" Oh, I'm so terrified! I'll get punished! (blinks innocently and cackles) Kidding! I couldn't care less, and there's nothing Adri-traitor can do! Otherwise, I'll tell Dupain-Cheng that he's been lying to her, that he didn't tell her he was going to London to obey his daddy like a nice little puppet! (Adrien is left jaw dropped.) That's right! I know everything. But it can remain our secret, you know. You just have to do whatever I want, and to start with, I want you to be my Deputy Mayor!
"You're one to talk about someone else being a puppet, Chloe. You're officially a puppet ruler," Angel said with a glare towards the blonde girl who cringed in confusion at the term along with everyone else. "That means even though you're the one with all the power, someone else is taking control of you and using that power." Upon hearing that, everyone else murmured loudly in agreement, even Chloe who couldn't disagree against her statement being hypocritical on-screen.
Adrien: You're out of your mind, Chloé.
Queen Mayor: I can have anything I want. Even you. Unless you'd rather I told the truth to the baker girl.
Adrien: You know what? I'm going to tell Marinette myself.
Queen Mayor: You want to join her? You should thank me 'cause I'm about to grant your wish! (A police robot appears behind Adrien and immobilizes him, the same way it did with Marinette at the bakery.) Detention for the traitor! (Adrien is sucked into the portal and gets teleported away.)
The audience (especially Chloe herself) gasped in shock and horror that the blonde girl just placed one of her only friends in detention.
Scene: Queen Mayor's "detention". Adrien is de-immobilzed in a white arena that switches from being bathed with red to white light depending on the surrounding screens.
"Welcome to Chloe's personal detention," Angel ominously pointed out to her audience who sported looks of shock at the surroundings on-screen.
"Please don't tell me detention is some sort of weird different dimension that is seemingly impossible to get out of," Marinette asked with hope along with everyone else.
"Don't worry. Detention is actually some sort of maze placed at the stadium," Angel explained further about Queen Mayor's detention on-screen as her audience sighed somewhat in relief.
Queen Mayor: (from the red screens) Ridiculous! You'll always be ridiculous! (An elite police robot escorts a group of Parisians that are held hostage, including former Mayor André Bourgeois.)
"See that, Chloe? You even imprisoned your own father in detention!" Angel said to Chloe while pointing at the blonde girl's father on-screen. Upon seeing her own father imprisoned at her own volition, Chloe is now even more shocked and guilty than ever on how much worse her selfishness has taken her in the alternate future on-screen.
Robot: Detention. You're in detention. Find a corner to sit in and you can get out.
Queen Mayor: (from the screens, now white) I will always be there for you; you can count on me.
Mr. Bourgeois: But there is no corner here! We're walking and walking and going in circles!
Queen Mayor: (from the screen, now red again) Ridiculous! You'll always be ridiculous!
Adrien: How did Chloé pull this off? (runs around) Marinette? Marinette!
Queen Mayor: (from the screens, white again) I will always be there for you; you can count on me. (The scene cuts to Marinette walking alongside Alya.)
Adrien: (off-screen) Marinette!
Marinette: (hears Adrien at last) Adrien? Adrien!
Queen Mayor: (from the screens; red) Ridiculous! You'll always be ridiculous! (The two keep searching for each other by calling their names out loud. Seeing that there's no use from yelling out to find the source of their voices, Marinette comes up with a plan after noticing two roaming elite police robots coming their way.) I will always be there for you; you can count on me.
Marinette: (to Alya) Let's pretend like we're trying to destroy those screens. (Marinette proceeds to a nearby screen and attempts to break it off the wall. Adrien does the same as well from his respective place by kicking a screen to let it fall.)
Queen Mayor: (from the screens; red) Ridiculous! You'll always be ridiculous!
Plagg: Put my mind at ease. You haven't forgotten that I can give you superpowers, have you?
Adrien: No, but I need a diversion so I can use them. (continues to kick the screen. The elite police robots start shooting rubber balls at Marinette and Adrien after noticing their attempt on destroying the screens. On Adrien's side, the screen already falls off, giving him the chance to hide behind it and transform.)
Queen Mayor: (from the screens, white) I will always be there for you; you can count on me.
Adrien: (voice only) Plagg, claws out! (transforms into Cat Noir)
Cat Noir: Cataclysm! (uses his power to break through the floor, creating a hole that leads him down the sewers)
Queen Mayor: (from the screens; red) Ridiculous! You'll always be ridiculous! (Back at detention, Mr. Bourgeois, alongside Lieutenant Roger, found the hole that Cat Noir created.)
Mr. Bourgeois: We found a way out! (enters the hole, alongside Roger and more people to come)
Queen Mayor: (from the screens; white) I will always be there for you; you can count on me. (On the other side, Alya is on the lookout as Marinette transforms behind her broken screen. From the red screens:) Ridiculous! You'll always be ridiculous!
Marinette: (voice only) Tikki, spots on! (transforms into Ladybug. Ladybug swings out to the roofs from what is revealed to be Parc des Princes, where Queen Mayor set her "detention" — a maze built in an endless loop.)
Queen Mayor: (from the screens, white) I will always be there for you; you can count on me.
Scene: Exterior, the Louvre. Queen Mayor stands in front of a podium on a stage before a large crowd of Parisians with lights directed at her.
Queen Mayor: Everyone will agree that within a few days, I've made Paris better than it was before. Utterly better! So, if there were an election today, who would feel justified in running against me? (The camera pans to Audrey, watching her daughter with pride, with Queen Mayor's supporters, who are dressed up as Chloé, behind her; Gabriel and Tomoe, with their plans finally coming into place; and the students of Françoise Dupont, who are watching her with disgust on their faces.) No one! (Ladybug and Cat Noir arrive on the scene from a nearby rooftop.)
"Proud of her daughter being mad with power and not at all concerned that her husband, the man she supposedly loves, has been put in detention," Angel angrily grumbled towards Audrey Bourgeois on-screen as her audience hummed in agreement with disgusted looks on their faces, especially Chloe's.
Cat Noir: Now we step in, right?
Ladybug: Yes, we step in! But she won't take us by surprise this time. Lucky Charm! (receives a pair of underwear as she looks at her Lucky Charm with embarrassed wide eyes.)
"WHAT?!" Everyone in the audience exclaimed in confusion upon the Lucky Charm given to stop Queen Mayor on-screen.
"What am I supposed to do with…underwear?!" Marinette asked in exasperation along with everyone else in which Angel responded by pointing to the screen, indicating to watch further.
Cat Noir: A mira-kini? My power can't compete with your creativity, m'lady. Cataclysm! (With their powers activated, the two heroes jump in to put a stop to Queen Mayor.)
Queen Mayor: So, we all agree. There's no need to hold an election.
Ladybug: No, we disagree! (The crowd cheers upon seeing Ladybug and Cat Noir, who are standing on top of the Louvre.)
Queen Mayor: You see? I was right all along. (In the shadows, Cerise is seen to be coaching Chloé behind the scenes through their earpieces.)
Cerise: They have no respect for democracy.
Queen Mayor: They have no respect for detromacy! And— and— and— and then they wanna use their superpowers to steal my power!
Gabriel: (whispering to Tomoe) Now is the moment of truth, Tsurugi-san.
Ladybug: The only power that has value, Chloé, is the power that we use for the common good of the people, and you (points to her) only use your power for yourself.
Cat Noir: Who wants an election to get rid of a dictator? (The majority of the crowd raises their hands, which worries Queen Mayor.)
Ladybug: It's time we teach you how to say the word correctly, Chloé. De-mo-cra-cy! (The two heroes slide down the Louvre pyramid and leap into action, only to get encapsulated by two shields created by the power of the Turtle Miraculous, causing them to fall onto the stage. Losing hold of the Lucky Charm, it fades away as it touches the shield, to Ladybug's shock.) Cat Noir! The Lucky Charm has disintegrated!
"So, those shields are from the power of the Turtle Miraculous, but why did my Lucky Charm disintegrate?!" Marinette asked in panic along with everyone else upon seeing her Lucky Charm disintegrate on-screen.
"It's the Ox Miraculous' power of Resistance," Angel explained, which brought a nod of agreement from a particular kwami.
"She's right! My power is to be resistant to all superpowers and the Lucky Charm is a superpower!" Stompp pointed out in despair of how his power was used for evil this time with everyone else murmuring in understanding.
Cat Noir: Let me try! (attempts to break the shield with his powers, only to fail) My Cataclysm isn't working either!
Ladybug: It's as if the power of Protection had been mixed with the power of invulnerability to create these prisons!
Cat Noir: Miraculous powers?
Ladybug: Monarch!
Queen Mayor: So, who's got all the powers now? I do! I said no one could have superpowers because they're all just for me! (cackles and activates more elite police robots, pointing them at the crowd and at the two heroes)
Gabriel: (to Tomoe) Stand ready to regain control of the robots. Ladybug and Cat Noir are about to transform back. (Tomoe opens her briefcase.) I will take care of de-akumatizing Chloé, then the Miraculous will finally be ours! (Tomoe subtly smirks.)
Queen Mayor: I won! I'm the greatest! There's nothing you can do now because I'm akumatized! (Ladybug gasps.)
Cat Noir: It twists my whiskers to say so, m'lady, but I don't think she's wrong. We are kinda stuck here.
Ladybug: We've been waiting for someone to do something from the start but... we were wrong, Cat Noir. It's not up to someone to do something, it's up to everyone! Everyone has to act! (Both their Miraculous start to trill, initiating the countdown of their de-transformation.)
Alya: (gasps; turns to Nino and Zoé) They're going to transform back! (Their costumes begin to fade quickly. Cat Noir immediately covers his hand, as well as Ladybug.)
Everyone in the audience gasped in horror and panic that the two heroes are about to transform back in front of all of Paris with supposedly no way out on-screen.
Ladybug: No! Not now! Not yet! (With heavy grunts, the two heroes try their best to slow down their de-transformation. But Ladybug does it harder, as her de-transformation seems to be indeed slowing down.)
Cat Noir: M'lady, your de-transformation is slowing down!
"How…how…am I…?" Marinette stammered as her and everyone else's jaws dropped in shock upon seeing her de-transformation slowing down on-screen. Angel just responded by pointing to the screen, indicating to watch further.
Ladybug: (opens her eyes and realizes Cat Noir's words are true) You can resist, too! We need more time! (Cat Noir attempts to slow down his de-transformation as per Ladybug. She speaks towards the crowd of Parisians) We only have a few seconds left until we transform back! We won't be able to be superheroes again. You're going to have to keep fighting without us. You can do it because you've already been doing it this whole time... by supporting us. Some did it by being Miraculous holders anonymously by our side! You all did it— by not giving in to fear! Despite Monarch's constant threats, if anyone can do something, it's all of you! It's always been you!
Mylène: She's right! We have to do something!
Max: But we're not superheroes!
Kim: We'll see about that!
Mr. Damocles: (dressed up as Knightowl) Time for the Owl! Hoo-hoo!
Nino: You're right! Comrades of the Resistance, it's time to come out of the shadows! (Each member of the Resistance shouted out their respective codenames. The two heroes continue to make efforts to stop their de-transformation. Unfortunately, their efforts seem to be failing as their costumes fade ceaselessly.)
Cat Noir: It was an immense pleasure knowing you, Ladybug. Well, not knowing you really because it looks like I'm going to get to know you soon. (grunts) Shoot! I'm completely botching my last superhero lines, m'lady. Cracking jokes was all I was ever good for.
Ladybug: You were perfect, Kitty Cat. (Cat Noir holds out his bare fist, as well as Ladybug, and they perform their last "pound it" against their prisons before they completely de-transform in front of the crowd. But shortly after...)
Kim: Super Underpants! (...the Resistance make their move by making an ambush on stage, surrounding a shocked Queen Mayor. This brings a smile to Ladybug and Cat Noir's faces. The crowd then pushes down the barriers holding them back and a fracas ensues. This doesn't seem to go according to Gabriel and Tomoe's plan, after all.)
Tomoe: What is going on here— AH! No! (A person bumps into Tomoe's back, causing the briefcase to nudge from her hands. But realizing there was no use continuing with their plan on double-crossing Chloé, Gabriel and Tomoe run off from the crowd. Next to them, Audrey screams, running off in her own direction.)
Gabriel: Come! (Cerise is still seen hiding behind a wall, waiting for the perfect time to execute her own schemes. Back on the stage, the Parisians fight off the police robots and corner Queen Mayor as well.)
Queen Mayor: Attack them! Put them in detention! (Some people get encapsulated, but some fight back against the robots by pointing one of them at the other robots.)
Ladybug: Cat Noir, we have to do like them! We have to keep fighting!
Cat Noir: They're not giving up, and we're not giving up!
Ladybug: We won't de-transform back! Ever again!
Cat Noir: Never again! (And with their efforts finally paying off, as Ladybug and Cat Noir regain both their powers back and transform back into their superhero identities, as well as fully charging their Miraculous.)
"HOW DID WE DO THAT?!" Adrien asked very loudly in cheerful shock upon seeing himself and Marinette staying transformed on-screen.
"Well, even though you two aren't officially adults yet, you both have "grown up". Therefore, you two can stay transformed for as long as you need to plus you can use your powers more than once from that moment on," Angel explained in which her audience loudly murmured in excitement upon the two heroes' powers being evolved on-screen.
Gabriel: How are they doing this? Why aren't they transforming back, Nooroo?
Nooroo: You don't transform back either.
Gabriel: I am an adult! Not transforming back is a power belonging to grown-ups!
Nooroo: I guess they must have grown up, Master.
Gabriel: No! (he and Tomoe run off. Meanwhile, back on the stage...)
Queen Mayor: (to one of the robots that got encapsulated) You're ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous! (notices the crowd forming a circle around her) Ah!
Miss Bustier: (waltzes towards her) It's time for this to stop, Chloé!
Ladybug: (to the teacher) The megakuma must be in her sash!
Miss Bustier: No more evil-doing for you! (takes Queen Mayor's sash and rips it in half, releasing the megakuma and powering down the robots, as well as breaking the Shell-ters that trapped Ladybug, Cat Noir, and everyone else)
Cat Noir: (as he breaks the police robots one by one) Cataclysm! Cataclysm! Cataclysm! Cataclysm!
"Oh, I'm gonna have fun with this!" Adrien said excitedly, seeing that he can use his destructive powers more than once in the future as everyone else chuckled in agreement.
Ladybug: (opens her yo-yo) Time to de-evilize! (captures the megakuma) Gotcha! (opens her yo-yo once more to release the purified butterfly) Bye-bye, little butterfly! (Queen Mayor de-transforms back into Chloé. On her knees, she looks up in defeat, and sees all those who once had hoped that she would change for the better look down at her furiously, fed up with her antics for the very last time. Ladybug takes a deep breath, a little hesitation on her face hinting whether she should give her a magical charm, and proceeds to open her yo-yo shortly after to do so, only to be stopped by Mr. Bourgeois.)
Mr. Bourgeois : Leave it to me. It is time I corrected my own errors. (drags Chloé away with him)
"What's Daddy going to do to me?!" Chloe asked in fear and panic now that her father is finally standing up to her on-screen as everyone else shared questioning looks too though also proud of the man.
"I don't know how to put this delicately, so I'm gonna put it this way: your father has exiled both you and your mother from Paris. You two have been kicked out. Banished. So, you and your mom are moving to New York," Angel explained to the blonde girl about her punishment by the latter's father on-screen.
"Can Daddy just ground me or something?" Chloe softly asked with tears in her eyes upon hearing that her own father had exiled her in this alternate future.
"Ground you?! Chloe, this isn't breaking a priceless antique sitting in your living room!" Marinette said to Chloe in exasperation along with everyone else who murmured in agreement.
"Or being out late way past curfew!" Alya pointed out.
"Or getting a really bad grade on a big test!" Kim pointed out.
"Chloe, you assigned yourself as mayor once your father resigned even though you're only a teenager who hasn't graduated from school yet. And you became a dictator, not a democratic leader like you promised. And most importantly, you hypocritically broke your own law by willingly letting Monarch akumatize you even though you outlawed him and superpowers," Angel explained in which Chloe began to understand the extent of her actions. "And let's face it, you got lucky that your father exiled you from Paris! The only other fitting punishment for your actions would be a prison sentence for many years, if not for life!" Angel then pointed out in which everyone else nodded in agreement while frowning at Chloe. After thinking long and hard about this, Chloe nodded in agreement that she has indeed gone too far this time and wouldn't be able to fix it for herself in this alternate future.
Chloé: Let me go! I haven't lost yet! I still have my robots! (And finally now being the perfect time, Cerise grabs hold of Tomoe's briefcase, now gaining control over the police robots. Back at the Louvre, fireworks are set off into the night sky — a celebration for their successful revolution against Chloé's dictatorship.)
"I'm not sure what my mother had in that briefcase, but I'm honestly terrified now that she has it," Kagami noted about Lila/Cerise taking the former's mother's briefcase in which everyone else gulped in fear and agreement.
Nino: Yes! We're finally free from Chloé the Brat!
Alya: Paris needs to find itself a new mayor.
Kim: Ooh! But how are we going to do that?
Miss Bustier: Well, we'll just put democracy in motion. The citizens are going to hold an election.
Mylène: That's a great idea! I'm sure that the people of Paris would love to have a mayor like you!
Miss Bustier: (gasps) But I can't. I'm just a teacher!
Marinette: No, she's right! You'd be amazing!
Nino: We'll help you with your campaign, Comrade— I mean, Miss Bustier! (Miss Bustier smiles at her students gleefully.)
"So, now I'm running for mayor?" Miss Bustier asked with a wide-eyed look on her face in surprise in which Angel nodded in confirmation. Everyone else cheered in excitement, except for Chloe who is somewhat unhappy that her family has lost political power, but also honestly thought that her teacher would make a great mayor, so she just sported a sad smile.
Rose: Oh! This calls for a celebration!
Zoé: Perfect timing! The end-of-the-school-year dance is tonight!
Marinette: I have to go home and change. I'll meet you back on the Eiffel Tower! (Upon Marinette's departure, Adrien's smile fades, realizing that he hasn't told Marinette that he'll leave for London soon.)
Adrien: (towards his friends, with a forced smile) Same with me. See you later!
Scene: On the Bourgeois private plane in the night sky, Audrey gives Chloé a good scolding, whilst Chloé subtly growls louder and louder as she shakes in rage.
Audrey: Because of you, we've lost face! You've ruined our name and our reputation! You had all the powers in your hands and you foolishly lost them! Bourgeois do not raise losers. You think you're going to London on vacation? Dream on! I'm going to take control of your life again, starting with your education. (Unable to stand another word, Chloé unbuckles her seatbelt and runs to the back of the plane, sitting alone in the red light. She opens her Alliance and scrolls through her list of contacts, and stops to look at her contact photo of Sabrina, and her expression softens as she becomes lost in thought. However, said expression hardens once more, as she starts to scroll again and stops on Marinette, now sporting an evil smirk.)
"Like she ever had," Chloe quietly grumbled in rage towards her mother as the latter is dominantly responsible for the way she herself had turned out. Even though everyone else is relieved that Chloe has left Paris in this alternate future, they couldn't help but feel sorry for her when her mother started berating her.
Scene: Exterior, the Agreste mansion. Adrien runs towards the mansion's main doors and opens them, only to be greeted by his father who was already waiting for him inside.
Gabriel: Go pack your bags. The plane to London leaves in an hour.
"WHAT?!" Everyone in the audience asked in anger towards Mr. Agreste for making Adrien immediately leave for London on-screen.
Adrien: Dad, tonight's the end-of-the-school-year dance—
Gabriel: Adrien, I am your father, and I refuse to hear another word! (Adrien runs off hopelessly. In his room, he packs his things on the verge of crying.)
Plagg: Your powers have evolved. Do you realize what this means? You've grown up! You're stronger now!
Adrien: I wish it were true, Plagg. I'll try to believe it is anyway... for you... and for Marinette. (Adrien goes down the stairs with his luggage and stops by a despaired Nathalie.)
Nathalie: You cannot disobey your father, but don't let anyone stop you from loving who you want. (Adrien has nothing else to reply but to sigh in frustration. He walks outside the mansion, and doors shut with a loud thud.)
Scene: Interior, the Agreste car. Adrien and Gabriel sit side by side in the passengers' seats in silence. Adrien continues to look crestfallen while his father remains unfazed.
Adrien: Father, please, I know what I want. Let me live my life here in Paris with Marinette and my friends.
Gabriel: You must go through with this life like an Agreste. That's what your mother would have wanted. (Adrien revolts with tears, shedding in his eyes.)
Adrien: No! I'm sure that Mom would have just wanted me to be happy! (Gabriel doesn't respond. The car stops for a moment and Adrien forcefully attempts to open the car door. But to no avail, the door is completely locked, sending Adrien to tears. The car continues to move again. Now with nothing else to do, Adrien brings out his phone to call Marinette and tell her everything, once and for all. Marinette answers the call after a few seconds.)
Everyone in the audience (including Adrien himself) is beginning to tear up and sob quietly in sadness along with Adrien on-screen as they dig into their respective tissue boxes.
Marinette: (on the video call) Adrien!
Adrien: (voice breaking; in tears) Marinette, I should've told you sooner, but... up until the last minute, I thought I'd find a solution. I tried everything, I swear.
Marinette: (on the video call) Adrien, what's... what's going on?
Adrien: I have to leave Paris. (his voice breaks) I'm not worthy of your love. I feel terrible for hurting you.
Scene: Marinette's room. Marinette is holding her phone and Tikki watches her with sadness in her eyes as well.
Adrien: (on-call) I'm sorry. (With Adrien hanging up, Marinette drops to her knees and begins to cry. A tear drops on the lucky charm on her hand — the very same lucky charm Adrien has given her.)
Everyone in the audience continued sobbing quietly in sadness and heartbreak for the main couple on-screen.
Marinette: (sobbing) I made you a promise, Adrien, remember? Well, I'm going to keep it! I'll never abandon you! (runs off, with Tikki flying behind her)
Scene: The airport. The Gorilla escorts Adrien inside the Agreste private plane, with not a single smile on Adrien's face. Back in the Agreste car, Gabriel is on a video call with Tomoe.
Tomoe: (on-call) We have sold enough Alliances. Everywhere in the world, people are now at our mercy.
Gabriel: Once Kagami and Adrien are safe in London… (Inside the plane, the Gorilla buckles Adrien's seatbelt. He seems to feel bad while doing so, with nothing else to do against bringing back Adrien's freedom to be with the love of his life.) ...we will launch "Operation: Perfect Alliance". (But then...)
Marinette: (off-screen) Adrien! (Both Adrien and his bodyguard gasp at the sight of Marinette chasing him to the plane on her scooter while also being tailed by an airport technician.)
Airport technician: Stop! You're not allowed to be here!
"Wow! Love really makes us do crazy things. I can't believe that you'd ride on the runway on your scooter in a pretty dress for me," Adrien gushed about his girlfriend's romantic gesture still with tears in his eyes as everyone else gushed about it as well, also with tears still in their eyes.
Marinette: Adrieeeeen! (In the plane, the Gorilla quickly unbuckles Adrien's seatbelt and gestures to him to go see Marinette for the very last time. Adrien then quickly runs out of the plane, with Marinette also quickly mounting down her scooter to run towards Adrien. The two meet on the plane's stairs, grab each other by the arms and pull each other to share a bittersweet kiss — one where neither of them wants to let go of each other, that nothing will come between them. But alas...)
"AWWWWW!" Everyone in the audience gushed at the main couple's on-screen kiss as they continued sobbing into their tissues.
Gabriel: (to the airport technician, stepping out the car) You! Separate them! (The airport technician does as he is told, pulling Marinette away from Adrien. The Gorilla does the same, pulling Adrien away from Marinette. They never wanted to break the kiss, but as the Gorilla and the airport technician continued to pull them apart, they couldn't do anything but let each other go. The thought of being inseparable becomes nothing after they lose hold of each other as the Gorilla and the airport technician successfully pull them apart. The plane's door closes shut, leaving a crying Adrien on the plane seat. The Gorilla sympathizes with him and gives him the lucky charm that Marinette gave him. He clutches it tightly in his hands as he sobs. The plane departs, leaving Marinette alone on the runway with a broken heart.)
Epilogue: The view of the Eiffel Tower is bathed in colorful lights and fireworks, with people cheering in the background. Marinette arrives at the foot of the Eiffel Tower on her scooter to return just in time for the end-of-the-school-year dance. She mounts down her scooter and takes off her helmet, revealing her worn down mascara from her crying, yet she still tries to put on a brave face. Her phone rings shortly after — Chloé is the one calling her.
Marinette: Watch it, Chloé. I'm not in the mood.
Chloé: (on the plane) Good! Remember the secret I wanted to tell you? Well, guess what? Adrien's moving to London! None of you will ever see him again, and you will suffer! You're ridiculous! Utterly—
Marinette: Be quiet, Chloé. I already know your little secret. I know because Adrien told me. I also know that he loves me, and there's nothing you can do about it. Nothing! You've lost any and ALL power over us. You're the one who's ridiculous, Chloé. Utterly. Ridiculous! Enjoy your trip. (hangs up. With all her bullying backfiring at her, Chloé bursts into tears inside their private plane.)
"Brrrrr! That is a freezing cold tone if I've ever heard one," Alya remarked about her best friend's words to her former bully on-screen with everyone else practically shivering in agreement.
"Why did I even do that?" Chloe asked in exasperation towards her on-screen self.
"A pathetic and pointless attempt to make yourself feel better and somewhat powerful," Angel deadpanned towards the blonde girl. "Now that Marinette is officially not gonna take your crud anymore, you now have hit rock bottom, Chloe. You're being exiled from your home, you lost your only friends Adrien and Sabrina, and you practically lost your family's love and respect. I mean you're with your mom, but let's be real: she's forced to take you with her more than she actually wants to," Angel said as everyone else murmured in agreement. Unable to disagree as she sees herself finally at rock bottom on-screen, Chloe began crying at the thought all the while also in gratitude that her selfish and unacceptable behavior has been pointed out before she can do those horrible things in the future.
Epilogue: In Cerise's hideout, Cerise puts the Tsurugi briefcase that she stole from earlier on her desk and begins configuring it, holding out a screwdriver.
"WHAT IS SHE UP TO?!" Most of the audience loudly asked towards Lila/Cerise on-screen.
"Sorry, you won't see until the end," Angel apologized as she shrugged her shoulders much to her audience's light disappointment. "Anyway, the next episode is called Representation. Mr. Agreste akumatizes himself into a new villain called Nightormentor."
"Why?" Adrien asked curiously as well as everyone else.
"You'll see. By the way, this episode will reveal some more interesting secrets about your family's history with the Miraculous, Adrien," Angel answered as the blond boy gave a light gasp in shock upon hearing that along with everyone else. "Anyway, let's play!"
