Yukina's duel against Raika finally came, but it's not going well for her. She has 1350LP, Wild Ally Phoenix protected with Aurora Curtain with 2000def points, Wild Ally Spirit Phoenix at 2800atk points, and one face-down. Raika had Life Destroyer at 3000atk points and his life points were at 3500. Life Destroyer is also equipped with Psycho Joy. It's preventing Life Destroyer from being destroyed and give him some power, but that's not the current problem. Something was happening to Raika as dark power was flowing out of him and it sounded like he was going insane.
"What is going on down there?! Something is happening to Raika!" M.C. announced.
"Power! Power! Power! I want more power!" Raika called.
"What's happening to him?" Cindy questioned.
"I don't know, but it looks really bad." Kent said.
"It's Life Destroyer." All of them looked and saw Taiyo coming forward. "It's all the dark power from Life Destroyer."
"The dark power?" Henry questioned.
"Up until now, Raika has been absorbing power from his opponents and it's made him and Life Destroyer." Taiyo said. "However, one of the reasons that card was sealed away is because many can't handle the dark power that comes from it. Raika's absorbed too much power. It's now more than he can handle and he's beginning to lose control of himself."
"Lose control of himself?!" Sylvia said.
"What does that even mean?" Cindy said.
"That lust for power he's calling out isn't him. It's Life Destroyer." Taiyo said. "The power inside that card holds a strong desire to steal more power. It's now taking him over." That sounded all kinds of bad. The bottom line is that Raika is losing himself as that evil card is taking him away.
"This is bad. I've got do something, but what?" Yukina questioned.
"Nothing! There's nothing you can do!" Raika called. "All you can do is grant me more power! Feed me more energy so that I can destroy everything!"
"Pull yourself together, Raika! That's not you talking! It's that evil card!" Yukina called. "You've got to fight it! Don't let that thing take you over!"
"I will take every last bit of energy you have!" Raika called. "It's now my turn!" He drew his next card and with it about to be something horrible. "It's over! I activate Malicious Fiend: Life Destroyer's ability! I will drain away your monster's precious power and steal more of your energy to feed me!" Life Destroyer grabbed a hold of Wild Ally Spirit Phoenix and was draining away more power. It was like the spirit was fading away as Life Destroyer's power grew and his attack points went straight to 4400. Yukina was feeling more and more of her power being drained away. She felt so much of it being drained all at once.
"Yukina's energy!" Henry said. "He's trying to take every last bit of it!"
"Oh no! If his next attack hits, it's all over!" Cindy said as this isn't the outcome they need.
"Do something, Yukina!" Kent called as everyone cheered for her to keep fighting.
"I... I activate my trap..." Yukina said as she tried to use every bit of strength she could. "I activate Honest Reward! This trap allows me to bring back three monsters from my graveyard to my deck! After that, I get to draw two cards!" 'There's only one card that can save me! I just need to draw it!' She thought.
"Desperate attempts like that won't save you!" Raika said as Yukina moved as best as she could. She took her snake, leopard, and tortoise to return them to her deck and got ready to draw two cards. "Attack! Destroy and finish this!" Life Destroyer was getting ready to finish this, but Yukina kept fighting. She drew two cards and one of them was just what she needed.
"I got it! By sending Wild Ally Pangolin back to my deck, the damage is cut in half with my phoenix surviving!" Yukina said. Life Destroyer's attack was blocked with Yukina's life points dropping down to 550 and her phoenix survived. Still, the shockwaves from the attack traveled through the air and they were immense. Windows shattered and people had to endure the attack. Even M.C. in his helicopter had fight through it.
"What is this unbelievable power?! This is starting to get dangerous here, people!"
"At least she managed to survive." Hana said.
"Yeah, but that was way too close. Look at her down there." Sylvia said as they saw Yukina was barley keeping herself together.
"You won't win! I will be the one who wins!" Raika claimed. "I activate Tribute to the Doom! By sending my Malice Beast to the graveyard, your Wild Ally Spirit Phoenix is finished!" He said as spell wrapped bandages around her monster and completely destroyed it. "Destroy... More power... I will have it all!"
"No... I can't let you..." Yukina said as she tried to stand back up, but she ended up dropping down. She was struggling to stay awake as she had almost no power left.
"No! Yukina, you need to get up!" Cindy called.
"Come on! You need to win!" Kent called. Everyone was cheering for her, but it might not make much difference if she can't even get back up. It seemed like this could be the end, but there's always a little light to shine in the darkness. Inside the void that is Life Destroyer, a small ray of light shot out of him and hit Yukina.
"Hey. You're not laying down on the job, are you?" Yukina was opening her eyes as she was feeling energized She looked up and could see Felix standing over her.
"Felix?!"
"You need to stand, Yukina. You're the only one who can fight." Felix said.
"He's right." She looked and saw Sabaro as well. "It may not be easy, but there are so many lost in the darkness. Even Raika is being taken by it. You've got to be the light that shines through it."
"That's right, so get up." Yukina looked right ahead of her and saw Cray as well. "Remember, the only person you're allowed to lose to is me. Plus, this thing is a real monster. It's got to be stopped. Even if that means you've got to help Raika, you've got to bring that thing down."
"Felix... Sabaro... Cray..." Yukina said as she was amazed. Her friends used every bit of energy they could to help her.
"We're counting on you, Yukina. Beat that thing and get us out of there." Cray said as the three of them gave her every bit of energy they could and helped her stand on her feet. Yukina got back up and had more power with everyone glad to see that.
"What? How can you still have the strength to stand?" Raika said.
"They're right... What matters is that this thing is stopped." Yukina said. "So many people are trapped inside Life Destroyer, even if it means saving Raika from the darkness. My friends gave me every bit of strength they could to make sure I did that, and I'm not going to let that go to waste! It's my turn!" She drew her next card and it ended up being the spell card that could help her. "Perfect!"
"There's nothing you can do!" Raika called.
"I beg to differ!" Yukina said. "I activate Returning Home! This spell card allows me to take a Wild Ally that's in my graveyard and bring it back to my hand! Care to guess which one I'm bringing back?"
"I don't care." Raika said.
"You should. The one I'm bringing back is Wild Ally Unicorn!" Yukina said as she showed the monster she was taking back.
"When did that monster get in your graveyard?!" Raika said.
"From the very beginning." Yukina said. "Remember when I summoned my phoenix for the first time during this duel? I had to discard a couple cards to do that. My unicorn just happened to be one of them."
"Fine, take it back. You can't even bring that monster to your field. It can't help you." Raika claimed.
"That's where you're wrong. There were two cards I discarded, and the second one can help me now." Yukina said. "The second card I discarded was Wild Fusion, and I can activate this card from my graveyard!"
"From her graveyard?!" Cindy said as that sounded great to everyone.
"That's right. Wild Fusion can fuse her Wild Allies together when it's in the graveyard." Taiyo said.
"I activate Wild Fusion's affect from my graveyard, which allows me to fuse my Wild Ally Phoenix with the Wild Ally Unicorn that's in my graveyard!" Yukina said as her two monsters turned into energy and started mixing together. "I fusion summon Wild Ally Shimmering Phoenix!" Yukina called as her phoenix emerged on the field with 3500atk points. As the sun began to rise on this darkness, the light from Yukina's phoenix begins to shine through and brings hope. "I activate my Shimmering Phoenix's special ability! Malicious Fiend: Life Destroyer now loses 300atk points for each level of the monster that fused with my phoenix! Wild Ally Unicorn was level seven, so Life Destroyer loses 2100atk points!" Her phoenix shined a bright light that was damaging to Raika with Life Destroyer's power dropping down to 900.
"No! That light is too bright!" Raika complained.
"That's great, but it's still not enough." Sylvia said.
"She's right. Life Destroyer still can't be destroyed." Hana said. "Raika will also just gain life points when the attack passes."
"You probably think your trap is going to keep you safe." Yukina said as she retook Aurora Curtain from her graveyard. "Well, this spell is about to change that. I activate Beast Stomp! This spell is destroying your Psycho Joy!" She said as the trap was destroyed.
"No!" Raika called.
"It's all over now! Wild Ally Shimmering Phoenix, chase the darkness away with Grand Shining Wildfire!" Yukina called as her phoenix ignited itself in the brightest flames ever. It unleashed an intense explosion that blasted against Life Destroyer and dealt some damage to Raika as his life points dropped down to just 900. "And there's more! You now take damage equal to Life Destroyer's attack points!" Her phoenix dealt the final blow as it flew straight at Life Destroyer and pierced right through it, destroying the power that card had. As soon as that happened, all the power Life Destroyer stole was released and returning to all of those who it all belonged to. That means that Cray, Sabaro, Felix, and everyone else is awakening now.
"Is it over?!" Kent said.
"It is." Taiyo said. Yukina watched as her phoenix soared through the sky and saw Life Destroyer fall to pieces. A sign that she did what she sought to do.
"It's over..." Yukina said as she almost couldn't believe it. Just then, the tower became unstable and was breaking apart with Yukina and Raika on it. The whole thing collapsed and it didn't look good.
"Yukina!" Cindy called as they were all horrified that she and Raika might have been crushed, but really...something no less than a miracle happened. It was as if Yukina's cards came alive as she rode on her phoenix and even saved Raika from falling. It was truly a sight to be hold.
"Hang on, Raika. I've got you." Yukina said as Raika pulled himself together and saw he was saved by her.
"Yukina?" Raika said as he was surprised she actually saved him. The phoenix landed down and placed them both on the ground with them safe and sound.
"I don't know what happened, but Yukina and Raika are safe!" M.C. announced. "According to the score, Raika has lost all of his life points with Yukina being the winner! Yukina has won Duel Battlers! The biggest tournament in the country and Yukina is the one who won it all!" Duel Battlers has finally ended and Yukina was the one who did it all.
"I did it!" Yukina said as she was so excited. "I mean... We won." Yukina said as she stared down at her deck as she could feel that she won because of her father's deck and her friends.
"Yukina!" Speaking of her friends, she turned around and saw all of them coming towards her.
"You really won!" Cindy cheered.
"I knew you could do it!" Kent cheered.
"That was so awesome!" Henry said.
"You never gave up, even when most would have. You finally settled your score with Raika." Hana said.
"We always knew you would win in the end." Sylvia said as everyone was so happy.
"What's all this about? Don't tell me we missed the fireworks." All of them turned around and saw their other friends were back on their feet.
"Cray! You're back!" Kent cheered as he wanted to wrap his arms around him, but Cray just pushed him out of the way.
"You did it, Yukina!" Sabaro said.
"We always knew that you would." Felix said.
"It's only because I had all of you to help me." Yukina said. Even those who dueled for the Black Ace were back on their feet and amazed that Yukina was able to defeat the likes of Raika.
"You did well, Yukina." Taiyo said as even he was pleased. "Your father would be most proud of you."
"Yeah..." Yukina said as she could feel that her father would feel that way. "Raika..." She turned to him about what happened, but she saw that Raika was already gone and he still had the card with him. "He's gone!"
"He still has Life Destroyer! Should we be worried?!" Felix said.
"I wouldn't worry too much about it." Taiyo said. "The Black Ace's plans have gone up in smoke, and it looks like Raika is done with them. Even if they come back, we'll be ready for them." They all thought reassured knowing the Black Ace's plans are finished. If they come back, they know they can stop them again.
"Speak for yourself." Cray said. "There was only one reason I did this. Now that it's all over, Yukina, it's business as usual! I'm aiming to beat you!"
"After all that, you're still thinking about that?" Yukina said. "I guess I shouldn't have expected anything less."
"Hold on! I want to duel Yukina!"
"I'm dueling her first!"
"No, I am!" Yukina looked and saw a real crowd was forming to duel her. After a tournament like that, everyone feels like dueling. This is what Yukina loves to see. Everyone who wants to duel wants to do it for fun and enjoyment rather than malicious purposes. They're ready to play it and play it right.
