Manly Hardness Against the Shadow Bird
"That fight was something else, both girls gave it their all!" Eijiro commented.
"Yeah, but it was still one-sided with that Kimi girl laying down most of the beating and she didn't even use her Quirk." Rikido pointed out how tough Kimi is.
"Yeah, that just shows how well-trained the students in Musashi Ariadust are even when they're first years." Izuku nodded while taking notes of the fight and saw that Momo is actually smiling.
"Hey dude, isn't your match up next?" Minoru asked the harden red hair.
"Oh crap, that's right! I better get going now!" Eijiro hurried over to the waiting room before he and Fumikage are called out.
"So Midoriya, there's something I wanted to ask you for a while now." Mashirao said to Izuku.
"What's up?" Izuku asked, wondering what his muscular tail classmate wants.
"You seem to look like you know Kimi a little longer than the rest of us, is she your childhood friend or something?" Mashirao asked curiously which made Izuku blush in shock.
"No, no, I only just met her recently! Like, huh, one week before the UA Sports Festival. She came to the beach by chance as I might have bump into her during my training session, but then we became friends." Izuku explained how he and Kimi met a little.
"Sounds like something else happened." Minoru narrowed his eyes at Izuku, making the green hair boy sweat.
"Hey everyone, hope you still got some more cheering and excitement in those tanks of yours because we're about enter the 7th match of the tournament!" Makiko announced with a grin.
The crowd gets excited again as they always do, waiting for the next pair of heroes in training to show them what they are capable of.
"Oh yeah, that's what I like to hear!" Present Mic pleased with the shouting.
"Hello, Izuku! Did you see my match? Wasn't I wonderful?" Kimi asked with a cheerful smile.
"Y-Yeah, you were amazing out there, Kimi!" Izuku answered stuttering and blushing.
"You know, we might be able to fight each other if we fight our own opponents." Kimi pointed out with a grin.
"O-Oh, well, huh, I hope you give me y-your all." Izuku gulped with a nervous smile.
"Same here. And you'll be closer to that promise." Kimi winked at Izuku before going back to her seat.
Saying that causes Izuku to groan with putting his face onto his two hands feeling so embarrassed from that as most of his classmates are curious on what was that about.
"Kimi, what promise did you make with Izuku?" Horizon asked curiously.
"Oh, that will be all clear soon." Kimi giggled.
"Offense and defense in one! The dark samurai and his darker shadow! From the Hero Course, Fumikage Tokoyami!" Present Mic introduced Fumikage who stood silent and serious.
"Versus the guy who is known to be the hardest kid around and that means literally that he is too hard to be put down, also from the same class as Fumikage. Eijiro Kirishima!" Makiko introduced the next student.
"Alright, time to beat down a shadow." Eijiro cracked his knuckles.
"My darkness will swallow away the victory you hope to obtain." Fumikage stated with his arms cross.
"(Better be careful with this guy's Quirk, it's good for both close-up combat and long-range since Dark Shadow can move himself long from Tokoyami.)" Eijiro thought remembered how Fumikage's Quirk works.
"(Which means I gotta power through whatever strike he'll do and beat him down!)" Eijiro thought determined.
"Long range combat vs short range combat, now this is the kind of battle that most people would want to see." Makiko grinned.
"Oh yeah, let see which one of them is the superior one in this battle!" Present Mic smirked.
"Seventh Match starts now!" Present Mic and Makiko shouted at the same time.
(Music: Black Sheep, Sonata Arctica)
"Go get him, Dark Shadow!" Fumikage commanded.
"Right!" Dark Shadow popped out of his user's body and charged straight at Eijiro.
"(Fuck, he's fast!)" Eijiro thought gasped.
Eijiro quickly activate his Harden Quirk to prepare himself for the tackle that pushes him a few feet back, he didn't waste any time with the moment Dark Shadow bounce off his arm and ran for the shadow user with his harden fists.
"I better get him while I have the chance!" Eijiro said to himself.
"If you think you can get to me like that, then you got another thing coming!" Fumikage saw that this battle is already his.
Dark Shadow turns around to attack the red hair boy again with a couple of claw attacks that he was able to dodge while still running though ended up rolling on the ground.
"I got you now!" Dark Shadow moved above Eijiro.
Eijiro quickly put up his arms together, hardening them to defend against the shadow monster Quirk's attacks which has him pin down for a moment until he was able to strike back with a punch to the beak.
Then Eijiro got himself back up while punching Dark Shadow some more and shoulder throw the shadow Quirk down onto the ground.
"Would you look at that! Kirishima appears to be doing better against Dark Shadow then expected!" Present Mic commented.
"Now for you!" Eijiro turned around to face Fumikage.
"Crap, he's gunning for me!" Fumikage shocked.
Eijiro runs again with one punch throw to the face, but Fumikage was able to dodge that and was forced to dodge some more punches from the red hair harden boy.
"Come on! Show me how much of a man you really are with your own fist!" Eijiro demanded.
"If I were to do that then I would end up hurting myself more than trying to hurt you." Fumikage stated as he dodges two more punches.
But one punch was able to hit Fumikage in the face and felt another punch in the stomach making him stumble back a little.
"Sorry to make this battle quick, but I have to win this!" Eijiro apologized just as he was about to land the final blow that would send Fumikage flying out of the ring.
"No need to apologize, I feel the same way." Fumikage smiled.
Eijiro is shocked to see that his opponent and classmate is smiling in the moment of his defeat only to realize too late that Dark Shadow has returned to battle and grabs Eijiro's body with both shadowy hands and one arm within that hold.
"What the what?!" Eijiro gasped.
"You may have physical strength over me, but my Quirk is another story that strong blows can't keep him down for long!" Fumikage stated.
"Now you're caught in our trap!" Dark Shadow smirked.
"Wow, so Dark Shadow was able to recover fast to catch Eijiro who was focus on Fumikage." Suzu impressed upon hearing all of that.
"Indeed, Fumikage's Quirk was the biggest obstacle Kirishima should have move focus on yet that really wouldn't change anything for the outcome of this battle." Gin stated.
"Damn it, don't think you can hold me for long!" Eijiro started pounding away Dark Shadow's hands with his one free fist, but his attacks are barely doing anything to the shadow creature.
"Time for you to fall off the ring and into the abyss of defeat." Fumikage declared.
"Bye-bye!" Dark Shadow lifted Eijiro over his eyes and threw him pretty far and right out of the ring.
(Music End)
"Oh man…" Eijiro groaned, the fall didn't hurt but felt bad about losing the fight.
"Oh man, looks like Eijiro couldn't harden himself enough to get a win." Makiko commented.
"Kirishima is out of bounds! The winner who will advance to the next round is Fumikage Tokoyami!" Midnight announced.
"Tokoyami has always been going on about the darkness being his ally, and today he proven that right with his Quirk." Present Mic commented.
"That sure was a close one near the end." Kyka commented.
"Wei, I thought for sure Kirishima had Tokoyami on the rope back there." Yuga nodded.
"But the way Tokoyami made that sick move and threw him away was something else." Rikido commented while Koji nods.
(Player Waiting Room 2)
Tenya sighs on how humiliating it was for him to be stuntman for Mei's support gear show like the fight itself wasn't what Mei was hoping for at all, he hopes that his brother wasn't watching that part as he rooms the waiting room.
"Hey Iida, you did great out there." Ochaco greeted.
"Oh, Urara—Whoa, what's with that face?" Tenya gasped upon seeing Ochaco with a dark face.
"My face?" Ochaco confused but realize it's probably just her being nervous.
"Oh, it's nothing! I guess I'm not great at hiding how nervous I am." Ochaco said, rubbing the back of her head.
"I get that. You are up against Bakugo, after all. Not exactly an easy match." Tenya said, knowing how powerful Katsuki is from their short time in their first battle training.
"Yeah, I'm kinda scared. But you know, after seeing your match, I feel a little better." Ochaco said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Tenya puzzled of this.
"She means who silly of a fool you were for letting Mei use you like that." Kimi stated as she and Izuku enters the room.
"Deku! And Kimi too!" Ochaco surprised to see them here.
"Why aren't you guys out there watching the matches?" Ochaco asked.
"The other matches have already ended, silly. With Eijiro and Fumikage match ending with the latter on top." Kimi answered.
"Yeah, kind of expected that given how we know Tokoyami's Quirk works." Izuku said.
"So, feeling prepared in the mind than body?" Kimi asked as she sits down.
"Huh, maybe." Ochaco said.
"It'll be okay. I don't think Bakugo would use the full power of his explosions on a girl, right?" Tenya hoped that's the case.
"Yeah, he would." Izuku answered, dropping Tenya's drop and making Ochaco's whimpers.
"And besides, everyone's trying to get the top spot in these games. Even if she wasn't fighting Kacchan, I don't think anyone would hold back." Izuku pointed out.
"I wish there was a way for me to help you since you helped me so much, but there isn't enough time since your match is about to start." Izuku said as he held his notebook.
"But she doesn't want that, am I right?" Kimi asked.
"Yeah…" Ochaco nodded, surprising both Tenya and Izuku.
"I'm sure you notice by now that Deku is really amazing, showing me that over and over again of how wonderful he is." Ochaco complimented, making Izuku blush a bit.
"During the cavalry battle, I told you it was good to team up with friends. But now that I think about it, I might've been trying to rely on you to get by." Ochaco recalled as she stands up.
"But now you realize that it's time to move forward on your own two legs, to show everyone your own Plus Ultra." Kimi said, remembering UA High's motto.
"That's right, everyone's facing their future and giving this their best. That means we're all rivals, all of us." Ochaco nodded.
"Then you go out there and do your very best!" Kimi said with both hands on Ochaco's shoulders.
"Even though you may not win in the end, what's important is that you don't give up fighting to show all of those Pro Heroes how tough your body and you can power through those nasty booms!" Kimi encouraged Ochaco to go for the long distance.
"Huh, you mean Bakugo's Quirk, right?" Tenya asked, not liking how it was sounded right there.
"As Deku said, Katsuki will be going at full power which means you gotta do the same!" Kimi advised.
"Right, I will!" Ochaco nodded.
"Good, and one more advice." Kimi said as she held one finger.
"Fear is something that nobody wants to have, but it's always with us no matter what. So, the more scared you are, the bolder you must be. Transform your fears into excitement!" Kimi advised to Ochaco to make her fears into strength.
"Okay, I'll try." Ochaco said before walking out.
"Wow Kimi, those were some pretty great words you said to Uraraka. Where did you get that from?" Izuku asked.
"Someone I knew long ago taught me those words when I had problems with my fear of ghosts, and I still do. But those words stuck with me even now." Kimi answered.
"(I hope that was okay, Tori.)" Kimi thought looked up at the ceiling.
(At the Fighting Stage)
"Alright everyone, it is time we begin the eighth match!" Present Mic announced as the crowd goes wild for the next match.
The scene shows Katsuki on the left and Ochaco on the right.
"Ribbit. This might be the most disturbing matchup." Tsuyu commented.
"I know, I almost don't wanna watch it." Kyoka exclaimed.
But others like Izuku, Kimi, and Tenya are showing the face support and strength in their eyes that they want to see Ochaco give this match her all.
"I do hope Ochaco will be alright from this fight." Horizon said, almost sounding concern.
"I see you've grown to be her friend. Not to worry, Horizon. She'll definitely give it her all, show everyone how strong her spirit is." Kimi stated with a pat on Horizon's shoulder.
"Sounds like you've grown close to her too." Suzu commented on that.
"Alright, we are here in the eighth and final match in the first round of matches!" Present Mic announced.
"Here we have the guy who literally explodes in rage and always shows that he means business when it comes to reaching his goal with his own two hands! Not to mention the always mean look on his face that is like a warning sign, UA Hero Course student from Class 1-A, Katsuki Bakugo!" Makiko introduced Katsuki.
"Versus… The one I'm personally rooting for, the one who can give a floating personality and I mean literally floating. Also from Class 1-A, Ochaco Uraraka!" Present Mic presented the girl.
Ochaco in hale for a second and exhale for another second, then look directly at Katsuki with a strong determined look on her face. She even started to remember what Kimi said to her back in the waiting room, about how to turn her fear into strength and be bolder when fighting against a powerful guy like Katsuki.
"You're the one who screws around with gravity. Right, pink cheeks?" Katsuki asked.
"Pink cheeks?" Ochaco surprised, wondering where did that nickname come from, and can't Katsuki just say her name.
"Well, if you're gonna give up, do it now. 'Cause I'm not gonna hold anything back." Katsuki said.
"I know, and I'm perfectly fine with that!" Ochaco said, surprising Katsuki.
"I want you to fight me with your best when I'm fighting at my very best too! No holds bar!" Ochaco stated strongly.
"(Uh, this girl actually has some guts to ask me for my best. I'm almost impress.)" Katsuki thought commented on this girl.
"Midoriya?" Tenya said to get his friend's attention.
"I'm curious, what was that strategy you came up with that would give Uraraka an advantage against Bakugo?" Tenya asked, remembering that Izuku brought his notebook with him into the waiting room.
"Honestly, it wasn't really much of a plan." Izuku admitted as he looks at the notebook Katsuki burned with his explosion back in middle school.
"Kacchan's so strong. When it comes to close combat, he almost never has any openings. And the more he moves, the more he sweats, which just makes his Quirk more powerful." Izuku explained and remembered the time of their first fight in the battle training.
"He's gotten really good at using his explosions to move around in the air. But if Uraraka is able to touch him, she can use her Quirk to make him float. She could send him out of bounds. That's why, it's obvious what Uraraka needs to do to get the upper hand." Izuku believed to be Ochaco's plan to win this.
"I'm not sure about that." Suzu said, getting Izuku's attention.
"Remember, you said that Katsuki can move around in the air with his Explosion Quirk. Wouldn't he just propel himself back at Ochaco?" Suzu asked, making Izuku realize this too.
"Oh crap, now this is really going to be hard for Uraraka!" Izuku worried, but he wouldn't show fear as he wants to cheer for Ochaco to do her very best.
"Time for the eighth match to start… NOW!" Makiko cheered.

Now we have come to the final match of the first round where Ochaco will facing off against Katsuki though she seems more determined from Kimi's pip talk, let's hope Ochaco will be able to at least land a blow or two on him as we know how this will turn out.
