ONE PIECE X RWBY Volume 1: The Beginning of the Straw Hat Pirates

Hello again, another week, another chapter, and another time to share this awesome story. I really appreciate the support that this story has received in the past few weeks. I was so excited to write this chapter because, at this point, it appears to have more action than the last one and is here! How will Luffy confront the proof in the Emerald Forest? Is Zoro going to finally stop losing and find the correct way? Are Usopp and Jaune going to survive a probable death upon their arrival? All of these questions are going to be answered in this chapter of this crossover!

Pancake2000: Thanks! Yeah, I really enjoyed writing about the relationship between Usopp and Jaune because they were considered the most weakest members of their respective groups who had problems with their skills and powers at their respective beginnings. For your question, Fish Man and Faunus are quite different. I know that in the series there are Faunus who has fish characteristics. But, in this version, Fish Man are considered distant relatives of the Faunus. Besides, I can add that these have a good relationship between species. On the other side, Remnant has knowledge about pirates and who is considered the most dangerous. Plus the problem of Grimm to the pirate equation and you will realize why they are a serious problem in Remnant. And about Salem, yeah, I think that in this world, her power is going to be at the right level to at least confront characters with monstrous power. Finally, if Ace and Yang meet, they will have a good relationship as the older siblings they are. Chapter 3: Forming teams! The battle against Grimm!

"Birdie, no!", and the peace of the environment was interrupted by the arrival of the first-year Beacon students, who had begun their initiation. They are ready to form their teams and know not only who is going to be part of their team, but also who will share their lives until their graduation. Ruby accidentally hits a crow, but even that didn't stop her from focusing on knowing where to land. At that moment, the red-hooded young girl decides to change her Crescent Rose into her sniper model and shoots to retain her speed. Then, she returns her weapon to her scythe form and uses it to hold herself in the branches of trees.

In another part of the forest, Zoro draws two of his swords, and while he is falling, he cuts many trees around him. Then, he liberates her ancestral energy, and, with his force, he creates a wind on a nearby rock that was in his front, which helped him slow his landing. With this power, the green swordsman arrives in the forest, making, at the same time, a cut in the rock in the shape of an "X".

The Schnee Company heiress, Weiss, had a determined gaze when she was landing in the forest. At that moment, she draws her Myrtenaster and uses it to create many white glyphs that she use as platforms. With this, the heiress descends easier to the ground. When she arrived, she took a breath before begin walking to find the a partner and the temple were the relics were hiden.

"YAHOOOO!" Suddenly, she notices a young man screaming with a happy tone in the air. It is Luffy who seems to have fun, even if he is falling in a forest at high speed. After seeing this awkward moment, Weiss rolled her eyes and continued her path.

Luffy finish laughing and focus his gaze on a big tree. "Well, this is my stop!", Straw Hat says before preparing his rubber arm and stretch it on the branch of the big tree. This action made him stop spinning, and, after making a pirouette, he finally landed on the ground. "YAY! Now it's time to find Zoro!", Luffy says. Then, he sniffs the zone to find the smell of the meat that Zoro has. "Hmm... it is in this direction!", the rubber man says before going where the meat smell is.

"THIS FEEL AWESOME!", Nora says while she is near to land in the forest. She destroy some trees with her hammer, and then lands, crushing the ground. At that position, she visualizes her friend, Ren, arriving in a nearby place. For his strategy, the green ninja uses his weapons to hold himself in a tree trunk and spin around it to finally land. Seeing this, the energetic girl decides to go whit her best friend walking happily trought the bunches.

The cook of The Baratie, Sanji, bounces using the dust from his Gentle Shoes. When he was near a group of trees, he approached them and jumped on them, landing softly. Curiously, the place where he arrived was near a group of bushes that have different species of berries. The blond-haired man comes and analyzes them so quietly. "Hmm, looks like Emeral Forest is the home for various species of berries". Then, he takes a berry and, after analizing it for a few minutes, he proves one.

"As I expect, these don't have poison. Not only that, but these are also great ways to prepare some special dishes. This is a good opportunity that I don't want to miss," Sanji says, before taking some of the berries and putting them in his pockets. After that, he finally decides to move around the forest to find the relics.

"Woo-hoo! Yes!". On another place, Yang feels to enjoy moving through the sky using her Ember Celica. She looks to love the feel of the air passing around her hair because it makes her feel her freedom. In a moment, she passes through many trees, but without any worry, she comes out without any injury. Finally, she jumped using the trunks of the trees and then arrived at the ground. "Nailed it!".

The invincible champion, Pyrrha, crossed many tree trunks with the help of her Mylo in its sword form, letting her move in the air to then land on a branch of a big tree. Then, she transforms her weapon into its rifle form. Through the sight of Mylo, the champion analyzes the zone when she notices an armored guy falling and screaming loudly. Jaune is spinning around in the sky, and he seems to don't know how to land safety in the forest. Quickly, Pyrrha transformed Mylo into it javelin form. Then, she calculates the distance between her and Jaune. After that, she launches her javelin strongly to the place where the Jaune is falling,

"AAAAAAAaaaaaaaa."

*CLANK*

...

"Thank you!", Jaune says, confirming that he was saved by Pyrrha.

"I'm sorry!", Pyrrha exclaims while she comes down the tree.

"I'll gotta find Yang!", Ruby finally arrives from the tree, she engages and begins to run to quickly find her older sister. "I'll gotta find Yang! I'll gotta find Yang! I'll gotta find!". The worried silver-eyed girl runs in many places in the forest, but without getting signals of her sister. "Yang! Yang! Hoo, this is bad. This is really bad. Hoo, what if I can't find her? What if someone finds her first?", Ruby asks herself with a worried face. Being on a team with his sister would be advantageous for her because she is the only one who knows much about her. Besides, she needs support to communicate with the rest of her team.

However, even if she can't find her, she still has other options. "There's always Jaune, he's nice, he's funny, but I don't think he's very good in a fight. Then there is Usopp! He is too hilarious, and he is an artist at crafting special munitions, but as I see it, he is a little coward, and his lies would bring some problems. Zoro would be a good option, he's strong, and his three-sword style sounds so cool, but I would need to pay attention, or he would get lost. Oh! What about Blake?! She's so mysterious, so calm, plus she likes books! Well, then again, I'm not sure I'd be able to hold a conversation with her. But it seems too difficult to communicate with her. I don't know a lot about Sanji, but he says he can destroy Grimm so fast... Yug! No, bad idea. He is too weird, and he has a serious attraction to women. I don't want to think about whether I'm on a team with him. What about Luffy? He is so kind. He likes to make smile everyone. He looks he cares a lot of his friends, but I think he sometimes becomes so fast distracted. Ughh! Okay, who else do I know at this school? There's Yang, Jaune, Usopp, Zoro, Blake, Sanji, Luffy, and…"

When Ruby was thinking about other possible options to know who a possible teammate could be, she finally found someone who was going to share moments with her throughout the trajectory of her studies. In the middle of the forest, Weiss Schnee was walking so calmly before turning her gaze and seeing Ruby. At first, they didn't have any kind of reaction. But then, Ruby's face draws a soft smile to the heiress, allowing them to finally begin their first interaction as partners. Otherwise, Weiss turns around and goes down a different path, leaving the hooded girl, who is surprised by this reaction and says, "Wait! Where are you going?!" Ruby advised Weiss to return, but she didn't stop walking and ignoring Ruby. "We're supposed to be teammates," Ruby says with a defeated tone.

The Schnee Heiress walks through the bushes, trying to go away from Ruby and find another better option as a partner. At that moment, she notices that Jaune is there with Mylo. He has stuck with his hoodie on a tree by Pyrrha's javaline. He waves her with a soft laugh, but when Weiss discover that is Jaune, she decides to return to the path where she comes from and drags Ruby by her hood, accepting her as a partner because of the lack of options. "By no means does this make us friends," Weiss says in a serious tone.

"You came back!", Ruby says in a happy tone.

Meanwhile, Jaune is still trapped and tries to call Ruby and Weiss for help, "Hey wait! Come back! Who's gonna get me down from here?!".

"Jaune?!", The armored guy turns his gaze and discovers Pyrrha who is watching him from the ground with a cute smile. "Do you… have any spots left on your team?", the champion asks.

"Very funny", Jaune says, crossing his arms and trying to avoid Pyrrha's eyes because of the embarrassment. However, it could take only a few seconds before he finally turns his gaze to the invincible girl and gives her a smile. With this, Pyrrha returns her smile because of the happiness that she is feeling to be on a team with Jaune.

"According to the condiments that the meat has and his delicious smell, I think that I'm in the correct way, right?", Luffy asks a bird with whom he is traveling before going away and leaving him alone again. "Oh, come on, why do birds hate me?", Luffy says with a tired tone. After arriving, Straw Hat tried to find Zoro for a long time, but it seems that when he tried to find the smell, it seemed that it was getting far from him. "How much time have I need to find Zoro?", Luffy says, totally defeated.

"Anyway, maybe I need to be more positive, and I just know how to do it," Luffy says with a big smile. At that moment, he takes a small branch from the ground, and, while he walks, he sings a "curious" song, "The sky in the east is up early. The weather is so fine. There are only fools there. The island in the east is great. Parapapapu, papapu. The birds sing…"

"WAAHHHH! I'M GOING TO DIE!", Luffy stops singing and hears a scared voice near him. Straw Hat puts his hand on his forehead to avoid the sunlight going to his eyes and tries to better visualize the origin of the voice. Suddenly, his eyes go big, and he surprises himself by discovering who is screaming, "USOPP!"

Since his launch, Usopp hasn't stopped spinning through the sky, and he feels that it has not ended. He would launch any special munition from his bag to save himself, but his fear doesn't let him do that. The only thing that he can do is scream and think about what he is doing for his life. "What have I decided to do this for? I know that being a brave warrior is my principal objective, but why don't I think about the consequences?! Think, Usopp, there is a reason why I end like this!"

Five days ago ….

Gecko Islands - Syrup Village

"You're going to do what?!", a little boy with glasses called Tamanegi says with a surprised expression.

"Captain, are you sure you want to leave Syrup Village?", the other child with an apple-shaped hat called Piiman says with a nervous tone.

"Why you say that? Is that you don't want to have adventures with us? We enjoy each moment as Usopp Pirates, are you sure you want to do this?", a boy with a short spiky purple hair called Ninjin says with tears in his eyes.

"Come on, my crew, don't worry about me. See this as an opportunity that we have. We could finally become real warriors!", Usopp says, crossing his arms and pointing himself with a proud expression. At that moment, they are sitting in a trunk near the village, where they always have their pirate meetings.

"But how we could do that if we're not going to stay together?", Piiman asks.

"Easy my dear crewmates, I'm going to learn how to be a powerful huntsman. Then, I'll convince my teammates to join us to our crew and then return here to train you as valorous protectors of the village!", Usopp says.

"Ooh, and they will stop calling you as the liar of the village!", Ninjin says with a big smile.

"And then we're gonna be famous!", Tamanegi says jumping with joy.

However, only one child is concerned about this, "But Captain, what happen about your dream to sail to the waters? Don't you want to become a pirate?", Piiman asks with a worried gaze.

"Well, yes, I wanna become someday, but first I need to become stronger. Also, I need to prove me to know if I'm ready to follow the same path of my awesome dad", Usopp says with a serious tone.

"You have a point, captain. But, what about Kaya?", Piiman asks.

"Yeah, she's still recovering. What could happen to her?", Ninjin asks.

"They're right! Your stories are the principal reasons of why she can't stop smiling; if you go to Beacon, what will happen to her?", Tamanegi asks with a worried gaze.

At that moment, Usopp's smile disappeared because his crew has reason, if she goes, what is going to happen to her best friend? Then he turns his gaze where is Kaya's mansion. Then, the Faunus chameleon stands up and sighs, "I want to do something more special to her than only telling stories, I wanna become them real."

"No way! Are you sure, Ussop?"

"Yes, the greatest achievement of Captain Ussop! Now in a few days I'm going to Beacon!", the Faunus says with a proud tone. Ussop is sitting on a branch of a tree to talk with Kaya, his best friend. She is a fair-skinned girl with pale blonde hair that reaches her shoulders and wide brown eyes. She wears a light blue, sleeveless nightgown. However, at that moment, her face had a pale tone, showing that she was not in good condition.

"That's great to hear, Usopp, now your adventures are going to be greater than before!", Kaya says with a smile.

"Of course! Beacon needs to be prepared for me! Not for nothing, I got prepared a lot of thanks for my experience that I get in many adventures around the sea since my childhood, just like that day when I have an encounter with a Griffon!", Usopp says.

"Wow! You really saw that kind of Grimm?", Kaya asks.

"Totally real, the Griffon was attacking my little ship on the ocean. It was so dangerous and caused a lot of fear; however, I cut its wings, and landed at the sea. You would have liked to see how that monster tried to escape from the water! It was like a little kitty!", Usopp laughs before Kaya joins him.

"Hahahahaha, *COF**COF*," suddenly, Kaya begins coughing making Usopp stopping laughing and looking worried at his best friend.

"Kaya! Are you ok?!", Usopp exclaims.

"D-don't worry, I'm ok," Kaya says to try to worry Usopp.

However, he looks so concerned. What could happen if he leaves the village? What could happen to Kaya? Is she going to be okay? After getting all these questions, Usopp turns his worried gaze to his friend, saying, "Kaya, I don't want to worry you, but I'm not sure if being outside the village for a long time would be a great idea."

"Why are you saying that, Usopp? It is because of me?" Kaya says this with a worried tone.

"N-No, that's not your fault; it's just that, even for my reputation, I will miss this place; I will miss playing frequently with my cared crew, and how... well... I will miss seeing you smile when I tell you about my greatest adventures. I don't think that I'm ready," Usopp says while his scales turn pink.

At that moment, Kaya's face began to show a soft blush too. However, she knows that Usopp's dream wouldn't come true if he spent a lot of time in the village, so she decides to smile to him and say, "Usopp, don't worry, I'll be ok. Yeah, maybe it would be difficult, but if you want to go to Beacon, that's all good. Just try to be safe and don't let yourself be damaged, ok?" Then, she gaves Ussop a handkerchief to him that has her first letter of her name, "Take this, if you feel that you miss the village, you can see this to remember your treasured memories that you made here along your crewmates... and me".

The long-nosed man stays looking at the handkerchief before sending thumbs along with a smile to Kaya. "Don't worry, Kaya, I'll send you messages and try to visit you in the break days!", Usopp says with a smile.

"Really?!", Kaya exclaims with a smile.

"Sure, this is not the last time we are going to see each other. I promise that the great Captain Usopp is going to be healthy and safe!"

"WAAAAAHHHH! I need to think more about my promises!", Usopp shouts while he is still moving around the sky without control. Suddenly, he visualizes something horrible, he is gonna crush a big rock! When he notices that, he screams louder, "This is how I'm going to die?! I'm not ready yet! I need to become a brave man, to still command Usopp Pirates, to tell stories to Kaya, to become a powerful sniper just like my dad, to become a real pirate!"

"Gum Gum Rocket!", When the Faunus was near the rock, Luffy, holding two trees with his rubber arms, launched himself to save Usopp from a horrible death. However, even if he avoided the fate of the Faunus, he couldn't avoid hitting him. So, after that, both young men begins to fall, but Luffy still has a plan."Gum Gum Balloon!" At that moment, Luffy's body inflates, and when they arrive at the ground, Usopp bounces in Straw Hat's belly, succeeding in the rescue.

"I-I thought that I would die, you see, destiny! Captain Usopp is not going to die today!", Usopp shouts to the sky before picking up the handkerchief that Kaya gives him. "Well, Kaya, I guess I'm doing great until now achieve in our promise", Usopp says in his mind before saving Kaya's handkerchief. At that moment, he moves his gaze around and discovers where he is lying. After some seconds of seeing an inflated Luffy, he scares a lot and jumps from him. "W-What happened to you, Luffy? Are you a balloon?"

At that moment, Luffy opens his mouth to liberate the air from his body. After a time, his body recovers its normal appearance. "That was so close, luckily, I was near you. So, why did you not use your incredible munitions to try to stop your falling?", Straw Hat asks with a confused gaze.

"It's so difficult to explain; basically, it was difficult to open my bag because I can't stop spinning in the air... Wait a minute, YOU'RE WHO NEEDS TO GIVE ME EXPLANATIONS!", Usopp shouts.

"Huh?", Luffy asks with a confused tone.

"Explain me this: why was your body moving so weird? How do you inflate yourself? I've never seen a Semblance functioning like that", Usopp reclaims, answering Luffy because he was acting so weird the last time.

"Oh, simple," Luffy said, taking one of his cheeks and stretching it with his hand, "it's because I ate the Gum Gum fruit, I'm a rubber man!"

"Gum Gum fruit? ", Usopp asks.

"Yup, with that power, I can stretch so long as I want and inflate myself," Luffy explains with a smile.

"That power sounds so weird, and, no offenses, a little ridiculous, but I can't avoid saying thank you for saving me!", Usopp says.

"Don't worry, that is what friends are for," Luffy says. At that moment, Straw Hat notices that Usopp is not totally feeling good because he sits on a rock and has a sad expression. "Ussop, all is right?"

"Actually, no, as you saw, I'm not totally powerful as I described, and since I arrived here, I've only brought a lot of problems to you," Usopp says.

"What are you talking about?", Luffy says in a confused tone.

"Don't you see? I put you in danger when I trapped us with my big backpack. Besides, I know that you and Zoro were planning to be on the same team. Before we started, I saw how you were talking at each other as if you had something in mind. However, I ruin that because, as you see, we're officially partners because we cross gazes," Usopp says while he looks down the ground.

"Oh, don't worry about that. You're right that I had a plan with Zoro, but we thought that something like this would happen. Besides, I wasn't going to let my friend be damaged so easily," Luffy says with a smile. Usopp is reflecting on what happened, and even if Luffy was not angry with him, he was still upset with himself.

"You don't understand, I'm not only angry to ruin your reunion, but I'm also feeling angry because I'm not ready yet to make my dream come true," Ussop says.

"Your dream? And what is it?", Luffy asks.

"Well, my dream is to someday become a brave warrior of the sea," Ussop says with a determined gaze. "Since I was a kid, I was leaving my village hearing about stories and wishing for adventures around the sea. Of course, I had opportunities to travel around East Blue, but one day I want to sail to see and travel to other emotional places. No matter who is going to criticize me, I want to show anybody that I could become stronger and a great sniper, like my dad."

"Your dad?", Luffy asks.

At that moment, Ussop's face draws a smile, and he stands up so quickly, showing his emotion, "Yeah! As you need to know, my dad is really famous in the seas of Remnant because of his awesome shooting skills and because he is a ´powerful crewmate of one of the most dangerous pirate crews in this world, the Red-Haired Pirates, commanded by his awesome captain, "Red-Haired" Shanks!"

"Ah, Luffy, why are you smiling like that? Are you ok?", Usopp asks.

"Hello, are you there? You're scaring me," Usopp says while he waves his hand in front of Luffy, who is totally frozen. However, it only takes a few seconds before Luffy returns to reality and explodes like a joy bomb.

"NO WAY! You're that Usopp, the son of Yasopp!"

"WHAT?! You know my father?!", Usopp asks with a surprised tone.

"YES! I met him along with the rest of the Red-Haired Pirates, especially Shanks!", Luffy replies with a big smile.

"YOU MEET SHANKS?!", Usopp exclaims so hard. Until that moment, his mind was blowing because he never expected that his recent friend would meet one of the most known pirates of Remnant.

"Yeah, when I was a kid, he visited my island a lot of times. Yasopp showed me how his shooting skills are so incredible, he's so COOL!", Luffy replies. At that moment, an idea passes through his mind, so he turns his gaze to Usopp before asking a simple question, "Tell me, are you the captain of a pirate crew?"

Hearing this unexpected question, Usopp draws a smile and sees Luffy with a lot of pride. "Correct! I'm the captain of the Usopp Pirates, and we dominate Syrup Village. Normally I don't reveal these secrets, but seeing that you have a lot of knowledge about pirates, consider this piece of information a gift".

"Hehehe, you don't know how happy I'm right now, I was trying to tell my secret to someone," Luffy says.

"Why do you say that? Wait, do you try to say...", Usopp says with a shocked expression.

"Yes, I'm a pirate too, and I have a dream: to become THE KING OF THE PIRATES!"

"EEEHHHH?!"

"What's the hurry?", Ruby asks with a confused tone while she follows Weiss. Since they became partners, Weiss has been trying to bear the immature behavior of the silver-eyed young girl and how she takes the initiation like a game. Along with this, their preview interactions didn't help their relationship as a team.

"I will not let my mission be delayed because you're too slow. I swear if I get a bad grade because you're...", Weiss was talking with a serious expression before, from nothing and as she was made by light, Ruby appeared surprisingly in front of her with a high-speed movement of her arms and having an expression like a cute cat. "What the -?!", Weiss exclaims, surprised by Ruby's skill.

"I'm not slow, see? You don't have to worry about me!", Ruby says with a smile, pointing herself.

"When did-?", Weiss asks with a shocked expression.

"Weiss, just because I don't exactly know how to deal with people doesn't mean I don't know how to deal with monsters," The hooded girl then approaches the heiress, placing one arm around her shoulders. Weiss has her arms crossed because she still doesn't support Ruby as her new partner, "You're about to see a whole different side of me today, Weiss. And after it's all over, you're gonna be like, 'Wow, that Ruby girl is really, really cool…and I wanna be your friend," When Ruby ends her wonderful presentation, she runs off from Weiss using her Semblance leaving many rose petals in her path.

The heiress cleans Ruby's petals from her dress while she maintains an angry gaze. "You may be fast, but you still excel at wasting time," Weiss says, frustrated by the energetic girl. Suddenly, a bunch begins to move near, surprising the heiress. Weiss begins to be concerned about what is happening—is Ruby making her a kind of joke, or maybe it's something else? Whatever it is, it didn't sound like something kind. "Ruby?", Weiss asks with a worried tone. At that moment, she finally notices what is happening, especially because she sees a lot of red eyes watching her from the bunches. Weiss stays alert for any movement that enemies are going to make, when…

*GRRRRRRR*

Many Beowolves, a species of Grimm with the appearance of a humanoid wolf, are approaching Weiss, who is surprised and prepares her Mysternaster while she tries to call for support for her disappeared partner, "Ruby!".

Sanji is walking around the forest looking for the place where the relics are hidden, and trying to be on the same team with a girl. While he is doing this, the cook is also proving the different ingredients that he will use later in The Baratie. Suddenly, he stops doing his gastronomy activity. Something happened near him, "Wait a moment, I sense a perturbation in the air… a lady is in trouble!". Quickly, Sanji begins to run around the forest to find the girl in trouble. "Don't worry, lady, your gentleman is coming for your rescue!"

After telling his secret, Luffy was walking through the forest with his friend Usopp, who was also the son of Yasoop, alias Chaser, who is part of the crew of his old friend, Shanks. During their conversation, Straw Hat tells him what happened in Shells Town and how he, Zoro, and Nami, whom he still considered part of his crew, confronted Captain Morgan. After hearing that story and how it helped the citizens, Usopp has stars in his eyes because of the incredible adventure that Luffy told him. "I can't believe that I found a real pirate in Beacon Academy, and the best part is you are on my team," Usopp says with joy.

It's a giant Ursai that is ready to attack Luffy and Usopp. The long-nosed man is totally freaking out, while otherwise the rubber man is preparing his knuckles.

"Looks like, the fun comes to us!", Luffy says with a big smile while he watches the Ursai roaring at him and Usopp.

"ROOAAARRGGGHH!"

"Hello! Is anyone out here?", Yang says while she walks so calmly in the Emerald Forest. At that moment, she is trying to find a partner who can be on her team. All the time she is losing, she looks so bored to find someone in the bunches and trees. Why does it take a lot of time to find someone? Why didn't even her little sister appear? Is her hair is going to be ruined by branches that are being trapped accidentally? "Helloo! I'm getting bored here!"

At that moment, a neat bunch begins to move, calling Yang's attention, "Is someone there?". Quietly, she approaches the bunch to discover if inside it is hiding a possible partner, or maybe try to find her little sister, "Ruby, is that you?"

"Hahaha, jeez, you two couldn't hit the broadside of …", at that moment, Yang stops to talk because she notices something golden falling in front of her. Quickly, Yang realizes what that thing was while she continues to focus on it. It is a piece of her golden hair that was cut by Grimm's scratch. The golden-haired girl stays quiet while she watches her hair fall to the ground.

At that moment, her eyes turn red, and her hair begins to show a strong light along some flames. "You, you MONSTER!", Yang shouts before having her hair in flames and running to one of the Ursai with a furious gaze. Then, she sends a lot of punches to the Grimm, who couldn't have had a second to see Yang's attack. Yang launches far away before proposing with her Ember Celica and continues punching it until making it disappear. Then, the remaining Ursai approaches Yang, showing its pointy fangs, while the flame-haired girl looks at it with her furious red eyes. "What?! Do you want some of that too?!", Yang shouts to the monster, prepared to finish it.

However, the Grimm only stays to look at her before falling to the ground and beginning to disappear. At that moment, it saw a sword on a rope on the Grimm's back, along with its owner. It was Blake who slashed the Grimm from behind using her Gambol Shroud. The girl in a bow washes Yang for a few seconds before smiling at her. Officially, both are partners at Beacon Academy.

Then they get so furious with each other that they begin to exchange slashes and kicks. Whatever is happening, it looks like these two are going to fight for a long, long time.

Meanwhile, the fight between Zoro and Sanji is realizing, Weiss is fighting against Beowolves with her Mysternaster which used to block a scratch. Then she turns her gaze to the monsters and begins to focus on them, using all the knowledge she gained before entering to Beacon Academy, "Remember your training, Weiss. Seeing this, Weiss takes Ruby's hand and drags her far away from the monsters, saying, "We have to go!". While this happens, Ruby's expression shows so much disappointment about her partner because she knows that she can handle that situation.

The rivalry between Zoro and Sanji is becoming more violent, and both seem to have no plans to stop their argument. "Are you going to give up, moss head?", Sanji asks with an angry tone.

"Gum Gum Gatling!", Luffy launches many stretching punches at the giant Ursai, but it seems that this one has more resistance than the rest of its species. "Hehe seems like this has more resistance than Ursai that I confront on my natal island", Luffy says with a smile. While this happens, Usopp is hiding scared behind a tree, "Y-You're doing great, Luffy, just keep punching him while I'm hiding safe here".

With that last attack, the Ursai were defeated to then disappeared in the air. However, the problems do not end because Usopp comes running from the tree where he was hiding and says, "Luffy! At that moment, Luffy begins to run along Usopp trying to lose the Grimm, but their attempt is not so useful because the monster has enough speed and energy to follow them. "Usopp, this is not working, let's fight and destroy them!", Luffy says.

"Gunfire, it seems some of our comrades have encountered the enemy", Pyrrha replies with a serious tone. After noticing this, both continued their paths. With this, all the surrounding space is covered by darkness, making it more difficult to walk. "Ow!", Jaune complains while he stands up carefully.

"Do you feel that?", Pyrrha says, noting something strange in the cave.

"Soul-crushing regret?" Jaune replies with a question.

"No, it feels…warm," Pyrrha answers while, without noting its presence, a monster with a pointy sting is watching them so quietly.

Meanwhile, Yang was analyzing what chess piece she and Blake would select when she noted a horse piece, which represents the knight. "Hmmm… how about the cute little pony?!", Yang says with a lot of energy to Blake.

"Sure," Blake replies with a smile. Then, both girls' approached each other with their selected relic.

"That wasn't so hard", Yang comments.

"Well, it's not like this place is very difficult to fin-", Blake was answering Yang when...

"EXTRA HACHIS!", From nowhere, the girls heard a war cry from the forest. Then, a Beowolf is sent flying over the temple while Sanji is throwing a lot of kicks at his body. Then, the cook prepared his left leg and strongly kicked the monster's head. "CONCASSER!", with that attack, the Grimm is launched to the ground, making a hole with its body before disappearing in the air.

"Well, well, it seems that your prediction was totally accurate, Blake"; Yang says as she lightly nudges her partner with her elbow as a way of congratulating her.

Sanji notes Yang's voice and quickly turns his gaze, which has hearts. "But it's the beautiful Yang-chwan!", Sanji says while he approaches the girls, moving his feet like a tornado. "Is it just me, or did the sun get a bit brighter when I saw you, my dear?"

"You know how to treat a lady, handsome. Or maybe it's that you notice I'm hot?" Yang says this with a flirtatious gaze, making Sanji blow smoke from his body.

"Yang, do you know who this weirdo is?" Blake says he feels uncomfortable about the eccentric personality of the cook.

"Don't worry, this is a friend that we made previously," Yang comments, while Sanji turns her gaze to Blake. Suddenly, he approaches Blake and holds her hand, making her blush because of the uncomfortable moment.

"Sorry for my modals; my name is Sanji. It is a pleasure to meet a lady with that beautyful hair; it reminds me of the beauty of the night," Sanji says.

"Thanks? I'm Blake, nice… to meet you," Blake says with a confused tone.

"The pleasure is shared, beauty. Don't worry, now that I'm here, I'm not gonna let you become hurt in the battle," Sanji says with a flirtatious tone of .

"It's okay, Blake, I assure you that you will get used to him in a few minutes. Besides, don't you agree, he is so adorable?", Yang says in a low voice, while Blake watches her with a gaze that tries to say "Seriously?".

"Two swords style: HAWK WAVE!", while Sanji was more focused on flirting with Yang and Blake, a strong gust appeared, and many Beowolves were sent to fly with some slash marks. When the damaged monsters' land on the temple, one by one they disappear, leaving a dark dust. Then, from the same direction where the monsters were launched, Zoro appears with his two swords in his hands, taking the attention of Yang and Blake, who were surprised by his sword's techniques. Otherwise, Sanji is feeling disgusted about the recent presence of the swordsman. After eliminating the monsters, Zoro saves his swords in their sheaths and sighs. "It seems like you're acting like a total maniac again, why can't you spend five seconds behaving like a normal person in front of a girl?", Zoro says with a serious tone.

"That's none of your business; besides, I'm just acting chivalrous," Sanji says angrily.

"Whatever, man. At least I can say that with all those Grimm eliminated, I have the advantage in our competition," Zoro says.

"Shut up, Moss Head! I eliminated more monsters than you!", Sanji clears.

"Yes, of course, Twirly Eyebrows," Zoro says, making Sanji turn on fire.

"Hi, handsome! As Luffy says, your sword skills seem to be so powerful. So, are you doing a competition? That seems fun," Yang says with a smile.

"For you, maybe, but this is more of a competition where we put in proof of our honor; it is not a simple game," Zoro replies with a serious tone.

"Come on, man, I want to participate too on that, do you want, Blake?", Yang asks her partner.

"You know, maybe we should get away from this, this shows more of a rivalry confronting these two," Blake says.

"You have reason, Blake-chwan, what if I cook something special for you with the berries I recolected after I defeat that Moss Head?", Sanji says while he approaches to Blake.

Zoro facepalm himself, "Great! Even if we succeed in the plan, I can't feel this is totally a win having this pervert on our team", Zoro says in his mind:At that moment, he looks at the pedestals and approaches them. The swordsman then turns around to see if Sanji is still trying to fawn over Yang and Blake. Seeing that he continues with his thing, Zoro takes advantage of this situation and decides to choose a chess piece. However, he thinks he should consider Luffy's childish thinking in case he doesn't realize which piece to choose. So, to make things easier, he decides to choose the king piece because Straw Hat, if he knows chess pieces very well, could choose it because it would make him relate it to his dream of being the King of the Pirates. "Now, it all depends on Luffy. I hope, captain, you met at least a competent partner for the team."

Returning with Jaune and Pyrrha, they still have problems knowing which way is correct because of the darkness of the cave. "Well, it's official, I completely doomed this situation," Jaune says, being negative about the situation.

However, he didn't expect that the mysterious thing was going to elevate itself.

"Jaune?", Pyrrha asks, concerned because she realizes what was really the "object" that his friend tried to catch. Then, in front of the young knight, many red eyes appeared, revealing that the "object" was really the sting of a Grimm with the same look as a scorpion. Outside the cave, Pyrrha runs away when the Grimm scorpion, also known as the Death Stalker, comes from the entrance, destroying it to chase the Mistral champion. Jaune is still holding in the sting of the monster while he screams with a panicked tone. "AHHHHHH! HOHOHOHO! WHY?! AHAHAO! PYRRHA! YAHAHAHAHAO! PYRRHA, THIS IS NOT THE RELIC, IS NOT!" Jaune panics because of his criticism situation and is trying to sustain himself in the Grimm, so he won't be launched. On the other side, Pyrrha draws her Mylo to try to attack the giant scorpion, but its shell seems too hard to destroy it easily. "DO SOMETHING!", Jaune shouts with a scared tone.

"Jaune! Whatever you do, don't let …!" Pyrrha was trying to warn Jaune, but when she was ending, Jaune got launched so far away into the sky by the Death Stalker's tail. "…go", Pyrrha ends his phrase before realizing that the monster focuses its gaze on her. Without doing anything alone, Pyrrha rubs her head and smiles nervously at the monster before running away.

"Guys, did you hear that? What should we do?", Yand asks the rest, totally nervous because there are many problems around them.

"That's all. I'm not going to stand idly by, Moss Head, we're going to rescue the girl," says Sanji who was preparing to run in the direction where he heard the scream.

"Who told you that you're my boss?!", Zoro responds, directing an angry expression at the cook.

"Shut up, and just do what I..."

"Ahhhhh!", At that moment, another scream appeared in the sky and was getting closer. Everyone who was in the temple turned their gaze upward to discover a girl with a red hood falling resoundingly.

"Ruby!", Yang exclaims so worriedly while Blake, Zoro and Sanji are shocked. How did she end up like that?

5 Minutes earlier

"GUYS! I SAW IT! The temple is near, and look! There are also Yang, Blake, Zoro and Sanji!", Luffy says with an energetic tone while he is the Nevermore.

"Great job, that sounds so wonderful, it could be more comfortable to hear...IF WE HAD ANY IDEA TO HOW DOWN OF THIS BIRD!", Weiss shouted sarcastically while she, Ruby, and Ussop held on to the bird's plumage. "See, Ruby? I told you that this was a terrible idea!", Weiss says.

"In a good way?!", Ruby asks, thinking that Weiss was ok with the situation.

"In a bad way, in a very bad way!", Weiss replies sarcastically.

"I don't know how I'm still agreeing with you, Ice Queen, but I truly want to get out of here!", Ussop exclaims, while Weiss softly turns her gaze to the Faunus with an angry expression.

"Well, why don't we just jump," Ruby advises.

"Great idea, Rossy, let's do that," Luffy agrees with a happy tone.

"WHAT ARE YOU, INSANE?!", Weiss and Ussop exclaim at the same time with shocked expressions.

"They're gone, no?", Ussop says while two circuits of line with the silhouettes of Ruby and Luffy appear glowing for some seconds.

"Oh, you insufferable Little Red and Straw Hat!", Weiss complains with an angry tone.

Returning to present….

"AAAAAHH!", Ruby is falling so fast, and everyone, especially Yang, is concerned about her.

"Don't worry, Yang, I'm gonna catch her!", Sanji says before running with his raised hands to catch Ruby.

"HEADS ON!", Ruby screams when she is going to fall to the ground. Sanji was going to rescue her when an "unidentified flying object" came so fast where Ruby was falling and ended up hitting the hooded girl before arriving in a nearby tree.

The mysterious object was really Jaune who is too dizzy because of his recent accident. On the other hand, Ruby is dizzy too, and it seems that some imaginary stars and Beowolves are walking around her head. "W-What was that?", Ruby says with a confused tone.

"Uh-hum!", The young girl waves her head to recover her consciousness when, at that moment, she realizes Jaune, who is holding the top of the tree. "H-Hey, Ruby," Jaune says.

"What are you doing, Clumsy Knight?" Why did you hit Ruby?!", Sanji says with an angry tone.

"I-It was an accident! I didn't know that Ruby was falling too!", Jaune says nervously, trying to explain himself.

"Did your sister just fall from the sky?", Blake asks, trying to realize what just happened.

"I-", Yang was going to answer when she heard another voice falling from the sky.

"INCOMING!", Luffy is falling to the ground, surprising Zoro at that moment.

"Luffy?!", Zoro exclaims before running and trying to catch his captain. However, Straw Hat ends up arriving at the swordsman, making a little collusion, and dispersing a lot of earth around the place. Yang, Blake, and Sanji cough so hard before the earth dust is dispersed through the air. In that time, it sees Luffy cleaning the earth from his clothes without anything that he is on his first official, "That was so close, thanks Zoro to rescue me...Zoro, what are you doing? "This is not the time to rest."

"That's what I should ask! What were you three doing in the sky?!" Zoro shouts with an angry gaze before pushing his captain away.

"Three? But we're four", Luffy comments, a little confused when he notices Jaune in the three. "Oh, hi Jaune, you too try to travel on a bird?", Luffy asks.

Then, the girl approaches the monster, seeing how it disappears while his partner, Ren, is taking breath because of the risky adventure of her friend. "Nora, please don't do that ever again," Ren says, totally tired, before realizing that her partner disappears, leaving a silhouette of lines with her form.

Magically, Nora is repaired near the rest of the students in the temple and is looking for a pedestal with a chess piece that represents the queen. "Oohhhh!", Nora says, interested in the piece. Then, the energetic pink girl picks up the piece and begins to play and balance it while she sings a sticky song, "I'm queen of the castle ~ I'm queen of the castle".

"NORA!", Ren yells at her best friend.

"Hehehe, coming Ren!", Nora answers with a military greeting before approaching Ren happily.

"Wow, that girl seems to be unstoppable and a little weird, it could be difficult to have as a partner," Luffy says.

"Oh yeah, nothing different about someone who I'm watching now", Zoro says while he sees Luffy with a serious gaze.

"Huh? Why are you looking at me?", Luffy asks, confused.

Then, it approaches the champion and tries to catch her, but she dodges it, jumping just in time through its open tweezer. After that, she does a somersault on the ground before quickly standing up and continuing to run. At that moment, she visualizes the temple and Jaune who is hanging upside down on the tree. "Jaune!", Pyrrha yells at her partner.

"Pyrrha!", Jaune yells too, with a worried tone, because her partner is in danger. On the other side, Ruby was surprised by the apparition of the monster, so she decided to go down from the tree to try to stop it. "Ruby!", Jaune says, worried because he doesn't know what Ruby is planning… and because she left him on the tree. When she did that, she finally reunited with her older sister.

"Ruby!", Yang calls her sister with a happy tone.

"Yang!", Ruby says while she was going to high five with her sister, but.

"Nora!", the energetic girl says while she appears unexpectedly among the other girls, making them surprised.

Zoro watches this scene and turns around to his captain before asking, "Luffy, seriously, is there any chance that girl is a distant relative of yours?" Zoro asks.

"It's impossible; I don't know much about my family, but the truth is that I like her mood. She's very funny! Luffy says this while laughing.

"For everyone's sake, I hope these two don't become too good friends, I don't want to imagine what kind of crazy things this pair would do," the swordsman says it in his mind with a worried expression. "Whatever, the problems don't look like they are going to end, at least if I destroy that, I could prove to you, Twirly Eyebrows, that I'm better than you", Zoro says to Sanji with a confident smile.

Doing this, Zoro and Sanji stop fighting, with this last one approaching the group with a smile and saying, "Of course, beauty, sunlight, I come". This action makes Zoro feel uncomfortable before coming to the center of the temple, where everyone is reuniting. Along with them, Ren is approaching exhaling with difficulties because of all the long paths that he needs to walk and because of the last battle with the Ursai. While he arrived, Nora smiled at him while Zoro watched them. On the other side, and for bad luck for Yang, the weirdest events are not stopped from occurring.

"WAAAAHH! If anyone heard us, give us some help?!", a scream comes from the sky, making everyone turn their gazes on to finally discover the Nevermore, which is dragging Weiss and Ussop in the sky. At that moment, it looked like they were exhausted, and they ended up holding the claws of the giant bird.

"How could you leave us?!", Weiss complains.

"The same thing, how could you forget about us?!", Ussop exclaims before continuing screaming.

"I said jump," Ruby says, while she and the others watch Nevermore.

"Ok, now we need explanations from both of you, what were you doing?", Zoro asked Luffy and Ruby with a serious gaze.

"Hehehe, well, how would I explain this? The thing is, I find Ussop in the forest, and we become teammates. Then, we met Ruby and Weiss, and then a thing," Luffy says nervously, gaining a suspecting gaze from Zoro.

"What are you referring to by "a thing"?", Zoro asks.

"Well, leave that for later, the situation is that when we find Luffy and Ussop, Nevermore appears, and well… maybe to accelerate the things, we decided to mount that bird to find the temple," Ruby explains, rubbing her neck while her face sweats so hard.

"WE DIDN'T AGREE WITH THIS PLAN!", Weiss and Ussop yells, making more uncomfortable the situation.

"What?!", Sanji exclaims when he approaches Luffy with an angry face. "Luffy! How dare you leave beautiful Weiss in heaven?" Sanji says as he grabs Luffy by his jacket and savages him.

"Don't bring Ruby into this, it's clear you had something to do with it," Sanji says with an angry tone.

"They're gonna fall", Blake says in a serious tone, making Sanji stop punishing Luffy, who ends up totally dizzy.

"They'll be fine", Ruby says with a relaxed tone.

"I can't do this one more time, my fingers don't have more energy", Weiss says in a tired tone.

"Come on! Just resist one more time to get help, don't stop hold-",

"Ahhhh!"

"-ing", Ussop was trying to warn Weiss, but it was too late because she finally couldn't resist anymore and left the claws of the bird.

"She is falling", Ren says in a serious tone. Seeing this from a tree, Jaune checks and draws a smile on his face because he finds an opportunity to become the hero for his crush. So, he decided to jump from the tree and catch her in the middle of the air. During this moment, the time seems to become slow, and Jaune smiles to Weiss with a flirtatious gaze, "Just dropping in", the armored man said to the Schnee heiress. "WAAAH! NOT AGAIN!", Ussop says while he falls so fast to the ground. At that moment, Luffy puts his finger in his mouth and begins to blow it to inflate itself. "Gum Gum BALLOON!", Then, the rubber man goes bouncing where Ussop was going to fall, achieving a rescue . On the other side, the rest of people who don't know about Luffy's power look so shocked about what just happened.

"Did Luffy just…"

"Yes, Blake, he inflated himself like a balloon, everyone saw that", Yang says with a nervous tone because of how many surprises he has watched until that moment.

"Thanks for that, Luffy, I thought it was my end," Ussop says, recovering his breath.

"It was nothing, for that, we're friends, *POOOFFF!*" Luffy says before throwing all the air from his body and recovering his normal form.

"Luffy, what are you ?", Jaune asks with a nervous tone.

"Devil Fruit? I thought they were only part of a fairy tale that I heard when I was a kid," Yang says.

"No, they are real," Sanji explains. "In Remnant, those fruits are considered appreciated because of the unusual powers that they give. There is even a book that classifies the types of fruits and the powers that each fruit contains. However, see, one of these magic fruits is difficult because of his weirdness."

"I heard too much about those fruits. Their story sounds so... unreal", Blake comments, really intrigued by the power of Luffy.

In another place, the Death Stalker manages to catch Pyrrha and, using its tail, throw her to the ground. The champion ends up landing along with the rest of the people who are in the temple. "Pyrrha!", Jaune exclaims, worried about his partner.

"Great, the gang's all here, now we could die together," Yang says.

"Not if I can help it," Ruby says with a confident expression before running through the enemy.

"Ruby!", Yang yells with a worried tone because

"Wait Ruby! That's a Death Stalker, those creatures are known for having a hard shell, so without any strategy, you won't stand a chance against it! You heard me!", Zoro warns Ruby, but she doesn't stop and is already unsheathing her scythe. At that moment, the silver-eyes girl propels herself, shooting a bullet from her scythe, and tries to slash the giant scorpion. However, as Zoro said, the monster has a hard shelf, so it resists Ruby's hit to then launches her far away of it.

"Rossy!", Luffy yells, worried.

"Ruby! Stay away from that thing!", Sanji shouts to warn the silver-eyed girl,

"D-Don't worry, totally fine," Ruby says with pain, showing her red aura glowing. At that moment, she tries to shoot some dust bullets to the beast, but it doesn't work too. Furiously, the Death Stalker decides to attack and chase Ruby. Being surrounded, the hooded girl saves her weapon and runs away.

"Ruby!", Yang yells before going to rescue her sister.

"I'm going too," Luffy says before running along Yang.

"Any lady who is in trouble needs my help," Sanji says before joining the other two warriors.

"Yang, Sanji, Luffy, don't go there; it's too risky!", Ussop exclaims, worried, but nobody is hearing him.

Meanwhile, Jaune is helping Pyrrha stand up after being defeated by the monster. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, I will be okay. Now my aura is recovering my forces," Pyrrha says. At that moment, she turns her gaze with a worried expression to the students who are confronting the Death Stalker. "That thought seems to be unstoppable."

"I see, but I don't think it's indestructible. It may have a weak point", Jaune reflects.

"… before that thing appears!", Jaune says, showing his fear because, from the sky, the Nevermore returns, and it looks so upset with Ruby. The hooded girl tries to escape, but at that moment, the giant bird moves its wings and throws its black wings at the girl. Ruby dodges most of them, but in an unfortunate moment, her cloak ends up stuck by one of the wings. The monster still throws its projectiles, with its next objective being the three people who were going to rescue Ruby. Yand and Sanji brake to avoid being impaled by the feathers, while Luffy decides to make a risky move and uses the feathers as a platform to stretch his arm and punch the huge bird, "Gum Gum PISTOL!". Nevertheless, Nevermore seems to still be capable of fighting. Luffy landed on the ground with a frustrated expression, saying, "Damn it, this one has a hard body too".

On the other side, Yang and Sanji are getting up when they note that Ruby has problems escaping. "Ruby, get out of there!", Yang yells.

"I'm trying!", Ruby answers. At that moment, the Death Stalker begins to approach the defense girl.

Seeing this, Luffy decides to quicken his pace to prevent the silver-eyed girl from being stabbed by the stinger of the huge scorpion. "Rossy, take off your cape and escape!", Luffy exclaims.

"What?! No! I'm never going to do that," Ruby exclaims, changing her expression to an angry one.

"Ruby, that Grimm is going to kill you, do what Luffy said!", Sanji warns Ruby while he and Yang run to rescue her.

However, Yang seems less convinced that leaving her cloak is going to be easy for her sister. "No, Sanji, she can't do that," Yang says with a serious tone.

"But your little sister is going to die, she needs to take off her cape to liberate herself or she will be killed!", Sanji says with a worried tone.

"It's not so simple!", Yang yells. At that moment, the Nevermore approaches them and launches its wings as arrows again.

"Crap, stop doing that! I don't have time to treat a stupid bird," Yang says furiously, while she begins to shoot many fire dust bullets from Ember Celica. However, it doesn't have a lot of effect because the monster is dodging all of them. "Are you fucking kidding me?!", Yang yells.

"Wait, Yang, run to save your sister," Sanji says.

"But Sanji, I can let you lead alone with this thought," Yang says, worried.

"Don't worry, Yang-chwan, I'm gonna fry this jerk", Sanji says before elevating his left leg while the other begins to spin on the ground. After a few seconds, it is shown that Sanji's leg is on fire.

"What is that idiot doing? His leg is beginning to burn", Zoro comments with a serious tone.

"I don't know, but that seems really cool!", Nora says with energy.

"Nora, he is burning himself", Ren comments.

"But it's still looking cool", Nora says.

When Sanji finished spinning, he revealed that his right leg was completely red and breathing fire, making Yang a little worried. "Sanji, are you crazy? Your leg is burning!", Yang says worriedly.

"It's nothing, I've learned to control my body temperature to be able to perform this move. Also, my Semblance allows me to withstand the highest temperatures, including fire, so don't worry about my pretty one. I'm completely unharmed," Sanji says. While focusing on the Nevermore that is circling the skies. "Now go save Ruby, I'm going to retreat it, ok?", Sanji says before sending a smile and thumbs up to the golden-haired girl.

"Got it, "Hot boy"!", Yang replies with a smile and goes running to save her sister. Then, Sanji returns to see the bird, which is approaching him with its claws.

"You know, monster, don't think you're the first bird I've fried in my life. Sure, you lack a little seasoning, but I can assure you that if your body wouldn't be able to fade away when you die, I would make a good stew with your meat. "At least be prepared for what I'm about to do, because surely you won't be immune to this!". The bird gives a loud cry before lunging towards the cook to devour him. When he is close, Sanji makes a great leap and, with his fiery kick, hits the bird's breast, lighting it with a strong fire. "Diable Jambe: FLAMBAGE SHOT!" The Grimm screams in pain as he flies away from the temple in terror.

"Hey, get back here! I don't end with you", Sanji yells, while Nevermore goes away. "Damn it, that stupid bird... Whatever, at least I eliminated that obstacle," Sanji says before joining Yang to rescue Ruby.

"Rossy! Come on! Just leave your cape, or that monster is gonna eat you!", Luffy exclaims.

"No, Luffy! I can't just abandon my cape!

"Why not?! Your life is in danger!", Luffy yells.

"Never! I'm not going to do that because this cape is special to me! Because... my cape, IT'S MY TREASURE!", Ruby says, making Luffy stop trying to convince her to leave her red cloak because he realizes what happened to her. At that moment, some tears seemed to appear in Ruby's eyes because her cloak reminded her of something important… someone special. However, she didn't have time to remind herself because the Death Stalker was near her and preparing its sting.

"Ruby!", Yang yells, so worried about her little sis.

"Damn it!", Luffy is trying to run as much as possible to arrive at the attack, but even if he is finally getting there, it is too late. With a fast movement, the monster moves his sting and attack toward Ruby, who closes her eyes and covers her head with her hands.

"You're so childish,"

Ruby stays immobile for some minutes before opening her eyes and exposing her head, realizing that she is totally okay without any injury to her body. In front of her, the sting of the monster is totally frozen, along with a girl with a white ponytail. "Weiss?", Ruby, asks when she notes the identity of the girl.

"And dim-witted. And hyperactive. And don't get me started on your fighting style. And I suppose I can be a bit…difficult. But if we're going to do this, We're going to have to do it together. So if you quit trying to show off, I'll be…nicer," Weiss says, surprising Ruby because of her unexpected answer. After all the things that happened, the heiress is showing kindness to the hooded girl and seems to want to work with her as a partner.

"I'm not trying to show off, I want you to know I can do this", Ruby says so determinedly to Weiss.

"You're fine," Weiss says, admitting Ruby's great skills and giving her a smile before walking away from the monster.

Ruby seems happy because she finally makes progress in her friendship relationship with Weiss. "Haa, normal knees", Ruby mutters to herself with a soft smile. Then, she turns her gaze to the Death Stalker, seeing that it's the left tweezer is totally frozen. "Wow!", Ruby says, totally surprised.

The monster is trying to break the ice, but it doesn't note that someone was preparing to attack it, "Gum Gum …". Ruby and Weiss turn their gazes to see Luffy approaching the monster with an angry gaze and stretching his arms to attack the scorpion. "Stay away!", Luffy yells before launching his arms at the giant scorpion. "…BAZOOKA!"

With that, the rubber man hits the Grimm so hard that he launches far away from the temple. "Gotcha, now that thing is not going to damage us for now," Luffy says.

"Next time, try to warn before doing that, you could damage someone else!", Weiss says, angry because of Luffy's hasty attack.

"Sorry, Ice Queen, I forgot about that last part," Luffy says, smiling.

"For the last time, I'm not an Ice Queen!", Weiss exclaims.

"By the way, you did a good job saving Rossy. You literally break my thoughts about you, you are really a good person," Luffy says.

"Shut up, Straw Hat! I just… I just don't want that monster to kill my partner, that's all. By the way, you surprise me too. I didn't think pirates would be interested in saving people," Weiss says.

"Why not? Rossy is my friend too, and I protect my friends", Luffy says with a smile, making Weiss see him with a curious gaze. What kind of pirate is he?

At that moment, the rubber man goes to Ruby to see if she has any injuries and asks, "Rossy, are you all right?".

"Yeah, my aura was damaged a little by the Death Stalker, but I'm good," Ruby says. At that moment, she turns her gaze down, remembering her argument. Then, Luffy realizes that Ruby's hood is still stuck on the ground. "Let me help you," Luffy says before grabbing Nevermore's wing and taking off Ruby's red hood.

"Thanks, Luffy", Ruby says with a smile while Luffy gives her some thumbs up.

At that moment, Straw Hat notices that Ruby is beginning to clean her red cape and check if it has been torn "So, your cape is your treasure, no?", Luffy asks Ruby, gaining her attention.

At first, Ruby feels shy about explaining something private to someone she recently met. The girl with the silver eyes trembling intertwined her fingers until, after a sigh, she finally decided to speak, "Y-Yes. My red cape is so special to me. My mom gifted it to me when I was a child. She told me that it could bring me protection, and I promised her that I was going to use it in my adventures as a huntress," Ruby explains with a nostalgic gaze.

"Well, that sounds so great to hear. In that case, you need to take a lot of care of it. Trust me, I know how it feels to take care of an important object," Luffy says before taking off his straw hat and looking at it with a smile.

"Hehehe, thanks, Luffy," Ruby says, drawing a smile from the young pirate. However, her curiosity grows when she sees Luffy's straw hat. "By the way, seeing you watch your straw hat with that gaze, let me think that you have a similar relationship to me and my cloak, who gave you your hat?", Ruby asks with curiosity.

"Well, this straw hat was given to me by Shan...",

"Ruby!", Yang says happily before hugging so hard her little sis, "So happy, you are ok!".

"T-Thanks, Yang, but please don't hug so hard. I can't breathe," Ruby says with difficulty, while Luffy laughs about this scene.

"Weiss-swan! My elegant snowflake! You were so incredible at freezing that monster! Your talent is so incomparable!", Sanji says while approaching the heiress with hearts in his eyes.

"Oh, come on! Stop acting so weird with me!", Weiss complains as she walks away from Sanji who has his head down because of his failed attempt to flatter the rich girl. However, the heiress turns her gaze to Sanji. Unexpectedly, he was showing a warm smile to the cook." But I have to admit, you were brilliant at burning down that Nevermore. I've never seen anyone perform a feat like that before. Maybe you're a weirdo, but you have some special skills in your attacks. I don't know why, but you've got my respect. I'm still looking great, just like that."

*BANG*

With those words, Sanji feels that a bullet trespasses his heart and makes him fall into heaven. "W-Weiss swan! So that means you are in love with me?!"

"I DIDN'T SAY THAT!", Weiss yells.

"Hey!", At that moment, the rest of the students come running to Ruby, Yang, Weiss, Luffy and Sanji. "Guys! Are you ok?", Jaune asks, worried.

"Don't worry, Weiss and Luffy launched that monster away from the forest. So, all is under control!", Ruby says with a happy tone to the others.

"That was so incredible! You really managed to confront that giant Grimm! It was like reading those cool warriors of comics", Ussop accomplices to his friends.

"Oh, come on, it was nothing," Luffy replies with a smile.

"I was surprised about your powers when I saw them, I never thought Semblances could do that," Pyrrha says, meeting Luffy for the first time.

"Actually, Pyrrha ate a Devil Fruit and became a rubber man," Jaune explains to her partner, making her surprised by this revelation.

"Yup, I ate the Gum Gum fruit. Nice to meet you... who are you?", Luffy asks, making Weiss facepalm herself because of his ignorance. However, for Pyrrha, this was so great to hear because that means he didn't see himself as the Mistral champion. With this, she begins to softly laugh about Luffy's answer. "Hahaha, well, my name is Pyrrha Nikos."

"Monkey D. Luffy, nice to meet you", Luffy introduces himself with a smile.

"I need to be honest; I think you will die," Blake says in a serious tone.

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!", Usopp exclaims, so terrified and turning his scales white about Blake's comment.

In another place, Nora seems so amazed by the battle between the Nevermore and the Death Stalker. "That was so COOL! At first, you were so determined to hit that monster, but unfortunately, the attack was not enough to defeat it. Then, you two were running to save her, but then the big, horrible bird appeared! You started to shoot it, PHEW*PHEW, * and then you decided to burn it and make delicious chicken breasts! Then, you were coming to save the girl whose hood was stuck by the Nevermore, and all seemed lost when the Ice Girl came to save the day and freeze that sting of that giant scorpion! Finally, you stretched your arm, and you said GUM GUM BAZOOKA. And then *POW* sent that monster to the infinite ! I can't resist more of this excitement". After ending the talk, Nora takes a breath while Ren touches her arm to try to calm her excitement.

"As she said, it was an awesome show," Ren says, resuming all Nora's words in only one phrase.

"Yeah… definitely," Yang says, a little nervous about Nora's personality.

On the other hand, Zoro seems to disagree that the battle was totally a victory, especially for the risks that Ruby, Luffy, Sanji, and Yang took. "Are you an idiot?! I told you it had an extremely hard shell! If it weren't for your partner, you would have ended up cut in two parts!", Zoro scolds the silver-eyed girl.

"Yes, I know, I shouldn't have been too confident in my abilities. Sorry," Ruby says, crestfallen.

"Whatever, I don't think this is the last time we should see that monster", Zoro says in a serious tone.

"What do you mean? I hit that monster with a powerful attack", Luffy says with a confused tone.

Zoro sighs before answering his captain, "You'll need more power than that if you wanna destroy that thing. Well, at least we should go pick our respective relics and get out of…"

*GROARR!*

Unfortunately, the friendship moment ends when the Nevermore returns, circling around the forest.

"Damn it, I thought it would never come back. That stupid bird didn't learn anything about managing with me!", Sanji says, frustrated, because the Nevermore is still wanting to fight.

"Guys, that thing is circling back! What are we gonna do?", Jaune asks with a worried tone, pointing at the giant bird.

"Well, for me, this is perfect, just let me find their weakest points and cut them", Zoro says with a determined tone.

"You think you will defeat them? I can do that faster than you!", Sanji says.

"Yes, just like that bird that is completely in good conditions even if you burned it", Zoro criticizes Sanji.

"Shut up, Moss Head! This attempt is going to be different. This time I will not stop until those monsters disappear", Sanji yells to Zoro with an angry gaze.

"Look, there's no sense in dilly-dallying. Our objective is right in front of us," Weiss says, while she turns her gaze to the relics on the pedestal.

"She's right. Our mission is to get an artifact and make it back to the cliffs," Ruby says, making Weiss smirk. "There's no point in fighting these things."

"Run and live. That's an idea I can get behind," Jaune says.

"No"

Everyone turns his gazes to Luffy, who has a serious tone and is with crossed arms. "Excuse me, what do you mean by no," Weiss asks.

"I'm not going to run away. I'm going to first kick those monsters' asses!", Luffy says with a serious tone.

"Luffy, you can't only risk your life for nothing. We have the relics in front of us. The mission is to get them and return to the cliff, that's all," Yang says while seeing the rubber man with a serious gaze.

"She is right, we don't need to risk our lives. The thing you want to do is completely insane," Blake says.

"I agree with him," everyone says, turning their shocked gazes to Zoro who is agreeing with Luffy's decision. "I have an honor code, and I don't go out of here without giving those monsters a cut. Besides, even if we don't want to find them sooner or later, they will return again. For that, we need to be sure to eliminate them so we don't have trouble returning the relics to the cliff.

"Zoro, you too?", Yang exclaims, turning her eyes to red to show her anger.

"I don't wanna do this, but I agree with the Moss Head", Surprisingly, Sanji comes near Luffy and Zoro with a determined gaze and says, "Also, I want to end my job with that bird. That thing damaged Ruby and Yang, and I'm not going to leave it live."

"Sanji, this is so unnecessary! Don't do madness for a stupid reason!", Weiss yells to the cook.

Usopp watches the scene of the determined warriors seeking to fight the monsters. His mind tells him to try to convince them not to go fight the terrible beasts, but deep down, he feels a little annoyed at not showing support to his teammate. He may be a fool and someone who takes too many risks, but he is showing great will by wanting to face adversity and fight on behalf of his friends who were hurt. Without thinking, the Faunus approaches Luffy, Zoro and Sanji with a determined look. "I don't know what's wrong with me, but I'm not going to let you fight alone, Captain Usopp will go with you!"

"Usopp, what are you doing?!", Jaune exclaims, totally worried.

"First, I don't want to let my teammate fight alone, and secondly, I don't want to get out of here without showing my capabilities", Usopp says with determination.

"Usopp…", Ruby says with a nervous tone because of the unexpectable decision of her friend.

"Ruby, honestly, I would rather follow your plan and escape from this forest as fast as possible, but I want to demonstrate to myself if I can manage this and if I am nearing becoming a brave warrior," Usopp says.

"But guys...", Ruby says with a worried tone.

"Don't worry, Rossy, this is our decision. If all of you wanna get out of here, we don't go to criticize you, but we are going to fight them", Luffy says.

"Guys, think this through; we can't just leave you to have a suicide fight. We must stay together", Pyrrha exclaims.

"Luffy, she is right, we're not going anywhere until you agree to come with us and leave this crazy plan," Blake says.

"Yup, we don't want to see anybody go to their deaths," Ren says.

"Please think it over," Nora warns.

"We decided it, we're not running away from this," Luffy says with a serious tone.

"This is enough!", Weiss yells to Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, and Sanji. "You group of dorks are being so reckless! You're putting your lives on the line, and for what?! To fight those monsters alone? It's simple madness".

"Weiss is right! You can't just go off and fight those Grimm alone! If we don't need to fight them, what if something happens to you? What if... you don't come back?", Ruby says with a worried tone.

At that moment, Luffy returns his hat to his head and approaches a serious gaze, "I know that it seems not necessary, but looking at that birdie approaching here I think it is inevitable to don't fight. We are going first to kick the monster's ass, and then we will reunite with you".

"This is unbelievable!", Weiss says so frustrated before continuing to talk, "Listen, Luffy, Zoro, you don't have to go and fight with them. Besides, you're already in enough trouble", Weiss says making Sanji a little confused about what is happening.

"Weiss-swan, what are you trying to talk about?", Sanji asks.

"It's nothing, Sanji, maybe she is referring about an old young criminal treat, that's only that", Usopp forces a smirk, sweating profusely in an attempt to divert attention from Luffy and Zoro's true identities.

"Shut up, Usopp! You know why these guys are acting like that, it's because they are…", Weiss was going to reveal Luffy and Zoro's secret when….

"We're pirates", Luffy boldly interrupts and surprise everyone about his revelation, especially Zoro.

"Luffy…", Zoro says surprise, through gritted teeth.

"Luffy what did you say?", Yang says shocked.

At that moment, Luffy turns his gaze to the group and grins broadly with an excitement shining in his eyes as he declares his ultimate goal, "I'm a pirate, and I'm here to be prepared for my most wanted goal… be THE KING OF THE PIRATES!".

With this declaration, everyone is stunned about Luffy's revelation. He is not only a simple pirate… it's a pirate who want to become a KING!

And finally, we're here with another chapter! And Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha, Ren, Usopp and Sanji know that Luffy and Zoro are pirates. However, how do they react? If they are going to reveal this to the world, what is Weiss going to think about Luffy's dream? If she was thinking that Luffy was a criminal who destroyed her family ship, with this revelation, maybe she will be more shocked than ever. On the other side, it is confirmed that the presence of Haki in this world is another characteristic of the aura, which is considered advanced for a professional huntsman. However, Pyrrha still doesn't have experience on that topic, so maybe in the future this technique will be more relevant. Also, during the interaction between Jaune and Pyrrha, I added some dialogue that showed more of their relationship as partners.

In the case of the story of Usopp it is revealed that, in this version, he decides to go to Beacon to become stronger. He's not totally interested in being a huntsman. Instead of that, he has a similar idea to Luffy: recruit crew members to, in the future, be the temporal protectors of Syrup Village and then become brave pirates who want to discover the secrets of the sea. He also wants to recruit his other crew members of Usopp Pirates, the children Piiman, Ninjin and Tamanegi. Besides, it shows more about his relationship with Kaya. It seems Usopp is too worried about her and plans to visit her in the future. Finally, Usopp is trying to take on risky situations to prove his bravery; is he going to achieve this? For now, it seems not because he is still being the same coward as his manga and anime versions, but don't lose hope for him. Also, Luffy knows that Usopp is the son of Yasopp, one of the members of the Red-Haired Pirates of Shanks. I think that this is the beginning of a big friendship between these guys.

Weiss finally recognizes Luffy as a pirate who "stole" one of the ships of the Schnee company. If you remember, in the introduction to Trailer Red, Luffy rescues Koby, defeats Alvida, liberates the passengers and lets Koby study at Atlas. Well, it is revealed that this new was strangely modified, and only a few people, like Ozpin and Glynda, have access to this information. But why has this happened? Who is responsible for this? Returning to Weiss, she has access because of her position as Schnee heiress, and was initially angry with Luffy about this. Is she and Luffy going to fix their differences? At least she saw that Luffy is quite different from other pirates, but that is still not enough to solve her conflict with him because she still isn't sure if Straw Hat can be trusted. Also, Luffy didn't end his story and explains about Nami: "What will she do if he knows who Nami is, and she stole the ship ? "

Zoro and Sanji became rivals and partners because of their accident. I think it is too hilarious in the anime when it shows them fighting for nothing, but at least they show their differences in critical situations in a battle. Maybe one day they will forget their differences. Nah, who am I lying to? They will always be the same. At least, I decided to use Sanji's talent to select natural ingredients. Maybe he will use the berries he picks in the future. On the other side, Zoro finally begins with his plan to make a team with Luffy to not be discovered as pirates, selecting the king piece when Sanji was distracted with Yang and Blake. However, after this chapter, maybe Zoro needs to try to calm down because of what Luffy did.

Besides, I decided to give a deep meaning to Ruby's red cape. In the original episode, Ruby is troubled by the problem of her cape, so I decided to make this moment an emblematic moment where she is worried about leaving her appreciated cape. It's something similar that Luffy could manage to know because he has a similar relationship with his straw hat. On the other side, I develop their relationship more and learn about the things they have and why it's difficult for them to only leave.

On the other side, Yang and Blake needed a lot of Blake's brain power to process all the events that happened in the temple, especially when she saw Luffy's Devil Fruit power for the first time. From this, it is a little obvious why Ruby and Yang know about Devil Fruits because, during their childhood, their mom usually tells many fairy tales. Sanji also knows about them because of the books that he read as a child. You know why he was interested in them, but that is another story for the future. I can only say the reason he likes to read those Devil Fruits almanacs is hilarious.

Finally, I really want to show more interactions between Nora and Luffy. As Zoro says, it could be a hazard if they become friends because of the quantity of mad actions they will do together. I am really excited to write about that, especially if they are in the dining hall. With all of these, I hope you enjoy this new chapter.
