Pulling up into Gemma's driveway, Jennifer noticed Nero's truck in the driveway, as well as a motorcycle, which meant some of the guys from the club were here. The day before, Jennifer had officially started working for Gemma as the new nanny; Gemma had introduced Jennifer to the guys while they were at TM. Jennifer sort of knew about their clubhouse being blown up, but she didn't know all the details since Gemma was being vague about it. Getting out of her car, Jennifer walked up the ramp leading to Gemma's kitchen door to knock on it.
Gemma called out, "It's open!" as she took a sip of her coffee.
Jennifer opened the door and let herself in; she found Gemma and Nero sitting at the kitchen table. "Good morning," she greeted them as she closed the door behind her and walked further into the kitchen.
"Good morning, sweetheart; the coffee is hot." Gemma offered.
Jennifer nodded her head." Thanks." She said as she walked towards the coffee machine and poured herself a cup of coffee before she went to join Gemma and Nero at the table. "Are the boys up yet?"
" They're in the room with Jax." Gemma answered as she took another drink of her coffee.
"Jax's here?" Jennifer asked, kind of surprised that he actually showed up, considering he didn't come home with Gemma early yesterday afternoon. But she didn't say anything else about it. "I bet Abel was happy to see him; he's been asking when his daddy was coming home."
Yeah," Gemma said quietly as she took another sip of her coffee.
Jennifer looked at Gemma and couldn't help but get the feeling something was kind of off with her. Like there was something weighing on her shoulders. "Hey, Gem," Jennifer said, her voice filled with concern. "Are you okay?"
Yeah, I am fine sweetheart," Gemma answered with a small smile.
So, have you got any plans for the boys? Nero asked.
Yeah, I was kind of hoping that I could take them to the park for a few hours. I mean, if that's alright with you, Gemma?" Jennifer asked as she took another sip of her coffee before setting the cup back down.
Gemma nodded her head."That will be fine, I'll be at TM mostly all day." Gemma answered as she got up and set her coffee cup into the sink after rinsing it out. She then looked over when she noticed Abel running into the kitchen and Jax following behind with Thomas in his arms.
Hey, Jennifer! Guess what? Daddy came home last night," Abel exclaimed excitedly as he sat down next to her when Gemma brought him a bowl of his favorite cereal.
Jennifer chuckled as she nods her head." I heard buddy." She said as she took another sip of her coffee.
" Jennifer this my son Jax. Jax this is Jennifer the new Nanny that I told you about." Gemma said as she introduced them as she took Thomas from Jax so she can sit him in high chair.
" Yeah, Abel has been talking about you non-stop this morning." Jax simply said as he took a sip of his coffee. Ever since Jax was awake this,morning, Abel kept telling Jax how he likes his new Nanny. With everything Abel has been through since Tara's death, Jax was glad to see that Abel had someone to talk to.
" Yeah, same here. He's been talking about you ever since I started working for your mom. He kept saying how much he missed his daddy." Jennifer said with a nod and a small smile.
Seeing the look on Jax's face, she could feel the awkward tension. "Jennifer wants to take the boys to the park, and I was thinking maybe one of the Tacoma guys can stay with them," Gemma said.
Jax shrugs his shoulders a little as he set his coffee mug in the sink." Yeah, that's fine." He said as he walked over to Thomas and placed a kissed on his head before he walked over to Abel who was still eating cereal." I'll see you later little monster." He said softly as he kissed Abel's head.
" Bye daddy." Abel said with a smile as he looked up at Jax.
" Bye babe." Gemma said as she watched Jax walking out of the kitchen door.
" Do I really need a bodyguard?" Jennifer asked as she wasn't too sure about having someone else watch her with the boys. The whole thing makes her feel uncomfortable.
" It's just for your safety and the boys." Gemma said as she grabbed her purse and leans down and kisses Nero goodbye." Bye baby." She said with a smile.
" Bye Mama." Nero said as he watched Gemma out of the kitchen door. He then looks over at Jennifer as he noticed a look on her face." Hey you doing alright?" He asked with concern.
Jennifer nods her head a little." Yeah, I guess I'm just not used having a bodyguard around." She said as she picked up her mug and took another drink of her coffee.
" I wouldn't worry about it. It's just a precaution."
Jennifer sighs softly as she nods her head as she got up and walked over Thomas as she took him out of the high chair as she looks over at Abel." Hey buddy, why don't we go and get ready to go to the park." She said as she helped Abel down and followed Abel out of the kitchen heading towards his room to get the boys ready to go out and have fun in the park.
Thyne Patterson got out of her car after she pulled into the lot when she noticed Wayne Unser walking out of the TM garage. " Mr.Unser, District Thyne Patterson." She said as she introduced herself.
" What can I do for you?" Unser asked as he was little confused on why the D.A. wanted to talk to him.
" Do you remember me?"
Unser nods his head." Yeah, we worked the uh, Cahill warehouse murder a bunch of years back. You were, uh... A.D.A. then." He said with a small chuckle.
Patterson nods her head with a chuckle." Good memory."
" Sometimes, um there ain't nobody here right now. If you're looking for the club."
" Actually, I'm here to see you."
Unser brought his brows together. " Oh yeah? and why's that?"
" I know that you and Tara were close.
Unser shrugs his shoulders a little." I already gave my statement to the Sheriffs."He said as he was trying to figure where she's going with this.
" What if I wanted more? I know you've had a long history with the Sons Of Anarchy, and whatever you did here to manage the embassy. It worked, for a long time."
Unser couldn't help but snort a little." Yeah, well that's ancient history."
"There's a new Sheriff coming to Charming. Althea Jarry. She's replacing Eli Roosevelt. She spent six years with the organized crime unit in Stockton. I think she's a good fit for Charming and Morada. But she's a little out of the loop on the local lore. She could benefit from your history lesson."
" What exactly... are you asking me?"
" I just want you to help her with the MC. After Tara and the war that's brewing in Oakland, we both know it's gonna get pretty bloody, and I could make you a consultant."Patterson offered.
Unser laughed as he shook his head." Uh, I appreciate the offer, yeah. But I'm afraid my badge and gun days got flushed away a long time ago."
" Pity doesn't suit you." Patterson said with a small chuckle. She then sighs deeply as she got serious again." What happened here was wrong. Tara deserved better. I'll brief Sheriff Jarry tomorrow and I'll mention that we talked."
Unser sighs as he nods his head." Yeah."
" Have yourself a good day. Mr.Unser." Patterson said as she nods her head and turned around to walk back to her car.
Unser sighs heavily as he watched Patterson drive away. He's not really sure how much of help he could be for the new Sheriff and he's not really sure if his history lesson with the Sons will help her. But one thing he can agree on is that Tara does deserve better. She deserves justice.
" What did that bitch want?" Gemma asked as soon as she noticed Patterson driving away.
Unser just shrugs his shoulders." Just to talk."
" About Tara?"
" There's a new Sheriff coming into town tomorrow, and she wants me help the Sheriff with the case." Unser answered as he shrugs his shoulders a little.
" What are you doing Wayne? "
" All I'm trying to do is find out the truth and find Tara's killer." Unser answered as he walked away from Gemma and walked back towards his trailer.
" Shit." Gemma said with a sigh, She then notice Wendy pulling up in the lot." Are you shitting me? What are you doing here? Your supposed to be in rehab." She said as she walked over to Wendy.
Wendy deeply sighs." I'm just looking for Chibs or Bobby. I just want to get Jax's info. I want to talk to him."
" He's out and that's not a good idea."
Wendy deeply sighs again." Gemma, I just want to help. I want him to know that."
Gemma shook her head." Not today."
" Where are the boys staying?" Wendy asked as she noticed a few motorcycles pulling into the lot.
" They are at my house and you don't have to worry about them I hired a nanny to help out."
" A Nanny?" Wendy asked as she raised her brow.
Gemma nods her head." Yeah, the boys love her. especially Abel."
Wendy nods her head a little." Well, I guess I can help out since I will be staying with you now that you sublet my place to Juice." When Wendy got home from rehab an hour ago she found her entire apartment was completely clean and her refrigerator and cabinets stocked with food, and suddenly she found Juice walking out of her bathroom wearing nothing but a towel around his waist.
" Shit, What did he tell you?"
" That he's hiding from the club and from some odd reason, you're helping him. Which, forgive me if this sounds harsh... feels way out of character. Especially for you."
" There's been enough death."
Wendy nods her head in agreement." Yeah, so would it be alright if I go and see the boys?"
" They're not home, their Nanny took them to the park for the day."
Wendy exhales a breath." Well, I guess I should go back to my apartment and start packing my stuff. I will see you later Gemma." Wendy said as she turned around and got back into her car and drove off heading back to her apartment to grab all her shit.
" God Damn it Juice."Gemma exhales deeply as she walked back to her office and grabbed her car keys. Looks like Gemma is going have to find a way to get Juice out of Charming and fast before Jax and the club finds out. Who knows what Wendy might end up telling Jax.
