A few days later among the Lee household, Terriermon slept peacefully enjoying his favourite kind of dream. He was on a simple path in the sky encourting all manner of food while his best friend stood by his side.
Not far from him in a room lit only but a small lamp and computer screen sat his human partner Jianliang "Jenrya" Lee. The young man had spent much of his night deeply focused on his school studies. The room was totally devoid of all noise besides his constant writing, page flipping, typing and the cute snores of his partner.
He had remained focused on his studies for long enough to lose track of time. As his pen started to write less, So he reached for another. In his haste he pulled too hard causing his whole cup of writing utensils to come crashing down spilling its contents off over below where he worked.
Once the mess had been cleared he intended to resume his studies and stopped only to notice the time displayed on his phone.
He had been at this for hours and felt that perhaps it was time to stop. Neatly he put all his things aside and then lifted himself out of his chair for some much needed stretches. Soon he started walking around just to give his legs what they needed while taking extra care to not wake his Digimon partner or anyone else.
On a whim he opened a window to take in the night air. As expected it was calmer and more pleasant to the lungs than that of day air. The night itself was beautiful to him. This particular one seemed ordinary and plain, but to a young man previously neck deep in school studies it was a nice change. For a moment he closed his eyes to take in more night air, only for a moment. It was easy on his lungs. Then it felt off, unusual. He opened his eyes to bounced a strange shift in the wind. He felt that something was off. He looked around but nothing looked out of the ordinary. Before he could dismiss this as his mind playing tricks on him he took notice to Terriermon turning in his sleep and calling him faintly. "Lee... who's that..."
Was a Digimon near? If so he'd have to wake his partner, or so he thought.
One of the shadows near the window twisted and took shape.
From the darkness came the familiar figure of a golden vixen.
"Oh, Renamon, it's just you. Phew."
"Hello, Lee-san. I would like to sit and chat for again for a little while if that's fine with you."
"Of course! A friend is just what I need to take my mind off of things. Make yourself at home. You need anything to eat or drink? I don't mind a bit."
"I'll be fine, but thank you Lee-sa..."
"Hey, no need to be so formal. We're friends after all. Just call me Jenrya. Or Jian works to."
"Hmm.." He didn't need any of the usual formalities, He mentioned before that dropping such formality with him was more than acceptable but she was still growing used it.
"Yeah it's all good. Not technically how it's pronounced but everyone in the country calls me that and I like it just fine."
The young man had such a pleasant aura to him. Perhaps not as familiar as Ruki but far less rough than her or Renamon's own and very soothing. His scent also aided in her comfort.
Her more sensitive nose allowed her to understand the more personal scents of others. To her Jenrya's scent had a weird aspect to it she'd never experienced before but quite liked. That served as one of the biggest parts of what expanded her friendship with the human. They had only so much in common and it was noticed almost every time they started doing these little late night chats. However Jenrya's personality always drew her in. It didn't matter how different the topics of their conversations were because she'd always enjoy hearing him talk. Not only that but he would always try and be as understating as possible to whatever she spoke of and she greatly admired that.
The two moved toward his door but ceased when the human stops to look at her.
"You sure you don't want anything? I was actually about to make some tea and maybe cut up an apple. I can fix some tea for you too if you want some."
"Actually that sounds wonderful. Thank you for the kind offer, Jenrya."
The room had very little light but even then he could see the vixen's face curve into a small smile, it eased him. Something about the fox digimon's smile really got to him.
Maybe it was the eyes? Or maybe...
THWACK
The young man reeled back in pain after his door hit him square in the face as he was about to open it.
The sight and sound of the impact made Renamon wince.
From behind the door came none other than Lopmon. The little bunny seemed worried about something. Then when she looked up to see Renamon her fears faded instantly.
"Oh, just Renamon. I sensed a Digimon and was..." Lopmon stopped her statement to see Lee emerge from behind the door holding his face. Seeing the human in pain made a fearful Lopmon rush to his aid as well.
"Oh my gosh! Jenrya are you okay!?"
Jenrya still holding his mouth. After a few seconds passed he managed to give her a thumbs up gesture. He then loosened the grip on his face to let a few whispered words come out. "Yeah I'm fine. Just wish you hadn't opened the door on my face and all haha, oww..."
Lopmon's face carried a great despair and she softly spoke words of guilt.
"I sensed another Digimon in your room and panicked. I should have know with the lack of fog it must be a friend..."
"Hey, Lopmon, it's totally fine. You just looked out for me and that's sweet, but I'm fine."
He moved down to Lopmon's level and gave her a pat. "I don't know how you managed to escape Shaochung but thank you for looking out for me, too."
Lopmon smiled. "Of course. I'm just glad it was only Renamon. I guess, um, maybe I will go back to bed now. Goodnight."
"Goodnight Lopmon."
With that Lopmon returned to her partner's room while as Jenrya lead Renamon to his living room. She sat in the Lee family couch in a living room lit by a single lamp while Jenrya boiled tea water and started cutting some apples.
"Tea water's almost ready. You don't want any sugar in do you Renamon?"
"No, just the tea will be fine. Thank you Kindly, Jenrya."
"No problem at all."
The moment he turned his head to speak to her would later be one of regret.
Turning his head away to speak to her as he had already begun to cut apples his attention caused him to cut into his finger.
Before his grunt of pain had even left his mouth Renamon went into a state of great alarm.
She felt something she rarely did, fear.
There it was, that terrible, horrible scent.
It made her sick. It had her feel weaker. Sepending much of her time in the human realm prominently with human women for several years now didn't improve this much, or hardly at all. Blood.
The human was bleeding and it made her mind race and her stomach twist.
"Ahh, damn, agh!"
"Jenrya struggled to both contain his volume and keep blood from falling on to the plate.
He barely succeeded with both.
He snatched off a paper towel to wrap up his finger. The moment he turned away from his work he is suddenly face to face with Renamon.
Shocked he speaks up with his usual friendly manner.
"Oh, didn't see you or hear you. Typical Renamon. Sorry if got you bored. I kinda cut myself like a fool but I'm fine and..."
"No, you are not."
A voice carrying both a sharp firmness yet also coming with a great friendly(almost fearful) remorse commanded Jenrya's attention. He faced a concerned Renamon who's mind was still strained by the scent of her human friend's blood.
In Renamon's eyes her human friend sees something he would never in his life expected to see. He sees her fear that even her often expressionless face and stoic personality cannot even hope to hide.
"Jenrya, you are bleeding."
Her voice gripped his heart tight and made him feel more guilty for his own mistake.
It was not a serious wound but she was already worried.
She had not even seen his hand and knew what was wrong. He began to wonder if she could smell his blood from miles away.
"Well Renamon in a min.."
"Now."
"Wha..."
The young man is given no moment to think about his next response. He felt her paw grip his wrist and gently pull it toward her. She removed the now partially red paper towel to observe the cut.
When it revealed she brings her other paw to her nose. Jenrya stared at her for a moment curious of her response but only had a moment to speak before she pulls him away.
"Ah, wait a minute! I need to check the pot and..."
"Tea can wait. Right now you are bleeding."
She was not too rough with him, but was quick to make him move. She looked at him with that same expression as before that gave his heart an a hard tug.
"Now where is your restroom?"
Renamon was not taking no for an answer. After some time his cut was properly tended to. Afterwards Jenrya return to the kitchen to resume his prior work. A few minutes after he entered the living room where Renamon waited for him and set a hefty tray with a tea pot, two mugs, and a plate of sliced apples on the table sitting in front of the couch. Pouring her tea first and then his own he he settled himself down sitting next to her.
He took in the first sip of his drink and immediately began to relax.
Renamon did that as well and so much more.
This tea's taste was new to her. Familiar yet unfamiliar and an incredible soothing flavour took over her sense of taste.
Her prior blood-induced stress just seemed to fade with every sip. She could not describe the flavour even with the hint of familiarity and decided she had to know.
"Jenrya."
"Yeah Renamon?"
"What sort of tea is this? Its incredible..."
Jenrya smiled. "Its a special blend my grandma makes. Combines she ingredients she imports from China with local Japanese stuff. She does that a lot, actually."
Renamon moved back into into the couch a bit feeling more relaxed, but also disappointed.
"So not something one can find in a store? Pity..."
"Huh? Oh wait, I got an idea!"
Jenrya quickly lifted himself up and ran to the kitchen. When he returned he held in his hands a box that caught Renamon's attention. Once back in his seat he handed it to her.
"Here ya go. Have as may as you want." There was that smile again, a genuinely kind smile that made the digimon incapable of not smiling herself. This was his first gift to her and she initially did not know how to respond. Slowly she took the box and briefly looked inside. There was enough of that tea to keep her satisfied for weeks if not months.
"Jenrya..."
She smiled back at him. That vulpine face put on a smile Jenrya never knew could make him feel as good as he felt. He felt his face grow a bit warm listening to her speak again.
"Thank you, very much."
He looked away for a moment before looking back and responding.
"You are welcome, Renamon. If you ever want any more feel free to ask. Gran sends us tea all the time. That one right there she just sent but we have like two other boxes left and only dad and I drink it. So it takes a while to finish up. I'm glad you like it though. I'll have to tell her a friend appreciates her work."
Observing her new gift once more seemed to put even greater distance between her, her prior blood-related stress and her reason for coming. Then came a reminder
"So, Renamon."
Renamon looked at Jenrya as he put down his hot cup and turned to give her his full attention.
"Is there something you need to ask me about? Or did you just want to stick around? I love the company of friends, but if you need anything just ask away."
"Oh, yes."
Renamon regained her thoughts but initially does not speak. A foreign scent comes to mind. It was similar to Jenrya's, but different.
While Jenrya fails to notice the refrigerator light coming from the kitchen moments ago, she noticed immediately. She knew who was coming even while her friend next to her did not.
The fast approach of the other man made her more doubtful about speaking.
"Is that so, Romeo?"
The strange man's voice entered the room before he did. His choice of words made Jenrya snap and spew out words in a tone of embarrassment.
"Wait, dad? No wait, hold on!"
In came Lee Jiang-yu, Jenrya's father who'd been out hunting for a late night snack and still had a piece of toast in his hand as he entered.
"And who's the lucky girl you think you're sneaking ar... huh?"
Jiang-yu looked to see the digimon next to his son and breathed easier.
"Oh. Its only you. Good to see you again. Renardmon was it?"
"Renamon, Lee-sama."
Jiang-yu blinked and looked back at her.
"Good evening Lee-Sama. Good to see you again."
Renamon lifted herself up for a moment to briefly bow and greet Jiang-yu before sitting back down at his son's side. The older man was left stunned. She was very formal even by the usual Japanese standards. To add to that she also went the extra mile showing him even greater respect with that "sama" suffix.
This hadn't been the first time he had seen her but back then he took little time to he to speak to her.
His son spoke of her before other times but seeing her again affirmed to him just how respectful and intelligent she was.
"I, oh. N-no. Lee or Lee-san or Mr Lee is fine by me, Renamon."
"Understood, Lee-san."
She spoke up immediately and it too caught the father off guard.
After a few second of regaining his composure Jiang-yu spoke up again.
"Soooo. What brings you here tonight at this hour?"
"Oh." Renamon blinked and remembered humans being up at this time as not a common thing.
"I tend to be up around this time. I was passing through and decided to stop by. My partner is currently asleep and Jenrya-san looked like he could use some company. He's been studying quite hard, after all."
Jenrya soon butted in."God, you are telling me! I could use a friend to chat with right about now haha!"
Renamon looked at Jenyra holding a faint smile on her face after hearing his laughter before turning back to his father.
"He was also kind enough to make me tea and fruit. Thank you again, Jenrya."
She felt at first she had to uphold the san suffix with the younger man's name when speaking to his father, but later dropped it without thinking. His name by itself was gradually becoming more comfortable on her tongue by the minute. If she was a different digimon she might have even considered adding a more casual suffix when speaking of him.
"Your son is very wise. I asked him for advice on a personal manner some time ago and his words proved to guide me to the best course of action. He once told me your work is responsible or at least partially responsible for the creation of my ancestors. With this fact in mind I am led to think high intellect runs in your family. He just gave me a cut apple moments ago and it reminds me of a phrase humans say. The apple falls not far from the tree if I am not mistaken?"
"That is...exactly it word for word." Now Jiang-yu felt a strange reversal of what he usually did. Rather than have to worry about his son sneaking out with a girl before he was even living on his own, the father wished the woman in front of him was a human girl. For a human woman to emulate the behaviour Renamon showed Jiang-yu and dating his son, why, he felt that would be the perfect stepdaughter.
Renamon proved to him to be a most interesting individual to speak to, perhaps the most interesting Digimon he has ever spoken to. He made a mental note to talk to her more often during any future visits. Her words were with him were not as plentiful as with his son, but it didn't matter. She was a fine talker when she wanted to be.
"Well..."
The older man lifted himself up and started his leave.
"Enjoy your stay. Do visit us again sometime, Renamon."
"It would be a pleasure to, Lee-san."
With his father now gone Jenyra turned to Renamon.
"It's nice to have you around but wanna get back to what you were gonna say now?"
He saw the vixen woman look at him for a moment and then look away.
Curiously she felt weaker taking in his question to her.
She'd already briefly touched upon her past being far from pleasant in their previous encounter.
Still even with that seed already planted and her being a very strong digimon in both body and mind she found the words she wanted to push out to have immeasurable weight to them.
She started off small and simple with her next few words.
"Well. It is about the family, Ruki and the others..."
"Oh, is something wrong with them?"
Renamon looked back at him with a reply both instant and perhaps sharper than intended.
"No. There is nothing wrong with them. The entire problem is I."
She noticed the human next to her backing off a bit as if afraid or concerned over potentially offending her. So she defused any fears he had soon after.
"I am sorry if that sounded rude. You said nothing wrong, Jenrya-kun. I assure you. You concern is most appreciated. I just feel like I bring a strange aura of dark mystery that may not be welcomed in their wonderful home."
"Dark mystery? What are you saying? Ruki cares a lot about you. You should have seen what a mess Ruki had become when we lost you and the other Digimon before. All the wild things she did I thought was apart of the tough girl life style, but I realise now they weren't. Well, actually, maybe its best you didn't. It was a rough time for us all and I would rather not remember it. Still she cares so much about you and so do they. I remember meeting her grandmother recently and how highly she spoke of you."
Renamon hung her head lower but still managed to smile. She was strong and he knew it but right now she was more venerable than Jenrya had ever seen her and it made his heart feel great pain.
"You know them, those people, they took me in? They consider me one of their own and all give me more love than I ever would have imagined and certainly more than what I deserve. They look at me like another granddaughter and even refer to me as such. Still every so often that ask me of what my life was like before coming into the human world and I always try to change the subject or find myself unable to answer. My time then, as I hinted before, was not great to say the least. It's true that I enjoy a good fight, but only because I grew so used to fighting for my own survival. I saw death often and lost many friends. That's why I became a loner before meeting Ruki. When we were forced to return after the defeat of the D-reaper I was devastated. Still, I found a greater strength from within thanks to Ruki and thanks to all of you. It made my life back there far easier than before I first came here. I was still full of despair at having lost Ruki and had a huge desire to return to her side, but my time back in the Digital World taught me something. Coming here and experiencing all I did with her and with all of you not only gave me a new kind of power far greater than simply being the strongest around. It made me a better person. I understood that and now that we have all returned to the human realm it is where I wish to spend the rest of my days of living as that better person and being Ruki's digimon."
Jenrya sat there with astounded The typically quiet and mysterious Digimon could speak of some things quite passionately when she wished to. He felt himself growing more attached to her listening to all of that and knowing she had trusted him. She trusted him enough to say all this to him.
Still he struggled to say much in response to her
"Renamon, I..." He quickly had his current attempt to respond cut short.
"Still. What's in the past is in the past and I would rather put it behind, but recently I had something else happen. Its not merely them asking me what my earlier life was like, but also the nightmares."
"Nightmares?"
"Yes, constant nightmares. Jenrya, what I told you before, about the frequent death and loss of many friends and sometimes even losing new ones..."
Renamon took a deep breath before continuing.
"As recently as two months ago to just a week ago they have haunted my sleep almost every night making me sleep poorly if at all. I don't understand why I have had this happen in recent memory but..."
Renamon's pause created an awkward silence. Again the words she stated began with so much passion and honesty but then she became quiet and unable to finish her statement. She appeared weak in the eyes Jenrya again. It made the human's heart hurt to see once again and more than the last time.
She would open her mouth trying to continue. No words. It would stay open for a few seconds with Jenrya seeing her mouth and neck tighten as if desperately trying to push out the words she needed to, but nothing. He could stand this no longer.
Impulsively he moved toward her. He was intent to put a hand on her back but then his other arm reached out as well. Before either of them knew it she was in his arms being hugged.
His eyes widened for a moment realising this, but he stayed his course. She felt limp at first.
To hug her as he did was strange, but comforting. It had been many, many years since she hugged anyone outside of the Makino family and even longer since hugging anyone beyond that house who was actually alive. The only other memory she had of this was a single incident with Terriermon. He finished her statement for her.
"You're saying you need someone to talk to about it, better yet someone not in your immediate family. You are strong, Renamon. You are really, really strong mind and body, but we all have to open up eventually. I may not be as close to you as they are, but hey, we are still friends. It hurts to see you stress like this. If you need someone to talk to I am here."
Renamon's mouth opened to finally emit sound again in the form of a gasp. She didn't understand how this situation came about. First she was opening up to a human who was not her partner and now she was in his arms. Her own limp arms then moved upward to return his embrace. Her first words after what felt like hours of silence rather than minutes made the young man smile.
"Thank you, Jenrya. Thank you... so much."
"Anytime Renamon."
She was not as quick to let go as she had hoped. In fact for a moment her head rested on him which was not something she had ever done when hugging anyone before. She had been made very aware of how much he had grown from that sweet young boy who she stood higher than to a handsome man who towered over her. In their moment of closeness she took in more of that incredible scent of his than she had ever done before. It was the same strangely pleasant, welcoming scent of a man she had come to know well. However up close it felt different.
After all that had been said and him pulling her to him something had changed with it, or rather her around his scent.
His smell was... so much nicer than before. She felt odd warmth in her body and dizziness in her head never experienced before.
Jenrya felt strange himself. Much of his feelings where like her own, strange dizziness and oddly pleasant warmth. His nose was not even a fourth as sensitive as hers, but she still had an pleasant smell to her. His nostrils were treated to a closer sample of that smell while she laid on him in their hug.
'Why do I do that? Why are we still like this? Why do I feel so...nice?'
Jenrya asked himself many questions and not one was getting an answer. What he did know is that this went beyond a simple hug between friends or an embrace of someone suffering yet he could not stop enjoying it.
It was a pleasant moment, until the two of them understood what they were doing for several more minutes than they had intended if you could say the whole thing was even intended at all.
Neither knew who first pushed away but they were both quick to separate.
Awkward silence returned longer and more awkward than before.
Renamon felt so embarrassed. She had come for to have an important question answered and yet it had become one of the things she cared for the least in that moment. Her face was warm and her heart beat madly. She fought and defeated many foes in her life, but her own desire became a uniquely difficult challenge. Why had she enjoyed that so much? Why was she fighting herself so viciously to resist the urge to stay in the human's embrace for longer ?
In her haze of physical and emotional distress she faced a most bizarre understanding.
She had grown a "fixation" for the man next to her so to speak. She would force herself to use that specific word in her head over anything else, but in truth "fixation" was a mask for "crush" or, dare she even consider something worse.
She sheepishly looked back at Jenrya to see him with an expression matching her own.
He sat there obliviously to the world around him staring into space.
'Wha...did...? That feeling? With her... a digimon?'
Renamon decided it was time to break the ice and time to put an end to this.
"I should leave."
That snapped the young human out of his trance and made him look at her.
At first he was silent but as she started to move away he grabbed her wrist.
"Hold on."
He quickly stood up and stood in front of her.
His heart rate matched her own almost beat for beat in how rapid it was.
In the back of his head he wanted to address that moment and not even think to let her leave until they did. Yet the man, even in his current state, remembered that she was still a friend in need.
No matter how strange his latest interaction with her was he wanted to help, no, he HAD to help.
He would not let her go until they adressed what troubled her mind and she caught on to that quick.
"What you said before, about the nightmares and the stories of living in the Digital World. I know its none of my business, but why don't you tell me about it?"
Renamon felt shocked and wanted to back away. She could if she wanted to. She was far stronger than him. Yet when he gripped her arm she found herself too weak to escape.
"I...well, Jenrya..." The blue haired man cut her off again.
"If you are having trouble talking to Ruki about it and need someone to listen I'll volunteer to be the listener."
"..."
Renamon felt odd mix of fear and relief. On the one hand she didn't want to lose herself to strange feelings, but on the other she now had a willing outlet for her old mental scars. He who not only looked at for his friend, but also directly chose to serve a roll she was uncertain if she ever wanted Ruki or her family to serve.
She finally found the courage to look him directly in the eyes. Two gorgeous blue spheres that gave him strange and untapped feelings met his soft grey ones.
The frown Jenrya had the moment she pulled herself out of his grip made her feel weaker than she ever had.
Taking a deep breath she gives up her attempt to walk away from it all and instead accepts the gift of kindness from the young human man that gives her strange feelings.
"Okay, Jenrya-kun."
Kun? That was very unlike her or her speech mannerisms. It embarrassed her
He noticed it to and welcomed it.
It started with the story of the first Digimon friends she knew. Being born to a violent environment where few lived and the ones that resided wanted her dead made her often ponder how she had ever made friends at all.
She was almost exclusively a warrior all her life and nothing more, but there had been one strange period in her life where she had encountered a village she tried to live near and work in.
This and many other stories came Jenrya's way. There was still much she chose not to say and told him this. Even so there was a lot divulged to him and he had a lot to take in.
He sat there with her absorbing so much and making as many mental notes as often as he could.
Her last statement regarding her old life said that night would be among the things he remembered the clearest in days to come.
"You know something, Jenrya? Not all Digimon are simply called our race. That would get too complicated. Some Digimon simply don't care what we are called and only want to fight and little else. Others born in places like I was may have been robbed at their chance of ever getting to have a name. When thrust into battles and wars and suffering tragedies at an earlier age, what even is a name?. We do have names though. I...once had one. It was given to me as far back as I can remember and I cherished it. However long ago I felt my sins grew to a point where I no longer deserved to have such a name and so I became simply Renamon as people call me. That's all people will ever call me now and I accept that. I am fine with that."
"Rena...hmmm."
Jenrya wanted to know more of that but knew he should not pry. He could sense that uneasy pain and fear coming from her again. Her body language screamed it when she turned away and held her chest tight.
He felt his whole body shift, but this time had self-control. A hand would rest on her shoulder accompanied kind words carried by his comforting voice.
"Renamon. You told me so much. It means a lot to know you trust me this much. I hate seeing you so distressed and hope I've helped any but..."
"But?"
The golden vixen looks back at the man moving closer with eyes full of concern.
"If there is anything else I can do just... ask."
She didn't object to him moving closer at all, in fact, she did the same.
The two were not close as they were during their embrace but were face to face to the point of each feeling the other's breathe.
The more she talked before the more she felt her pain melt away, but now it was like it didn't even exist. Her arms felt weak again. Her mind did not even register them being there or the fact that one of her arms had fallen on his lap.
"Jenrya-kun."
"Yeah?"
"You are truly kind."
"What are friends for, Renamon?"
"Friends..."
Her voice would change moving from a distressed tone to words purred with greater honesty but far less control.
"Friends...a friend so...so kind...so handsome..."
Her eyes could not leave his. She remembered once again that she had working limbs. She used the paw and used one arm to travel his face. The other remained on his lap taking one of his hands into hers. His free hand touched her waist and pulled her closer. She objected none and silently asked for that touch.
Who moved next history cannot tell but with the advance of one caused both to grab each other once more and this time to kiss.
Their lips met. Jenrya felt Renamon's arms fling around him while he his own moved around her waist.
There was no fear, no stress, no pain. It was simply two people who fell for each other then and there melting away all that plagued their hearts in the arms of the other.
Each threw their arms around the other. Renamon fell on top of Jenyra pushing them both to one end of the couch but doing nothing to break the kiss they continued to share.
It was the most wonderful feeling either had experienced but all good things must end.
Their sweet lip meeting moved to a new level when both moved their tongues in prodding lips.
Its when their tongues touched that they came back into reality and thought over what was happening.
With shock, fear and confusion then ruling over the atmosphere the two separated with the human remaining on a far end of the couch and the digimon taking the opposite end.
Both breathed heavily while searching for word to speak on what had happened. None came.
Some sounds from the mouths of both that were attempted words could be heard in place of actual, coherent words of any language.
Renamon found the strength to lift herself up. Rather than simply teleport immediately she walked a few steps. Her mind was still full of feelings she didn't understand and a strange longing not to leave, but she fought herself and won. After a few more steps she vanished leaving behind the man she had shared her first kiss with to think over everything alone.
Jenrya's mind was heavy, his body hot and his heart pounding immensely.
"Wha...did I...with...her...? I, with a digimon...with...you huh?"
His mind had voices telling him the mistake he had made and the wrongness of the fact.
He silenced them. He did so with remarkable speed so fast that he was not even sure they were there in the first place.
What he did was wrong. No wait, it wasn't. Not at all. Was it? Did he feel that way? Did he even want to feel that way?
He put his hand to his heart. Thoughts of that golden vixen returned to him.
She was gone now and it made his heart ache. Why was the question he asked regarding that pain and basically everything else that had transpired.
His mind was plagued with many thoughts of it and of her even after he made his way back to his room and crept into bed with Terriermon.
His mind stayed busy. Thankfully he was quick to pass out.
His final thoughts of the night were all about his previous visitor and the moment they shared.
