Biography:
Once upon a time, in a far, far away galaxy, there were two planets at constant wars. One, the world of Taraak, was inhabited by zealously warmongering men. The other, the world of Mejere, was populated by women, who mostly raided the cosmos as space pirates.
One hundred years ago, Hibiki Tokai, only son of Lord Gran-Pa and Lady Gran-Ma (leaders of Taraak and Mejere at the time) was put into a cryogenic sleep to save him from civil turmoil. He woke up at the peak of hostilities between the planets, and was put into the care of his father's younger brother, whom he called 'Grandfather'. Years later, after reaching adulthood, he moved out of his Grandfather's house and worked in a Vanguard factory as a mechanic, the job that had been determined by his social class. He came to hate the environment where he worked, and dreamed of a better life.
His life changed when Mejere pirates aboard the Nirvana ship picked him and two other males up on a raid. Among them, Hibiki found a reason for his existence.
Dita Liebely was an average apprentice pilot for the Mejere pirates, and had no special origins or familiar ties. She grew fiercely interested in Hibiki, whom she branded 'Mr. Alien', since he was the first male he ever saw closely. Hibiki reacted to her with fear at first, then with annoyance, but over time a strong bond was established between them. Their first meeting had them accidentally joining their respective ships into the mighty Vandread Dita (see below) that has been turned into their Noble Phantasm as a joint Heroic Spirit.
Thanks to them, the Nirvana pirates were able to defeat the threat of the world ravaging Harvest Fleet, and they brought the twin worlds of Taraak and Mejere back together. After that, they married and had a baby daughter, the first natural born human since Hibiki's own conception.
Class Skills:
Magic Resistance: D
A Skill that grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether.
The Servant has no noteworthy endurance against magic other than the bare minimum provided by the class container. Their defeat of the Harvesters, who were feared as supernatural entities across the galaxy despite having scientific origins, raises the rank ever so lightly.
Riding: B
Both halves of Rider are excellent starship pilots, capable of maneuvering across lengthy spans of outer space. Dita had plenty of training under Vice Captain Meia Gisborn, and while Hibiki was never trained formally before being forcefully recruited into the Nirvana crew, he was a very quick learner.
Independently, and without a need to activate a Noble Phantasm, Dita can summon an inferior copy of her Dread flying ship, and Hibiki can do the same with his Vanguard ship. Having both of them available at the same time is necessary to bring Rider's Noble Phantasm into existence (see below). Both of those ships are extremely fast and are armed with plasma pulse guns, but they cannot leave Earth's atmosphere now, plus their mana intake is highly steep.
Land vehicles and other animals that are large enough also can be used as means of transportation, especially for Dita, who is much more friendly to animals than Hibiki.
Dragons and phantasmal beasts are not a viable riding alternative.
Personal Skills:
Cooking: A
Dita only.
Dita is very apt at cooking several manners of pastries, meats, salads and assorted refined meals, something that impressed Hibiki, who had been raised on a diet of capsules by the warmongering Taraak. Dita can bring wildly diverging individuals around a table with her expertise and settle peaceful and loving climates even among would be enemies.
Valor: A
While neither of them is a coward even if left alone, Hibiki and Dita only gain the Valor skill when they are working in tandem. On their separate terms they could fall preyo to scare tactics, or manipulation, but side-by-side, their love holds them against enemies far surpassing them.
By staying closely together and shouting words of support to each other, during a crisis Rider's Valor may raise to EX.
Mechanical Tinkering: C+++
Hibiki only.
Toiling long hours for years in the heat of Taraak hangars, Hibiki learned a lot about technical maintenance and reparation of assorted equipment and ships. He lacks Item Creation so he cannot create any new technology, but he can fix most damaged items, even those from centuries or millennia into the future, on the fly. He is left stuck, however, upgrading or improving magically charged technology, and he lacks the hacking knowledge to operate Spiritron machinery.
Golden Rule: C
Towards the end of their recorded adventures, Hibiki was recognized as the heir to the political heads of Taraak and Mejere and achieved a high social and economic status. By marrying him, Dita also took on those fringe benefits, and even before she had a fair share of the spoils in every raid of her crew.
The status is lowered since for most of their known history, both halves of Rider lived in relative poverty.
The Master will always be provided with enough meals, and they will never be left homeless, but Rider cannot indulge them with an excess of material riches.
Noble Phantasm:
Vandread Dita: A
Anti-Army.
Up to 700 units at a single given time.
When Dita's Dread and Hibiki's Vanguard come together, they transform into the Vandread Dita unit.
Also known as the Blue Kachina, the Life Bringer. This is a blue and gigantic humanoid mecha that yields two powerful arm-mounted dual energy cannons. They can be adjusted to function as long-range or short-range weapons. It is also equipped with shoulder-mounted cannons, arm-mounted lances, and a powerful javelin that returns safely after being thrown.
Hibiki's Vanguard also can be combined with the Dreads of Meia Gisborn and Jura Basil Eden, resulting in Vandread Meia and Vandread Jura. Meia and Jura are also summonable as Archers or Riders, but Jura is summoned along with Barnette Orangello.

Holy Grail: "Ah. To go back to those days...!"
"Please don't say that, Dita. You make me feel old."
