Chapter 3
Struggling with Victoria's grip, she felt a sharp pain in her lower back and something hot and sticky started to run down her back when everything went black.
3 Days later
"She's coming round" came a male voice three day's later. "Get the nurse"
'Nurse' Bella thought confused, as the voices became louder and one of them was her father Charlie, then it all came rushing back Victoria and she jolted awake in fright and realised the other voice was Angel and she wondered 'why he was there' and also saw a young man with short brown hair and wondered who he was.
"Are you in pain?" her dad asked.
"My back" she said.
"You were mugged in the school carpark at knife point and stabbed, luckily Mr Angel and his son Connor scared them away, and are helping us find the two men"
"Oh...water" she said her mouth really dry thinking 'that was a good excuse they made up instead of telling him about Victoria'
"So do you remember these men who attacked you?" Charlie asked handing her a glass of water. Feeling better after finishing it, she shook her head saying "no don't remember them"
"Where is the nurse?" said Charlie "I will be back in a moment" leaving the room as Angel was clearly wanting to speak.
"Victoria?" she asked worriedly.
"We scared her off, I smelled all the blood in the ladies room and we found you just in time. We were there early to get things sorted for my son Connor" he replied looking at the young man beside him.
"Hey" he said smiling. "Mum and our friend Spike are busy chasing her out of town"
"That's good, she will try again if she knows I survived"
"Don't worry we'll be around, the wife Darla will look after your dad and Connor or one of us will be with you"
"That's good"n just as Charlie came back with the nurse.
"Hey" said the lady with brown hair, how is my patient we are glad you're awake, if you all please leave while i examine my patient" she said kindly.
After the nurse had finished, Bella dozed off as the nurse spoke to her dad and Mr Angel outside.
Another day or so had passed and Bella was eating and feeling much stronger and ready to go home, Mr Angel and Connor were always there with her dad coming and going. It was Friday, so no school for a couple of days which was a relief she thought now in Charlie's police car on the way home that very afternoon, With Connor and Angel following them in a fancy silver sports car.
When they pulled up in front of her house, Bella saw a thin blond woman coming down the stairs "That's Angel's wife Darla she has been helping me get things ready for you nice lady"
"Hey" said Darla smiling opening the door. "So nice to meet you" helping her out the car. "A couple of days rest and good food will do you good"
So for Saturday and Sunday Bella rested in bed or on the couch down in the living room feeling slightly scared going back to school.
