"Special field trip?" asked Ash and Jordan.
"Please be somewhere cool. Please be somewhere cool." Jordan whispered to herself as she crossed her fingers.
"So does that mean that we get to go to some amazing place?" asked Mallow.
"We sure do…the Kanto region." said Kukui. Everyone but Ash and Jordan were excited with the later frozen in place. "Oh, boy. Kanto, huh?" said Ash, his head hitting the desk.
"Back to where everything started." said Jordan.
"You and Jordan are from the Kanto region, aren't you, Ash?" asked Kiawe.
"Yep." said Ash as Jordan's head hits her desk hard.
"I guess that it's too late to run away into the forest, huh?" asked Jordan's muffled voice.
"Cario…" said Meeko, patting her head.
"Professor Oak's world-famous laboratory is there, right?" asked Sophocles.
"Yes, indeed!" said Principal Oak. "We'll visit my cousin, Professor Oak at his laboratory, plus you'll get to see lots of Kanto Pokémon, too!"
"Right, and that's not all." said Professor Kukui. "I want you to be able to Tackle an experience you can't have here, along with some very special guests."
"Special guests? Who are they?" asked Ash.
"I bet I know who they are." said Jordan, crossing her arms in front of her.
"Tell me, Jordan." begged Ash. "I gotta know who they are."
"No way. I'm not telling if you were the last person on the island." she tells him. "Better yet, I wouldn't tell you if you were one of the last people from our region." Jordan then turns to Sophocles and smiles. "Oh, Sophocles?" Jordan asked sweetly as she turns to the boy.
"Yeah?" he asked cautiously.
"Remember how you wanted to know how many Tauros Ash had?" asked Jordan and he nodded. "Well, youre finally going to get your answer."
"Really?" asked Sophocles, starting to smile.
"Yes…..yes you are." said Jordan, nodding at him.
"And just what can't we do in Alola?" Mallow asked Kukui.
"You'll have to wait to find out until we get there." Kukui tells her.
"Sounds like lots of fun." said Kiawe and Sophocles.
"Sure does!" said Lillie, Mallow and Lana. Soon enough, the Pokémon school gets on a plane, heading towards Ash and Jordan's home region of Kanto.
"Pika, Pika." said Pikachu.
"Lucar, Lucar." said Meeko.
"Man, I can't wait to get there." said Ash with Jordan sitting between him and Kukui. "Jordan and I will be able to show you guys around."
"That'll be perfect." said Mallow.
"And maybe I can even show you guys Ash's messy room." said Jordan with a smirk on her face.
"No you won't." argued Ash. "If you do, then I get to show them your room."
"So? Your room is still messier than mine no matter where we go." said Jordan. "So top that, Ash Ketchum!"
"Hey Sophocles, how is this thing flying?" asked a freaked out Kiawe.
"As far as I'm concerned, it's a whole lot safer than a Charizard." said Sophocles.
"Pika! Lucar!" said Pikachu and Meeko once the plane landed at the Kanto airport.
"Here we are!" said Ash and Jordan.
"Hope we get to see a Vileplume." said Mallow.
"Horsea and Seadra too." said Lana.
"Vul." said Snowy, feeling weak from the flight.
"Oh, no. Something wrong, Snowy?" Lillie asked.
"Vul." Snowy squealed, feeling unhappy.
"Don't you feel well?" Lillie asked Snowy who then hops in her arms. "Oh dear…."
"Vul…." said Snowy.
"Now what should I do?" asked Lillie, looking around for Nurse Joy when suddenly, someone familiar walked up to her.
"Excuse me. Your Vulpix…." said Brock, stopping in front of Lillie. "Would you mind if I take a look at it? See, I'm actually studying to become a Pokémon Doctor."
"That would be great." said Lillie. "We got off the plane when all of a sudden…"
"Leave it to me." said Brock and starts to examine Snowy. Unknown to Brock and Lillie, Team Rocket also steps off the plane.
"Ugh, this is so depressing….." said Jessie, slumped over as she exits the tunnel.
"Going through all of this to get to headquarters…." said James.
"So why do we have to take orders from that bob cut glasses gal anyway?" Jessie asked James and Meowth.
"We'll get more lectures than all my school years combined." complained James.
"Go away! Go away! GO AWAY!" Jessie shouted at the image that popped up in her mind.
"Hey, no sweat." said Meowth. "If we give loser lips this honey malasada, she'll sure get in a good mood! Yeah, like that's gonna work…"
"Vul…" said a weak Snowy, then gives Brock a questioning look.
"Just as I suspected. Just a little airsickness." said Brock, diagnosis the problem.
"Oh, thank you very much!" said Lillie.
"I wonder what's keeping Lillie." said Mallow, looking back to see Lillie and Snowy with Brock.
"Whoa…" said Ash, as he and Jordan recognize who Lillie was talking to. "Is that Brock?"
"It sure is. I'm long overdue for a one-of-a-kind Brock hug!" said Jordan.
"Huh?" said Jessie, hearing Ash and Jordan call out to Brock, who then looks in their direction.
"Huh?" asked Brock.
"Heyyyy! Brock!" shouted the brother and sister as they ran up to him, with the latter wanting a hug. Just then, Brock sees a flight attendant behind Ash and Jordan. "Wow!" shouted Brock as he runs past the siblings, not even acknowledging them towards the flight attendant.
"Well….I guess I won't be getting my special one-of-a-kind Brock hug today." said Jordan as soon as she and Ash stopped spinning.
"Pika!" said a surprised Pikachu.
"Really, Brock?" asked Meeko.
"Ahh… Such a lovely flight attendant in all of her radiance!" said Brock, taking the flight attendant's hand and pulls out some flowers. "It would be paradise if we flew the lovely skies together! Chasing clouds with you…soaring….on love's wings." Suddenly, Brock gets hit in the head and his ear pulled by a certain familiar redheaded girl.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow….OW!" said Brock.
"All right, I come all the way to pick you up at the airport, and this is the thanks I get?" Misty asked Brock.
"Ha! Its Misty!" said Ash, pointing at her.
"Hey, Ash! Hey, Jordan! How have you been doing?" asked Misty.
"Thank you Misty! I appreciate you!" said Jordan, giving her a hug.
"Aw, thanks Jordan." said Misty, happy that at least someone appreciates her.
"To be fair, I really hate it when Brock goes head over heels for a random girl." Jordan said to her brother.
"Yeah but you know how Brock is." said Ash.
"Yeah, well…it's better than nothing, I suppose." added Jordan, digging through her backpack.
"Lucario, Lucari." said Meeko, shaking her head at Brock as Jordan takes out her water gun.
"Yeah….Bad Brock! Bad Brock!" said Jordan, spraying water in her friend's face. "No pretty girls for you!"
"Pika, Pika!" shouted Pikachu, jumping to Misty's arms.
"Misty!" said Meeko, hopping up to Misty's back.
"Long time no see, you two." said Misty, hugging all three Pokémon. Hiding behind a pillar, Team Rocket spies on them. "It's the original Twerp, Twerp, Twerpette and Baby Twerpette quartet." said Jessie as Jordan climbs onto Brock's back.
"What are those lowlifes doing here?" asked James.
"Let us introduce you." said Ash. "They're our friends, and we've all travelled together before."
"Nice to meet you." said Misty. "I'm Misty, international known beauty! I'm also the Cerulean Gym Leader."
"You're a Gym Leader?" asked Mallow.
"And an…internationally known beauty?" asked Lana.
"I'm Brock!" Brock said, posing with his muscles. "A Pokémon Breeder, as well as a Pokémon Doctor in training. I'm also the former Pewter Gym Leader. The pleasure to meet you is all mine."
"Hi there, Brock. My name's Sophocles."
"I'm Lillie."
"I'm Kiawe."
"My name's Mallow."
"And I'm Lana."
"What are you two doing here?" asked Ash.
"Oh, Professor Oak asked us to come." said Misty.
"Oh! You must be the special guests!" said Ash.
"I knew it! Awesome!" said Jordan.
"Hold on!" said Professor Kukui. "We'll get to the truth and Quash any rumors when we're on the road."
"Right, my cousin is waiting." said Principal Oak. "Shellos we go?"
"You did say that you missed the poems, right?" Ash asked Jordan, who nodded in return.
"Sounds like they're on their way to Professor Oak's lab." said Jessie.
"That crib is picture perfect place to pick a pile of primo Pokémon!" said Meowth.
"I predict if we catch them all and present those Pokémon to the boss, it will be lecture over and class dismissed." said Jessie.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet said in agreement. Once in Pallet Town, they all arrived at Professor Oak's lab. "Samson!" said Professor Oak.
"Dear Samuel!" said Principal Oak.
"Congratulations on the twentieth anniversary of your school." said the Kanto Professor, shaking his cousins hand.
"Thank you cousin!" said Principal Oak.
"They're the same!" squealed Rotom, then takes a picture of both men. "Except for their hair, their other features like their noses and mouths are a 99.9% match!"
"Everyone! This is my dear cousin and world's leading authority on Pokémon research." said Principal Oak, introducing his cousin to the Alolan kids. "Let me present Professor Samuel Oak."
"Ahem. And now I believe it is time for a Pokémon Poem." coughed Professor Oak, then starts a poem. "Twenty years. How Bulbizarre the passing of time can be…catching Pokémon for everyone to see!"
"Bulbasaur!" said an imaginary Bulbasaur.
"Popplio!" said Popplio as the others heard their first live Pokémon Poem.
"Here's one of my poems for you!" said Rotom. "Same faces, side by side. A Bulbizarre ride!"
"Brilliantly done!" said the cousins.
"Poetry is fun." Rotom added.
"You know, I prefer Professor Oak's poems a whole lot better than Rotom's." said Jordan, shaking her head.
"At least Professor Oak's poems are world famous." said Meeko.
"I've asked Brock and Misty to be your guides. I'll know they'll be great." Professor Oak said as they left his lab with a cart full of Jordan's Pokéballs next to them.
"Thanks." said Brock.
"We won't let you down." said Misty.
"You're letting me bring them all out?" Jordan asked, looking at the Pokémon she caught from other regions.
"Knowing you, I bet you want to show them off." said Professor Oak, then bends down for only Jordan to hear. "Don't worry….Kadabra is with your mom and you know where Azura is."
"Thank you." Jordan said, sighing in relief that she didn't have to get hugged today from Ash's Kadabra.
"Whoa." said Mallow and Kiawe, seeing the large area in front of them.
"It's huge." said Sophocles.
"And so many Pokémon too!" said Lillie.
"Yeah, right?" asked Ash.
"Some of these Pokémon have trainers who asked us to care for them while they're gone." said Brock. "Some are Pokémon we've taken in. And some are wild Pokémon who just showed up."
"No time to waste, so let's see them all!" said Misty.
"This is the perfect place to gather Pokémon data!" said Rotom, not knowing that Ash, Misty, Brock and Jordan were smiling behind him.
"And you'll get even more data from me, Rotom." said Jordan.
"Why do you say that?" asked the floating Pokémon Dex.
"Jordan has a surprise for all you that she planned with Professor Oak." said Misty.
"Smart thinking, sis." said Ash, then gets down towards her ear. "Lana will love it."
"Thanks, Ash." said Jordan. "I asked him to let the both of them know that we were on our way here. I really want to surprise her."
"They will be here, right on time too." said Professor Oak, giving her a smile and a wink.
"Thanks, Professor Oak." said Jordan.
"I want to see a Kanto Raichu!" said Sophocles.
"When I think Kanto, it's got to be fire types." said Kiawe.
"Horsea! Seadra!" squealed Lana.
"There are so many Pokémon I want to see…." said Lillie before looking up to see a flock of Spearow. "Oh, look! Ooh, a Spearow!"
"We have them in Alola, too…" Mallow reminded Lillie.
"I guess you're right." said Lillie, sticking out her tongue in fun.
"And a lot of our Pokémon are living here too." said Ash, then looks up to see his heard of Tauros. "There they are!"
"Those are all Ash's Tauros." said Jordan, watching Sophocles' eyes go wide.
"He has that many?" he asked.
"Yep. 15 in all." said Jordan as they mooed while grazing.
"Hey! Look, Tauros, it's me!" said Ash as he starts running towards the heard. Two Tauros looked up in surprised, happy to see Ash and starts their stampede towards him. "Whats going on?" asked Mallow.
"What's Ash doing?" asked Sophocles.
"Tauros!" Ash exclaimed as he was then thrown in the air, Team Rocket style.
"Pikachu." Pikachu said, worriedly.
"You're not the only one, Pikachu." said Jordan.
"Lucari." said Meeko.
"Hey everyone? Before we go off to see the other Pokémon that are here at Professor Oak's lab, do you wanna see all of my Pokémon?" Jordan asked the Pokémon school kids, Professor Kukui and Rotom.
"You have other Pokémon besides the ones here in Kanto?" asked Sophocles.
"I sure do. From Johto to Kalos. I brought them all back here with me from when Ash and I travelled to the other regions." she tells him, causing Kukui and the Pokémon school kids to look at Professor Oak, Ash, Misty and Brock.
"She has proof. A whole lot of proof." all four of them said in unison. Professor Oak brought out all of Jordan's Pokéballs that she had at his lab.
"She even has a couple of Legendary Pokémon too. One from here in Kanto and the other from Johto." said Meeko, smiling at them.
"Come on out, everyone!" said Jordan, throwing each Pokeball into the air and calling them out. With help from Ash, Misty and Brock, Jordan shows them all of her Pokémon.
"Wow! Jordan has so many Pokémon!" squealing Rotom as he takes pictures of every one of her Pokémon. "Updating data. Updating data!"
"That's a lot of Pokémon, Jordan." said Professor Kukui, shocked that she had a lot.
"I know and I love them all the same." said Jordan as she pets Phoenix, her Arcanine.
"Lucario." said Meeko.
"Arcanine!" said Phoenix.
"In each region, most of them were caught while others were either followed me or were given to me as Pokémon eggs." Jordan explained to Kukui.
"Wow! That's…." said Kiawe, seeing a Rapidash standing by its lonesome.
"Rapidash. The Fire Horse Pokémon. A fire type." said Rotom. "Rapidash love to gallop. Whenever it sees something moving fast, it gets the urge to race."
Rapidash kicks its front legs into the air and starts running as fast as it can. "All right! Charizard, let's go!" said Kiawe, letting Charizard out of its Pokeball.
"Chari!" roared Charizard as Kiawe hops onto its back.
"Ready to fly?" asked Kiawe, causing Charizard roars as it takes off, catching up to Rapidash. "Want to have a race, Rapidash?"
Charizard roared in affirmative tone and Rapidash whinnied in agreement, running faster ahead of Kiawe. Both Pokémon were neck in neck when Rapidash called out to Kiawe, wanting him to hop on its back. "Really? You want me to hop on?" Kiawe asked. He then jumps off of Charizard and lands on Rapidash, who was now happy to have a rider.
"I'm in awe!" Kiawe exclaimed as Rapidash ran even faster with Charizard roaring in excitement.
"Kiawe! How far are you going?" Rotom asked, chasing after them.
"Vileplume." said a contented Vileplume as it sits with a pair of Gloom.
"So, this is a real Vileplume!" gasped Mallow, seeing Vileplume for the first time with Steenee.
"Vileplume!" Vileplume said, greeting Mallow.
"And a pair of Gloom too." said Mallow.
"Gloom. Gloom." added the pair of Gloom.
"Steen, Steenee." Steenee replied.
"Alola, cuties." said Mallow, reaching out to Vileplume and Gloom.
"Vileplume!" said Vileplume, releasing its Poison Powder, causing Mallow to be confused.
"Vileplume's pollen is poisonous!" Brock shouted to Mallow as he waved his arms.
"Get away! Get away! Get away! GET AWAY!" shouted Misty.
"Get away!" shouted Brock as Vileplume's Poison Powder came up towards Mallow.
"Nooooo!" screamed Mallow, picking up Steenee and runs towards Misty and Brock.
In the tall grass, Sophocles and Togedemaru spots Raichu. "Rai?" asked Raichu.
"Ha! Found it." said Sophocles.
"Uh….Raichu?" Jordan said, then points to an excited Togedemaru.
"Toge!" said Togedemaru and runs around Raichu. "Maru! Maru!"
"Rai?" asked Raichu, confused as its electricity came out from its body and feels the pain before falling to the ground. "Rai, Rai."
"Are you okay?" asked Sophocles.
"Toge?" asked a worried Togedemaru.
"Lucar. Arca…" said Meeko and Phoenix, poking Raichu to see if it was okay after what Togedemaru did.
"Didn't have the heart to fully warn Raichu?" asked Ash.
"I couldn't even bring myself to say it." said Jordan, looking up at her brother for a moment before looking back at Raichu. A few minutes later, they found Ninetales. "Snowy? That Pokémon is a Ninetales from Kanto." Lillie said to Snowy.
"Vul." said Snowy, amazed to see her Kanto counter part's evolved form. She then starts hesitantly walking up to Ninetales. "Nine." greeted Ninetales, giving Snowy a kiss on her head.
"Vul." said Snowy as Lillie smiles behind her.
"Aaah!" said Lana, happy to see a Dewgong.
"Dewgong?" asked Dewgong, looking up at Lana.
"What a cute Pokémon." said Lana.
"Pop." said Popplio, creating a balloon, sending it over to Dewgong.
"Dew….gong." said Dewgong, playing with Popplio's balloon and bounces it on its head.
"What a great shot!" said Lana.
"Pop!" cheered Popplio as she claps with Dewgong.
"Dew. Gong, Gong, Gong." said Dewgong.
"Pika, Pika." said Pikachu and Lyra.
"Cario!" said Meeko.
"Coming to Kanto with everyone sure is fun!" said Ash then looks around. "Hold on. Where did Rotom go?"
"I don't know." said Jordan, then turns to Dewgong. "Hey, Dewgong. I have a question for you."
"Dew?" asked Dewgong, smiling as it nodded at her.
"Dewgong, Dew, Dewgong, Gong?" Jordan asked Dewgong, describing one of her Pokémon.
"Dewgong, Gong, Gong." Dewgong replied, pointing down the river.
"Thanks, Dewgong." said Jordan, waving.
"You know how to speak Dewgong?" asked Lana.
"Yep. I learned every time Ash and I came back home." said Jordan. "I was asking Dewgong about one of my Pokémon and how they were doing."
On the other side of the lab, Rotom was taking pictures of every Kanto Pokémon he could find. "If I keep this up, I'll be able to complete my data covering every Pokémon in Kanto!" said Rotom.
Once everyone had met up back at the lab, Brock and Misty were waiting. "Now check these out!" said Brock throwing a Pokeball into the air.
"And notice any differences! Go!" said Misty, throwing a Pokeball as well.
Out of both Pokéballs, stood Exeggutor from both regions. The Kanto Exeggutor looks up and sees how tall its Alolan counterpart is. "Exegg." said Kanto Exeggutor, and stretches to match the height.
"Kanto's Exeggutor is so short." said Lana.
"I guess it doesn't get much sun here." Kiawe thought out loud.
"They're different all right." said Mallow.
"Exegg!" said Kanto Exeggutor and suddenly becomes sad. "Exegg."
"Here are my partners." said Brock and out comes Geodude with its counterpart.
"That Geodude has no eyebrows." said Lana, taking a closer look at Brock's Geodude.
"Are you saying those are eyebrows?" asked Sophocles.
"Geodude!" said Jordan with her arms opened wide.
"Geo!" Geodude exclaimed, rushing past Lana and Sophocles, hugging Jordan and Meeko.
"How's it going, Geodude?" Jordan asked.
"What's up, Geodude?" asked Meeko, fist bumping the rock type Pokémon.
"Muk!" bellowed Alolan Muk as it came out with its Kanto counterpart.
"Ah! Muk, it's great to see you again…." said Ash as his Muk hugs him to the ground.
"Muk, get off of Ash." said Jordan, tapping her foot.
"Toge." said Togedemaru, patting Jordan's leg and points to Muk. "Togedemaru?"
"That's one of Ash's Pokémon who just loves him to the ground." Jordan whispered to Togedemaru. "There's another one around here who apparently loves Ash more than Pikachu does. But you, me and Meeko will have to go on a hunt for her." Jordan then whispers the name in Togedemaru's ear, causing the Roly-Poly Pokémon to giggle with glee.
"Trio!" shouted the Alolan Dugtrio.
"Trio!" shouted the Kanto Dugtrio.
"AAHHH!" screamed Kiawe as he sees the heads of the Kanto Dugtrio. "It's gone bald!" He then takes his wig from the Dug-Leo concert. "Here you go, buddy. You can put on my wig instead. It's the least I can do."
"Kiawe, no. So sorry." said Jordan, taking the wig off of Dugtrio and gives it a remorseful look. "This Dugtrio is fine the way it is. There's no need to worry about this one."
"See, Dugtrio don't have any hair in Kanto." said Ash as Jordan hands Kiawe back his wig.
"Last but not least." said Brock and releases his Marowak.
"Marowak!" said Marowak.
"I present to you the Alolan Marowak!" said Kiawe, sending out his Marowak.
"Marowak!" said Kiawe's Marowak, as it comes out of its Pokeball. Both Marowaks turned towards each other and got in each other's faces as they start spinning their bones around.
"Hey, cut it out!" said Kiawe, pulling his Marowak back.
"Come on! No fighting!" said Brock.
"Okay! That's it!" said Jordan, glaring at the two Marowaks in front of her as Brock and Kiawe took a step back. "Who wants to hand over their bone first?"
"Lucario?" asked Meeko, glaring at both Marowaks as well.
"Canine?" Phoenix asked Ash, wondering what Jordan was doing.
"You'll see, Phoenix." said Ash. Each of them glanced at each other before Kiawe's Marowak hesitantly handed over its bone and quickly runs over to Kiawe, hiding behind him.
"Maro…." said Marowak, shaking in fear, scared of what Jordan and Meeko might do to it.
"Smart move, Marowak." said Jordan, smiling at it before glaring at Brock's Marowak.
"Good choice." said Meeko, bowing in its direction.
"Same old Jordan, same old spunky attitude." said Brock, watching Jordan raise the bone high above her head.
"Wak! Wak!" shouted Jordan.
"I hope she never changes." said Misty, smiling as Jordan whacks the ground type Marowak hard in the head a couple of times.
"You know that she never will, right?" Ash asked them.
"We know." said Misty.
"That's what we actually love about your sister, Ash." said Brock.
"Arcanine!" Phoenix yipped happily.
"Marowak?" asked Brock's Marowak, rubbing its head and glaring at Jordan.
"Admit it, you know that you deserved that one. Behave." Jordan pointed out, handing back the bone to Kiawe's Marowak, who is stunned.
Not even a few seconds later, both Marowaks were at it again and both trainers had to pull them apart, causing Jordan to sigh. "Their short-tempered personalities are the same." said Mallow.
"Yeah, but I think their types are different." said Sophocles.
"You're right. My Marowak is a fire and ghost type." said Kiawe.
"I know I read that the Kanto Marowak is a ground type." said Lillie.
"Right. I'm impressed." said Brock.
"I loved reading about it." said Lillie as Pikachu hops down from the tree.
"Marowak!" said both Marowaks as they head butted each other in anger.
"Pika, Pika." said Pikachu with Meeko's help in separating both Marowak, who then turns to both Pokémon and knocks them into the sky.
"Wak!"
"Pika! Lucari!" shouted Pikachu and Meeko.
"Arcanine!" barked Phoenix.
"Togedemaru." said Togedemaru, angrily as she, Phoenix and Lyra knocked them back, only for the three of them to get chase by both Marowaks.
"Togedemaru." said Sophocles, running after them with Kiawe and Brock.
"Get back here!" shouted Brock. Just then, Pikachu and Meeko falls back to the ground and boy did Pikachu have a vengeance. "Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu, using thunderbolt on everyone but Jordan, Meeko and Brock's Marowak.
"Brings back memories." said Misty.
"Yeah!" said Brock as an explosion occurred.
"At least Jordan and Meeko hid themselves." said Ash when Jordan and Meeko came out of Professor Oak's lab.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu.
"Pikachu, we love you and all, but for real though….I don't need to be shocked today with your Thunderbolt." said Jordan.
"Lucario." said Meeko.
"How would you know?" Jordan asked her. "You were given to me as an egg back then, remember?"
"Cari…..Lucario." said Meeko.
"Uh-huh." said Jordan, smiling as she crossed her arms.
"Ah! Popplio's missing!" said Lana.
"Marowak's missing, too!" said Kiawe.
"They're gone?!" asked Brock.
"Popplio!" Ash called out.
"Marowak!" said Brock.
"Where are you?" Misty and Jordan asked.
"Pika, Pika." said Pikachu, then turns to Meeko.
"Lucario, Cario!" said Meeko.
"Did you find them, Meeko?" asked Jordan as Meeko nodded, pointing in the direction of the lake.
"Are they there, Pikachu?" asked Ash. Suddenly, crawling out of a bush, was a Caterpie.
"AAHH!" screamed Misty, turning the other way. "You'd better stay away from me!"
"I remember now." Jordan said randomly, snapping her fingers. "When we first met Lillie, she reminded me of Misty."
"Somethings stay the same." said Ash. "You still scared of Bug types?"
"Bug types bug me more than I can say." said Misty, popping out from behind a tree.
"Misty, you sure havent changed a bit." said Ash.
"Brings back memories." said Brock.
"A whole lot of memories." said Jordan.
"Huh?" said Ash.
"I mean, how the four of us used to travel together." explained Brock. "We did lots of things and had lots of fun."
"Although not everything was fun." said Misty.
"Jordan and I enjoyed every moment of our journey." said Ash.
"It was the best journey of all time if you ask me." said Jordan.
"I'm a little jealous of how carefree the both of you are." said Misty. Nearby a Victreebel screams, gaining their attention. "What was that?" asked Ash.
"Let's see!" said Brock.
"Bulbasaur." said Bulbasaur, negotiating between Oddish and Bellsprout.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Lucar!" said Meeko.
"Arca." said Phoenix.
"It's Bulbasaur." said Ash.
"Bulba? Saur!" said Bulbasaur, excited to see Ash and Jordan there.
"How are you doing?" Ash asked as Bulbasaur jumped up.
"Bulba, Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur said, nuzzling Ash.
"Still negotiating, I see." said Jordan as Bulbasaur jumped into her arms.
"Bulbasaur." said Bulbasaur, nodding.
"Pika. Lucar." said Pikachu and Meeko.
"It's been a long time. Bulbasaur's thrilled." said Brock.
"Isn't it great?" asked Misty.
"Always." said Jordan, then looks at Bulbasaur. "So, is Tulip helping you with negotiations?"
"Popplio?" Lana called out to her Pokémon, hoping to find her.
"Where are you?" Mallow and Lillie called out.
"Hey, guys! Still havent found Popplio yet?" Misty asked as she and Jordan ran up.
"No…" said Lana.
"There's a lake up ahead. I think we should go check it out!" suggested Misty and they headed to the lake.
"Maybe Popplio's playing in the water." said Lana. Suddenly, a pair of Gyarados pops up from the water, roaring and one of them recognizes Jordan. As the others ran for cover, Jordan and Lana stood their ground. As both Gyarados dive back into the water, Lana changes her outfit. "I'll take a look." said Lana and dives in.
"Lana's brave. Well, she's not the only one who's brave! So…I'm gonna be brave too!" said Misty and dives in after her while the second Gyarados pops up to smile at Jordan.
"I asked Dewgong if you were here or helping mom with the garden, Azura. I was a little worried about you." said Jordan as she splashes water on her, Meeko and Phoenix.
"Azura?!" asked Mallow and Lillie.
"Yep. This is my Gyarados, Azura." said Jordan as Azura gently roared at them as she smiled. "She won't hurt you, Lillie. I've trained her to be gentle."
"Really?" asked Lillie as she and Mallow stepped closer.
"Yep. Team Rocket had Azura first when she was a Magikarp." Jordan started to explain, telling them Azura's story as Meeko and Phoenix shake out their fur.
Azura bends her head down and looks at both of Jordan's classmates. In the lake, Misty and Lana were on the hunt for Popplio, finding her talking to a couple of Horseas. "Pop." said Popplio as Misty and Lana swam up to her and Horsea.
"Marowak?" Kiawe called out.
"Where did you go?" asked Ash.
"Hello, Marowak?" asked Brock.
"Marowak!" shouted Sophocles.
"Knowing how Marowak gets….I sure hope it's not in a fight somewhere." said Kiawe.
"All right then." said Sophocles, bringing out his Pikachu monitor. "I'll use this software I programmed…..huh!" Underneath them, rocks were moving until the boys realized that they were standing on an Onix.
"(Roars)" said an angry Onix, standing at its full height.
"Onix!" said Brock and Ash as Sophocles screamed.
"Let's do it, Turtonator." said Kiawe, sending out Turtonator.
"Turtonator." said Turtonator, who then looks up at a menacing Onix.
"Just stay calm." Brock said to the others. "As long as we do that, we'll be fine."
As the boys stayed calm, Onix became curious and distracted until a bone was thrown at its face, causing Onix to glare at the Pokémon who had thrown it. "Marowak!" shouted Marowak, as its bone returned, proud of what it did.
"I guess you wouldn't call that staying calm, right Brock?" asked Kiawe.
"You know what I say?" Brock asked as Onix came up behind him. "Run!" Everyone screamed as they ran after Brock with Onix roaring and chasing them. Once they had found Marowak and Popplio, they then gathered together. "At least it's a big relief that we found everybody." said Ash. Suddenly out of nowhere, a net was shot out and surrounded the Pokémon. "Whats that?" Ash asked.
"Prepare for trouble, like Twerps used to do." said Jessie.
"And make it double; we'll put a spell on you." said James.
"To protect the world from devastation…"
"To untie all peoples within our nation…."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love…"
"To extend our reach to the stars above…"
"Jessie."
"And James."
"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light." said Jessie.
"Surrender now or prepare for a sentimental fight." said James.
"Meowth! That's right!" said Meowth.
"Wobbuffet!" said Wobbuffet.
"Still keeping track of Team Rocket, huh?" Misty asked Jordan, seeing her make another mark in her notebook.
"Yep. You know me well, Misty." said Jordan. "But you know, it's actually been a while since I've heard the original motto."
"Team Rocket!" shouted Ash.
"By now, you'd think you would hang it up!" said Misty.
"Give everyone's Pokémon back!" said Brock.
"Right now!" screamed Jordan as she sees Meeko and Phoenix reaching out for her.
"You maybe an original twerp, but you're certainly not the best." Jessie said to Brock.
"They're our Pokémon now, so give it a rest." said James.
"Some things will never change, right Jordan?" Ash asked his sister.
"You know it, Ash." said Jordan, taking out a Pokeball.
"'Kay, Lycanroc, I choose you!" said Ash, twisting his hat around like old times.
"Emma, I choose you!" shouted Jordan.
"Lycanroc!" said Lycanroc and Emma.
"Use Rock Throw!" shouted Ash.
"Lycanroc!" shouted Lycanroc, throwing rocks from its tail.
"Rock my Robo-Meowth's Mash!" said Meowth, punching Lycanroc's Rock Throw and causing it to return fire.
"Emma, use Rock Slide!" shouted Jordan.
"Lycan!" growled Emma, creating large boulders and hurled them at the mechanical Meowth's feet.
"Hey, no fair!" shouted Meowth, making his robot dodge it.
"Just like old times! Crobat, GO!" shouted Brock.
"Ready, steady….come on out!" said Misty.
"Crobat!" screeched Crobat.
"Hiyah!" said Staryu.
"Now, Lycanroc, Accelerock!" shouted Ash and Lycanroc quickly hits Robo-Meowth's chest.
"Emma, Thunder Punch!" shouted Jordan and Emma builds up electricity in her arm, then punches the chest as well.
"The NERVE!" shouted Meowth. "I'll teach you twerps a lesson."
"Now, Crobat! Supersonic!" shouted Brock.
"Cro!" screeched Crobat, sending out Supersonic and stopping Robo-Meowth from punching Lycanroc and Emma.
"My paw won't work! What a jerk!" screamed Meowth.
"Staryu, use Bubble Beam!" shouted Misty.
"Hiyah!" shouted Staryu, sending Bubble Beam at Robo Meowth as it starts to electrify and explode, freeing Pikachu and the others.
"Pikachu!" shouted Ash as Pikachu landed in his arms.
"Pika! Pika!" squealed Pikachu.
"Meeko! Phoenix!" shouted Jordan as Meeko and Phoenix landed in her arms.
"Lucario! Arcanine!" squealed Meeko and Phoenix as Jordan swings them both around. Parts of Robo Meowth fell to the ground. "Didn't feel a thing." said Team Rocket as they exited the robot head.
"Huh?"
"Rise and shine, Mimikyu!" shouted Jessie.
"Mimikyu!" hissed Mimikyu.
"Bulbasaur?" Bulbasaur asked as it hears something coming down from a plane overhead. Black smoke occurred as a large something landed behind Team Rocket. Low and behold, there was Bewear, holding Team Rocket in its arms.
"Uh…." said the others.
"And it's lift off with a new blast!" shouted Team Rocket as Bewear takes them away.
"That was new for the Kanto region." said Jordan.
"Anybody know what just happened?" asked Misty.
"Don't look at me." said Brock.
"Well….." said Jordan, about to explain to Misty and Brock when something popped out of the wreckage.
"Huh?" they said and out of the wreckage was Jigglypuff.
"Jigglypuff. Jigglypuff." said Jigglypuff.
"Cutie." squealed Mallow.
"Jigglypuff! Live and in person." said Lillie.
"What is it holding?" asked Lana.
"It can't be." gasped Jordan.
"Cario!" said Meeko, grabbing Jordan's waist.
"Nine!" said Phoenix, shaking his head.
"Is it that Jigglypuff?" asked a scared Ash.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"This is AWFUL!" shouted Brock.
"If it sings, you'll fall asleep." said Misty.
"Jigglypuff, Jiggly….puff. Jigglypuff, Jiggly….puff." sang Jigglypuff as everyone starts to fall asleep. Once it stopped singing, Jigglypuff looked at its audience to see that they asleep.
"Jiggly?" asked Jigglypuff, seeing everyone on the ground and blows up its body in anger. "Puff!" In frustration, Jigglypuff took off the cap to its microphone and starts drawing on everyone's faces.
As the sun sets in the Kanto region, everyone starts laughing at Jigglypuff's artwork on their faces. "Whats with your face?" asked Mallow.
"Whats with your face?" Ash asked.
"You all look ridiculous." said Sophocles.
"Really. I wouldn't talk if I were you." Kiawe warned.
"I swear, I'm buying some heavy-duty ear plugs for us." said Jordan.
"Lucario!" said Meeko.
"Arcanine!" said Phoenix.
"Is my face funny too?" asked Lillie.
"Yeah, yeah." Lana said, nodding.
"Ash! Jordan!" Delia called out.
"Hey, mom!" said brother and sister.
"Everything's all set for the welcoming party!" said Delia, waving to them.
"To reunions!" said Professor Oak.
"To reunions!" everyone repeated as they sipped their drinks.
"Mime, Mime." said Mr. Mime as he cooked the food.
"Pikachu. Lucario. Arcanine." said Pikachu, Meeko and Phoenix as they and the others ate.
"Steenee." said Steenee she takes a bite that Mallow gave her. Lana handed Popplio a fish stick before eating one herself.
"Welcome to Pallet town, dears." said Delia as she held Litten in her arms. "I hope you'll have time to see everything."
"We will." said Kiawe and Sophocles.
"If you want to see a complete mess, you should see Ash's room." Delia whispered to Kiawe.
"Hey, mom, stop it!" said Ash in embarrassment.
"Told you that your room is a mess." said Jordan.
"Jordan!" shouted Ash.
"I can't find the last Pokémon to complete my Pokémon database." said Rotom. "Frustrating!"
"Whats wrong, Rotom?" Ash asked. "Where have you been?"
"On a mission to complete my Kanto Pokedex." said Rotom.
"Mew!" said Mew, hiding behind a tree.
"Lucar!" said Meeko, sensing Mew in the trees behind them and looked over before it flew away.
"Arca?" asked Phoenix and Meeko nodded.
"I'd like to talk a little but about our plans for tomorrow." said Kukui.
"Awesome! What are we doing?" asked Ash.
"We're going to Quick Attack our way to battle at the Cerulean Gym!" replied Kukui.
Everyone gasped as they turned to face Misty and Brock who chuckled and giggled at the group. "Awesome!" said Jordan when out of nowhere, a couple of cries were heard above them.
"What the….?" asked Kukui. "Whats that sound?"
"I know exactly who that is." said Jordan.
"Is that…..?" Misty asked.
"No way." said Brock as he and Misty looked at the youngest Ketchum with a knowing smile on their faces.
"It is." said Ash as both Pokémon in question landed on top of Professor Oak's lab.
"I've been wondering where you were." said Jordan, reaching out to both Pokémon as it flies down to her. "How have you been?"
"She…she….that's…." Rotom stuttered, watching Jordan pet each Legendary Pokémon from both the Kanto and Johto regions as it nudges the sides of her head.
"You grew a little bigger since I saw you last." said Jordan, as the Legendary Johto Pokémon squeals in reply while the Kanto Legendary Pokémon coos.
"That's Lugia and Articuno!" said a shocked Professor Kukui and Lana's eyes went wide.
"You have a Lugia?!" asked a shocked Lana. "And that's an Articuno."
"This is my surprise to you, Lana. I hope you like it." said Jordan as the others gathered round.
"Wow!" said Lana, as she tentatively walks up to Lugia and Articuno, who both looked at Lana curiously.
"It's okay, Lana. Lugia won't hurt you." said Jordan as Lugia bows its head to Lana while Skylar the Articuno looks over at Professor Kukui.
"Lugia, the Diving Pokémon. A Psychic and Flying type." said Rotom, scanning Lugia. "It is said to be the guardian of the seas. It is rumored to have been seen on the night of a storm. It has an incredible ability to calm raging storms."
"Articuno, the Freeze Pokémon. An Ice and Flying type. Nickname: Skylar." Rotom said, scanning Skylar. "Articuno is a legendary bird Pokémon that can control ice. The flapping of its wings chills the air. As a result, it is said that when this Pokémon flies, snow will fall."
"You're so cute." Lana said to Lugia, who then squeals as it gently butts its head against her hand. "This is the best surprise ever! Thanks, Jordan."
"I can tell that Skylar and Lugia are special." said Kukui.
The next day, they all gathered on the bus and headed to the Cerulean Gym in Cerulean City. "There it is. Just ahead." said Kukui.
"Pika!" said Pikachu as he looked out the window.
"Lucar." said Meeko, looking over the seats.
"Arcanine!" said Phoenix, who was going along for the ride.
"That's the Cerulean Gym?" asked Mallow.
"Yup. That's it." said Misty.
"We're going to battle there…." said Kiawe.
"Hm." said Mallow.
"I'm getting fired up!" said Ash.
"I can't wait!" said Jordan.
Narrator: After learning about and playing with so many Pokémon in the Kanto Region, our heroes are about to compete in a Gym battle against Misty and Brock….
Jordan: They're going to learn what Ash has to go through to get in the Pokémon league.
Meeko: Lucario.
Narrator: That's right, as the journey continues.
