Shoutouts:
Narrator: Our heroes are away from Alola to spend time in and learn about, the Kanto Region. Today? Pokémon battles at the Cerulean Gym.
Jordan: Misty and her sisters redid the entire Gym. I….I don't know what to say…..
Narrator: So what do you think, Jordan?
Jordan: I love it!
Meeko: Lucario!
"Oh, yeah!" exclaimed Ash.
"It's….it's better than ever!" said Jordan. The group headed inside the Gym and to the battlefield, everyone was in shock.
"Hey, look! Something's over there!" said Sophocles, spotting a familiar Pokémon in the center of the Gym.
"Psy." said Psyduck, turning around to the group.
"All right! Hey, it's Psyduck!" said Ash and Jordan.
"So cute!" said Lana.
"Hey! Thanks for minding the store, Psyduck!" said Misty.
"Psy!" Psyduck replied.
"Welcome to the Cerulean Gym! My Gym!" said Misty.
"Psy!" said Psyduck, greeting the others.
"Pikachu! Lucario! Geodude!" said Pikachu, Meeko and Geodude.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu, hugging Psyduck.
"Geodude." said Geodude, giving Psyduck a high five.
"Lucario! Arcanine!" said Meeko and Phoenix, butting their heads against Psyduck.
"Yeah! It's been so long since I've felt like this!" exclaimed Ash. "I want to get started battling right now!"
"I want to have my first unofficial Gym battle right now!" Jordan exclaimed.
"Formal introduction time." said Kukui. "This is the leader of the Cerulean Gym and an expert in Water Type Pokémon. Misty."
"Nice to meet you all." said Misty.
"This is the former Pewter Gym leader and a rock type Pokémon expert. Its Brock." said Kukui.
"Hey there!" said Brock.
"These are the two you'll be battling. I want you all to feel the heat." Kukui explained. "It's like a blast burn."
"Is it just me, or am I seeing actual fire in his eyes?" asked Jordan as Phoenix tilted his head.
"Arca?" asked Phoenix.
"Cario….Cario." said Meeko.
"Pokémon Trainers in the Kanto region make their from Gym to Gym while battling their Gym Leaders." Kukui said to his students. "A trainer who wins the battle receives a Gym battle as proof of victory."
"The Cerulean Gym has the Cascade Badge." said Misty, showing off her Gym's badge.
"And this is proof of a victory at the Pewter Gym. The Boulder Badge." said Brock.
"Pretty, huh?" Lillie asked as the others gasped.
"Yeah." said Lana.
"You and Jordan won all the badges in the Kanto region, didn't you Ash?" Kiawe asked.
"Sure did." said Ash. "You can win eight badges, and I won them all!"
"I didn't battle any Gym Leaders at all because I'm two years younger than Ash." said Jordan.
"You didn't?" Kiawe asked her.
"Nope. He did let me go on his journey with him, though." said Jordan.
"In my case, I gave him a badge out of pity." said Misty.
"Say, that story has a familiar ring…." said Brock.
"And now, after all this time, it's finally coming back to bite you." Jordan teased her brother.
"Don't you dare, Jordan." he tells her.
"Hey Ash. Whats that supposed to mean?" asked Kiawe as Ash laughs nervously, taking a step back, bringing Jordan and her Pokémon back with him.
"And after you collected all eight badges, you compete in the Pokémon League." said Ash.
"The Pokémon League?" asked Mallow.
"It's a big tournament where the best trainers compete against each other." explained Ash.
"Pika?" Pikachu questioned Ash.
"Think of it like this, you guys: the Island Kahunas are like the Gym leaders here in Kanto and instead of getting a Z-Ring or a Z-Crystal, you would get a badge from that Island Kahuna. The four islands would have a big tournament of the best trainers in Alola, and you would have to show prove of those badges in order to participate in the Pokémon League." Jordan explained to Mallow and Kiawe.
"Oh…" said Mallow.
"That makes sense." said Kiawe.
"So why don't we start off with some practice battles against Misty and Brock?" asked Kukui. "Which one of you lucky trainers is up first?"
"Me?" said the kids, raising their hands. Brock and Misty smiled that Jordan wanted to join in, then shared a look between them.
"I want to battle with Misty." said Lana.
"Okay! You're in!" said Misty.
"Please? One more?" asked Mallow.
"I'd rather battle against Brock." said Sophocles.
"Me, too!" said Kiawe.
"Me, I want to battle both of them!" said Ash.
"Oh, dear. How do I choose?" asked Lillie.
"Hm…." said Jordan, looking between Misty and Brock, trying to decide.
"Please don't worry." Misty said to Lillie, seeing the look on her face. "It'll be fine."
First battle up was Mallow and Lana versus Misty. "Now! Ready to go?" Misty asked them.
"Right!" said Mallow and Lana.
"Hey, guys! Misty may not look it, but she's tough!" Ash called out. "Give it all you got!"
"What do you mean by that, Ash?" asked Misty. "I look tough enough. Okay gang, let's see what you can do."
"I'll make sure to record all the action." said Rotom.
"I'm all set to go." said Mallow. "All right, Steenee, Magical Leaf!"
"Steenee!" said Steenee, waving her arms in a circle and sends out glowing green leaves, surrounding Psyduck.
"Popplio, use Bubble Beam!" said Lana and Popplio sends Bubble Beam at Psyduck, causing a small explosion and knocks it back. "All right."
"I think we won!" said Mallow as Psyduck fails its arms.
"Psyduck, use Water Gun!" said Misty.
"Psyduck!" shouted Psyduck and aims its water gun at Popplio, who then created a balloon to catch the water.
"You're kidding." said Misty, shocked.
"Popplio, that was great." said Lana.
"Pop, Pop." said Popplio, clapping as she was proud of herself as well.
"It sucked in all the water!" said Sophocles.
"Lana, that was pretty creative!" said Misty. "So what do you do with it, huh?"
"Balloon, launch!" said Lana and Popplio sends it towards Psyduck, causing the balloon to capture the duck inside.
"When Lana and Popplio start their balloon work, they're amazing!" said Mallow.
"Yeah, they are. But you should know Psyduck is at its best when the chips are down." said Misty. "Use Confusion!"
"Psy-yi-yi!" said Psyduck, struggling against the water in the balloon.
"Psyduck?" asked Misty.
"Pika?" asked Pikachu.
"Lucario." sighed Meeko.
"Arca, Arcanine." said Phoenix with his head down.
"Why isn't Psyduck using the move?" asked Rotom.
"Because Misty's Psyduck is kind of a flake." said Ash.
"I think Psyduck will have a huge headache by the time it gets dropped." said Jordan as she and Ash laughed.
"Use Magical Leaf one more time." shouted Mallow.
"Steenee!" shouted Steenee, sending Magical Leaf towards the water-filled balloon, popping it and causing Psyduck to fall painfully on its head.
"Sorry about that." said Mallow.
"That's gonna leave a mark." said Lana.
"Called it." said Ash, high-fiving his sister.
"Psyduck will be fine. No worries." said Misty.
"Psy!" said a pained Psyduck, grabbing its head.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Lucari!" said Meeko.
"Canine." said Phoenix.
"Here it comes…." said Misty.
"Psy….." said Psyduck, annoyed.
"Hey, what's happening now?" asked Mallow.
"Psy-yi-yi!" shouted Psyduck as it used confusion on Steenee and Popplio, lifting them up in the air.
"That's confusion? Why use it now?" asked Sophocles.
"Yeah. That's enough. Great." said Misty as Psyduck looked up at her.
"Psy."
"It's time to put Steenee and Popplio down now." Misty said to Psyduck.
"Psy." said Psyduck, embarrassed as it sets them down.
"And that's that. They're done." said Kukui.
"I always knew Misty and Psyduck made a great team." said Ash.
"Well…..not at first but now they do." said Jordan.
"You two have shown amazing battle instincts!" said Misty.
"Really? Oh, go on…" said Mallow.
"I'm more confident already." said Lana. Just then, Psyduck finally feels the pain on its head. "Psyduck!" groaned Psyduck, putting its hands to its head.
"Hey! Whats going on?" asked Mallow.
"Uh…I think it's just beginning to feel the lump on its head from when it fell." said Misty.
"Such slow reaction time." said Rotom.
"I don't blame you, Rotom." said Jordan.
"But Psyduck's so cute." said Lana.
"The cutest." said Misty as she hugs Psyduck. "Psyduck is such a sweetheart."
"Now! Time for our battle!" said Brock as it was him against Lillie and Sophocles.
"Geodude." Geodude challenged Lillie and Sophocles.
"Right! Togedemaru! Zing Zap, let's go!" shouted Sophocles.
"Toge…..maru!" shouted Togedemaru as she uses electricity and aims herself at Geodude, knocking it back slightly. "Maru!" Togedemaru looked up to see that she didn't do any damage on Geodude. "Geodude." said Geodude, showing off its rock muscles.
"But how? It didn't do a thing!" said Sophocles, seeing Geodude still standing.
"You're right." said Lillie.
"Why not?" asked Sophocles. "Electric type moves should have some effect! Geodude's a Rock and Electric type."
"But…I think you're talking about an Alolan Geodude." said Brock. "The one from Kanto is a Rock and Ground Type. Electric type moves have no effect."
"Of course! Regional variants!" screeched Sophocles. "How could I have miscalculated?"
"Sophocles, you just leave everything to us." Lillie said. "Snowy, Powder Snow."
"Vulpix!" squealed Snowy as she releases Powder Snow on Geodude.
"Geodude! Gyro Ball!" shouted Brock.
"Geodude!" shouted Geodude as its hands glowed white and spins at high speed, deflecting Powder Snow.
"Yeah! Awesome!" said Ash and Jordan.
"Dude." said a proud Geodude.
"But, Gyro Ball's an attack move, isn't it?" Sophocles asked.
"It can be used this way, depending on how you train with it." said Brock.
"Ha! Geodude." said Geodude.
"I've never read about that." said Lillie. "Gym Leaders! They're the best!"
"Brock's no pushover." said Sophocles.
"I once had this challenger and his sibling. During our battle, he taught me to think outside of the box." said Brock as he looked up at Ash and Jordan who were tickling their Pokémon. "His sibling would sometimes follow in his thinking whenever she battled."
"Pikachu! Lucario!" said Pikachu and Meeko as they both fell over.
"Huh?" asked Ash.
"Sorry, Brock I wasn't paying attention." said Jordan.
"I hope you all agree: Pokémon battling is amazing!" said Professor Kukui as he walked up behind Lillie and Sophocles. "With endless possibilities."
"Right!" said the ones who battled.
"With all the Pokémon types, moves, and training, the kinds of battles a trainer can have are completely limitless." said Kukui.
"You also have to know your opponent's Pokémon well….to avoid the silly mistake I just made." said Sophocles.
"Ma!"
"So! Ash, Jordan and Kiawe, you're next!" Kukui said as he faced the three.
"Professor! I want to take Brock." said Kiawe, standing up. "In a no-holds-barred battle."
"Us, too! But with Misty…." said Ash and Jordan, looking at each other.
"Think you'll win? That'll be the day…." said Misty.
"You may regret this, Kiawe." said Brock.
"That was an eerie rhyme." said Jordan, then looks down at Phoenix and Meeko. "But it was a good one though."
"Lucar! Arca!" said Meeko and Phoenix.
"Well. An interesting turn of events." said Kukui. "Time for some no-holds-barred battling. First up, Kiawe versus Brock."
"Then I'll be the referee." said Misty. "This battle is one on one! The battle will be over when either side's Pokémon is unable to continue!"
"I warn you, I'm confident about my strength." said Kiawe.
"Happy to hear that! What a Gym Leader looks for is how Trainer and Pokémon combine strengths!" said Brock. "That's even more important than scoring a win."
"Which raises my confidence even more." replied Kiawe. "Turtonator, let's go!"
"Turta!" bellowed Turtonator.
"Here's my partner. Come out!" said Brock and out of its Pokeball, appeared Steelix.
"Steel!" roared Steelix.
"It's so big!" said Kiawe, a little frightened.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Cario." said Meeko.
"Arc!" howled Meeko.
"It's Steelix!" said Ash.
"Steelix!" shouted Jordan with her arms opened wide, causing the Pokémon to look at her with a smile.
"Steelix, the iron snake Pokémon. A Steel and Ground type." said Rotom. "Heat from deep underground strengths its hide, and the pressure gives its body a toughness harder than metal."
"Maro." said Marowak, impressed by Steelix.
"Let's see…." said Sophocles, looking at his phone. "Steel types are weak against fire types, which means….Turtonator has the advantage."
"But wait. Fire types are weak against Ground type moves, so you could also say Steelix has the advantage." said Lillie.
"Then that means….they're evenly matched up!" said Sophocles.
"Brock! Kiawe! I wanna see a great battle out there!" shouted Ash before being pulled down by his sister.
"Sit down before you hurt yourself with excitement." said Jordan.
"All right. Battle begin!" said Misty.
"Turtonator, now! Use Flamethrower!" shouted Kiawe.
"Turt….nator!" bellowed Turtonator, firing Flamethrower at Steelix.
"Steelix, use Gyro Ball!" shouted Brock as glowing rings appeared and fought off Flamethrower.
"What?" asked Kiawe, not believing his eyes.
"Pika! Lucar! Arcanine!" said Pikachu, Meeko and Phoenix.
"More thing out of the box." said Brock. "All right, Steelix, Bind, let's go!" Steelix roared as it binds Turtonator with its body. "Turta." said Turtonator in pain.
"Turtonator, Shell Trap!" shouted Kiawe.
"Na….tor!" bellowed Turtonator as an explosion of yellow light caused Steelix to roar back in pain. "Turtonator!" Dust form as Steelix crashed into a rock pillar. "Hey! Not bad!" said Brock as the dirt settled.
"Not so bad yourself." said Kiawe. "Dragon Tail!"
"Turta." said Turtonator as its tail glows yellow, jumps up and spins towards Steelix.
"Use Dig!" Brock said to Steelix who then roared as it digs underground.
"Turtonator! Look out below!" shouted Kiawe.
"Turta?" questioned Turtonator as Steelix pops up from underground and slaps Turtonator to the ground.
"Awesome move…" said Ash as Jordan nodded.
"Pika…."
"Lucari…."
"Nine…."
Lana, Mallow and Lillie gasped at what happened to Turtonator. "Steel." growled Steelix in confidence.
"Turta." said Turtonator.
"I can't win this with a prolonged battle, so let's finish this off quickly with a Z-Move." Kiawe said.
"All right!" said Brock. "From what I hear, Z-Moves make use of all your power. Then we'll counter that with all of our power! I'm not called Brock the Rock for nothing, you know!"
"Since when do people call him that? I don't ever remember calling him that, do you?" Jordan asked Ash, who shrugged at her as Brock takes off his vest and shirt.
"Say what?" asked a shocked Kiawe as Ash and Jordan gasped.
"Time for….Mega Evolution!" shouted Brock as his Mega stone glowed and Steelix roared even louder as floating pieces of steel surrounded parts of its body.
"Mega Evolution?" asked Kiawe as he sees Mega Steelix.
"Pika! Lucar!" said Pikachu and Meeko.
"It's Mega Steelix!" said Ash.
"Awesome!" said Jordan.
"Brand new data!" Rotom exclaimed.
"But how?" asked Mallow. "Steelix got so much bigger."
"That's amazing." said Lana.
"That's Mega Evolution?" asked Sophocles.
"Correct." said Kukui. "Mega Evolution is a phenomenon used in battle when a Pokémon and its trainer's hearts join as one. It's quite a remarkable thing to see."
"I've heard about Z-Moves. Show me one." Brock tells Kiawe.
"Right! And we'll win with it. Turtonator, let's go!" said Kiawe, starting his Z-Move with Turtonator.
"Turta!"
"The zenith of my mind, body, and spirit!" said Kiawe, coming his energy with Turtonator. "Become a raging fire and burn! Inferno Overdrive!"
"Turtonator!" bellowed Turtonator, sending Inferno Overdrive directly at Mega Steelix.
"What happened?" asked Kiawe after the blast had cleared and Steelix looked directly at Turtonator. "It's….not possible."
"How could it withstand a Z-Move?" asked a shocked Ash as Jordan's jaw dropped.
"That Z-Move had an incredible amount of power!" said Brock as steam came out of Mega Steelix's mouth. "It definitely didn't affect Mega Steelix. But Turtonator wasn't able to go that one last step. Use Stone Edge!" Mega Steelix roared as it slammed to the ground, bringing blue stones to the surface.
"Turtonator! Use Dragon Tail!" shouted Kiawe. Turtonator breaks through Stone Edge but caused a huge explosion. "Turtonator!" Kiawe cried out.
"Pika!" Pikachu said worriedly.
"Lucario!" cried Meeko.
"Arca!" growled Phoenix. As the smoke cleared, out on the gym floor was Turtonator, fainted from battle. "Turtonator is unable to battle. So Steelix wins!" said Misty.
"Kiawe lost!" said Mallow.
"And all that after Kiawe and Turtonator worked so hard…." said Lillie.
"Gym leaders are strong…" said Lana.
"This data will never EVER be deleted." said Rotom. Seconds later, Steelix went back to its original form. "What was that?" asked Sophocles as Steelix heads towards Jordan.
"After a battle, Mega evolved Pokémon return to normal." explained Kukui as Jordan praised Steelix.
"That was great work, Steelix! Thanks!" said Brock as he puts his shirt and vest back on, then returns Steelix back to its Pokeball.
"Turtonator, you okay?" Kiawe asked, rubbing its head.
"Turto…." Turtonator said weakly when suddenly an angry Marowak headbutts it and Kiawe. "Turto!"
"Mar!" Marowak said angrily as it stomps its foot. "Maro, Maro, Wak, Wak!"
"Marowak! I know how frustrating losing can be, but you should praise them for their work." said Brock.
"Maro!" said Marowak, looking away from Turtonator and Kiawe, as though saying, 'I will when they win.'.
"What did you think?" Kukui asked the others. "Talk to me."
"I loved it. I was on the edge of my seat." said Lillie.
"Yeah, my heart's still racing!" said Sophocles.
"Mine too! Pokémon battles are the best!" said Ash.
"Yeah." said Jordan, getting up from her seat.
"Arca! Nine! Nine!" Phoenix said, wishing Jordan luck.
"Misty, don't forget, Jordan and I are next." said Ash as he and Jordan were finally on the Gym battlefield.
"Pika! Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Lucario!" said Meeko.
"Who, me? Never!" said Misty, walking at the other end of the field. "You're both next! Promise!"
"Whoa…" said Ash as Misty changes the field and fills it up with water. "That's so awesome! A water type Pokémon battlefield!"
"I love this upgrade!" said Jordan.
"Glad you think so, Jordan." said Misty.
"When you say Cerulean Gym, it's gotta be water!" said both brother and sister as Misty laughs at them.
"The field changes with whatever Pokémon are battling on it!" said Misty.
"Does Ash and Jordan realize that they're both at a huge disadvantage?" Kiawe asked Sophocles.
"And where are their Pokémon going to stand." said Sophocles.
"We got this covered, Sophocles!" said Ash as Jordan nodded. "Pikachu, you're up!"
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu.
"Meeko, you too!" said Jordan.
"Lucario!" said Meeko, joining her honorary brother.
"Pika, Pika!" said Pikachu as he and Meeko challenged Misty.
"I figured it would be Pikachu and Meeko." said Misty.
"Yeah! You know us…." said Ash.
"You know us really well." added Jordan.
"Since Misty uses water types, an electric type like Pikachu has the advantage." said Rotom.
"Misty versus Ash and Jordan!" said Brock as he became the referee. "The rules remain the same with a slight difference. Two on one."
"Ash, Jordan, are you both sure you're ready?" Misty asked.
"Ready as I'll ever be!" said Jordan, smiling at her.
"Yup." said Ash.
"Now, the other internationally known beauty!" said Misty, taking out a Pokeball. "Go, my one and only!" Out of its Pokeball, Gyarados appeared, roaring for battle. "Pika!" said a shocked Pikachu as he and Meeko held onto each other for dear life.
"It's Gyarados." said Ash.
"Yes, Gyarados! The Atrocious Pokémon. A water and flying type." said Rotom. "Rumors exist of a town that made Gyarados angry. That town was burned to the ground in one night, leaving no trace!"
"Doesn't Jordan have a Gyarados?" asked Mallow.
"She does." said Lana.
"It's true, I do have a Gyarados. But my Gyarados is a little different than the one Misty has." said Jordan.
"Gyarados versus Pikachu and Meeko! Begin!" shouted Brock.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" shouted Ash.
"Pika! Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu, jumping into the air and releases Thunderbolt.
"Meeko! Bone Rush!" shouted Jordan.
"Cario! Lucario!" shouted Meeko, following Pikachu, creating a bone as starts to rush towards Gyarados.
"All right, Hydro Pump!" shouted Misty and Gyarados shoots water at Pikachu and Meeko. "See that! Water type moves can stop Electric types and cancels Ground Types!"
"Does not compute!" said Rotom.
"Use Quick Attack!" shouted Ash and Jordan.
"Pika! Lucar!" shouted Pikachu and Meeko as they went in different directions around Gyarados and knocked it back into the water.
"Follow it with Electro Ball!" shouted Ash as Pikachu builds up an electric ball.
"Use Vacuum Wave!" shouted Jordan.
"Cario!" shouted Meeko as she starts to create a vacuum in her hand.
"Rain Dance, let's go!" shouted Misty as Gyarados roars while clouds gathered inside the gym.
"Huh." said Kukui as he and the others looked up.
"Uh…." said Kiawe.
"It's raining." said Sophocles.
"But….how can it rain in here?" asked Mallow as she pets Phoenix who was sitting next to her.
"But it feels so good." said Lana as Popplio claps her fins.
"Pika?" asked Pikachu as Meeko looks at him.
"Lucario…" said Meeko, trying to figure out what to do next.
"Don't worry, Pikachu and Meeko." said Ash as both Pokémon jumped into the air, releasing their attacks.
"Gyarados, use Hurricane!" shouted Misty. Gyarados roars as it uses Hurricane to stop Electro Ball and Vacuum Wave. "Pika! Lucario!" screamed Pikachu and Meeko.
"Arcanine!" shouted Phoenix.
"Oh, wow." said Sophocles.
"That sure packed a lot of power." said Kiawe.
"How about that, Ash and Jordan?" asked Misty. "There's nowhere for the two of you to run…"
"Using Hurricane in the rain was a good move for Misty." said Professor Kukui. "It even canceled out both an Electric type and Fighting type moves that could have caused damaged."
Gyarados roared for more. "So that's Misty's plan to defeat Pikachu and Meeko…" he then added.
"Pikachu, are you okay?" asked Ash.
"Pika!" Pikachu replied.
"How about you, Meeko?" asked Jordan.
"Lucari!" replied Meeko.
"Ash, Jordan!" Misty called out and shows them that she had a mega stone as well. "Feast your eyes! Looks great on me, don't you think?"
"You got one, too?!" asked the siblings.
"Strong, valiant, and powerful! And now, my beautiful blue sweetheart! Mega Evolve!" shouted Misty as Gyarados mega evolves with its side fins bigger than before.
"Ashy….." said Jordan as Mega Gyarados splashes back into the water.
"Yeah?" he asked.
"Is it okay to say that I'm scared of Misty's Gyarados now?" she asked.
"Yes….yes it is." said Ash.
"Pika." Pikachu said, determined.
"Hey, Misty, this is fun!" said Ash as he fixes his hat.
"Sure it! Now use Hydro Pump!" said Misty and Gyarados goes in for round 2 with its Hydro Pump. Gyarados roared as its cheeks filled up with water, then aims its Hydro Pump at Pikachu and Meeko, who then dodges out of the way before being trapped and thrown into the water.
"You're not getting away! Use Crunch!" shouted Misty as Gyarados dives into the water to grab both Pokémon. Pikachu and Meeko swam from Gyarados towards the rocks, causing Mega Gyarados to crash its head. "Pikachu, now use Iron Tail!" shouted Ash.
"It won't work from that posture." said Sophocles.
"Meeko, use Double Team!" said Jordan.
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu as his tail becomes iron.
"Cario!" cried Meeko, jumping into the air, creating several illusions of herself. Gyarados looks at Meeko as Pikachu runs on the rock platform around it. "Don't let Meeko distract you!" shouted Misty.
"Now jump up on Gyarados." said Ash as Pikachu does so when Gyarados starts to crush the rocks. "Quick, use Iron Tail!"
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu as his Iron Tail made contact with Gyarados' head, causing it to howl in pain.
"Look at that! A direct hit!" said Mallow as Gyarados went down.
"You four were always good." said Misty.
"Pika!" said Pikachu as Meeko jumps out of the water.
"Lucar! Lucario!" said Meeko.
"Here it comes! One more time." said Ash.
"Meeko dodge it!" said Jordan.
"Hurricane, go!" shouted Misty. Water flowed from the Gym floor, trapping Meeko and Pikachu inside. "Pika! Lucario!" said Pikachu and Meeko as water surrounded them when Gyarados roared its way out of the water. "Use Thunderbolt!" shouted Ash.
Pikachu pointed to the water, silently asking Meeko to quickly dive in while he used Thunderbolt. Once she was in the water, Pikachu squeezed his cheeks and released his electricity. "Pika?" asked Pikachu as Meeko came back up from diving.
"That's a Rain Dance and Hurricane combination." Misty explained. "Not a single challenger in my gym has ever broken through it."
"That was nice of you to let us know. Thanks, Misty." said Ash. "Breaking through stuff like that makes battling awesome!"
"What are you talking about?" asked Misty.
"Pikachu? Meeko? Can you hear us?" Ash called out to their Pokémon.
"Pika!"
"Cario!"
"Pikachu! Climb up the Hurricane!" shouted Ash.
"Meeko! You do the same!" shouted Jordan.
"Huh?" said Misty as everyone stood on the edge of their seats and Brock chuckled.
"Does not compute! Does not compute!" said Rotom, shaking.
"Use Quick Attack to climb up the electricity." shouted Ash.
"Meeko, you heard him!" shouted Jordan.
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu as he uses Quick Attack on the electricity.
"Lucar!" shouted Meeko as she uses her Quick Attack on the walls, quickly following Pikachu.
"Electric Platforms." said Kukui, shocked at what Ash and Jordan did and starts laughing.
"Pikachu! Lucario!" shouted Pikachu and Meeko.
"It worked!" exclaimed Sophocles and Kiawe, causing Misty to gasp.
"Uh-huh. That's Ash and Jordan for ya." said Brock.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Cario!" said Meeko.
"I think it's time for a Z-Move." said Ash.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Let's do it, Ash." said Jordan.
"Lucario!" said Meeko. Both brother and sister started their Z-Moves with Pikachu and Meeko. "Let's go, Pikachu!" shouted Ash.
"Let's go, Meeko!" shouted Jordan.
"Pika! Lucar!" said Pikachu and Meeko.
"All right! Here we go, with full power now!" shouted Ash and Jordan.
"Use Gigavolt Havoc!"
"Use All-Out Pummeling!"
"Pikachu! Lucario!" shouted both Pokémon as both attacks circled each other as they headed towards Gyarados. Gyarados was stunned as it went back to its original form. "Gyarados is unable to battle! Pikachu and Meeko are the winners!" said Brock.
"Way to go!" shouted Ash as Pikachu and Meeko headed towards him and Jordan. "Way to go, buddy."
"Pika! Pika!" said Pikachu.
"You did incredible, Meeko." said Jordan, hugging her Pokémon.
"Lucar! Lucar!" said Meeko.
"That was an amazing battle, Gyarados." said Misty as she returned it to its Pokeball. "I think you've gotten a bit stronger, Ash. You and Meeko did great, Jordan."
"Thanks Misty." said Jordan.
"Lucario!" Meeko called out.
"Gotta agree with you…." said Ash.
"But that little kid inside you still stays the same." teased Misty.
"Little kid inside me?!" Ash fired back.
"We're talking really little!" she tells him.
"Okay you two…" said Brock.
"Oh my god! Seriously?! Knock it off already. We don't need any more fights this episode." said Jordan.
"We don't need a another repeat of what Ash did to her bike." said Meeko.
"Like Wela Volcano." said Kiawe as Togedemaru and Charjabug sighed.
"Wasn't that amazing?" Mallow asked Lillie and Lana.
"Yes!" replied Lillie.
"Misty's skill with Water types is so inspiring." said Lana.
"I'm sure this battle conjured up all kinds of emotions." said Kukui. "Treasure this experience, and when you're back in Alola, keep it with you!" Back at the airport, Brock and Misty handed out their Gym badges. "Here! They're replicas, but they'll remind you of today." said Misty as she handed the girls the Cascade Badge.
"This is so great!" said Mallow, looking at her replica of the Cerulean Gym Badge. "Thanks a lot!"
"Thanks, Misty." said Jordan as she ran over to Brock to get a replica of the Boulder badge.
"Cerulean is the color of water! A beautiful blue." said Lana.
"It's like nothing I've ever seen before." said Lillie.
"I never would guess that it's a fake." said Sophocles as he looks at his replica of the Boulder Badge.
"I'll win a real battle the next time we meet." Kiawe said to Brock.
"You're welcome to try." said Brock.
"Misty, do you mind if we come back again?" Lana asked.
"Any time!" said Misty.
"I'm more confident than ever." said Kukui as he turns to face Professor Oak and his cousin. "We really need to make the Pokémon League part of Alola's great traditions."
"I think that's a marvelous idea." said Professor Oak.
"And some badges would fit the bill-Lillipup!" said Principal Oak.
"Ash? Jordan?" asked Brock as he and Misty walked up to the siblings.
"Huh?"
"That was a lot of fun!" said Brock.
"It really felt like old times." said Misty.
"And now it's your turn to come visit us in Alola!" said Ash.
"Pika." said Pikachu, hopping onto Ash's shoulder.
"You guys will love it." said Jordan.
"Lucar!" said Meeko she stood next to Jordan.
"Sure! Count on it, Ash and Jordan!" said Misty and Brock.
"Course we will." said Ash and Jordan.
"Arca! Arcanine!" said Phoenix.
"I'm going to miss you." said Jordan, rubbing Phoenix's sides.
"Lucario. Cario, Cari." Meeko said to Phoenix, describing Melemele Island to him.
"Arcanine!" he said, wagging his tail.
"I'll bring Phoenix when we visit Alola, Jordan." said Misty. "If you want me to."
"Thanks, Misty. It means a lot." said Jordan as Phoenix happily jumps around Misty.
Narrator: And so, the Pokémon school's field trip to the Kanto region has come to an end. But can Professor Kukui's dream of creating an Alolan Pokémon league become a reality?
Jordan: If you can dream it, like Ash does with his dream of becoming a Pokémon master…
Ash: Jordan!
Jordan, laughing: You can make that dream a reality.
Narrator: That's right, Jordan. Only the stars in the Alolan sky know for sure…
Meeko: Lucario!
On top of a plane, sitting and snoozing away was Jigglypuff who was now on its way to the Alola region. Below the plan and running on water was Bewear.
"Bummer! I thought we'd be back in Alola by now…" said Meowth.
"Patience, old chum." said James.
"We've been on the water for three whole days already." complained Jessie.
"Wobbuffet." said Wobbuffet.
"We're off with a new blast!" said Team Rocket.
Narrator:….as the journey continues.
