A/N: Little bit of spice at the end.

Luna and Hermione sat quietly in a waiting room. The stale smell of cleaning bleach felt overwhelming, the white walls were bright, and a few medical posters were on the wall, along with one wall that held brochures. Neville looked a bit nervous as he walked around picking up a brochure. He looked at it and put it back in its home.

Luna looked around the room and at some of the items. "Are you sure that Malfoy couldn't come?"

"He has things he has to take care of, I'm not at the top of his list and I guess neither is the baby," Hermione said as she used a pen to fill out paperwork. She pressed onto the paper leaving dents in the lettering. She was angry, but this was something that needed to be taken care of.

"Why did you want to go to a muggle clinic?" Luna asked curiously.

"I don't need people seeing me go in and wonder why I am seeking treatment." She spoke softly. They were the only ones in the room. Faint music could be heard above. "The less were noticed the better." Hermione looked over to Neville. She felt bad, she knew why he was quiet right now. She told him that he could wait outside for them, but he refused to be too far from her.

"Hmm, some of the things seem so stagnant," Luna spoke as she stood and stretched.

Hermione stood after she filled out the last line of her paperwork. She talked to the receptionist for a short moment before she stepped away the glass window sliding closed. "Neville, are you going to be ok waiting out here while Luna and I go to the back?"

Neville shook his head. "Would it be bad if I go with you?"

Hermione shook her head. "No, I mean. Some parts I want you to look away."

Luna chuckled. "It'll be good practice for when we go in the future."

Hermione looked at the two sadly as Luna joked with Neville. The future. She had no idea what the future held for any of them. Not with how Malfoy was working in the shadows. He didn't even want to take her to an appointment. He didn't want to go to a muggle hospital. He rather have a private doctor come out to see her. Hermione didn't want to. The two fought about what they wanted, and, in the end, Hermione told him she would go to the clinic first and then go from there. She wanted her experience of seeing her baby on an ultrasound, to have pictures, she wanted the same experience her mum had. Even though she wanted her mum she couldn't have her. The only thing she wanted was her partner with her, but she had the support of her friends.

But what did their future hold for all three of them? Luna and Neville were at the stage in the relationship where they were ready to move on to the next step after school ended in June. She didn't even know what Malfoy had planned for her and the baby. She didn't even know if would leave him. If he was going to continue on this path, she didn't want anything to do with what he was doing. She didn't want to risk the baby being used as a pawn. She debated even giving the baby up for adoption someplace she thought would be safest for the child. It would kill her knowing she might never get to see her child, but it was better than the fate that might be in store for them.

A door creaked open. "Granger, Hermione." A slender nurse with short brown hair called for her. The three looked over as they followed Hermione to the back room. Neville and Luna took a seat. Neville made sure to avert his eyes when Hermione changed into a gown. A major part of this appointment was to see how far along she was, and to find out when she might have gotten pregnant. She shouldn't have felt so much dread with this, but she couldn't help it. She thought maybe she would have been able to move past the attack, but now. This should have been a happy moment, but it wasn't.

The appointment felt fast as the nurse came in, took her vitals, drew some blood, and answered a few questions before the doctor came in. She was a short petite woman with short dark hair. Luna and Neville looked at the monitor as the doctor moved the ultrasound controller around her stomach. She pointed a few things out to her on the screen explaining a few things. But she felt her breath catch as she heard the doctor tell her where she was in her pregnancy. She talked about how she could be wrong, that once the appointments continue there would be a better read on the situation.

It had been almost ten weeks since the attack, the doctor told her she was between nine to eleven weeks along. She knew that she and Malfoy hadn't been intimate after the attack. She sat borderline on who the father was now.

"How are you feeling father-to-be?" The doctor spoke as she looked up to Neville smiling kindly.

Neville blinked as he stood playing with a plastic mold of a pelvic bone he found on the counter that was used for demonstrations. His face went pale when he realized the doctor was talking to him. He pointed his finger at himself. "No, no. I'm not the father, I'm just her friend, I am with her." He pointed to Luna who only chuckled at him being caught off guard.

Hermione couldn't help, but chuckle. As she looked back at the monitor. "I have a feeling the father might not be really involved in raising this child. I'm probably going to do this on my own."

"Do you need information on anything? Such as places where you can get help for anything? You might qualify for food boxes or aid." She spoke as she clicked a few things on the computer. A long sheet with five photos printed from the printer behind her. "We offer classes too for free."

"I'll take some information if that's ok, I might try to attend the classes though." She spoke softly as she felt the doctor wipe away the cold jelly from her stomach. "I'm in a good position where I'm eating well and have a good source of fruits and vegetables."

The doctor nodded. "Ok, just let us know, we suggest making an appointment in about a month to see how things are and to make sure you are out of the woods for your first trimester."

The doctor took the photos and handed them over to Hermione. "If I have any concerns, I can reach out to you here?"

The doctor nodded again. "Of course, just leave a message with reception when you call and I will contact you back when I get a chance, but if you think it's something that is life-threatening, please go straight to the hospital."

Hermione nodded as the doctor left. Neville looked away as Hermione took the gown off and changed back into her street clothes. Luna and Neville looked over the photos of the ultrasound a bit curious. Hermione sat back down on the examination table. The appointment, the ultrasound, and how far along she was, felt so overwhelming. This was the confirmation that she needed. There was a fifty-fifty that this child she was carrying was Malfoy's.

Hermione hung the photos of the ultrasound on her bedroom mirror to look at every day. She didn't know if Malfoy would be interested in a photo or not, but she was willing to give him a photo. She looked back to the crib and the changing table. He really had an ego when it came to showing he could easily provide for this child, but it wasn't fair to her that he went out and picked things out for the baby without her. She was hurt by the fact that he thought he could do everything and not include her.

She walked over to the crib and leaned in picking up the brown bear that Neville bought her. It wasn't big or flashy, it was even a hand-me-down bear, but it was special because Neville and Luna thought of her and how she felt with everything.

She heard the front door open from downstairs. She turned, letting the bear fall back into the crib. Malfoy wasn't expected home yet and he wouldn't use the front door. She grabbed her wand and watched her doorway as she heard two sets of footprints hurrying up the steps. Luna came in first, followed by Neville. "Hermione, the radio, did you listen to the radio at all since you've been home?" Neville spoke looking at her a bit nervous.

"No, I was going to when I made something to eat." She spoke a little cautious. "What happened?"

"The attack, the Death Eaters that probably attacked us in Godric's Hollow, they found them hanging outside of town under the bridge," Neville spoke as Luna headed back downstairs with Neville turned to follow and Hermione on their heels as Luna went to the radio in the kitchen, turning the radio on.

The radio was static before Neville smacked it, a few songs played before the news came back around. "Two known Death Eaters have been found hanging from the bridge leading into Godric's Hollow, no one knows how long the bodies have been there and who hung the bodies, but two individuals who had previously been Death Eaters have been found deceased."

Hermione was glued to the radio. It had to be the two that had tried to come after the three. The idea that the Death Eaters were found like that was a sign. "Malfoy did this." She whispered out.

Neville looked over to Hermione, "Are you sure? It could have been the order."

"It could have been, but that attack was more than two Death Eaters, they only found two hanging," Hermione spoke as she sat down at the kitchen table.

"He went after those in his command who attacked us?" Luna spoke as she looked at Neville.

"Probably not for us, but for Hermione and the baby." Neville swallowed. "I think he used those two as an example of what happens if you cross him."

Hermione was speechless, he didn't have to go after the men who had attacked her, he went after the two and made them an example. They didn't listen to his command and went to strike her because they saw the opportunity. She had to be a high target on the Death Eaters list due to her involvement with Harry and The Order. No one knew who they were yet, but they were identified on the radio due to their outfits and the serpent tattoo.

"Hermione, did you know about this at all?" Luna asked as she looked at her sadly.

Hermione shook her head as she looked back at her. "This isn't good, is it?"

Neville let out a sigh. "No, but if he's willing to kill those in his own group, this isn't a good sign."

"Hermione, we support you if you don't want to be here. I think, as much as he says he will protect you, I don't know if this is safe anymore." Luna spoke as she took a seat across from her. "H-He did make sure I had enough to eat when I was locked away at Malfoy Manor, but he couldn't keep me safe there either."

"It might be different with him being the leader though," Hermione said. She was trying to wrap her head around the radio broadcast. If Malfoy decided to finish school with her, they would be moving with her in her last trimester. They weren't going to be in the area or the dorms, he could easily move her away and out of sight with the child. She wouldn't be able to get a job in the ministry if he locked her away like a latchkey child.

Malfoy walked into the kitchen only to be startled to see Hermione still awake. Her hair was up in a messy bun and she wore a baggy light brown sweater and black shorts, she appeared to be comfortable in complete silence of the kitchen. "I heard they found two bodies hanging off the bridge leading into Godric's Hollow." She took a sip of her tea.

Malfoy folded his arms. "I don't have time for this Granger, I'm tired and just want to go to bed." He let out a sigh as he rubbed his temple.

"Were you involved with their deaths?" She asked.

"Why do you think I was involved with the two bodies hanging?" He asked. He didn't feel up to twenty questions.

"Because the two were known Death Eaters, but their names weren't disclosed." She looked at him sadly. "Were they the ones that attacked us?"

Malfoy scoffed. "I won't give you the satisfaction of telling you if they were or weren't. They disobeyed an order, and I made an example of them. Nothing more, nothing less."

Hermione shook her head as she stood up, taking her cup to the sink. "You should take the crib down along with the changing table. We won't be raising this child in this house. We should be out before I have the baby."

Malfoy frowned. "Where do you want to go Granger?"

Hermione turned and leaned back against the counter. "I don't know, but I'm thinking it might be best if I do this on my own. This, this whatever this is that you are doing is going to get me and this baby killed if I stay with you."

Malfoy moved in front of her lifting her head with his index finger. "You would take my child from me?"

"If it meant the child would be safe yes." She spoke as she looked into his cold grey eyes.

"You are getting bold aren't you?" He whispered.

Hermione wouldn't break eye contact with her. "I will protect this child Malfoy."

Malfoy moved his hand away as he placed his hands on her hands that rested on the wooden counter. "I will protect you and this child Granger."

Hermione swallowed. "There is a high possibility that this child isn't even yours. What then?"

Draco shook his head. "This child is mine regardless of what any test says. You are in my care and you are my possession."

Hermione frowned at his words. "Nothing more, nothing less to you?"

"I don't understand why you have to fight me when all I'm doing is trying to protect you, Granger." He growled as he lifted her and sat her on the counter.

She was startled when his hands moved from her hands to her waist as he picked her up. "What are you doing?"

He leaned into her left ear. "Still showing you that I still want you." He whispered out, he moved his hands to the edge of her sweater as he pulled it up over her head. She was wearing a tan tank top underneath.

Hermione blushed as she felt him pull her sweater off. She moved her arms wrapping them around her waist a bit nervously. "I don't think this is the time…"

Malfoy moved his hands down to the edge of her black shorts as he leaned in kissing the left side of her neck tenderly. He continued to move down her neck and to her collarbone. She shivered at the kisses he left compassionately down her neck. She tilted her neck to the side as he moved back up to her jawline. His hands teased her a bit as he reached down and unbuttoned her shorts tugging them down, she wiggled as he pulled her shorts down and off. He moved next to ear one last time. "This isn't the time for what…?" He teased.

"… We're fighting, I need, I need you to take me seriously." She spoke sliding back on the counter away from him a bit.

He only slid her back to him. "We can still be in a fight and still have fun." His fingers tugged at her black panties. "You can still tell me no."

Hermione looked at the other, her honey eyes watched for a moment. "You'll stop if I say no?"

"I will never hurt you like that monster did. I might be a cold-blooded Death Eater, but I respect my possessions. My loyalty is to you and this child. I will protect you and my child. I will never let another man touch you." Malfoy spoke as he claimed her pale lips with his. Her cheeks turned a brighter shade as her honey eyes closed when she leaned into his kiss. He moved his hands down to his pants. He unbuttoned and unzipped his pants. He let his pants slide down enough. His hands moved back to her panties as he moved enough to slide them down and off. His left hand trailed her inner thigh as slid his index and middle finger into her body.

She broke the kiss as she let out a low moan at his touch. Her head tilted back. He moved right back to her neck kissing her exposed skin. Her toes curled as her legs shivered. He smirked as he continued his pace exploring her body as he his other hand kept her in place. He waited until she was wet and pleased before he moved his hand away. He leaned in once more into her ear. "… You can always say no Granger…"

She opened her eyes halfway. "…. I'm still mad at you…" She whispered. "…We aren't done with this conversation…"

"Oh, I know. God do I know how stubborn you are you filthy mudblood." He smirked as he pulled her close and slid his member into her warm awaiting body. She held onto the counter as he held tightly to her hips. He was slow and careful with his pace, a lot different than he had in the past. Heavy breathing escaped her lips as she tilted her head back.

He enjoyed hearing her moan as he picked up his pace as he teased her. She felt his grip on her legs tighten. His breathing picked up as he forced his way into her making sure to make her moan when he drove into her hard and fast, then slow to tease her. He could feel himself growing close as he picked up his pace once more this time as he kept her in place. He held her tight as he thrusted into her one last time and pinned her to the edge of the counter. He rested his head on her chest. He could hear her heart racing within her chest.

She moved her hands away from the edge of the counter and slowly slid them through his platinum-blonde hair. Her breathing was still heavy as she looked up to the flat white ceiling. "… This isn't a healthy relationship is it…?" She whispered out.
