Atypical person getting reincarnated into a villainess who ended upinscrutably understands their fictional world's plot, mechanics or setting because of it. Most often, anordinary high-school studentoroffice peoplefrom Japan (or whatever country the story originates from) will die and reincarnate in the game world withmemories from their past-lifes (and knowledge of the fiction world they read back there and then), or gain a new set of memories or personality related to the past-life memories in some other way. With the knowledge of the fictional world and its routes imprinted by the past life into the new consciousness, the villainess tries to undo, avoid and/or get out of any doom flags in their way.

This is not that story. It's complicated. Not even the Brother Eye could think of it.

"Reijou! Congratulations on your graduation!"

Akuyaku Reijou (悪役令嬢), named as a joke of her mother's love of otome genre and its reincarnation twists, hails from modern Tokyo, Japan. She just graduated, and is on her way home to show good news for her parents. She also happened to have played through all of the remastered version of her mother's favorite game, and love to roleplay as both the heroine and the villainess for her friends.

When she got home, however, she saw something... really strange. Two people standing in front of her home: a man with long black hair and blue eyes, and a woman with a white long hair, cat ears and golden eyes.

"Hello. It seems you came across us." The man greeted. "I'm N. This woman is M. We're trying to contact with..."

"My parents? Look, I just graduated, and I want to show that to my parent." Reijou replied. "Can you both please step aside?"

"So you're their daughter." M noticed. "Very well, step in, just for once."

The three went into the house (an average Japanese house). Reijou then rushed and tells her that she has graduated, followed by N and M confronting the parents.

"So, apparently, you're the parents of a future villainess." N told the parents.

"Oh no, I named her as a villainess for my preference with otome games, and eventually some twists thereof." Reijou's mother replied. "Akuyaku Reijou. That's her name. She love otome games-"

"There's a problem about it." N revealed. "She could be reincarnated into a villainess. We have to make sure she's not hindering our top secret operation."

"What is it?" Reijou's father asked. "We hope it's not something that would hurt our dear child!"

"She must join our forces. Help us with our top secret operation." N told the parents. "Or the whole family will get killed."

The parents are shocked by the offer. They felt threatened by the absolute strangers. Reijou is eavesdropping the conversation, and is visibly horrified of it.

"The Beach, the ultimate utopia designed to conquer all realities." M revealed.

N then explained the rules: ""Rule 1: You must always obey my commands and everything I order all the associates. Rule 2: You are free to conquer, destroy or mutate any realities and any existence from any timeline as your wish. Rule 3: Death to all traitors."

"I object! We cannot turn our daughter into a criminal, let alone such insane person!" Reijou's parents objected.

"Very well... then you intended to betray us from the first place." N is disappointed. "We'll kill you both."

Reijou is horrified, and so she went up to her room and began to pack up her things, including some powerful things she's gifted as MacBook Pro with M2 Max (apparently her family saved enough money to buy some advanced electronics back when she first bought some) and Surface Pro 9 with SQ-chip (gifted to her on her last birthday), and took both her newest phone which has been for a while now: iPhone 14 Pro Max and Galaxy S23 Ultra. And a solar battery pack. These electronics and her clothed and personal things, even her favorite game (installed in the Surface) and some of her family's money all into her backpack, with barely enough storage to put everything in without breaking anything. She wear the backpack and went down just in time to see her family being threatened to die.

"M, kill those parents." N told M to murder both.

Reijou started recording the murder on the iPhone. She's completely powerless in the form she's currently in.

"N... I will." M took out her dual moonblades.

M simply decapitated both parents with the moonblades. Blood sprayed across the living room, and the parents' heads fell off. Reijou is instantly traumatized, and started crying.

N and M finally noticed, but they didn't rush to kill Reijou.

"We'll get her soon." N reassured. "Let her weep upon her parents'death, for this play is for the greater good. The Beach will savor, and we, as the new gods, will perfect existence itself for them!"

Reijou screams, stop the recording, and ran away. N and M then destroyed the house by setting it on fire.

Running through the evening and the city, Reijou eventually turned to police (who happened to be bored) and showed the dozen-seconds long footage to them. She then told everything she knew about N and M as she met them earlier today, and explained everything they said to her parents. The police didn't believe her at first, but seeing the girl depressed and the footage clearly showing the murder, the police went on to investigate.

By the time they've reached the house, it's burning and is about to collapse, with the corpses clearly inside. The firefighters and rescue forces were called in to retrieve the corpses, but a few brave ones who went in to retrieve just these died because the house collapsed midway through the mission, crushing them and on fire.

And so, the girl named after the villainess spent the rest of this day restless and depressed. In the next morning...

"I saw it on the news. Poor Rei..." A friend of her telling the rest of the friends about what happened last day.

"Oh no... She just graduated, and then two strangers mentioned about alternative worlds and killed her parents just to prove their point?" Another friend is upset. "And apparently, why would firefighters die also!?"

"It is suspected that the murders set the house on fire, and its collapse happened to have crushed those few brave rescuers." Yet another friend of Reijou is upset. "Like Rei-chan need that already."

Reijou sobs after what happened. She then hugged their friends for their care, and: "It's been so long, guys. Thank you for caring for me, being my best friends I ever had in my life. Bye, and see you when we cross paths. I love you. I miss you."

Akuyaku Reijou walks the street, looks down in sorrow while she walks. She texts on her Galaxy on all her remote friends about what happened, and then bid byes as well. She just wants to be free of her suffering, so she decides that her best bet is to find somewhere to play the game safely.

"Maybe if I get to the park..."

She did not notice that a truck is going on her way. It's apparently speeding, and is struggling to brake. She didn't notice until... it's too late.

"No...!"

And the truck crashed on her, knocking her (and her backpack) away. She ended up crashing into the pave, and bleed out, unconscious. Everyone around are shocked at the sight of the crash, and the driver of the truck is horrified.

Then Reijou is taken to hospital by the ambulance, but due to injury dealt by the crash and the blood loss (and fracture) that resulted, she is unable to be saved as alive. She is dead.

"We wasn't able to save her. She didn't make it. Lost too much blood. I'm sorry." Said the doctor.

All the friends took it very poorly, while N and M, who snuck in, are pleased (much to the doctor's horror).

"Well, guess sometimes thing works out by itself." M is satisfied.

"Now we can leave this world and report to the Beach." N suggested.

"Let's go, Noah." M left.

N left the hospital, and entered a rift alongside M, both happy now that Akuyaku Reijou is seemingly eliminated. However, they didn't know that...

In the game...

"M'lady, the subject has passed your test and convinced our troops." A butler reported to Princess Charlotte (the villainess) about Angelique (the heroine).

"Seems like those troops we sent aren't as competent as we hoped..." Charlotte sighed. "I want to surpass this commoner for all... maybe even get back to her for revenge against her family, for trying to defame my royal family!"

"The people outside of your kingdom has started that the girl's kindness and light magics won their heart..." The butler said. "Maybe you can put your dark magic to a good use."

"I'm busy, so I devise..." And the discussion went on. Eventually, the butler obeyed her command and left to do things needed to stop Angelique.

"Well, back to the foundation..." Charlotte left to see her now-sickly father, the King of the kingdom.

She entered the King's bedroom, only to find him missing. Instead, Reijou's backpack is in his place, packed with things she put in before her death.

"What is this? And where's my father?" Charlotte is worried.

"Lady Charlotte," A knight from her kingdom reported. "Your father is missing today. We're trying to find him- wait, what is this, M'lady?"

Confused, Charlotte opened the backpack, and found some slightly damaged electronics. This included Reijou's phones, which caught the princess off guard. Then the iPhone activated its alway-on display.

"Is it... magic? What magic is this..." Charlotte saw the display.

The knight took the Samsung phone and is absolutely baffled. He took its S Pen, and saw it to be eerily similar to some blocky quill (a.k.a. pen) of sorts. Charlotte took out everything inside the backpack, catching the electronics Reijou packed the day before her death.

"Some of these... magic from nowhere?" Charlotte examined the Macbook. "It... It actually opened."

With no idea of the electronics, the princess stumbled with them. But then again, the iPhone actually registered her face and matched, so it unlocked quickly, showing Charlotte (a model of her face, to be specific) is somehow used as a dummy for face unlock.

And once it's unlocked, she suddenly got a headache. "Argh!"

"M'lady!"

"What's... No, it can't be...!" Charlotte passed out.

The knight then reported about Charlotte's trouble and the missing King, stating that they're taking care of the former (formalities and all as well) and trying to find the latter. The people of the infamous kingdom is understandably upset.

Later, Charlotte woke up overnight. She took the iPhone again, but this time, she instinctively have it unlocked and found the footage Reijou sent to the police. She remembered something about it. Something's wrong. So she unlocked the Galaxy and even drew her name with the S Pen. At this moment that she realized...

"What? Who are those people? Why do it now... seems familiar to me? Why did I know?" A montage of memories from Akuyaku Reijou struck Charlotte. "Oh no... I know this place... My home... and then... this game... it's me!?"

"Are you okay, M'lady!?" The same knight reached to.

"Princess! What's wrong!?" The butler as well.

"Princess! Princess!" Some aristocrats from the kingdom also came to visit.

"Can you hear us?" "Charlotte!" "Lady Charlotte!" "Princess, can you hear us!"

"It is me?" Charlotte thought. "I became an otaku because of my mother there. Otome became my favorite genre. After my graduation, my parents are killed by two strangers who claimed to realities and set my home on fire..."

"...and then, I bid farewell to my friends and looked down, not enough to care about the streets which a truck crashed me..." Charlotte realized. "I died at age 18! This isn't a dream or a nightmare, but my own past life memories!"

Few mornings later...

"Are you okay?" Angelique visited Charlotte. "I mean, before what happened, you seems to be harsh and cruel to me, wanting revenge. But now..."

"Much better, blondie. Though I as Princess Charlotte actually want you arrested for trying to defame the royal family." Charlotte replied. "I couldn't stand your kindness without reminding me of the day my mother, the Queen, took her own life because of your family."

"Oh, really? I'm sorry for interrupting-" Angelique replied.

"I'm sorry for causing a lot of commotion. But actually, my soul has changed." Charlotte replied. "In the endings, in the future, you will make me either arrested, exiled or even killed, except for that one ending which I won't talk about yet. My kingdom will most likely be, you guess it?"

"What?" Angelique is surprised.

"Your family exposed this kingdom for attempted trafficking, and the dark magic is commonly considered to be evil. Unlike your light magic and your community..." Charlotte continued. "I'm sorry for making everyone worried though. If that I needed to integrate the soul already..."

"The royalty is rather extravagant, if somehow annoying. Being a commoner like you or my past life meant more freedom." Charlotte whispered Angelique.

Charlotte them went formal for the rest of the visit, before bid goodbye to Angelique, dating that she'll get her for sake of the royalty... but not before giving away the Galaxy, telling her how to use it, and to call her anytime... especially if any spotted something wrong with the fabric of reality itself.

Charlotte watched the footage, and suddenly remembered something from the internet and gaming... it's N and M from Xenoblade Chronicles 3, except not exactly.

"What to do now? Angelique is the heroine, a very good girl, but could I just... wait, I'm a villainess." Charlotte facepalmed. "Akuyaku Reijou. That's my past name."
