Over the years, Bob's Burgers has changed. The kids were practically all grown up ready to get their lives figured out. Louise had started practicing taking over the restaurant for when Bob retired, Gene was trying to get his indie band off the ground.
And then there was Tina, who seemed to be the only one who had things all figured out, shocking I know. Her and Jimmy Jr had been married for about a year and had started moving into the apartment next to Bob's Burgers, where Jimmy Jr hoped to open his own dance studio.
"it's time for the restaurants grand re-re-re-re-RE-opening," Bob said, walking into the restaurant for the first time in who knows how long. Bob and Linda now lived in a studio apartment similar to Gayle's but still visited the restaurant from time to time.
"Welcome to Louise's Burgers!" a familiar voice exclaimed from over the counter. Louise was 19 years old now and very pretty too. She wore a long green dress sort of like the one she used to wear but now with long sleeves and a flowery pattern. She still wore her bunny ears, which were now tattered and worn and sort of hung off the side of her head.
"Not yet Louise," Bob said, looking up at the banner with the words "Louise's Burgers" poorly painted on it. "Not until I fully retire."
"Oh come on Dad," Louise said, rolling her eyes. "You're like 80 or something!"
Bob sighed. "I'm not 80 Louise"
They heard the toilet flush. The door opened and Gene walked out. 21 year-old Gene. He looked similar to Bob except for his thinner mustache, which worked on him somehow.
"I'm hungry," Gene said. "What's the burger of the day?"
"The child molester!" Louise announced. "Comes with candy!"
"Great! I'll take two!" Gene said happily.
Louise turned around, ready to call out the order but she saw that the grill was empty. She scowled and put her face in her palms. "Where the hell is Tina!? She's always so late!"
"Well, she is married," Bob said. "And in the middle of a big move. She's probably busy."
Louise just sighed.
"You know what?" Bob said. "I'll take care of it."
Right when Bob got the grill and started it up, the front door opened."
"Uh, I'm sorry I'm late," Tina said.
"You're always late," Louise said with her resting bitch face, not looking up from her burger."
Tina groaned. "There's something important I have to tell you." She said nervously.
"You're finally quitting?" Louise asked sarcastically.
"Well, not exactly but I'm not sure how it will affect my life yet."
"Lay it on us!" Gene exclaimed.
Tina took a deep breath before letting it out. "I'm pregnant."
Gene spit out his coffee all over his burger and on Louise's shirt. "AW SICK"
"OW DAMMIT!" Bob exclaimed, burning his hand in the stove.
"CONGRATULATIONS!" Gene exclaimed, practically jumping up from his stool to go hug his sister. "I'M GOING TO BE AN UNCLE!" He embraced his sister in one last tight hug before dashing off.
"So uh," Bob came out of the kitchen. "Was this planned?"
"No, but I'm excited!"
"So you're gonna keep it"
"DAD!!"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Bob said, putting his face in his hands. "I'm just not looking forward to having a living reminder that I'm related to Pesto now."
"Dad, it's fine, you don't have to worry about that," Tina said. "Trust me, Jimmy Jr. wants no association with his father anymore."
Bob's worried eyes became sympathetic. "I love you so much," he said, hugging his daughter. "The thought of you growing up scares me, but I'll always be there to support you."
Tina's eyes watered. "Thank you, dad. I love you too," she said, hugging him back.
