Olympians and the son of a monster.

Chapter 1

Community service. It was better than jail time. Alec closed the door revealing his frowning face in dressed in an orange jumpsuit in the locker's dull metal exterior. His bedhead was obvious as he yawned, it was the start of summer, He no longer had to get up this early for another few months. He just had to throw the first blow. His blackeye had bags under it. Alec turned to look towards the others, shaved heads and tattoos that were soon covered by the identical overalls, One caught the eye of Alec and flipped him off, leaving and taking the trash grabber. Alec tried to stick down his hair with his spit, unable to get it to stay still, the community service watchdog, looked in the waiting room, watching them get changed. He had the luxury of wearing his own clothes.
"That's as friendly as he's got." A voice came from the side of the door Alec as he recoiled, The gair could be seen over the locker. She revealed herself when closing her locker metal. The blonde chuckled as she showed the devil horns to Alec. "Not that scary y'know? What got you in here?"
"Just a fight. You?"
"Trashed my Ex's car."
"Messy break up?" Before Alec could get an answer his nose twitch, something smelled off, overpowering the body odour of unwashed adolescence baked into the tiled walls of the community centre. Rotting meat, but this place's kitchen was corridors down. The cops at the door stepped to the side, revealing the parole officer. A woman with long dark hair, flowing past her thin-lipped face and large eyes, her face pointed out. The officer curled her finger towards her, the time to socialize was done.
"With me." She walked with the hips of a belly dancer, exaggerating their movements as the boys watched the hips, although her pantsuit left a lot to the imagination. Alec was imaginative, following everyone towards the door, until he got a smack on his arm.
"Pervert," Sarah whispered in his ear.
"I was expecting someone ugly."
"Don't be gross."
"Smash or pass?"
"Smash."
"Exactly." The officer led the group out it out into the streets of Brooklyn. The cops flanked the Hubble of 'misguided youths' was the word used in Alec's case with hands on their hips, next to their guns. Alec whistled and looked upwards at the brick buildings, a far cry from Manhattan's skyscrapers but they did their job of fitting as much people in as little space as possible. The streets were always busy with people in hooded clothing leaving their apartments, seeing the cops and orange, crossing the street. Others fumbled home after a Friday night, to spend Saturday relaxing. The parole officer came from outside and handed one between two a plastic container with water, soap and sponges. She led them around the corner, between the apartment block and the community centre, at least they didn't have to walk around looking like pumpkins. There was some benefit of having the community service sprayed with colourful language, both the chosen words and the tint used for it. The only shade on the side of the grey wall. The officer indicated the street art.
"Alright, folks. Community service. Last night someone vandalised the wall. Now We don't want our building to be dirty? Some of you might be seeing it a lot more." Her gaze turned to Seth, he looked away. Outside should have smelled better, but it only got stronger as the parole officer stepped closer She didn't look dirty. Natural musk? Alec knew that people didn't smell like rot. "first task of the day is making sure our building is spick and span."

The parole officer walked along the line, as she lectured, towering over even some of the older kids, pausing at the end of the line, right behind Alec. She took a deep breath through his nose at the end where Alec Is and spluttered, turning away and coughing, stepping back from Alec who raised a brow. The parole eyes met with Alec's and for a second, they turned a bright orange, the pupils becoming a slit. She stood up and straightened her dress. His eyes traced her, as she spoke to one of the cops, walking inside. Alec shook his eyes, catching another glimpse at her pupils before she opened the door, they had returned to their normal, human dark colour. Alec started scrub, the spiky-haired woman, next to him started to speak.
"So fresh meat, you here to replace Jenkins?"
"Jenkins?"
"Yeah, She replaced Simmons."
"I'm not replacing anyone. Just doing my time, getting out."
"Sure thing Kid."
"Kid? I'm probably older than you?"
"Go on."
"Sixteen."
"Sixteen and a half."
"Half years don't count." Alec scrubbed a little harder, as the pain only came off in small flecks. He bared his teeth, as he carried on, forcing his fist into the wall, scraping away some of the paint, but not enough, Alec's bared his teeth and swore, stepping back. He began to count to ten in his head. He got to five before a cop poked his arm. Alec's eye snapped open staring at the human, and saw them step back, reaching for their baton on their hip, before calming down. The cop warned him.
"Just…keep scrubbing."
"Don't want to go missing on your first day." The lady remarked rubbing, still unable to get the paint off, this job was going to take the morning, maybe the whole day. Alec scrubbed harder, if he could have rubbed the wall, away but he was no further than anyone else in cleaning, fingers starting to bite in the cold chill of a summer morning.
"What are you on about?"
"Like I said, you replaced 'em. Simmons was meant to be here for weeks, same with Jenkins but only lasted only a few days."
"And I care because?"
"It's just weird. I reckon he's eating them. Remember the name Sarah, in case I'm next."
"That's stupid." Alec saw the wall, still dirtied with graffiti. He was able to look around the corner to see other words he wouldn't say in front of his Grandma. He placed his head against the wall, jerking up when the officer spoke up.
"Sarah Smith. We need to talk." Sarah propped her head up, turning towards Alec. Her hand began to shake. She turned to the others who continued scrubbing away, tugging on Alec's sleeve.
"I don't want to go in alone. Come on, please."
"It's no big deal. I've got cleaning to do." Alec folded his arms, all he seemed to scrub off, the top part of the U though, there were other explicit phrases sprayed onto the wall. Sarah tugged Alec's arm harder.
"Make up an excuse, go to the toilet or something."
"I don't need the bathroom. She better be quick. I'm not cleaning your mess." Sarah muttered something rude. The cop stepped behind her, clasping a hand on her shoulder, her body went stiff, moment slow with feet dragged towards the woman, that towered over her, their smile plastered on unmoving, revealing canines that curved over her lower lip. Alec smacked his forehead, just a tap, to wake him up. Her fangs had returned to their proper length. The two vanished into a community centre, Sarah looked back to see Alec, waving at her before going back to scrubbing. He managed to get rid of at least half before a cop pointed towards the O that Sarah was cleaning.
"You missed a bit."
"That's Sarah's work." Alec's hand crushed the sponge, using it like a stress ball, but it didn't offer any resistance, no satisfaction.
"Sarah's not here sunshine. Think of the community you're serving." The cop spoke with a heavily sarcastic tone. Alec closed his eyes and took a deep breath in through his nose and out through his mouth, just Like Mom said. Count to ten. He got to three before the cop flicked him on the ear. Alec twisted around and smashed his fist into the cop. He fumbled back into the wall. The cop held his stomach while his partner ran over, out of Alec's view quickly was jolted on its side. He was tackled to the ground. His face was forced into the floor. His arms behind his back and face rubbed on the concrete, hearing the click of handcuffs being put on his wrist.
"Big mistake." The cop pulled Alec's face out of the concrete; the scrubbing had stopped to watch this play out. "You're coming with us." The partner pressed their knee into Alec's back.
"I don't think so. We got to take him inside until a car gets here." The partner spoke up, pulling Alec to his feet, as he stared at the cop, not speaking. He took a deep breath, his hands trembling in the handcuffs.
"I just. Can we start again? It's I have-." Alec was cut off by an impact to his stomach with a shrill gasp, his stomach trying to take in as much air as possible unable to gather enough. His breaths were shallow as his body was grabbed by the arms, and dragged away, vision, starting to blur as he had to focus on his breath, every deep inhalation, only brought in a wheeze, and exhaling he sounded like he had been smoking for forty years already. His body was taken inside, sliding along the floor, the type in school halls. He was rolled over, still lying on the floor, staring up at the lights. That was when he heard a scream. Alec lifted his head as he was stopped. The cop froze, they reached to their gun and dropped Alec on the floor, still gasping for air. The cop aimed down the corridor. Alec looked up to see Sarah, sprinting. The parole officer turned the corner, sprinting after her, both fangs and amber eyes, this couldn't be visions, judging by the cop's reaction it wasn't just Alec seeing this. The parole officer dropped down onto their stomach, yet continued to move, as Alec could watch the pants burst open revealing scales, the skin, tearing off the things legs, fusing together to make one large tail, and the swaying hips were less alluring now. The Lamia stood taller than any of them. The cop wide-eyed shot a bullet, only for it to be crushed against the scales of the creature He lowered his weapon. Staring as the tail swung and smashed the cop into the wall, Their mouth opened up, wider than it should, the jaw un-hinged to reveal the fleshy pink mouth with white fangs each shaped like a sabre before the creature closed its jaw around the cop's head.

Sarah picked up Alec, and walking towards the door, watching The Lamia come closer, hissing as they stumbled out the door. Alec's breathing was shallow and fast, as he fell down the stairs, unable to catch himself. Sarah had to stop him from hitting the floor, staring through the open door to see the Lamia smiling with fanged teeth. Blood dripping from their chin. The body had returned to that of a woman, feet touched the steps. It was Sarah who pushed Alec down the road. She led them down an alley where Alec hugged a wall, eyes wide, the vision of the half-snake thing imprinted on his cornea.
"The hell was that?"
"No idea. I went in there. I saw his jaw open wider, wider. She wanted to eat me."
"The cops?"
"We both look like convicts." Sarah, pulled the jumpsuit down revealing ripped jeans and a black shirtless top with a skull on it, tossing it to the side. Alec jingled the handcuffs behind his back.
"I thought you'd take me to a movie before I undressed you." Sarah reached for the zip, stripping as much as she could, handing at the sleeves, to get them over the cuffs. And dirty trainers, throwing the orange fabric to the side. Alec was in blue jeans and an old unbranded top.
"Not the time for jokes." Alec saw down the alley, to see The Lamia again, every step they took echoed through the alley, above the traffic of Brooklyn. He wiped the blood from his mouth.
"You know I was wondering about that smell. So foul. You're not sired by the Olympians? You reek of death." Alec had already turned heel, leaving through the alley, He barged through those he could. He didn't know what death smelled like but neither he nor Sarah sprinting behind desired to discover that odour. He panted, getting the distance, Sarah placed her hands on her knees.
"We can't outrun him."
"You have an idea?" Alec saw the stairs leading to the subway and vanished down the steps, hearing the clatter of the subway. Sarah jumped the turnstile while Alec reached for the back of his pockets trying to hide the handcuffs, as best he could while slipping the card into the slot, grabbing it at the other end. The blue dress from their probation officer came down, eyes locked with Alec as he licked his lips. Sarah had to drag him through the turnstile.
"My ticket." He protested forced to descend, the dry air blew up into his face from the arriving train. He turned back to see the probation officer, reach out and bend the metal in their way, forcing themselves through.

Sarah broke into a sprint and managed to squeeze the two into a train, seeing the door close, and pulling the skin under her eye down to the probation officer. Alec fell back onto the plastic chair, and the train began to shake, catching the breath he had lost from the punch to the guy, his lungs burning, while his partner in crime flopped next to Him.
"What now?"
"I'm going to head home. Pretend I never saw anything and wake up." Sarah pinched Alec as he helped in pain, pulling his arm back.
"This isn't a dream. We both saw that. The cops?" Sarah, nearly fell off the chair, as the train shook violently.
"I'm in cuffs. I'm heading home, getting these off." The train came to a halt and Alec stood up, Sarah followed, emerging to see the brown water between Brooklyn and Manhattan. He walked along the redbrick buildings, cafés and shops, and paused, he turned around. Sarah was still behind him. Alec's nose scrunched, there was something foul in the air, the smell of food that had gone off, yet left in the fridge.
"Noticing my perfume?" Sarah mimicked throwing her hair over her shoulder.
"No. Why are you here?"
"Got nobody else to go no one else to hang out with. Don't you want to at least talk about it?" Alec reached inside his back pocket, reached for his keys, and pressed them into the wall, after, poking them a little bit against the door, having to look Sarah in the eyes as the wooden door, creaked open. Alec made a small crack that he could slip through and slam the door in her face. He walked upstairs and entered the apartment, seeing His mother watering the plants, and younger sister running around. He closed the door with a click and watched his mother perk up. A woman who shared his dark hair and even eyes were just a touch lighter. She placed her hands on her hip. Her baggy trousers were held on by a large belt, keeping her floral shirt tucked in. Alec's mother placed a hand on her hip.
"Community service over already?" His mom saw the glimmer from the cuffs and spoke up a little louder. "Alec."
"It's nothing. Really."
"Alec got in trouble." His Sister chuckled.
"Melanie." His mother spoke up again, the utterance of her name, made Alec's little sister raise her hands, heading to her room. Stomping as five-year-olds did.
"Mom, a little help." Alec's mother got closer; her eyes looked into Alec's.
"Why do you smell like that?"
"Like what?" Alec's mom turned him around and reached for the handcuffs, snapping them off and throwing them to the side.
"What happened? Something Odd? Did you see anything unusual? Do not lie to me. I know when you lie" His mother towered over him, pressing Alec against the wall as he winced from the pressure exerted on his shoulder. His mom's nail pushed into his shoulder, finding the optimal place to apply pressure.
"I saw a man turn into a snake, half. I'm sorry I'm so, so Sorry."
"Megan." Alec's father spoke up, looking back from the T.V. A lumberjack t-shirt and a clean shaved face attempting to look like a rugged outdoorsman, despite him being an accountant. "Remember what we said."
"Sorry Alec, Old habit. Get your bags, we're going on a road trip."
"A trip, hang on? You hear about snake people we're going on vacation?"
"Yes. Son, there's a lot I must tell you. Too much to say safely around your sister, things I should have said sooner." Megan began to run around the apartment. As fast as one could. Alec and Melanie had to argue about who got the smallest room, Alec lost the coin toss, There was a kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms but not much else. Megan through the bag on the table. There wasn't much camping equipment, just spare clothes. Alec, peeked out the window to see Sarah on the side of the road, seated on the steps to the apartment.
"Gonna fill in the weird girl on the street, so she goes away?"
"What weird girl? I can do everything after you pack." Alec had a bag thrown at him, barely catching it. He did as instruct, and walked inside his room, wading through the dirty underwear on the floor, to his unmade bed, and began to put his jeans on the floor into the bag, stopping when he heard the scream.

Alec looked up, it was only for a moment. He poked his head out the window, to see where it had come from, only to find out that Sarah had vanished from her step. He inhaled through his teeth, The rotting stench emanated from the stairs, even from the first floor. Alec held his nose turning away, meeting his mother's gaze. Her face pale.
"You smell it, don't you?"
"Do you?" Megan patted Alec on the shoulder, lowering herself to his height.
"Stay here and pack. I won't be a moment." Megan kissed Alec on the forehead and ran out of the door. The father went back to channel flipping. Alec pointed towards the door as it slammed shut.
"Am I going to get an answer to what's going on. Where's Mom going?"
"Not from me Sport. Just a little longer." Alec's dad heard the door swing open, and flipped around seeing his son had left, before going back to channel surfing. Alec snuck out the apartment building, The screaming had vanished but the stench was stronger. Laughter echoed from behind. Alec turned the corner, seeing his mother, standing below the Lamia. The same probation officer, their beige scales slithered through the alley. As at the end of their tail, wrapped around Sarah's neck. The Lamia's tail rattled, staring down at Megan.
"You, smell the boy. You won't be nearly as tasty though, too old."
"You tried to eat my boy?" Megan cracked her neck and rolled her shoulders, stretching her arms while loosening her joints. She reached for a headband, tying her hair up.
"You reek like him, if you give me your boy. I'll let you and the girl live."
"I'm afraid it does, see you want to eat a child. That makes you a wicked soul." Megan reached to her trousers, undoing her belt. She yanked it off and held it by her side, it began to give off a golden shimmer. The leather transformed into segmented metal, becoming thinner with a tip on the end. "That means I have to send you back to where you belong." Megan lashed her whip at the Lamia's tail. A clean swipe severed the limp, the crackle of fire caused the wound to burn black. The Lamia hissed as Sarah, was dropped to the floor. Megan's whip was pulled her back, watching the golden Ichor drip down the pointed edge. Her tongue licked the ichor, tasting it. "Echidna's ichor. My, My It's been a while since I've tasted that." The Lamia cried and launched towards Megan, Her clothes tore open to reveal leathery wings that pounded the ground, creating a down draft, that made Alec cover his eyes, another crack of the whip and another hiss from the creature.
"Damnable whore of Hades." The whip around the neck, Alec, saw Sarah on the floor. He bared his teeth and sprinted down the alley, sliding over the Lamia's tail. He crouched down to pick up Sarah, seeing his Mother tighten the whip around The Lamia's neck
"Quiet young one. Next time Echidna might put a bit more effort into birthing you." Alec's breathing got heavier, as the Lamia turned to Alec, slithering forward, crushing the trash under its weight. The exhaled, revealing its bloodied maw and forked tongue, launched out. "Distracted by Food, nothing but a baby" Megan tightened her whip around the Lamia's neck, and the metal began to spark with fire, her cackle louder than the screams from the Lamia as scorch marks appeared on its skin.
"You think this is over? I let your sisters know about your boy. They'll be here soon."
Megan's fangs revealed themselves, canines extending longer than they should, She placed her foot on The Lamia's back and the screaming stopped. The Lamia's head rolled on the floor, and the flames returned to normal. Megan spun the whip around and returned it to her waist, She placed her foot on the creature's head.
"Not even death will keep me from tearing you apart for what you've done." The eyes stared forward as the head began to dissipate, turning into gold dust, floating away on the wind. Megan saw Alec's eyes, unwavering, observing her, she took a step forward, and he one back. The wings returned to her back as she swallowed hard. "I didn't want you to see that side of me." Alec opened his mouth to speak but was distracted by Sarah gasping for breath. Alec offered her a hand up, as she need to be lifted, leaning on the wall for support.
"What's going on?" She mumbled eyes half closed.
"A Lamia. It must have thought you a snack." Megan reached for Sarah, looking her in the eye, and checked her pulse, it was slow but, there.
"Always knew I was a snack." Sarah chuckled. Megan cocked a brow.
"She's delirious." Alec pinched the bridge of his nose. "Still that snake thing, you killed it."
"It's going back to its mother to be born again. Think of the birds and the bee's you , now. Stay here. I mean it this time" Megan ruffled Alec's hair, her ears twitched Her body locked up. "Hide, if you see anyone that looks like me, don't listen to them." The foul odour refused to leave despite the vanished corpse. Megan lifted the trash bin and pointed for them to get in.
"Mon you can't be."
"I am Alec. In, Now, or I throw you in."

Alec shook his head and leaped into the trash can, Megan helped Sarah inside, closing it to hide the two. "Stay here. I mean it this time!" Alec watched his mother run off as Sarah slid down in the alley. Megan ran towards her home, freezing outside when she saw her sister, wearing a red toga. Her skin grey and hair was bleached white as she had her whip on her hip.
"Sister."
"My child, her father, where?"
"Tartarus of course." Alecto looked at her nails and chuckled, seeing her reaction. Her wings extended as the people of New York walked past them, the glamour kept their bodies hidden, and people only saw two identical twins. "I didn't kill them though, kept them there. The house wants you back. Tis already took the brat and the man. All we're missing is you, though The Lamia when he sent a message to me, mentioned a male."
"Lamia's also have bad eyesight sister. Let me grab my things and go." Alecto brushed past her sister, sauntering into the alleyway, she looked over her shoulder revealing her fangs.
"I know when you lie Sister." Alecto was in the alleyway, as Megan followed, watching as Alecto plunged her hand into the trash bin, and yanked Seth out by the neck. Alec struggled, held higher than he could stand, his feet kicked at the air as he watched his mother's eyes flash red. Alec opened his mouth to try to speak but nothing came out. Megan stepped forward.
"He's adopted Alecto. Not mine."
"Then why does he smell so good?" Alecto ran a nail along Alec's face, spilling his blood as the red warmth started to trickle down his cheek, licked up by Alecto. "He's definitely yours." Megan launched forward, wrestling Alec from her sister's grasp as her claws drew Ichor from Alecto, slamming her into the wall. "Hard way it is sister." Alecto reached inside her robe, the needle was shown for but a minute as the needle was thrust through her heart. Megan stumbled back, the gold leaking into her clothes, her grip loosened on Alecto as she stepped closer to Alec. The boy tried to crawl back but was halted by Alecto's talons, grabbing onto his shoes, she picked her teeth with the needle used to stab. "Sorry Red blood, but you were never meant to happen." Alecto raised her whip, Alec, shielded his eyes from the shining bronze. Sarah looked at Megan fumbling, she leaned on the trash can, whip in hand. She reached out and her hand passed through the whip like it was nothing. Megan looked up, holding her wound, Sarah was able to hold Megan's hand. Sarah guided the tip of the whip through Alecto. The fury looked back to the blade piercing through her robes. Her fist clenched and she threw The two away. "A damn mortal. How did you kill me?" Megan managed to gather her strength, grabbing her sister's shoulder. She looked back to Alec.
"Alec, the code to my safe you and your sister's birthday. I love you. See you soon." Megan forced the bodies around the corner. Alec stood up and caught himself, running after them but as he turned the corner, all that was left was the gold 's eyes opened wide. He dropped to his knees, holding his hand out to catch the dust, but it blew in the wind and vanished into the floor, like it wasn't there. The remnants of his mother. She was…gone. Alec's mind blank. She vanished, but there was no body, no, clothes the trace of her existence simply vanished. It wasn't a bad dream, as the blood from his scar, still burned, mixing with the blood, emerging from his tear ducts. Alec wiped his red eyes with trembling hands. He couldn't even get the words out. Sarah wandered in front of him and crouched down.
"Let's get you home." Sarah offered her hand, having to take Alec's and lead him up, He stared forward, not able to concentrate, or his eyes focused on anything. His mind trying to comprehend the last few hours. The day started with his mother getting him up for community service. How could it have gone so wrong?

So first attempt at a Percy Jackson Fanfic. Weirdly enough it was Hades' that got me into this again.

I was into it when I was younger but never followed on much past the first Six books. Aware of Roman Gods and other stuff that exist, but wanted to try something different outside of camp half-blood,
Also I'm from the U.K so, it keeps trying to autocorrect to American English.
Anyway, hope you enjoy it. I welcome any constructive criticism. I only ask if you are to be emotionally abusive to make it a funny title is currently work in progress not sure how much I like it.
