Sonic: Guys! I completely forgot about Halloween next month! That's why I'm late!

Sonic: Oh. Well, yeah, thanks.

Sonic: I need to move everything back a chapter so we can have some Halloween fun, you guys good with that?

Sonic: Also! I'm splitting this chapter in half and putting the other half up tomorrow. Not into two chapters, I'll add what I write to this one and re-post it. I've been busy brainstorming that were-chapter, and completely forgot that I still needed to type the edited version of this up.

Sonic: And whoever sent me these new running shoes (I can guess who...) Thank you!

When First Sonic woke up after the fiasco of a sleepover 9 hours ago, he instantly became conscious of the hard floor under him. And the ache his body had received as a result.

He groaned as he squirmed out of his sleeping bag. 'If the other Sonics dragged me away from the grass in the center...'

He froze when his eyes met the dark, stone corridor around him. "What the..."

"Where are we?" Boom Sonic asked from behind, startling his counterpart.

First Sonic turned to see First Amy, Gnarly, Boom Knuckles, and Prime Sonic, along with Boom Sonic gazing around in confusion.

"The trees kidnapped us!" Gnarly cried out. "They want to turn us into trees!"

"I don't want to be a tree!" Boom Knuckles exclaimed.

He started running down the corridor in panic, but Boom Sonic sped ahead of his friend and put his arms up. "Whoa, Knux. Nobody is gonna be turned into a tree."

"But I said we're going to become trees! And if I can't trust I, who can I trust?"

Boom Sonic assumed a deadpan expression. "Knuckles, that doesn't even make any sense."

Gnarly leapt on his buff alternate's shoulders. "He's already speaking the tree's cryptic language!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Boom Knuckles screamed, trying to run away again. But he was held back back by all three Sonics.

"Dude." Prime Sonic said. "Chill out, you're not turning into a tree."

"That's what they want you to think." Gnarly argued, still clinging to Boom Knuckles' shoulders.

"Enough with the tree conspiracy!" Prime Sonic shouted. "Trees aren't alive!"

"Actually, they are." First Amy told him. "They just don't think."

"Oh."

"But I like thinking." Boom Knuckles said. Then he paused and rubbed his head. "At least, I think I do."

"No, he really doesn't." Boom Sonic muttered to First Sonic.

"Shouldn't we be focusing on why the room transformed into this large corridor." First Amy said. "And where the others are."

"I think one of the Knuckles's. Knuckles'z?" First Sonic asked; confused. He shook his head. "I think a Knuckles was dreaming about caves."

"Then why are we in a corridor, not a cave?" Prime Sonic asked.

"Maybe a Sonic was dreaming about a maze?" Boom Sonic shrugged. Then he realized what he'd just said. "Wait, a maze!?"

"Could be a maze." Prime Sonic said, looking around.

"I'm great at mazes!" Boom Knuckles said in a way that worried everyone. "Follow me!"

"Knuckles, wait!" Boom Sonic shouted.

Everyone chased Boom Knuckles and Gnarly (Who was still riding his alternate piggyback style) down the long corridors.

...

Nine really didn't like being separated from Prime Sonic for so long.

Especially when his Xtreme Alternate was freaking out over a spaceship-looking plane that was useless with the low roof and tight corridors.

"I can't believe he kept his word." Xtreme Tails said, looking over the X Tornado. "And it doesn't look like he's messed with it, either."

"Good for you, Tails." Boom Amy congratulated; knowing how much the plane meant to the fox.

"That be a strange boat you've got there, lad." Dread added.

Nine huffed, "It's not a boat, it's a plane; and it's useless with the tight corridors and low ceiling."

Xtreme Sonic leapt onto the plane and smiled down at the nine-tailed fox. "You haven't seen a plane like this one."

X Tails pressed a button and the whole plane transformed into a walker.

"Whoa." Lego Amy gasped.

"That's...impressive." Nina admitted. "That must have taken years to build."

X Tails rubbed the back of his head, "Heh heh. No, not really."

"This is great!" Boom Amy said. "We can move faster with this, and find everyone else in no time at all!"

"Then what are we waiting for?" X Sonic asked, "Everyone hop on!"

First Shadow hated this. He was stuck in an ever-changing room with not one, but eight fakers along with all their friends. Sure, there were six other versions of him; but one of them was a lunatic.

And to make matters worse, the room had transformed itself into what appeared to be an enormous maze. Courtesy of a Sonic, no doubt.

It's a good thing none of them had ended up in his group of 6, or he would've beaten them to a pulp. Instead he was stuck with Mangy, Xtreme Amy and Knuckles, Underground Knuckles, and his Lego self.

"I could dig straight through the walls." Underground Knuckles offered.

"And how would that help?" Xtreme Knuckles argued. "We don't even know how strong these walls are!"

"Then let's find out." Underground Knuckles punched the wall next to him. His fist didn't even make a dent, and a shock went down his spine. "OW! OW! OW! OW!"

"Ha!" Xtreme Knuckles scoffed. "Let me show you how it's done."

He punched the wall in the same place Underground Knuckles had. Soon both echidna's were jumping up and down like crazy people; holding their right hands in pain.

"What in the name of chaos?" Lego Shadow asked, putting his head in his hands.

First Shadow had to agree with his short, strangely-shaped, alternate.

Mangy jumped around the two Knuckleheads, thinking they were playing some kind of game. This only tripped the echidnas up, and they fell on their rear ends.

"That's it!" Xtreme Amy shouted. "We've wasted enough time, I'm going to find my Sonniku."

The pink hedgehog started running down the corridors; and, lacking better options, the rest of the group followed.

...

Rusty Rose had no idea how this was possible. Even with her visit to an alternate universe, this defied all logic. Her circuits were working overtime to figure this out.

And now the room was a maze. It defied all the information she had in her database.

There was also a red plane that shouldn't have been here. And the fox who had been nicknamed "Boom Tails" appeared to have a strong affection for it.

"My baby!" Boom Tails exclaimed; hugging the red plane.

"That's wonderful Tails." Classic Amy said with a bit of a strained smile.

"Why is he hugging his plane?" Lego Knuckles asked Lego Sonic.

The blue lego shook his head. "I have absolutely no idea."

Electric Shadow was the sixth member of this group, but nobody wanted to acknowledge his existence right then. They were all focused on the two-tailed fox who was stroked his plane and assuring it in a soft voice that everything was going to be all right.

When he was finally done talking to the red plane, he hopped in the cockpit. "Come on, guys. Let's get moving!"

Sonic: Gah! This is less than half! But I've gotta go meet Tails and Amy. See you tomorrow!
