A/N: Thank you so much to Moreira222 for reviewing :)

After that evening Nami found herself wanting to spend even more alone time with him, but on a ship full of their friends it was difficult to do so. Don't get her wrong, she loved her friends and their time together was always eventful, but since she had gotten a taste of what it was like to be alone with Zoro, she waited for a chance to repeat it.

So when the island came into view, she was more than excited. Unlike most islands this one hadn't only one village but four different ones. Each village was known for something else and with her friends interested in different things this was the perfect opportunity to split up. The moment they arrived on the island Nami called everyone together to inform them about it.

"This island has four different villages. One is best known for their variety of literature and music, while the next one specializes in inventions. Then we have the village that you can already see, it's rumored to have exclusive food-"

"Do they have meat?" Luffy interrupted and when he got an annoyed nod from the navigator, he smiled brightly. "I want go there. Let's go there."

While their captain was already bouncing up and down in excitement, Franky turned to Usopp.

"That second village sounds super, doesn't it?"

"Maybe I can upgrade my slingshot there." The sniper agreed.

Robin had to smile slightly. A look at the navigator told her that Nami had hoped that they would all split up and she was sure that her friend would choose to go with Zoro. The archaeologist had suspected for a while now that there was something going on between these two. There were only small hints, but then again she was more observant than anyone else on the ship. For a moment Robin considered messing a little with her friend and telling her that she would go with her to one of the villages, but when she saw Nami's hopeful look at the swordsman, Robin decided to help her instead.

"I think it would be best if Chopper and Brook come with me then."

"That's a great idea Robin, I could use a few new books about medicine." The small doctor mentioned.

"I'm sure the people here would like a concert from me and maybe they even want to show me their panties after my performance yooohoo."

"I'm going to whatever village you want to go to, my sweet Nami." Sanji had already hearts in his eye.

"That's nice of you Sanji, but I'll go to the shopping village with Zoro."

"Oi, I'm not going with you, woman." Zoro complained, clearly not catching onto the plan.

"You still owe me money, so you're coming with me and carrying my shopping bags. You would get lost anyway on such a huge island."

"I wouldn't. I have a great sense of direction." With that he turned around and was already leaving the ship.

"Well I better go after that idiot." She tried to sound annoyed while in reality she as more than excited to go with him. However before she followed him, she had to do something else. "Before I forget. Here is a little extra money, I think we all deserve to spend one night in a hotel."

While Sanji praised Nami for being so generous and Luffy was already telling everyone how much meat he could buy now, Robin only smiled when Nami gave her the money. It was clear to the archaeologist that if Nami was willing to give them money, so they would all stay at different hotels, she wanted to spend the night with Zoro in a hotel of their own.

After everyone had their extra money, Nami quickly caught up to Zoro, who surprisingly enough was walking into the right direction, probably because he wasn't meaning to go to the fashion district.

"We're spending the night in a hotel and the rest of the crew will as well in the other villages. I gave them the money for it." Nami announced smiling when she had reached him.

"You gave them money?" Zoro asked doubtfully.

"What? I can be a generous person." When Zoro raised an eyebrow at her in question, she continued. "Okay I gave them the money so they won't bother us for a whole day."

That sounded more like Nami and Zoro had to hold back a laugh. Despite that he wasn't looking forward to a day of shopping and carrying bags, it made his heart skip a beat to know that Nami was willing to spend money so they had the chance to have a whole day for themselves.

When they arrived at the shopping district Nami looked around with a bright smile. The shops looked as if they had the newest fashion and she couldn't wait to see what they had to offer. However before she could drag Zoro into the nearest store, she saw how the women around them were watching the swordsman. Of course here were mostly women, considering that this was the shopping district and Zoro was rather attractive, but their glances didn't sit well with Nami. It was time to show these women that this swordsman was hers. Without a second of hesitation she turned to the surprised man next to her and standing on her tiptoes kissed him.

Zoro hadn't expected this at all. Not only was their relationship a secret but he didn't know why Nami suddenly felt the need to kiss him in front of so many people. He had a hard time showing affection and doing this in public was out of the question for him. Irritated he pulled away from their kiss and looked confused at her.

"What are you doing?"

At the tone of his voice Nami blinked. It was clear to her that he was uncomfortable with this, but for a moment she just couldn't help herself and kiss him to show the other women that he was off limits. Telling him that she was just jealous was out of the question, so she just smirked at him.

"I felt like doing that and it's not like any of the others are here."

That seemed to relax him a little and Nami didn't waste time and pull him into the first store.

Three hours later Zoro found himself still in another store waiting for Nami to finish trying on clothes. He had stopped counting the stores or how many outfits she had bought. This wasn't how he had hoped his day would go, but each time when he looked at her and the way her eyes shone, he found himself unable to complain. This woman was really having her way with him and maybe he should stop her from constantly holding on to his arm when they walked around, but he didn't. Despite that he was still against showing affection openly, he allowed her to do this and it seemed that in return she respect that he wasn't comfortable kissing her where everyone could see them.

When Zoro was about to close his eyes and nap for a few minutes, he heard Nami calling for him to come inside the changing booth to help her zip up a dress. Growling and complaining along the way, he stood up and joined her in the small space. However when he zipped up her dress, he made sure to be gentle, after all he cared more than he would like to admit for the woman in front of him. After he was done he was about to leave the cabin again, but soft hands held him back.

Nami knew that he was annoyed at the whole long shopping trip, but she was enjoying herself immensely. The moment he was done zipping her up and she saw him stand behind her, she couldn't help herself but want to embrace him. Almost hesitatingly she took a hold of his arms and lay them around her waist so he was embracing her from behind. A look into the mirror made her heart beat faster. His annoyed expression was replaced with a soft smirk. The picture she saw in that mirror was one of a couple and that thought alone made her blush. Sure, they had agreed on having a secret relationship, but the way they were standing now and how they looked together indicated more.

After having only done what she wanted, Nami felt like Zoro deserved to do something he enjoyed. She had read about a famous dojo and without telling him where they were going she lead him there. Zoro's surprised and excited look when he saw where they had arrived was worth it.

"This reminds me so much of my sensei's dojo." The smile that followed his words was a rare one and Nami's heart beat faster at seeing him like this.

Zoro barely talked about his past, so when he shared even such a small detail of his life, it meant so much to Nami. From that moment on the day was fully Zoro's and Nami couldn't be more content to watch him fight with the dojo owner. Before Zoro and her had gotten so close, she would have never imagined that she would enjoy spending her day like this, but seeing him like this made it worth it.

"Is that swordsman your boyfriend?" A voice asked and Nami faced the woman sitting next to her. All of the students of the dojo were watching the fight, but this one seemed more interested in the man than in the fight.

"Yes, he is." Nami felt relief run through her at saying that out loud, not only because the woman looked disappointed but also because that described what Zoro really was to her. Even though they normally kept their relationship a secret, it felt good to say it for once.

Later when they had eaten dinner and got ready for bed, Nami couldn't be more happy that they shared a room. Before it had only been stolen moments, but now they really got to spend time together in peace.

Laying in his arms and falling asleep with the knowledge that she would wake up there the next morning made a soft smile light up her face. When she was the first to wake up the next morning, she watched Zoro sleeping. He looked much younger and peaceful in his sleep and Nami felt herself smile. Showing himself so vulnerable was a huge sign of trust for a man like Zoro and she felt lucky to be the one who he could let his guard down around.

This was for once not a stolen moment and Nami realized that she wanted this every morning.
