Chapter 1: opening
I do not own kingdom hearts or the properties shown in this fanfic. They belong to the respective owners and the original story is based on the works of Darius Almighty. It is my sincere hope that this divergence is told well and keeps to the spirit of Kingdom Hearts. It is in that spirit that I have written this opening in the surreal and somewhat jarring style of the wonderful opening cinematics. Since I am not the brilliant Utada Hikaru, I have not gone so far as to compose a song for it—rather, I have done my best to write this opening to the timing of "bury the light" from the popular video game devil may cry 5 (if you have somehow not seen the music video to this song, go and make it so!). Radiant garden is burning…
A battle-damaged sora grimly seeing the destruction of a homeland once belong to certain princess. Kairi lies there hugging his back acting like hope seems lost
With a sudden, chilling explosion, a stream of darkness, somewhere between a thick liquid and a windy smoke, erupted from the ramparts of Hollow Bastion above, sending ancient stone careening into the houses and streets below.
Time passed into slow motion as the voracious darkness rushed down the edges of the Castle, roaring toward sora and kairi.
The chasers appearing out of nowhere walking by them and with a flash several mysterious Keybladers appear charging at them.
The battle was broken by the horrific eruption of darkness from the Castle's highest spires. The sky darkened, thunder clapped, and tables and chairs were tossed aside. Streams of thick, cloudy darkness gushed upon the Garden.
The darkness raged and roared; shrieks and screams and terror filled the air.
With a flash of a lightsaber darth vader approaches luke skywalker and sora menacingly and sora glares at vader with his trademark fighting stance and charges at him.
Shadows of the several mysterious keybearers battle the chasers.
One dressed like a pirate clashes swords with aradan.
Riku battles Charon while giggling insanely.
The few charged at brisen until the tsviets appear out of nowhere.
The other that looks like a beast brawls against Azul the cerulean.
A blue blur grins smugly while he fights rosso the crimson.
A few stormtroopers fire at the remaining four but knocked them like bowling pins.
The death star appears right at the team and the emperor sits there grinning evilly.
The invincible nine stare at kingdom hearts while Pete and maleficent stare at it from afar from shadow-like beings.
And so the journey begins…
