This is a completely original story line written in the universe (and beyond) of Hyrule. This is a story of how a timeline of our fated hero, Link, ends in another world far from Hyrule. In the years after the sealing of Ganondorf, Hyrule is rebuilding itself from the Seven Years' Darkness. The Hero of Time is gone, and Zelda is now Queen. In the interest of restoring diplomatic relationships with all the nations of Hyrule, she has reached out to the Gerudo people, inviting them to come to the capital. One vai has chosen to answer.

Wind is taken in the middle of the Phantom Quest. The other Links had assured him only a few hours, a day at most would have passed when he would be returned. All would be well, and Wind could get back to his quest before Bellum was able to succeed in his goals. Only if the passage of time in the King's Ocean worked like they thought it did. Link's granddaughter is named after him as she resembles him so clearly. Post OOT: After being sent to regain his lost years, Link finds himself a different man. Not only that but his best friend, Navi, is also missing. Instead of searching, he ends up at Lon Lon Ranch.
