*Fully summary inside* On his journey home from surveying his land, King Rhoam Hyrule finds a young child fighting for his life on the plains all by himself after his parents and some imperial knights were killed by monsters. King Rhoam takes him to the castle where the boy swears his loyalty to the royal family and becomes a knight.

Link has built a monument to Mikau, the Zora musician whose face he now carries. When Lulu happens across him, apparently knowing the whole time he was impersonating Mikau, but not faulting him for it, the two help each other through their grief. Link offers to be a father to Lulu and Mikau's children, and plays her the Song of Healing.

A story based on the idea of a corrupted and broken hero and the journey of one person who still believes in him.

Years after the Hero of Time was last needed, Link's peaceful country life is violently disrupted when two of his most fearsome enemies resurrect to threaten the entire world.

Sometimes people create worlds where Link falls in love with their original character. Sometimes you wake up in Hyrule knowing what's going to happen, and try your best to change things. Kafei thought he and Anju were going to die when the moon was falling. He hated being cursed into a child's body, and hated that he and Anju would never be able to get married like they wanted.
