What if Link could never take off the Oni mask, or in this case, want to take it off?

She is the Crown Princess of Hyrule, and you… well, in another time you may have been a Hero. But not anymore.

After an intentional viral outbreak crushers Hyrule and its government, Link is imprisoned by Ganondorf who refuses to reveal the location of Zelda and her newborn child. Link reflects his life, and attempts to develop a plan to correct the world once more.

In the midst of turmoil, and full-out war, the eternal cycle has finally begun to close. Old enemies made friends, and ancient villains surface in all their might. Hi everyone! This is a direct sequel to the events on The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. It is based off of canon TP. This is the origin story of the Shadow Temple and the present-day Sheikah eye symbol, the events of which are based on a theory I had written about it.

Watch as a broken hero spirals a dozen leagues downward through the sky, buffeted by gravity and grief. Crack open his skull, glance out the eyes of a young man who's not quite at rock bottom, but just about seventeen minutes in a flaming steamwing from it. A dizzying ride through time, memory, existentiality - and perhaps - hope. M for language, tragedy, and who knows what else.
