Disclaimer: I don't own Red vs Blue or Knights of the Old Republic
It's an awesome and exciting feeling to be finally start a new story after such a long time since I began my first fanfic. For me this will be a crossover like no other, involving a favourite web series and a game I've not played but am well versed in regarding the particular fictional universe legends wise. This story will take place during Red vs Blue season 3 and mostly will take place after the bomb goes off. With regards to the Star Wars side it will take place at the start of KOTOR 1 and will carry on from there with the main game storyline. Anywho with that explained I believe I've taken up enough of your time, lets proceed onto the show!
New Universe Arrivals
For some, fate could be described as a funny thing, an almost whimsical and twisted predetermined aspect of life for those who inevitably catch up to it. For Leonard Church, it could mainly be described as a "bitch", one way or another it would always end in mind-numbing stupidity and complete and utter chaos. A fitting description of his life in the military all the way up to the very moment he was currently participating in. Since awakening from a strange coma a few years ago, he had witnessed dozens of the most bizarre and ludicrous events, from his squad Captain Butch Flowers randomly dying mysteriously in his sleep to even being blown up and killed by a tank operated by one of his fellow teammates and resident imbecile Michael J Caboose.
The icing on the cake to all this madness was that he somehow miraculously returned from his seemingly apparent demise as a ghost or some other physically translucent entity that closely fit the bill. From then on, it would only escalate into craziness with his girlfriend and Freelancer agent Tex's arrival and death in the box canyon titled Blood Gulch, or as he would refer to it on the most miserable days, a hellscape.
With Tex's death, her AI Omega, or O'Malley as he was nicknamed, would be set loose in the canyon, causing havoc and mayhem within the following year. Ranging from possessing Caboose and making him unbearably unhinged to partnering with the newly arrived medic Doc, who would share a body with his rogue AI conspirator. The pair would launch an attack on Church's squad, the Blue team, and the local rival team on the other of the canyon, the Reds. Eventually, in the ensuing chaos, O'Malley would kidnap Lopez, a robot built by the red team and for a time, Church's second body.
With his metallic hostage, O'Malley would announce his intentions to conquer the universe before departing through the Red team teleporter. The two teams would agree to a truce following this; the basis of this pact presented with the leader of the Reds, an erratic aggressive old man named Sarge, who needed their help to get Lopez back for reasons he suspiciously declined to share.
The two teams, including Chruch himself, followed O'Malley through the teleporters, winding in them scattered in pairs of two across different locations. It would take some time before the Reds and Blues would find a way to reunite with one another. Meanwhile, for Church, he would arrive on Sidewinder, a bitter ice world with unpleasant and distorted memories for the latter, especially regarding a physically impossible incident involving a particular military private named Jimmy.
The presence of one of the red team's most obnoxious members, a lazy orange armoured trooper named Grif made the situation more aggravating. This frustration would only increase with the continuous sound of ticking from his current robotic body that had this unknown feature for no useful purpose save the irritability of his ears. It wouldn't take long for them to find trouble with a Red military team capturing and imprisoning them in a cell.
They would remain in the cell for a while before they were disturbed by an old face from Church's past, another Freelancer like Tex named Wyoming. The jovial gun for hire with a British accent would inform and mock them that he had killed all the guards and would leave the pair to starve to death, also making a quip about his next target Church's fellow teammate Tucker before eventually departing to leave them to die.
Miraculously by sheer luck or perhaps the intervention of some deity, he and Grif's cell door would unlock some time later and allow himself and the latter to escape the prison. Once after recollecting their weapons and making their way outside the prison facility, they soon found themselves back out in the freezing, frozen landscape of Sidewinder. The deadly chill was something they fortunately didn't experience due to the insulation in their Mark VI class armor protecting them from the chilling weather. Having no idea what and where to go, the pair ran into the unknown, searching for the nearest signs of life in the ice land around them.
It wouldn't take them long for Church to find what he was looking for, though he would immediately regret it. The almost absurd nature of it would lead his thoughts to surge in annoyance at participating in yet another insane situation before he would eventually bring his focus back to reality. Up ahead of him, he could see his team the Blues and the Red team as well, almost all members wearing the same armour type as him and Grif in varying colour schemes. The Red and Blue teams were gathered around the base of a small snowy cliffside, all armed with magnums, sniper rifles, shotguns, and other military-grade weapons.
At the top of the cliff side stood two figures he recognised as O'Malley and Lopez, the latter wearing purple Mark VI class armour while the other was wearing the same except with a brown armour colour scheme. For some strange reason that Church could barely be bothered mentally asking himself, he could see a set of yellow holographic runic symbols hovering and circling Lopez in a slow-moving loop.
Behind him, Grif was still lagging several miles back, showcasing his unhealthy unfit status with exercise. It would take him a bit to catch up to the rest, but Church had more pressing matters to address.
"What's going on?" Church asked as he got the attention of the rest of the group, who displayed a somewhat lack of surprise at his sudden appearance. Not that their emotionless military getup would allow them to present themselves with such outward physical expressions.
You want the long version or the short version?" Sarge, a red armoured trooper asked rhetorically. "Basically you've got a fifty megaton bomb in your gut-."
"Ten sir" corrected a maroon armoured soldier named Simmons towards his team sergeant.
"And Lopez is gonna kill us all" Sarge replied, finishing his blunt summary.
" That didn't make any sense, whats the long version?" Church inquired, not at all satisfied with the current explanation. This was not even accounting for the infuriating and unsurprising fact that Sarge had installed an actual detonation device inside his new robot body. Because of course he would given the latter's willingness to beat the Blues.
"That was the long version" said an aquamarine armoured trooper and fellow Blue team member named Tucker." The short version is we're boned".
As they wrapped up discussions, Grif had finally caught up to the rest of the group, "hey Grif are you okay?" Simmons asked.
"I've done hard time Simmons, I'm not the man you used to know" Grif said back with an amusing false projection of experience. He had been keeping up a fake tough prisoner act since he had first been imprisoned, for the shortest time imaginable for any cellmate.
"Hard time?" Simmons asked in confusion, "we were only separated for a few hours?".
"Time moves slower on the inside, Simmons" Grif responded, much to the Maroon trooper's annoyance.
Suddenly an explosion went off near the group as a rocket-like projectile impacted the area close to them. Turning their heads toward the Rocket's point of origin, they could see O'Malley at the top of the hill aiming a shoulder-held rocket launcher at the group.
"You foolish fools will never defeat me! your far too busy being foolish!" O'Malley mocked in an overdramatic fashion before firing another loaded rocket at the group, causing the soldiers to scatter and run in different directions to find cover. "HAH! OBLIVION IS AT HAND!".
Once behind the cover of a nearby sizeable thick oak tree Simmons who had immediately begun analyzing the situation, was surprisingly quick with record-level speed to find a solution to the dilemma with the current explosive maniac. Catching sight of Grif and Sarge who were crouched down and hiding behind an ice-covered boulder, he yelled out to the two. "Sarge I have an idea, but I need you to distract him!".
"Will do!" Sarge shouted back before he turned to the orange armoured soldier who was crouching down beside him. "Grif… I've never believed in you, not even for a moment" Sarge said with no care in the world toward his "favourite" red teammate. "But now is your chance to prove yourself, to me."
"What can I do Sarge?" Grif replied.
"I need you to run right at O'Malley" Sarge instructed in a clear tone.
"And shank him with my skiv" Grif suggested excitedly.
"No, when he blows you up with the rocket, try to see if you can get your dismembered limbs and guts to clog the barrels of his rocket launcher" stated Sarge brutally.
"Your kidding…" Grif said irritatedly at the sound of his leaders' insane suggestion.
"Its a remote chance I know, buts it worth a shot" the red team leader said without skipping a beat in his self monologue.
"OOOOBLIVION IS AT HAND!" O'Malley shouted triumphantly as he appeared behind the pair, letting a maniacal chuckle of laughter as he aimed his rocket launcher at Grif and Sarge. "Cover your ears guy this thing is really loud" said another cheery voice from the purple soldier, this time belonging to a particular aggravating medic.
"This is it!" Grif said with fear as he believed his final moment had arrived.
"Not so fast O'Malley!" a familiar voice yelled out, catching the 3 soldiers' attention; the voice owner would soon be revealed to be Simmons, standing out of cover with what looked to be a mini teleport beside him. "Maybe we can't stop you, but I know who can!".
Suddenly the teleporter started up and created a green glowing gateway to form; an assemblage of voices could be heard as the portals occupants made their way through. "Yeah new level!" cheered a red armored soldier as he and a group of likeminded red and blue armoured soldiers armed with various firearms let out a chorus of cheers as they exited the emerald translucent doorway.
"Hey you guys want your flag!" Simmons yelled out to the newcomers, who quickly focused on him like an eager pack of dogs. "He's the one who has it!" Simmons stated, pointing at O'Malley, who now stared in complete bewilderment at having lost control of the situation.
"THE CRUSADE HAS BEGUN! OUR HOUR OF GLORY IS NOW AT HAND! LET ALL WHO STAND AGAINST US BE WASHED AWAY IN OUR DIVINE LIGHT!" the red soldier at the head of the group loudly declared before he and his group of Zealots charged, shooting at O'Malley, who quickly backed away to avoid the shots coming at him.
"GET, GET AWAY FROM ME! NOOO OUCH! STOP!" the possessed purple medic yelled in panic as the loud Zealots quickly swarmed and attacked him.
Simmons ran over to where Sarge and Grif were standing as the chaos occurred," we need to disarm Church's bomb Sarge" the maroon soldier urged.
"Right" Sarge replied in agreement before the trio made their way over to Church just in time to see the Blue team leader yelp as he was zapped by a ray of energy emanating from Lopez's weather machine.
"Hold still, son, that'll just take a second," Sarge said as he crouched down to examine Church's robot midsection. The rest of the Red and Blue teams gathered behind him while the ticking emanating from the bomb sped up and sounded off louder.
"Don't you ever install anything above the waist?" Church groaned.
"Oh no! That last lightning bolt fused the detonator! Sarge cried in alarm as he jumped back up, "theres no way to turn this thing off!" he added in a tone of defeat.
"Can you do it manually?" Simmons inquired, hoping there was a second option for all their sakes.
"Impossible, I specifically designed it so that I wouldn't be able to defuse it," Sarge explained, frustrating most of the group.
"Why?" Grif asked in annoyance.
"In case I fell into the wrong hands and was brainwashed to help the Blues" replied Sarge with a confident tone that showed his delusional self-justification towards the act despite said decision now coming to bite them in the ass.
"Nice thinking sir" Simmons complimented, still eager to please his superior despite the fact he had doomed them all.
"You just had to get one last ass kiss in before we died, didn't you?" Grif quipped towards his Maroon teammates' brown-nosing.
Back over with O'Malley, the ai-possessed maniac was experiencing a humiliating situation; 4 of the red and blue zealots were crouching up and down over his downed body, essentially performing the mocking art of "teabagging". "NO! NO! THAT'S DISGUSTING WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" he yelled in embarrassment.
"Lemme try! Lemme try!" one of the Zealots said enthusiastically.
"Take that dude!" another Zealot yapped.
"I'M BEING VIOLATED!" O'Malley shouted, feeling his dignity practically shredded.
Meanwhile, the situation with Church had escalated, with Tucker picking up O'Malleys discarded rocket launcher, which he now aimed at Church."Church, there's only one thing I can do."
"Hey what the hell?!" Church reacted in shock.
"There's only 20 seconds left!" Simmons interjected with a warning as the ticking, and now beeping sounds from the bomb grew more frantic in pace.
"If I blow you up before the bomb goes off, theres at least a small chance the rest of us will live" Tucker explained, rationalising the justified action in blowing up his team leader. Not that it was the first time that that happened.
"But the rocket will kill me!" Church retorted.
"Ten seconds!" Simmons added with an alarming update.
"Your gonna die when the bomb goes off anyway!" Grif argued as the situation grew out of control.
"What can I tell ya pal, misery loves company" Church quipped to the group and himself in a way.
"Five seconds!" Simmons warned.
"Sorry Church" Tucker said sincerely as he readied to fire at his fellow Blue team member.
"Man this blows, you guys suck!" Church complained as the realisation of his incoming second death set in.
Suddenly a loud gunshot could be heard as the rocket launcher was shot right out of Tucker's hands, "what the hell!" he cried in alarm.
The origin of the sniper shot came from across the ice plain where a lone figure in white Mark VI class armor could be seen aiming his sniper rifle at the group on top of an ice ridge. "Sorry, Private Tucker, but I always get my man" Wyoming mocked as he loaded his next sniper round for the kill shot. "Say goodbye, mate".
"Uh guys, I hate to interrupt but-" Simmons interjected as the group turned to look at Church, whose body produced rapid-fire electronic beats. "Zero seconds".
"Uh oh" gulped Tucker as the beep finally culminated in what sounded like an answering machine frequency sound.
"What? Oh son of a bitch" Church cursed before the bomb detonated, engulfing and enveloping the group in a strange bright energy explosion that covered the entire area they were in. The last thing they experienced was a peculiar, weightless sensation as they were transported to another place entirely.
The first thing that registered in Church's mind as what felt like consciousness flooded back to him was a dull ringing in his ears and a muffled ambience of occasionally booming sounds blaring loudly. His vision flickered and presented a bright white environment as his sight returned to him from his body position which he could describe in feeling to him as lying down on his backside.
Thoughts quickly began to circulate in his mind as his cognitive processes slowly returned to their regular rate, something he wondered how was even possible given he didn't have an actual brain to begin with anymore."Where am I, am I, am I…. dead?" Church thought squinting his eyes or at least as much as possessed robot could replicate. "Why does heaven look so shiny?" the leader of Blue team mused as he looked around; the somewhat white landscape seemed rapidly, gaining a metallic gleam to his perspective.
As eyesight returned to him, it would slowly be reconfigured to a setting of bone white metal panels around him with occasional patterns of curved dull magenta red linings running through it in the outline. "Wait a minute, what the hell is this place?".
With the realization of being in unfamiliar territory, Church's hearing would finally reset itself, allowing him to hear what was happening in the background. To him, it sounded like a battle was going on in the strange metal facility judging from the local loud alarms and explosions occurring in the distance.
With the potential danger and hazards in mind Church slowly and uncomfortably got up to his feet, his cobalt blue armor making it somewhat tedious as he pulled himself up. Looking around, he stood in what looked like a hallway composed of white metal panels mixed with magenta red outlining on the ceiling and walls. His boots were planted firmly on black tile flooring. He could also see a corridor in the middle of the hallway to the right leading to a closed-off small section.
He then noticed that his signature SRS99-AM sniper rifle was laying abandoned on the tile floor next to two unconscious forms that he realised to be his team's two other current members. After picking up the sniper rifle and readjusting it in his grip, he made his way over to the closest of his fellow Blue team members. He was the only one of them and the other rival team who wore an older generation variant of their current armour, the Mark V, which, in Caboose's case, had a dark blue colour scheme.
"Caboose get up" Church ordered as he kicked and nudged the dark blue armoured trooper awake.
Eventually, the latter would awaken, and once he did, the moment Church heard his voice, he regretted waking him. "Church it is so great to see you! Are we in heaven?" Caboose asked with the air of an enthusiastic child. "Its so…. metally".
Caboose then spotted the only other Blue team member in the hallway who was unconscious on the floor to the right side of him,"no wait I'm sorry Church, but if Tucker is here, then we must be in H, E, double hockey sticks" he added in genuine disappointment.
Church then went over to Tucker, who he would nudge awake with light hits from his boot. The attitude he would receive would be a dramatic shift from his other team members energetic display of behavior.
"Ugh… Church? What the fuck? I thought we were supposed to be like dead or something?" Tucker moaned as he felt himself awaken from an almost coma-like state into a groggy state of mind. Slowly pulling himself up off the ground as he joined the rest of the Blue team standing in the middle of the hallway.
"Well you thought wrong man, we're here in this place, whatever here means" Church quipped as he looked around the hallway. Trying to make an accurate guess of what location this strange hallway was a part of, whether it was a ship, base, or some other unique place with a purpose that served to have the special panel set up as the hallway they stood in. Whatever it was, it did not appear to be having a perfect day judging from the sounds of explosions and alarms echoing across the entire area.
"All we know is that it is very shinnny, and very bright" Caboose bluntly emphasised as he pointed out the gleam and luminescent lighting of the white metal walls around them. "I think that we are in robot heaven".
"Caboose Church already said we weren't dead, and why would we even be in a heaven meant for robots?" Tucker commented in annoyance as he found himself reminded of the daily migraine that was Michael J Caboose.
"Well Church is here and he's a gay robot, so I thought we got the invite as well" the dark blue trooper rambled in a confusing manner.
The two then turned to face Church who, if expressions could be more visibly apparent through his helmet, would have looked extremely irritable. "Oh, I'm not even going to start there…".
Suddenly, what sounded like strange blaster fire sounds could be heard in the room just down the down from the hallway, accompanied by what could be described as an grenade explosion and several screams following as the sound of bodies slumping to the floor could be heard.
"Okay what in the hell was that!" Tucker said in alarm as he quickly snapped awake and grabbed his BR55 service rifle off the floor, aiming it in the direction the sounds had come from.
Beside him, Church quickly followed suit as he looked through the scope of his weapon and aimed his sniper rifle at the door down the hallway. Despite having a limited understanding of what was happening, Caboose decided to join in as he felt it was best to fit in. He pulled out his personal gun, an M6G Magnum that he pointed in the same direction his fellow team members were aiming their firearms.
A good set of meters away, the end hallways doorway automatically opened up, and in poured into the area was a unit of what appeared to be 5 soldiers in reflective silver armor, black under-padding, and wearing silver helmets with black visors. They also all appeared to be wielding blaster rifles, except one who wielded a lengthy two bladed sword and seemed to be the leader of this unknown squad of soldiers judging from his position at the head of the group.
Upon spotting the Blue team aiming their weapons at them, the unknown soldier unit immediately went on the defensive as they prepared their own blasters at the sight of the group.
"Mandolorians! I thought there were only Republic soldiers aboard this vessel" one of the silver armored soldiers exclaimed in shock.
"Indeed, this not at all what the report confirmed" the soldier with the sword stated aloud in a voice tone to his subordinates that showed both his coldness and yet harsh temperament in the current moment towards the unexpected obstacle in their path. The squad leader then turned his attention to the enemy group aiming their weapons,"what are you Mando scum doing on this ship?" he ordered impatiently.
Tucker and Church looked at each other in a mix of confusion as they contemplated the silver armoured soldiers' words, which, while holding a valid question they also continually asked themselves, seemed to have a lot of confusing hostility and unknown contexts to it that they didn't really understand.
It was then that Church decided to speak up in order to address the current individual speaking to them, both for sake of his team in avoiding a battle with the group and also in the hope that it would possibly gain answers regarding their current situation.
"Uh yeah, hey, we don't know anything about this "Mandalarian" business or whatever, heck we didn't even know where we are seeing as we only got here today by complete accident" Church explained, hoping that the still actively aggressive squad of silver armored soldiers would hear them out. "Listen, are you guys with command or the UNSC? If you are, we're the Blue team from Blood Gulch outpost number-".
"Do you take us for brain-dead fools? You are addressing soldiers of the Sith empire" the now-identified Sith soldier with the sword spat angrily. "If you value your life, you will cut this fabricated lunacy short and tell us the truth" he added with a threat.
"What the fuck are you guys on drugs or something? We are telling you the truth; we don't know anything about you, this place, or the "Shit" empire you're part of" Tucker angrily retorted, not at all fine with the death threats the Sith soldiers were using. His last misspelled insult would unwittingly set off the group of enemies who were now furious at the mockery of their organisation.
"I've had just about enough of your suicidal stupidity, open fire on these deranged lunatics!" the Sith soldier ordered as his men let loose their trigger fingers and fired at the Blue team, who quickly moved out of the direction of blaster fire.
Tucker provided his two other teammates cover fire as the Blue team rushed into the midway corridor to the left of the hallway entrance where the Sith squad was blasting them from. One of the Sith troopers went down as the rapid fire of semi-armor piercing rounds from Tucker's battle rifle shattered the man's visor and splattered his brains across the wall.
The small victory wouldn't be without its setbacks as Tucker would receive a laser shot on the shoulder plate, knocking him to the floor and leaving him with a minor scorch mark dent on his armour. The aquamarine armoured soldier quickly rolled into the cover of the right side corridor wall where his other teammates stood to avoid other lasers shot from the Sith soldiers.
Grabbing a frag grenade from his armor set, Church threw it at the corner wall facing the corridor and upon impact, bounced right off to land in front of the Sith soldier squad, where it would detonate. The one standing in front would be blown to bloody smithereens. At the same time, his 3 other fellow soldiers who were some distance away were sent flying backward.
As the dust cleared from the explosion, Church emerged from the corridor corner aiming his sniper rifle at the somewhat blackened part of the hallway at any potentially vulnerable enemy. He would soon spot one of the Sith Soldiers clambering to their feet through the scope of his long-range weapon, and it appeared to be the squad leader armed with his current curved sword.
Church pulled the trigger of the Sniper rifle, firing a light armor-piercing round, which he hoped would land a successful headshot on the Sith squad leader. Unfortunately, the shot missed by mere inches and pierced through the hallway door. Frustrated, he reloaded and fired again, missing his mark by a mile. The Sith squad leader, alarmed and angered by the near-death experiences, charged at the blue soldier, intending to hack his head off.
"Dude just hurry up and shoot him already!" Tucker ordered in alarm as he saw the Sith soldier getting closer to Church, who was cursing under his breath as he prepared his next shot.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK I'M TRYING TO DO!" Church protested angrily as he fired his 3rd shot at the Sith soldier, missing the target by an even worse distance than the first two.
Suddenly, the Sith soldier closed the distance between them, taking a deadly swipe of his two-handed sword, which Church barely dodged by leaping to the right. The Sith squad leader then attempted another swing that would decapitate his blue-armored enemy. He would be cut off as Tucker smashed the butt of his rifle into the side of the enemy's silver helmet, sending him staggering from the sudden head impact.
The aquamarine armoured trooper seeing his chance to finish him with some sloppiness, got his rifle out of club mode and fitted into a position to shoot the Sith squad leader in the head. Unfortunately the Blue team member would underestimate the Sith soldiers quick recovery as the man swung his sword and knocked the service rifle out of his hands, causing Tucker to fall back against the hallway wall in shock.
Seeing the advantage, the Sith soldier advanced to finish his opponent; the squad leader would only make it a few more seconds before the unthinkable happened. The silver-armored killer was suddenly picked up and hoisted by the waist off the ground, causing him to drop his two-handed sword. From Tucker's position, he could see that the Sith Squad leader was held in mid-air by Caboose, who held the silver-armored soldier high up with a considerable amount of strength.
"HI!" Caboose greeted enthusiastically as he held the struggling Sith soldier in mid-air before he flung the man at the opposite wall with a ton of force in his throw. "GOODBYE!".
The Sith squad leader would hit the opposite side of the hallway resulting in a damaged, cracked wall from the impact and the man in question falling to the floor in a heavily disoriented, concussed state.
The Sith squad leader would barely get a few seconds to wriggle in pain before he was met with a nearby relentless hail of bullets from Church and Tucker who. As soon as the firing ended, all that was left was a broken, torn-apart bullet-riddled corpse in shattered armour.
The two members of the Blue team would have no time to celebrate their victory as they were again forced further back into the corner of the splintered-off corridor as the last two remaining Sith soldiers began firing their laser blasters at them.
"Holy shit, these guys just don't give up do they?" Tucker commented with an irritated tone as he heard the Sith soldiers advance on their position, "I'd thought they'd cut their losses and just retreated or something by now."
"What did you expect? We've killed like three of their guys" Church pointed out in observation, "they're probably royally pissed off right now ."
"I get that, but they've had such a crappy rate of success at killing us" Tucker replied, "you'd think the common sense angle would be to just to back off and leave."
"You're making the mistake of thinking these assholes are sane" Church countered with a reasonable point.
The 3 members of the Blue team prepared themselves as they heard the remaining Sith soldiers hone in on their position. They would not expect to hear what sounded like footsteps coming from the opposite end of the corridor.
From Church's perspective, it sounded from the single battle cry heard and the following laser shots that whoever was coming from the left side of the hallway was engaging the Sith soldiers in a battle. The unknown assailants would reveal themselves as they ran past the short entrance to the corridor section where the Blue team hid behind cover.
One of them appeared to be soldier in spiky blond hair and dressed in strange red and orange light armour. The other of the pair seemed to be a man with shoulder-length black hair and a thin beard who was geared up in a simple combat suit and a longsword sheathed across his back. Both of them held what appeared to be similar blasters to the ones the Sith soldiers used and coincidentally were using against they fired at the diminished squad at the opposite end of the hallway.
"Who the fuck are these people?" Tucker asked with concern as he watched the unknown duo disappear from the view of the entrance as they fought against the Sith soldiers, presumably from the loud laser shots and yells.
"I have no goddamn clue Tucker" Church replied as he listened cautiously to the loud noises from the battle, which appeared to be dying down as one side undoubtedly emerged victorious from the short fight. "But keep your guard up."
The last thing that would be heard was a body falling and hitting the floor with a dull impact before a small conversation between two individuals was heard, or those listening in keenly simply relayed instructions from where to proceed.
The unknown victors of the battle could then be heard walking down the hallway towards the corridor section, where the Blue team now prepared themselves anxiously and tensely as they aimed their weapons toward where the footsteps were coming from. The individuals would reveal themselves as the man in red and yellow armor and the bearded man from earlier. They instantly aimed their blasters at the Blue armored group, who aimed their guns back at them.
"WHOAH! WHOAH! HEY! Listen, you don't shoot, we don't shoot" Church warned in half panicked, half tense tone as he eyed the two men who glared at him with intense suspicion. Both groups now stood in an intense stand-off with trigger fingers that itched to move at the slightest unsettling movement. "We're not looking to fight anybody."
"Who are you? Are you with the Sith?" the red and yellow armored soldier questioned with a hostile tone.
"You're talking about those douchebags in silver armor, right?" Tucker asked, receiving a nod from the current speaker out of the two men aiming blasters at them. "Hell no, those psychos tried to kill us because of some stupid crap; we were basically holding them off till you guys got here."
The red and yellow armoured man let loose a heavy sigh as he took this information, uncertainty filling him despite the extremely blunt honesty and vulgarness presented in the stranger with aqua-colored armour's testimony. "Well, if you aren't part of the Sith Empire, then who are you?" the man inquired, "some… strange group of Mandos?" he added, making a rough misassumption based on their unique suits of armour.
"Oooh ooh I love mangos, they are very healthy for you" Caboose interjected, instantly gaining weirded-out looks from the two soldiers and aggravated looks from his companions.
"Caboose he was talking about Mandos or whatever, not mangos" Church replied as he rolled his eyes underneath his helmet. The leader of blue team then turned to red and yellow armoured soldier to address him, "nah man we're not Mandolorians or whatever that stuff is, we're just a couple guys who got teleported here by accident".
"So you three have nothing to do with what's happening on the Endar Spire, you just….. showed up here out of nowhere" the bearded man finally spoke up in a summary that displayed both his understanding and confusion of the seemingly weird trios situation.
"Yeah, pretty much" Tucker confirmed.
The second man gazed at all three as if observing them to undergo a very intense analysis before he eventually spoke up again with a statement that shocked his fellow trooper. "I believe you".
"You do?" the red and yellow armored soldier responded in a tone of surprise as he eyed his companion carefully.
"Call it a gut feeling; besides, it's clear they're not faking anything; nobody pretending could be this confused and unaware" the other man replied firmly.
"Could also mean they're crazy as well, but you know what I guess I'll trust your judgment on this" the red and yellow armoured soldier replied as he put his faith in the hands of the bearded man. The man then turned to face the Blue team, who still had their weapons pointed at the two throughout the interaction. Showing he meant no harm he faced his blaster down. At the same time, the bearded soldier did the same, receiving a response from the Blue armoured soldiers who lowered their guns.
"Well if you three mean no harm and are here not of your own volition, then I suppose I owe an apology" the red and yellow armoured soldier admitted with humility before introducing himself. "My name is Trask Ulgo, ensign of the Republic fleet" Trask said, "the man beside me is Varden, he's a fellow soldier" he added gesturing towards the now named Varden.
The pair now waited as they looked at the Blue team, who now, in a somewhat awkward fashion, went about introducing themselves. "Well uh…. if we're doing introductions then I'll go first, my name is Leonard Church I'm the leader of the Blue team".
"Unofficial leader, nobody made you the boss after Flowers bit the dust" Tucker corrected in a snarky manner.
"I appointed myself Tucker" Church hotly replied before he continued on with the introductions of his team, much to the bewilderment of Trask and the hidden amusement of Varden at the Blue team's inner antics. "Anywho, this is Tucker the resident horndog".
"Sup" Tucker greeted.
"And lastly…" Church said, struggling to finish the introduction he knew would result in stupidity. "Caboose"
"This is a really fun fieldtrip!" Caboose exclaimed excitedly, instantly leaving both the Republic soldiers confused at the bizarre statement made by the dark blue armoured soldier.
Meanwhile, Church inwardly facepalmed, knowing that two poor souls were now having to bear witness to the idiocy of the being responsible for the constant torture of his sanity. Suddenly a massive explosion could be heard, rocking the ship's inner compartments and signaling on time to remind a certain Ensign of his original mission.
"Well Church it appears you and your team have the worst of luck, your stuck along with us on a Republic ship thats currently being bombarded and boarded by the Sith empires forces" Trask explained to the Blue team leader, who absorbed this info
"Yeah it sounds like quite a shitty situation , do you guys gotta plan?" Church queried, curious in the hopes they could get off the current unstable space vessel that was practically screaming it was on its last legs.
"Well the primary objective was to go find Bastila, the one in charge of the Endar Spire" Trask replied, filling Church in.
"Who's Bastila?" Tucker piped up suddenly.
"She's the Jedi Knight responsible for commanding of this ship, its my and Vardens duty to ensure her survival in a attack like this which is why we need to find her" Trask informed the aquamarine armoured trooper.
"Is Bastila single?" Tucker asked with a high sense of intrigue, leaving Trask lost at such a baffling response.
"Uh…. well thats kind of a complicated package to explain" Trask responded as he rubbed the back of his hair awkwardly, not knowing how to explain the situation to the blue trooper.
"Bow chicka bow wow" Tucker quipped.
"What?" Trask responded in confusion.
"Ignore it, he's an idiot" Church stated in a harsh manner
"At least I'm not the one who sucks at shooting a sniper rifle Church" Tucker retorted.
"Tucker do you even realise whats going on, we're on a ship thats being invaded by these knight looking wannabe nutjobs and all you wanna do is go bang some woman you've never even met".
"Church I've been stuck in a box canyon for a few years with a bunch of dudes in armour, can you really blame me for wanting to blow off a little steam".
"Yeah Tucker just wants to ride a steam train, right?" Caboose added innocently. At the same time, his two other teammates looked at him with a mixture of exasperation and annoyance.
"Yeah sure Caboose….. thats exactly what I meant" Tucker responded.
It was then that another loud explosion could be heard in the distance, "well as enlightening as this conversation is we should probably get moving" Varden suggested as he pointed out the instability of the ship's current state, which was not getting any better.
"Agreed we should probably get a move on, the sooner we find Bastila the better" Trask urged as he looked from his fellow Republic soldier to the Blue team.
"Sounds good to me" Tucker said with a sense of determination, the extra motive stemming from a "special" place in his mind.
"If it means getting off this ship, than yeah lets do it" Church said as he agreed with the others to leave. Caboose naturally going along with him due to his almost puppy-like admiration of the latter.
The 2 allied teams then proceeded to make their way through the now somewhat damaged hallway and past the corpses of the Sith Soldiers who lay strewn around the tile flooring. Upon reaching the hallway entrance where the enemy squad had come from, the group passed through the opening and continued further into the ship.
In another location entirely, a certain individual wearing orange Mark VI class armour found himself stirring from the depths of his unconscious mind. The first sound of the blurring world that met his squinting eyes was the energetic voice belonging to a particular Red team member.
"Wakey wakey buddy" said a pink armoured figure that as Grif's vision came into focus, was recognised as his fellow teammate Franklin Delano Donut or simply Donut as he was referred to as. "Oh its good that your awake I was worried for a second you might actually be dead, otherwise I would have lost the bet".
"Whuh? what bet? Where are we Donut?" Grif groaned as he looked around the area. He found himself lying in a strange angled tunnel area where he and Donut, along with Sarge and Simmons, who stood some feet away from the pair in some form of discussion, were currently situated.
"Oh yeah you don't know, me and the rest of the guys woke up way earlier in this place, and since you were out of it for a really long time, we were wondering if you kicked the bucket" Donut explained in a casual tone."Sarge and Simmons placed bets that you were, I was the only who didn't, guess I lucked out".
"What did you get if you won?" Grif asked with intrigue in his voice while picking himself off the ground and grabbing his personal firearm, a M7 caseless submachine gun, off the floor.
"Eh just a little I told you so brag rights, that and Sarge wasn't gonna use his shotgun to shoot you in the head" Donut admitted, instantly alarming and angering Grif.
"Why would Sarge need to shoot me if I'm already dead?" the orange armoured trooper questioned agitatedly.
"That's what I was saying!" Donut replied in agreement.
"I told you Donut! It stops the spread of the infamous Grif virus, the deadliest and most diaaabolical bodily incubated disease known to man!" an old gruff southern accented voice suddenly interrupted.
The two turned to see the owner of the rough voice, Sarge, an old man wearing a bright red set of Mark VI armour and currently tightly clutching a M90 CAWS Mark II shotgun in his hands as he made his way over to them. Behind him strode Simmons, a much younger man in a maroon colour version of the same class armour and wielding a BR55 service rifle.
"The only way you can stop the Grif virus is like how they did it in that one zombie show, you gotta take out the brain, least the Grif plague comes out to infect ya, and then your doomed!" Sarge ranted in an overdramatic manner.
"Sarge I think that logic only applies to the undead" Simmons stated to his squad seargent who stood beside them as they faced Donut and Grif. "The only thing that'll be released from Grif is all the revolting gases he's got stored inside from all the unhealthy garbage he eats".
"Your underestimating the horror of the Grif plague Simmons, its the stuff of nightmares!, the disease that'll blacken the environment and snuff out the sky!, the end of all days!" the Red team sergeant exclaimed.
"Look not to cut this dumpster fire of a conversation short, but I'll repeat what I said where even are we?" Grif queried, bringing a fair question to the discussion given its importance.
"What do you think the answer is Grif, we don't know" Simmons said back somewhat heatedly, having no time for obvious questions.
"Have you guys gone to investigate the area we're in?" Grif asked, pushing his subsequent inquiry forward.
"We were gonna, but we had to wait for a specific dirtbag to wake from his beauty sleep" Sarge quipped with a slight growl.
"Well I'm up now, so we can get going" the orange armoured trooper responded, not enthusiastic about moving given his lethargic nature but still driven by the eagerness to know the unknown location around him.
"Well alright then, ladies lets get move on!" the red sergeant ordered as he walked off into the hallway with the rest of the Red team trailing behind him.
The Reds continued through the tunnel section till they spotted what appeared to be a large entrance with a currently tightly shut metal door, and standing not too far away as if standing guard was a green-skinned humanoid with large pupil-less eyes wearing what looked like a unique yellow pilot seat.
"Holy crap is that what I think it is" Grif said in astonishment at what he just knew was an alien life form, though not one he was familiar with.
"Yeah it is, looks like we officially ended up in an episode of star trek" Simmons commented, naturally fascinated with his and several other members on the Red team's first encounter with an extraterrestrial.
"Well there ain't no sense in just gawking around all day, lets go talk to him " Sarge declared with an authoritative tone. "See what he knows about where we are."
The Red team led by Sarge made their way over to the green alien, who now turned to them with a curious gaze as he looked over the group of strange, colorfully armoured individuals.
"Uh hello there me, me and my uh compadres were just wondering if ya knew what the name of this place is?" Sarge asked somewhat stiffly with his speech pattern as he tried to form his question.
The green humanoid responded by speaking in a bizarre-sounding language that instantly left all the Reds more than entirely puzzled by what he was talking about.
"Uhhhhh, could you run that by us again in you know… english?" Sarge asked, his suggestion and especially the last word in it instantly confusing and somewhat offending the green humanoid, who proceeded to repeat the same sentence he had uttered beforehand.
Like the previous response, none of the group could recognise a single word that the alien was uttering, and the answer made it clear he could not speak the same language as them.
"Listen is there anyone that speaks the same language we do around here?" Sarge inquired.
The green humanoid then replied with another statement in his unknown language though this time he angled his head to the doorway he stood beside.
"So your saying that theres somebody in there that can talk to us?" Simmons queried as he pointed at the door, receiving a nod in exchange.
"Great, we'll take a look inside" Sarge stated to himself and the rest of the group, "Thank you for the assistance sir, you've done the Red army a public service today" he added with a military salute that left the green humanoid more than a little puzzled.
Putting that aside that he went over to the control pad to open up the metal doorway in order to allow the Red team to walk through and make their way inside into the current establishment establish beyond the entrance.
Once inside, the members of the Red team were greeted by the sights of a large cantina that featured multiple sections, one of which had an atrium and a set of what looked like holographic tables before it led into the main bar. The Reds made their way through the entrance lounge area and out into the main bar, immediately finding themselves in a somewhat crowded place filled with aliens, humanoids, and fellow humans.
Turning to the right, Sarge nearly walked into what looked to be a hostile argument between 2 alien individuals who appeared to be the same species as the cantina bouncer at the entrance and what looked to be a teenage blue alien girl with long appendages protruding from the back of her head.
"I told you to leave me alone, so give me some space bug-eye! Your breath smells like bantha poodoo!" mocked the blue teen towards the two aliens, who, from mere body language alone, looked ticked off at the insult and responded angrily in turn in their unknown language as the Red team watched.
"Who are you calling a little girl, chuba-face" the blue girl insulted which earned her another irritated response from the two thugs.
"Just a sec, boys" said the blue girl before turning around to face the bar counter where a tall, very hairy humanoid was standing. "Zaalbar… a little help here? I need you to rip the legs off some insects".
The now identified Zaalbar responded with a series of indiscernible friendly growls that the blue girl seemed to understand to the degree that she was able to shoot back a humorous remark. "Quit complaining… you can finish later; besides you need the exercise".
The two green alien thugs would let loose a series of hot-headed comments that showed their disapproval of the presence of the blue girl's ally, who outmuscled them in all aspects of strength, making it clear who would come out in a fight.
"You got a problem with me, then you got a problem with Big Z" the girl threatened the now hesitant thugs who did not want any issues with Zaalbar and any who were close to him. "So unless you wanna take on my furry friend, I suggest you greenies hop on out of here," she added with a final warning.
The two green humanoid thugs would make one last hostile comment before turning around and nearly walk into Sarge. Already in a bad mood, the pair would make what sounded like insults in their unknown dialect towards the Red sergeant judging from their sneering tones.
"Son, I don't need to know what language your speaking to know that your talking straight out of your ass" Sarge insulted, instantly enraging one of the two thugs who walked right up to the red team leader's face or rather helmet with a threatening, derogatory tirade made evident from the harsh, tense voice the green humanoid used.
"Tell ya what you talk to me like again, and I'll give ya the biggest ass-whooping since Bruce Lee" the red sergeant threatened as he bore holes into the alien, who stared back at him with a sour expression.
The two would remain in a staring contest for some time before the green humanoid finally broke off, spitting on the ground before walking off into another part of the bar with his associate trailing behind him.
"Gotta say that was some sass old man" the blue girl stated in amusement as she now addressed Sarge who turned his attention to her.
"Eh I've seen tougher punks than him get spit out of basic training" Sarge remarked casually in response to the now intrigued alien teen who glanced at him and the rest of the Reds with interest gleaming in her eyes.
"Sounds like you've seen a lot of action" the blue girl commented with intrigue, "are you guys Mandolorians or something?".
"Mango hoardin what now?" Sarge replied in confusion.
"I believe she said the name Mandolorian sir" corrected Simmons, instantly earning the ire of his team sergeant.
"I know that private smart ass" Sarge retorted in annoyance, "I just ain't heard anything like that in my life".
"Wait so you guys are not Mandolorians?" the blue girl asked with a confused facial expression.
"To be honest we don't even know where we are, let alone what your talking about" Grif admitted with a plain truth.
"Okay….. so your not even aware your on Taris?" the alien teenager inquired becoming more and more weirded out.
"What is that like the name of the city or something?" Simmons questioned.
"Sort of, its the name of the planet we're on" the blue girl explained to the team who looked at each other surprise upon hearing the new information. "Did you not realise your on a different planet?" she added with a look of curiosity.
"Practically no, we just got teleported to this planet today accidentally," Simmons explained to the blue girl, who looked more and more befuddled each second.
"How could you just be teleported to another planet? That kind of technology or ability doesn't exist!" the teen exclaimed in complete puzzlement, struggling to wrap her mind around what could have possibly transported this strange group of armoured individuals from there original location to another planet.
"Its complicated" Grif replied with a simple answer
"Complicated? like how?" the blue girl inquired.
"Ah you know its one of those times, a life or death situation on an ice planet, a possessed crazy purple dude with a rocket launcher trying to kill us, and a guy who had a 50-megaton bomb counting down in his gut" Donut said in a nonchalant tone despite his seemingly bizarre non-contextual explanation. "You know, normal day eventful stuff".
By the end of it the blue girl was left so bewildered at the explanation that she found herself unable to respond properly, trying to find words for a sentence she struggled to form.
Noticing her flabbergasted stance, Sarge decided to speak up, "look kid it would probably easier if we explain it to ya once we're able to sit down and get some food and drinks".
"Fair enough" responded the alien teenager, finally finding the ability to talk again. "Did you guys bring any credits with you?".
"Credits?" Simmons parroted back in a confused manner, unaware of the purpose and meaning behind the items she named.
"Yeah.. credits, do you have any?" the blue girl asked, only to receive a shake off the head confirming no. She sighed deeply, "tell ya what seeing how I'm feeling somewhat generous today I'll shout you four a meal, is that good with you guys?".
"Yeah we're good with that " Grif answered at surprising speeds before anyone else, the orange armored trooper eager to eat a hot, tasty dish.
"Cool" replied the blue girl, her attention quickly diverting away as she heard a familiar low-sounding growl behind the Reds. Looking over she could see Zaalbar making his way over with a tray filled with a unique delicacy placed on it.
"Hey Big Z, I was just talking to these guys". the alien teenager said to the large humanoid who stopped to stand beside her, holding his plate of food, looking at the group of red and other color-armored individuals who stared back. "You know I don't think I ever introduced myself, my names Mission Vao and this right here is my best friend Zaalbar" Mission Vao said, introducing both her and Zaalbar. "Who are you guys?".
"Sarge is the name and killing the blue team is my game " Sarge answered back as if reciting a mantra.
"Um….. okay" Mission replied in an awkward voice tone though she quickly moved on, "whats your name?" she asked the maroon armoured soldier next to Sarge.
"His names Private Dick Simmons" joked Grif much to the infuriation of the Maroon soldier who did not appreciate the purposeful miscorrection of his name one bit.
"My first names Richard, not Dick" Simmons retorted back with a embarrassed tone.
"You do realise that Richard means Dick in short right?" Grif corrected in return.
"Whatever" Simmons growled back, "Mission this is Grif aka the king of laziness and slacking off" he added introducing his currently least favourite member of the red team in a negative light.
"Hey don't say it like that, I wear that title with honour" Grif commented in a faux angry tone.
"Of course you would be delusional enough to thinks thats a great thing" Simmons shot back.
"Can it you two" Sarge ordered, finding himself sick of the noise from the argument being right in his ear. Turning back to Mission who appeared to be barely restraining a chuckle alongside Zaalbar from witnessing the humorous exchange. "Anywho lastly we got Donut over here".
"Hi there!" Donut exclaimed in a extremely jolly manner, giving the impression to Mission of his very vibrant and out going personality
"Heh, aren't you guys an colourful group" Mission remarked with a tone of amusement, she would interrupted by a another series of casual growls from Zaalbar who gaze seemed to be flicking between her and his meal. "Don't worry we are gonna go sit down, we were just wrapping up introductions" the blue girl explained to the large furry creature who nodded back. "You guys want to go eat now?".
"Considering I haven't had a damn thing to chow down on in days, why not" Sarge replied in agreement with the rest of the Reds who made their way over to Mission and Zaalbar who led them across the bar to the nearest available booth.
"Man I hope they have a burger on the menu" Grif exclaimed in excitement, if there was one thing that gave him the greatest joy in existence it was food and particularly the most tastiest and unhealthy forms of it.
"Grif we're on a different planet, I don't think they're gonna have burgers available" Simmons replied with a understandable take of reality.
"If they don't have burgers I'm just gonna go with whatever closest on the menu".
"And I'm guessing thats probably gonna be the most greasy thing on it ".
Meanwhile, a certain purple armoured figure found himself awakening on the surface of the Aegean-coloured floor surface of a well-lit metallic panel-lined hallway. To his immediate displeasure medical officer Dufrene or Doc as he was nicknamed, soon discovered that the area his head rested upon was a dust-filled section.
"Ugh, when was the last time somebody cleaned this floor!" Doc moaned in discomfort as he quickly got up off the ground, as far from the collection of dust as possible. "This place needs a touch of soap and detergent asap".
"Fool be quiet, we have more pressing matters than your pathetic squeamishness to insignificant specks of dust!" another more dramatic sinister-sounding voice condescended from his mouth. Reminding Doc of the other individual or antagonistic AI nicknamed O'Malley presently inhabiting his body and regularly taking control at times.
Suddenly, the possessed medic heard what sounded like a person with a deep, monotone voice talking in Spanish centimeters away. Turning his head, Doc saw that a brown helmeted head belonging to his robot ally Lopez, was lying on the ground.
"It appears our robotic friend has lost some weight" O'Malley chuckled darkly, noting the robot soldier lacking the rest of his usual metallic body. He then bent down to prop Lopez's head straight so it could directly face him," Lopez you fool, it appears your machine has had an unforeseen outcome".
"You told me to complete the device using those unknown technology parts from the lab" Lopez answered casually in Spanish.
"I told you to rebuild that device in order to cause mass destruction!, mass killing!, not bloody mass teleportation!" O'Malley reprimanded harshly.
"Eh I see this as a win, we got away from those mean jerks who were doing that awful twerking dance all over us" Doc reasoned to his other half.
"And right into unknown territory" the Ai argued back, "yessss a truly strategic move of brilliance" he drawled sarcastically. "Still this place does look like it has potential, I wonder what secrets lies beyond its unique metal walls" O'Malley commented as he looked around the area with intrigue.
"What I'm wondering is if we got any neighbours?" Doc asked.
As if on queue to answer the man's question, the hallway door suddenly opened up, and a squad of Sith soldiers marched armed with blasters quickly aimed at the strange pair of individuals in the hallway.
"Well well it does appears we have company" O'Malley commented in amusement as he fearlessly gazed back at the soldiers with strange armour designs pointing guns at him.
"Stay right where you are intruder!, how did you get on to this ship?!" one of the silver armoured soldiers demanded aggressively.
"A ship you say?" O'Malley queried with a tone of intrigue.
"Are you deaf?" the Sith soldier insulted," yes a ship, more specifically the Leviathan, the grand flagship of Lord Malaks fleet" he added.
"Interesting…" O'Malley remarked as he took this new information in, "tell me about this Lord Malak, is he a lord of….. evil".
"Lord Malak is the true ruler of this galaxy, the successor of Darth Revan, and the one who will crush the pathetic Republic under his boot" the Sith soldier informed dramatically.
Upon hearing this O'Malley let out a barrage of cackling laughter that left the entire group of troopers in complete puzzlement. "What are you laughing about you deranged lunatic?".
"Its your lucky day gentleman, it seems your Lord Malak is a man after my own heart" O'Malley stated to the somewhat still confused group of soldiers.
"What are you talking about?" another soldier asked.
"What I'm saying, is he and I are two like minded artists of destruction" the possessed medic explained."Once I am allowed to speak to your Lord Malak, you'll see".
"Why would we allow you to come before Lord Malak" one of the Sith soldiers retorted.
"Because my boy, he'll be grateful for the glory I will bring to your organisation and the delicious destruction I will cause in its name!" O'Malley ranted as he launched into a theatrical zealot-level speech. "Our collaboration will be legendary!, we will destroy the pathetic weaklings in this galaxy and all before us will fall, THE UNIVERSE WILL BE OURS!".
"We'll also create an all-exclusive healthcare, even empires needs a good self care system to run efficiently" Doc interjected, leaving the Sith soldiers utterly confused at the second new voice coming from the seemingly mentally unhinged even by their standards purple armoured man.
"Shut up you idiot!" O'Malley shot back in anger.
As this spectacle ended, the leading member of the Sith trooper squad took out his communication device, which he proceeded spoke into. "This is squad commander Carn, I have urgent news to inform Admiral Karath about".
On another more critical section of the Leviathan, a middle aged man with greying hair clad in a black and gold military uniform made his way across the ship's bridge. He eventually stopped some meters before his superior, who was busy gazing in concentration through the main viewport at another large ship cruiser displayed dominantly in white and dorsally coloured red under intense bombardment.
The individual in question was a tall very pale skinned man adorned with blue-grey tattoos on his bald head and a prosthetic metal jaw, he also wore red body armour with a half black cape draped over it. From looks alone, he appeared to be lost so deep in his staring that it would appear that something even beyond the current battle had gotten and gained most of his immediate attention.
"My lord" the man addressed the imposing figure who had yet to turn around to face him.
"Admiral Karath, I trust that you have important news to deliver?" a cold, raspy voice with a metallic edge returned from the still physically unresponsive man.
"Lord Malak, I wish to report that there has been an unexpected anomaly onboard the Leviathan" Admiral Karath informed.
"An anomaly?" Lord Malak replied with interest.
"Yes, one of our units has made contact in one of the lower hallways with what appears to be a strange demented man in purple armour and his even more abnormal companion, who seems to speak in an unknown language and also appears to be missing his entire upper and lower body save for his…. head" Admiral Karath answered, finding it hard to finish the last part for fear of how much of a lunatic he would sound like.
Upon hearing this, Lord Malak turned around to address him face to face finally, "how did they get onto this ship?" he asked, staring intimidatingly into his subordinate eyes.
"It is unknown Lord Malak, our sensors indicated that they just appeared out of thin air" Admiral Karath responded, all the while succeeding in hiding his nerves as he spoke.
Lord Malak narrowed his eyes as if deeply contemplating, "perhaps it is too much of a coincidence… though the timing cannot be denied".
"My lord?" Admiral Karath asked back in confusion at the cryptic response that his leader had provided.
"What is the current status of these individuals Admiral?" Lord Malak questioned with an authoritative tone.
"They are still in the lower hallways with one of our squads watching over them" the old admiral reported.
"Have them brought before me immediately Admiral Karath" Lord Malak ordered.
"As you wish Lord Malak" Admiral Karath replied before marching off to complete his task.
Strange and yet all too familiar sensations could be felt as her vision flickered back into place as she returned from the void of her unconsciousness, though for Tex, it felt like a sharp kick in the head to wake up to the real world. Memories quickly flowed one after the other as the Freelancer agent remembered her original objective.
Since being blown up by a certain moron as she called him in pink armour and being freed of the negative influence of her former AI Omega, Tex had had the solitary goal and drive to eliminate the aggressive artificial intelligence. So far, her attempts had been unsuccessful, with one failure occurring after the other, leading to the latter escaping each time.
Her latest attempt, which involved her trying to kill another freelancer agent turned bounty hunter Wyoming, led to her being outmanoeuvred by O'Malley, who captured her and tied her to a tree. What would occur next was something that she could only describe as one of the most bizarre things she had witnessed imaginable, but the result would be all the same, with her being freed to disarm the bomb currently implanted in Church's stomach.
However, it seemed that Tex was practically destined to fail as she arrived too late before the bomb went off, and she wound up being caught in the radius of the energy blast. She should be dead, but Tex soon found this not the case as she awoke and was greeted by the almost dusk lighting of the sky above her.
As she pulled herself up off the ground and looked around the area, Tex soon discovered she was surrounded for miles by what appeared to be an enormous grassland terrain filled with trees and various plateaus. From the look of the environment alone, Tex quickly deduced she was on another planet entirely, the icy landscapes of Sidewinder being a much different feel to the endless savanna of whatever the current location was.
Suddenly she heard loud voices coming from around the side of one of the nearby plateaus. Tex then activated her Freelancer armour enhancement, allowing her to vanish from visible sight. From there, the now-invisible former agent made her way over to the source of the commotion.
Upon arrival near the site, Tex saw what appeared to be a civilian standing near what appeared to be some antigravity vehicle. The man was being held at gunpoint by a figure in a full suit of blue body armor with a T-shaped visor on his helmet, also armed and acting seemingly as the armored figure cohorts were three other blue aliens with large red eyes and thin noseless and lipless heads.
"You've been holding out on us again," the blue armoured man accused with a sneer, "since you haven't given us enough money, I guess we're going to have to take it out of you piece by piece."
"NO PLEASE!, take my wife and child instead! Anything!" the civilian pathetically begged, the man's easy willingness to sell his own family instantly disgusting the freelancer agent.
The man in blue armour shot a plasma bolt from a firearm, which instantly pierced a burning hole through the civilian's chest and killed the man who toppled over." Mmmm, wife and child, sounds like a good idea" he jeered disgustingly over the civilian's corpse, reminding Tex that despite his armour he was no soldier, just a scumbag in military gear.
Having had enough of waiting around, the freelancer leaped into action; she quickly approached one of the blue aliens and decloaked behind him before wrapping her arm around his neck in a one-arm chokehold and using another arm to hold his hand firmly. With a robotic tight grasp, she broke the blue alien's blaster-wielding hand before forcing him to turn around and blast the two others with him.
She quickly jumped out of the way as the blue armored man shot a laser bolt at her, instead hitting the 3rd blue alien who fell over dead onto the ground. With a high level of speed, Tex circled the blue armored warrior whom she noticed was having a hard time keeping up due to being unable to turn his head to face her due to the restrictions of his helmet.
Tex unclasped an M6G Magnum from its holster on her belt before firing several shots that all hit their marks on the blue armored man. To her disappointment, the semi-armor piercing rounds merely bounced off the metal surface of his body suit.
"You dumb bastard I'm wearing Beskar!, your pathetic slug thrower can't hurt me!" the blue armoured man insulted.
Realizing that her firearms would be useless against the proclaimed "Beskar" metal her opponent's armor was comprised of, Tex decided to change her tactics. The freelancer reholstered her gun and then grabbed one of the plasma grenades from her belt before activating it and throwing it at the blue armoured thug.
As expected, the man took the bait and shot the grenade before it could hit him; as the explosive detonated, he was unaware of Tex, who rushed at him and knocked him clear off his feet with a sweeping kick. Dazed on the ground, the blue armoured man would be vulnerable to Tex's next move, which had her step over him and grab his left arm which was briefly held up in the air; the freelancer then proceeded to pull his arm against her knee and brutally bend it to the point of dislocating his arm.
The blue armoured man let out a howl of pain as Tex rendered his left arm useless before she grabbed his helmet and tore it free from his head with a certain degree of strength. The freelancer agent then chucked the headgear away and proceeded to kick the enemies blaster away before he could reach. Tex then focused her attention to the now exposed blue armoured thug who was now trying to crawl away from her, pulling out her magnum as she calmly walked over to him.
"Stupid idiot, don't you know who I'm working for? I'm with Sherruk!" the man spat in a mixture of anger and pain, "when he finds out what you've done, you're gonna be in a world of pain, he and the others are gonna make you wish you were dead!".
"Too bad he won't be able to save you" Tex remarked coldly as she aimed the gun at the blue-armored man's forehead.
With a single shot, the bullet tore through the man's head and splattered his brains over the grass and his blue armour.
Tex then took her eyes away from the bloody sight before checking the area to ensure the current location was utterly secure and clear of any more hostile enemies. To her satisfaction, Tex could see that no threats could be spotted in the nearby vicinity.
With that in mind, the freelancer's thoughts returned to the information she had gained from the man in blue armour. According to him somewhere on this continent or elsewhere entirely on the planet, there was a dangerous and aggressive group led by a man named Sherruk. Tex knew that by killing his men, she basically had made an enemy of him.
Tex reminded herself to keep a watchful eye on all fronts in case Sherruk and his gang of thugs tried to seek revenge against her, which was possible. Hopefully, in any case, the rest of them wouldn't be as much of a pain to take care of as the one in insanely durable armor she had just killed.
Her mind then ventured back to Red and Blues, who she knew had been caught in the blast of the bomb just as she was. Given her survival and teleportation to this place, the same had likely occurred for them. Thus Tex's primary goal as she set off into the savanna was that alongside defending herself from potential attacks there would be the priority to also to seek out the two teams. If there was one thing she knew, it was that with Church and the morons with him, trouble always seemed to be just around the corner.
Meanwhile, far off in another universe entirely, a certain Freelancer watched in amusement from the distance as the dust finally cleared from the prior explosion that had rocked the surface of Sidewinder. As expected, nothing remained of his target Tucker, Agent Texas, and the rest of the brain-dead buffoons when visibility returned to the scene.
"It appears dear Tex and her friends have been reduced to ashes, truly a tragedy of epic proportions" Agent Wyoming remarked sardonically before activating his communication device. "Come in Omega, the job is done, they're gone".
The only thing Wyoming would be met with on the other side of the receiver would be sharp static silence.
"I repeat the hit was successful…. chap are you there?" Wyoming said with a disturbed tone as the continued lack of any response and constant static ambience showed something was terribly wrong. "Omega?".
It wouldn't take long for the Freelancer to realise what happened to his AI ally as he looked at the radius of the explosion site, and soon, the reality of the latter's fate set in for Wyoming.
"Oh dear this is an unfortunate complication".
To Be Continued
Well I hope you all enjoyed the first chapter of what will be an awesome story. For those wondering about the lack of character perspectives on the Star Wars side of things for this chapter, I mainly wanted to capture it from the RVB character's perspective as stranded individuals in this new strange galaxy they've just arrived in. As we get to know our ever lovable KOTOR cast such as Vardan aka Revan himself, we'll start to see more from their personal POVs alongside other new characters as they get introduced to the main RVB crew. With that said I hope you all have a good day and as always, look forward to next time.
