1. Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Shade of Sols

At the Sol Shrine, there resided the princess of her kingdom. Her estate was not too far from her. Though she could return there in seconds due to her speed, she preferred staying at this location, overseeing the precious Sol Emeralds that remained afloat around her. This was how the princess, Blaze, chose to live life in these younger years of her's, with little to no disturbances. At least for a good while in her young life, until she was met a rather sudden ordeal. Filled with excitement, yes, but nonetheless will test her noble blood and worthiness to roles as Princess and Guardian to the Sol Emeralds. This came about when she was deep in thought, meditating with a book in her lap.

"[Sol Emeralds] Princess. Please Listen. It Is Time."

"[Blaze] (! What was that...The Emeralds? They never speak to me like this..And what time do they mean?)"

"[Sol Emeralds] Your Trials of Mysteries, Blaze."

"[Blaze] (Trials...? But where did this come from?)"

"[Sol Emeralds] In Times of Peace Such As These, It Is Up To The Guardian To Complete A Set Of Trials To Ensure Validity."

"[Blaze] (But I've done alot thus far, haven't I?)"

"[Sol Emeralds] Perhaps. However, This Is To Ready You And Your For Cosmic Powers That Be, Laying In Wake To Pose A Crisis For You, And The Sol Dimension."

"[Blaze] (Cant it wait? There aren't any threats yet. I have my own studies to get back to in a sec.)"

"[Sol Emeralds] Blaze. You Show Integrity, This Is Very Naive Of You. This Is Not A Choice of Your's In The First Place."

"[Blaze] (N-Naive? This is...A bit heavy-handed, dont you think?...Fine. Then what are these mysteries you speak of? How many?)"

"[Sol Emeralds] You Must Discover Them For Yourself."

"[Blaze] (What? So I have to find out what they are..That shouldn't be too bad, seeing how I can retu-)"

"[Sol Emeralds] You Must Also Solve Them. Until You Do, You Cannot Return To The Sol Dimension."

"[Blaze] *stands, looking at them* Now hold on! We're rushing things too fast here! I should be treated at least a bit better than this!"

"[Sol Emeralds] You Have A Lone, Poor Soul To Help, To Begin Your Task, To Carve A Path For The Both Of You."

"[Blaze] A lone soul? Who?"

"[?] (Um hello there, you must be Blaze.)"

"[Blaze] ! I heard him from within.. *sits back down, closes eyes* (Yes, and who might you be?)"

"[?] (Good question. I uh...Am kinda trying to find out myself. These are emeralds, right? All they told me is that you can help me find who I really am. Or rather...Who I was.)"

"[Blaze] (Possibly. I just wish I already had some leads to actually help out.)"

"[Sol Emeralds] You Will Be Sent To The Parallel Dimension. Your Trial Of Mysteries Begins Now."

"[?] (Well aren't these things slave drivers. If only I could remember what I am..)"

"[Blaze] (Tell me about it. They need to warn me better ahead of time when this happens again..-v-)" Blaze thought, with the hazy, lingering figure in her mind starting to glow, illuminating her body and covering the area in blinding whiteness. In seconds, the Sol Shrine was left without it's Emeralds being there. While no threat was present, the Shrine area was covered in black essence once the transportation was finished. This did no bode well for any onlooker that passed by, but this, after all, was how the Trial began.

Elsewhere, somewhere on Mobius, on stray mountain top, two individuals found themselves sparring with one another. Serious as it may seem, one was having more fun than the other. "*swings mouth-sword at him, misses and tries again with bigger swing, tumbles several meters away; digs fingers in the ground to stop* Grrrr! Dammit Kaien! Why don't you hold still?! Show those sicks moves already!" I shouted, "Tch! You dumb lil' runt. It's like you wanna be sent to the hospital. Try this then...! *sheathes both swords, digs a foot in the ground* Twin Blade Style.." Kaien began, "*runs in at him on all fours* That's right! Show me that one again! *takes out big blade on back* This time against my Ryogatana!" I said, leaping at him with a huge swing of the 9ft broad sword, "(I'll make sure you won't like this one bit!) Lion Sprint! *zips to me with a great impact, resheathing upon hitting me with a double-slashing attack, with enough force to send me flying 10 times further than before; sees how I was able to guard with the broadsword, but saw some blood coming out of my arms before my back landed on the ground* Now apologize for being so reckless! ovo" he told me, "*spits out a spurt of blood from mouth* Im...Sorry...Master Kaien...TT .TT" I said, "Call me God -M-" he told me, "O-ok...Sorry, God..." I replied, "Much better. Now get us some food. Gettin' beaten again must've made you hungry" he told me, "Im going...Just give me a minute here" I replied. That's Master Kaien Raiku for ya. Ever since we were kids, we always trained really hard together. Of course, he always won against me..I aint too down about it! I'll get him eventually! I keep getting closer after each try! Im already stronger than most people around me! Well except a good handful of people I fought...Or a dozen...Anyways, they're way easier than Kaien. Im sure he can take 'em all down if he wanted to. That Twin Sword Style of his is so awesome! He even gave me this big sword to master last year and I've been slowly but surely getting better with incorporating it into my own fighting style. What is my fighting style? I dunno honestly, but I fought alot of wild animals so I guess it'd be called the Wild Style? Still need a name for it. Oh and I fought a fair share of Mobians too. Alot of those guys can be fun to fight. They say they're way stronger than Humans, but hell if I knew what they're talking about. They seem pretty even to me. Well...All except one. That guy being Sonic. Actually he's the only guy I know that can beat Kaien. I'd love to see those two save the world together one day! That'd be really badass. They'd be unstoppable *u*!

Kaien's girlfriend was in-town today. When she's not busy knocking around Eggman's bots, she stays at her boyfriend's place to either train or make the best meals ever! I can smell her food a mile away like I am now, so I know where Im headin'! I make my mad dash over to her place, but once I got to the very bottom of the mountain, Im met with the nicest set of Mobian cheeks I've ever seen! T-this is pretty awkward...How do I tell her? "Wowwie! You got a really nice ass there, miss! o3o" I said out loud, "! *turns to me, giving me an angered stare* E-excuse me! Dont say that to a lady you just met! Where're your manners! /V/" she told me, "You want me to compliment your flat chest? -3- *gets blown up with a snap of her fingers and sent flying over dozens of trees* WWWWWAAAAAAHHH! XOX" I shouted, "...-V-# Maybe that'll learn him...(! Wait. I really shouldn't have done that, but wouldn't a normal person die from that attack? I might as well ask about what's going on with him Though, he better not say anything else that'll provoke me again if he knew what's good for him)" she said before dashing over to me.

"*gets up* Eeeeh...Man..That was up there with some of Kaien's moves..*looks down, still seeing shirt on fire* ! Whoa whoa! Hot! *pats it out, blowing on it* PHEW PHEEEEW! O O;;"

"You ready to stop fooling around now?"

"! *turns around to her* Look what the cat dragged in. What're you back for? You like me or something?"

"...NO. =V= *snaps at me again*"

"*explodes in a burst of flames* AAAAAAGGGGHHH! Stop blowing me up! The hell did I say?! *blows the fire out of my mouth* BLOOOO! BLOOOOO! How much fire do you have?! Im a dragon now! oO;;;"

"I'll stop once you quit being stupid with me. - _-"

"Ok ok! I'll focus! Just put this stuff out or something! *feels the flames dissipate in an instant* Uh! Pheeew...Thought that'd never go out..._ _;;;"

"You aren't Human...Are you?"

"Do I look like I have fur on me? *sees her raise her wrist and pinching two fingers* Hey hey, ease up!"

"Where'd you get this strength of your's from?"

"Well I've been training alot with Kaien. He's made me this strong since ever I was much younger."

"Who's this Kaien person?"

"He's God. *gets blown up and engulfed in flames again* AAAAAAGGGGHHH! What did I saaaay?! TToTT"

"I thought I told you to stop joking around. T.T"

"He told me to call him that! Ow ooouuch! *rolls around on the ground* SOHOTSOHOTSOHOTSO-! *feels the flames come off again* aaaah..."

"You should tell this Kaien person off. He sounds like he's a bad influence on you."

"Well..He may be a jerk but he's the best guy I know that can make me stronger."

"How about this? I'll train you myself for the time being. You have more things to explain to me."

"H-hold up now, I dont even know your name!"

"It's Blaze. Blaze The Cat."

"I had a feeling you were a Cat Mobian. You aren't from around these parts, aren't you?"

"No. In fact, Im from another dimension entirely. The Sol Dimension."

"Whooooa, what a chance to meet you here!"

"Im certain you have alot of questions for me too, but let me ask for a bit longer. For instance, what're you getting stronger for?"

"...Here, I'll explain it while on the way to Kaien's girlfriend's place. She'll make us some really good food."

"I suppose I didnt eat much myself...Very well then" Blaze complied, walking into town with me. Oh boy, do these Mobian girls be tempting me like no other. They still get difficult like your average everyday girl, but this one's starting to take the cake. I'd usually dodge any hit that'd come my way from them, but this cat girl is something else. Just like how her ass is something else...Im also noticing how different her clothes are. Gives off a sort of...How'd that one guy say it again..Regal? Yeah, it's a pretty regal look for her. I'd be lying if I said it didnt do something for me. They say that you can tell how good someone is at fighting by how they walk. Just strolling with her is giving off a really strong presence, even though if her strut is graceful, her light steps keep em on my toes. I may've been turned into her personal fireplace a second ago, but Im pretty eager to fight her. Preferably without dealing with that torching trick of her's! "(He may be dumb, but Im curious about how good he is with two vastly different swords. It'd be worth asking about them later, especially given how he said he's been training for a while)" Blaze thought to her as we were entering the streets of Gigalopolis.

Her place wasnt too far from our spot, just seven houses away. I think. I keep forgetting how to exactly get there cuz all I need is the smell of her food and next thing I know, already there! Blaze did get a bit frustrated at me on the way there after I was lost for about 15 minutes but it's what ev, we ended up getting there. I rung the doorbell and we found ourselves inside.

"*takes a big sniff* Are those dumpling-meaty kabobs Im smelling? You know those're my favorites! OqO"

"[?] Theses're met for Kaien, not you! Get just three for yourself. Not all 10 like last time!"

"[Blaze] Yes excuse his behavior. He was shy away from being a kabob himself when I first met him. -v-"

"You're just difficult. That's all there is to it. T ,T *gets shoulder lit on fire* OoO! H-hey, cut it out! *tries to pat out the flame*"

"[?] Well either she gives you the punishment you deceiver or someone else. You really can be an idiot sometimes."

"[Blaze] Ahem..My name's Blaze The Cat. What's your's?"

"[?] Just call me Jessica, or Jess for short. He probably already told you about his friend and I being together."

"[Blaze] More or less. What's your story?"

"[Jessica] Hmmmm...Where to start..Well I am helping him and Kaien train up to beat these shady guys."

"[Blaze] Do they have a name?"

"[Jessica] They call themselves The Dark Enforcers."

"[Blaze] That's a bit on-the-nose there.."

"They do have dark powers that we've been trying to fight off for a while."

"[Jessica] I might as well explain. Each of one of them are called Possessors. They can take control of people's bodies. The weaker members can only control us partially but the stronger ones..We dont have a way to fight them yet."

"[Blaze] How problematic..."

"[?] (Could I...Be able to do something about them?)"

"[Blaze] I can imagine that you've all been training against them but normal people wouldn't be able to survive my flames."

"[Jessica] Oh that...We dont know how it works, but it looks like certain people can fight off the influence of Enforcers. Those people gain superhuman strength and endurance afterwards."

"I've fought off two so far, but keep 'em coming! Im ready for more of 'em!"

"[Blaze] I get the picture so far..So people like him are also as strong as some of the Mobians."

"[Jessica] Bingo! You catch on quick, dont you, Blaze?"

"[Blaze] Do they have a leader by any chance?"

"Yeah. Some jerk named Specter, and Lance is his sidekick. We've been having trouble finding either of 'em and have been stuck with their goons."

"[Blaze] If I were to guess...If they have complete control over someone...How long does that last?"

"[Jessica]...We...Actually dont know. They could be controlled for as long as the person wants..It might as well be like that since they never come back when that happens."

"[Blaze] I see...That puts everyone in a pickle then."

"Speaking of food, let's fix some plates! I didnt come here to yap all day!"

"[Jessica] Alright alright, just hush and sit at the table! ovo" she told me, making me be at the table and Blaze did the same as if she was told the same. Blaze was also figuring that being Possessor does something to the mind. She wouldn't be too far off cuz we've yet to see any good come out of these guys. Well I'll think about all that dumb stuff later. I got me some food! Oooooh Jessy makes the best kabobs in town! And she made bowl of beef soup with some rice on the side? She thought of everything *U*! No way that Blaze can stay serious with this much great food in front of her! Boy, there has to be 5 of these grilled steak chunks on each stick! I went ahead and ate four sticks-worth of meaty goodness, which was made even better with all that meat sauce drenching the dumplings balls! By the time I got to the beef bowl, I was getting only kinda full but I went ahead and poured the whole soup on the big bowl of rice to get those nice and flavorful. All it took was a moment for me get through that bowl and my stomach was close to bursting u ! "*sees me stuffing my face in the bowl and eating every bit of the food in it* (I get that you love her food but this is just distracting..)" Blaze thought to herself with a raised brow, "*sighs* I know...It's practically the only way to shut him up. Then I have to hope he doesnt ask for more" Jessica comments to Blaze, "I can see that. *eats a handful of steamed broccoli and pieces of beef, then cuts up the teriyaki steak* You really have done a great job with the food. Im cutting through it all like butter" Blaze compliments, "*giggles* Thank you ^ ^. Nice to see at least someone appreciating my cooking for once. These boys should really take after you" she replied, "*starts eating the steak, wipes mouth after a few bites* Well I was raised in a kingdom. I'd be scolded to no end if I ate like some pig, like this boy here. *takes some more bites and drinks some water afterwards* Ahem hm...That should do for me. I very much appreciate the meal, ma'am U U" Blaze thanks, "*BUUURP* Me too, Jess! That was great! OuO" I shouted before wiping my whole face clean with a paper towel, receiving a low-brow stare from the two ladies. Blaze then was given a box to put the rest of her food in, seeing how she only ate half the steak. "I have more questions for all this but I have a bit of business to take care of with this boyfriend of your's. Afraid I'll have to knock him down a peg" Blaze told her, "If you're as powerful as you seem, please go easy on him. Yeah he doesnt mean too well, but he lets his strength get to his head" she told her, "Precisely why he needs a beating. Who knows how bad his ego can get. Let's go, mutt" Blaze said, "MUTT?! Where do you get off calling me tha-! Whoohohoah!" I shouted right before being yanked into the air by Blaze once she takes a leap with a fire jump, soaring up into the mountains that I came off of.

We landed on top of the mountain with a scorch on the ground happening where Blaze's feet touched. Kaien turned to her while doing a handstand push-up and hopped to his feet with a good thrust of his arm against the ground. "Heh, look what the cat dragged in. Or is it the other way around? What're you doin' with a Mobian hottie like this, lil bro? On a date?" Kaien asked with an excited smirk, "Hardly. *points at him* Im here to beat you down" Blaze told him, "You? Beat ME? HAH! Like to see you try, sweet-cheeks. *cracks knuckles* Im king of this big ol' rock in these parts. Fat chance I'll lose. If you think Im afraid to hit girls, you got another thing comin'!" he told her, "*takes a fighting stance with him* That is if you can hit me. Try not to turn into ash while you're at it" Blaze told him, forcing a chuckle out of him, liking her confidence. Oh man! Wonder how fast this'll go. Why do they feel so even?! I'll bet that she can keep her distance while blowing him up to win, but I dunno. Master Kai here has taken a ton of beatings from the strongest guys I've ever seen. He's pretty well-known for how damn tough he is too. "*notices a yellow gem in her jacket* What's that? If it's like a Chaos Emerald, put it away" he pointed out, "Catch. *tosses it backwards to me, has me hold on to it* Not that I need it, but good eye anyway" Blaze said. What is this anyway? I was about to ask her real quick but once I rose my head, the two were already clashing around each other and trading blows. Wow, they barely started too! Blaze traveled lines of flames in Kaien's direction, making him move out of their path but then they start to track him. "(Heh! Not bad. But!)" he thought to himself before stomping the ground, making a big chunk of rock lift the flames in the air, dissipating them, "(He doesnt strike me as a quick-thinker, but I'll keep note of this)" Blaze thought, "Twin Sword Style...! *notices her eyes widen, then sees her skate backwards with her feet on fire* Rhino Barrage!" he said, dashing at her at increasing speeds, scratching the ground as the got closer. "*rolls past him once he struck down with both blades* (Close. Now then!) *casts a hand out, blowing him up where he stood before backflipping away, but sees him rushing out of the flames this way right before landing with both of his blades held out in front, both pointed to the left* ! (He's persistent!)" Blaze reacts, bending backwards to dodge under the attack, then does a timely upward kick to his wrists, flinging his swords in the air, and kicks him back with the other leg, jolting into his chest, causing an explosion on him in that spot. Right when she notices that it knocked the wind out of him, Blaze went ahead and snapped to blow him up again, hearing a loud agonizing scream this time. "(Did that do it?) *suddenly gets pressed down from behind by him* ! *kicks him in the head, making him stumble away before hopping back on feet* Do you ever give up? You have to realize you're outmatched by now! *sees him try catching his swords from the air but only caught one before dashing in* Pathetic...Im through with you" Blaze said under her breath before swiping her arm, casting out a big fireball, making him collide with it, making an even bigger explosion than the others, flopping him high into the air by it and crashes into the ground hard, shoulder first. He was awfully injured at this point but even then, he was getting back up slowly, but Blaze threw her Sol Emerald at his head, making him lay back down. Wow, I didnt even know she took it out of my hand. She's way faster than I thought. Alot like Sonic...I wonder what their connection is now. Im starting to see a good amount of him in her. "That settles that. Hopefully he'll have some more sense when he wakes up. For now, let's go to your place to talk things over some more. I just wanted to do this real quick. Im ready for your questions" Blaze told me, "Uh r-right. Home's this way!" I replied, showing her the way to my place. The trip only took 20 minutes and once we got there, she saw how patchy the place looked. Big metal spots and duct tape all over most of it. Heheh, I guess it really sticked out like a sore thumb in the neighborhood, huh? ^ ^; A few houses didnt look too pretty either but mine still looked the worst. I opened the door and we sat across from each other in my room. On the way there, she couldnt help but notice all the cracks and holes in the walls and floors. She held her arms folded with her eyes shut. Oh man, that isnt good, right? How's she gonna start this off?

"Uh Blaze? Is there something you wanna a-"

"Mind telling me how much of this is your doing?"

"W-wait what?!"

"This house of your's. How much of the damage is your's?"

"Oh, you mean that? Hmmmmm...Hmmmmmmm..-V-"

"You...How is it that you dont know?"

"Now that you mention it..I've been pretty forgetful lately. There're days that I just blank out on."

"(Blank out? For days? I wonder...Does it have to do with that group we're up against?) Ever thought if it's possibly due to the Enforcers Jessica mentioned?"

"Oh! That might be it! You're so smart, Blaze! ouo"

"(It's...Rather basic observation..T T)"

"They haven't been attacking that often, so I honestly dont really know."

"It sounds to me that it'd be something they'd want. The less suspicions, the better. It really looks like our bad guys are a smart bunch themselves."

"I'll say. It'd take me forever to figure any of this out. ^ ^;"

"Do you even read? = ="

"I've read books before!...A few times.. ;;"

"(Something tells me even that's not true.) In any case, to know where look, we'd have to think like them. Where would we hide if we were them?"

"I dunno know."

"Would it kill you to at least try to think? =V="

"What? I really dont, ok!? Not like you do either, flat-cat.- .- *feels a growing flame appear on my shoulder, tries to put it out and falls out of my chair* PHEEEW! PHEEEW! Ok ok! I wont mention about your butt again! *sees the fire get even bigger* OK IM SORRY! TTOTT"

*makes the fire disappear with a snap* (He sure likes mentioning about it..A bit too much for my liking..- -;) If we're short on ideas, then it looks as if we have to wait patiently for them to do something."

"G-good enough for me...TT TT"

"Still, some investigating wouldnt hurt to pass time. *looks at my blades* Those swords of your's. How exactly do you use them? I've never seen such a style before."

"Oh these? *gets up, and holds both the normal and broadsword out in front* Left one is Bokuzachi and the bigger one's Ryogatana! I named them myself!"

"What style do you use for them?"

"My own style of course."

"What's the style called then?"

"Umm...Wild Style?"

"You mean you dont know that either? I could've been sure you said you've practiced with them for a while!"

"Well Im sorry I didnt come up with anything during all that time. Besides, I dont have time to think of anything while Im training or fighting."

"(I doubt you think in general...= =;) W-well surely you have the technique to use them."

"You kiddin' me? They never know what hit 'em when I start swin'!"

"How are you against the Enforcers then?"

"I tend to be pretty even, but I usually need help. Knowin' them, they must be stronger now. They seem to be getting tougher over time but they dont look like they train at all."

"{Do you think...Maybe they have souls like me in them?}"

"(Not sure...But it may be possible) I've yet to tell you, but there's been a voice in head that I started hearing before I came to this dimension."

"Do you need to see a doctor?"

"! No, not like that! What I mean is that there seems to be someone within me. In spirit, that is."

"Oooooooh...What about it?"

"W-well..I've appeared due to being tasked by the Sol Emeralds to come here and solves the problems made by them in this world. I only have one of them."

"Wait..Emeralds? Is there 7 like the ones here?"

"That is correct."

"Then if I were to guess...You should be able to go back when we find the rest of them!"

"While that...May be true, I only need a few to get back, but chances are that they'll throw me back to this dimension. I've been put to the task, remember?"

"Oh...That's right...If only solving mysteries was something Im good at.. ;;;"

"Im afraid we'll need someone else that has a good head on his shoulders.."

"My head is good though! It's never been cracked in months now!"

"(That's..Not what I meant by that saying..But here, let's humor him) What's 3x9?"

"T-times? Uh...It's 12, right?"

"It's settled. Finding someone with the brains and physically capable like you and Kaien is yet another priority for us."

"*siiiighs* Fine, I'll just make sure I beat anyone that gets in the way..(￢ ￢;)"

"Did I happen to..Strike a nerve?"

"Oh no no, dont worry about it. At least we're not like the Red Wing.."

"The who now?"

"They're a bunch of ragtags that think they'can stop Eggman's bots and all these other threats. I would've joined them but I dont like how they go about everything."

"(Sounds to me that he's had enough history with them..) Then let's pay them a visit. Maybe I can straighten them out too."

"Alright. I'll let you handle them. They might still be upset with me turning down. I'll show you where they are" I replied, walking out of the house with her. They were right in the middle of the city, so they can get to any dangerous activity more reliably than anywhere else. Well, at least that's what they mentioned before. It sounds like a good idea but I dont think the placement matters that much. Then again the building, Freedom Tower, is hard to miss since...It's got these big wings on it and three colored sections. I know, even I can tell how bold these guys are with all this. Still, this aint a group I'd wanna be with. Flat-cat was in a bit of a rush to get there, and I could barely catch up, so we ended up getting there within three minutes. "*gasps, pants* Pheeew, could you ease up a bit? What's the rush anyway? - ;" I asked, "*stops in front of the building* I want some time to think more about our next move. We dont have much info, remember? *turns around, looking up the tower* They really know how to stand out with this place" Blaze comments, "*looks down at her* (G-geez, even from this distance, it's like those cheeks are staring at me / /) Umm..We kinda have to wait til someone gets to us in the lobby...Mind sitting in my lap to pass the time? /u/" I asked, "Wha- What's with you? We're supposed to be focused here _v_" she replied, "I mean if you really wanna know..I've went out with a few cat Mobians before and never got them off my mind since then. You're kinda my favorite type out there /U/" I told her, "*siiiighs* Look, you're barely any better than a certain friend Im close to. He at least respects me e e" Blaze said back, "Respect eh? I can do that! After you sit on my lap, that is! :3" I replied, "How hopeless can this guy get...*hears the door opening from behind, turns back around* Who's there?" Blaze said, seeing no one behind the door but was still ready for anything. After a moment, a panther Mobian lady in a red magical girl skirt came out of the entrance. Who is she though? Have they started to recruit more Mobians recently? "*scratches head with wand* What's your business with us? We're in the middle of somethin' here T T" she told us, "What'd be so important that no one's out fighting bad guys? And who might you be?" I asked, "Flare, now leave. Flare called out, "(T-troublemakers? We just came for a freakin' visit! Besides, this was flat-cat's idea! oVo)" I thought to myself, "*shyly comes up next to Flare, holding wand close to chest* A-alright big sis...P-please tell them to go easy on me...*notices me blushing then sees me look away* (D-d-d-d-does he like me already?! B-b-but we just met! /;) C-c-call me Cleru The Magicat. I-It'll help me feel calm my nerves.././;" Clare reacts, "*bonks her head with wand* Get it together already. Boss wants guys like these to be sent packing -V-" Flare told her. I can see who wears the pants in the family..But this is another girl I've never seen before. Even more confusing that she's paired up with a girl like her, or be sent to fight at all. "Hey Flare. I'd really appreciate it if you didnt bully your lil sis" I told her, "Who're you to tell me, wise guy? Mind your business already! *swings wand at me, sending a big fireball with dark blue sprinkles around it at me, but sees me bat it away with my Ryogatana blade* ! So you're one of those guys..But what the hell's that sword made out of?" Flare then asked, "I dunno, but maybe you didnt hear me right..*looks at her with a tense stare* You better treat your lil sis better...Or else not only you're going down, but Imma take this whole place down too!" I shouted, "(W-where'd this come from? I thought this mutt was no more than Kaien's dumb little lapdog)" Blaze thought while taken aback, "Heheheheh! You? Taking out this whole place on your own? I dont care how strong you think you are, you wont get past me, kid. Hope you got what it takes to make this fun for me. Clare, you know what to do" Flare then said, "R-right! I uhh..(No one...Ever stood up for me like that..What do I do? I-I cant just let big sis down..She'll cook me for sure!) I just need a sec!" Clare replied. These guys..It looks like they haven't learned from the last time I came here...This is why I aint with them..They dont really care about the weak..They're only in it for themselves and the money from those they helped..There's nothing good about any of that... "Where's Rock? He's still here, isnt he?" I asked, "Never heard of 'im. Must be some guy that couldnt make the cut" Flare replied, "('He said you did great out there? Alright Rocko. Hope you put these guys on the right track') No...I know he was good for you guys! He trained with me and Kaien when were little! He has to still be here! He has to...If you guys made him quit for whatever...I swear...!" I uproared, "Guess what lil man. No one cares T V T" Flare told me, sending another fireball with a hand my way but at my feet this time, blowing me away with it's explosion, "(F-Flare..Why would you say that? I care...)" Clare lowly thought to herself. Flare waved her wand a few times and explosions happened at my feet to my surprise, forcing me to run around them before I thought about jumping in the air to avoid them all together, "(Got you)" she said in her head, exploding me in the air as well, with my Ryogatana blade flinging out of the fiery smokes it left, "Heeey! Dont push yourself if you're having issues up there!" Blaze worriesomely shouted for me, "*falls to the ground, landing on a knee, causing a series of cracks beneth me, wiping blood from my mouth* I wouldnt worry..Your flames hurt alot more than this.. - v" I told her, "I'd stop while you're ahead, kid. I'll sweep this under the rug if you just run off" Flare told me, "I dont think so! Blaze, stay back! This one's mine!" I shouted before putting my Bokuzachi blade between my teeth, and grabbed my other sword before zipping to her. She eneded up seeing nothing but wind and debris kicked up from me with my sudden burst of speed, "! (He really is one of those superhumans!) Clare! Dont just sit around! Help out already!" Flare told her, "R-r-right! Here goes, big sis! M" Clare replied, putting glowing spots on the ground, mostly littering them in front of Flare, "(They have some warmness to them..They're traps!)" Blaze realized, seeing them blow up as I got closer to Flare but was still able to swing down on her with my mouthed Bokuzachi, which gets collided with her wand. "Drrrrgh! You annoying little-! *notices me trying to do a rising slash with my Ryogatana* (This bastard!) *jumps back, in time for it to miss but the slash's strike left a big, powerful impact with shot through the ceiling* (How's a guy like him this damn strong?! Even compared to the other superhumans!) *sees me leaping forward for another swing* (If I take a hit from him, Im good as screwed!) *wraps tail around my waist while falling back, reducing my speed* (Gotcha!)" Flare thought to herself, landing a bite into my shoulder, slamming me into the ground, ramming into the wall and threw me out with a spin while her teeth were still bitting down on me. "I-Im sorry! Im just trying to help big sis like she'd want! Please dont think less of me! " Clare said while bowing, "Heh..*gets up* No need to apologize..I aint blamin' anyone...Besides..Im all warmed up now. *sees Flare's brows jump* What if I told you..I can still go faster? O O" I said, "What?...You're bluffing..There's no way yo- *sees me drop the Ryogatana and seemingly vanish* ! Where'd he go?!" Flare reacts, "*gives her a kick behind her back, sending her flying out of the entrance, then sees her throw out a big spiraling fireball my way* Swift Style...!" I began, "*sees the fireball get diced in many pieces* (HOW THE HELL?!)" she reacts, "Swallow's Dance! *goes even faster, making a speed clone that was slightly ahead of me, doing a dozen hortizontal swings with it* Clashing Hydras!" I shouted out, surprising everyone as I was seemingly cutting her from above and below, "(GYAAAAAGHH...WHAT...WAS THAT?)" she reacted while blood spurted from her mouth, her stomach and her back, "Oh no! Flare! *sees me and her explode suddenly* NO FLAAAARE! O" Clare reacted, "Did she just...? O O" Blaze also reacts, not believing what she saw either. The two of us fell to the ground after being blown up an extra 40ft by her flames, burning while struggling to move. "Tch, just when I thought one reckless fool was bad enough" Blaze said, swiping both her hands outward, getting all the fire off of us. "*catches breath* (Damn...Never been so burned in my life..I can..Barely feel my arms..My legs..or even my..) *raises my hands up in front of me, seeing them covered in blood, going past my wrists in seconds* (Oh no...That did way more than I thought..Dont tellme Im bleeding all over too..)" I thought to myself, "*walks up to me, seeing how badly hurt I am* You. *sees Clare jump in place* Dont you have any first aid? *sees her nod vertically* Take care of him. Im going fo-" Blaze was telling her but is interrupted by me grabbing her hand, "N-no..Im...Going too..eV;;;" I grunted out, "Cant you see you're in really bad shape? You're just overexerting yourself now" Blaze told me, "Stop worrying about me! Ghhn! I took..All those fire attacks from you, right? I can...Make it!" I insisted, "I..I can heal him! *gets both of our attentions* I also have healing flames..It isnt much but..He should be good after a few minutes.." Clare told us. It took Blaze a moment of consideration, but she ended up deciding to leave me in Clare's care. "I'll be back. Thanks for the help...Cleru" Blaze farewelled, leaving Clare with a blush and her sister chuckled to herself, holding a good impression from Blaze.

She made her way up the very tall building. It was the most flight of stairs she ever went up on. She didnt keep too much track but she guessed to herself that this must've been at least 30 floors she was trying to go through. It filled her with anticipation but she didnt let it deter her and suppressed it with the task on her mind. "(Im sensing something..It's familiar...This might be the right path for us after all!)" the internal entity said, "(We might be able to know what or who you really are then. Let's hurry)" she mentally replied. Blaze saw the sun going down through the many windows the building had, deciding to speed up, soon finding herself running up the stairs. After clearing a dozen more floors, she started hearing murmurs from above and could make out some of the words. It all didnt seem good from what she heard. She can only hope it isnt too bad and is something she can go off of. Well, it's all up to fate now once she opens a big set of doors she's in front of. Both of her hands were placed on the doors for a moment before pushing them open, seeing a bunch of people, most with their own outfits in front of a big desk with a gray wolf Mobian lady sitting at the edge, and the head of them behind it.

"[Henchmen 1] *shoots several bullets at her but they get vaporized by a flash of her fire wall* Ghn! Boss, she's a tough one!"

"[?] *turns to her* H-huh? Who might you be?"

"[?] Geheheheee, look what the cat dragged in. TwT"

"[Blaze] Please..I'd appreciate it if you refrain from those jokes."

"[Henchmen 2] Boss, no one's supposed to come in on us!"

"[?] Let the kitty-cat speak. She doesnt seem to do us no harm."

"[Blaze] As long as you dont get on my bad side."

"[?] Oooooo kitty's got claws, boss! I'd love to play with her. \u/"

"[?] Mary, let's not provoke the guest. Let's see what she wants."

"[Blaze] I want answers. What's going on here? Aren't you all supposed to be protecting the city? *looks over to the guy in red jacket* You must be Rock. Am I right?"

"[Rock] How do you...Dont tell me.."

"[Blaze] A close friend of your's got hurt trying to get inside here. He's recovering."

"[Rock] So it was him...Im so sorry.."

"[Mary] What timing too. He's getting ready to quit."

"[Blaze] Wait, quit? What for?"

"[Rock] We have some..Different views. So Im afraid I gotta go."

"[Blaze] How different?"

"[Mary] Weeeeeell there's the whole independent thing, getting into fights with other memebers, not going to my shows, being gone for days on end, do I have to get going?"

"[Blaze] That is fine. Now what do you guys know about these Dark Enforcers?"

"[Rock]...(Not the best time to bring this up, little girl..)"

"[Mary] Should we tell her, big boss or you think curiousity will kill this cat?"

"[Blaze] I thought I told you not to mock me like that...-V-"

"[Mary] Or what? You're gonna beat me? Fat chance of that. UuU"

"[Blaze] Oh yeah? *casts a hand for a moment but sees nothing happen* What..?"

"[Mary] *twirls two wands around in one hand* You'll have to try harder than that, flat-cat. My magic is real good against fire. \u/"

"[Blaze] (He better not've gotten that name from her..It's bad enough when he says it..eVe)"

"[?] Mary, let's not start anything, ok? She came for answers, we'll throw her a bone."

"[Blaze] Thank you. Call me Blaze."

"[Claude] And my name's Claude. I've been watching these Enforcers for a while now, back in my private eye days."

"[Mary] *giggles* You made it sound like forever ago, but isnt that a two years gap from now?"

"[Claude] Maybe, but alot happened during those two years. Monsters started appearing like crazy back then and caused everyone a bunch of trouble."

"[Blaze] Monsters? But I've yet to see any."

"[Claude] Due to our work, they've become hard to find, just like these Enforcer members. Care to take a wild guess?"

"[Blaze] Hmmm...If I were to corrolate between the two, those guys must be able to make these monsters. How accurate is that?"

"[Claude] Smart girl. You got most of it. Looks like they can not only do that, but they can make more of themselves and they can pass as regular-lookin' people. That's the scary part. *looks at Rock* We've suspected that he's one of 'em."

"[Blaze] But his friend that I've met mentioned about knowing Rock since childhood."

"[Claude] Meaning that there's a chance that these guys can predate to before I was part of the force...Now with what we've looked into recently, we have a bit of a chicken-or-the-egg sort of deal. Even within their higher ranking members, the Dark Tormentors."

"[Blaze] I see...That is troublesome. I guess these monsters can make more of themselves as well?"

"[Rock] Yeah...I've seen it with my own eyes. Though it was only a few times, so maybe that breed is rare."

"[Claude] Even then, we're coming up short on telling the difference between Enforcers and real people."

"[Rock] Well..Other than when it's too late, and you get possessed by them."

"[Claude] Or when you sense them...Right, Rock?"

"[Blaze] (Oh...So only members and their monsters are the only ones that can sense each other..I can see why else he'd have to quit now.)"

"[Mary] Cut him some slack, boss. I wanted him to stay, but he still said no when I told him was I was gonna give him some ."

"[Rock] That's cuz Im not into Mobians..e e"

"[Mary] Well you're missing out."

"[Blaze] (Does any of this sound familiar?)"

"[?] (Not really...What's even weirder is that what I felt suddenly went away..)"

"[Blaze] (As if it left?)"

"[?] (Yes..In fact it feels like that.)"

"[Blaze] (Hmm...) I was wondering. This is a really big building. You'd figure that there'd be alot of members inside. Were they dispatched?"

"[Claude] See, whenever they're out, most seem to never come back. We dont know what the deal is there. There was 32 of us, now we're down to 7."

"[Rock] I know where one of are, but..Imma have to tell her about me stepping down."

"[Blaze] Another friend of your's?"

"[Mary] More like more than a friend. Those two get all touchy-feely when no one's looking. TwT"

"[Rock] W-we aren't like that, ok? I was showing her some moves of mine and she wanted to try 'em out, but she needed a bit of hands-on help."

"[Mary] Riiiiiight. -w-"

"[Blaze] ('Other than when it's too late, and you get possessed by them'..) I think I have an idea about why these people dont come back. I'll look into it, but Rock, you're coming with me. Let's go."

"[Rock] Alright then. Well Claude, it was nice knowin' ya."

"[Mary] *sees him walk away with Blaze; whispers* Boss, that was quite a bit of info you gave 'im. You sure lettin' them leave is ok?"

"[Cluade] *whispers back* Already ahead of ya. Cant be too safe, so I recorded the whole thing. Team 12 should take care of 'em."

"[Mary] Keheheheeeh~, let's see them get past those guys. \u/"

"[Claude] And you know what to do if they happen to fail."

"[Mary] Thaaaat's right. Im sure Flare wouldn't mind helping too. \w/" she said under her breath with her boss right before they shut the door. A minute into their descension of the building, Blaze felt like she was quite a ways from being out of danger yet. The air between the two grew more and more stiff. Only thing that was taking her mind of it were the various rooms she was able to see that they were passing, including a game room, a laundry spot, a cafeteria, several training floors for sparring and praticing on dummies, even a computer room. Still, Rock's lingering aura made her hesitant to talk to him. Of course he noticed this uncomfortableness and extended out a hand, only for it to be blown away when Blaze turned to him, making them both jump back. "Sorry about that..I was just.." he tried to say, looking listless, "Hey! I heard an explosion! WHat's-! *GASP* Rock? Rock, is that you!? O O" I react, running up to them as they looked down through the stair gaps, with me being a floor from them, "Oh hey, bud. Glad to see ya. Just wish you looked better" Rock greets, "Yeah I know. That Flare girl I fought ended up doing a major number on me but I got her really good too. Her lil sis was able to heal me up almost all the way. So what's the deal? Why're you two together? You like flat-cat or somethin'? *sees Blaze's hand start to fire up* F-forget I asked! o o;;;" I was asking, "(I mean she is really cute but..u/u) I dont..Have a thing for Mobians, remember? Anyways I just got done telling these guys Im quiting. Now I need to let Trina know too" he tells me, "Oh that's great! I knew it was about time you cut ties with 'em. Hope you did as much as you could for those 5 years. Must've been hard, given how shady they can be to work with" I comment, "Over time things got pretty hectic for us. I couldnt save everyone but I did what I could. Wait til I tell you about what Blaze walked into" Rock said to me. By the time we got to the ground floor, we caught each other up to speed with what's been going. Rock had a few more details he didnt mention to anyone however, since he really didnt trust the Red Wings about it. With his ability to sense the monsters and people in the Dark Enforcer group, he was able to make a list of the 10 members, who were not only from that group, but also from within the ranks of the Red Wings. Most even came from them too! Unbelievable! How careless could they be?! I bet they wanted them to join since their really strong and could get the job done better than their Mobian and more normal members oVo. I knew I couldnt trust them..So those monsters I started seeing a few weeks ago came from them as well. Though...Apparently Flare was also on that list..I dunno how Im gonna break it to Cleru. It might break her lil heart. Then again, I did feel like she was considerate towards us, so she should be on our side in no time. Speaking of them, they sat in front of the entrance and saw us walk out. "Be careful with that guy you're around. He loves starin' back there" Flare told Blaze, "Dont remind me. I'll give him a piece of my mind soon enough -V-" Blaze replied, "It saw me first, ok?" I tried to excuse myself, "Well my foot is gonna see your's if you so much as look at me or my sister funny. Got it, pal? T.T" Flare told me, "Ok ok, I wont look at you two so much then. Well Blaze is more of my type anyway, so this goes mostly to her" I replied, "(This guy's good as dead if he keeps runnin' that mouth of his oVo)" Flare thought with boiling anger, "Do you..Think he looks at me like that, sis..? *sees her turn this way* N-not that-! I mean! I-I'd wanna go with them for a bit..I-If big sis doesnt mind../;" Clare asked, "...2 hours. Any longer, and Imma find you and drag your little ass back here -V-" she allows, "*hops in place in glee* Thank you thank you, big sis! I-I'll be back in no time! I promise! ^w^" Clare told her before running of, "*leans back on the stairs, looking in the sky; siiiiighs* What the hell does she see in that kid? He's just some loser who wishes he could.." she comments. "H-hey! Hey you three! Imma join you for a bit! Is that ok? /w/" Clare asked with a happy tone in her voice, "Oh Cleru? You wanna go with us? Well we shouldnt be out for long so I guess it's alright" Rock said, "I dont see a problem. Sure thing, lil' Cleru ^ ^" I told her, "(Haaaaaah~ H-he called me by my magical name! D-does he really like it? /W/)" she thought with a more obvious blush, "Actually, how old are you, Clare? T T" Blaze brought up, "I just turned 18 owo" Clare answered, "(! How is she..A year older than me?) You..Sure dont act like it.." Blaze points out, "*giggles, plays with pink hair strands between fingers* It's..Kinda why I wanted to be a magical girl. I really look it, dont I? /w/" she replied, "I suppose so.." Blaze said back to her. Cleru then snuggled against my waist while holding me, making me blush. When I looked back at flat-cat, she looked away, as if she didnt notice. Ooooooo is someone getting jealous? Ooo! Maybe I can use this so she doesnt blow me up as much! This might have some fun after all TuT. However, two Mobians, a falcon and an eagle, were hot on our trail as we got closer to this arcade place. Rock sensed them, of course feeling how familiar they were. He knew they were the Red Wings he was with. He kept his belt with 5 Change medals at the ready, aiming to protect himself and others from this danger. The pursuers laughed maniacally as they further plotted their attack, further putting Rock on edge as he feels their dark aura expanding. As we entered, Rock was considering to call up a special friend as backup, but he believes him and the friend inside should be enough to handle this threat.
