Later in the day, the ship sailed throughout the sea, and in the hallway, Hunter handed a lavender dress to Tati.
Hunter: Here, I brought you a dress.
Tati held it up and looked at the inside of it. It seemed a bit too large.
Tati: (chuckles) You Mean you bought me a tent.
Clover snickered a bit.
Hunter: What? It seemed like the right size for you. And What're you looking for?
Tati: (examining the dress) The Toonscow Circus, It looks like it's still in here.
The man, however, didn't seem to laugh.
Hunter: Come on, just put it on.
He then went upstairs while Tati held up the dress and looked pleased at it.
Tati: Hmm.
As the sun was going down, Hunter and Izuku Midorya were on deck playing a game of chess, while Luz was playing cards with King . Izuku smiled in satisfaction that he had beaten his partner.
Izuku: huh. I-I never thought I'd win
Then the four saw Tati arrive on deck, in her new dress all fixed up, while her hair was tied in a bun. Their jaws dropped, for she looked amazing.
Luz: Marviloso! You look like Grand Duchess Now
Izuku: (stunned) Whoah, you look...wonderful in that uniform.
Luz: And now that you're dressed for a ball, you will learn to dance for one as well.
Izuku: (to Hunter) Hunter, if you would.
He brought his colleague over to her, but the latter felt a little nervous.
Hunter: Oh but I'm not very good at it.
Tati then put out her arms to dance, as Hunter awkwardly positioned himself to dance with her. He placed one hand on her waist and grabbed her hand with the other while Tati placed her arm on his shoulder and held onto his other hand. They were both now in dancing position and Tati started leading them while Izuku counted them off into the waltz.
Izuku: And one, two, three. One, two, three.
He then got between the two, stopping the dance.
Shrek: Oh uh N-Nonono, Tati. Y-You're supposed to let him lead.
So she then let the nervous Hunter led as waltz music began playing, and Izuku sat back down, watching them, as did Luz and King. Hunter led the waltz as Tati followed.
Hunter: That dress is really beautiful.
Tati: (blushes) Really?
Hunter: (stammers a bit) Y-y-yes. I mean, it was nice on the hanger but it looks even better on you.
She spun her around for a bit.
Hunter: Y-you should wear it.
Tati: I am wearing it.
Hunter: Oh, right of course. Of course, you are. I'm just trying to give you a...a...
Tati: Is that a Compliment?
Hunter: Yeah, exactly.
She smiled as they swirled into the dance, continuing it. Izuku watched this as he held Clover on his shoulder. Luz and King saw this too, and all three of them knew what was happening: they were beginning to fall for each other.
King of Demons: (smirks) I think I see what's going on here.
Luz: (Grins) I figured it out a long time ago.
Izuku: (singing) It's one, two, three, and suddenly
I see it at a glance
She's radiant and confident
And born to take this chance
Luz: (singing) We taught her well
King of Demons: (singing) We planned it all
Izuku then got concerned about their and Hunter's plan, and what may happen between Hunter and Tati afterwards.
Izuku: (singing) I just forgot romance
Luz: (singing) Deku, how could you do this?
King of Demons: (singing) How will we get through this?
He then shook his head.
Izuku and Luz: (singing) I never should have let them dance
The two gradually slowed their dancing.
Tati: I'm feeling a little dizzy.
Hunter: Kind of light-headed?
Tati: Yeah.
Hunter: I am too, probably from the spinning
At this time, they have stopped dancing, but he couldn't let go of her hands.
Hunter: Maybe we should stop.
Tati: (whispers) We have stopped.
The two couldn't stop staring at each other, as if they were ready to fall into a kiss.
Hunter: Tati, I...
Tati: Yes?
They couldn't stop staring at each other and were slowly moving closer and their lips almost met, but Luz's squeaing stopped them. Hunter then pulled himself back and smiled.
Hunter: You're doing fine. You'll make A real top-notch waltz dancer.
He patted her hand and headed back downstairs to their cabin, with Tati confused.
King of Demons: Way to go, Luz
Luz: What? They were being cute! As Hooty would say, They kinda deserve the happiness.
That night, the ship was travelling over the North Sea and the ones aboard would be arriving in Toonris early in the morning. Tati's group were in a cabin, with Hunter sound asleep in a makeshift bed on the floor, leaving a bunk bed for Luz Noceda, with a cat basket bed for King of Demons, and another bunk bed for Izuku and Tati. The four sat on the floor, as Tati was in her PJs and brushing her hair. Izuku was against the walls of the room, groaning and looking somewhat sickly, to Tati's notice.
Tati: (quietly) Oh...are you all right?
Izuku: Oh, Yeah, I'm fine. Just riddled with envy is all. (gestures to Hunter) Look at him, he can sleep through anything, even an earthquake. I bet he could even sleep through a mumbling habit people say I tend to have heroes or powers in a different dimension.
Tati: (confused) What?
Izuku: Nevermind
Even as the ship tilted, Hunter still remained asleep. Clover flew up onto the suitcases and then into Hunter's satchel bag, and the music box that Hunter had slid out of it and stopped near Tati. She picked it up, and looked at it with wonder and awe. She then felt familiar with the object as some sort of memory came to her mind.
Izuku: Lovely jewelery box, isn't it?
Tati: Jewelery box? Are you sure that's what it is?
Izuku: Well what else could it be?
Luz: I keep saying it looks more like a music box
Tati: Luz might be right about that. Could be Something special. (continues looking it over) I Think it might hold a secret.
Clover then nuzzled Tati's feet, pulling the navy Blue-haired woman out of her thoughts, making her laugh as she put the music box back in the bag.
Tati: Do you think that's possible?
Izuku: (climbs up in his bunk) Anything's possible. You did teach Hunter how to waltz, didn't you?
She put the music box in her backpack, laughing a bit as she picked up Clover and placed her on the end of the bottom bunk, before curling up under the blankets and shutting off the light. She puts her glasses on the side desk as Clover crawled over as Tati held the bee palisman close to her.
King of Demons: Finally, King need his nappy (sleeps on his basket like any dog)
Izuku: Sleep well, your majesty.
Tati spoke some last words to her bee for the night.
Tati: Sweet dreams, Pavlova.
She then fell asleep, while in the underworld, Scuttle and Emperor Belos gazed at her.
Scuttle: Well There she is, master, sound asleep in her little bed.
The evil holy man looked at the image menacingly.
Belos: (evilly) And pleasant dreams to you, Princess. I'll get inside your mind, where you can't escape me.
Smoky images of faces began to form around the Reliquary, and he blew at the cloud of images, sending them out of there.
In the ship's cabin, the smoke and green mist slithered inside the bedroom, passing Hunter, recognizing he's not the person their master is targeting, so they floated across the room and surrounded the peaceful-looking Tati. The mist and smoke swirled around her, changing into butterflies, surrounding her in circles as she yawned.
(Dream)
Tati found herself sleeping peacefully in a sunny open meadow, in a Green dress. She then sat up as she saw a boy named Sosuke in a swimsuit, waving to her, with Tati smiling and waving back. He motioned for her to follow him.
In reality, Tati was still asleep as she sat up in her bed. She climbed out of her bunk and began sleepwalking, following the butterflies swirling around her head. The cabin door opened by itself and she walked out, with Clover waking up from the sound of the door being closed. She saw Tati was no longer in her bed, meanwhile, the ship was sailing through a violent rainstorm happening outside. Tati continued walking down the halls, under Belos's influence. Clover scratched at the door, while whining and buzzing out to her mistress, but Tati was too lost in her dreams to hear. The Bee then flew up to Izuku's bunk, trying to wake him up as she nudged him. Still, Izuku only began talking in his sleep peacefully.
Izuku: (sleep-talking) Never Fear, For I am Here. The strongest Hero
Knowing that he was no help, she flew down to King, who was struggling in his sleep.
King: (sleep-talking) Weh! I am the King of Demons!
He turned over, catapulting the bee off and onto the floor. So she jumped onto the muttering Hunter, trying to wake him up, but he only rolled over. Meanwhile on the main deck of the ship, Tati wobbled, climbing the stairs and continuing to follow the butterflies and boy in her dream.
In her dream, she followed Sosuke and the butterflies, wandering through a field of daffodils and climbing a rock embankment. Sosuke laughed happily as he climbed up a tree log, and then Tati saw four sisters named Isabella (Encanto), Perfuma (She-Ra), Flora (Winx Club) and Numbuh 10 (KND) wearing swimsuits in the distance. They laughed as they waved over to the two. They jumped over the edge and into the river below.
Sosuke: Come on!
She started following him, but then she slid back a bit, giggling a bit at her clumsiness.
In reality, Tati was climbing over the railing of the deck and she slid backwards toward a wall, but still smiled blissfully. She continued walking to the edge as the rain got worse. Back in the cabin, Clover continued buzzing and nudging to wake Hunter up, as he finally did.
Hunter: (still half-asleep) What, what, what? Clover what?
He looked up and saw the cause of distress as lightning struck. He gasped when seeing Tati no longer in her bed.
Hunter: Tati!
He dashed from his makeshift bed and ran towards the door, pouring out it with the Bee Palisman and hurried towards the stairs, but Clover stayed at the bottom of the stairs.
Outside, Tati climbed onto the edge of the boat while holding onto some rope, and was getting near the raging stormy black waters.
In her dream, Tati stood on the edge of the cliff, looking down to see Gilbert in swim wear with the four sisters, who were his daughters, swimming a peaceful pond. They looked up, waving to the two.
Gilbert: Hello, sunshine.
Sisters: (waving) Come into the water!
Tati: (smiles)Why Hello.
Gilbert: Jump in, jump!
Sisters: Come in!
So the boy went ahead, jumping in first.
Sosuke: Yeah!
The rest in the water waited for her to jump next. In reality, Tati continued smiling and stood on the edge of the ship, getting ready to jump. Hunter raced through the raging winds, almost getting knocked over by the sea.
Hunter: Tati!
A massive wave knocked him away and washed him up onto the crow's nest and saw Tati about to leap off the boat to her doom.
Hunter: Tati, stop!
He grabbed onto a rope and started swinging towards her.
Hunter: Tati, NO!
Tati stopped upon hearing the voice. Then Gilbert in her dream changed into some sort of Chernabog-like demon with burning red eyes, with the river changing into molten lava.
Gilbert/Demon: (demonically) Yes, JUMP!
Tati became horrified and screamed as she saw the demon beginning to grow bigger, with the dwarfed woman now standing on a rock high above the ground, with flying demon minions swarming in a circle, surrounding her.
Demon: The Park curse!
The demons began grabbing her as she screamed in horror.
Demons: JUMP! JUMP!
Tati: AAAHH!
One of the demon minions grabbed her around the waist, pulling her away to her doom.
In reality, Hunter grabbed her and pulled her back onto the deck, rescuing her from a watery grave as she kept struggling and screaming.
Tati: (not awake) No, no, no!
As she still panicked, Hunter lifted her to the other side of the railing and stood her on her feet.
Hunter: (shakes her awake) Tati! Tati! Wake up, Snap out of it!
She was awake, gasping, looking around frantically, with tears coming out of her eyes in fear as she held Hunter closely.
Tati: (almost crying) The Park curse! The Park curse!
Hunter: The Park-what are you talking about?
Tati: (teary) I keep seeing faces. So many faces. Demonic ones.
She hugged him closely, as Hunter put his arms around
Hunter: There, there, it was just a nightmare. (soothing her) It's all right, you're safe now.
The storm began to let up as the two stayed in each other's arms. In his lair,
Emperor Belos watched the image, seething, growling and then he screamed in anger, moaning as he stretched the skin on his face before literally stretching his own neck to the ceiling and started hitting the head against it. This was almost beginning to tear the place apart. The bugs and Scuttle backed away, but the seagull flew up to the height where his master's head was.
Scuttle: Easy, Master! This is not the time to lose your head!
Emperor Belos then stopped and took a deep breath, bringing his back down to control himself.
Belos: You're right. (gets in a soothing matra) I am calm...I am heartless...I have no feelings whatsoever.
His head then sunk deep into his ribs, to the gull's disgust and concern.
Scuttle: Sir.
Belos opened his eyes inside his rib cage, suddenly smiling.
Belos: I feel a sudden onset of clarity, Scuttle. I will just have to kill her myself, in person.
Scuttle: (confused) Wait, you mean, 'physically'?
Belos: You know what they say. If you want something done right, you must do it yourself!
He then literally pulled his head out of his ribs and placed it back normally.
Scuttle: (stunned) But...that means 'going topside'!
Then a caterpillar minion crawled on Belos's shoulder.
Belos: Exactly. I have so many fond memories of Toonris...
He gripped and wringed the caterpillar, nearly squeezing the life out of it as its eyes bugged out.
Belos: (continuing) ...and killing the last of the Parks with my own hands, will be so deee-licous!
He then tossed the caterpillar onto the ground as it scurried away in fright and the other bugs hid in fear. The dark man got on his best cape, preparing himself for his departure.
Belos: Well, time to go.
He sprayed some breath spray into his mouth as the seagull sat on his shoulder.
Scuttle: Even if you've been able to do it this whole time, Uh, need I remind you that you're a corpse that's falling apart? How do you intend to get to Toonris in one piece?
Belos: (grabs reliquary) Simple. Why don't we take the train?
He raised it as he laughed, and in one blast of power, they rocketed through the roof and out of the underworld, on their way to Toonris as the Seagull screamed.
