Chapter 7: Welcome To The Southern Isles
Anna and Elsa's ship was approaching the docks of the Southern Isles a day after Elsa accepted the offer to come over in order to reconcile their differences. There was much anxiety and uncertainty in everyone on the ship, especially with the two sisters. Kristoff comforted his girlfriend to ease her anxiety and Jacob did the same for his own girlfriend. "Like I said, I trust your judgement, Elsa. But are you sure about this. I'm sure we can turn this ship around at the last minute if you're having doubts.", Jacob told her. "I'm sure, Jake. I know you're worried for me and Anna, but I really think this will be good. Besides, don't you think it's a beautiful country?", Elsa said/asked. Jacob took a quick look around the area beyond the castle and kingdom and thought it seemed like a nice country. "Yeah, it seems nice. A little bit more warm than Arendelle, but I guess that's why the word Southern is in the name of the place.", Jacob said. "Good thing Olaf has that cloud over his head. Otherwise, he'd be a puddle by now.", Kristoff said. "True, but thanks to Elsa, I'm a happy snowman in warm weather instead of a puddle.", Olaf said cheerfully as always. "I think we're about to dock.", Anna said. The ship had officially deployed its anchor right in front of the docks and the workers there were getting everything ready for the passengers to step off the ship. "You gonna be okay with this, babe?", Kristoff asked his beloved. "I'm sure, hun. If Elsa thinks this will be good for the kingdom and help bury the past more, I'll do it.", Anna said while giving him a reassuring smile. The 6 friends had stepped off the ship and set foot on the wooden boards of the old dock. "The king and the princes have been expecting you, Your Majesty. He'll meet you in the courtyard through the front gates.", the dock master said. "Thank you.", Elsa said as she gave the worker a gold Arendellian coin as a tip. They all walked through the kingdom to get to the castle and everyone gave their respect to the queen and princess by bowing to them. "That's a nice welcome they're giving us.", Anna said to Elsa as they were walking. "See? Already off to a good start.", Elsa said. They made it to the castle where King Anders was waiting for them. "Your Majesty! I am so pleased that you and your friends accepted my invitation. I am King Anders and I would personally like to welcome you to the Southern Isles.", Anders said as he shook both Anna and Elsa's hands. "It's a pleasure to meet you, King Anders. Thank you for the invitation.", Elsa said as she gave him as warm a smile as he can give as she was starting to have some doubts. Anders turned his attention towards Anna and said, "I'm so glad you are here as well, Princess Anna. I am well aware it was your misfortune to have your heart toyed with by my brother and I can't tell you enough how sorry I am for his inexcusable behavior.", Anders said. Anna had half a mind to tell him and this whole place to go to Hell, but she decided to act professional seeing as how he seemed like a decent guy. "Water under the bridge, King.", Anna assured him. "And who are these characters you have with you?", Anders said as he saw the two young men, reindeer, and snowman. "This is Kristoff, Jacob, Sven, and Olaf.", Anna said as she introduced them. Anders shook both Kristoff and Jacob's hands, gave Sven a pet on the head, and Olaf did what he does best which is giving warm hugs. "I see the extent of your powers was not overexaggerated. Your magic can make snowmen come to life. That is quite amazing.", Anders said. "Thank you. I appreciate you saying that.", Elsa said. "Now before I show you around the castle, I would like to assure you all that Hans will not be showing his face at all during your stay here. He doesn't even know you're here. He's being closely watched in the dungeon and is not going anywhere.", Anders told them. This gave them all a great amount of relief as that's what they had most anxiety about. "That's great to hear. Thank you, Your Majesty.", Anna said. "Now come in. Let me show you around the castle and then my servant will show you to your rooms.", Anders said. Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf followed Anders inside. Jacob followed behind but not at the same pace as he wasn't sure what he thought about the king. He felt a bad vibe coming from him and didn't have a good feeling about this. Olaf noticed his bestie falling behind and asked, "Jake? You coming or what?". "Yeah, I'm coming.", Jacob said as he caught up with them, but still had a bad feeling.
