Chapter 12 - Her Name is Rera - Part 2
1786 - Somewhere
A forest is seen as two shadows are spotted camping in front of a bonfire
"So that's how things are back in your village, eh?" - Asked Galford who was sitting alongside a girl of black hair
"Yes, this is why I didn't wanted to involve her but as you saw it, she ended up following me." - Says the girl of black hair revealing herself to be Nakoruru as they see another girl sleeping on top of a log, Nakoruru's sister... Rimururu
"Don't worry, I can take her back to the village. Hopefully she isn't as stubborn to decide to follow you again." - Galford
"Would you do that for me?" - Nakoruru
"Yes. I would." - Galford
"*Cough*" - Nakoruru coughs for the surprise of Galford
"Are you alright?" - Galford
"Yes, don't worry. There's alot of stuff that I have been thinking about and no-Forget it." - Nakoruru was about to say something but she stopped
"What? What were you going to say?" - Galford tries to make Nakoruru feel confidence by showcasing this face of concern
"I-Is complicated... If I told you a secret, would you believe it? As strange as it was?" - Nakoruru stares at the moonlight as she says that
"A strange secret? Sure! I believe you, whatever it is. Maybe, if you tell me. I could help you, if this secret bothers you?" - Galford
"It does but I don't know how to explain it." - Nakoruru
"Galford, you see. In the last days, I've been hearing this other voice talking, a voice very different from mine." - Nakoruru
"Another voice?" - Galford
"Yes, there's this other voice that I have been hearing in my head, she is always telling me stuff that I don't want to do, she is very ruthless and aggressive.. I can't stand her!" - Nakoruru
"And then she-she..." - For Galford's surprise Nakoruru stops in the middle of a sentece as her pupils disapper with her eyes becoming white
"Nakoruru..." - Galford touches her shoulder becoming worried
"Nakoruru, hey! What happened?" - Galford tries to make her react but for his shock, Nakoruru falls to the ground
"Nakoruru!" - Galford runs to check on her, he notices she is still alive but she somehow ended up fainting
"(Did she fainted? No, this is different, what happened to her?)" - Galford
"-" - For Galford's shock Nakoruru opens her eyes but there was something different about them now
"Nakoruru?" - Galford tries to call her but he gets not answer as Nakoruru gets up
"Nakoruru? Oh, that weakling isn't here." - Says "Nakoruru" making Galford be confused as hell
"What?" - Galford
"Didn't you heard me? She isn't here. She thinks I wasn't hearing her badmouthing me." - Says "Nakoruru" looking at her hands
"You-You're not Nakoruru!" - Galford becomes static feeling the chi coming from this woman, similar to Nakoruru but also more aggressive
"So you finally realize, I guess you're not so dumb for a pretty face, Galford-san." - Rera
"Who are you?! Wait... are you the other voice?" - Galford is baffled remembering what Nakoruru was about to tell him before passing out
"Yes, that's right. I'm the other voice she was talking about. The only one who is willing to do what it must be done to protect nature and my village, unlike this weak girl who is always self-doubting, always scared. Her weakness does nothing more than annoy me. Seeing her hesitate to do what must be done. She sickens me." - Rera
"Get out of her body now!" - Galford
"I wish, but the truth is that I'm part of her. I'm stuck in her body, unable to do something but be a mere expectator for her.. And I got tired of that!" - Rera
Rera looks to where Rimururu is sleeping
"Take Rimururu back home and don't dare to follow me! Unlike Nakoruru with her self-doubts. I'm willing to do what it must be done, I'm going to find my father." - Rera
"No, I wont be leaving. Not until you have brought Nakoruru back." - Galford
"She is useless, forget about her. Besides, I'm making her a favour by doing what she should do but can't because of her weakness." - Rera
"I said that I won't move until you bring her back!" - Galford pulls out his sword
"Hmph! If you want to get in my way, don't blame me for what is about to happen." - Rera pulls out her sword
"(That's when I saw her for first time... the other face of Nakoruru... Rera!)" - Galford
"(I have fought already with Nakoruru before, but Rera was other story. Unlike Nakoruru, Rera sported this look in her eyes, this fearless look as she and me danced off in the middle of the night, she launched herself towards me rising her sword. There was no doubt, she wanted to strike me down, for her I was just a obstacle in her path.)" - Galford
"(I reacted countering her slashes and blocking them, she was more faster than I thought, more faster than Nakoruru herself. She was able to dodge my attacks with such ease, it was clear she still remembered my first encounter with Nakoruru. She used those memories to be able to counter my attacks too. Reading me like a book for my surprise.)" - Galford is surprised as Rera dodges his attempts at attacking her jumping back
"(She wasn't going to give up... We keep trying to attack each other, until.)" - Managing to dodge Galford's charged attack with electricity, Rera does a sweep kick making Galford fall to the ground
"(I thought it was over, my fatal mistake of not thinking she would do that would cost me my life. As she climbed to my body getting on top of me, I could still see her murderous desire in her eyes.)" - Galford struggles with Rera as this one gets on top of him disarming him tossing his sword far
"(Then it was clear, she wanted to kill me. As I saw her rising her both arms to impale me with her cold blade, I couldn't help but feel it was the end.. I was starting to regret having sended Puppy to scan the nearby area. She was too far from her to be able to save me... I was on my own.)" - Galford
"(But as I keep staring into her emotionless cold eyes... I could see Rera's hand start trembling. I was confused but then a strange smirk drawed in her face.)" - Galford
"Hmph!" - Rera smiles
"Not bad, Galford-san. That was a good dance... now I get why she has you in high regard." - Rera hides her knife away as she stares at Galford approaching her face towards him staring directly with her strange emotionless eyes
"And to tell you a secret, I can see you were prepared to kill me, despite you concern for her. But the truth is that unlike what you think, I'm not a demon." - Rera
"Then, what are you?" - Galford
"My name is Rera." - Rera
"And regarding what I am? That's a secret you will have to uncover on your own. That's if, you're willing to keep playing our game." - Without hesitation or warning, Rera grabs the head of Galford giving him a passionate kiss in the lips for the surprise of the Shinobi feeling the cold, intense and violent lips of Rera clashing against his
Ending their kiss, a satisfied smile draws of Rera's face, she enjoyed it but isn't going to say it as well as she enjoys seeing the confusion in Galford's eyes
Rera, slowly gets up
"We will see us, another time." - Says Rera as she grabs her head and for Galford's shock she passes out
"Nakoruru!" - Galford goes to help Nakoruru, totally shocked as the facial features of Rera disappear, her hair grows back to being large and eve her tone of voice changes as she moans slowly opening her eyes
"Galford-san." - Nakoruru
"..." - Galford still was unable to understand it
"What happened?" - Nakoruru
"(It took me months to understand it, that this was the other personality Nakoruru had with herself, a woman who isn't afraid of getting her hands dirty to do her job, a warrior that neither could be considerated as friend or foe, a warrior who almost never smiles unlike Nakoruru. Her total opposite, this other soul who shares body with her. Rera!)" - Galford
"So, she has another personality? She has... what is called?" - Asked Kyo as he, Galford and the rest move out walking down this mountain
"Dissociative identity disorder?" - Athena
"Yes, Rera is Nakoruru's other personality. She tends to be there in the profound deepest part of her mind and only comes out wherever she feels Nakoruru is starting to doubt in herself. Unlike her, Rera isn't a person who shows alot of emotions, she is a very cold being." - Galford
"If she is here, it means she is well aware of what is going on." - Galford
As Rera turns around she and company approach Kyo's group
"Well, what do we have here." - Says Rera as her team clash stares with Galford and co
"I know, Rera. What a surprising reunion." - Galford
"So you guys are starting a band now? Can't believe you left without even saying anything and worse to join with that scum." - Says Kyo to the K' team looking at Krizalid
"Look, Kyo. Don't act like you guys don't feel uncomfortable with our presence there, we know you think we aren't trustworthy. So we ended up leaving to form our own group. Krizalid is with us now, he did the same leaving his group. We share the same interest to end this and find more about this Urbe." - Whip
"Hmph! Right now I have forced myself to make the past aside to work with Seirah, I don't need your trust Kusanagi, nor do I care. We are going to do things our way and put an end to this stupid game." - Krizalid
"..." - Kyo
"Don't think I'll forget that you were who kidnapped Nakoruru in first place, you damn-" - Galford gets in the way
"Galford, wait." - Kyo puts his hand in front of Galford
"Fighting with them won't resolve nothing. Especially when Rugal and his group are still out there, if Whip is working with Krizalid, our only choice is to trust in her word... of course, that doesn't mean we have forgive his attempt at trying to kill us." - Says Kyo
"I suggest that we make a truce at the moment. If we join forces, we may be able to win this more easily." - Whip offers to shake her hand with Kyo
"And don't worry. I'll have him watched, trust me, he won't do anything that can escape my sight." - Whispers Seirah to Kyo's ear as they shake hands
"And you're Rera. I suppose." - Kyo advances to where Rera is
"Kusanagi.." - Rera
"And what happened to Ms. Kagura?" - Rera notices she is the only one not with them
Kyo and the rest look down
"Mizuki Rashoujin took over her body." - Athena
Hearing this Rera holds her fist in anger
"So that damn demon took over her..." - Rera is visibly angry
"There's no other option, you will have to kill her alongside your friend to end her for good." - Rera
"No, we aren't going to kill Chizuru and I sure your other half, Nakoruru would agree with us." - Says Kyo as Athena looks at Yagami
"Does she remind you of someone?" - Whispers Athena to Kyo as both turn to look at Iori
"Hmph!" - Iori
"I know you all care about her, but the moment Mizuki made herself with her body, she became a loss cause. Just take my warning, because allowing her to live will only bring regret further down the line." - Rera
"We have thought about that already, we know what to do, now would you be kind to present us to them." - Kyo points at the confused people of the village having stared at the group curious
"ASA#$%$#%" - Says Siruu interrupting the talk
"Yes, Siruu, they are with us." - Rera
"ASASFASDFAA#$%$#%." - The woman signals to the guards at the entrance to open the gate towars their city
"(Come foward, for a moment I thought you were invaders with bad intentions)" - Says Siruu using her telepathy to talk with Kyo and the rest
"(Thanks, Siruu.)" - Answers Athena as the group moves inside the city alongside Rera's group
Unknown to Kyo and the rest, a strange ship is just landing some meters away from them, directly in the mountains where they were standing moments ago
"(So you and your entire kind were brought to this wasteland by Urbe?)" - Kyo
"(Yes, we don't know why Urbe brought us. But we had been living here by the time we assume this started. We have been attacked by the strange residents of this planet, some strange beasts of three tails.)" - Says Siruu
"(Our house is your house, make yourselves feel comfortable. In a moment I'll return.)" - Says Siruu looking at the group but especially Moriya with attention before leaving, having broughtKyo and co to this strange palace
"Shh. I think she likes you, Moriya." - Akari
"Mhhh... What a nonsense." - Moriya
"I don't trust in Krizalid, Kyo." - Athena whispers
"Me neither, but we don't have other option. Isn't like Seirah and her group were to be trusted anyway." - Kyo whispers back
In that moment Athena opens her phone realizing her battery is about to run out
"I should had charged it on the base." - Athena
"So, Hank Cavill, eh? I didn't know you liked him?" - Kyo stares at the wallpaper of Athena's phone, a picture of a famous actor
"Yes, I became a fan after seeing his perfomance in the Magician Lord movie as Elta... he is so dreamy." - Says Athena with stars on her eyes admitting being a fan
"(Never thought I would see Athena acting like a fangirl...)" - Says Kyo with a slight smile looking at Athena
"So you're Nakoruru's other self?" - Asks Terry
"I don't like to be called like that." - Rera
"Oh sorry, I didn't know-" - Terry
"But yes, I am. I have been watching her since we first arrived here. It all happened so suddenly." - Rera
"It did, I was having a good day already planned and the next moment, I end here in this mess of a place, billons of light years away from home. Man, nobody is going to believe this once we return home." - Terry
"You're too optimistic." - Rera
"And you're too pessimistic, I have confidence all of us will survive this. We have go through tough situations in the past, we can do this." - Terry
"But this is different, Terry Bogard. In a war not everyone comes out alive, only the strongest in both spirit and mind have the will needed to do what it must be done to survive. Even I, a being who used to be in contact with nature and the spirits of Kamui has been abandoned by them now in this place." - Rera
"Look, I'm sorry if you loss your communication with your spirits, your guides but that doesn't mean everything is loss. I'm sure we will return back home... all of us." - Terry
"Hehehe! Your optimism is amusing... but also charming." - Rera looks at Terry with a sly stare making the Hungry Wolf being weird out by this strange look of Rera
"..." - Galford and Krizalid can't help but notice this with annoyed stares as Terry feels trapped between the three stares
"*Sigh*" - Rera
In that moment Siruu returns with someone, a tall man of white hair and beard
"(This is Edalin, King of Terraxia and the brother of my father.)" - Siruu
"(So your uncle?)" - Athena
"(Yes, whatever that strange word means.)" - Siruu
"(Siruu has told me everything, and I believe we share a common problem. Both of our groups were kidnapped by this being called Urbe, you all to participate in this so called War, and us for unknown reasons.)" - Edalin
"(Yeah, that's pretty much what happened.)" - Terry
"(After consulting it my niece, I have made out my mind and I have a proposition to make you. earthlings.)" - Edalin
"(And what's that proposition?)" - Kyo
"(We will help you win this war if you also use this wish for winning to help us return back to our planet.)" - Edalin
"(My army will be willing to assist you against your foes, you won't be fighting alone anymore if we join forces to recover our freedom.)" - Edalin
"(...)" - Kyo stays silent as everyone looks at him
"(So, do we have a deal?)" - Edalin
"(I guess we can use that wish to send us all back home.)" - Says Kyo getting up to shake hands with Edalin
The group icheers as the alliance between the Terraxians and the earthlings is forged.
*Crack* - But suddenly a strange lightning bolt is heard outside the temple alongside many screams from what are the Terraxians outside
"What was that?" - Seirah
"Oh you have to be kidding!" - Kyo and the rest get up going to the outside
"No! How did they-" - Seirah is surprised as Kyo and the rest see some figures they recognize approaching them starting to attack the Terraxians in their way
"(Who are this damn invaders!)" - Edalin
"(The other band, your majesty.)" - Mai
"..." - The entire group is baffled seeing their enemies somehow had found this peaceful village
