Song: Bruja by Princess Nokia

Sorry I haven't updated because life happened in the worse way possible not sure if anyone is reading this but if someone is I appreciate you.

Quirrell's ability to keep it together under the scrutiny of Snape was impressive as he didn't give in to the pressure. He may have lost weight, and his complexion became paler, but he remained unchanged in every other aspect.

With every passing of the third-floor corridor, Harry, Ron, and Hermione would stop in their tracks to listen for Fluffy's presence, a habit they had developed. Kellah felt no purpose in doing it unless she was in Harry's immediate vicinity. That just made him annoyed, but they still insisted on doing it. He had taken measures to make sure he was always positioned in the center of the doorway, even if it meant squeezing himself between Ron and Hermione. Occasionally, she found a spot beside Hermione and squeezed in. Her fear of Hermione overcame her desire to stand beside Ron, so she didn't dare to squeeze in. They decided for her to become the lookout, and everyone unanimously agreed. She waited patiently for them to finish being nosy. The stone's safety seemed assured as Snape exhibited his customary lousy temperament.

Harry had smiled and set an example as a model student for Quirrell. Ron, who had always been protective of his friends, was giving people a piece of his mind for laughing at Quirrell. Kellah continued wearing turbans to tease him. In an effort to treat everyone equally despite their actions, wore several turbans and headwraps she had taken from her mom, because he had lied about wearing one previously. That she was aware of his displeasure made him uncomfortable. He knew it. Quirrell received little attention from Hermione, who was more concerned about the impending exams.

With Layla's Discman, Hermione listened to some of the teachers' lectures, which she recorded and played repeatedly. It amazed Kellah that she accomplishing such a laborious task, as she did not know how she had pried the Discman from Layla's grip. Even with the hectic pace of her life, Hermione still studied for most of the day and only slept for five hours. She would only sleep with her headphones on, never taking them off. Upon witnessing Hermione entering the shower with them, Kellah swore that Hermione had taken measures to waterproof the equipment for the shower.

Because Hermione discovered that exercising and studying in between sessions helped with memorization, she made it a habit to incorporate both into her routine. It appeared Harry was partnering with her to complete that part, given his appearance. Hermione had given up on the exercise, studying faster than expected, but Ron and Harry continued doing it together to appease her.

She color-coded her notes to differentiate between the information she knew and didn't know, with blacked-out representing the former and white representing the latter. Kellah failed to see the importance of Hermione's studies, given that black was everywhere in her notes.

Hermione took the time to create a study schedule and handed one to each of them. Kellah noticed she had color-coded her notes, which helped her stay organized. Though reluctant, she agreed and consented to do everything Hermione did except for getting five hours of sleep. If she didn't know it, she didn't know. The unlikely had happened - Hermione, who was not a coffee drinker, had consumed it. Can you imagine?

Ron and Harry shared the same opinion that Hermione had lost her mind, and they both found it difficult to comprehend why Kellah would agree with Hermione's behavior. "Don't nag, exams are weeks away," said Ron.

Hermione had snapped. "Two months and two weeks, ten weeks, seventy days, one thousand sixty hundred eighty hours."

Ron's eyes glazed over. "You don't need to study clearly. You know all this already."

"I plan to pass to the second year, don't you?"

"Yes, I do,"said Ron.

Kellah sighed. "We should listen to Hermione and study hard, no last-minute studying. I want us all in the same grade next year." She glared at Ron.

"What you looking at me for?"said Ron.

Kellah's gaze fell upon Harry, who seemed to avoid any involvement in the argument at hand. To better keep the information, he incorporated color-coding into his note-taking after studying. Ron's decision to do the same was not of his own accord but a result of the nagging he had endured.

It turns out that Hermione has been correct all along. The Easter holiday became a tedious experience for the students as the teachers had given them an excessive amount of homework, which kept them busy throughout the vacation. The expectation of indulging in hot cross buns on Good Friday had led them to believe that they would have a break, but they soon discovered that they still had a large amount of homework to complete. Being away from her family during Easter was an unfamiliar experience for Kellah, as she had never been apart from them on this holiday. They always bought a palm branch for the holiday whenever they had a spare moment.

While she was used to getting four days off, this time, they would have to settle for three days. She hoped to file for a religious exemption, but the consequence would be her having to go home. In order to fully enjoy the festivities of Easter Sunday, everyone was rushing to finish their homework for the Easter Egg Hunt.

Thanks to Kellah and Hermione's help, Harry and Ron could finish their homework and join everyone else. Well, as much help as Hermione allowed without them copying notes.

Kellah was all set to dress up, but her eagerness dwindled once she learned they had to wear their Sunday best and an Easter Bonnet embellished with flowers and ribbons. She could have just gone to church for this. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, Kellah finally received a letter from her mother, but it was exactly what she had expected, which left her feeling disappointed.

Dear Kellah,

Have you celebrated Lent?

When are you coming back

from that school filled with

the devil's spawn?

Love,

Your Mother

With a proud disregard for Lent, Kellah tore up the letter into pieces. She had received a dress from her mother as a gift for the holiday. A purse and socks adorned with laces accompanied the dress, which was completely white. In her entire life, she had never seen a dress as ugly as the one in front of her. On her head, there was an eye-catching giant bow, and on her chest, there was an even more oversized bow that was impossible to miss. Another bloody bow cinched the dress at the waist. Among the items present, there was even a palm branch. That it made her look like she was less than twelve years old was something she loathed. It was punishment for her behavior at Christmas and not going home for Easter break.

Hermione's dress was gorgeous, with beautiful ruffles and flower decorations along the hemline, and her hair was adorned with a pearl headpiece that had become entangled in her lovely curls. "You look nice. I don't."

"No, it's quite…lovely. I can't lie. You look five years old," said Hermione.

With a thud, Kellah collapsed on her bed, feeling the weight of the dress as it pressed down on her and the bow swaying back and forth, causing her vision to blur momentarily. She adjusted it more sad than annoyed. Lavender couldn't help but let out a little giggle.

Parvati looked like she was about to pass out. "Are you okay?" Kellah asked.

"I just need food. I've been fasting for Ekadashi, which was two days in a row before Easter this month. So glad there will be a big feast all day," Parvati said, holding her stomach. She was also wearing a golden yellow dress instead of white.

"Why do you get to wear a different color, and I have to wear this white monstrosity?" yelled Kellah.

Parvati's stomach grumbled loudly, signaling her hunger, and she rubbed it in response. "Because I'm wearing saffron for puja. It's part of my culture."

A hard shove from Lavender caused Parvati to waver and nearly fall over. "I thought it was because you didn't want to wear white. You're no saint."

With her arms raised, Parvati's hands, decorated with an intricate henna design, were on full display as her bangles clinked together. Her eyes traveled downward and settled on Parvati's feet. Kellah couldn't help but notice how pretty they were. She wore a pair of sandals, which exposed her henna-covered feet. She had painted her toenails with gold nail polish and wore a toe ring. It was at that moment that Kellah realized Parvati had a great sense of fashion and could dress herself impeccably. "I'm going to breakfast to see my sister."

Once she left the dormitory, it was only Hermione and Lavender who were there to keep Kellah company. She was left in the hands of two girls who didn't dress that well, in her opinion. Gripping Kellah's shoulder tightly, Lavender placed her skinny hands on her. "You can wear one of my dresses. My mom bought me. But you owe."

Hermione was staring into Kellah's eyes, mouthing the words no. With a nod of her head, Kellah expressed her consent to the proposal.

"Good," Lavender said as she grabbed two white dresses from her trunk and threw them at Kellah. After that, she left. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Hermione shaking her head with a hand covering her face.

Although the first dress had a mature cut and the potential to show cleavage, an enormous bow located under the bust made it less revealing and more modest. The second dress came with a note:

It was made of tulle and had a Cinderella-style design that flowed to the floor. The sleeves of the garment were made of sheer material. Draco's gift was not appropriate for her age, and the dress that Kellah was given was too sophisticated for her, and the excessive frills would make it difficult for her to run. She had two dresses to choose from, and after trying them both on, she opted for the first one because it was better than the one she had initially been wearing. The outfit had a touch of girlishness to it, but it could give her the appearance of being fourteen years old, which wasn't too much older. The last thing she did to complete the task was to stuff her training bra with tissue.

Layla walked in while staring and causing everyone to take notice. "You're always doing weird stuff in here." Layla returned with a new Discman white to match her dress.

"Is that necessary?" Hermione asked watching Kellah stuff her bra.

The memory of Draco and Dean lingered in Kellah's thoughts. "It is."

Kellah and Hermione walked down to breakfast, their hands interlaced, trying to steady each other's nerves. As they entered the room, the chatter and laughter of the little kids ceased, and they were met with curious stares. Harry and Ron felt their eyes on them as they sat down across the table.

Ron was at a loss for words, staring directly at Hermione.

"You two look amazing," said Harry. He elbowed Ron. "Don't they?"

Ron's mouth twitched. "They look alright."

Hermione and Kellah frowned. They all started eating Easter food menu from all over the world.

As they ate, Parvati and her sister Padma were in each other's company and devoured the food with great relish. Although they didn't wear exactly matching outfits, there was a similarity in their clothing choices. They wore long, cut and flared skirts. The skirts were paired with the choli a blouse tightly fitted at the waist. Padma's dress appeared to have a brighter orange shade than Parvati's, which had a more yellowish tint. Both versions of the color saffron, whether the brighter or the more muted shade, are equally beautiful and captivating. Kellah tapped Parvati, "Pass the Chai Tea."

The Patil twins stopped eating, "You said to pass the tea tea. It's just chai. Chai means tea," Padma said.

Parvati swallowed. "Here's your tea tea."

With a sense of quietude, Kellah poured her tea into the cup. However, she seemed to have lost interest in drinking it.

After breakfast Cho Chang was seen wearing a stunning and elaborate red hanfu that was undoubtedly the center of attention. The way she looked gave the impression that she belonged to a different era or time period altogether. Adorning her hair with some lovely ornaments and accessorizing with some exquisite jade jewelry, the lady looked stunning. Kellah wished her home country had a beautiful traditional outfit she could have worn to stand out that didn't include a gomesi. Not like she was going to a wedding.

A unique twist to her egg distribution was that she rode on a skateboard while passing out the decorated tea eggs. The way she carried herself throughout the task was impressive, making her look even more graceful and sophisticated. The level of coolness exhibited by this second year was unparalleled. A painting technique used on the eggs gave them the appearance of porcelain. Ron didn't let the food's prettiness deter him from eating it.

Giving away her last egg, Cho presented it to the dashing Cedric Diggory. As he winked at her mischievously, she couldn't help but let out a little squeal of delight. Skateboarding towards Sue Li, Cho Chang kicked her skateboard and it landed in her hand, and the two shared a lighthearted moment of giggles.

Holding the egg in his palm, Harry looked at it, taking in every detail. "Are you going to eat it?" Ron asked.

"I think I'll save it," Harry said.

"Me too." Kellah realized then she had no pockets. In her eagerness to get ready, she had overlooked the little purse her mom had given her. She made a subtle movement as she gave the egg to Hermione.

"Save this for me,"Kellah said. Hermione placed it in her handbag.

Along with several other Prefects, Percy Weasley and Penelope Clearwater appeared. "First and second years this way to the Easter Egg Hunt."

Kellah felt a rush of excitement as she got up happily, looking forward to what the day would bring. Glaring at Penelope, Ema Sato, the Gryffindor Prefect, marched over and condemned Kellah. "Don't forget your bonnet."

Ema caught Cho Chang with a skateboard, so she confiscated it from her immediately. From the look on Cho's face, it appeared she was on the verge of tears.

All the girls were pleasantly surprised when they discovered bonnets had appeared at their tables, as if by some magical means. Before heading out, she grabbed her pilgrim bonnet and carefully put it on, covering her braided hair. The stupid hat. She hated it. Hermione had to cram her bushy hair inside the small bonnet. It barely fit on her head. It was a mess. All you could see was Hermione curls forcing their way out of the bonnet in a tangled mess. Her moment of beauty was short-lived. She looked upset.

Ron took one look at Hermione and laughed. "Now that's our Hermione."

Just as they were about to leave, Professor Sinistra approached them and stopped them. Harry and Ron followed Percy. Today, she wore her hair straight, and it looked great. "Baby, who did your hair," she asked Hermione.

"I did," Hermione said.

"I can tell," said Professor Sinistra.

"And who did your hair, Ms. Onai-Dellarose?" she asked.

"My mum, but not since Christmas."

Professor Sinistra gave it a quick look. "Hmm, tell her to write me. I'm not supposed to do this, but I'll do a little spell to fix you girl's hair."

A look of pure joy and happiness spread across Hermione's face, lighting it up with a brilliant smile. With a flick of her wand, Professor Sinistra skillfully braided Kellah's hair, and now it cascaded down her back. As time passed, Hermione's hair grew bushier and more untamed. The bonnet on her head, which made her curls look nice earlier, was now overstuffed and resembled a diaper, and they weren't permitted to remove it until after the event.

Professor Sinistra made a face. "Oh, I think Professor McGonagall is calling me." She left in a hurry.

Finally, after navigating through the labyrinthine hallways of the school, they arrived at the Quad courtyard. Kellah was filled with curiosity about the number of courtyards they had, and this thought kept lingering in her mind. According to her count, there were five.

From this location, they could enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountain and the lake below. The garden was filled with an abundance of flowers and bushes, and in the vicinity, Professor Sprout was wearing a scowl on her face as Professor Sinistra continued to talk her ear off.

Without making a sound, Hermione and Kellah caught up with the boys and joined them. Ron was trying hard to contain his laughter, but his face was lit up with a broad smile, and he couldn't help but let out tiny snickers. With Hermione nearby, Harry tentatively reached out to touch the shrubbery bush and inspect its leaves, attempting to avoid looking directly at her.

A magnificent stained glass dome was the centerpiece of the gazebo where Dumbledore was standing, above the other Professors adding to the already beautiful scene. "The Easter Hunt will begin shortly. There are normal eggs, chocolate eggs, and three special eggs with one knut, one sickle, and one galleon."

The Prefects gave Easter baskets to them. With the goal of maintaining fairness, they stationed someone to make sure that no one cheated. As Percy Weasley gave the baskets to Kellah, he turned his head to see Ema shooting him a glare while Penelope waved in his direction. It had escaped Ron's attention he was inspecting his basket.

The children engaged in a lively conversation among themselves at this gathering. Unintentionally, Kellah could hear Malfoy talking with the Slytherin boys. While standing in the courtyard, it was observed that Blaise Zabini's attention appeared to be fixated on his reflection in the water fountain situated nearby. At the same time, Theo Nott's gaze seemed to wander towards Daphne Greengrass. "Save the galleon egg for Weasley. Maybe then his family can afford more than one bed," shouted Malfoy.

When everyone laughed, Ron felt embarrassed, hanging his head down and blushing as his ears turned red. Ron walked towards Malfoy with his fist clenched and ready, but Percy intervened and grabbed him by the collar. Dumbledore cleared his throat. "There will be no magic. You must get the eggs with your bare hands."

Malfoy scoffed. "Like a Muggle."

From his elevated position, Dumbledore showed a remarkable skill with bubbles by creating egg-shaped ones. Next, he brought his hands together, causing the bubbles to pop and scattering the eggs into the air. Eventually, the eggs found hiding places throughout the area.

The deafening blast of Filch's cannon announced the start of the hunt. Amidst the chaos of everyone scrambling to get the eggs, they began their task. Everyone went straight for the tree. Kellah's dress billowed around her legs as she dashed towards the tree, her fingers closing around the eggs. She scaled the tree and plucked the concealed item from its hiding place. It was the knut egg. She didn't have time to open it, though.

After jumping down from her spot, Kellah carefully surveyed the surrounding area. By thoroughly searching every bush, she could accumulate a decent amount of what she was looking for. Not all the kids had started yet, including Malfoy and his crones.

Ron was working just as hard as Kellah. The feeling of joy overwhelmed him upon catching the sickle egg. However, the search for the galleon proved to be fruitless, as it was untraceable. Seeking solace, Kellah tucked herself away in the corner and concentrated on conjuring a vision. Nothing came at first, but she kept trying. She leaned against the cold, metal deer statue. She couldn't control her body as it shook, and her mind raced as she watched Malfoy retrieve the egg next to an eagle statue.

Kellah hurried over to Malfoy, her breaths coming in quick gasps. Just as he was about to grab the egg, she snatched it away. "Sorry, I thought you didn't want to play."

"You got that for your boyfriend, Weasley." There has been a recent preoccupation with the term boyfriend, which seemed to have consumed his thoughts.

With a playful smirk, Kellah threw the egg up into the air, following it with her eyes before effortlessly catching it in her hand. "No, it's all mine."

"You could be mine if you had worn the dress I sent," Draco said, leaning against the statue.

Kellah leaned into him and cracked one egg from her basket on his head. "I would rather be naked."

Malfoy flinched and said, "That can be arranged."

As Kellah clenched her fist, ready to strike Malfoy, Dumbledore's timely intervention prevented her from doing so, sparing her from the consequences of her actions."The egg hunt is over."

The disappointment was universal and manifested itself as a collective sigh from everyone. Upon reaching Hermione, she had barely picked up anything as her basket was nearly empty. Harry and Ron had done a good job of collecting items, as evidenced because their baskets were pretty full.

"I got the sickle egg," Ron said, cheering.

Kellah raised her two prized eggs. "The knut egg and the galleon egg."

Ron grimaced. "Lucky."

Kellah handed them to Ron. "They're yours."

He pushed them back to Kellah. "No, you won them."

"Use them to get Hermione and me those Christmas presents."

He nodded. "Deal."

In the courtyard balcony overlooking the mountain, there was the Morris Dancing taking place—a complete band provided throughout the event music. The boys dancing with batons in their hands were older, and the distinct sound of bells making for a captivating spectacle accompanied their movements. These boys had on their heads massive flower hats that were impossible to miss.

The performance was both cute and silly, but everything changed when Kellah caught sight of Cedric Diggory taking the stage as one of the lead dancers. No matter what it was, that boy had a talent for making it look good. Among the dancers at the event was Oliver Wood, who seemed to have a good time. Fred and George, the mischievous duo, were also present at the location, being extra silly and yet somehow staying in step. One of the most handsome boys around was Cedric Diggory. Roger Davies was almost as attractive as him. Kellah couldn't resist noticing that the group was missing any males from Slytherin.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a colossal maypole emerged. Kellah took the initiative and was the first one to dance around it when no one else wanted to do so. Following closely behind her was Dean Thomas. "I heard you got the galleon egg,"

"So, how did you do it?" he asked.

"I was just faster than everyone else."

As he leaned into her, his warm breath tickled her earlobe. She shivered as he whispered, feeling his teeth nibble on her ear. "That's not what I meant."

With a sense of finality, he turned and strode off. Kellah had stopped dancing, and her eyes darted around nervously as if scared. Did he know she was a seer? As she resumed dancing around the maypole, the sudden appearance of Malfoy startled her behind her. "No," she said, storming off before he could speak.

The field at the last event was brimming with bubbles, and the attendees were having the time of their lives popping them and blowing bubbles as entertainment. In a surprising turn of events, even Malfoy and his gang took part in the Easter festivities, albeit covertly, by stealing eggs from other children. Inside the courtyard, there was a giant bubble wand that kept going off, creating thousands of bubbles that added to the magical atmosphere. Once the festivities had ended, it was then that everyone realized the bubbles had miraculously cleaned the mess made in the courtyard. They made the cleaning process appear like a game of popping bubbles, which led to everyone joining in without knowing they were cleaning. Dumbledore was a truly brilliant individual.

The feast that Kellah had just consumed was just as big as the lunch she had earlier, leaving her with a feeling of fullness and wondering how she could return to her regular school day.

It was easy because she had no choice when the teachers were merciless. There was even more homework after the holiday. They thought it would be more beneficial to take a break instead of studying that day. All the effort put into this was worth it. Amidst their hectic study schedule, they caught sight of Hagrid in the library.

Ron said, "What are you doing here?"

Hagrid did something behind his back. "Jus' browsin'," he said, shifting about. "Ye still look for Flamel?"

The book that Ron had been reading was slammed down with force, showing his annoyance. "That was forever ago we moved on and found out what the dog's guarding-"

After shushing them, he instructed them to convene at his hut. Upon searching Hagrid's section, they discovered that the entire content was solely focused on dragons.

When classes were over for the day, they went to Hagrid's hut. Frustration grew as Kellah repeatedly banged on the big door, hoping to gain entry. With the curtains drawn, Hagrid addressed the person behind them, questioning their identity in a manner that resembled speaking to the Aurors.

After welcoming them inside, Hagrid shut the door promptly. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead as soon as she stepped inside. They all sat down, the humidity making it feel like they were sitting in a sauna as they fanned themselves. The day's heat was already oppressive, and his fire made it even hotter.

The aroma of freshly brewed tea and the sound of bread being toasted filled the room as he prepared their meal. Kellah was too hungry to turn down the offer of free food, even though everyone else refused. The taste was so unpleasant that she had to fight the urge to spit out what she was chewing. Kellah's mouth felt dry, and she swallowed hard before placing the stoat sandwich back down. The thought of drinking his tea made her uneasy, suspecting it was as unpalatable as the food. Despite her reservations, Kellah took a sip and was immediately hit with a foul taste, causing her to hold it in her mouth until Hagrid turned then she spat it back into her cup. Every meal cooked by an adult in her life was a disappointment.

The mention of Fluffy, Snape, and Quirrell sparked a heated argument. It was like listening to a broken record as they kept repeating themselves. It was like Groundhog Day, the same thing repeatedly. Kellah was completely indifferent until she caught sight of the fire. There was an eerie feeling that something was attempting to break out of the pot.

"Hagrid, can you open a window? I'm boiling," Harry said, fanning himself.

"Can't, sorry," said Hagrid. Harry noticed him glancing at the fire. Harry looked at it, too.

"What have you got, Hagrid?" Harry asked.

Having prior knowledge about it, she knew exactly what it was. Even though it wasn't required, she had taken the time to study the subject for her own enjoyment. After reviewing a third-year curriculum belonging to one of the Weasley twins, she wanted to explore and determine which elective course to take. To decide, she observed all of them and determined which ones she would select and which she wouldn't. Her decision was to choose all of them. She was worse than Hermione.

Amid the fiery embers, the black egg lay nestled beneath the kettle.

Hagrid's beard, which is nearly as long as he is tall, is constantly being twirled and played with by his large and rough hands. "Ah…nothing."

"Where did you get it, Hagrid?" said Ron, crouched over the fire, staring into the heart of the flame at the egg.

"Won it," said Hagrid. "Las' night off a stranger over a game of cards."

Seeing that he did it right, Kellah gave him a thumbs up to show her approval. "It's not gambling if you don't lose."

"No gambling for either of you. Besides, what will you do with it?" said Hermione.

"Well, I've bin readin'," said Hagrid, pulling a comprehensive book from under his bed. "Keep the egg in the fire. When it hatches, feed it on a bucket o' brandy mixed with chicken blood every half hour. An' see here — how ter recognize different eggs. — What I got there's a Norwegian Ridgeback. They're rare, them."

Feeling a sudden headache, Kellah touched her head to ease the pain. A migraine was coming. "That's wrong, Hagrid."

"Is not tis all er in da book," he said, opening the book to page three hundred ninety four.

The viewpoint presented was not agreeable to Kellah, causing her to disagree. "It needs lots of water-cooked meat and rice. No chocolate and no flowers. Keep your dragon's nest clean and filled with warm, dry sand. Feed them twice a day with fresh raw meat and clean, purified water. Once a week, use a soft cloth to remove old dry scales, and then apply safflower oil to their scaly skin. Other oils can be used as substitutes."

Looking at her with a sense of pride, Hermione gave her a warm side hug to show her affection.

While Hagrid put on little glasses and started taking notes, Ron flailed his arms to get his attention. "That's not right, and I would know my brother takes care of dragons in Romania."

"Yeah, your brother, not you,"said Kellah.

After a certain point, Hagrid's interest waned, and he stopped listening. He was too happy in bliss to have his dragon. They wondered what it was like to live that peacefully because they didn't get a moment of peace with all the homework they had.

Hermione was worse. Taking issue with their study plans, she created personalized schedules for each person. Maximizing their potential, she also took the time to color-code their notes. This was unnecessary for Kellah. Intelligence was not enough to make spell-casting easy for her. As long as it was a fun spell or it was an area that didn't require spell casting, she was good. While she was performing well in most subjects, Charms, and Defense Against the Dark Arts were presenting some challenges for her. The three subjects that she excelled in were Transfiguration, Herbology, and Potions, and she considered them her bread and butter. By listening to Hermione's advice, she knew that studying extra hard was crucial to excel in those classes, and she was determined to do so.

It was during breakfast when Hagrid sent a letter that said it was hatching. A heated argument erupted amongst them as they debated whether or not they should attend. That was during Herbology class, which Kellah was good at. There was no way she was going to miss it. Both Hermione and she took a firm stance and put their foot down. The guys backed down, and they agreed on a morning break. Upon realizing that Malfoy was looking at them, Harry and his friends exchanged nervous glances. She was uncertain whether Malfoy's behavior was because of his interest in her or his tendency to eavesdrop.

When the bell for break ran, they dropped everything and ran straight to Hagrid's hut. Not before she grabbed a spray bottle of water. Kellah wished he lived closer. "It's nearly here," he said, welcoming them inside.

The table was the resting place for the egg, and where it made contact, the wood seemed to take on a reddish hue. A deep crack had formed on the egg. Inside, you could see a shadow of the dragon trying to get out. It was moving wild; the egg was rocking on the table back and forth. As the pieces were chipping away, they could hear a clicking noise. What was happening completely enthralled the group, so they quickly grabbed their chairs to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event. A sound resembling nails on a chalkboard could be heard as the egg split, and suddenly, a baby dragon emerged from it clumsily. It was beautiful to Kellah and Hagrid. Everyone, other than them, felt disgusted.

With a skeletal body, the dragon's wing span was large. The color was so deep it seemed to swallow up everything around it. Smoke billowed from its wide nostrils. Its eyes were a bright, menacing orange bulging out of its skull. An unexpected spray of sparks followed the sound of a hiccup.

She scratched it behind the ears, and it nuzzled closer to her hand. As it tried to snap at her, she stroked its snout and soothed the animal. The animal's eyes were closed as it lay down in submission, exposing its vulnerable belly.

Hagrid's emotions were so overwhelming that he could not articulate any words. Kellah stopped, and Hagrid tried to pet it. Hagrid was not affected by the dragon, almost biting him.

"Hagrid," said Hermione, "how fast do Norwegian Ridgebacks grow, exactly?"

Answering the question brought a smile to Kellah's face. "Newly hatched dragons are about the size of a small cat, but they grow rapidly, reaching the size of a large dog in about one year and the size of a horse in only three years. If they are free to roam and hunt, they grow even faster."

"Thanks," Hermione smirked.

"Yes, thank you for that inaccurate information," Ron said.

Though he seemed intrigued by the question, Hagrid's attention was soon diverted as he sprang from his chair and walked to the window.

"What's wrong?"

"Someone was lookin' through the gap in the curtains — it's a kid — he's runnin' back up ter the school."

Having prior knowledge, Kellah was already aware that it was Malfoy. Harry took a glance and verified that it was indeed true. A knowing smile that persisted for the entire week marked Malfoy's face. He went to the extent of composing a letter and sending it to her, confirming that he knew.

The reason for her inability to respond was because of her busy schedule of studying and helping Hagrid with his dragon.

They tried to persuade Hagrid, but he remained unresponsive to their appeals. That dragon was ill-tempered and wouldn't listen to anyone. Kellah's passion for reading was unparalleled. However, her knowledge of dragon handling was limited.

"I've decided to call him Norbert," said Hagrid, looking at the dragon with misty eyes.

With a sigh, Kellah folded her arms tightly, conveying her frustration. "Nobert is a girl, and you should change the name to Noberta. She isn't as swollen at the base of the tail, and she is small for her breed. Also, her temperament. It's quite obvious."

"Obvious, is it?" Ron mocked.

"That's rubbish. It knows it's Mummy. And Mummy knows it's a boy," Hagrid said, tickling the dragon. "Right, Ron."

"Right."

"Hagrid Malfoy could go to Dumbledore any minute," Harry said.

"I can't abandon him. He's got nowhere to go."

"Charlie," said Harry.

"You're losing it," Ron said

"No, Charlie, your brother, the one studying dragons in Romania who you keep bringing up to Kellah. We could send Norbert." Kellah glared at Harry. "Norberta to him," Harry corrected himself.

There was a lot of convincing and persuasion, but finally, Hagrid was convinced and agreed to it.

The week that followed seemed to stretch out like an eternity. It was as if they were in hell. Malfoy was relentless in his letter-writing, yet she refused to acknowledge them daily. The last one was severe.

At lunchtime, Kellah informed her friends that she would take her turn to help Noberta and waited for the opportunity to arise. With a sense of urgency, Kellah burst into the room where the dragon was resting and promptly approached it. Once she reached the dragon, she administered the sleeping potion by pouring it into its mouth. "There, she should be easier to handle."

"What ya do dat for? Thought ya come ter help me," Hagrid asked.

"I did help, but I need to study."

The departure of Kellah from the cottage was so sudden that it left Hagrid completely shocked. The wind rushed past Kellah's face as she flew on Harry's broom towards the boathouse. It came as a shock to her that they had one at all. Getting to the front of the school was a breeze on her broom, and she couldn't imagine trudging through the distance on foot. She took a deep breath before starting up the long staircase, determined to keep up the facade she had been at Viaduct Courtyard all along. She held onto Harry's broom tightly, aware of the risk of theft.

Walking down the path, she came across a magnificent unicorn statue before ascending a stone staircase that led to a beautiful gazebo. At the bottom of the mountain, she saw a building that resembled an old wooden church, with two small stone pillars flanking the entrance and firewood burning brightly to light up the night. She went to the boathouse and saw that it was designed with an open back to accommodate boats, while the wooden pillars with menfolk holding lanterns added a touch of whimsy. The tide pool provided a safe harbor for boats entering the area. As Kellah walked towards the back, she heard the crunch of gravel beneath her feet, and the flicker of a lantern caught her eye. Standing next to the small stone pillar, Malfoy came into view.

"Took you long enough," he said.

"Sorry, I haven't been here."

A sly grin spread across his face. "That's why it's perfect. No one but visitors with boats come here."

His fingers were surprisingly gentle as he traced them along her cheek. As she grabbed his hand, she twisted his fingers back, and he fell to the ground, writhing in pain. "Stop blackmailing me with your useless information."

When she let go of his fingers, he shook his hand to get the blood flowing again. "Can't be that us less if you're trying to break my fingers over it."

"Stay away from me," she walked away

"You don't want me to." He let out a piercing yell, causing her to stop and turn to face him abruptly. "That's why you still accept my letters. That's why you always meet me. You don't want to stay away, and neither do I."

As the night wore on, Kellah could not sleep and lay awake, counting the hours until dawn. Eventually, the clock tower struck six a.m., and the sun rose. That's when she heard Layla and Parvati chanting, marking the beginning of a new day. It took some effort on Hermione's part to get her up as she remained lying in bed, staring at the ceiling.

The tension had been mounting all week, and by Wednesday night, she found herself on edge. While everyone else was out, Harry and Hermione were left in the common room, focusing on their studies. As soon as the clock struck twelve, the portrait hole opened, but unfortunately, nobody was there. Revealing himself, Ron pulled off the invisibility cloak. Against the advice of Kellah, he ventured to Hagrid's place alone. Norberta had upgraded from eating just one rat to consuming crates of rats, and Ron was helping to feed her.

"Nobert bit me!" he said, showing them his hand, which was wrapped in a bloody handkerchief. The injury was so severe that the bandages he received were insufficient and did not provide the proper care.

"Noberta," Kellah corrected.

Ron paid her no mind. "Whatever its name is, I won't be able to hold a quill for a week because of that thing. Hagrid lost his marbles. He thinks it's like a bunny. When it bit me, he said it scared the nerve."

With a gentle touch, Kellah took Ron's hand and inspected it, looking for any signs of pain or discomfort. "It's going to get infected. You need the cure for uncommon antidotes and better bandages."

Ron withdrew his hand. "It's fine."

A faint tapping shattered the stillness of the night at the window. When the letter arrived, it was Hedwig, Harry's owl, who delivered it, and the letter was from Charlie, instructing them to meet him at the astronomy tower on Saturday. Even though Kellah had reached a point where she felt she had had enough adventures and needed to study for her exams, she lent a helping hand to her friends. She devised a plan for their Saturday outing, showcasing her wonderful qualities of being a good friend.

The night was spent by her brewing two distinct potions, one for the common poisons and the other for uncommon ones. It couldn't hurt to do both. The day after the injury, Ron's hand had become red, hot, and tender to the touch. As time passed, the cut became more and more infected, and pus seeped out, turning the area green. He was afraid to go to the infirmary. When Kellah handed him the potion, he eagerly gulped it down.

"Sorry, I'll believe you next time it's something with potions or magical creatures."

"Are you sure that will work? You should go to Madam Pomfrey," Hermione said to Ron.

With a quizzical look, Kellah cocked her head to the side. "If I remember correctly, I brewed the potion for the cure of boils that Neville used on the first day of Potion's class. I'm just as capable as everyone else."

"I always knew you were thanks," Harry said.

Hermione bit her lip. "Fine, you're better in some areas than me." Hermione swallowed her pride, but Kellah felt Hermione would study extra hard to beat her.

Ron felt it was best to go to Madam Pomfrey and rest, so he went there. She seemed surprised he wasn't worse off after looking at his hand. If it had gotten any bigger, he would have lost that hand. Casting a suspicious glance, she fixed her eyes on Hermione. Kellah was beside herself. Was she not regarded as intelligent by anyone? Her interests were solely directed towards boys, and her major goal was to have a good time. That didn't mean dumb. Although Malfoy had told the nurse he wanted to borrow one of Ron's books, Ron informed them he had one of Charle's letters in it, which meant Malfoy knew the entire plan.

With a firm resolve, they went to Hagrid and informed him they were ready to face the challenge of Norberta. Unfortunately, Hagrid had injured his leg, and his loyal dog, Fang, had hurt his tail, although he is known for his love of magical creatures. Kellah, the skilled and knowledgeable apothecary, reached out and handed him two potions with a sense of confidence and ease. The first potion was a green color and designed to counteract common poisons, while the second potion, with a teal hue, was specifically created to tackle uncommon poisons. She communicated to him she desired the return of her vials.

After agreeing, he packed up Norberta with an ample amount of meat, brandy, and her favorite teddy bear she tore to shreds. Kellah dropped a sleeping potion into Norberta's mouth, and the dragon fell asleep. Now they could move easier.

While making their way, they had to steer clear of Peeves, who was considered the manifestation of all the naughty children of Hogwarts. She had read that somewhere, and it made her realize wizards and witches were really bad kids because of magic if Peeves was the result.

Passing by McGonagall, they saw Malfoy, who she caught snitching on them. Although he pleaded his innocence, she remained skeptical. Slytherin lost twenty points, and then she used magic to grab him by the ear and pull him along. The humor presented in the situation was so great that we couldn't help but find it hilarious. That's what he gets for blackmailing her.

They made it to the Astronomy Tower. Ten minutes had passed at the Astronomy Tower when Charlie arrived and took hold of the dragon. "You took good care of her."

"It was mostly Kellah," Harry said.

With a mischievous glint in his eye, Charlie winked at her. "You might have a future as a magizoologist or a dragonlogist."

Norberta was connected to the harness that was rigged between the two of them. Unaware of her night ride, they flew away as she remained suspended, sound asleep in mid-air. For a short period, life was good, and everything seemed to go in the right direction. No Malfoy, no dragon. It can be said that she somewhat missed it, but the experience was ultimately beneficial and educational. Nothing could bring her down until she saw Filch.
