-Author's Note-

My Apologies for the long wait but I did say that updates would not be frequent. I do thank you all for your patience.

Now, I actually had trouble writing this chapter as I wanted Naruto to explain his past to the Titans and you readers and what happened before he arrived in the DCverse. The reason I had trouble was because, every time I started the chapter, it kept turning out the same way. One version had Naruto only telling Raven his past which makes him emotional, another was that Robin interrogates Naruto after he realised Naruto was the one that helped with the Puppet King. I wanted to avoid that mostly because it has been done many times before and I wanted to do it differently.

So, hopefully you all like what I have done. Please enjoy and please review.

If you see any mistakes, please let me know and I will do what I can to fix them. Any questions then please feel free to ask, I am more than happy to answer them.

"So you're from another dimension?"

"Yep"

"A world where you grew up training to become a Shinobi while also having a creature called a Tailed Beast sealed into you at birth?"

"That wasn't by choice but yeah, that's right."

"And before you arrived in this dimension, you were fighting in a war to stop some guy called Murderer from taking over the world? And then Murderer was betrayed and turned into a Goddess who also tried to take over the world?"

"His name was actually Madara. Ma-da-ra. Other than that, yeah he turned into Kaguya somehow and then my team and I fought her."

Robin, who had been talking to Naruto in the Titans Tower Med-bay, rubbed his temples as he felt a headache appear. All he wanted was to go to bed after the whole Puppet King fiasco last night but that idea was scrapped when he returned to the Tower with his friends to find Raven already there with a complete stranger. Well, he thought the man was a stranger but Starfire got excited and greeted him like a friend. Raven then asked Cyborg to do a full-body scan on this Naruto as he claimed he was dying somehow. While Cyborg was performing the scan, after rebuilding his arm of course, Robin took the opportunity to ask Naruto a few questions.

He just wanted some answers, especially after learning that it was Naruto that had helped Raven and Starfire with the Puppet King. He would have understood if Naruto didn't want to talk but the blond was okay with sharing his story.

Naruto was laying on a table as a scanning machine slowly passed over him several times. Robin was standing to his right, leaning against the wall and, to his left, Raven sat on a chair, listening intently. Behind a nearby screen, Cyborg was typing into a computer with Beastboy and Starfire next to him. "Are we done yet? I promise you I'm okay now," Naruto said, wanting to stop the machine. He didn't care for this room, reminded him too much of hospitals and he spent enough time in those buildings.

"Sorry, not yet," Raven apologised but she didn't sound that apologetic. As soon as Naruto had told her that his chakra was somehow killing him, she had forcibly teleported them both to the Tower and had her friends try to find out what exactly was wrong with him. He just went along with things, knowing it would be easier than fighting against Raven on this.

"What happened after Kaguya, have I got that right?" Robin asked, nodding when Naruto nodded to him, "What happened when Kaguya took over Madara? You said she somehow captured every person on your world and trapped them in an illusion."

Shifting a little to get a bit more comfortable, Naruto continued but he lost his smile as he remembered the events that happened. "It was a massacre, that's what happened," he answered, "It was just myself and my team. Four of us fighting against a literal Goddess."

Believing that this might be too personal, Raven made a suggestion, "You don't have to keep going. You don't owe us any answers."

"Thanks but I'd rather just get this off my chest," Naruto said, giving Raven a smile to show that he was okay. It wasn't like he was trying to keep any of this a secret anyway so it really didn't bother him that much. Idly, Raven noticed that one of Naruto's hands was clenched into a fist and was shaking a little. It was obvious to her, as well as Robin, that Naruto wasn't as okay as he made it seem he was. "My team and I fought Kaguya with everything we had but it didn't matter. At one point we thought we managed to catch a small break when we were thrown into one of her many personal dimensions. We tried to come up with a plan but then she appeared out of nowhere using one of her portals to appear behind Sakura. We didn't even have time to react when her neck was snapped."

Naruto shut his eyes as he remembered that moment vividly. Sakura had been looking right at him and even said his name seconds before she died. He could hear Starfire gasp from behind the screen and, even without opening his eyes, he could tell that the others were horrified as well. "I'm sorry," Robin said, unsure what else to say.

Taking a deep breath, Naruto continued, "I remember losing myself after that. It didn't seem to matter what I did, nothing could stop that woman and it was terrifying. At one point, Sasuke and I were knocked down hard. I guess Kaguya saw her chance to kill us because she threw several of those bone attacks at us. Kakashi tried to protect Sasuke and I by using his Susanoo but he wasn't fast enough. Before he could fully summon it, one of the attacks got through and pierced his chest. One moment he was there and the next, he was nothing but ash."

'How the hell did he survive?' Robin thought, unknowingly thinking the same as his friends who all felt sorry for Naruto.

'I'm so sorry, Naruto,' Raven thought. Due to her abilities as an empath, she could feel his emotions. And she could tell how broken he truly felt.

"By that point, it was too late," Naruto said with a shuddering sigh, "The people trapped in the God Tree were dying. Kaguya was rapidly taking all their chakra away to fuel her own power, killing them in the process. Every second wasted was another life lost so Sasuke and I knew we had to try and end the fight quickly, even if it killed us. Eventually we managed to catch her and used the sealing technique that Old Man Sage taught us, sealing her back into the moon."

Ever since that fight, Naruto was never a fan of the moon. He knew that the moon of this dimension wasn't the same as his own but it still acted as a reminder every night of his failure. "What happened next?" Robin quietly asked after a moment of silence.

"I... I honestly don't know," Naruto said truthfully. "After the sealing had begun, Kaguya did everything she could to get away. She even tried to summon her portals but nothing was working as her chakra was being sealed away. I think that, when she tried to create her portals, something went wrong. I don't even know how it happened but I fell through one of those portals. Next thing I knew, I woke up in a crater in the middle of a place called Edinburgh in Scotland two years ago."

Again, everyone went silent as they processed Naruto's story. No one even noticed that the scanning machine had finished. "That's when you started travelling around, wasn't it?" Raven asked, remembering that Naruto said he had travelled around when he learned how to make great tea's and coffee's.

Nodding, Naruto smiled. "Yeah. After I spent a few days in a hospital I started looking around the world to try and find a way home. I even came across a few heroes and villains but no one could help me. I also discovered that, for some reason, my own chakra is killing me somehow and I can't figure out why. The only thing I managed to figure out is that it takes a toll on my body if I use my chakra."

Remembering why Naruto was being scanned in the first place, Cyborg looked back at the computer and typed a few things. "Well, apart from the fact you are perfectly healthy, I can't see anything that might be killing you."

"Well, it was worth a shot," Naruto said as he got up from the table, stretching his back with a few 'pop's. He didn't think they'd find anything, not that he didn't appreciate it though. "You guys got any food? I'm starving."

Raven didn't look too happy that the scanner's showed nothing and wondered if something was missed, although she doubted it. Cyborg is usually thorough when it comes to health. She was also worried about Naruto's sudden mood shift as he was depressingly sad a moment ago and now he's happy again, which didn't seem healthy in her opinion. Robin, meanwhile, nodded at Naruto's request. "Yeah, we have a kitchen. Come on, we'll show you."

Now walking down a hallway towards the Comms Room, Naruto slowed his walk so that he fell back to Raven, who looked deep in thought. "You alright?" he quietly asked, snapping the dark girl out of her thoughts.

"I should be asking you that," Raven said back, looking at Naruto from beneath her hood. "I can feel your emotions so I know that you're not okay."

Naruto never lost his smile when he heard that. Instead, he said, "I'll be alright, so don't worry." He glanced around, looking at some of the doors they passed. "Don't suppose your rooms here?"

Raven gave Naruto a hard look. Her room was private and she never let her friends in. "You'll never know," she said in a challenging tone, making Naruto smirk at her.

They entered the Comms Room and Naruto whistled at the view the Tower gave. He could see nearly all of Jump City from here, even if it was at night. Then there was the massive TV, the huge couch that sat in the middle of the room, and the large kitchen in the corner that was fully stocked. "This is better than my apartment," he commented, walking over to the kitchen.

Before anyone could say anything, Naruto started rummaging through the cupboards and draws, obviously in search of certain items and ingredients. "What are you doing?" Raven asked as Beastboy and Cyborg went over to the couch. Starfire and Robin followed after Raven, also curious to know what the blond was doing.

"Making ramen," Naruto replied without looking. "Now, where's the pot... Aha! Found it!"

"What is ramen?" Starfire quietly asked Robin, having never heard of this before.

She was lucky that Naruto didn't hear that question otherwise he would have went on a long rant about the glory that is ramen. "Its a Japanese noodle dish," Robin answered as he and Starfire walked away to join their friends on the couch. "I've had it a few times, but only the instant stuff and it was okay."

Raven stayed in the kitchen area and watched Naruto begin cooking. She had only known the blond for a couple of weeks and she found it odd to see him so focused on something. So, using her abilities to boil the kettle and pour herself a drink, she settled down and took a seat at the kitchen table and watched as the blond worked. It was hard to believe that someone as cheerful as him could have gone through so much horror and come out like this. Then there was the creature that was sealed with Naruto since his birth.

'It certainly explains the energy I felt,' Raven thought while taking a sip of her drink, 'But it doesn't explain why my powers reacted to his like that. They are completely different.'

"Why are you staring at me like that?"

Snapping out of her thoughts, Raven could see Naruto looking at her with a smile and a raised eyebrow. "I wasn't staring," Raven argued with a slight blush of embarrassment, "I was deep in thought." Laughing at how she reacted, Naruto went back to cooking. "Actually, I was thinking about what you said, about your tenant." She watched carefully as Naruto stopped what he was doing for a moment. "Can you still use its power?"

With a frown, Naruto shook his head. "No, for some reason I haven't been able to use it since I got here. I used to be able to meditate and take myself into my own mindscape, but... I don't know. It's like there's a door between me and the seal, and the door's locked tight. I haven't been able to summon Kurama's chakra and I haven't heard from it either."

Raven actually flinched a little after Naruto spoke, being able to feel how sad he was. The man had truly lost everything and everyone, even the one being that had been with him since birth. "I-I'm sorry," Raven said while noticing that Naruto was clenching his shaking fist again, trying not to show his emotions. Reaching over, Raven gently placed her hand on top of his, glad to feel Naruto's tremor slow to a stop.

"Thank you," Naruto quietly said with a small smile of appreciation.

While her hand was on Naruto's, Raven subtly used her powers to try and see what was wrong with Naruto's chakra. His chakra had a very calm feeling to it and she could tell it was strong, but she couldn't sense anything wrong with it. Realising it was quiet, Raven blinked and looked to her friends, her eyes widening as she saw them all grinning and staring at her and Naruto.

Holding hands.

Calmly, Raven took her hand back from Naruto and glared at her friends. "Not. One. Word." she said, her eyes promising excruciating pain if someone makes a comment. Her eyes narrowed as their grins grew. She really hoped that they wouldn't jump to conclusions. Chuckling at what was happening, Naruto went back to the boiling pot and stirred it.

'It's been a while,' Naruto thought as he and all the Titans sat around the kitchen table and ate the ramen that he made. He was sat between Raven and Starfire while Cyborg and Beastboy sat opposite them and Robin was sat at the end of the table. 'I can't remember the last time I sat with friends and had fun,' he thought, knowing that the last time was before the Fourth Shinobi War.

They were swapping some stories. The Titans with a few of their escapades defeating some villains while he told them all of some of his earlier missions. Right now, Naruto was just finishing his story of some of his D-Rank missions. "...And then we cornered the enemy! She's fought back, nearly taking my eyes out as we captured her and brought her back."

"Dude," Beastboy said with a laugh, "It's just a cat!"

"She was a demon! A demon I tell you!" Naruto shuddered. He still had the random nightmare of that cat and, from what he could remember, many other Konoha Shinobi had the same nightmares. "Pretty sure there was a bet going on with the more senior Shinobi on how long it will take for someone to snap and kill the creature." They all had a laugh at his exaggeration, though Naruto pouted as they didn't seem to believe him. Even Raven gave a smile at his stories.

Eating some of his noodles, Robin commented, "This stuff is good. Better than the instant stuff I had before."

It took a lot for Naruto not to tear up at the mention of instant ramen. He still had a scroll full of the stuff and he had no way of accessing it without possibly killing himself. The scroll just sat there in his apartment, mocking him. "It took me a while to get it right," Naruto explained, "But the stuff back home was much better than what I can do. Ichiraku's made it perfectly."

Eating more of her noodles, Raven found Naruto's comment hard to believe. If his drinks, and apparently his food, were anything to go by then Naruto was a natural in the kitchen. Beastboy and Cyborg were slurping their ramen quickly, Robin enjoyed his at a leisurely pace, and Starfire also loved hers, though she did ask if she could add mustard which made Naruto a little confused.

Before long, Naruto realised that it was nearly four in the morning and he had to open his shop in a few hours. "It's been fun but I'm gonna head home, guys," he said with a yawn, finally feeling tired after everything today. Even the Titans were showing their own exhaustion and stuffing their stomachs full of good food didn't help. "Need to get some sleep. I think you guys need it too."

Like a bunch of children, each Titans whined and said they weren't feeling tired even though it was obvious they were. "I'll teleport to your apartment," Raven suggested, seeing the others nod. They each gave Naruto a tired goodbye, although Starfire did give Naruto another hug. This time it was with her Tameranian strength and Naruto almost felt his back snap from the gesture. Cyborg and Beastboy followed after her, saying their goodnights.

It was Robin that surprised Raven as the leader shook Naruto's hand and said, "You saved us from the Puppet King so feel free to come visit whenever you want. Doors always open to you."

"T-Thank's," Naruto said, also surprised by the kind offer. He kind of felt like an honorary Titan now. He wondered if he would get one of those communicators they had. "You guys can come by by shop too, if you like," he offered happily before saying, "Just make your you guys come disguised, don't need reporters and paparazzi annoying my regular's." Raven nodded at this, without Naruto or Robin seeing. She considered herself one of his regulars and would hate to see someone taking pictures of her as she tried to enjoy a cup of tea. After Robin agreed, he too left for bed.

Raven turned to Naruto. "Now to your apartment," she said, raising her hand. Naruto watched in interest as her magic enveloped them both before receding, showing they were just outside of his apartment.

"That's cool," Naruto commented with an impressed whistle.

"It does come in handy," Raven said, like it was nothing. To be honest, teleporting was incredibly useful. Especially when she wanted to get something to eat without her friends seeing her in the kitchen. A quick teleport and she's got her snacks within seconds and no ones the wiser. "Hey, thanks again for your help tonight," she said while lowering her hood.

"No problem," he said with a laugh, "I always help my friends when I can, be it just having a quick chat or stopping a supervillain from killing innocent heroes." Opening the door, he gave Raven another smile, "So, am I seeing you at my shop tomorrow? Or later today I should say?"

Readying her teleporting spell, Raven didn't even need to think about. "I'd imagine so, as long as no one else threatens the city." They shared a quick laugh as Raven slowly started to sink into the ground. "Goodnight," she said, still holding her smile.

Returning it, Naruto also replied with, "Goodnight, Raven." Once she was gone, Naruto went into his apartment and locked his door. Feeling too tired to change clothes or anything, he made his way to his bed and fell on it, snuggling into his pillow with a yawn. It didn't take long before he fell asleep with a light snore.

For the first time in a while, Naruto actually had a restful sleep despite only getting in a few hours. There were no nightmares or anything, just sleep. He had a feeling he had a dream but couldn't remember it although he could have sworn he could remember seeing the colour purple for some reason. In fact, the restful night put him in a good mood for the day.

Right now he finished pouring a drink for a customer before handing it to them. "There you go," he said, "Please enjoy!"

"Thanks," the customer said before taking their drink and going to a table to join their friend.

"What's got you in a good mood?" a voice next to Naruto said. Turning, Naruto saw his colleague Max, a teen who helped work at the Fallen Leaf. He had only been working there a couple of months now and, so far, he was enjoying it as the pay was good and it gave him time to study in his spare time. He has short black hair and wears a blue hoodie beneath the apron that Naruto provided for him.

Cleaning the espresso machine, Naruto answered, "Don't know what you're talking about."

"You were humming when you opened up," Max pointed out. "Plus you haven't stopped smiling either. And it's starting to freak me out."

"I had a good night, that's all," Naruto replied, obviously not wanting to tell anyone what actually happened. "You'd be amazed what a good nights sleep can do. What about you? How was your night?"

Putting some dirty mugs and glasses on a tray and bringing it back over to get cleaned, Max groaned, "Too busy finishing homework. If I don't get a B on my next test, my Mum said she was gonna ban me from my games until I get my grades up."

Laughing at how his employee was grumbling, Naruto glanced at the clock and remembered something. "Hey, I need to go pick some something up before I forget. Will you be okay looking after things for a little while?"

"Yeah, yeah," Max waved him off. "Just make sure you're back before your girlfriend gets here."

That made Naruto trip over his own feet. He just managed to catch himself thanks to the counter. Snapping his head around, Naruto then gave Max a confused look. "Girlfriend? What are you talking about?"

"The girl that wears a hood and sits by the corner, reading and not talking to anyone but you," Max said, his grin growing as he spoke, "Also known as, Raven of the Teen Titans." He had spoken to the girl some times and while they had some small talk here and there, Raven only ever chatted with Naruto.

Sputtering as he blushed, Naruto couldn't believe what Max had just said. Raven?! His girlfriend?! 'I mean we did sleep together that one time but we're just friends!' he thought before voicing his last thought. "We're just friends!" He glared at Max, seeing that the teen was laughing at his reaction, "And you just talked yourself out of the raise I was going to give you!"

"Wait! I was kidding!" Max shouted, trying in vain to get back the raise but it was too late as Naruto was already out of the door. "...Aw."

"Thanks again old man!" Naruto said as he left a store, laughing at how the owner cursed him for the 'old man' comment. He was now carrying a brown package, a bottle of sake that he had specially ordered for tomorrow's event. He made sure to hold it carefully, not wanting to drop and smash it. While walking back towards his shop though, he passed an alley and had to stop as he heard something.

It sounded like a child was crying. Placing the bottle down and too the side so it won't smash, he went down the surprisingly wide alley with narrowed eyes as he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. Something wasn't right. He found the child and saw that they were huddled in the corner, a large rag covering their form as they cried. Taking a quick look around, Naruto could see nothing out of the ordinary.

The child was still crying so Naruto reached down to touch their shoulder. But just as his fingers brushed the rag, he jumped back just in time as a man landed where he was standing a moment ago. He could see that there were two more men like the first one surrounding him, appearing from the shadows. Everyone of them wore the same exact thing; a black uniform with metal plates around their limbs, and an orange mask that covered their faces. They all just stared at Naruto and they didn't say a word.

"Mind telling me who you all are?" Naruto asked, looking at each of them but still they said nothing. One of the men moved first, throwing a punch at Naruto was surprising speed but he easily caught it. Naruto then threw his own punch and landed it on the man's chest, knocking him back a few feet. "So that's how it is," Naruto said, cracking his neck, "Let's get this over with. I've got to get back to work." Even without his chakra, Naruto was still formidable with his Taijutsu, having kept up with his training in his spare time.

They all moved at the same time, trying to overpower him quickly but Naruto was anything but. Taking a step back to let a fist fly past him, Naruto quickly grabbed the appendage and spun, throwing the first masked assailant into another. Using the momentum, Naruto backhanded the other assaulter in the jaw just as they lunged at him. Surprisingly, the person wasn't launched away which was what Naruto had intended and, instead, they took the hit. They then ducked down and tried to sweep Naruto off his feet but he jumped over the leg.

The first offender returned with a flurry of punches that forced Naruto to back up while blocking. The second person appeared from behind and landed several blows to Naruto's back, making him grunt in pain, but he threw back an elbow that connected with the persons head to get them away. Naruto then grabbed the persons arms in front of him and held them tight as he jumped to plant his feet in their chest.

Imagine Naruto's surprise when one of the arms he held onto ripped off to reveal metal and wires. "What?!" he gasped in shock, examining the limb. He looked back to see the person stand back up, as though the wound didn't affect them. "You're all robots," Naruto realised with narrowed eyes. "Who sent you?!" he demanded but they still refused to answer.

They just stared at each other before they ran to the walls, scaling up them with ease. Even the one that was missing an arm managed to escape despite Naruto trying to stop it. Now he was standing in the alley, holding onto a robots severed arm, and looking very confused about everything.

"Everything okay?" Max asked as Naruto returned to the shop, still looking confused. "And why do you have an arm with you?" Even the customers had to do a double take when they saw the store owner walk in with the object.

Glancing down at the appendage he was carrying, Naruto answered with, "Nothing much happened. I was just mugged by three weird robot ninja's. Ripped one of their arms off and they ran away before they could get anything."

"..."

"..."

"Fine, don't tell me," Max said with a disbelieving sigh, thinking that his boss was just trying to be funny. "By the way, your girlfriends here. She was waiting for you to pour her drink," he said, pointing his thumb behind him, showing that Raven was back and sitting in the corner with a book in hand.

Twitching, Naruto glared at Max who just gave him a cheeky grin. "She is not my girlfriend," he muttered with a slight blush. "And if you make that joke again, I'll shove this robot arm where the sun don't shine."

Ignoring Max who just gave him a laugh, Naruto walked over to Raven and smiled while saying hello. "...Why are you carrying around an arm?" Raven asked with a raised eyebrow. As always, Naruto continued to surprise her and she had a feeling that this kind of thing will usually happen.

Placing the arm and the bottle of sake on the table, Naruto sat down. "I'm actually not sure what happened. This all happened about ten minutes ago. I was walking back to work, heard someone crying in an alley and, being the nice guy that I am, went to go see what was wrong. Next thing I know, three guys dressed as ninja's appeared and started attacking me without saying anything."

"What?!" Raven exclaimed in shock of hearing her friend just being attacked like that. A few of the customers glanced up at the shout but quickly went back to their own business.

"Don't worry, I'm fine," Naruto continued, "As soon as they realised it wasn't going to be an easy fight, they ran away. Well, that was after I accidently ripped one of their arms off."

Examining the appendage, Raven gave Naruto another eyebrow raise, "That's not a prosthetic. Were they robots?"

"Think so. No idea why they attacked me though. They didn't say a word the entire time." Tapping the torn off arm, Naruto gave it a thoughtful look. "Don't suppose you've ever come across robots with limbs like this?"

"My friends and I have fought robots before but I've never seen any of them with an arm like this," Raven answered, also observing the limb. "If you want, I can take it back to the Tower with me and have Robin and Cyborg look at it. I'm sure they'll want to know more about it as well."

Nodding, Naruto agreed. "That'd be great, thanks. Now then, I believe I offered you a free cup of tea the last time we spoke."

"Oh, good. I was starting to think you forgot about that offer."
