Chapter 2
Mike Wheeler's Basement 1983
Seb was leaning on a drawer looking at the floor in deep thought as he kept glancing back at Eleven, her scratched his head debating on what to do as the other trio of the group were questioning and staring at the girl
"Boys, you're scaring her," Seb said after a while as the trio looked back at him
"She's scaring the crap out of me!" Lucas said afraid as the girl just kept looking at them without a word or a sound out of her
"Maybe she's deaf," Dustin said and then clapped his hands hard toward her and she leaned back afraid "Okay not deaf," Dustin said and Seb cleared his throat
"She's drenched in water, she needs some towels, fresh clothes, and food if she's to avoid a cold," Seb said matter of fact as the trio looked at him confused "Well what are you waiting for assholes?" Seb said as Lucas and Dustin quickly went up the stairs but not Mike
"Hey, who made you our leader?" Mike said angrily and Seb sighed and looked at Mike seriously
"Not now Mike, I grew up with a cop, I know more about these things," Seb said and Mike wanted to protest again "Just go and grab clothes from your older sister before Dustin does," Seb said as Mike sighed in frustration and went to the upper side of his house
Seb sighed and smirked a little not believing he had managed to get the others to leave him alone, he turned around and looked Eleven straight in the eye as Eleven looked him afraid
Seb bent down and without separating his eyes from her he moved his left arm sleeve upwards Eleven saw that and her emotions changed from cautiousness to curiosity and ended in shock as she put her left arm forward next to Seb's as both arms connected showing their tattoo numbers
"Little brother?" Eleven asked quietly looking into his eyes in hope as Seb nodded and put a finger to his mouth
"Don't tell anyone, or Papa will find us," Seb said, and Eleven nodded in understanding "Four helped me escape, I will talk to him about you and we'll help you okay?" Seb said as Eleven nodded vigorously and then Seb couldn't help himself and moved forward grabbing her in a tight hug as Eleven put her hands around his neck "I missed you, big sis," Seb said as Eleven tightened her hold a little
Seb moved back patting her bald head a little as Eleven smiled at him "We'll keep you safe okay? And remember," Seb said breaking the hug as Eleven looked at him and nodded
"Keep quiet," Eleven said nodding her head and Seb smiled at her, he heard footsteps coming from the stairway and he walked to his left to grab his jacket
"What are you doing?" Mike asked as he, Lucas, and Dustin came back each carrying something in their hands and putting them close to Eleven
"Going home, Ford told me to come back before twelve and I don't want to make him mad," Seb said putting his jacket on as Eleven perked at the mention of Ford
"Seb, what the hell man?" Dustin said and Seb looked at him with a deadpanned expression
"Ford heard us on the walkie-talkies, and I made a promise," Seb said looking back at Eleven "Sorry I have to go guys, take care," Seb said saying the last part more to Eleven than the others as Eleven gave him a small smile a thing only Mike saw but didn't ask further questions
Seb put his jacket on and quickly went out of Mike's house, he ran to his bike and quickly went off with one goal in mind, his brother
Ford was resting on his bed without a shirt and with his hands behind his back as he tried to get some sleep but couldn't, his mind was filled with endless thoughts and endless worries, this situation with the Byers kid had struck a chord on Ford
The whole thing made Ford go back in time figuratively, to a time back in the lab, with the experiments that Brenner did, and that made him get goosebumps as he still remembers those whispers of his name
Then he moved upwards quickly when he heard a door opening and closing with force and rapid footsteps coming towards his room, then came the knocking of his door with the frantic shouts of his little brother "Ford! Are you awake!?" Seb shouted as Ford looked at the door and sighed
"Yeah! What do you want shithead!?" Ford said and Seb quickly entered the room where Ford was and Ford saw how impatient and anxious Seb was "Whoa, whoa, what's wrong Seb?" Ford asked quickly while taking a seat on the edge of the bed
"We found Eleven Ford," Seb said out of breath and Ford's eyes winded as his heart dropped
"What?" Ford said as Seb looked at him with little fear in his eyes
"We found Eleven," Seb said a little bit quieter as Ford took a sharp intake of breath and pinched his nose
"No, no, shit, fuck, god dammit," Ford said stepping out of the bed and putting his hands on his head in anxiety "Fuck Papa is going to turn the whole city upside down looking for her," Ford said rubbing his face and then looked at Seb who was looking at him with pleading eyes "What?" Ford said and Seb winded his eyes
"No, out of the question Seb," Ford said and Seb dropped his eyes
"Come on Ford! She's all alone!" Seb said as Ford pinched his nose
"She's a risk of all we've been doing!" Ford shouted as Seb got angry "You know how much of a prize she is to Papa!" Ford said angrily
"All the more reason to help her!" Seb said angrily as his eyes glowed orange red "You know they care more about power than control, who knows what they have done to her this past four years!" Seb said as Ford frowned and his eyes glowed a bright green
"So what? We tell the old man!? You know how he is, you know exactly what I had to do four years ago! And your friends? What about them!?" Ford shouted and Seb looked at the floor in frustration
"Then what the fuck is the point of us!?" Seb shouted in anger as Ford's eyes stopped glowing and looked at Seb in sympathy "You told me Papa wanted us to be weapons! And then you said we could be something else! But we aren't, we're still hidden, Ford!" Seb said and Ford sighed rubbed his face and dropped down on the bed again
"Then what do propose?" Ford said with a sigh looking Seb in the eyes
"I don't know but we can't do nothing," Seb said dropping down next to him and looking at the ground "You should've seen her Ford, she was scared out of her mind," Seb said and Ford nodded in understanding
"Hopper can't know unless is an emergency, same as your powers," Ford said with a sigh as Seb nodded in understanding "Be honest, did you tell her who you were?" Ford said and Seb nodded "Okay, let me think for a second," Ford said rubbing his face "They're going to be searching her, and maybe she's connected to what happened to Will, we need to be in two fronts," Ford said sighing
"What do you mean?" Seb asked in curiosity and slight fear
"Is no coincidence she appeared as soon as Will disappeared, it never is with those bastards," Ford Said putting his hands together "One of us has to keep a close eye on Eleven and the other one Will, and the Lab, and there's no way in hell I'll let you get close to that place," Ford said and Seb tsked in frustration
"Dammit, just don't go overboard okay Ford?" Seb said and Ford smirked and grabbed Seb by the head and started ruffling his hair
"Now don't get all too mushy Seb, it's pathetic," Ford said and Seb swatted his hand away
"Jackass," Seb said as Ford chuckled a little "What's your plan anyway?" Seb asked and Ford looked ahead and sighed
"I'll tell you when I have one," Ford said with a defeated sigh "For now I'll start trailing Eleven's and Will's trails," Ford said rubbing his face and looking at the hour "Is late and we have school tomorrow, go get a shower and get some rest, Seb," Ford said and his little brother stepping out of the bed
Seb walked to the door of Ford's room and before exiting he looked back and stared at Ford a little fear in his eyes "We'll be okay, right?" Seb asked and Ford smiled at him
"As long as we're together, everything will be all right," Ford said reassuringly and Seb nodded his head
"Thanks, good night big brother," Seb said and Ford smiled at him, a smile that dropped as soon as Seb exited the room as Ford turned 180 full of concern now, he stepped up and looked at his journal again, focusing on the word upside-down "What did you find there Papa?" Ford whispered to himself in full concern and curiosity
Next morning 1983
The Hopper household found family was eating breakfast silently as Hopper was still focused on the case and running scenarios in his head
"Found anything on the search yet?" Ford asked finally breaking the silence as Hopper looked at Ford confused
"What?" Hopper asked confused
"The search last night, did you find anything?" Seb clarified for his brother as Hopper sighed and shook his head
"No, and it didn't help that it rained," Hopper said and Forn nodded in understanding
"No tracks to follow huh?" Ford said and Hopper nodded and groaned in confirmation "Sorry old man, but you'll find him, I'm certain of it," Ford said and Hopper snorted
"Wish I was that confident," Hopper said and Seb snorted as Ford smirked at him
"Nah, don't rob my shtick, I'm the confident one, and Seb's the patient one," Ford said and Hopper again snorted in amusement
"Oh yeah? And what am I?" Hopper said and Seb chuckled
"The grumpy one," Seb said with a snort as Hopper looked at them with a small smile on his face
"Little shits," Hopper whispered to himself, and then the phone of the house ran as Hopper immediately stood up and walked towards it "Flo? What is it?" Hopper said
Seb and Ford looked at Hopper in curiosity trying to find what the conversation was about, it took a few moments for the call to finish as Hopper hung up the phone and pinched his nose
"What is it?" Seb asked in curiosity and Hopper shook his head
"Is nothing," Hopper said but then looked at both kids who were curious and a little afraid and he sighed "It was Ms. Byers, said she had a call last night, she believes it was Will," Hopper said and Seb raised an eyebrow
"And you don't believe her?" Seb asked in curiosity and Hopper shook his head no
"No, I think is just the emotion that's getting to her, I should know," Hopper said sadly and Ford picked on it so he decided to change the topic
"Did Will speak to her?" Ford asked in curiosity as Hopper grabbed his hat and looked at Ford
"No, she said she only heard his breathing and then the phone short-circuit and got broken," Hopper said, and Ford frowned in deep thought
"Huh, weird," Ford said as Hopper put his hat on and walked to the exit of the house
"Take your brother to school till we find Will, I don't want any more problems okay," Hopper said and the other two nodded in understanding "See you later kiddos," Hopper said and the kids smiled at him
"Come on, we should get going too," Ford said grabbing his and Seb's plates as Seb stood up and walked to where both of their backpacks were, Ford grabbed his as Seb handed it to him and both exited the house
They walked forward to where a beautiful 1967 black Chevy Impala was parked as Ford grabbed Seb's bike and put it in the trunk "I still can't believe someone gave you this car," Seb said looking at the car
"Well, I do have a silver tongue and a little suggestion powers go along like a charm," Ford said opening the doors of the car as he entered the driver seat followed by a shocked Seb
"Wait, wait, you used your powers?" Seb said entering the co-pilot seat "You said we could only use them in an emergency," Seb said flabbergasted as Ford smirked as he fixed his rearview mirror
"I did, and I didn't break my promise," Ford said as he started the car and took some sunglasses from the compartment "This was an emergency," Ford said smirking as he started driving to the school
"Jesus Christ," Seb said with a sigh of exasperation as Ford turned on the stereo
"I mean it Seb, this was just a beauty I couldn't let go of," Ford said cheekily and then heard the song on the radio "Now quit complaining and sing with me, kiddo," Ford said hitting the wheel with the song beat
"What? No, it's embarrassing," Seb said and Ford chuckled
"Oh come on, you have an amazing voice, come sing it, carry on my wayward son~," Ford said looking at Seb with a smile on his face
"Stop," Seb said chuckling a little
"There'll be peace when you are done~," Ford said moving his head along the son Seb sighed and then smiled
"Lay your weary head to rest~," Seb as Ford's smirk grew wider, and looked at the road ahead
"Don't you cry no more," Both sang slash shouted as they started bobbing their head to the music of the song Ford screamed a woo sound and pushed his foot on the pedal to the chuckles and laughter of his little brother
Hawkins High School 1983
Ford arrived at school after dropping Seb off, he had an almost finished cigarette in his mouth when he stepped out of the car, he took it out and dropped it on the ground while stepping on it, he looked around at the crowds of people and took a deep breath in to center himself
He walked to the school with his backpack in his hand, calm and confident as he felt some stares at him but he was used to it, apparently, some girls found him pretty, but he couldn't care less, twelve years in a lab does wonders for romantic feelings he guessed, doesn't mean he didn't get around, but that's a secret he would keep from Hopper and Seb every time
He entered the school and the first thing he found was Jonathan putting the posters he had made and Nancy Wheeler approaching him, he raised an eyebrow in curiosity and decided to talk to Jonathan
"It sucks" Ford heard Nancy say as Jonathan was looking at her "I'm sure he's all right," She said, and before Jonathan could talk he felt a hand on his shoulder
"Wheeler is right you know," Ford said gaining the attention of the two teens as Ford was looking at the poster "You sleep all right Jon?" Ford asked in concern and Jonathan shook his head no
"Phone call kept us awake all night and morning, Chief didn't believe my mother," Jonathan said and Nancy grew confused
"Phone call?" She asked in confusion and the two boys looked at her
"Mom believes Will called us last night," Jonathan said and Nancy's eyes winded "Chief said it was probably a prank call," Jonathan said as Ford frowned and looked back at the posters
"Well the old man is a cynical man, so don't take it personally," Ford said as his eyes narrowed a little "They turned out all right, how much did the copies cost?" Ford asked in curiosity
"About five dollars, we printed a lot," Jonathan said as Ford reached for his back pocket where his wallet was
"Here, is three dollars, is all the change I have let, hope is enough to cover it," Ford said as Jonathan shook his head and Nancy started at the blond teen in surprise
"Ford I can't," Jonathan said putting his hands forward but Ford grabbed his right hand and pushed the money on it
"You can and you will, I was going to use it to buy booze, this is more productive," Ford said and Jonathan still tried to protest "Use it as money gas for Indiana," Ford said and Jonathan and Nancy's eyes winded one in shock and the other one in confusion
"Indiana?" Nancy asked in confusion and Ford started at her
"Lonnie lives there, and that's exactly where he's going," Ford said and Jonathan frowned
"How did you know?" Jonathan asked in curiosity and Ford smirked
"Is exactly what I would do Jon," Ford said as the bell of the school rang indicating that classes were about to start "Go on, there should not be any traffic at this hour," Ford said and Jonathan sighed and nodded as he pocket the money and went out the school
Nancy and Ford stared at where Jonathan had gone out concern in their eyes as Nancy then looked at Ford "That was nice of you," Nancy said as Ford looked at him with a raised eyebrow "I mean giving him your money at him, it was nice," She said and Ford shrugged his shoulders
"It's the right thing to do," Ford said as he felt someone clapping his right shoulder
"Yo Ford! Where the hell were you yesterday? We missed you," Steve said as he wrapped an arm around Nancy and Ford looked at him
"Busy," Ford offered as he shrugged Steve's hand off and walked toward the classroom
"Doing what? Jerking off in the streets?" Tommy said mockingly as the group started walking to
"Now that you say it, I was at your house, funny you didn't hear me," Ford said looking back at them with a smirk on his face as Tommy and the rest looked at him confused "Didn't know your mom could scream that loud," Ford said as the group minus Tommy snorted as the teen got angry
"Screw you," Tommy said and Ford gasped in shock
"Now son, that's no way to talk to your old man," Ford said and Tommy tried to tackle him but Ford grabbed his neck "No manners," Ford said ruffling Tommy's head and chuckling as the group chuckled at their antics and then Nancy cleared her throat
"Come on guys, Ford we have a test remember," Nancy said and Ford let go of Tommy
"Right, lead the way, Wheeler, I'll make sure to sit behind you so I can copy," Ford said and Nancy's eyes winded and then she frowned
"Do that and your ass is dead," Nancy said entering the classroom first
"Hey young Hop, we're having a party at my house later, you should come," Steve said and Ford shrugged his shoulders
"I'll think about it, being a third wheel for two different couples is not on my to-do list," Ford said as Carol smiled at him
"Don't you worry, I'll bring someone for you," Carol said and Ford looked at her
"You're weird," Ford said entering the classroom and leaving a shocked Carol behind
Hawkins Middle School 1983
"Are you out of your mind!?" Lucas shouted to Mike, turns out Mike had skipped school to be with Eleven, which Seb found a little bit weird but just went with the flow, he told them she was someone important and that's was the reaction Lucas had
"Just listen to me," Mike said and Lucas frowned while looking at Mike
"You're out of your mind!" Lucas said and Mike frowned too
"She knows about Will!" Mike shouted back as Lucas and Dustin's eyes winded, and Seb looked at Eleven noticing she got happier when he came back and now she was nodding her head at him
"What do you mean she knows about Will?" Dustin asked in curiosity and Mike moved to his drawer
"She pointed at Will's picture, she knew he was missing, I could tell," Mike said as Lucas looked at him incredulously
"You could tell?" Lucas asked sarcastically and Seb cleared his throat
"I mean Mike you do sound a little bit crazy," Seb said and Dustin and Lucas nodded feeling the same way Mike tried to defend himself but Seb continued talking "But, she did appear right after Will disappeared, it can't be no coincidence," Seb said and Mike nodded
"That is weird," Dustin said looking at Lucas
"And she said that bad people are after her, maybe the same bad people are the ones who took Will," Mike said trying to convince the other two "I think she knows what happened to him," Mike said and Lucas frowned
"Then why doesn't she tell us?" Lucas said confused and then looked at Eleven and walked up to her "Do you know where he is?" Lucas said looking down at her and then she grabbed her shoulders and Eleven's eyes went quickly towards Seb's in fear
"Do you know where he is!?" Lucas shouted and Seb grabbed his shoulder and pushed him back
"Stop Lucas you're scaring her," Seb said putting himself between Lucas and Eleven "It's obvious why she hasn't told us, those people are dangerous and evil," Seb said seriously and Lucas frowned at him
"This is nuts, we have to take her to your mom! Or your brother Seb!" Lucas said and both Mike and Seb shook their heads no
"No out of the question," Seb said and at the same time Mike started talking
"Yeah, she said if we go to any adult, we'll put them in danger," Mike said and Dustin looked at him afraid
"What kind of Danger?" Dustin said and Mike looked at him
"Danger danger," Mike said using the same words twice to emphasize his point then put his hand in a gun sign on Dustin's forehead and then moved it back towards Lucas who swatted away once it reached him
"No, no, no!" Lucas said angrily "We're going back to plan A, we're telling your mom," Lucas said frustrated and walked fat to the door of Mike's room and opened it but it quickly shut down on its own forcefully
Lucas tried to open it again as Seb sighed internally and looked back and saw Eleven standing up with blood dripping off her nose he heard the door close again forcefully and this time it locked itself
Seb's long-forgotten care for his big sister came back as he unknowingly moved his sleeve upwards to her face as the rest of the group looked at her in a mix of awe and fear
She frowned towards Lucas and narrowed her eyes as she spoke forcefully "No," She said telling them she wouldn't agree to that plan, then she noticed Seb's arm and her anger went down as she grabbed his wrist and cleaned her nose with his clothes
The feeling of awe and fear never leaving the room
Unknown location ?
Have I ever told you about the allegory of the cave? No? Oh well is an interesting one, picture it like this, imagine if you were born, grew and lived all your life in the same room, this room has no windows, no walls, and especially no doors
So what happens, is this room becomes your world, your entire reality revolves around this room and nothing exists besides this room, now this room is special, is not just a simple empty room, no, no, this room has a poster
Can be any poster, I like to picture this poster as a poster of Michelle Pfifer but anyway, back to the topic, this poster and this room are all you know but newsflash, is all a fucking lie,
It's all a fucking lie! And I'm certain of it! I have to prove it, you see sometimes there are cracks on that poster, and it starts to fall off sometimes, and those who see it, are labeled as crazy and sometimes insane because they saw what is real, and to them what's behind the poster is nothing but imagination and idiocrasy
Is this why I am here then? Oh yeah, you don't know what here is right? I mean the Federal Bureau of Investigation building in Indiana, that's where am at right now, but is weird now, for starters, no one is here
"Hello?" Some pieces of technology are hugely different, they feel futuristic, out of time, it feels like I jumped in time, but that can't be right, can it?
"Is anybody here!?" I shouted in the lobby expecting an answer but I got none, figured, I should probably make my way upward then
It's funny, first I thought my brother had sent me a message, but now I'm not sure, last I remember me and Seb, my little brother, we were looking for his missing Friend Will, but now I'm here
Confusing isn't it? Yeah I know was also the same for me at first, but this is a long story, my guys, what's the fun of knowing everything all at once, learned that from Ahri, the janitor
Who is Ahri? Well that's a good question, one I don't know the answer to, especially not when I first met him, the first thing that comes to mind when I think of him, is him singing and cleaning the floor
"Ah Four, you're late, you're here for the job," The man dressed in a janitor outfit said as I raised an eyebrow at him in confusion "Janitor's assistant, you need to go to the interview," Ahri said turning around and pointing ahead "Go that way to the elevator," He said
"Thanks, elevator that way, got it," I said, and at that moment I was confused as to why I wasn't questioning everything, but like I said you got to hear the full story, just like I did
"Very good, I'm acting sanitary by the way, you'll work for me, you can say I sent you," Ahri said and I nodded in understanding "If they don't hire you, then we'll work for the axe murderer," Ahri said and I made my way
Odd person I know, but that's the way of the late jobs, Ahri is a familiar face in my books
"Better than someone with no face," Ahir said as I glanced back at him without turning "Think about it, no face," Ahri said
But fair, I know what you're thinking if there was an axe murderer around, it's him one percent
I was nine years old the first time I saw behind the poster, the scientist told me I was imagining it, and I've been trying to pull it down ever since
Run, hide, turn around, everything is dead, red, oblivion, Control.
Whoa thought I lost you there for a moment, you know what's on my mind, where am I? When am I? Wasn't I looking for Will? Why am I in the FBI?

Answers I didn't have at that moment, and answers you're not ready to hear, but there was a good place to start right in front of me, the director's office
"Oh fuck, shit, shit, shiitt," Yep the director was dead, suicide for the looks of it, with a bullet hole in his head and a gun next to him on the floor
And I'm a simple guy, curiosity got the best of me and I bent down to grab the gun,
"Testing, Testing," A strangely muffled voice rang in my ears as I found myself on the director's chair with the gun pointed at my hand "We're broadcasting from the Pyramid/Other"
"Only the Director can wield, the Gun/Sword/Intentionally left behind,"
"Your application will be processed."

Objects of power can be caused or be results of AWEs, Altered, World, Events, or intrusions of the perceived reality, now, the service weapon, is of course a prime example of an OOP, a very powerful one, ingrained in the bureau's DNA, a key component in our prime candidate program, come out alive of that Russian roulette a winner and you huh, you're it

Something's out there, I shouldn't have come here, too late to back now, ah yeah, I'm not in the bureau anymore, this place? I call it the White void, they call it testing grounds
Multiple test I faced many in this story, but I do remember them all very well, this one was quite easy, I just ran, jumped, and dodged forward till I was face to face with the weapon
Do you want to know more? Yeah I get you, and I want to tell you more, trust me, but our time is up, don't worry we will see each other again, in this world, I'll even leave you a present just for you
Time to wake up Ford, Seb needs you, I'll be waiting here for you, to figure out
Who's in Control?
Hopper's House 1983
"Somethings coming, this threat an attack, duty as director, keep the bureau safe," A whisper of an older man awoke Ford from his slumber in fright as he sat up on his bed out of breath
"What in the fuck was that?" Ford asked out loud to the empty room as he lifted his right hand to rub his face but then felt a weight on it and looked down his eyes winded in shock and slight fear as he quickly stood up out of the bed throwing the thing on top of it
The thing in question was the same gun he saw in his dream or nightmare, depending on who'd you ask, and Ford kept staring at it out of breath, as anxiety crawled up on him, as he got afraid, how the hell does a gun of a dream appeared in reality
But then the gun started to fade away as Ford blinked several times and rubbed his eyes till he saw the gun disappearing away as his heart regained his normal bpm, but then a sharp pain invaded him located on his lower right arm
A tattoo started to form on his right arm, this tattoo was a beautiful drawing of the gun, the service weapon, doing the illusion that it was coming out of his skin and the gun, it had the word Control, written in italics on the barrel of it
He brought his right arm upwards to his eye level and concentrated long enough, picturing the gun in his right hand, as if he already knew unconsciously how to manifest it,
He opened his eyes and sure enough, the gun was there, right in his right hand, as the barrel started moving, as if it was alive,
He closed his eyes again but this time shorter than the last time he closed them as he saw the gun disappearing back into him, figuratively, when he opened his eyes back again
"The fuck is going on?" Ford whispered to himself now rubbing his face as he grabbed a white long-sleeved shirt and started putting it on
"Ford? You there? Come in, over," Ford heard Seb's voice on his walkie-talkie and walked towards it slowly
"Yeah I'm here kiddo, what's up? over," Ford responded as he heard Seb's breathing over his device, Seb did never learned how to talk on a walkie
"We're going to stay at Mike's house, she showed them her powers, I'm hiding in the bathroom right now, over," Seb said and Ford sighed and pinched his nose
"Well there goes the ruse, keep an eye on her, okay, I'm going out tonight, to protect some teens, over," Ford said as he grabbed his leather jacket and tried it on
"Going where? Over," Seb asked as Ford fixed his hair and put some lotion on him, he was just going there to keep an eye out
"Harrington's, over," Ford said and he heard Seb scoff on the other line
"Seriously with all that's going on you're going to a party? Over," Seb said and Ford snorted a little at his little brother's indignation
"In every horror movie, someone gets killed or disappears, and then the teen idiots throw a party and disaster occurs, I'm trying to prevent that, over," Ford said putting a golden necklace around his neck
"Fine, I get it, well, take care big brother, over and out," Seb said cutting the line off as Ford saw his reflection nodded at himself, and went out
Not realizing that his reflection didn't disappear, it kept staring at him till he exited the room and then it faded away
Ford grabbed a pen and a piece of paper and wrote a note to Hopper, knowing the old man was out of the search for Will, so he wrote where he and Seb were going to be just so the old man didn't worry too much
Hopper's house, sometime later 1983
Hopper was on the front porch of his house, with the note Ford had left behind on his left hand and his right the piece of hospital gown, this whole situation since the conversation he had with Earl, took him back four years
To the moment he found Seb and Ford, he frowned, he trusted the kids but he also knew they were hiding something from him, maybe in fear or something, whatever it was he decided to keep them away from it, for their safety, and now this whole situation, at least for him, it turned personal now
Mike's House 1983
Seb was cleaning his face in the bathroom when a small headache invaded his mind and a picture of a concern Hopper appeared in his mind for just a second, he shook his head to get rid of the pain as he stared at his reflection just a little bit
He sighed rubbed his face again and started walking away from the bathroom and saw Eleven sitting on her made-up home alone playing with a walkie-talkie
"Hey," Seb said sitting in front of her as she smiled a little at him "Are you okay?" Seb asked and Eleven nodded "Good, Mike told me he showed you around his house, is better than the lab isn't it?" Seb said and Eleven shrugged
"Closet, scary," She said, and Seb raised an eyebrow at her
"Closet?" Seb asked confused and Eleven nodded her head as Seb's eyes winded "Papa's punishment right?" Seb asked in shock and fear as Eleven looked down and nodded sadly
Seb moved his hand forward slowly to not frighten her and she slowly grabbed it and squeezed it "I'm sorry we left you there, it was chaos that day," Seb said and Eleven looked at him
"I understand," Eleven reassured him as he looked down at their joint hands and chuckled as nostalgia
"You always made me calm down, I remember when Papa made us face with Two, and I was scared shitless," Seb said and Eleven raised her eyebrow
"Shitless?" Eleven asked confused and slowly trying the word herself
"A lot scared," Seb explained and Eleven nodded in understanding "I told Four about you, yesterday," Seb said as Eleven's eyes perked up in interest "I can't take you to him yet, is dangerous, but he told me he will make sure they don't find you," Seb said and Eleven smiled a little at him but then she grew concerned
"Four danger?" Eleven asked and Seb smirked at her
"Don't worry, Four, or Ford as he goes by now, he's a badass," Seb said and Eleven raised an eyebrow at him
"Bad ass?" Eleven asked and Seb chuckled at her a little
"Badass, someone cool, and powerful," Seb said Eleven eyes winded and she smiled a little
"Four badass," Eleven repeated Seb nodded and then heard some footsteps coming down he squeezed Eleven's hand again and let go but didn't stand up and just looked back to see Mike walking down with a tray of food followed by a scared Dustin and Lucas
Mike saw how close Seb and Eleven were frowned in confusion and quickly took a seat pushing Seb slightly out of the way and putting a food tray in front of El
Seb frowned and stood up shaking himself as he made his way between Lucas and Dustin who were looking at Eleven a little afraid as she looked at them cautious "Don't worry, they won't tell anyone about you," Mike said as Seb nodded at her reassuringly
"Yeah we never would've upset you if we knew you had superpowers," Dustin said kind of cheekily as Mike and Seb swatted him with their hands telling him to be quiet "Ow!" Dustin said looking at Mike and Seb
"What Dustin is trying to say is that they were scared… earlier," Mike said and Eleven looked at them with a raised eyebrow
"Scared shitless?" Eleven said surprising everyone who wasn't there earlier and Seb put a fist over his mouth trying to hold back a snort
"Yeah, they were," Seb said with a little chuckle as Mike looked at him in confusion
"We just wanted to find our friend," Lucas said and El looked at him confused
"Friend?" She asked in confusion as Lucas frowned also in a confusion of her response
"Yeah friend, Will," Lucas explained but El was still confused, which Seb understood knowing full well how the Lab messed you up
"What is friend?" Eleven asked still confused over the new word she heard
"Is she serious?" Lucas asked the other two closest to him as Dustin shrugged his shoulders and Seb sighed to himself
"Um, a friend," Lucas started to explain but then Mike took over
"Is someone that you'd do anything for," Mike said loudly as Lucas and Seb sighed in frustration
"There he goes again," Seb said in a whisper and Lucas hummed in agreement as Dustin explained what other things friends did for each other
"And they never break a promise," Mike said looking at Eleven as the other three nodded their heads
"Especially when there's spit," Lucas said as Eleven looked at him again with confusion in her eyes
"Spit?" She asked confused
"Spit swear means…"Lucas said while spitting into his right hand "You never break your word," Lucas said grabbing Seb's right hand and grasping it with the hand with the spit on it "It's a bond," Lucas said
Seb looked at his hand in disgust and shock as he stared at Lucas and whispered, "Dude, what the hell?" He whispered as Lucas shrugged his shoulders, Seb sighed and us Dustin's shirt to clean himself off as Dustin tried to swat his hand away
Meanwhile, Mike was convincing Eleven to help them as Sabe finished cleaning himself off when he noticed Eleven stepping out of her little camp home
She walked to the board they had left of their Dungeons and Dragons game set and took a seat on Mike's seat to the watchful eye of the party
They gather around her just behind her except Seb, who stood in front of Eleven watching the board game trying to hide his expressions
She slowly reached for the wizard figurine and brought it close to her eyes "Will," She said almost in a whisper as Dustin's eyes winded
"Superpowers," Dustin said in amazement and Lucas looked at him as if he was crazy
Mike took a seat next to her as Seb took a seat in front of her too still his eyes glued to the board in front of him "Did you see him? On Mirkwood?" Mike asked in curiosity "Do you know where he is?" Mike asked trying to find everything as El looked at him and then pushed all the figurines off the board
"No, no," Seb thought dreading the worst and then it came, as his long lost sister moved the board upside down "No, no, fuck no," Seb thought as his eyes grew big in fear and dread
Then his breathing stopped as soon as El put the Wizard figurine representing Will right in the middle of the dark board
"I don't understand," Mike said and El looked straight at the figurine
"Hiding," El said as more and more dread invaded Seb as he looked up and crossed eyes with El who looked at him in sympathy
"Will is hiding?" Mike said as Eleven nodded her head "From the bad men?" Mike asked
"Please no, god Will," Seb thought as he saw El shaking her head no as Mike's curiosity grew even further
El looked straight at Seb's eyes as she slowly grabbed the Demogorgon figure and put it right next to Will's to the fear and shock of all the guys
Steve's house 1983
"You're not drinking?" Nancy asked Ford who was resting on the chair next to her right with a cigarette already lit in his mouth
"Nah, I'll let you kids have all the fun tonight," Ford said looking at her with a smirk making Nancy snort "I'm the designated driver, it's the only reason Carol lets me come to this things," Ford said chuckling as Carol and Tommy who were on the edge of the pool laughed at him both clearly a little wasted
"You're damm right Ford," Carol said shouting and Ford shook his head in exasperation
"You know what though," Ford said looking at Nancy, as she leaned forward a little to hear him right "Last year Nancy, she wouldn't have come here, ever," Ford said and Nancy looked at him incredulously
"I would've," Nancy said a little shocked, and Tommy, Carol, and even Barb who anyone could tell wasn't having any fun snorted in disagreement "I totally would have," Nancy said defending herself and Ford chuckled
"Really? Didn't you tell the old man that I was skipping classes last year?" Ford said and Nancy scoffed
"That's not my fault, how was I supposed to know that I had to lie to the chief?" Nancy said huffing as the trio minus Barb chuckled at her
"You were a rule sticker, nothing wrong with that, but I like this one better, seems so much fun," Ford said as Carol and Tommy nodded their heads in agreement and then Carol's eyes winded in recognition and she smirked
"Chrissy, you made it," Carol said as the group looked at where she was looking and saw a skinny blond girl with a blue hoodie and jeans walking towards, Carol quickly ran towards her as Ford kept staring at the girl "Thought you wouldn't come," Carol said grabbing Chrissy's hands and slowly dragging her to the rest of the group
"I kind of got lost," Chrissy said chuckling nervously as her eyes quickly went to where Ford was who was looking at her in curiosity and when their eyes met she quickly looked away shyly
"Figures, don't worry, let me introduce you to everyone else," Carol said with a smile on her face "Guys this is Chrissy, she joined the cheerleader team earlier this year," Carol said as Chrissy put her hand forward
"Hi, nice to meet you," Chrissy said and Ford smiled a little, finding her a little cute, a thing Chrissy saw and kind of blushed a little
"So that one is my boyfriend, Tommy," Carol said pointing at the freckled boy for Chrissy to look at, Tommy drank from his beer and nodded "This one is Barb, Nancy's friend, and the other girl is Nance, Steve's girlfriend who you met earlier right?" Carol said and Chrissy nodded
"Yeah, he let me in," Chrissy said to Carol and then she looked at Nancy and Barb "Hi," She said with a little smile on her face as Barb stood from her chair and grabbed Nancy's hand, and dragged her away a little
"And this one," Carol started saying but Chrissy beat her
"Ford right? I saw your track competition in the summer, you looked really cool," Chrissy said and Ford smirked a little and stood up while on the side Barb was arguing with Nancy in hushed tones
"Nance, you told me this was going to be a close circle, and Carol just brought a cheerleader," Barb said worried and a little frustrated
"Barb is alright, she seems like a nice girl," Nancy said and Barb sighed in defeat but nodded nonetheless and they both walked back to the group as Carol joined them with a smirk on her face
"You guys have to see this," Carol said as Tommy snorted and wrapped his arm around her neck
"See what?" Nancy asked in curiosity as Tommy smirked at her
"Ford's natural charisma, the guy doesn't even know he has it, and Carol likes to see it in action," Tommy said as Barb snorted
"Natural charisma?" Barb asked sarcastically and Carol and Tommy looked at her with smirks on their faces
"Oh you'll see," Carol said smirking as Nancy frowned and paid close attention and on the other side Ford had stood up and put his hand forward
"Hi, I remember you, you're the cute energetic cheerleader who came with us to the competition," Ford said with a small smirk on his face shaking her hand
"Uh, well I don't know about all that," Chrissy said shyly kind of downgrading her work that day and Ford raised an eyebrow
"You're kidding right, think the only reason I won was because I heard your cheers," Ford said cheekily and Chrissy blushed a little "Can I get you anything, water, beer?" Ford asked and Chrissy shook her head no
"No, I'm good," Chrissy said simply and Ford nodded his head "I'm very nervous if I'm being honest," Chrissy said chuckling nervously and Ford's smirk grew wider
"Yeah, I can see that, let me guess Carol approached you out of the blue?" Ford said and Carol nodded her head a little and Ford looked under his peripheral a smirking Carol "I'm sorry, I know she can be a little too much," Ford said as Chrissy chuckled a little
"Yeah, but I wanted to get to know you, so I said yes," Chrissy said and Ford's eyes winded
"Oh," Ford said surprised, and then smirked a little again "Wanna take a seat?" Ford said sitting back on the pool chair and patting the open space
"Sure," Chrissy said as Ford moved his legs upward to make space for Chrissy
"So what do you want to know? Because trust me, I'm a pretty boring guy," Ford said and Chrissy frowned a little
"I'm not sure if I believe that," Chrissy said and Ford chuckled
"Well, maybe, but I got a feeling you're more interesting, pretty people always are," Ford said smirking and Chrissy blushed and looked down
"See," Carol said cheekily as Barba scoffed in exasperation and sat back on her chair but Nancy kept glancing at Ford and Chrissy, Why? She had no clue, but something sparked her curiosity
Anyway she took a seat back on her chair as she looked at Tommy and Carol laughing because Tommy was playing about throwing her into the pool while she kept glancing behind her where Ford's and Chrissy's chuckles were coming from
Then Steve came back with a bunch of beers in his hand, a knife, and a cigarette in his right ear, he put the beers down and then made a hole in one can and started chugging it on his own as everyone stared at him
"Is that supposed to impress me?" Nancy asked cheekily and Ford snorted
"I hope not," Ford said as Chrissy chuckled, as both blonds were now closer to each other with the girl leaning on his chest
"Bite me, Ford," Steve said and Ford chuckled wrapping his arm around Chrissy's waist
"Ford's right, you're a cliché, you do realize that?" Nancy said and Steve scoffed and lit up his cigarette
"You're a cliché, what with your… your grades and your band practice," Steve said and Nancy laughed
"I'm so not in band," Nancy said and then Steve moved to his right
"Okay, party girl," Steve said grabbing a can of beer and putting it in front of Nancy "Why don't you just, uh, show us how it's done then?" Steve said cheekily and Nancy grabbed the can and knife with a smile on her face
"Okay," Nancy said standing up
"You gotta make a little hole right in," Steve started saying but Nancy interrupted him saying she got it
"Yeah, she's smart you douche," Tommy said crushing a beer can on his head and throwing it away
"That was so not badass Tommy," Ford said cheekily as Tommy flipped him off and Chrissy chuckled at their exchange
Then Nancy made a hole in the can and opened it as she started drinking to the chug chants of the rest of the teens except Barb who was just done with everything
She finished it and made a bow while throwing it away as the teens cheered her own, then she turned around and saw Barb being bored and downcast
"Barb, you wanna try?" Nancy said and Barb's eyes winded in surprise
"What? No," Barb said shaking her head no "No, I don't want to. Thanks," Barb said refusing the dare but Nancy grabbed the can of beer anyway
"Come on," Nancy said as Steve nodded his head and agreed with Nance "It's fun! Just give it a…," Nancy said and Ford saw that Babr was getting pressured too much
"Hey, if you don't want to do it is fine," Ford said stopping Nancy as everyone looked at him "But is harmless, and you're in a safe space," Ford said reassuringly as Nancy smiled at him and looked back at Barb
"Yeah Ford's right, just give it a shot," Nancy said and Barb sighed but grabbed the can and the knife nonetheless and stood up
"Okay," Barb said putting the knife on top of the can
"A little hole on the end of the can should do it," Ford advised her Barb nodded and focused on what she was doing, but her hand slipped for a split second enough to draw a cut on her thumb
Barb threw the can away as she held her hand close which started bleeding "Gnarly," Tommy said and Ford glared at him
"Tommy shut up," Ford said and then looked at Barb in concern "Are/you ok?" Nancy and Ford asked at the same time as some blood drops landed on the floor
"Yeah," Barb said shaking her hand and trying to get rid of the pain
"Barb, you're bleeding," Nancy said concerned and Barb put her hand forward to stop her comments
"I'm fine," Barb said and then looked at Steve who was just shocked about everything that had happened "Where's your bathroom?" Barb asked as Stev got out of his shock
"Oh it's," Steve said standing up "It's uh, down past the kitchen, to the left," Steve said pointing to the hose as Barb nodded and went to the house
Ford and Chrissy had stood up too, looking at Barb in concern but then Ford looked back into the forest hearing some rustling from there, but then his attention was broken when Tommy pushed Carol into the pool
Tommy smirked at Carol and threw himself at the pool as Nancy and Chrissy walked to the edge of the pool looking at the others laughing
Ford and Seve crossed eyes with each other and nodded and smirked as they pushed Chrissy and Nancy into the pool respectively the ladies let a shriek of surprise while falling into the pool
Then the boys cannonballed into the pool with screams of excitement splashing the others in the process
Ford swam towards Chrissy as he received a splash of water to his face from a laughing blond girl "Oh you're on," Ford said splashing Chrissy on the face with water as a little war of splashing began between the two of them
Then Ford pretended to be hit hard and went underwater for a while out of sight of Chrissy, then the blond girl shrieked as Ford grabbed her by the waist and submerged her with him
Both teens went up and gasped for air while chuckling as Ford still had Chrissy by the waist, she felt pretty bold and confident for a second and wrapped her arms around his neck and started leaning forward
Ford shrugged his shoulders mentally and figured he should have fun as well, so he met her halfway and wrapped his lips with hers as a make-out session started between them
Time passed and the teens now drenched in water were now drying themselves in the living room of Steve's house, Ford and Chrissy were in their own little world as Ford kept playing by throwing the towel on Chrissy's head
"Is freezing," Carol said and Tommy smirked at her
"Well, I heard Steve's mom's room has a nice fireplace," Tommy said as both teens ran toward the room leaving a disgusted Steve behind
"You're cleaning the sheets!" Steve said with a sigh as Ford cleared his throat and Steve looked at him and Chrissy "Right, ehm, you can use the guest room as always Ford, there should be some spare clothes there," Steve said and Ford smirked at him
"You kids, make sure you use protection," Ford said as he and Chrissy chuckled at the shocked teens, and Ford led Chrissy upstairs by holding her hand as she kept close to him
Both of them entered the room chuckling as Chrissy quickly took a seat on the bed while Ford closed the door, then he turned around and looked at Chrissy "Did you have fun today?" Ford asked in curiosity and Chrissy nodded her head with a smile on her face
"Yeah, I did, I'm glad I came," Chrissy said and Ford smiled at her "I have no shot right?" Chrissy asked and Ford sighed and walked to the bed and took a seat next to her
"No, I'm sorry," Ford said looking at her with slight pity in his eyes "I'll be honest, I didn't have the best childhood before coming here, and I'm still trying to recover," Ford said and Chrissy put a hand on his cheek
"I'm sorry to hear that," Chrissy said and Ford sighed and looked at her straight in the eye
"Did you plan to stay the night?" Ford asked in curiosity and Chrissy nodded and grew curious
"Yeah, Carol offered me a ride home tomorrow morning," Chrissy said and Ford nodded then his eyes glowed green for a moment
"~You had a long day Chrissy, I think you should get change and get some rest, and call it a night~," Ford said as Chrissy's eyes went blank for a moment before they returned to their usual blue color
She stretched her arms upwards and yawned a little and then she stood up and looked at Ford "Is late, we should get some rest, you can use the left side of the bed if you want," She said sweetly and went straight to the bathroom
"You're lovely Chrissy, you deserve someone less fucked up than me," Ford whispered to himself while looking at the bathroom door
He walked to the drawers took some pants from Steve and started changing into them while putting his clothes to dry next to the window sill, he dropped on the bed, while staring out the window, feeling something was there, but not being quite sure of what it was
Then he heard the bathroom door opening and closing an then felt a weight on the right side of the bed being placed down as he figured Chrissy had climbed up the bed
"Good night Ford," Chrissy said and Ford nodded but without turning to look at her, she turn off her lamplight
Ford sighed and looked at his new tattoo in deep thought as he dropped down in the bed, he was so lost in thought with what was happening with him and everything that he missed how the lamp on his side malfunction for a bit
He started falling asleep but a sense of wrongness never left him trough all the night, and maybe if he wasn't so lost in his own thoughts, he would've seen the danger that was happening outside on the pool
