Chapter 18: Loosen up
Walking out of Junior's Office, Jaune has the presence of mind to keep walking with Blake away from the entrance before letting his knees buckle.
Holy shit. I just made a deal with a criminal. Granted it was just an information exchange but it was still talking with a crime boss. Looks like dad's advice actually worked this time. Confidence is all you need.
Shaking the nerves off of his body, Jaune puts his hand on the wall to support himself. Jaune then looks at Blake and sees her worried expression. Currently, Jaune is just thankful that they have answers and Junior didn't blurt out his secret of forging transcripts.
"It's done, right? We got info on the White Fang, we even know where they will be tomorrow. Just need to report it to the police and we can go back to Beacon." Jaune says as he tries to lighten the mood.
But his attempt is foiled by Blake's frown.
"No. I need to see this through myself, Jaune." Blake replies with an angry flick of her cat ears.
"What?! Why?! We don't need to be involved in this!"
" Maybe you don't, but I'm already involved!" Blake shouts.
Jaune keeps his silence for a bit before replying.
"But you already left the White Fang, right?" Jaune says slowly.
"...I did…But it's not that simple, Jaune."
"Then explain it to me. Why does it have to be you? Why can't we hand this to the police?"
"You know my parents were the founders. You know I was born into this. It's not so easy to just stand back and let their legacy be tarnished with violence." Blake replies, looking away from Jaune.
Legacy. That word strikes something within Jaune. He could understand it. After all, didn't he run away from his family to uphold the Arc Clan's legacy of being heroes?
He'd probably feel responsible in fixing it if someone tarnished or dishonored his family's legacy. The same way Blake is feeling right now.
"I understand how you feel, but this is bigger than us." Jaune says slowly.
"Do you? Do you really understand, Jaune? Because if you do then you know I have to do this myself."
"I do."
Blake scoffs at his reply.
"I doubt it. This isn't just about my family legacy, Jaune. We fought for something important. Equality. Have you ever wanted something so bad that you would do anything to get it? You probably never had to fight for something like tha-"
"I forged my transcripts to Beacon." Jaune interrupts Blake with his own confession.
"...What?"
"Yeah, it's how I met Junior and the twins actually. Listen Blake, I may not fully understand how a Faunus feels, but wanting something so bad that you're willing to do something extreme? I know that feeling. I ran away from my family to be here. I wasn't even trained, heck I only got my Aura unlocked by Pyrrha back at Initiation." Jaune confesses and sees Blake's growing wide eyes in shock.
"...You…were untrained and…didn't have Aura unlocked when you went to Initiation?!" Blake replies in shock.
"Yup. Pretty stupid right?" Jaune replies with a wry smile.
"Stupid?! You call that stupid, when you could have died?! It's more than stupid! It's reckless and suicidal!" Blake shouts in frustration.
"Just as reckless and suicidal as taking on the White Fang by yourself?" Jaune replies with a smirk.
"I..that!...This is different!" Blake stammers out with a blush, losing her steam.
"How is it different, Blake?"
"For one I actually know how to fight." Blake raises her eyebrow at Jaune, who winces at the rebuttal.
"Alright, fair. But this is still dangerous, Blake. Ask yourself, do you really need to risk yourself for this when we can let the authorities handle it?"
"..I have to, Jaune. There's something weird about what the White Fang is doing right now in Vale."
"You mean the Dust robberies? Granted, it's strange that they're not smuggling the Dust out of Vale."
"More than that. It's the fact that they're working with humans." Blake shakes her head at the question.
"Maybe they just found some humans sympathetic to their cause?" Jaune asks hopefully.
"No, even if they found humans sympathetic to the cause, Adam would never work with them." Blake answers thinking about the red-haired Bull Faunus.
"..Adam..That's your ex, isn't it?" Jaune points out, thinking back to what Blake told Junior earlier.
"..Yes..But he's more than that. To the White Fang, Adam is a symbol, a hero who fights against their oppressors. And he hates humanity the most. He would never work with a human." Blake answers with a wince.
"So that's why. You don't think he could have had a sudden change of heart after you broke up with him?" Jaune says jokingly, already knowing what the truth really is.
"No, Jaune, I don't think he would have changed. It's why I left in the first place. I couldn't stomach being part of what he wanted to do." Blake lets out a small smile before answering sadly.
"Alright, if that's your reason then fine. We just have to go with you to keep you safe." Jaune sighs out giving Blake a small smile.
"You don't have to, Jaune. This is dangerous. This is my fight." Blake responds softly.
"Well, I want to. I promised Ruby I'd bring you back safe and sound anyway. And an Arc never breaks their word." Jaune answers confidently, giving Blake a reassuring grin.
"...Okay..Thank you, Jaune. When did you get so reliable?" Blake replies with a small smile, looking at him curiously.
"Probably when Pyrrha started training me."
"Hmm, maybe. Speaking of Pyrrha, we need to find her and Sun and tell them the news. Who knows what they are doing right now" Blake hums curiously while looking at him.
Damn, I was avoiding thinking about that.
"...Yeah, come on, let's go." Jaune replies slowly with a strained smile.
Clenching his fist, he leads Blake back to the main hall. Finally entering the way they came from, Jaune and Blake hear the loud music and see the strobing lights centered on the dance floor.
The scene they come upon shocks Jaune.
Pyrrha Nikos was having a troubling time.
Here she is, surrounded by strangers with her Pyrene disguise on her. Never has she been thankful for the disguise as much as she has now. If someone saw Pyrrha Nikos dancing and drinking in a nightclub, pandemonium and scandals would haunt her for the rest of her career.
As it is, no one sees Pyrrha Nikos, only her alter ego Pyrene. Still, the fact that she is around Sun, who she only met yesterday, and the twins that apparently Jaune met to forge his transcripts does not make her completely comfortable.
To attract more people to the club, Sun suggested throwing a wild party to show people it's safe and fun to be here.
"Easier said than done blondie. We've been trying to do that all this time. Any other plans to help us?" Melanie replies to Sun's idea with a raised eyebrow.
That reply causes Sun to slump and look at Pyrrha for help.
Drawing from her own limited experience, she has never really been to parties before and so don't know how they work. But what she has been involved in are competitions, and people always loved to come and watch her during her fights.
"Why not make a competition?" Pyrrha suggests which causes Sun to beam a smile at her.
"What kind of competition?" Militia asks with a tilt of her head.
"A DANCE OFF!" Sun shouts with wide eyes.
"Uhhh. Hate to burst your bubble, but people are already dancing." Melanie answers pointing towards the small group of people dancing to the beat on stage.
"No, no, no. Back in Haven, the boys used to dance off against each other for fun and entertainment! We could do groups or individuals but we pit them against each other. People would come to watch!" Sun responds, moving to clarify his idea.
It's similar to what we do in fighting tournaments. It could definitely work.
"You'd need people to know about it though. We might want to livestream it so people can see it from their scrolls first before deciding to come here." Pyrrha adds with a smile of her own.
"That's amazing! We could then do drinking competitions after that's open to the crowd! People would come! Sales would rise! I can already smell the profit!" Militia suggests an idea of her own, getting swept up by the energy.
"Great! We have a plan, now how do we do it?" Melanie asks.
"I'll set up cameras from the balcony to get a top-view of the floor, and one near the DJ booth to have a close-up view of the dance floor." Militia responds.
"I could dance! We can start tonight and you girls can watch if it works for tomorrow! Want to help me dance Pyr?" Sun answers and turns to Pyrrha with a smile.
"Ah..Sorry, but I'm not much of a dancer." Panicking at the sudden invitation, she denies involving herself.
Pyrrha would rather stay in the background than risk getting recognized online even if she has a disguise.
Sun frowns briefly at that before smiling again.
"Oh, ugh. It's okay. I can teach you." Sun replies, trying to salvage his failed attempt at dancing with Pyrrha.
"Nah, you don't need to do that blondie, we know someone who could dance with or against you. In the meantime, you can dance with me." Melanie pats Sun to assure him, which causes Pyrrha to smile gratefully at her.
Don't get Pyrrha wrong, Sun is a cool guy and she thinks he'd be a cool friend. But she just doesn't feel comfortable dancing with another guy when she already has someone in mind to dance with.
"Who do you have in mind?" Pyrrha asks Melanie with a smile.
"Jaune Arc." She replies with a smirk as she drags Sun to the dance floor.
Pyrrha's eyes widen at that as she feels Militia lead her to one of the lounges.
"Come on, let's take a seat while we wait for the others."
"Excuse me, how did you meet Jaune?" Shaking her surprise off, Pyrrha asks a question that she's been curious about ever since they encountered the twins.
Signaling one of the waiters for some drinks, Militia looks at Pyrrha and gives her a curious look.
"What do you know about Jaune?" Militia asks.
"I know he faked his transcripts for Beacon and he probably got it from here." Pyrrha answers resolutely.
Militia laughs at that.
"What would you do if we didn't actually know that or he didn't get it from here?" Militia replies with a small laugh while receiving the drinks.
"I'm sorry!" Pyrrha squeaks out, embarrassed about her possible blunder.
"It's fine, it's fine. You're lucky we know about it and Jaune made a good impression the last time he was here." Militia waves the apology off with a smirk.
"What exactly happened?" Pyrrha asks, curious about Jaune.
"Well every once and a while, Melanie and I would pull a prank on someone." Militia starts telling the story before giving Pyrrha a drink of her own.
"We have extra clothes that are exactly the same so no one could tell us apart. I'm sure you could already see where this is going." Militia tells with a smirk, while Pyrrha nods with a small smile and takes a sip of her own drink.
"So Jauney comes into the club looking all lost and innocent. We found the perfect target. I led him into a room after he asked for fake transcripts while Melanie changed into my clothes." Militia continues before drinking, not noticing Pyrrha's suddenly sharp gaze.
"I told him that I'll talk to Junior first and to wait for me in the room. Heh. You should have seen him, we always put cameras in our waiting rooms to watch people, and he was soooo nervous. Could you imagine what he looked like?" Militia proceeds with a small smile.
Imagining her leader in that position, Pyrrha thinks that he was probably wringing his hands or rubbing the back of his head in that boyish way that he has.
Yes. I could imagine. Pyrrha smiles to herself as she imagines her cute leader.
It looks like she wasn't the only one who thought that because Militia is already giggling.
"He was sooooo cute." Militia giggles as she thinks of what she saw.
Pyrrha's gaze turns into a glare as she clenches her glass and takes a gulp. Feeling the warm liquid pooling in her stomach and irritation from the girl's comment about Jaune, Pyrrha asks the rest of the story.
"So what did you do?" She lets out gratingly, luckily Militia is so invested in her story that she doesn't notice it.
"I went back inside and asked for his wallet and told him we need it if he wants us to make fake transcripts. He didn't just give it to me of course. He looks innocent but he wasn't that innocent at least." MIlitia answers, taking sips of her now almost empty glass.
Pyrrha smiles at that before it is cruelly extinguished by what Militia said next.
"So I had to soften him up. I had him drink some beers and compliment how he'll be a big, strong, huntsman, you know? He eventually gave me the wallet." Militia coos as she continues.
"What happened next?" Pyrrha says while grinding her teeth, with her glass already cracking from her grip, she gets another glass of her own..
"I went out the door and Melanie went in. With Jaune already a bit drunk, she actually got him to strip his top. Look, she's doing it to Sun right now." Militia finishes with a smirk while pointing at Sun.
Pyrrha doesn't even turn, her mind already occupied by the fact that these hussies got to see Jaune topless first. She usually has a better grip on her emotions but the drinks that she's been taking in has probably made her looser in a sense.
"Is that how Jaune gave a good impression?" Pyrrha asks darkly, outright glaring at the other girl who's distracted by what her sister is doing to Sun.
"Huh, oh nah, that came after. He won all his money back by pole dancing. He must've been drunk cause he was a lot more confident than he was when he entered the club back then." Militia finishes her story absently, not noticing the Spartan's expression.
Jaune…..pole dancing…for me…ha…ha..ha. Pyrrha retreats back into her mind. Panting at the thought of Jaune pole dancing for her.
"WOOOHOOO! That was a doozy! I didn't know you could twirl that fast." Sun screams dizzily walking back to their lounge. The monkey Faunus' voice was just enough to break Pyrrha out of her own delusion.
Turning towards Sun, Pyrrha sees him only wearing his pants. She isn't flustered because she's seen topless men before in photoshoots or even in the training grounds.
"Hey sis! I see you've nabbed another shirt." Militia greets Melanie as she approaches the lounge while wrapping Sun's shirt to her waist.
"Ha! You should have seen this guy here! He could use his tail to spin you around!"
"That's not all it could do! Once back in Haven, my team…-" Pyrrha hears Sun start, not really paying attention but still laughing at the appropriate times. You ask why she's not paying attention? She's busy thinking about topless Jaune dancing for her of course.
And so time passes as they wait for Jaune and Blake to finish meeting with Junior. The twins and Sun tell stories while Pyrrha nods and laughs absently while thinking about her own partner.
This continues until one of the twins points towards the bar counter.
"Hey. There he iss!" Militia points out with a light slur.
Looking at the direction the girl is pointing at. Pyrrha sees Jaune leaning towards Blake.
Blake Belladonna is currently confused.
The answers she got from Jaune's information broker were not within her expectations.
The White Fang working together with humans? Mayhaps she would have been happy with it if it was still her parents leading the White Fang. But the current leadership, voluntarily working with them? That's just strange.
Blake knows her parents would have been happy because it would be a sign that equality and harmony is possible. But Sienna Khan, the current Supreme Leader, is too distrustful of humans. Adam, her own ex-lover, hates humanity so much that he would rather kill them than work with them.
To hear that the current White Fang is happily working with humans? Blake calls bullshit on that piece of news. Something smells fishy, and it's not the good kind of fishy.
Which makes her confused on how and why the White Fang are working with humans.
Speaking of confusion, she was originally puzzled how Jaune Arc could possibly have contacts with the underworld such as an information broker and criminal boss like Junior. It all made sense with what he confessed to her.
Jaune Arc forged his transcripts to get into Beacon. Blake doesn't know why that still surprised her, considering at the beginning of the semester all of their friends pegged him as unskilled.
No one who actually graduated from a Combat School would be that unskilled, and so that left the only possibility, Jaune Arc was untrained.
Which makes it more impactful to Blake that he is willing to help her investigate the White Fang. Regardless if he is getting better at fighting or not, he knows joining her is dangerous yet he is still willing to help out a friend. It seems like he's just a good guy like that. That earned him a lot of points in Blake's book.
With all the help Jaune is willing to give her, it isn't so strange that Blake would want to help him out with some troubles of his own. The first step to doing that is probably to help Jaune move on from what he is seeing right now.
Sun, with only his pants on, is sharing a story excitedly to Pyrrha and one of the twins in one of the lounges. Blake could see Pyrrha laughing along while receiving drinks from the other twin.
Looking at Jaune, Blake could notice the beginnings of anger and jealousy. He's already clenching his fist and glaring at the lounge. Not wanting to cause a scene, Blake grabs hold of Jaune's arm before he could do something stupid.
"Come on, let's get some drinks first before we tell them about the information." Blake says as she leads Jaune to the bar counter.
Blake sees Jaune take a deep breath and nod at her as they reach the bar counter. Getting some light beers of their own, Blake takes a sniff and grimaces from the smell. Normally, she would rather have some wine while reading her books, but this is not a normal situation.
Taking a sip as she observes Jaune, she sees him still looking back at Pyrrha. Truthfully, Blake has been noticing Jaune's reaction to Sun's interactions with Pyrrha the whole day. While Pyrrha herself doesn't seem to get Sun's attraction with her, Blake could see Jaune's growing jealousy and annoyance.
Huh. Does he like Pyrrha? If so, then why is he going for Weiss?…Or Maybe he's just being protective of his partner?
Wondering at her own thoughts and Jaune's possible feelings towards his own partner, Blake tries to get some answers to it.
"Did you know that the whole time I was with Sun, he couldn't stop talking about Pyrrha? It was always Pyr this, Pyr that." Blake says.
"...No, I didn't know that." Jaune says slowly, taking a sip of his own drink as he turns to look at Blake.
"Hmmm…What are you gonna do about it?" Blake asks, deciding to get to the truth of the matter by looking at Jaune's reactions.
"Do I have to do anything about it?" Jaune replies, giving Blake a strained smile.
Rolling her eyes at the boy's stubbornness, Blake decides to be blunt about it.
"Jaune, it's obvious you're mad about it. So again, what are you going to do?"
"I….I don't know Blake. Do I even have the right? I know she likes me, but even I can see that Sun's a way cooler guy."
Blake's eyes open wide at Jaune's reply.
He knows Pyrrha likes him? Blake thinks to herself in surprise.
"What do you mean you know?"
"Well…Let's just say that I had to see the signs eventually." Jaune chuckles resignedly.
"Then what does Sun have to do with it?" Blake asks as she tilts her head quizzically.
"I mean look at him…He's ripped, he probably knows how to fight, he's actually a huntsman-in-training…While I'm just me. I'm a fake Blake. She deserves better than a fake." Jaune waves to Sun's direction then waves toward himself with a brittle smile.
"That didn't stop you from trying with Weiss. What? Is she just a second choice to you?" Blake remarks with a narrow look, taking another sip.
Jaune cringes at that pointed out to him.
"Ahh…That…She's not a second choice or anything…But…I think I made a mistake with her." Jaune replies as he takes a long sip.
Holy shit, just dropping bombs tonight are we?
"Explain." Blake gives him a straight face.
"It's just that…The reason I went for Weiss was I thought she called me cute." Jaune answers in embarrassment.
"Huh?" Predictably, Blake is confused at his answer.
"The first time I met her was the night before Initiation. She and Ruby were talking about cute boys and Weiss waved at me….So yeah, I thought she liked me and was just playing hard to get." Jaune groans in embarrassment as he finishes his drink and orders another.
Blake remembers that night, while she wasn't part of the encounter, she knows that Weiss approached Yang and Ruby to berate the younger one.
"Huh, that actually explains a lot why you kept going for Weiss. You really thought she was playing hard to get?" Blake teases out of Jaune.
"..Please, don't remind me. Looking back at it now, I probably bombed any chance I had."
"So what are you going to do with her?"
"...I don't know Blake. It's more of…I should have gotten to know her first before trying to build a relationship with her. I didn't even know that she had issues with the Faunus! What else do I not know about her? Probably a lot of things."
"So you're really giving up on Weiss?"
Blake sees Jaune pause at that question. Taking a while before downing his remaining drink in one go.
"Yeah. I guess I am." Jaune announces resolutely as he slams the bottle back on the counter.
Blake's eyes widen at Jaune's declaration. She knows she's exaggerating but hearing Jaune declare he'd no longer go for Weiss feels like a fundamental law of the world was just broken.
Shaking her head to remove the surprise, Blake realizes that while Jaune is giving up on Weiss, she hasn't really helped him out just yet.
"What about Pyrrha?" Blake asks, pointing back to the current situation at hand.
"Haven't you been listening?" Jaune asks back, brow furrowed at Blake while getting another drink.
"You told me you chased Weiss because you thought she liked you. Well, you know Pyrrha likes you. What's the deal?" Blake raises an eyebrow at him.
"Because I'm not worthy." Jaune grits his teeth at her.
"That didn't stop you with Weiss, why should it stop you now?" Blake answers calmly.
"Because I'-"
"Face it Jaune, you could spout any excuse you want, but the only thing holding you back right now is you."
Jaune can only fall silent at Blake's interruption. Both of them take a sip of their drink during the pause between them.
"Jaune…Do you like her?" Blake sighs as she asks one of the most important questions in this conversation.
"...I owe her my life, you know? She unlocked my Aura. She's taking the time to train me. She's so kind, beautiful, strong, and she apparently likes me? How could I not like her, Blake?" Jaune answers slowly, looking back at her wryly.
Blake stays silent at that, opting to finish her own drink before getting a new one.
"What do you want me to do, Blake?"
Taking the time to think of her answer and waiting for Jaune to take a drink of his own.
"I want you to leave your excuses behind and fuck her." Blake says bluntly with a straight face.
Jaune spits out his drink from Blake's bluntness.
"WHAT THE HELL, BLAKE?!" Jaune shouts with a blush as he wipes the drink off the counter with some tissues.
Smirking at the blonde's reaction, Blake continues.
"You don't want to?" She asks coyly.
"I…that's…. Sigh….Why are you doing this, Blake?" Jaune starts with a light blush before sighing at her.
I want to help you, you're already helping me so much.
Taking a moment to savor her drink and think about how she wants to help Jaune, Blake opts to tell the truth.
"Jaune, I appreciate what you've been doing to help me with the White Fang. So I want to help you in return.
"So you give me love advice and tell me to have sex with Pyrrha?" Jaune asks with a light blush and a raised eyebrow.
"Yes. Is it helping?" Blake asks with a small smile.
"...Yes…" Jaune answers quietly after taking a long drink with a blush.
Blake giggles at that. Giggles! She doesn't know what's making her feel this way, maybe it's the alcohol, or maybe it's the company, but she's starting to have fun teasing Jaune.
"So what are you gonna do, lover boy? Want me to help you?" Blake says with a small smile.
"Help me? How?" Jaune gulps as he asks back.
"I could distract Sun, I'm sure he'll still settle for me distracting him. After all, Pyrrha and I are both catgirls right now." Blake replies with a sad smile, thinking that she'd have to be something like a second option for tonight.
Still, if it's to help Jaune it'd be worth it. It's not like she'll have to sleep with Sun, she'll just talk to him for a few minutes and get him drunk.
She doesn't expect Jaune's reaction to that plan of hers though.
"Blake….You don't need to do that. You deserve better than that, you're not a second option or a distraction. No one's settling for you, they should be reaching for you." Jaune replies smoothly, taking hold of her hand.
Blake gasps at the sudden contact, eyes wide in surprise at the blonde's action, she looks at him and sees his eyes starting to glaze over while looking straight at her.
Is he drunk?! Oh my Gods! What is happening?! Quick! Defuse the situation! Change the subject!
She must've been drinking more than she thought because she does not defuse the situation or change the subject.
Before she could even think how exactly she's going to get out of this, words come out of her mouth.
"You mean that? Even if I'm a terrorist?" She whines at him.
No! No! No! That is not defusing the situation.
"Ex-terrorist. Yeah, you're just as amazing as them. Smart, beautiful, and strong. Anyone would be lucky to be with you." Jaune replies huskily as he puts a hand on her cheek.
Blake's heart skips a beat as heat rushes to her cheeks. Shaking her head to remove Jaune's hand as well as to remind herself that Jaune's just drunk and she needs to get back on track.
"Stop it. You're supposed to go for Pyrrha now, remember?" Blake says slowly, as she looks away from him to shake off the embarrassment.
"But I don't know how." He looks at her sadly.
Something catches in her throat as she sees Jaune's expression. She sees longing, despair, confusion, and a cry for help. Before she knows it, a question slips out from her lips.
"Would you like me to teach you?"
The way Jaune's eyes light up from that does some very nice things to her body. She couldn't help but match the radiating smile coming off from the boy.
"First, eye contact." Blake continues slowly, as the two of them keep their eyes on each other and a haziness enters her mind.
"Now what?" Jaune says through half-lidded eyes as he leans towards her.
Oh Gods. Is this really happening? Am I really doing this? What about Pyrrha? PYRRHA!
Before getting lost in those electric blue eyes, Blake's thoughts snap her out of the haziness she was just under. Flicking her eyes to Pyrrha's direction behind Jaune, she sees Pyrrha walking towards them.
"Now…Be yourself." Blake says with a strained smile as she gives him a light push.
….Muscles…He has muscles under that shirt.
The thought enters her mind right as they hear a familiar voice.
"JAUNEEEE! You should have told us you were done with Junior! Come on! We need your dance moves on the floor!" One of the twins jumps towards them as she proceeds to grab Jaune and drag him to the dance floor.
"Wha? Wait, Bla-" Is all Blake hears from Jaune he leaves her with Pyrrha who followed the twin towards them.
"Pyr-"
"I know that look Blake." Pyrrha blurts out.
"What look?" Blake denies rapidly.
"That look saying he understands me, he sees me more than other people do. That look that says I want more of that." Pyrrha says with a straight face.
"We're just friends!" Blake shouts in her defense, putting her hands up and closing her eyes fearing Pyrrha's wrath.
"I'm not mad, Blake." She hears Pyrrha say.
Slowly opening her eyes, Blake sees Pyrrha giving her a wry smile.
"You're not?"
"No, You'd think that I should be, but I don't have the right. I'm not his girlfriend…..yet." Pyrrha clarifies, saying the last part quietly but Blake's Faunus ears still pick up on it.
"Oh. Uhm. That's good." Blake says with a sigh of relief.
"All I ask is that you don't play with him or hurt him." Pyrrha interrupts with a fake smile promising violence if she does.
"I don't even like him like that!" Blake shouts defensively.
Pyrrha narrows her eyes at Blake.
"Hmmm, whatever you say Blake."
"Really! I don't!"
"Just remember, while I don't have the right to be mad at you, I won't give him up without a fight." Pyrrha says this as she steps up to Blake's personal place.
Oh, come on! I just wanted to help Jaune sleep with you!
"Really! I don't want to steal him! In fact, I want to help you."
Pyrrha's eyes widen at that statement, but before she can open her mouth, they are distracted by a loud shout from the dance floor.
"WOAH! Check out those blondes!"
Whipping towards the stranger's voice, both girls see a sight that leaves them slack-jawed.
Sunday Noon
Owww. What the hell hit me?
Sun Wukong is currently having a headache. Not just a normal headache, but a big-ass hammer to the head pounding headache.
His body is a bit numb and warm at the same time, his throat is dry, and his left arm currently feels like it's being stabbed by a million needles.
Grimacing from the pain currently racking his body, he opens his eyes slowly and sees an unfamiliar ceiling.
What the hell happened?
Groaning from the pain, he tries to sit up, only for a weight wrapped in blankets lying on his left arm stops him. With eyes opened wide in surprise, he tries to move the object only to hear a moan.
Freezing at the unexpected sound, Sun thinks of every possible scenario to explain the situation. He reaches the only explanation possible.
Holy shit. Did I just lose my virginity?
Grabbing the blanket with a loud gulp, Sun prepares to reveal the person currently lying over him. Secretly, there's only one person he hopes to be under the covers, Pyr.
What he sees shocks him.
What the fu-
Before he could even finish his thought, he hears a door open. Head whipping towards the sound he sees a familiar figure walking out of a bathroom.
"What's up, stud? Ready for the next round?" A familiar voice greets him with a smirk.
"Mhmmm, five more minutes…" A voice drones sleepily on top of Sun.
Thinking back to what could have led to this situation, Sun receives a blurry recollection of an equally wonderful and terrifying series of events.
He remembers getting dragged to the dance floor with Jaune.
He remembers locking eyes with the dude and having a conversation. There were some glares thrown and answers said harshly between the two of them, but for the life of him Sun just can't remember what for.
He remembers having a dance off against Jaune. Sun is well-known back in Haven as one of the best dancers of their year. With his natural agility, balance, and monkey tail, he could do a lot of moves other people couldn't.
Apparently, so could Jaune. He didn't know the guy could breakdance like that! The twists, flips, and rolls he did were things Sun only thought he'd see in movies! Jaune didn't just match him, he crushed Sun beneath his boots by the end of their battle.
It didn't end there though, some words were said between them, smiles were exchanged, and hands clasped against each other. A bond between bros was built last night. This, Sun knows for sure, even if he doesn't exactly remember how.
That night would've ended perfectly then and there but it wasn't over yet. Apparently, the twins were live streaming their dance off. A couple of people saw and boom, their plan was a success, some people went to watch. They were lucky that one of the people that came was an orange-haired girl dragging a raven-haired guy with pink locks across the dance floor.
Sun doesn't know how it started, but eventually, the ginger and the other guy were dancing with Jaune and him! It all ended in a sequence where Jaune, Pyr, the ginger, and the other dude danced together so perfectly and on time with each other.
Sun would've felt left out if it wasn't for what Jaune did.
Slowly, he remembers why he now calls Jaune his bro.
"Dude, did you just pimp me out?" Sun asked.
Pushing Sun towards the twins, Jaune then asked him.
"Are you complaining?"
Looking at his left and right, Sun sees two women fawning over him.
"No. No, I'm not." Sun beamed at Jaune.
To Sun, that feels like a nice end to the night, but something even better happened that night. Looking back at where he is right now with a grin, he knows that the girl beside him might not be Pyr, but he isn't complaining.
Turning to Melanie who is currently walking towards the bed he is in, he answers her previous question.
"Yeah, just help me move your sister." Sun says quietly with a grin.
Thank you, Jaune Arc. Thank you my brother from another mother. Thank you my dude for life. Sun thinks to himself.
Unbeknownst to him, on another bed inside another room, three pairs of eyes lock with each other in shock and awe. One of them is blue, another pair is emerald, and another pair has a golden color to them.
