One day passed. It's 2:00 PM in Lost Angels right now and no regular civilians are outside. They were ordered by the G.U.N to stay home out of safety because of the dangerous thief running around freely. No one is allowed to leave the city for now. The civilians were not told anything about the earth magic, only that the thief is extremely dangerous. That alone is enough to keep them home, especially after that scary power outage.

In the G.U.N headquarters all the soldiers look half-dead. They look like they are experiencing a never ending nightmare. They all always thought that magic was a silly little thing in media for children. Then some hooded thief showed up, somehow defeated Omega and then summoned a giant rock wall. Magic exists and the soldiers can't tell anyone about it, not even their own family.

Worst of all, they have no idea how to catch that thief. They have no idea how to find the thief, especially considering he could be anywhere due to being able to quickly traverse underground thanks to his earth powers. Another disadvantage the G.U.N has is that Omega is still not fixed yet. He is still in the repair room and can't help the soldiers with his highly advanced AI right now. In the G.U.N headquarters the soldiers are questioning the Shining Tower guards, but they have no useful information to tell about. Not that the soldiers expected any.

A certain blue hedgehog slowly wakes up in a dark pit, as he feels someone's foot on his back, shaking it around until he himself wakes up.

"Nghh…where am I? Why am I so wet? Why is it so…stinky?! Even my home can't compare to that stench…" Sonic grumbles whilst standing up.

He opens his eyes and looks around. The place is dark but there are lights around to see enough. He is standing on some metallic ground which looks like some sort of metal bridge. Many meters below that bridge is stenchy water which is green due to all the dirt it transports. In front of Sonic are three rats who are much taller than Sonic.

"Goo monin! Yarr in 'e Loss Eynguls sewers!" one of the rats replies.

"Ugh, not that ridiculous accent again…" Sonic complains. Lowlifes spelling words weirdly due to their lack of education was funny at first with the pathetic robber yesterday, but it is already getting annoying to Sonic.

"EY!! Yo shood be kind to wee! Fe wata was carrng 'o across 'e sewer! Yo 'ld pfobaby 'aff bite the dust 'f wee didn't seyf yo wiff 'o gwapplin 'ooks!" another rat replies aggressively.

The rats wear safety goggles hiding their eyes, a dark green bandana around their neck, an open black vest with no shirt beneath, torn dark green sweatpants and dirty black cycling shoes. The fur of the three rats are white, gray and black respectively. However the most notable thing about them is that they carry around grappling hooks which have 4 claws and are tied to long dirty chains.

"So you saved my life, huh…well I guess I now have to repay a debt! What can I, Sonic The Hedgehog, the fastest thing alive, do for you?!" Sonic asks with a grin on his face, thinking that these suspicious looking rats saved him out of good will.

"Uhh…noffin? Wee arr goin monstah hunting and yo 'ave no wepun. Yo 'ld be a noosans."

"What? Monster Hunting?! You've gotta be joking, monsters don't exist!" Sonic says while trying not to laugh.

"Yeah, fey do exist! Fe monstah wee hunt is very sceree!! It's an yuglee beast wiff supah bwain that kills our fwends! Wee gotta avench 'em!" the black rat shouts while shaking his fist.

"Ok, so there is something or someone in the sewers that kills people…let me come with you! I have no weapon but I'm stronger than I look!" Sonic answers while pointing his thumb at himself. The rats look at each other, then the gray rat replies.

"Uhh, allwight. Dunt say wee din't warn ya."

The rats then walk off, followed by Sonic. He is so curious about what this sewer monster is. He is imagining all sorts of sewer monsters with high intelligence right now, like a huge disgusting alien with multiple eyes and arms or some slime monster that knows mobian language or whatever. What will the monster be? Sonic is very excited…

In the G.U.N headquarters the hulking robot lieutenant Omega is active again. He seems to be fully prepared, and he has guns on his back again. He walks out of the repair room into the main hall, saying

"I AM BACK." in a loud voice. The soldiers smile a bit, but then continue to do their work. But there is something strange about these soldiers. They all look dead inside. Seeing how all the soldiers look, Omega walks towards the purple weasel soldier to talk to her, as she is the only one he spotted who doesn't look that dead. In fact, she looks pretty chill, seemingly happy while she is reading through past cases from years ago.

"I SEE THAT SOMETHING OF SIGNIFICANCE MAY HAVE TRANSPIRED WHILE I WAS UNCONSCIOUS.

VIVID, REPORT ABOUT IT:" Omega demands bluntly.

"Oh? Yeah, y-yeah, sure thing!" Vivid answers, seemingly excited. "So, he threw you out of the window and jumped right after. Then he landed, we were spooked at first seeing you unconscious, but Grayman motivated us and then we pointed our guns at him. And…and th-th-then…h…he…s…sss…" she suddenly starts panically breathing, not being able to get a word out of her mouth. She also sweats a lot now.

"WHAT IS WRONG?!

SHOULD I SEND YOU TO THE INFIRMARY?!" Omega asks out of concern for her health. But then she suddenly screams, scaring everyone present here. Even Omega flinches a bit out of surprise. Turns out she was actually just acting like she was relaxed.

"H-he sent this… this STRANGE green energy into the ground…then a giant rock wall emerged from the ground!! A GIANT ROCK WALL!! Then he created a rock tunnel to quickly escape! Then later, we saw from far away a GIANT ROCK ARENA…AND A TORNADO in the undercity!! It was a confrontation between t-two magic users!! And then we drove there, there was a BIG hole, and no one was seen!! Two magic users were out there and we couldn't catch them!! I feel terrible, I…I…"

"WHERE IS YOUR PROOF?" Omega interrupts her.

"...what?"

"PROOF.

BECAUSE I DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU SAY.

A ROCK WALL?

A BIG HOLE?

A ROCK ARENA?

A TORNADO?

EVERYTHING YOU SAY SOUNDS FALSE TO ME.

LIKE A FAKE STORY TO EXCUSE HOW A WHOLE SQUAD OF ARMED SOLDIERS COULD NOT CAPTURE A SINGLE THIEF!!" Omega accuses her.

"What?! I am not lying! Look at me! Look at the others! We are all very traumatized, yet you think I'm lying?!" Vivid panics even more.

"DID YOU EVEN BOTHER TO LISTEN TO YOUR OWN STORY BEFORE YOU TELL IT TO ME?!

NO ONE IN MOBIUS WOULD LISTEN TO WHAT YOU SAY!

THE REASON YOU ALL ARE TRAUMATIZED IS BECAUSE YOU FOOLS REALIZED HOW INCOMPETENT YOU ARE TO FAIL ARRESTING A SINGLE MORTAL!

SO INSTEAD OF FACING THE CONSEQUENCES, YOU TRIED TO TRICK ME WITH A TERRIBLE FAKE STORY!

THE AUDACITY TO THINK THAT SUCH A BAD STORY WOULD DELUDE ME!" Omega rages.

Vivid looks in fear to the other soldiers, hoping that they help her. But they are afraid of Omega, and know that he wouldn't believe him. So they just look sad at her. Omega then raises his voice.

"VIVID THE WEASEL!

YOU FORGED A STORY TO AVOID PUNISHMENT

THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW AND SHALL BE PUNISHED.

YOU ARE F-"

"Omega, wait!" a male voice interrupts him. It's Grayman The Wolf, coming out of the records room.

"WHY SHOULD I WAIT?

ARE YOU SUPPORTING HER WILD FANTASY?!"

"Unfortunately, yes. And I have photographic evidence that it's not just her imagination."

"OH?

I WONDER IF THEY ARE AS FAKE AS THE STORY." Omega mocks while folding his arms.

"...I have three pictures. The first is the rock wall in front of Shining Tower. The second is the rock arena in the undercity. The third picture is the big hole near the arena...I don't have a photo of the tornado because it was gone too quickly, but I hope this convinces you to not fire Vivid." Grayman says while handing over the pictures. He seems confident, but he actually gnashes his teeth out of fear that Omega will fire Vivid regardless of the evidence.

"AND I AM TO BELIEVE THIS IS NOT EDITED?"

"...I didn't take these photos with my phone, I took these with the G.U.N photoshooter which don't have a photoshop function. To prove that, I didn't take the photo out until I was in the G.U.N headquarters so that the security camera could watch me. After that, I stayed in the headquarters the whole time. If I scanned the photos to edit them with the computer, the security cameras would have seen them." he explains.

Hearing that, Omega takes another look at the photos, then turns to Vivid who looks like she might dry out from how much she sweats.

"I WITHDRAW MY ACCUSATIONS AGAINST YOU AND WILL NOT FIRE YOU.

YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY TO HAVE A BRAVE COMRADE THAT STANDS UP FOR YOU IN A MOMENT OF CRISIS…" Omega relieves her while turning to all the G.U.N soldiers, signaling them with flashing eyes that they should be ashamed for not helping Vivid despite knowing she is right. This made the soldiers look ashamed, frustrated and sad.

He then turns back to Grayman, who is shaking hands with the grateful Vivid right now..

"THERE IS STILL SOMETHING THAT BOTHERS ME.

AFTER TAKING PICTURES, DID YOU REMOVE ALL EVIDENCE OF WHAT YOU CALL MAGIC BEING USED?" Omega asks out of curiosity. "THE MORTALS WOULD LOSE THEIR MINDS IF THEY SEE THESE."

"Yes, me and the others destroyed the rocks. We called the road technicians to fix the hole and told them that it was the result of a crazy terrorist attacking the road with a bomb."

"AND THAT WILL FOLLOW INTO ME NOT HEARING ANYTHING ABOUT MAGIC IN THE NEWS?" Omega asks while pointing at the huge TV in the room which is always active, except for today.

"Ah, I see what you suspect. No, this isn't intentional, we just forgot to reactivate it after the power outage because we were all just still traumatized from witnessing magic. But I am pretty sure there will be no talk of magic in the news. Maybe some civilians witnessed something but they would be dismissed as crazy attention seekers. The public eye will not witness the proof of magic!" Grayman displays confidence.

"I EXPECT NOTHING TO BE WRONG IN YOUR STATEMENT.

CLOUDS, TURN ON THE COMPUTER!" Omega orders while turning to a blue falcon we are already familiar with.

While this happens, some of the G.U.N soldiers are heard arguing to each other.

"Why is Omega still so chill after hearing that magic is real?! He has no reaction to it!"

"He is a robot, you idiot!"

"He is of a higher tier unit, of course he is given top secret information!"

"Why weren't we given that knowledge?! We as G.U.N soldiers are supposed to protect our society! In the G.U.N academy we were trained to confront any type of crime…what a lie!!"

"Yeah! Why do the G.U.N higher tiers not trust us?"

"You can't expect the G.U.N to tell everyone who joins them about magic! Imagine someone misusing that information!"

"Hey, what if the G.U.N higher tiers know how to get magic?! Why aren't we given magic to make us stronger at protecting our society like we are supposed to?!"

"I hate this! I lost my daughter to a mass murderer! If I was given magic to beat criminals then she would have still been alive today!"

"Damn, the G.U.N looks way too shady to me now! I want to leave!"

"Yeah! Fuck the G.U.N! Just how many secrets do they keep from us?!"

Omega's hands are shaking. He is seemingly frustrated about what the soldiers say. But then everyone gets silent as then the large TV is turned on. The Local News channel plays, and no one in the G.U.N expects something besides the power outage and Shining Tower to be mentioned. The G.U.N did remove the rocks after all, so they think there is no evidence for magic existing.

But what is shown on the news shocks them. No, it's not the fact that the news presenter is some little robot with an annoying child voice named Omochao. It's what it says what is disturbing to them

"Bzzz, hi, I'm Omochao! Yesterday, before the power outage, a fire broke out in District 06 of Lost Angels! The residents watch in horror seeing their apartment on fire! In that burning apartment, there was a baby inside!" Omochao informs in a most casual tone.

"What the hell!? Why do I not know any of this!?" Grayman shouts in disbelief.

"I think Omega, Glare, Darkion, Goldlock and you were fighting the Sewer Bandits at that point of time." Vivid explains.

"The parents of the baby are scared to death, worrying and crying about their baby. But then, a teenage blue hedgehog appears, and miraculously saves the baby! Witnesses claim that he went into the building at very high speed, having left the building as fast as he entered it, and that that teenager introduced himself as 'Sonic The Hedgehog, fastest thing alive'! There is no video recording proving his high speed, but he surely sounds like a superhero straight out of a comic book!" Omochao reports with a lot of excitement.

During that, Omega slowly turns around, looking with his red eyes glowing in a dark tone at the sweating soldiers.

"H-hey, at least you have proof about the tornado now, right? Right?", one of the soldiers tries to change the mood. Omega doesn't reply, then slowly turns to the TV again as Omochao starts talking again.

"To think that it took a brave teenage hero coming out of nowhere to save that baby! The firemen would have come way too late to save the baby! And no one else was brave enough to save the baby! To think that only a teenager was brave enough to save that baby! Shame on the fire force! Shame on ev-"

Then Omega suddenly gets mad and drives his metal claws inside into his arms and machine guns come out, destroying the TV with rapid fire. Despite breaking it, he keeps shooting. It's very loud. The G.U.N soldiers are very frightened, some of them hide under their tables. After Omega's ammo is out, he turns with bright glowing eyes to the soldiers.

"HOW DARE YOU HIDE THAT FROM ME?!

PATHETIC LITTLE MORTALS, TRYING TO COWER FROM PUNISHMENT LIKE THAT!

YOU MORTALS ARE A DISGRACE TO THIS ENTIRE PLANET!!" Omega rages while slamming a nearby table. One soldier tries to disprove him.

"Wh-what did we do wrong?! That news channel bot said that there was no proof o-"

"SHUT UP, PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A LIVING BEING!!

THERE WAS A BURNING BUILDING AND NONE OF YOU HELPED!

YOU JUST LOOKED AWAY!

IF THAT BLUE BLUR WAS NOT PRESENT, THAT BABY WOULD HAVE DIED, AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ALL YOUR FAULT!!

ALL YOUR FAULT!!"

"But we d-didn't know anything about a burning building!" a female soldier replies.

"SILENCE!!

I WILL NO LONGER HEAR ANY EXCUSES!!

YOUR JOB IS TO LOOK OVER THIS CITY AND PROTECT IT!

HOW DO YOU OVERSEE A BURNING BUILDING ANYHOW?!

ME AND SOME SUBORDINATES WERE FIGHTING SEWER BANDITS DURING THAT TIME!

ALL THE OTHERS HAVE NO EXCUSES!

WHAT DID YOU HAVE TO DO THAT WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SAVING A BABY FROM FIRE!?

YOU ARE PATHETIC, IGNORING MORTALS IN D-"

"But that's what the fire force should do, not us! It's none of our business!", someone in the crowd interrupts him.

Then Omega's eyes suddenly stop glowing. He turns around to who just said that comment. It was the cyan mouse we are familiar with.

"...WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?

REPEAT IT." Omega orders in a dead serious tone, despite knowing exactly what the cyan mouse just said, he understood him clearly.

Snare The Mouse shivers in fear. Omega without his eye lights looks terrifying, only darkness beneath his head. It's like a robot's version of a death stare. Out of fear, Snare is at a loss for words. He knows that Omega heard very clearly what he said, but wants Snare to repeat it because the sentence was problematic. Snare knows that repeating the sentence will just make Omega more angry.. But then Omega suddenly walks to him, grabs him on the vest, piercing through it with his metal claws and moves his head right in front of Snare's!

"REPEAT.

WHAT YOU JUST SAID." Omega demands. But the cyan mouse doesn't reply, he's too terrified. But then Omega suddenly single handedly lifts him up! Snare screams in fear because he is very far from the ground due to Omega's size. The other G.U.N soldiers watch in horror.

"REPEAT!

WHAT YOU JUST SAID!

CAN YOU NOT LISTEN TO SUCH A SIMPLE ORDER?

ARE YOU REALLY THAT PATHETIC?

HOW DOES SOMEONE THIS PATHETIC HAVE A PREGNANT WIFE?

IS THE CHILD INSIDE HER EVEN YOURS?" Omega insults him mercilessly due to losing his patience.

"Halt, Omega! You're torturing him!" Grayman shouts.

"I GAVE HIM SIMPLE ORDERS AND HE KEEPS DISOBEYING ME.

WHY SHOULD I STOP TRYING TO MAKE HIM OBEY ME?

THIS SITUATION WAS ENTIRELY IN HIS CONTROL.

HE HAD THE CHOICE TO NOT SAY THE SENTENCE THAT INFURIATED ME, AND HE HAD THE CHOICE TO JUST OBEY MY ORDERS.

ONLY NATURAL TO PUNISH HIM.", Omega replies spitefully. But then Snare The Mouse finally gives in.

"Ok…ok…I'll r-repeat what I said…the thing with the burning a-apartment was…none of our business…the fireforce sh-should handle those s-situations…now please…p-put me down! Put me down…put me down…" Snare begs Omega, hoping he would stop holding him off the ground and that this nightmare of a bad situation would finally stop. However, it only gets even worse. Omega's eyes now glow in almost binding light, and loudly shouts a sentence that will echo in the entire building…

"YOU ARE FIRED!!" After the robot lieutenant shouts that sentence, he pulls his arm he's holding Snare with with such high force that he rips away the G.U.N suit the cyan mouse is wearing because he in Omega's eyes is not worthy of wearing that. Snare then falls to the ground on his face, getting hurt a bit.

"What?! No…please…please no!! I need this job…my wife and I are poor…We need the money to live in peace! Please change your mind…"

"NO, I WILL NOT.

YOUR INCOMPETENCE AS A GUARDIAN UNIT WOULD GET CIVILIANS KILLED.

PROTECTING THEM IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR PAYROLL.

NOW, LEAVE THIS BUILDING AT ONCE AND NEVER RETURN." Omega replies coldly, which makes the cyan mouse cry and run away. Most G.U.N soldiers look pretty sad for him.

"LET THIS BE A LESSON FOR ALL OF YOU:

THAT MORTAL WAS NOT FIRED FOR HIS DISOBEDIENCE, BUT FOR OPENLY STATING THAT SAVING CIVILIANS FROM DEADLY FIRE IS NONE OF HIS BUSINESS.

WHAT A JOKE.

WE AS THE GUARDIAN UNITS OF NATIONS EXIST TO PROTECT CIVILIANS, FIRST AND FOREMOST.

IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE SPECIFIC SITUATION CALLS FOR THE FIRE FORCE, THE AMBULANCE OR A POOL ATTENDANT.

IF YOU SEE PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP, HELP THEM!" Omega explains.

"HAVE YOU ALL UNDERSTOOD?!"

"Aye!", the soldiers shout while saluting. Their motivation spiked after Omega's speech and are happy he's here.

"LOUDER!"

"Aye!!"

"I WANT TO HEAR ALL OF YOUR ADRENALINE!"

"AYE!!" the soldiers shout so loudly that it echoes.

"GOOD.

NOW, GET BACK TO WORK!!

I WILL FLY TO THE LOST ANGELS POWER PLANT TO FIND MORE EVIDENCE!

YOU FOUR GO TO SHINING TOWER TO FIND MORE EVIDENCE!" Omega orders while pointing at four of the many G.U.N soldiers with his metal finger.

"Omega, before you go, here is something we found yesterday near the rocky arena. It's some broken communicator. Maybe it belongs to the thief or that Sonic gut." a G.U.N soldier says while handing the evidence over to Omega. The communicator looks nothing special and is coloured yellow and purple, but still makes Omega stare at it for a while. Is there a reason for that?

"Huh? Omega, you are unusually silent right now. Have you got a hunch who it might be?", Grayman asks.

"IT IS NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO GO ON, I NEED MORE.

NOW, OPEN THE LARGE WINDOW!" Omega orders.

"Good luck! I hope it's the one you suspect!" Vivid cheers, seemingly being happy after Omega's speech.

"HMPH.

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM NOT HOPING FOR." Omega replies before he flies through the open window, leaving the soldiers confused. While Omega flies in the air, he starts talking to himself.

"HMPH…HOW UTTERLY PATHETIC…

I CANNOT BELIEVE I HAD TO TEACH GUARDIAN UNITS THAT THEY SHOULD GUARD CIVILIANS!!

THEY MADE ME LOOK LIKE AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER!!

NO WONDER THEY ARE KNOWN AS THE WEAKEST G.U.N IN ALL OF MOBIUS…

I WILL FILE A 7 PAGE LONG COMPLAINT ABOUT ME BEING STATIONED HERE!!"

In the Lost Angels sewers, the rats and Sonic are still navigating through the sewers, with the gray rat taking the lead. At some point, Sonic gets so bored that he yawns and feels sleepy. But then suddenly, the rat who takes the lead starts running..

"Kwick! I see fe monstah!" the gray rat shouts while running at the bridge crossing to the right.

"What?! It's there?!" Sonic asks out of surprise.

Usually Sonic would have been the quickest here, but with two huge rats in front of him in a tight metal bridge, there isn't enough space to walk and see past the rats. Suddenly, some metallic little ball is thrown at them. It misses and falls into the water, but then suddenly blows up. The ball is small but the explosion looks big and scary. Sonic is so shocked that he almost fails to notice that a second ball is being thrown. Sonic jumps backwards to avoid the explosion that blows up a considerably big part of the bridge. Shoot, now he is seperated from the rats and the monster!

Sonic prepares to spin dash jump to the other side, but stops when he hears some thumbs alongside the rats shouting.

"Fat's it! Wee ave gut yo now, monstah!" one of the rats shouts proudly. At first, Sonic is glad to know the rats succeeded with their goal. But then his smile fades when a sudden voice emerges which belongs to neither of the rats.

"Stop hurting me…I will do everything you Sewer Bandits want…please don't kill me…" a high male voice begs desperately, almost sounding female. Sonic, completely flabbergasted by what is happening right now, finally gets a good look at the monster which is tied around its body by a grappling hook, and notices immediately that it is no monster at all.

It is a 14 year old male yellow fox with a bit of white fur. He is considerably shorter than Sonic. He has sapphire blue eyes shaking in fear as well as three locks of hair on his forehead. He has a fresh bruise on his left cheek as well as a missing fang. He wears a violet hoodie with short sleeves which has orange strings and the letters M and P inscribed in white. Below the fox's neck are safety goggles with orange lenses tied to a black band. Maybe he wears that because he is a hobby mechanic or something else. He also wears white working gloves with silver rings on the wrist. The ring on his left hand has some phone-looking device attached to it. Additionally, he wears black arm protection. He's probably the type of guy that doesn't like being hurt, maybe there is protection beneath his violet hoodie and the black cargo pants too. His working shoes are mostly black with a bit of orange. However, the most noticeable thing about the boy is that he doesn't have one, but two long tails.

"What the hell are you doing?!" the confused Sonic asks.

"Wee arr kilin the monstah!" the black rat shouts while dragging the fox to the bridge part that was broken by the explosion.

"What do you mean?! That's not a monster you're dragging around, that's a boy! You're really ganging up on a young boy?! Man, that's just pathetic!"

"Arr yo blind?! Jus look at fis disgusting atroshity!"

"Atrocity?! That's just a kid with two tails!! Are you really going to kill him because of how he was born!? Go look at a mirror if you want to see a ugly monsters!" Sonic shouts aggressively. It's not usual for him to get this angry.

"Shaddap!! Dont yo know who wee arr?!" the white rat shouts back.

"...help m-me…" the fox faintly whimpers while looking at Sonic.

"Stoopid monstah! Shut yo damn mouf!" the gray rat shouts and then stomps the boy with high force, making him scream in pain. Sonic was horrified at how unbelievably evil some people can be, and that horror in his face fades quickly into rage.

"Stop!! Don't you understand how wrong you are?! If you stomp him one more time, I will shred your face, no kidding!"

Hearing that from the blue hedgehog, the rats seemingly have shocked face expression and the gray rat leaves his foot from the fox…only for them to grin menacingly and kick the fox into the gap. Sonic panics and rushes into action. He runs forward, holds his hand at the ledge of the broken bridge part and stretches his arm to barely manages to catch the screaming boy at one of his tails.

"Haha…don't be scared. I am a hero…" Sonic cheers up the boy, who is shocked by the fact that someone just saved him. Sonic smirks, but also sweats. He is not some fearless hero, the boy is pretty heavy for Sonic's untrained arms. He is risking falling down into the water with him, and Sonic is afraid of water. But everything goes fine and Sonic manages to pull him up and remove the grappling hook around the boy. The rats don't attack, because they are so stunned by his selfless action.

"Okay, let's run!" Sonic demands from the boy. The fox nods, and they run off. Sonic runs at regular speed to not leave him behind.

"Ey!! Yo cant run awae from-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!" the black rat falls into the water because in the intense situation, the idiot tried to chase the boys and forgot about the gap.

"Uhhh…lets run fe opher direshion!!" the gray rat tells the white rat before running off.

Sonic and the boy run through the sewer. When encountering the first crossing, the two-tailed fox notices that the hedgehog doesn't know where to go.

"Let me take the lead. I know how to navigate through the sewer." the fox says.

"Oh, cool! You know how to get to the surface?" Sonic asks excitedly.

"We won't go to the surface. We will go to my home."

"...what?! No way your home is in the sewer! Is this some sick joke?!" Sonic shouts in confusion.

"No, it's not. In the city, all the men, women, boys and girls hurt me. They look down on me, laugh at me, insult me, push me, kick me and injure me. All that only because I have two tails. That's why I made myself home in the sewers since I was 11 years old." the fox explains in a sad tone.

"No way! What about your parents?! I don't think they hurt you too…right?!"

"My parents…mother, father…they are gone. They…they left this world early…" the boy replied, having struggled a lot to just say the sentence. He seems to start crying.

"Oh…" Sonic knows exactly what the boy meant.

"Because of that, I had to live in a cursed orphanage. The children there are sad and frustrated about losing their parents in accidents, murder and war…and decided to let it all out on me, only because I have two tails! This sewer is nowhere as ugly as the people of Mobius!!" the fox shouts in frustration with tears in his eyes, making Sonic look sad for him.

After running for a while, the fox suddenly gets slashed on his leg by a grappling hook from behind, making him trip and scream in pain and cry even more. Sonic kicks the grappling hook away and looks at the evil rats furiously.

"Oooh…how doh yo run awae now?! Hahahahaha!" the gray rat laughs

"Grr…I told you before to stop hurting him…NOW I'LL SHOW YOU!! HYYYYAAA!!" Sonic rages, letting out a battle cry.

He then runs so fast that he is suddenly in front of the gray rat, punching his enemy in the stomach. His movements surprised the yellow fox and the white rat immensely.

Before the gray rat can even react, Sonic kicks him against the chin, making him fall to the ground. Sonic then walks up to his face and spin dashes against it, shredding his face just like he told he would do it. The gray rat is not dead but he will certainly never look the same again. After knocking the gray rat out, Sonic then looks at the white rat furiously. That makes him get so scared that he jumps down the metal bridge into the dirty water.

The two tailed fox is astonished by what he just witnessed.

"Wow…so cool…" he gasps while rubbing his tears away.

"Can you walk?" Sonic asks out of concern.

"I can, thank you. Do you want to come with me? I have food and money to offer."

"Great! How kind of you!"

"Thank you so much for saving me…what is your name?" the fox asks out of curiosity.

"I am Sonic, Sonic The Hedgehog! Fastest thing alive!" Sonic introduces himself proudly.

"Me? Oh, um…you can call me Tails…" he answers while not looking him in the eyes.

"Tails?? No way that's not a fake name! What's your actual name?"

"Sorry, but 'Tails' is the only name I have now…after my parents died in front of me, I was no longer the same…"

"Huh? What do you mean?" Sonic wonders.

Omega flew to Shining Tower after finishing the investigation at the power plant. There, he meets Grayman.

"HAVE YOU FOUND ANY EVIDENCE?" Omega asks.

"Yes, Vivid found this…no idea what that's supposed to be…" Grayman answers while handing Omega something over. It seems to be a broken piece of something yellow and metallic. There are letters on it inscribed in white. Due to being broken, the full word is not visible. What is visible however is a part of the letter A, followed by a fully visible I, an L and an S.

Then Grayman is shocked at seeing Omega in a way he has never been before. His metallic hands tremble. His eyelights are shaking. Then Omega said something peculiar…

"...NO…

…WHAT WAS HE THINKING…

…PLEASE HAVE A GOOD REASON…"
