Chapter 30: School Raze, Part 1
On a calm spring day, Muffins the delivery mare flew towards the School of Friendship. Muffins looked at a letter, but failed to look where she was flying as she bumped into the wall. Cozy Glow caught the letters as they fell.
"Thank you for the mail delivery. Have a wonderful day!" Cozy Glow said.
Muffins saluted the filly and flew off to make more deliveries. Cozy Glow went back inside the school with a smile on her face. She then picked up an empty juice box and put it in the recycle bin and the straw in the trash.
Just then, Cozy Glow noticed a pink pegasus filly whose mane and tail had red, orange, yellow, two shades of blue, and purple bands having trouble finding her way, despite having a map.
"You're new here, right?" Cozy Glow asked.
The rainbow maned filly nodded in reply.
"I'm Cozy Glow, Professor Sparkle's friendship assistant. Welcome to our school! Your first class is just down that hall," Cozy Glow said.
The rainbow maned filly gave her a thankful smile, then took the map and made a left turn to her first class.
It wasn't long before Cozy Glow entered the library. She flew over to Silverstream, who was trying to solve a crossword puzzle.
"A seven-letter word for "teamwork". Have you tried "synergy"?" Cozy Glow suggested.
"That's it! Thanks, Cozy!" Silverstream said.
"What are friends for?" Cozy Glow replied.
In Twilight's office, she was looking through some papers. But while she was looking through her paperwork, she turns to the photo of her, Chase, and Nyx smiling together in the photo.
She takes the photo in her hooves while looking at the family picture with a heartbroken look. It felt like almost a week since Chase was banished to Wasteland. Twilight still missed him so much and felt like being without him was a new level for her to handle the school alone with the others.
"I miss you, Chase." Twilight said sadly as she shed a few tears from her eyes while looking at the photo, not seeing Darkshine walking in and approached her.
"Do you still think about him, Twilight?" Darkshine asked with a concerned look on his face as Twilight turns to face him sadly.
"Yes. I wish he hadn't accepted his banishment." Twilight replied back sadly.
As she continued to gaze at the picture, she failed to notice that Cozy Glow came in.
"Good morning, Professor Sparkle!" Cozy Glow greeted as she gave Twilight the mail, shocking the alicorn mare in the process.
"The mail's here already? What time is it?!" Twilight asked, looking at the clock with a horrified look on her face. "I'm late for my class's field trip to Cloudsdale!"
Twilight took out her saddlebags as she frantically panted and tapped her hooves. She was then surprised by the kind gesture Cozy Glow gave her by removing her saddlebags.
"Don't worry. I asked Professors Rainbow Dash, Sokka, Nyx, and Counselor Starlight to cover for you," Cozy Glow replied.
"And they said yes?" Twilight asked.
"Uh-huh. I told her how busy you are and how much her loyalty meant to you," Cozy Glow replied, "I also color-coded your teaching schedule by friendship element and cataloged all the magical artifacts in the school." She then became nervous. "I hope that's okay."
"Okay? Cozy, that's amazing! You're like our right-hoof pony! I don't know what we'd do without you," Twilight said with a proud smile. "If only Chase and Nyx could see how nice, helping, and kind a pony you are."
"It's like you taught me. Helping is what friendship's all about," Cozy Glow replied.
"Exactly, and hopefully our class is learning that on their field trip right now," Twilight said as she sat back in her chair.
"I heard they might do some sightseeing first," Cozy Glow replied as Twilight looked out the window with Cloudsdale in the distance.
(Scene changes)
Meanwhile, at Cloudsdale, near its factory some lightning clouds were in view as Rainbow, Starlight, Nyx, and Sokka were there giving the students the tour.
"Ta-da! The Pegasus Weather Factory! Every drop of rain or flake of snow from Cloudsdale comes from there," Rainbow Dash said.
"And it's where the pegasi make the weather there as well." Sokka added with a proud smile on his face.
The students reacted with awe as they were amazed.
"I know, right?" Rainbow asked, then noticed the students looking elsewhere, which annoyed her and Sokka. "Hey! The cool stuff's over here!"
"Come on, kids! You don't wanna miss the lightning clouds in action." Sokka said as the students quickly turned their attention to the weather factory.
"At the factory, they always make electricity as well from the thunder too." Nyx added with a smile.
"Wow! I've never stood on a cloud before!" Ocellus said.
"It's so fluffy." Korra said with an excited smile and hops on the cloud.
"You can't normally. But for our trip, I cast a spell that lets us walk like Pegasi," Starlight replied as she lightly stepped on the cloud they were on to prove her point that she wasn't falling down.
"Since Ocellus, Gallus, and Silverstream are capable of flying, shouldn't they be able to walk on clouds without the spell?" Mako asked. "Korra can fly too since she's an alicorn as well."
"Good point, Mako," Starlight replied.
"Hey, Yona! Come check out this view!" Gallus said, then smirked, "Unless you're too scared."
"Yona not scared!" Yona replied, as she let go of one of the pony students' hooves.
Meanwhile, Korra and Bolin were jumping on the cloud together up and down.
"I bet we can do this all day." Korra said excitedly.
"Hey, let's try it!" Bolin added excitedly as well.
Bolin jumped up and down three times on the cloud without falling. But then on the 4th jump…
"AH!" Bolin screamed as he suddenly slipped through the cloud as Yona fell through the cloud too.
"Now Yona scared!" Yona shouted as she screamed with a horrified look.
"HELP ME!" Bolin screamed at the top of his lungs.
The entire group gasped and looked down through the gap they fell through.
*Main theme*
Yona and Bolin continued screaming as they fell. Starlight quickly used her magic to bring them back up, but for a strange reason, her magic suddenly fritz out and then fearfully gasped.
"Uh... Starlight, was that spell, the one thing... keeping us from falling?" Mako nervously asked.
"Huh-uh." Starlight fearfully nodded.
Suddenly, Mako suddenly screamed loudly as they one by one the non flying members of the group fell through the cloud.
"GUYS, HELP!" Mako screamed as he fell through.
"Oh no!" Sokka said in alarm and horror.
"Come on! We gotta catch 'em!" Rainbow said.
Rainbow, Nyx, Korra, Sokka, Smolder, Ocellus, and Silverstream swooped down to save the others. Rainbow and Sokka caught Starlight. Smolder caught Sandbar, Silverstream caught the unicorn student and the pegasus student caught the other earth pony student. Yona, Mako, and Bolin kept falling until Nyx, Korra, Gallus, and Ocellus caught them as they were just about to hit the ground.
"Gotcha!" Gallus said as Nyx and Korra gently placed Mako and Bolin on the ground as they sighed in relief.
"Oh, thank goodness that's over with." Mako said with a relieved smile as Bolin nodded in agreement.
"It's okay, Yona! You like flying, remember?" Ocellus said, reminded Yona.
"Flying, not falling!" Yona replied, crossing her forelegs.
Once fully on the ground, she eagerly kissed it. Smolder, Silverstream, and the pegasus student set Sandbar, and the other two pony students down on the ground, along with Rainbow and Sokka setting Starlight down.
"I don't understand. It-It's like my spell stopped working. That's... never happened before," Starlight said.
Rainbow, Starlight, Nyx, Sokka, and the others showed looks of concern.
"We need to get back to the school and tell Twilight about this!" Sokka said with worry.
Nyx, Starlight, and Rainbow nodded in agreement.
(Scene changes)
Soon enough, Rainbow, Sokka, Nyx, and Starlight rushed into Twilight office as Cozy Glow was with the alicorn mare and Darkshine.
"Mom! We've got a problem!" Nyx shouted in horror.
"A really big problem!" Sokka added with concern.
"We have an emergency!" Starlight said.
"The students dropped out of the sky!" Rainbow added.
"Slow down. What happened?" Twilight asked.
"I cast a spell for our field trip to Cloudsdale, but my magic just failed," Starlight replied.
"We barely caught everypony in time!" Rainbow added.
"They almost got killed from that impact if we hadn't stopped them." Sokka added with worry.
"I'm glad you're all okay, but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, Starlight," Twilight replied, "Maybe you did your spell wrong. Let's take a look."
"I hope you're right, Twilight," Darkshine said with a doubtful look as Twilight tried levitating a book off the shelf, only for it to fall onto the floor.
"I didn't drop that book," Twilight said as Darkshine gazed at it in surprise.
"You were saying, Mom?" Nyx asked her mother with an annoyed glare.
"Maybe you did your spell wrong?" Starlight added sarcastically.
"There's no need to get all sarcastic at the moment." Darkshine said sharply, startling the two in the process. He then tried to use his magic, but it didn't work. "That's impossible. Something must be wrong."
"Guys, we're not playing around." Sokka said with a firm look on his face. "Something is really wrong here, we can't just ignore it."
Just then, they heard a thud on the door.
"Ow!" Rarity exclaimed as Fluttershy opened the door.
"Fluttershy, what happened?" Sokka asked as Fluttershy turned to her husband with concern.
"Rarity ran into the door, honey." Fluttershy said.
"My magic is go-o-o-one! I even had to use my hooves to coif my tail!" Rarity sobbed.
"I think we got bigger problems to worry about right now, Rarity." Nyx replied back to her with a blunt expression.
"Still think there's nothing to worry about?" Rainbow asked.
"This doesn't make any sense. Magic can't just disappear. Something has to be causing this," Twilight said.
"Well, whatever is going on around here, this sounds like a dangerous situation." Darkshine said with a concerned look. "I don't like where this is going either."
"Um, didn't we learn in class about a creature that eats magic? Ter, Tee... Tir-something?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Tirek!" Fluttershy replied, gasping.
"Isn't he trapped in Tartarus?" Rainbow asked.
Just then, the door opened revealing Spike gagging like he's sick.
"Spike, what's wrong?" Twilight asked.
Spike didn't answer as he kept gagging, Rarity then slammed her hoof on his back to help him belch out a letter.
"Thanks. I've never had a letter get stuck before," Spike said, with a sigh of relief, "It's from Princess Celestia! We've all been called to an emergency meeting in Canterlot! Look!"
Twilight took the letter with her magic, only for it to fall on the floor.
"Pretty sure I know what it's about," Twilight replied.
(Scene changes)
A little while later, the eight nine members of the Mane Sixteen, Starlight, Spike, and Cadance were gathered in the throne room, meeting with Princesses Celestia and Luna as well as Pakku Shisho.
"Throughout our city, ponies have been reporting tales of their magic failing. Spells going wrong. Potions not working," Princess Celestia said.
"Even raising the moon has become difficult. Are there similar troubles in Ponyville?" Luna asked.
"We experienced it first-hoof," Twilight replied.
"It's the same in my kingdom. The Crystal Heart seems safe for now, but I worry if this continues," Princess Cadance said.
It was then that the local mail delivery pony entered the throne room. He gave a salute to the Princess and Pakku.
"Letter for the princess and Pakku from Star Swirl the Bearded!" The delivery pony said as Spike took the letter and held it close to Princess Celestia so she could read it, whilst he hovered.
"Ah! It is even more terrible than we feared! Magic is disappearing all across Equestria!" Princess Celestia said, then everyone else gasped, "Star Swirl believes the power will drain from our land in three days. First, unicorn magic and spells will fail."
"That's what's happening now," Starlight replied.
"On the second day, creatures will lose their magic abilities," Celestia continued.
"Oh, no!" Fluttershy gasped.
"This is a disaster," Pakku said.
"And finally, magical artifacts will stop working. When the sun sets on the third day, the magic in our world will be gone forever!" Celestia finished.
Everyone gasped in horror.
"But why is this happening now?" Cadance asked.
"That's the worst part. We have no idea," Princess Luna replied.
"Has anypony checked on Tirek?" Twilight asked.
"You mean the big, red, scary centaur who eats magic? Why would we wa— Ohhhh. Riiiiight," Pinkie replied after realizing what Twilight said.
"If he has found some way to escape his prison or work from within it, he could be responsible for this," Princess Celestia said.
"That is the best explanation so far," Princess Luna added.
"This might sound crazy, but I don't think Tirek is behind it. This smells like Quinkan activity to me," Sokka replied.
"What do you mean, Sokka?" Nyx asked curiously.
"I suspect Kai must have found some means of stealing magic and chi so that he can use it for himself, leaving us defenseless as he conquers Equestria," Sokka explained.
"And if Tirek is still in Tartarus trying to find a way to escape, then he's obviously not doing it alone either." Clay added with a suspicious look on his face.
"Whether it's the Quinkan or Tirek, we're doomed either way unless we can find the source of the problem and stop it," Pakku said with a grim and firm look.
"Agreed. Regardless of who is responsible, somepony should investigate," Princess Luna added.
"Then maybe we should see what Chase thinks." Pinkie suggested before she realized something as they turned to the empty spot where Chase would be standing.
Hearing his name, the others still felt sad and heartbroken about the alicorn stallion in the Wasteland with his family. Celestia, Luna, and Pakku saw this as they knew what they were all dealing with.
"Are you all still thinking about Chase Young?" Luna asked with concern.
"Yeah." Sokka said with a sad look. "Chase has been gone for almost a week with his family and we still forget he's not here."
"Will he ever come back, Twilight?" Rainbow asked Twilight with a concerned look on her face. "I mean, Chase is always the best leader of the group beside you with every plan he has."
"And is Chase ever thinking about coming back with food?" Pinkie asked curiously, causing the others to look at her with funny looks. "What? Food would help sooth the nerves."
SLAP!
"OW!" Pinkie shouted as she rubbed her head in pain while glaring at Clay, who had done that.
"I don't know, guys. Chase and his family are on a journey to find a way to redeem themselves. And to find answers." Twilight said with worry and concern for her husband's wellbeing.
"Well, I miss having Daddy around, Mom." Nyx said with a sad look on her face, showing how much she missed her father.
"As do we all, Nyx. We must have faith that he is ready to come back and when he is ready." Pakku said, voicing his hope that Chase will come back soon.
Twilight continued to look down at the ground in silence as she still thought about Chase and still missed him so much. Then she brought her head up with a determined look on her face.
"I know that Chase has always been the one guiding us through the journeys we've had over the years when there's trouble in the air, it's up to us to go to Tartarus and check up on Tirek for ourselves." Twilight said with a confident look on her face, surprising her friends in the process.
"Wait, darling. Are you saying you want us to aid you on this quest? Without Chase?" Rarity asked, visibly surprised by the alicorn's confidence.
"After my training with him to become a kunoichi in following his hoofprints, I've finally learned to be a better leader like him and it's okay to count on your friends for help." Twilight replied back before she asked with concern. "Um, you do want to come, right?"
"Uh, duh!" Rainbow replied with a cocky smirk. "Besides, this could be our chance to make Chase proud of you for being the leader he wanted you to be as well, Twilight."
"And with having us by your side as well, we'll be making him even more proud of you." Applejack added as she and the others gave Twilight a confident smile, in which the alicorn mare returned as well.
"Thank you, all. We will search for ways to protect Equestria in your absence," Princess Celestia replied.
"Be careful. Tartarus has changed since you were there. It now holds many dangerous creatures, and you won't be able to rely on your magic," Luna added.
"With her friends by her side, she won't have to," Applejack said.
(Scene changes)
In the village of Japon, Chase and his family were immediately packing everything they needed for their long journey back to Ponyville in order to stop the threat.
"Alright, guys. I hope you packed up everything you need. It's gonna be a long journey home." Chase said with a determined look on his face.
"We've got everything ready, Chase." Jade replied back as the five ponies put their saddlebags on their backs as Dojo joined them with a small backpack. "If the Quinkan think they're gonna drain the magic away, they have another thing coming to them."
"Especially Cozy Glow since she's been the one behind all of this." Sunray added with a smirk.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get this show on the road!" Antonio said with a smirk.
The five ponies were about to leave when footsteps were heard coming their way as they turned to see Kon, Juto, and Chikara coming up to them.
"I hope you five have prepared yourselves for this long journey you will have." Kon said with a hopeful look.
"We're ready for our trip back home, Kon." Trini replied back.
"Then it would be wise of you six to bring another guest with you." Juto said as he stepped to the side to reveal Bagheera walking up to the Elite Ninja, shocking them and Dojo in the process.
"Bagheera?" Chase asked in surprise. "But you're still a cub. You can't do this."
"Look, I may be a kid. But I want to prove that I can help anyway I can with you guys. You need me to help you with this mission." Bagheera said, trying to reason with the five ponies.
Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio looked at each other for a moment before they nodded in agreement as they turned to face the black panther cub.
"Alright, but you're gonna have to stay with us at all costs. Okay?" Chase asked firmly as Bagheera nodded in reply. "Alright, let's head for the docking area and find us the Zeppelin cargo cruise."
Jade, Trini, Surnay, Antonio, Dojo, and Bagheera nodded in reply. That's when Jade remembered something.
"But what about our chi? Will they get sucked away too?" Jade asked with concern.
"There will be no need to worry, Jade." Juto replied back calmly and firmly. "Your chi will be intact with you as a back up source of magic that is hidden in your medallion."
"Remember to use our teachings wisely. All of you." Chikara said calmly. "And most importantly, good luck to you all."
Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio bowed their heads in reply as well as respect to the three alicorn masters.
"Heed me well, Elite Ninja. It is of the utmost importance that you make sure Cozy Glow does not let the magic drain away. For if she does, she is one step closer to completing her father's wishes of ruling Equestria." Kon said as he gave the five ponies a firm look.
"We won't let you, Chikara, and Juto down, Kon. We'll do whatever we can to stop Cozy." Chase replied back as Kon nodded in response. Then Chase turns his attention back to his family, Dojo, and Bagheera. "Alright, guys. Let's go."
"You got it!" Sunray said with a smirk as Chase walked out towards the exit from the walls with his younger brother following him.
"Wait for me!" Jade called while following her family.
"Let's do it!" Trini added.
"Copy that!" Antonio added as he, Dojo, and Bagheera followed them out to head for the Zeppelin cruise area.
(Scene changes)
Soon enough, the members of the Mane Sixteen and Starlight were back at the School of Friendship. Twilight walked out of their office with Nyx, Starlight, Sokka, Clay, and Darkshine.
"Okay. I left you guys my lesson plan, all our student files, and our annotated syllabus notes. If anything goes wrong, get Celestia," Twilight said.
"Got it!" Starlight replied.
"MaybeI should just close the school and send our students home," Twilight said nervously, opening her wings and folding them down.
"Would you two go save Equestria already?" Starlight asked as she pushed Twilight.
It was then that they met up with the other Mane 5 and Spike, who also had their bags ready.
"Okay. Cozy packed us all up for a trip to bad guy central," Spike said.
Just then, Cozy Glow came with something for each of them.
"Don't forget the sandwiches. I marked whose is whose, just in case," she spoke up, then whispered, "Starlight can't stand mustard."
"That's so sweet of you, Cozy. But Twilight has asked me to stay here to run the school," Starlight replied. "Also, Nyx, Sokka, Clay, and Darkshine are gonna help me out as well."
"We've already got the dojo classrooms covered up as well so we'll be fine." Sokka said as he, Nyx, and Clay walked off to the dojo.
"Oh. I thought that after what happened last time-" Cozy Glow tried to say as she frowned in an unusual behavior.
"Once she's survived Discord, anything else is a piece of cake," Spike replied, cutting the filly off.
Cozy Glow whimpered with a sad look on her face.
"Plus, they'll have you to help them," Twilight said.
"Oh, golly, yes! I promise I'll be the best assistant ever!" Cozy Glow replied as she hovered with a grin on her face, "Come on. We can start working on your substitute headmare plans right now, if you like."
"Wow. Uh, okay," Starlight said in an unsure tone while she and Darkshine followed her.
"See? Nothing to worry about," Twilight said, but then she panicked and clutched Spike's bag strap. "Tell me there's nothing to worry about."
Spike then pulls free, and Twilight sheepishly brushes him and Spike facepalm himself.
(Scene changes)
In the classroom dojo, Sokka and Clay were busy sparring together as Nyx was performing a set of katas with her katana sword.
But while they were practicing, they couldn't help but think of what Cozy has been doing lately.
"You know, guys. I was all up for Cozy to help us out, but have you noticed that she's been acting a little off lately?" Sokka asked his friends curiously. "I mean, is she been really too sweet?"
"Yeah, there's something about her that I don't trust one bit." Nyx said while performing some sword training. "It just doesn't seem right to let her help us out since all of the magic is somehow fading away."
"I honestly hope your mother knew what she was doing, Nyx." Clay said to the alicorn filly. "I know Twilight has good intentions on leavin' us, Starlight, and Darkshine to take care of the students, but maybe there's more going on here than meets the eye."
Before either Clay or Nyx could respond back, a clanging sound was heard from the left side as they turned to see some armor suits fall down.
"Aw man, I thought I just put those up." Sokka said as he walked over to them and picked them up to place them back on the armor stands.
Suddenly, something grabbed Sokka by the back and immediately dragged him into the shadows as he yelped in surprise.
His scream alerted Clay and Nyx as they immediately came to his aid.
"Sokka?" Nyx asked with concern.
Then a growl was heard behind Nyx and Clay, making them freeze in place with widened eyes. They slowly turned around to the fourth wall and screamed in fright as something black appeared in front of them.
(Scene changes)
The next day, the students gathered in the main hall and strangely Cozy was the only one at a booth.
"Good morning, friendship students!" Cozy happily beamed. "I know we're all sad of Professor Sparkle is away. But don't worry, because she left me in charge to do things just the way she would."
"I'm sorry, you?" Bolin asked as he frowned confusedly.
"Uh, I thought Starlight Glimmer was gonna be temporary headmare." Gallus added as he frowned as well. "Where are Clay, Sokka, Darkshine, and Nyx?"
"Yeah, weren't you going to help them?" Mako asked.
"They were, but they left me this note." Cozy said and brought out a note with Starlight's Cutie Mark as well as Sokka, Clay, Nyx, and Darkshine's. "We have to go. Twilight needs our help. We know the school is in good hooves with you, Cozy." Isn't that sweet?" She giggled. "We won't let them down, will we?"
The students agreed with each other, but the Young Nine weren't 100% sure of it.
"It's just kinda weird, isn't it?" Smolder pointed out.
"I don't know what you mean." Cozy said innocently.
"Like, why'd she change her mind?" Smolder said. "Why did Starlight, Nyx, Sokka, Clay, and Nyx write a note instead of saying goodbye to us themselves? Doesn't make any sense."
"Yeah, it does add up." Mako said, agreeing with her.
The students murmured to each other, and agreed it was unlike her, but then Cozy giggled.
"Oh, Smolder and Mako, you forgot. We're not scheming dragons. We're ponies. Sounds like somecreature needs to do a little extra friendship homework." Cozy said as she flew up to Smolder, bumped her nose and winked.
The students laughed at that, and Smolder annoyingly growls as smoke steams through her nose. Same with Mako.
"Yak not pony either!" Yona said, defending them. "If Smolder get homework, Yona get homework."
"Me too!" Ocellus added while joining her.
"I'm in!" Sandbar said as he was joining as well.
"Yeah!" Silverstream said as she laughed. "Homework party!"
Mako, Bolin, and Korra join them as well before then they turn to Gallus.
Gallus rolls his eyes.
"Fine." Gallus said as he annoyingly groaned in defeat.
"What loyalty." Cozy said touched by that. "Professor Rainbow Dash would be so proud, especially former vice Headstallion Chase Young. You are such good friends. You all are. And I'm grateful because it will be awfully hard running a whole school alone. Can I count on each of you to help me?"
The students cheered, though the Young Nine felt suspicious about Cozy's friendly behavior.
"Thank you so much!" Cozy said as she smiled. "It's just like our professors taught us. Together, we can get through anything!"
Soon, the students begin to head to their classes and Cozy heads to Twilight's office when Korra caught up to her.
"Uh, Cozy? C-Can I talk to you for a second?" Korra asked as she went to her.
"Sure." Cozy said as she turns to her.
"Are you sure running the school on your own is a good idea?" Korra asked with a confused look.
"Why you ask?" Cozy asked as she frowned at the alicorn filly.
"I mean, you know how Chancellor Neighsay is against Twilight and Chase." Korra said, reminding Cozy. "If he finds out that a foal is running instead of a grown pony, it could lead to getting the school shut down for good this time."
"Oh, don't worry, Korra." Cozy said assuredly with a smile. "I'm sure I'll sort everything out with him if he does show up."
"Okay." Korra said skeptical. "But Neighsay is the least of my worries."
"Don't think about Neighsay, just think about the positive." Cozy said positively. "And besides, we already won't have to deal with the Quinkan for now as well."
"Uh... Okay. If you're, sure." Korra said a little uneasy.
"I'm sure." Cozy said. "Now, let's get to class."
Korra heads to her class, but she felt suspicious of Cozy and can't help but think something wasn't right.
(Scene changes)
At a Zeppelin cruise cargo area in the Wasteland, the place has zeppelins, buildings, and cargo chariots with ponies working in the area. Two of the work ponies were lifting some crates onto a conveyor belt and they began to go into a Zeppelin carrying a lot of loaded boxes.
Once the workers were done, they went off to take care of other pressing matters as one of them walked over to some crates while whistling before he turned around to walk behind some of the deliveries when…
SMACK!
He fell on his back with a grunt and went unconscious before he was pulled forward. Then Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio appeared behind the crates with Dojo and Bagheera. Using their stealth skills, they quietly and quickly made their way to the Zeppelin.
"There's the Zeppelin cargo cruise, guys. We made it just in time." Jade said with a whisper to her family.
"And it looks like its heading for Canterlot. This will take us back to Ponyville for sure." Trini added as she noticed the destination address.
"Then we've got no time to waste." Chase said with a determined smile.
"Yeah, we go to Ponyville and stop the Quinkan." Sunray added with a smirk on his face as well.
Suddenly some chattering was heard coming their way, making the Elite Ninja, Bagheera, and Dojo go on alarm.
"Oh no. Don't look now, guys, but company's coming!" Antonio said with a worried look.
"What do we do now?" Bagheera asked with concern.
Thinking quickly, Chase noticed a large cargo crate was half opened as he saw the destination for Canterlot. Seeing this gave him an idea.
"Quick, get inside the cargo crate. It'll take us to the school! Move, move, move!" Chase ordered silently as his family, Dojo, and Bagheera immediately went into the cargo crate with the alicorn stallion jumping in last before he shuts the crate completely.
A group of work ponies approached the cargo crate and pulled it onto the Zeppelin cargo cruise as they grunted.
"Man that was hard to lift." A female worker complained as she straightened her back a bit.
"Yeah. but what did they pack this thing with? Rocks or something?" A male worker asked.
"I don't know, but it sure was something." Another male work pony replied back as they and the rest walked out of the Zeppelin. "Hey close the door, we're ready to go."
In response, the Zeppelin closed the doors and it went into the air, heading for Canterlot. In the cargo bay, the huge crate began to move.
"I need air!" Dojo's muffled voice was heard.
The box opened up as Dojo coughed some packing peanuts out of his mouth just as Sunray popped up.
"Will you quit moving around?" Sunray complained with an annoyed look.
"I'm sorry. I just get so nervous before I travel." Dojo said with a whisper.
"How did I get stuck with you as a moving buddy?" Sunray asked before he jumped out of the cargo crate along with Chase, Jade, Trini, Antonio, and Bagheera.
"Everyone else was picked to go in there." Dojo replied back, following them in pursuit.
"Okay, guys. Looks like we're on our way now." Chase said, knowing they were heading back home.
"At this rate, we'll be sure to make it back in time." Jade added in agreement.
"Well, does anypony got a deck of cards? This is gonna be one long ride." Antonio said while reclining on some cushions.
Chase smirked along with Jade and Trini.

Meanwhile, the six girls of the Mane Sixteen were still hiking to Tartaurus. But strangely, Starlight, Sokka, Clay, Nyx, and Darkshine weren't with them as Cozy said they'd be.
As they walked, Rarity was swarmed by flies and tries swatting them away, and one landed on her nose. She tries to get it, but ends up hitting herself when the fly flew off.
"Ow!" Rarity cried. "Ugh! I have had it with these horrible flies! I miss my magic!"
She began to whine as Twilight looked a little annoyed at that.
"Have you tried using your tail to shoo them away?" Twilight asked bluntly as she swatted some flies with her tail, making Rarity to gasp offendedly.
"Bite your tongue! It's for decorative purposes only!" Rarity said as she clutched her tail.
"Hey!" Pinkie looks through her bag. "I didn't know we packed green cupcakes."
She then brought one, but it was completely molded.
"Um, we didn't." Fluttershy said as she cringed disgustedly while Spike urges not to vomit. "They must've gone bad without magic to keep them cold."
Pinkie then tossed it in her mouth, and chewed it, but then her face turned green before she spat it out.
"Magic" this, "magic" that." Rainbow bluntly said, thinking the group was overreacting. "We don't need magic to go on a little hike."
Then suddenly, as if she jinxed it, a lightning flash was heard with thunder and then it started raining as they quickly ran under a tree.
"You were saying?" Rarity asked Rainbow as she glared at her.
"You just need to think more like Earth ponies, y'all." Applejack said, suggesting something and then she reached into her bag, pulling out a small jar of cream substance. "Granny's "Apple Core No-Bite-No-More"!" That'll keep the flies off."
Rarity dips her hoof in it, as well as Twilight as Pinkie takes a hoof full, and sniffs it.
"Ugh! It smells just like it looks!" Pinkie said as she cringed in disgust and rubbed on her face while Fluttershy turns to a blueberry bush next to her.
"Even if our food's spoiled, these blueberries are still good to eat." Fluttershy said with a smile.
"Too bad we can't do anything about the rainstorm." Spike pointed out as he was looking at the storm.
"I can't stop that storm by myself, but I can still help!" Rainbow said with a confident smile.
She flew up into the storm and then came back with a cloud. The others ran under it, and are shielded from the rain.
"I think we have all the magic we need right here." Twilight said and the others turn to her as they frowned. "Not that I want to get it back. Heh. Let's go!"
Soon they continued their trek to Tartaurus, not noticing the cargo Zeppelin in the sky Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, Antonio, Bagheera, and Dojo were on.
(Scene changes)
Later that night at the School of Friendship in the hallway, Sandbar was carrying some books when he noticed three other pony students talking to each other.
"Cozy Glow baked our class cupcakes today!" the one called Citrine Spark said.
"And she made all of us friendship bracelets!" the one called Berry Bliss added.
"She's the nicest pony I've ever met. I'm so glad she's headmare!" the one called Patty Peppermint replied.
"Uh, temporary headmare? Right, guys?" Sandbar asked.
"Oh, oh, of course. But if Twilight takes her time coming back, I won't mind," Citrine Spark replied.
The three of them laughed as they went on their way. Sandbar picked up the books and went off to find his friends.
(Scene changes)
It wasn't long until Sandbar soon entered the library and found the others hanging out.
"Finally!" Silverstream exclaimed. "We thought you forgot about study club."
"What took ya so long, Sandbar?" Mako asked with a confused look on his face.
"Sorry I'm late, Mako." Sandbar apologized. "Cozy Glow gave our class tickets to a Sapphire Shores concert in Ponyville tonight."
"You get the feeling Cozy's trying too hard to make us like her?" Gallus asked, still suspicious of her innocent behavior.
"Now that you mention it, I thought she's been a little off since our Tree of Harmony cave thing." Bolin remarked.
"Yeah, and hasn't she been a little weird after seeing that Chase and his family were banished?" Korra added with a curious look on her face. "Somehow she seemed less sad than that."
"Or maybe she just wants to help us keep our minds off of how scary it is that magic's disappearing." Ocellus suggested.
"I don't know, Ocellus." Korra protested. "My grandfather once told me if something doesn't feel right, something is certainly going on. And there's never been a rogue like him."
"That does sound exciting." Silverstream said.
"Try saying that when he was almost turned over by the Quinkan." Bolin said with a blunt look on his face. "He could've been killed long ago. I'm just also glad my parents were okay."
"Yeah. I don't trust her." Smolder said, agreeing with Bolin. "What's she up to behind those big eyes and bouncy curls?"
Suddenly a clatter was heard and Yona looked through a gap from the shelf.
"And why Cozy pony coming out of catacombs so late at night?" Yona asked curiously.
"What?" Mako asked as he peaks through.
The others looked and saw Cozy climbing out of the chute leading out of the cavern below. She soon flies off as the Young Nine peek their heads from the shelf.
"What was she doing in there?" Korra questioned with a curious look.
"Let's go ask her." Gallus said and they secretly followed her.
(Scene changes)
Meanwhile, the six girls of the Mane Sixteen have finally arrived at the gates of Tartaurus. The gates were still completely intact, and there was no force exit nor footprints leading out.
"This is the only door to Tartaurus." Twilight said. "The good news is the seal isn't broken, so we know Tirek didn't escape."
"Let me guess." Applejack said while she frowned. "You got bad news, too?"
"Last time I was here, I had to use magic to get in." Twilight sadly confirmed. "And according to Star Swirl, all Unicorn magic was gone by yesterday's sunset."
"Maybe he was wrong." Rainbow suggested in theory.
Knowing that it wouldn't work, Twilight decided to give it a try at least. So she used every amount of strength, but was only able to make a single small spark and she sighs in defeat.
"Don't worry, Twilight." Pinkie said with a hoof around her. "I got this."
Pinkie zips off and then comes back wearing a pizza costume as she knocks on the gate.
"Free pizza delivery!" She announced. She then brought a box of pizza and holds it out. But nothing happened. "Huh. Always worked before." Pinkie frowned. "Oh, well."
"Did any of y'all pack somethin' that could actually help?" Applejack asked.
Then they all dig through their bags, hoping that something will help and Rarity brings out some sewing materials.
"These all do magic, but not the kind we're looking for, I'm afraid." Rarity replied back dismally and then Spike found something.
"How about this?" He brought an artifact in a triangular circle shape, and with bronze and sky blue coloration.
"The Key of Unfettered Entrance!" Twilight beamed excitedly. "Where did you find this, Spike?"
"In your bag." Spike answered and he handed it to Twilight. "Cozy Glow must've packed it for you."
"She really did think of everything." Twilight said as she smiled.
"Um, what does it do?" Fluttershy asked.
"It can magically open any door." Twilight explained. "And since artifacts like this haven't lost their power yet..."
She then placed the Key of Unfettered Entrance in the keyhole, and then it glowed. Then white flash moves across the seal as the 4 squares on the corners turn and then the gates unlock as it opens. Then Twilight went over to retrieve the Key, but the moment she touched it and the artifact then shattered into dozens of pieces.
"I guess it only works once." Twilight said as she frowned confusedly from that.
Soon, they all walked in and entered Tartarus. But soon, the gate doors closed behind them.
Inside, it was all dark and the only sounds were the footsteps from them.
Then suddenly, out from the darkness, a Cockatrice pops from nowhere and it screeches.
The girls of the Mane Sixteen jumped from that and gasped as they quickly covered their eyes from the Cockatrice, except Pinkie.
"Cockatrice!" Applejack exclaimed in horror and fear.
"Do something, Fluttershy!" Rarity pleaded worriedly.
"Don't look at it!" Rainbow shouted as she pushed Fluttershy forward. "It'll turn you to stone!"
The Cockatrice let out a hissing growl, and then Pinkie finally got out of her frozen stance.
"I don't feel like stone." Pinkie said as she frowned confusingly. She then hops to test herself. "Unless it's really bouncy stone."
Soon the others uncovered their eyes thinking it's safe and Fluttershy went up the Cockatrice as it growls sadly. It's likely the violent reaction towards them was an act of self defense and was startled. Fluttershy sadly strokes him in comfort.
"I think he lost his magic, too." Fluttershy said as she looked around at the other caged animals. "All the creatures here must have."
Then the light appeared, and saw dozens of cages with trapped creatures.
"Star Swirl said that would happen on the second day." Twilight remembered.
"I know it should make me safer, but it just makes me sad." Spike said sadly for the creatures. "We gotta fix this!"
Then the group begins to head deeper into Tartarus.
(Scene changes)
Meanwhile, the Young Nine followed Cozy Glow all the way to Twilight and Chase's office. They watched her enter as the door was just slightly open. It was then that Neighsay revealed himself, turning around and faced Cozy Glow with a firm glare.
"Where are Princess Twilight and Darkshine?!" Neighsay asked angrily.
"Oh, golly. They're away on a quest. I'm watching the school for them," Cozy Glow replied.
"Magic is failing across our land, and they left a foal in charge of this facility?" Neighsay said.
"Yes, sir! Is there anything I can do for you?" Cozy Glow asked.
"That won't be necessary. Twilight's folly stops here. As of now, I am headstallion, and I have quite a few changes to make," Neighsay replied with a devious smile on his face.
Cozy Glow scowled at him, while the Young Nine had looks of concern on their faces.
(Scene changes)
Meanwhile, the six girls and Spike managed to enter Tartarus via the Key of Unfettered Entrance.
"If all these monsters lost their magic, then getting past Cerberus should be easy-peasy!" Pinkie said, trying to literally put a smile on some creature's face. Her attempt was futile as the creature just kept a frowning face.
"Look out!" Rainbow shouted as she and the others heard Cerberus coming.
They screamed and scattered as Cerberus charged and chased them.
"I'll talk to him," Fluttershy said.
Cerberus just growled until Fluttershy flew up to his heads.
"Um, excuse me, puppy?" Fluttershy asked, getting his attention, "You're a very good guard dog. Yes, you are. But, um, we were wondering if we could get by to check on Tirek.
Cerberus licked her face in response.
"That looks like a yes," Applejack remarked.
"I'll get you a towel, darling," Rarity said as Fluttershy giggled from the licking.
The girls and Spike followed Cerberus until they went over to where Tirek was held.
"The Princess of Friendship here for a visit. What have I done to earn the honor of your company?" Tirek asked with a mock bow.
"We want answers, Tirek. Magic is disappearing from Equestria," Twilight said.
"I know. What a waste of such…...mmmm, delicious power," Tirek replied, licking his lips. Then he noticed that they were more than one pony short as he smirked. "Say now, where are your husbands anyway, Twilight, Applejack, and Fluttershy? Shouldn't they be with you all?"
The seven glared at him in response for mocking the Elite Ninja as well as the rest of their friends.
"Chase and his family got banished to the Wasteland." Twilight said bitterly. "The rest are back at the school."
"Back with the magic problem, so you are behind this!" Rainbow Dash said while pointing at Tirek.
"Silly filly, if I had all of that magic, you think I'd still be locked up in here?" Tirek asked rhetorically, "But I might know something about it..."
(Scene changes)
Back at the School of Friendship, Neighsay slid his hoof across Twilight's desk and put the Young Nine's files in the wastebasket.
"What are you doing?! Those are Twilight and Chase's student files!" Cozy Glow asked.
"These aren't. Not anymore. With Equestria under attack, ponies must stand together," Neighsay replied, "Twilight has endangered us all by skipping off on friendship trips while these dangerous creatures run loose. And I for one am glad Master Chase is no longer welcome back here after the destruction he and his family has caused."
"You don't think their students are the reason magic is disappearing, do you?" Cozy Glow asked. The Young Nine were taken aback by what they were hearing.
"Yes, and I came to warn Twilight and Darkshine. But since they are gone, it falls to me to protect you foals from these monsters," Neighsay replied.
Outside the door, the Young Nine felt so insulted that they chattered among themselves. It was enough to draw Chancellor Neighsay's attention.
"Did you hear something?" Neighsay asked.
"It sounded like it came from over there!" Cozy Glow replied, pointing at the door.
They opened the doors, causing the Young Nine to fall atop each other, into the office.
"You again. As I suspected," Neighsay said and was about to activate his magic when Korra beat him to it.
"Oh no you don't!" Korra shouted as she swated Chancellor Neighsay's medallion away at the desk, making him grunt in surprise.
He turns back to the alicorn filly with a glare, only to widen his eyes as Korra came at him with a flying spin kick to the face as it sent him flying at the desk as well.
Korra then dropped some teleportation smoke bombs to the ground, causing smoke to appear. Chancellor Neighsay and Cozy coughed from that as they turned to see if the nine students were there, but they were no longer in sight. This made Chancellor Neighsay groan in annoyance before he sighed calmly with a smirk.
"From now on, this school is pony-only! As nature intended," Neighsay declared. "Everypony will come to their senses eventually."
Outside of the School of Friendship, the Young Nine were watching Chancellor Neighsay and Cozy Glow from the windows of Twilight and Chase's office carefully. They retreated into the Castle of Friendship and closed the doors behind them as they breathed a heavy sigh of relief.
"Phew, that was close. Thanks for the help back there, Korra." Sandbar said to the alicorn mare with a thankful smile.
"You're welcome, Sandbar." Korra replied back before she became concerned. "I knew Chancellor Neighsay was gonna come back to mess everything up at the school."
"How are we gonna get him to understand we're not the enemy? He's just so blinded by his own pride." Ocellus said with worry about the school's wellbeing.
"If you ask me, he's done enough damage to us for one day." Smolder said with a look of disdain as she crossed her arms.
"Yeah, I'm really starting to get annoyed with him trying to convince ponies that creatures are the enemy." Mako said as the others agreed with him.
"So what are we gonna do now? If only Chase was still here, he'd know what to do." Silverstream said with concern.
Then Sandbar had an idea.
"Well, he may not be here to help us out. But I have an idea somepony else who can." Sandbar said with a determined smirk as the others turned to him.
(Scene changes)
Soon enough, the Young Nine went over to Sweet Apple Acres to get help. Sandbar threw apples at one of the bedroom windows until Apple Bloom woke up and opened the window, yawning and rubbing her eye. She ducked as he threw a watering can into her room.
"What in tarnation?!" Apple Bloom exclaimed and looked down.
"Finally you're awake, Apple Bloom!" Korra said with relief.
"Sorry, I ran out of apples. I need the Cutie Mark Crusaders. We're in trouble. Neighsay has the school running for ponies now," Sandbar replied.
"Huh? I thought Cozy Glow was in charge," Apple Bloom said.
"Not anymore, but you guys are good buddies. If you can convince her to distract Neighsay, we might be able to see what Cozy is really dong. Will you help us?" Sandbar replied.
"Do mulberries have seeds?" Apple Bloom asked rhetorically, leaving the Young Nine confused, "That's a yes."
"Hurry!" Mako exclaimed. "Get down here and we can get Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo to help out."
With that said, Apple Bloom quickly heads down.
(Scene changes)
Meanwhile, back on the Zeppelin in the cargo bay, Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio were feeling tired and bored from riding in the air while hiding.
"Ugh." Antonio said as he moaned tiredly while fanning himself as Sunray was tossing and catching a ball from the wall repeatedly with a bored expression. "Aren't there supposed to be, like, pretty stewardesses handing out warm hand towels and stuff?"
"Not down here, Antonio." Sunray replied back with yawn. "Not for us since we're still on the criminal list."
Chase wipes a few sweat drops from his head while Bagheera sleeps soundly. Dojo was asleep as well until he fell to the ground with a groan. He straightens up and dusts himself off.
"How long has it been?" Dojo asked curiously as Jade checked a stopwatch on her tiredly.
"A day, two hours, and thirty five minutes." Jade replied back with a yawn.
"The sooner we get to Ponyville, the better." Trini said while lying on some cushions.
While looking down at her stopwatch, Jade noticed her medallion glowing a bit. Curiously, she taps on it and projects a magical screen showing map to Ponyville. She then noticed a lot of red dots on the map, which can only mean one thing as Jade widens her eyes forgetting her tiredness.
"Oh boy." Jade said, gaining her family's attention as well as Bagheera and Dojo's. "Guys, the Quinkan are already in the School of Friendship."
"What?" Chase asked in surprise as the others gathered around them.
"They must've begun to suck the magic to the Netherworld." Jade said with concern as she used her hoof to move the map slightly to show that they were almost at the School of Friendship and Canterlot.
"It looks like we're almost about to head for Canterlot, right?" Chase asked while pointing at the map.
"Yeah, and with a three thousand-foot separation to the ground." Jade confirmed. "Uh, I can plot a course for intercept, but we'd have to jump."
Hearing this got Bagheera's attention.
"Jump?" Bagheera asked with widened eyes.
A hatchet door that leads outside of the Zeppelin opens as the Elite Ninja, Dojo, and Bagheera looked down to see they were moments away from heading to Canterlot and more aways down to Ponyville.
"Oh boy!" Bagheera said worriedly as he clutched onto Chase's right hoof. "Guys, I don't know if this is such a good plan!"
"Oh come on! Don't go getting soft on us now, Baghy!" Antonio said with a playful smirk. "This is gonna be fun!"
Jade looks down to see that the Castle of Friendship and the School of Friendship were in view.
"We gotta go now, guys!" Jade said with determination. "We've only got thirty seconds before this Zeppelin cargo hits Canterlot! You know the plan."
"Yeah, stop Cozy and the Quinkan." Chase said with a smirk. "Are you guys ready?"
"Ready!" The others, minus Bagheera, replied back.
Chase then looked down to see that Bagheera was still feeling a little scared about this since he was starting to suffer from a fear of heights.
"Don't worry, Bagheera. You can ride on me for now until we get to the bottom." Chase said as Bagheera smiled in reply before he jumped on the alicorn stallion's back and got a good grip on him.
They looked at each other with smirks before they faced the window.
"You wanna go first, Sunray?" Chase asked Sunray with a smirk as his younger brother turned to him.
"You bet. And I've always wanted to say this." Sunray said with an excited smile before he jumps out of the Zeppelin and dives down. "SURF'S UP EQUESTRIA!"
Jade went first followed by Antonio, Dojo, Trini, Chase, and Bagheera as the black panther cub still held onto the alicorn master. The seven dived down while straining from the falling.
"Quick, guys! Create your pegasus wings, now!" Chase ordered as his family used their back up magic from their medallions and pegasus wings grew out of their backs.
Then Chase spreads his wings out before he immediately flies down with his family and Dojo following him as Bagheera still holds on to him.
In just a few seconds, they came upon the flat top of the Castle of Friendship and they were getting closer to the pool as they screamed at the top of their lungs.
Just at the right moment, they splashed down into the pool of water. Bubbles emerged from water before the seven popped their heads out of the water with gasps for breath.
They climbed back onto the roof and collapsed on their backs while breathing heavily.
"Man, that was intense." Dojo said with a smile as the others turned to him with blunt looks. "What?"
Chase got up as he shook the water off him followed by his family and two friends. He looks over and walks forward to see that they were back in Ponyville on top of the Castle of Friendship.
"We made it back, guys. We're home." Chase said with a relieved smile.
"Yeah, but we still have work to do." Jade said with concern as the others turned to her. "We've only got until tomorrow before the magic gets sucked into the Netherworld."
"Right. Come on, we gotta get inside without being seen." Chase said as the seven turned to look at the School of Friendship with determination to end the threat.
(Scene changes)
Back in Tartarus, the girls and Spike were still trying to get answers from Tirek.
"Where is Equestria's magic going, Tirek? What's making it disappear?" Twilight asked.
"If you let me out, I'm sure it will jog my memory," Tirek replied, "What do you say? I scratch your back, you scratch mine?"
Hearing this caused Twilight to lean back in disgust as Rainbow came to her defense.
"How about you tell us what you know or you'll be stuck here forever, because we're out of magic keys and nopony can open the door?" Rainbow demanded.
"Oh, dear. I hadn't thought of that," Rarity said with a worried look.
"We're just as trapped as Tirek?" Spike asked with concern as Twilight tried to comfort him while Tirek chuckled evilly.
"What a pity. Well, for you. Sweet revenge for me." Tirek said with a devious smile as Twilight narrowed her eyes at him as he turned his back to them with a smug smirk. "It seems my little protege and her army's plan worked after all."
The others gasped in shock at finding out Tirek is now working with an ally.
"Which little protégé?" Applejack asked.
"Oh, we've never met. We're pen pals. Each letter had so many questions about draining magic," Tirek replied as he strapped his claw across a bar.
"And you answered them?!" Pinkie asked, getting into his face.
"I was bored. So I simply pointed my pen pal and her army in the right direction," Tirek said, getting into her face as Pinkie then collapsed onto the ground and Fluttershy helped her up.
"Can't you just tell us your pen pal's name as well as her army? I mean, since we're stuck here anyway?" Fluttershy asked.
"Oh, why not? The irony is too perfect," Tirek said, "Her name is..."
(Scene changes)
Back at the School of Friendship, the Young Nine and the Cutie Mark Crusaders were back in the library after they eventually made it inside without being seen from Chancellor Neighsay or Cozy Glow.
"Cozy Glow! I-I could've sworn I saw her come down this way when she left her office," Sandbar said.
"I did too," Korra replied.
The group entered the catacombs followed by Sandbar as he closed the grate. They heard groaning and looked over seeing Nyx, Clay, and Sokka beaten and chained to the walls upside down.
"Guys!" Silverstream said in alarm as they raced over with Korra cutting them loose.
"Are y'all alright?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Not especially." Nyx replied back as she groaned.
"Who did this to you?" Sandbar asked.
"No idea," Sokka groaned, as he grabbed her boomerang and machete, "Nyx, Clay, and I were sparing in the dojo, when suddenly something grabbed us."
"Whoever they were, they were as tough as Kai." Clay added as well with a crack of his neck.
"And none of you know who did it?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Nadda." Nyx replied.
"Uh... I think I might know." Scootaloo said, in worry while looking through a window.
They peaked up and gasped as they saw Starlight and Darkshine trapped in a magic sphere surrounded by six cultural relics arranged in a spell circle. But what really shocked the others the most was that the entire Quinkan army, Kai, Tai Lung, Dark Chase, Dark Jade, Dark Sunray, Dark Trini, and Dark Antonio were there while watching them with smirks on their faces while the Quinkan soldiers growled at the trapped unicorns.
"Oh no! It's the dark clones of the Elite Ninja!" Ocellus said in horror.
"And the Quinkan!" Silverstream added in shock.
"What is all of this?" Mako asked in shock and confusion.
They then kept quiet as the evil clones laughed at Starlight and Darkshine.
"Ooo! Look at me! I'm the super powerful Starlight Glimmer and the hot headed Darkshine!" Dark Antonio said mockingly before blowing a raspberry.
"And you were both too dense to notice you walked right into a trap!" Dark Jade added with a chuckle.
"You two are real chumps! You wouldn't know trouble if it was right in front of you. Just like that air-head Twilight, her husband, and her doopy friends!" Dark Sunray spoke to the trapped unicorns mockingly.
"Yes, yes, yes. This is all highly amusing, but we cannot take all the credit since our new leader has proven useful to lure the Elite Ninja away as well. She has been quite helpful too." Kai added with a smirk.
"The new leader?" Korra asked confusingly.
"She?" Bolin asked while everyone had a bad feeling where this was going.
"Speaking of which, here she comes now!" Dark Chase said as he motioned to a figure walking out of the shadows.
"Enjoying yourselves in there, Starlight and Darkshine?" The figure asked.
"That sounded like... no!" Nyx gasped in alarm before she narrowed her eyes. "I knew it! It's her!"
Coming out of the shadows was Cozy Glow in the fur.
"I'm sorry I had to push you in. But what else could I do? You were going to ruin all my plans." Cozy said with a fake smile before she turned it into a cold glare as everyone gasp in surprise.
"Cozy Glow?!" Sokka and Clay said in shock.
"You might get some company soon, if I can't make that annoying Neighsay back off!" Cozy shouted insanely before taking some breaths to calm down.
"Just say the word and we'll pound that stinkin' jerk into paste!" Dark Sunray said feeling up for some pounding.
"Oh no, I could never have that! Besides, I've already got plans for him." Cozy assured him.
"Aw!" Dark Sunray grumbled.
"I have to say, Cozy, I'm impressed that you've been manipulating Twilight and the others from the very beginning." Dark Chase admitted. "Especially having her stupid husband and his family out of the way as well."
"When you duped those dumb fillies the Cutie Mark Crybabies into tutoring you!" Dark Antonio laughed.
The CMC looked at each other in horror, realizing they were used all this time.
"You're ten times more cunning than Chrysalis ever was and I like it!" Dark Jade commended the filly as well.
"Aww, thank you," Cozy flew up to the Dark clones of the Elite Ninja, "Now you took care of the other senseis, right?"
"They never knew what hit'em!" Dark Trini answered.
"Well, that's a relief." Cozy said before she turned to Starlight and Darkshine. "All this magic needs time to drain from Equestria before my vortex sucks it to the Netherworld where the Quinkan will grow stronger." She then giggles to herself. Three days can sure seem like forever, huh?"
"Yes, and very soon this world will be defenseless while we have all the power we need to fulfill Emperor Zhao's glory!" Tai Lung added with an evil smirk. "Soon no one will be able to stand in our way."
"And after Chase destroyed my father, Zhao, it's the perfect opportunity to make him pay for what he has done to me." Cozy added with a glare he sent to the trapped unicorns, shocking them in the process.
Hearing this made the Young Nine and Cutie Mark Crusaders gasp in complete shock of what they heard.
"Wait. Cozy is Emperor Zhao's daughter?!" Sandbar asked his friends in shock.
"I can't believe it!" Smolder said in surprise and shock as well like the rest of the group.
"That's checkmate two. Check, mate!" Cozy announced, "You know, you ponies got it all wrong. Friendship isn't magic. Friendship is power! With Twilight, her husband, and their lackeys out of my way, all of Equestria will bow to me! The future Empress of the Quinkan!"
Cozy puts Zhao's gauntlet on her left leg and a version of his Kuro Kabuto helmet of her own on her head as she cackled maniacally.
The Dark clones of the Elite Ninja, the Quinkan, Kai, and Tai Lung bowed their heads to Cozy Glow, while the Young Nine and the CMC watched in horror at what was happening.

Here's the first chapter of School Raze. Also, I was not very satisfied by what John Smith 135 said in his review about the last chapter I wrote. That was very disrespectful of him. I do my way only and it sounds like he just sounded like a big jerk. I worked my whole life to make these stories of mlp in a different way, and all I got was a bad influence from him on the last review. If he is getting this message, I want him to stop being a big baby and get use to it since it sounds like he starting to make me look like the bad guy. A little disrespect I can handle, but being so insensitive is just too far. I want you all to realize I was only making something interesting, which I know you all understand and like it, but I expect him to be more considerate so he doesn't act angry towards me. I'm fed up with his bad reviews since he's almost making me look like the bad guy now. The worst part is that he never apologized. I know you all want me to create something interesting, but he just took it too far for me this time.
I'm sorry if I may starting to act like the bad guy right now, but I guess it was just because of his behavior towards me. I'll still continue to write the other stories though.
Anyway, I'll be back to writing the last chapter soon enough this weekend and publish it. Hope you guys like this one.
