Chapter 29

"So, that's the situation…"

It was a small meeting in the communal dining hall. Suiryu gathered everyone up who would be affected and the teachers so they can pass the information off to the students. In short, Suiryu explained that dragon slayers are now in play. They are going to be coming to Japan to finish them off supposedly. At the same time, they need to be made aware, not all divine creatures are on their side.

"I could have told you that," muttered Sukuna as he sat next to Chusi, however, he appeared to be… rather… impatient about something.

Sukuna was oddly fidgety.

Suiryu could care less at this point as he continued to explain what was happening. There was also another tidbit he mentioned. "Apparently, a divine user can become a divine creature under certain conditions. I took the divine energy of one Leo Adonis a while ago, after I became a dragon in fact. The thing is, when I did, he should have died within three days. But, I've been informed that he survived and turned into a divine creature… what kind, I don't know, but, we should keep our eye out for him."

"Really? A divine user can become a divine creature?" Sukuna asked. "Well butter my ass and call me a biscuit…"

Everyone… froze.

In fact, everyone was now staring at Sukuna oddly. "What the hell just came out of your mouth?!" Suiryu demanded.

He merely shrugged. "Words." He said bluntly. "Is this everything? I got stuff to do…"

"Yeah… sure…"

Sukuna smiled. "Good!" he decreed, he got out of his chair, grabbed Chusi and hucked her over his shoulder. "Because this biscuit is about to get some butter." He said and playfully smacked her ass. "Later losers!"

"Don't wait up!" Chusi called as she was carried out the doors.

No one moved.

Suiryu shuttered. "Anyone else creped out by this?!" he demanded.

All hands went into the air, Satoru put all four arms up.

"Two would have been find Gojo," Yua said gently.

"No, this is how SERIOUS I am right now!" he protested back. "I mean… what the hell is going on! What is the point of this!" he demanded.

"Still upset she hasn't changed you back huh?" asked Suiryu.

Satoru had a 'no shit' look on his face.

Ironically it's the same as Sukuna's.

But then, Satoru peered over at Yua. But then, his eyes widened.

"You okay? You looked like you swallowed a bug." Suiryu asked.

Satoru was silent though, he stood up and approached Yua who sat near Suiryu. Yet, with the way he was looking her over, it was if something was wrong. "Satoru?" she asked.

"When?"

"Pardon?"

"When did you get pregnant?!"

Silent.

Yua turned pale at the decree. "What makes you say…"

"Your energy is nothing, but…" his lower right hand was trembling before her stomach. "It's gathering here… in fact, I don't even see it circulating your body… Yua…"

She was stunned herself. Suiryu got rather blunt as he leaned in and smelt near her stomach. "He's right," he said bluntly. "You're expecting Yua. Damn, and not even a month in…"

She froze to this news. Not even she knew?

Suiryu sighed aloud. "So, the slayers…"

"Leave them to me."

Everyone paused as Toji put up his hand in a lazy manner. "I got this," he decreed.

"You sure?" asked Yua.

Toji gave her a side glare, but then, smiled. "They came after my son… you don't come after what's mine,"

Megumi was sinking deeper into his seat.

Suiryu wasn't sure about this, should he leave it to Toji? "Do it," came out of Satoru.

"Huh?" the room called out. "I thought…"

He waved it off. "On one condition, Toji." He stated. Toji peered over at him with interest. "You mangle them worst than what you did to me."

Toji's smile turned wicked. "That's a promise,"

"Should we be going after them now?" asked Megumi.

"Taking into consideration that this is a side hustle for Kenjaku, he is throwing these guys at us to bide time for himself," came out of Gojo.

It shocked the room actually.

"Sukuna gave a warning too, when the plan isn't going in his favor, Kenjaku will swap bodies, and find something that will allow his ideas flow back into his favor. No doubt he has already changed bodies by now…"

"So we need to be careful then," came out of Yua.

"What do we do if we see him out and about?" asked Yuuji. "Mom has told us to hold off for the time being, however, the longer he lives, the more he harms."

"But mom also said she has a plan for him, we don't want to disappoint mom either." Suiryu warned. But he agreed with Yuuji. The longer Kenjaku is out and about, doing his thing, the more people will die.

Perhaps this is what is an 'acceptable loss' to a dragon.

"We will keep our eye out for him, no less, but for now, let's get rid of the dragon slayers. If they are to be a distraction, let's show Kenjaku just how much they are to us. Right?" Suiryu called.

Toji stood up. "Well then, if you'll excuse me… I got to dust off some of my gear…"

"Toji, you're going to hunt them now?" Yua asked.

He smirked to her. "You think I am going to miss all this fun? I'm going to strike while the iron is hot."

He excused himself and left.

Suiryu smirked as he looked to Megumi. "You're old man really does care about you!"

However, he was silent and said nothing about it.

"Okay, I think that's all for the time being, everyone keep at least twenty feet away from Sukuna and Chusi's place…" Suiryu said as a joke. However, that was taken rather seriously… they did eventually up it to fifty feet worth of distance…

Toji went to the family estate.

When he arrived, Naoya was lingering about. Yet, the moment his eyes came upon him. They sparkled.

"Toji… you… OH! I'VE NEVER BEEN MORE PROUD TO DO THIS!" He got on the ground and prostrated. "You… I knew you were something more!"

"Quit kissing my ass, and get up. We got work to do."

Naoya sprung to his feet in shock. "Wait… WE? As in… you and me?" he asked innocently enough.

"You see anyone else here?"

Such an evil look came over the divine creature before him, just like he usually appears when he was human. "What do you need me to do?"

Toji smirked to him as he brought Naoya under his arm. "First, any other divine creatures…" he paused as he looked to the small garden in the estate, it was just a water feature before but, Toji saw it sparkling. "Let me guess…"

Naoya sneered a little. "I tried to refuse them, but they kept coming…" he muttered lowly. "They stay at a price, in return, they cannot be used as summons for divine users. At least, that's the deal. In return, I get more power. Not to mention some divine stuff for myself and good food. In fact, I'm stronger than I have ever been. Even more so than my old man!" he bragged.

Toji nodded. "Any of them act oddly?" he questioned.

He saw Naoya pause to consider the notion, but then he nodded. "As a matter of fact, there is one… reminded me too much of myself. He runs a small establishment there, a bar of all things. Information is gathered and traded there, no matter what it is sensitive or not."

"In that case, let's get a drink!"
