Jemma and Leo were walking alongside both Kabal and Kron. They were heading off to the site where the machine had failed as well as left behind destruction due to the malfunction and explosion that ensued. Looking upon the devastation created by Roxxon's failed experiment, Jemma couldn't help but feel empathy about the type of dread that Hannah had. From what Kabal had informed the two SHIELD scientists, the cause of this destruction was simply the result of a miscalculation, and the reports saying the device was fully functional. A single misreport of a few loose parts and minorly damaged parts was the reason for this. However, Hannah herself felt such a level of guilt for this, and the lives that were lost due to the explosion rendered her in a massive state of depression. It did not help that everyone who lived in the town close to the facility despised her for this mistake, causing Hannah to endure many attacks as well as death threats from the other townfolks. "I am kind of surprised that you have been able to keep Miss Hutchins safe from the other residents within the area. It is nice to see that Yunnan is not all that bad, especially due to our first encounter with her..." Jemma said aloud as Leo shared these sentiments.
"Most of it has been thanks to the natural intimidation that Baraka gives off as a Crocartan. Did you know that Crocartans used to feast on their own kind as a form of criminal punishment?" Kabal stated aloud as both Leo and Jemma were stunned by this information to Kabal's amusement towards their reaction, "Well, thank King Andrias for 'taming' the Crocartans. Yeah, they may have very brutal people. Yet that is due to their culture being that way for centuries before Andrias' rule. Definitely one of the perks the King gave us." The colonel explained with a sense of admiration for Andrias' willingness to form peace with the violent race of warriors.
"Wow... I can understand why people would be frightened by him..." Leo announced as the team arrived at the site where the Roxxon Company's failed project rested. Seeing the devastation caused by the malfunction was frightening, pieces of the building chard and were torn apart by the resulting explosion. The Tech Scientist of SHIELD swiftly placed down the case that he brought along with him. As he opened the case, the Scorpion Kytinn looked over to the contents and saw a set of odd devices.
Kron was a bit curious and confused by them as their small size didn't really give off the impression that they would be useful. "What are those things? How are they gonna help us?" Kron simply asked as he had no other idea on how to address them.
"These are a little invention of mine I made. We call them drones, basically, mini cameras which can take flight. However, I modified these with software that will scan the area and give us a digital copy of the location." Leo explained yet it was clear that both Kron and Kabal were lost with his explanation. With a small sigh, Leo started over and tried to explain in simpler terms. "What I am doing is taking a recording of the area with these drones. Though, for what I will be using this for would be better to show you when we have what we need." The Tech Agent tried again as he piloted the drones as they scanned the entire site.
Back with Coulson, Yunnan, and the others who had accompanied them. Coulson was overseeing Anne talking with Hannah as she was doing her best to keep her calm. After all, the SHIELD Agent knew that this process of confronting an Enhanced or Inhuman could pose potential dangers for not only those around the individual but also themselves as there are cases where the Enhance person doesn't know about their powers or just denies that they exist. The lack of control over their abilities or knowledge of them is what created the majority of worldwide panic when Jiaying attacked. "What are you talking about?" Questioned the axolotl after Anne explained about the possibility of her telekinetic powers, "You're saying that was made into some kind of freak because of the accident?" Hannah pressed further with a sense of horror in her voice.
"No, no, no! You are by no means a freak, Miss Hutchins." The Spider Heroine reassured to ensure she would not panic, "Just a little different with cool powers." Anne did her best to reassure Hannah with a nervous laugh. "I can relate to that as I have my own set of superpowers. They are spider-themed mostly, but they have allowed me to help others when they can't defend themselves. We only want to confirm this suspicion and if it is the case, help you control your new powers." Anne finished up with a smile that somewhat allowed Hannah to feel a potential way to make up for her mistake.
However, Hannah did not entirely believe this claim that Anne presented to her. To her, these events felt like someone or something had been tormenting her ever since the accident. "I appreciate your kind words, Miss Boonchuy... Although... I don't agree with you about this... Telekentic assumption." The axolotl expressed as she sank into her couch as dread once again consumed her. "I think I am being punished for what I failed to recognize... God is punishing me for what I did by sending demons after me..." Hannah explained as tears formed in her eyes, yet this testimony from Hannah brought up some concerns from Coulson and Yunnan.
"Demons? Are we talking about the one with the flaming metal snail?" Yunnan questioned with narrowed eyes upon the SHIELD Agent.
Though, Coulson shook his head at the claim. "Robbie Reyes may be possessed by a Spirit of Vengence, based on what he told us, but Robbie was not aware of the incident until you arrived. However, the possibility that it is a demon is still likely. Since both Monica and Quan Chi have members of Supernatural origins within their ranks of AIM." Coulson explained as he thought over the testimony of Hannah Hutchins.
As they pondered the information, the angry mob of various beings home to Amphibia began to grow violent and threw several heavy objects into the house. Their rage towards Hannah beginning to overshadow their fear of Baraka. As this began, Hannah was hit in the head with a large stone. She screamed out in pain from the impact and was bleeding as Anne began to do what she could to treat the injury. However, as the rage began to grow out of control, one of the SHIELD vans had a window broken apart and this caught the attention of Baraka as Agent X tried to keep the mob at bay. Soon, the van began to spark to life as the keys turned a few times. Once the engine was up and running, the van began to move towards the angry mob to kill them. "The Hell!? Everyone Move!" Baraka shouted as he rushed to intercept the van and managed to stop in place thanks to his levels of strength. As the chaos ensued, Hannah was growing more and more panicked as things outside just proceeded to get worse and some of the weapons inside moved on their own. Breaking the windshield, the weapons within the vehicle started firing upon the crowd until Baraka used one of his bone blades to cut the weapon apart. With that, The Crocartan used the bone blade to destroy the van's engine and shut it off. Once the vehicle's engine was destroyed, the van lost its functionality. However, Baraka was left confused as to how the vehicle started to act like it did and saw the shattered glass.
