Lucy was afraid of going to school the next day.
Luke didn't bother wearing nice clothes to school that day.
Everyone cheered, seeing Luke. The judges changed their mind and gave the best costume award to Luke after seeing his parade on TV.
Luke was shocked by this.
With Luna at the high school, she was still a bit worried about Luke.
"Luna?" Sam asked.
"I can't get that image of Luke out of my mind, Sam." Luna says. "I just can't…"
"I think we need to talk to Lucy. I'm shocked that she spilled fake blood on him…" Sam says.
Lucy entered class as Haiku turned her back on Lucy.
"Haiku?" Lucy asked.
"You're not a part of the club. Not anymore." Haiku said as Lucy looked ashamed.
In Ms. Salter's class, Luke sat next to Garrett.
"I'm so sorry. You deserved to win." Colleen says.
"Class, it's time to announce the group project for the month of November!" Ms. Salter says.
Brandy looks around at Luke and Garrett.
"This month's group project will involve you creating an informative banner. It can be a historical timeline, the Spanish alphabet, or just about a topic you choose. Remember, everyone in your group must contribute something to it. All the groups will be in groups of four." Ms. Salter says.
Brandy wanted to work with Luke.
"The banners are due on the week before Thanksgiving break. Now get in your groups and begin gathering ideas!" Ms. Salter says.
Brandy goes to Luke, who was with Garrett and Stephen. They began to brainstorm ideas.
"So, what should our banner be about?" Garrett asked.
"Luke's achievements." Angry Luigi says.
Luke shakes his head. "No. I honestly think our banner should be on the history of pageants." Luke says.
"Amazing idea!" Garrett says.
"I like it!" Stephen says.
"Pageants…my greatest weakness." Angry Luigi says.
Luke sighed and walked off.
At lunch, Lucy sat alone, sad. She felt like she lost it all. She sniffed. Sam finds Lucy.
"What?" Lucy says to Sam.
"How could you?" Sam asked. "He was your brother!"
Lucy was looking guilty as the whole school was looking at her.
"Yeah, how could you do that to Luke? I thought you cared about him." Tabby says, walking up to Lucy.
"I-I was selfish and I guess I just wanted to beat Luke for once…" Lucy says.
"Dumping fake blood on him was going to get you that win?! Well, surprise! Looks like it did!" Sam says. "Are you actually proud of yourself?"
"No…" Lucy sniffed.
"Luke is still humiliated." Tabby says.
"He almost didn't come to school today." Garrett pointed out.
"I'm so sorry…" Lucy sniffed.
Luke hid his face from everyone.
"And the main reason you wanted to win was so your precious club would treat you with more respect!" Sam says.
"Well, winning the school costume contest did the opposite. It made your precious club disrespect you because of what you did!" Tabby says.
That afternoon, Lucy left the school, completely ashamed of what she'd done. Yes, she won the school contest, but at what cost? It cost her a sibling relationship with Luke.
"I'm sorry, Luke…" she sniffed.
Lucy arrived home, looking at a picture of Luke. "If he ever forgives me, I'll never compete against him in anything like that again." Lucy says. "That's a promise."
"So you'll never celebrate Halloween?" Lisa asked.
"I'll still do that. Just no more costume contests for me." Lucy says.
Lucy then heads to Garrett's house.
Luke was up in his room at Garrett's house. Still feeling embarrassed and sad, he put the award away, then laid on his bed.
Lucy knocked on his door.
"What do you want?" Luke sniffed.
"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry!" Lucy sobbed.
"Do you know how long it took Leni to work on my Prince Charming costume?" Luke sniffed. "It took her approximately 3 weeks!"
"Luke, I'll do whatever you want, just forgive me!" Lucy cried.
Luke started to think. Lucy waits. After a while, Luke spoke again.
"Okay, you'll be doing a lot. And I mean a lot." Luke says.
"Like what?" Lucy asked. Luke started listing off several things.
Lucy nods as she is desperate for Luke's forgiveness.
The following week, at the school's Harvest Dance, Lucy was up in the middle school's gym rafters. She had another container set up as she knew the Harvest Dance King and Queen were going to be crowned soon.
Principal Ramirez appeared on stage once the band took a break.
"The results are in! This year's Harvest Dance King and Queen are…Luke Huntington and Miss Chalice!" Principal Ramirez announced happily.
Everyone in the gym cheered as the couple was crowned.
"Wait, why should I care? I never liked the school's Harvest Dance. Besides, I think this should be Rocky's birthday gift." Lucy says and blushed before Chandler pushed Lucy, causing her to fall on Luke. Luke shrieked as the gift was all over him. Garrett gasped in horror.
"No! Rocky's birthday gift!" Lucy says.
"Gift or plot to hurt Luke?" Luan says as most of Luke's fans ran over. Lucy ran out.
Chalice was trying to clean him up.
"My crown! My suit! Ruined!" Luke sobbed.
"That's it! On your birthday, Lucy's getting executed." Chalice says.
"That does it! She needs to learn a lesson!" Luna says and notices Lucy limping.
"LUCY!" Luna screamed.
Charity cleaned Luke up and fixed his suit and crown using magic. Luke smiled gratefully.
