It had been a while since the team had gotten the chance to go out together for even just a couple of drinks, by the time cases had wrapped up they were crawling home into their beds or taking the chance to spend time with loved ones. They were all looking forward to tonight and no way were any of them saying no or cancelling the plans unless it was really out of their control.

The team were gathering up their things to head out to their favourite bar, Maggie told them that she would be right back she was going to check if Jubal and Isobel were still joining them. The team still didn't know that Jubal and Maggie had been dating for almost ten months now, they had planned on telling the team a number of times, but something always came up that stole the opportunity.

Maggie smiled as she walked into the JOC as she saw Jubal standing up out of his chair, his face lit up when he saw Maggie walking towards him, "Hey, you guys getting ready to head out for drinks?".

Maggie walked close to Jubal but being careful not to stand too close to him since they were at work, "Yeah I told the team that I was just coming to check if you and Isobel are still joining us?".

"I'll check with Isobel what her plans are, I am going to be joining you guys, but I can't leave right now, I've a few things to go through with Isobel. You should go ahead with the team I won't be that long."

"You sure that you don't want me to wait?".

"I think that might give away our secret." Jubal smirked playfully looking at Maggie.

"Hmm that's true. Can't believe it's still a secret ten months in." She shook her head gently smiling "You can text me if you are going to be delayed much longer."

This was when they both hated that not everyone knew about them as they would have been able to kiss, hug or even touch hands but since no one other than Isobel knew they couldn't do any of that. Sensing they were both thinking the same thing Jubal touched Maggie's elbow as he had to step past her to walk towards Isobel's office and he spoke softly, making sure that Maggie was the only one that would hear.

"I'll be there as soon as I can baby".

Maggie smiled when Jubal touched her elbow, thankful that he had found a way for them to have contact, and her smile grew even more when she heard him call her baby. She looked over her shoulder watching Jubal walk into Isobel's office, feeling her heart flutter a little when Jubal looked back over his shoulder to see her once more before going into Isobel's office. She loved that looks like this from Jubal could still make her feel this way ten months into their relationship. She was pulled from her thoughts when she heard OA,

"You ready to go? What did Jubal say?".

Maggie turned to face OA, Stuart, Tiffany, Kelly, Elise and Ian who were standing ready to leave "Yeah I'm ready, he said that he would check with Isobel as they have to go through some things but that he will definitely be joining when they get finished."

They all made their way to the elevator to head out of the JOC to make their way towards the bar with Tiffany speaking "Hopefully they can both come out after their meeting as it would be nice to have so many of the team out."

The others agreed with Tiffany as they made their way to the bar, thankfully it was within walking distance of 26 fed, so they didn't have too far to go. OA, Maggie and Stuart had agreed to go to the bar while the others went to get them a table before they were all taken as the bar was already busy.

OA had placed the order when the bartender came to them, Maggie was talking to Scola until they were pulled from their conversation when they heard OA,

"Hey Maggie that guy across the bar has been staring at you since we came in, do you know him?".

Maggie looked across the bar and couldn't believe what she was seeing "Oh my God, Kyle!" Maggie almost squealed his name as she left OA and Scola and almost ran to meet the guy who was walking just as fast as Maggie to meet her halfway.

When they meet they both hugged each other as tight as was humanly possible with Kyle speaking "I wasn't sure if it was you or not and I'm guessing your friend caught me staring?".

Maggie chuckled as she pulled back to look at Kyle keeping her hands on his upper arms "He did, he told me someone was staring, and I recognised you the minute I looked across the bar. What are you doing in New York?".

Kyle led Maggie to the side to step out of people's way that were trying to get past them to get to the bar, "I'm here on a weekend trip with some friends but I didn't actually think that I would run into you while here. So come on tell me everything, how is life in New York?".

OA and Stuart were watching Maggie with the guy, it was obvious that they knew each other, and they knew that Maggie would join them again when she was ready. So, they took the drinks and headed over to the tables that Ian, Kelly, Elise and Tiffany had pulled together so that everyone could sit together.

Tiffany looked at OA and Stuart "Who's the guy that Maggie is talking to?".

OA handed out the drinks to everyone and he sat down beside Tiffany "The only thing I know is that the guy was staring at Maggie at the bar and that she knew him straight away and called him Kyle."

The team started talking among themselves laughing and chatting and enjoying their drinks, they didn't realise how long Maggie had been with the guy until Jubal was walking towards them and he noticed straight away that Maggie wasn't there.

"Have you guys lost one of the team already?".

Elise was the first to speak as she looked at Jubal "No, Maggie has been with that guy from they went to the bar as soon as we came in."

Scola jumped in when Elise was finished speaking "Maggie knew him and she's been with him since, they are over there dancing." Scola nodded his head to show Jubal where Maggie and Kyle were.

Jubal's eyes landed on Maggie straight away, she had her back to him, but the guy she was dancing with spun her around while dancing and she was laughing and looked so happy and carefree. He couldn't help the pang of jealously that he felt watching her that way with another man, he knew that Maggie would never cheat on him, but that didn't mean that he could stop the feeling of jealously that ran through him.

Jubal pretended that he got a message on his phone that he had to check and he took a few seconds staring at his phone trying not to look at Maggie and the guy again "Guys, I'm so sorry, something has come up, I have to leave, but you all have a great night and I'll get them to send a couple of rounds of drink your way from me and Isobel for missing out."

The team had no reason to doubt what Jubal was telling them was the truth as they had no idea about him and Maggie. They were disappointed that he couldn't stay as it really had been a long time since they got to just spend time together outside of work. The team told him they understood and thanked him for the drinks that he mentioned from him and Isobel.

Jubal walked up to the bar and ordered two rounds of drink for the team from him and Isobel, he couldn't help but watch Maggie with the guy she was with. She hadn't noticed that Jubal had come into the bar, Jubal was pretty sure that she hadn't noticed anything but the guy she was currently with, he hated that he felt jealous which is why he knew it was best for him to leave. He waved at the team as he walked away from the bar, smiling briefly looking at them as he then dropped his head walking to the door.

Kyle chose that moment to spin Maggie around again and she noticed Jubal straight away which caused her to stop when she saw that he was walking towards the door to leave. Maggie was unsure what had happened that he was leaving without coming to find her, that was when she noticed that he was opening and closing his fist while walking, a sign that he was really struggling and was trying to deal with whatever was going on in his head.

Maggie let go of Kyle's hand straight away and once again almost ran as she made her way to Jubal trying not to push people out of her way as she wanted to get to him as fast as she could. She reached Jubal just as he was about to push the bar door open, she didn't care about the team being there right now as she grabbed Jubal's hand to stop him.

"Hey, why are you leaving?".

Jubal stopped walking when Maggie grabbed his hand, but he couldn't look at her as he spoke "Because I can't stand in a bar and watch you dance with another man Maggie, it's just too much. The team said you have been with him since you guys got here which would have been almost an hour ago."

Maggie pulled on Jubals hand gently to take him out of the way of the door and to face her more. She squeezed Jubals hand gently to get him to lift his head to look at her which he thankfully did just as Maggie started to speak,

"Jubal, I am so sorry that I didn't notice that you had arrived, and I honestly had no idea that I'd been over there with Kyle for that long. Kyle is an ex-boyfriend from Indiana. I haven't seen him since I moved here."

"It's okay, you should go back out there and catch up with him, you seemed to be having a lot of fun, I don't want to stop that." Hearing he was an ex-boyfriend had the pang of jealously running through Jubal again no matter how hard he tried to stop it.

Maggie stepped closer to Jubal ignoring the fact that the team were probably staring at them "I'd be having a lot more fun if you were the one dancing with me. I'd really like you to meet Kyle though, he's a great guy, you'll like him."

Jubal raised an eyebrow hearing Maggie "You really want me to meet an ex-boyfriend that you have been dancing with for the last hour?".

Maggie looked at Jubal now that her panic had started to calm down as he wasn't trying to get out the door anymore, that was when she realised why Jubal still had his free hand clenched, only opening it a few times since she had caught up to him. "Wait, shit, Jubal did you get jealous when you saw me with Kyle, is that why you were leaving?".

Jubal wasn't sure how Maggie would react, but he wanted to be honest with her, he knew he owed her that "Not something I'm proud of but I couldn't help it when I saw you dancing with him and the way that you were laughing, you just looked so happy and carefree Mags."

"That's why you have been opening and closing your fist, you have been trying to deal with those thoughts?". Maggie ran her thumb across Jubals hand when she saw him nod and she lifted her free hand to Jubals cheek "Jubal, I know you trust me but the reason I was dancing so carefree with Kyle is because I know him and also because if you are okay with me introducing you guys you are more likely to be the one that he's hitting on."

Jubal was surprised when Maggie lay her hand so gently on his cheek in public but to be honest right now he forgot about the team being there as he was just focused on Maggie. He couldn't help the look of confusion and surprise on his face when he heard Maggie's words,

"He's gay? But I thought he was an ex?".

Maggie couldn't help the chuckle as she ran her hand from Jubals cheek down his arm taking his hand entangling their fingers "He is an ex, but I am the one and only girlfriend that Kyle ever had, think it's why we had such a strong friendship after."

Jubal squeezed Maggie's hands gently "I'm sorry that I got jealous baby, I really didn't want to feel that way because you are right, I do trust you and I know you would never cheat but I couldn't help the pang of jealously. It honestly wasn't what I was expecting to see when I walked in here."

"Hey, you don't have to apologise, I know that it being in a bar would have made this harder for you and I do get the feeling jealous babe, if I saw you dancing, laughing and being carefree like you said I was, with another woman I can't promise I wouldn't have walked up and slapped her." Maggie smirked playfully as she leaned in kissing Jubal softly but with love as she hadn't taken a drink yet. Breaking the kiss she lay her forehead against Jubals "So, now that you know the whole story babe, you feel up to staying for a while?".

Jubal was surprised once again when he felt Maggie kissing him, but it only took him a second to respond, he knew the minute that Maggie kissed him that she hadn't had a drink yet as she had been so careful about that during their relationship. He let go of one of Maggie's hands so that he could wrap his arm around her waist running his hand along her back slowly when he heard her question.

"You sure that you want me to hang around baby when I was clearly acting like an idiot."

"You're my idiot though". She smirked playfully as she leaned in stealing a quick kiss this time "And I'm more than sure that I want you to stay babe." Maggie couldn't and didn't want to stop looking at Jubal with the soft smile on her face "So you think that any of the team have passed out in shock, because we both know that they have been staring at us from I caught up to you at the door."

Jubal chuckled softly hearing Maggie calling him her idiot, he really did love this woman more than anyone realised, and they both knew he was going to repeatedly apologise for getting jealous. "Is it bad that I kinda forgot that the team were here? Getting to kiss you kinda distracts me." He smirked playfully as he was surprised yet really enjoying that Maggie was still standing this close to him even though she was clearly fully aware that there was no way that the team weren't staring at them.

"Oh, so it's all my fault?". She raised an eyebrow playfully looking at Jubal.

Jubal was about to reply to Maggie when Kyle, who had been walking towards them spoke, "Maggie I am so sorry to interrupt but I wanted to make sure that everything was okay with how quickly you ran away?". Kyle noticed the smile on Maggie's face and that she was holding Jubal's hand, he looked at Jubal "Ah you must be Jubal, I was hoping that I was going to get to meet you tonight." Kyle had a friendly and genuine smile on his face as he held his hand out to shake Jubal's.

Jubal was surprised by Kyle's words but he reached out his free hand taking Kyles offered hand and shaking it "You know who I am?."

"Oh, Maggie spent most of our time together talking about you and I could tell from her smile and the fact that she's holding your hand that you had to be Jubal. Unless you aren't and I've just busted her for cheating." Kyle smirked playfully looking at Maggie.

Maggie reached out her free hand slapping Kyles arm gently and playfully "Hey! You know me better than that, you know I wouldn't cheat, and can you also not make it sound so bad by saying that Jubal was all I talked about." She had a slight blush on her cheeks that would only be noticed by people that really knew her as being a little embarrassed.

"What? I'm just being honest, I asked how life in New York was and everything you told me included Jubal in some way." Kyle raised his eyebrow looking at Maggie "Maggie Bell are you blushing because you are completely in love with your boyfriend?".

Jubal couldn't help the slight chuckle when he heard Maggie groan, he gently pulled Maggie closer to him "I can see now why you wanted me and Kyle to meet, but you also know that you don't have to be embarrassed because I am actually flattered that you talked so much about me to a friend."

Jubal had to admit that it really did make him smile and so happy to hear that Maggie had talked about him so much to a friend, since not many knew about them this was really the first time that he was getting to experience this.

"Of course I talked about you babe, Kyle asked about my life in New York, you and the kids are now the biggest part of my life here".

"See now there's the sweet side to Maggie Bell that she tried hiding in high school." Kyle couldn't help but tease playfully, but he also couldn't stop himself from asking something that was on his mind as he looked at Jubal "You heading for the door to leave, was that because you saw me and Maggie dancing?". When Jubal nodded Kyle continued to speak "Maggie did tell you our history and why she's so relaxed around me?".

Jubal smiled as he looked at Kyle, he had to admit that he really grew to like this man when he wanted to make sure that outside of all the joking that Jubal actually knew the truth "Mags did tell me, and I do feel silly for getting jealous because I do know she would never cheat on me. Logic didn't really come into my thoughts at the time". Jubal joked playfully.

"Oh dam she's letting you call her Mags?". Kyle raised an eyebrow looking at Maggie "You better invite me to the wedding because you've never let a man that isn't family call you that."

"Oh god remind me why I actually thought you two meeting would be a good idea." Maggie groaned playfully laying her head against Jubals shoulder.

"Hey, it's not my fault that I'm getting to see a new side to you, I mean this is like high levels of PDA for you." Kyle couldn't help but tease Maggie, but he was also doing it to show Jubal that he was clearly someone that Maggie really was in love with. "And as much fun as this is I do have another question for you both. The people that I saw you with at the bar, you said they were your team, right? Do they not know about you two because they honestly haven't stopped staring since you two started talking."

Maggie looked over her shoulder looking at the team for the first time since she had caught up with Jubal and she couldn't help but laugh when the team tried to look anywhere but at Maggie and Jubal and pretend that they were in deep conversation together. She lay her head back on Jubals shoulder as she looked at Kyle, "They didn't know until now and I'm guessing that they are dying for us to go over there because they'll have a million questions for us."

"Don't let me hold you back anymore, you should go be with your friends, sorry I've taken up enough of your time."

Jubal shook his head gently hearing Kyle "You don't need to apologise, and you don't need to leave, you should come and join us, I'm sure that Mags would love for you to meet our friends."

"Jubals right, if you are sure that you don't need to get back to your friends right away I would love for you to meet our friends and I'm sure that they are going to have questions for you too because I know that my partner is dying to find out how I know you and was dancing with you yet was standing here kissing Jubal". Maggie laughed softly.

After Kyle made sure that they were really okay with him joining, the three of them made their way towards the table. Maggie still had her hand in Jubals, their fingers entangled which honestly surprised Jubal, as he thought that she might let go and pull away a little the closer they got to the team. He was however really good with her surprising him like this.

The team had been trying to hide that they were still staring at Jubal and Maggie but honestly seeing them walking towards them they thought was a good enough excuse to be staring at them. OA was the first to speak when he saw Jubal and Maggie holding hands,

"Holy shit they are holding hands."

"We did see them kissing, them holding hands I guess shouldn't really surprise us." Tiffany looked at OA when she spoke.

"Okay that is true, but Maggie has claimed from we met that she isn't an affectionate person in relationships, said that was something that she had always struggled with". This time OA looked at Tiffany as he spoke to her as the others were still watching Jubal and Maggie with the guy that they knew Maggie called Kyle.

Jubal, Maggie and Kyle were close to the table when Maggie stopped and squeezed Jubals hand gently before looking at Kyle "As your friend and one and only ever girlfriend" she laughed softly "I'm going to be nice to you and tell you that you might want to turn around or look away for a brief moment."

Kyle was about to ask why but then he clicked that Maggie was going to kiss Jubal and was giving him a heads up so it wasn't right in his face. Kyle laughed as he already started looking anywhere but at Maggie and Jubal "Just you know, let me know when you guys are done."

"Done with what?." Jubal raised an eyebrow looking at Maggie who now stepped much closer to him and that was when he realised what Maggie was about to do. He knew that she wanted to kiss him at least once more tonight before joining the team and having a drink. He couldn't help the large smile as he looked at Maggie.

"Hey why did they stop walking towards us?" Stuart asked, well anyone sitting with them.

Before any of them could answer him, Maggie ran her hand along Jubals arm up to his cheek as she leaned up kissing him.

Elise couldn't help but chuckle as she looked away to give them privacy "Well I guess they just give Stuart his answer."

"Yeah, not the answer I was expecting." Stuart laughed as they all turned away from them this time giving them some privacy.

Maggie kissed Jubal with as much love as possible and finally gave in breaking the kiss when she had to for air, but she only pulled back far enough to lean her forehead against Jubals as she caressed his cheek with her thumb.

"I had to kiss you properly just one more time tonight." She whispered against his lips as she placed small kisses to his lips.

Jubal smiled giving Maggie back every single kiss, it was small gestures like this from her that made him sit back and really take in the fact that Maggie Bell really was in love with him. That was something that still surprised him and probably always would.

"You know that I'm never going to object to you kissing me baby, and you know that I have zero issues with you drinking. I know that you and the team have been looking forward to these drinks for a long time."

Maggie did know that Jubal had no issues with her drinking but she did like that he reminded her of that, because she never wanted to do anything that made him uncomfortable. That was the last thing she wanted.

"I love you so much babe." Maggie stole one more quick kiss before she moved to stand beside Jubal again and looked at Kyle. "Okay it's safe for you to turn back around."

Kyle turned looked at Maggie "Dam girl, when you said that you were in love with this man you weren't lying." Kyle wasn't going to lie or hide the fact that he had heard some of what Maggie said, "Who knew that Maggie Bell had this side to her."

"I've been lucky enough to see this side to her for at least seven months of our relationship." Jubal had such a large genuine smile on his face as he said that. Hearing Kyle was really showing him that he was bringing out a different side to Maggie and one that he was glad people were getting to see.

Jubal, Maggie and Kyle reached the table but there was only two seats left, Jubal offered the chair to Maggie but she shook her head smiling squeezing his hand gently,

"I'm going to go up to the bar and get us a drink babe." Maggie saw that the team still had a couple of drinks each sitting in front of them, but she wanted to get Kyle a drink, and herself one as she hadn't actually had a drink yet and she knew that Jubal didn't mind her drinking and that things were good with them again.

"Do you want to sit with the team and I'll go up and get the drinks baby?".

Maggie raised an eyebrow playfully "You afraid the team will ask you too many questions while I'm at the bar?" She smirked playfully.

"Yes" Jubal laughed softly "But you should be the one to introduce Kyle to them and I don't mind going to the bar for you both." Jubal now smiled softly looking at Maggie.

Maggie knew that Jubal was right she should be the one to explain to the team who Kyle was, she told Jubal what Kyle was drinking, and she leaned up kissing him softly "Thank you babe." She smiled softly at him, she didn't have to tell Jubal what drink to get her as he knew her well enough to know what she wanted.

Maggie told Kyle to take the seat beside her and she took the once closet to the outside knowing where Jubal was going to sit when he came back. Maggie smiled at Kyle before looking at the team "Sorry you guys for just disappearing like that but I would like you all to meet Kyle, he's a good friend from back home that I've got to see since I moved here." Maggie went around the team introducing them one by one to Kyle.

"Okay, as your partner I have to ask, were you two just friends? Because you both danced like there was more history there." OA was never really shy about asking Maggie questions and the few drinks that he had already had just given him more confidence.

Maggie shook her head raising her eyebrow "Just because you can't dance with someone of the opposite sex and it not mean something does not mean we are all that way OA." She teased her partner playfully which had the others laughing.

"Avoiding the question just means I'm right." OA smirked playfully "So….is that also the real reason that Jubal said he had to leave?".

"OA no one is ever admitting you are right." Maggie shook her head laughing softly "And I have no idea why Jubal told you he was leaving, I wasn't here to hear that."

"Yeah, because you were busy dancing with Kyle and then kissing Jubal, I mean we all saw it you can't deny it." OA still had the small smirk as he spoke.

"And who said that I was going to try denying it?".

"Deny what?" Jubal asked as he appeared behind Maggie, and he handed one of the drinks to Kyle who thanked him straight away.

"I think I'm getting to see what Maggie is like with her partner, just reminds me of watching her with her brother back home." Kyle laughed as he looked at Jubal before back at the others.

"I think OA is treating Maggie like one of our suspects with all the questions he's asked her since she sat down." Tiffany joked playfully and laughed when OA nudged her arm playfully when he heard her.

"Jubal, you want us to go see if we can get another chair?" Stuart jumped in before OA could say anything in response to Kyle or Tiffany.

"I'm good Stuey thanks."

"You planing on standing the rest of the evening?" Kelly asked as he looked at Jubal, the others were thinking the same or wondering if Jubal really did have to leave.

Maggie shook her head laughing as she stood up taking her drink from Jubal and she stepped to the side letting Jubal sit down on her seat and she walked back in front of him and sat down on his knee wrapping her arm around his neck. It wasn't like this was their first time sitting like this. Kyle couldn't help the laugh that escaped as the team were sitting with their mouths open a little in shock.

"Sorry, but that is going to take a while to get used to." Elise was the first to find her voice as she looked at Jubal and Maggie waving her hand at them as if trying to explain why they were in shock.

Jubal laughed as he wrapped his arms around Maggie's waist so that she could get more comfortable "Have to admit my money was on OA or Tiff to find their voices first".

"Oh, don't worry I'm just saving my voice to ask you all the questions that are running through my head, like were Maggie and Kyle really just friends? Did you really have a reason to leave or was it because Maggie was dancing with another guy? And what the hell is actually going on with you and Maggie?".

OA spitting out the questions so quickly actually had the others laughing as he finally took a breath when he had asked all the questions. Maggie was relaxing more against Jubal as she realised that the team weren't completely freaking out about seeing her and Jubal together, they were more curious than anything.

Maggie laughed when she looked at Jubal and Kyle who both kind of shrugged at her letting her know that it was up to her what she answered and if she answered. Maggie knew that Jubal was never going to answer before her because he wanted to be sure that she was comfortable with whatever they shared and Maggie knew that Kyle knew she was a very private person even if she did trust the people around them right now with her life.

But, to Jubals surprise Maggie did answer OA's questions and when the team asked about how long they were dating Jubal, Kyle and Maggie got to laugh as some of the team choked on their drink realising how long they had been together but their favourite moment was when it was a competition between OA and Tiffany as to who squealed the loudest when they found out that Maggie and Jubal were living together.

The team did notice how more relaxed Jubal and Maggie were the longer the night went on, they got to see a little insight to their relationship and they saw how happy they clearly made each other and that was all that mattered to the team. Tonight was a night that the team weren't going to forget for a very long time.
