I know that meteor showers happen on rare occasions. I then had a strange feeling that something's not right. Something is really wrong. Then I got my eyes wide when I saw a big meteor coming down. Then there was silence.

Then booming was heard and something is really not right after all. Pilo looked at me and said, "Run Leah, run and don't look back, but keep running!" I grabbed my stuff and started to run.

I ran as fast I can and then I reached all the way to a cliff. I realized that there's no way out. The only way out is to jump, there's no other way. I then saw Aladar catching up and he has his lemur family with him.

I saw a monstrous cloud coming towards us and I said, "There's no other way out of this, we're gonna have to jump!" Aladar agreed with me and we jumped into the ocean floor

I didn't see the ocean and I had my eyes closed. I reached the surface and took a big gasp of air. I then saw two broken tree branches and grabbed onto them for dear life.

I then heard a voice, it was calling out to me, "Leah, where are you?" I turned and saw Aladar and I shouted to get his attention, "Aladar, over here!" Aladar swan up to me and we both reached for shore.

When we made it to shore, I was a little exhausted. We made it out alive. I looked around and saw that nature's plants were destroyed by the asteroid impact. I then turned back to Aladar's home. I then had my head down in sorrow. Aladar's only home that he ever knew, was destroyed. Gone. This left Aladar heartbroken.

I don't know what he should do now. I don't know what to do for now. Then I saw Suri coming and made a few calls to see if there are other survivors besides us. No response and she tried again and Aladar joined in.

I shook my head. I'm afraid it's hopeless. They're all dead. Then Suri began to feel sad. Pilo tried to comfort her. Then I heard Aladar saying, "Come on. We can't stay here." I realized that he has a point.

I then saw a flock of birds in the sky and I know that I have to help Aladar and his family if I ever want to get home. This is now or never.

I am feeling determined to get home.
