My name is Delia prior as my grandma told me . My grandma is one of the leader of dauntless but she doesn't know where my mom was going but obviously she is gone . I born in a city called Detroit and it is a war torn city which built for the survivors and their children.

Our ancestors created the five faction system to ensure the peace : Abnegation， erudite ， dauntless， Candor and amity. Each of us have our own purposes: abnegation provides us with selfless government leaders， erudite provides us with technologies and educated teacher ， dauntless provides us with protection from within and without， Candor provides us with leaders in law and amity provides us with counsellors and care taker . Without any of them， we can't survive .

When the children reach their 12，they have to choose a faction. They can either choose to leave or staying in their old factions. If they choose to leave ， then that's mean they forsake their parent permanently.

When I was 12last year ， I chose to stay in dauntless because I want to be dauntless forever . I love their freedom and chaos every day .

This year I am 13， however will I staying here or not depending on my rank.

"So today we congratulate you for those of you who finished the initiation and also those of you who made members." Alexander claps his hand

He is the mafia boss of dauntless who is only 40 years old . His son Joshua is standing beside me ， we are both 13 but he is a few days older than me.

"You can make it." Joshua holds my hand."I trust you."

The screen lights on and the rank is on too. I search for my name . I am ranked first. I can choose my job first and I don't know what should I choose. Joshua is second .

"Good job Delia." Linda wraps her arms around me."I am third ."

"Congratulations Linda ." I hug her

Joshua pats me on my back. He doesn't come any closer .

"So those of you who are out has to leave no later than tomorrow afternoon." Alexander announces

We hear crying and screaming. Living factionless is worse than dying . At least that is what I believed .

"So Delia and Joshua you guys can come choose your job first. Also I want to talk to both of you after the party." Alexander waves at us

I and Joshua walk toward the stage . Alexander looks at me seriously.

"Congratulation ， we have leadership opens for you." Alexander nods at me."I do trust your strength"

"Thank you ." I sigh."I want to be the ambassador ."

"Great choice ." Alexander gives me a thumb up

The second one is Joshua . Obviously, he chose the leader who will watch the training with me . We are great partners so I don't mind .

"Congratulation our new ambassador ." Maria hugs me. "I wish that you can be an instructor too."

"I don't know if that is possible." I giggle

We sit down beside each other . There are lot of cake and drink on the table . I take a cup of beer and start sipping. Joshua and Jeremy leave the room .

"Where are they going?" I wander

"Maybe going to fight each other . Joshua and Jeremy always fight each other at midnight." William shrugs. "I don't know why is that possible ."

"Joshua is an ambitious man ." Jenny sighs. "I like him though."

Jenny is quiet as a Candor . I think maybe that is the reason that she chose to leave them.

"Yeah I know that . He always do more than saying something" I nod . "However that makes him a good leader ."

We finish the cake . I and Joshua go to Alexander office . His office is the biggest over all. I and Joshua sit down beside each other . Alexander pace back and forth.

"Delia , you know that Benjamin already dead . We don't know why. However we do need an instructor for the transfers ." Alexander stops for a second . "I know being an ambassador is natural for you because your grandma was one before became a leader but that is also heavy duty for you. Beside you, I can't think anyone who is better than you."

"I will take it mr Pushkin . I will do as good as I can ." I smile at him . "Thank you for you to trust me with such important job."

"Joshua will watch the training together with you. Joshua, Delia as an ambassador has a greater authority than you so you have to listen to her okay?" Alexander stops for a second . "Well Joshua you can leave . I have to talk to Delia alone . Is that okay?"

Joshua leaves the room. I am alone with Alexander .

"The reason that I put you in the leadership is that Delia something is going to happen to you. Only put you as a leader can protect you." Alexander sighs .

"How do you know ? And what is that?" I feel tended

"My gut have been telling me again and again." Alexander lifts his head. "I monitor your aptitude test result. Delia, you are divergent . Especially the one who they are looking for ."

I am staring at Alexander . How can he knows my result? Of course he will know because he is the leader .

"I know that mr Pushkin. I will be extra careful with myself ." I clinch my fists

"I want you to administer the aptitude test tomorrow because I want you to find out as much divergent as possible before erudite find them. You will run most aptitude test for the abnegation kids because the biggest divergent population are from there ." Alexander pushes his glasses up. "Go to erudite with me tomorrow morning first."

"Okay sure sir . May I go now ?" I stand up. "Good night sir ."

I say good bye to Alexander . I close the door behind me . I lean against the rocket wall and breath as heavily as I can . I have to relief myself . Joshua throws me a key .

"This is your apartment key. It located above the glass building because you are in the leadership range ." Joshua snaps his finger in front of me . "Are you okay?"

"I am fine. I will go see my grandma now . Good night Joshua ." I start climbing the stair

Of course I am not going to see my grandma . I am going to the fear landscape room. I want to go over them again and again. I need to know will they change within the time past.

After climbing the ladder with Joshua for the capture of flag game , the fear of height disappeared and it replaced with fear of intimacy .

I enter the fear landscape room and open the computer .

"Hello Delia ."

"Grandma ?"

I see that my grandma gets up from the chair and close the computer

"Are you going through your fear landscape as well?" Grandma giggles

"Yeah , I want to see ." I nod at her

She beckons to me . I sit on the recline chair . She wears her coat first and zip it up to her throat. She then opens a black box to reveal the injection site .

"Relax ."

She injects my neck with the serums and she is tapping something on the screen . She has to change the program to mine .

"Are you ready?" She asks

"Yes I am ." I say firmly

Then I am gone no where . When I wake up, I am in a big room. There is only one bed . I only see that in Alexander room when we were young , he invited me to his house to play with Joshua .

"Delia ." Joshua comes closer .

He holds me into his arms . I don't resist him because in the deepest part of my heart maybe I do have feeling for him but it isn't romantic .

He kisses my lips . I have to fight him because this isn't real. He pushes me against the bed and he takes off his own shirt. He is built up with muscle and I wince . He kisses my neck .

I do feel disgusting and I kick him in his stomach and punch him in his face . That isn't real but I do feel guilty about it. However we dauntless , i shouldn't feel sense of guilty in my gut.

Everything disappear and the room goes dark . I get up from the floor . I walk forward . I know which one is this . The light appears at the centre of the room in a circle. Middle of circle is a boy without face . He is wearing abnegation grey robe .

"Kill him or I will kill you." A male voice appears

The gun appears at the same time in my hand. I grab it harder . It isn't real and I am dauntless . I shouldn't feel bad for this . I lift my gun and aiming at the boy. The boy has no face so I close my eyes and pull the trigger

The body shutters and falls on the ground . The fear disappeared and new one comes up. This is my last one if no new one comes up.

One man and one woman standing in front of me . They wear grey robe but I kind of feel that I know them. There are two girls and one boy who are standing over there .

Mark , the leader of erudite takes a gun and hands to me .

"Kill them or I will kill you." Mark smirks at me. "I know how ruthless that you can be ."

I can kill someone in a second but this time I don't know why my hands are unable to move . I shake my head and lift my hand . Without second thought, I pull the trigger

The light goes up. I am awake in the fear landscape room

"Good job, three fears then and three fears now ." Grand ma takes my electrode from me . "So you should go sleep now ."

"Yes grandma . Good night." I kiss her and leave the room .

I walk to my apartment. I open the door . A shadow past quickly. Someone is in my room . I chase after it but lost it in front of a table . I see a letter placed on the table .

I stop chasing and open the letter . It was written by my instructor Benjamin

"Dead Delia , I am sorry to leave you and Joshua alone . However there is more secret on you than Joshua and I wish one day we will see each other again."
