I sleep soundly that night in my apartment. So my instructor isn't dead but where he is that I don't know . Benjamin is the person who found out that I am divergent during aptitude test so he must be divergent as well or one of his loved one dead because of being one .

I believe more about the first one . Benjamin knows about divergent so well that I believe that it is because he experience the same symptom as divergent.

I wake up in the morning by the phone call. I have to meet Alexander at the train after 15 minute . I get up and I dress up in my black dress and black suit.

I sneak out of the room. Linda and Maria are going to their new job. They are going to patrol around factionless section of the city for stopping factionless to kill each other .

"Morning Delia ." Maria nods at me ."Good luck with your new job."

"Thank you . You too." I smile at them

I jog toward the exits . Alexander is already there with Laurence and Paul. They are both lieutenant for him.

"Good morning Delia ." Paul stands straighter ."Mostly late ."

"I am sorry. I was too tired last night." I lower my head

"It's fine Paul. First day is always the hardest ." Alexander coughs

The train comes after a minute . We all run and jump into the car . I grab the handle and sit down beside Laurence . Laurence is the only girl lieutenant that we ever have in dauntless

"Good job." Laurence gives me a thumb up ."I still remembered the first time when you get here， you can't even muster the force of a running train."

"Yeah but I am now better at it even I am not afraid of height before ." I shrug

"That means your fears have changed?" Paul wanders

I nod . I don't know how to explain this because not everyone's fears changed

"It was replaced by a new one ." I bite my lips.

"What is the new one about? May I ask?" Alexander raises his eye brows

"Intimacy." I shiver because I can't tell him the person is his son Joshua .

Everyone are staring at me . Intimacy is for abnegation not for dauntless . Maybe I am different

"That is for abnegation not for dauntless Delia . What is wrong with that." Laurence giggles

"I don't quiet know this Laurence ." I shake my head

The train comes in front of row of glass building. We are approaching erudite headquarter .

"We have to jump now ." Alexander finished his speech and then jump off the car .

I jump after him as well. I stump a few steps toward and gain my balance back. I sigh with relief . We walk toward erudite compound side by side but Paul and Laurence follow behind us

When we are closer to the gate， a soldier comes closer

"Mr Pushkin why are you here ?" The soldier is eyeing me ."With a new member?"

"She is the new ambassador for dauntless . I have an arrangement with erudite ." Alexander smirks."With mark."

Mark is the one who asks me to kill the family. The soldier turns around and speak with someone .

"Okay mr Pushkin， you and your ambassador can go." The soldier opens the door .

I follow Alexander in but Laurence and Paul have to stay behind . I walk behind Alexander and enter the compound . I haven't come to erudite before . They have big library and tons of the books.

They are always hungry with knowledge and information and I wander how can they search for it. Now I understand . They have books and those computers to use for search

"Hey Alexander ." Mark walks toward us ."I heard about you Delia . You ranked the first."

"Hey mark. Nice to meet you here ." I shake his hand

I am dauntless born so I shake naturally. He let my hand go so quickly.

"So Delia is my new ambassador . I will be here to show her how to deal with relationship between dauntless and other factions so when next time she comes ， she should be fine by her self ." Alexander looks at me ."I know that she will learn fast."

"As you said that I can trust Delia as your representative ." Mark folds his arms

"Yes you can ." Alexander says confidently.

Mark looks at me for a long time . I look at him as well as long as my eyes don't move . We get into his office and sit down .

"I am here to talk about issue of divergent." Mark says straightforward .

"Divergent? So you are starting your conspiracy plan?" Alexander scoffs.

"You see that divergent are someone who can resist the serum which I invented so which means that they can't be control." Mark stops for a minute ."I want dauntless to help me ."

I shiver . If he is planning to kill divergent ， that means I am one of them as well. I believe this is what Alexander anticipated and the reason which he put me into the leadership.

"What can we do and what will you give to us ." Alexander frowns

I want to throw up. Alexander holds my hand and squeezes it. It is how Joshua tries to calm me down when the initiation was still going on .

"After the abnegation is shutting down ， then we will be able to give dauntless a better place ." Mark taps his fingers on the table."I need an army from dauntless."

"I don't think that we will corporate . Dauntless and abnegation are best friend as far as I know . We will not launch an attack on our alliance ." Alexander stands up.

"You think that is up to you? I have all the access to the simulation record base on the contact that I have with the previous mafia boss ." Mark laughs ."Do you know how did your previous instructor dead?"

I clinch my fist . If he knows it， then that must mean he did that.

"I killed him." Benjamin raises his arm."He is also divergent and I know what is he protecting away from us ."

He is eyeing me . I try to stay calm. I know that he may already suspecting about my brain .

"Delia you may go now . You have to run a test." Alexander comforts me

"But sir ." I put my hand on my belt where the gun is at.

"I will be fine . The soldiers in here all belonged to dauntless . If he is dared to hurt me ， then he will be dead ." Alexander shakes his head

I stand up and walk out of the office . Paul and Laurence give me a worried looks .

"I will be fine ." I try to calm them down.

The soldiers are nodding at me because I am the new leader of their faction . I get to the train station. The train is here already . I jog faster and haul myself into it.

I stand beside the door and watch the city smear pats me . When I reach the school， it is just two minutes before the due time .

I walk into the testing room quietly and start to open the computer . I tap a few time on the screen and extend the electrode out. Right before the first student comes ， I finish preparing for the test

"The first student is here ."

"Come in please ." I answer

The door opens . The first student is Peter from erudite . He is wearing a blue shirt. He seems nervous and I can't blame him for that

"My name is Delia . I am the examiner today." I say . "Don't be nervous . Come and sit down . Please make yourself comfortable ."

I take off my shirt and reveal all my tattoos . He sits on the recline chair .

"Why the snake ?" He asks me

"Oh I expect erudite to read me like a book but never expect any questions to come up." I shrug . "The flower represents envy so snake is the protector to protect me away from. It."

"Right good interpretation." Peter smiles faintly.

I give him a cup of liquid . It has no color or smell

"What is it? What is going to happen to me ?" He is nervous

"It developed by erudite and you don't know it? I am sorry . I can't tell you." I giggle . "Just trust me ."

He dumps the drink into his mouth . I put electrode on his head and also mine . I tap the button on the computer and Peter is fully gone .

I look at his reaction toward the cheese and the knife . He supposed to choose one of them to tell me is he belonging to dauntless or amity. However he didn't choose neither .

That is a sign that he is awake during the simulation. A sign of divergence . I am nervous for him. He then lowered himself on the floor

Sign of erudite for where he comes from. Then when the girl appears , his reaction tells me that he can also be abnegation, dauntless and amity. Sometime selfless and bravery are no difference .

I tap series of code again and I have to put him on the bus. Luckily the result ruled out Candor pretty well but also contradicted it . What if he is telling the truth that he doesn't know the man for real. Clearly Peter is divergents

He wakes up coughing. I bite my lips hard .

"Excuse me , I have to leave for a minute ." I stand up

I leave the room and walk to the reporting room. Any irregular record will be reporting here

"I have a system problem . So I have to verbally reported the result." I talk to the woman who is working there .

"Whose result is it?" The woman says

"Peter from erudite . His result should be erudite ." I nod at her

The woman taps series of word and then she lifts her head

"Done ."

"Thank you."

I return back to the room. Peter is shaking .

"Are you okay?" I sit down. "I am sorry to worry you but your result is inconclusive ."

"What ? How is that even possible ?" Peter screams

That was also my reaction when Benjamin told me that

"It is possible but extremely rare . At normal situation, the system will tell me a result by ruling out the rest . However in your situation , only one has been ruled out."
