(In the bad guys' hideout...)

The chief scientist had discovered of the defeat of another Hybrid, at the hands of the wilder of the key of love. The moment he received the news, he broke the coffee cup that was on his table.

"Damn it!" he complained, "If the boss finds out, he will kill me… I better take care of the last emblem myself…"

"Don't worry, I'll do it..." said a voice behind him. She was a woman.

"You are hired as a mercenary for humans, not for Pokemon," the scientist responded, "This is another league..."

The murderer put a knife to his neck in less than the blink of an eye.

"That's why you will help me... the boss will pay me a million if I kill at least, one chosen one. You just give me powers and it will be enough...

"Okay, okay... but if you don't make it, he'll kill me"

"I have killed 149 people, a child will not be the difference"

"Well then get ready: I have one last special DNA sample... a Froslass"

"Okay, give me that and the target location."

"There it is" he replied while typing on his computer. On the large monitor he tracked the last chosen boy, heading towards the East Sea.

(Meanwhile...)

Luke was flying (in his Tranquill Superior form) against the wind, heading towards the East coast. As he flew, his hanging emblem beat against his chest with the flow of the air, and his head reflected on it:

"You are sincere with others... but are you sincere with yourself?"

"Sincere with myself …" he thought, "How curious, my horoscope once told me that… what does it really mean to be true?"

As he thought, the wind became stronger and stronger as the air filled with the smell of the sea, which meant that he was closer to the coast. The next second, he could visualize an immense sea surrounded by cliffs which was lost in the distance on a somewhat grayish horizon. The waves danced on one side with force (if there were ships in the Pokemon world, they wouldn't last long in that ocean). Perching on some rocks, he dedicated himself to observing the surroundings.

"How shady," he thought, "Master Ace tells me that these environments are usually warm and calm, like a summer paradise. But everything is… cloudy and cold, what is happening here?"

"Help!" someone shouted. From the tone of his voice, he sounded like a child.

Quickly, his eyes found the problem: on one side of the cliffs there were ledges on which someone (possibly Pokémon birds) had built several nests. In one of these, there was a scared Unfezant birdie, as a pair of Murkrow and a Honchkrow were trying to harm it. Without wasting time he launched himself in the direction of the harassment.

"Go away, this territory belongs to us now!" Honchkrow told him, while his Murkrow subordinates hit the birdie with their wings.

"Leave him alone!" Luke shouted, "Whirlwind!"

Flapping his wings, Luke shot down the two Murkrows and flung them onto the other ledge. The Honchkrow quickly realized the situation and prepared to fight the hero.

"Dark Pulse!" he attacked.

Fortunately, Luke was quite agile and easily dodged that attack. However, as he was about to counterattack, the Honchkrow moved quickly as well and attacked him from behind.

"Night Slash!"

Luke this time couldn't avoid the blow and was knocked down, causing him to fall. Luckily, he became aware of his situation: he needed more level. He held the Pokephone to him and it glowed.

"Tranquill evolves into…Unfezant!"

With his Ultra form, he quickly regained his composure in the fall and, with a somersault, managed to regain stability just in time and only getting a couple of feathers wet in the water. Quickly, he returned to the fight.

"Double team!" He used Honchkrow, making images of himself to confuse Luke.

"Razor Wind!" the chosen one attacked.

Luke's attack managed to hit each of the copies and hit the real one. The Honchkrow was distracted by the hit, which the Unfezant took advantage of.

"Air Slash!"

With a good slash and impact, Luke knocked the Honchkrow over and it plummeted to the bottom of the cliff, where the waves were claiming a victim. But the chosen boy had honor and grabbed him with his claws, lifted him up and carried him to the ground, with his two Murkrow minions.

"Go away and leave the chick alone!" Luke yelled at them.

The two Murkrows seem to have understood well: lifting the unconscious boss off of him, they flew him back in a westward direction. For his part, Luke returned to the chick who was still a little scared by the strangers.

"Fear no more," Luke consoled him, "The bullies are gone."

"Thank you very much... sir..." the chick replied.

"My name is Luke, what is your name?"

"Theo"

"Well Theo... why are you alone? Where is your family?"

The chick did not speak immediately, but looked away from him as if he was trying to hide something.

"I got separated from the flock," Theo explained, "But it started to get cold, a storm caught me and separated me from my parents. I returned to the old nest and I have stayed here since yesterday."

"Oh wow…" Luke responded.

There was a minute of silence in which Luke felt uncomfortable: he must continue his mission, but leaving a chick alone... would eat away at his conscience.

"Can you stay with me, sir?" Theo asked him precisely.

"It's okay…" Luke told him, "I'll have to take care of you until we find your family."

Just then, both he and Theo's stomachs growled.

"Okay... do you want something to eat? I have a couple of berries, but I'm sure I can get more."

Luke offered him one of the berries that had arrived. Now, apart from his mission, he had a responsibility.
