They first meet at Pokey Oaks Kindergarten. Ms. Keane brought in a new kid. 'Whatever.' Buttercup thought. They get new kids too often, and by the end of the day they fade into the background.

"Why won't you come on and introduce yourself!" Ms. Keane said in a cheery tone. Buttercup glanced over, watching steadily as Bubbles & Blossom were both standing straight up and focusing their eyes on the door.

Out from the door came a boy– his hair dark & spiked with softer green eyes to contrast. He seemingly loved green, considering he was wearing a black & green striped t-shirt. Buttercup grinned as Bubbles whispered to her 'He kinda looks like you!'

The boy spoke up, his voice harsh. "The name's Butch. My brothers aren't here." He said, talking almost like an Italian mobster. He was sorta funny in that way.

"Thank you Butch! You can sit down at whatever table you like." Ms. Keane told him politely, her eye giving a slight twitch when he stuck his tongue out at her. Buttercup smirked, no one had the gall to be rude to Ms. Keane. Mostly.

Her eyes watched Butch as he sat down to sit with Mitch & His gang. Maybe she was gonna like this guy. Blossom then smacked her to get her attention. "Hey, school isn't just for play you know!" Blossom told her sister.

"Sure, killjoy." She took one last glimpse at Butch as he seemed to get along with Mitch & His gang well. She turned back to watch Blossom working on her chinese & Bubble's drawing a pretty picture (how come she got to ignore her work?)

Buttercup sighed and got back to her math.

It was only recess when she got to see him again– at least, but it wasn't fully positive. Ms. Keane had already let the kids out to play at recess and she saw Butch & Mitch playing together.

She hovered toward the conversation– not making it seem like she was purposefully seeking Butch out, she wanted to seem cool to the newbie. She hung by the monkey bars overhearing Butch & Mitch's conversation.

"You should totally meet my brother!" Butch told him.

"Why, he sounds kinda like a wimp." Mitch said. He didn't mean ill intent as they seemed to be getting along just fine. But something in Butch snapped as he decided to throw a punch; but before he could do that, Buttercup stepped in.

"Hey, hey, woah woah woah! What's the big idea?" Buttercup exclaimed as she pushed them away from each other. Butch's eyes widened as he realized something. "You're like me!" he said, proceeding to fly into the sky– shocking Buttercup.

"Do- how did you get those?" Buttercup questioned as she flew up to Butch. "Born with 'em." Butch says casually.

"Now let me pummel this guy!" Butch says, flying down to Mitch who instinctively covered himself with his hand. "Can't let you do that." She said, holding back Butch.

"Make me." Butch says as he tries to escape from her grip. 'I like this guy's attitude.' Buttercup thinks and pushes away the thought in her mind and chalks it up to his rough demeanor. As she continues holding him back, Blossom & Bubbles come in with Ms. Keane.

"What did you do?" She says to Butch with a raised eyebrow. "Try to pummel this guy for calling my brother a wimp." He responds, no shame.

"It's only your first day too, young man! I think you're gonna have to be expelled just like your brothers." Ms. Keane shakes her head as Butch lowers himself, the girls making sure he doesn't hurt Mitch again.

'That was a hell of a first impression.' Buttercup thinks, and goes back to her playground activities.

The next time they meet is freshman year.

Buttercup couldn't wait to grow up, she wanted to party, drink, and do whatever the adults do. But she wasn't an adult. This was yet a stepping stone in her path to become the most awesome and cool adult– maybe her dreams were a little childish, whatever. It's true. But all she could focus on was getting to highschool. It'd been embarrassing but she'd been dreaming of this day for years, despite only barely keeping up with her studies. It was more-so the implications. Like the fact she was a highschooler now. She already had some prestige being a superhero, but now she could be the cool teenage bombshell every guy wanted.

They walked out of the car and walked into the entrance of the highschool. Blossom was giddy as ever, taking in the fresh school air and practically frolicking around the entrance. Bubbles was just happy to be there, grinning wide and looking around for any of her friends. Then there was one. Buttercup.

She left herself on a blank stare for a moment, without realizing it; she glanced over at one of the most important people to make the first day. Well, it wasn't just one person; three people, actually.

A redhead, blonde, and dark-haired man. She thought she recognized the blonde from somewhere, nudging Bubbles to look at the boy with her. "Wasn't that your crush?" Buttercup asked and raised an eyebrow. Bubbles flustered, her face looking like a tomato.

"In kindergarten!" She squealed, completely embarrassed. "How'd you remember?" Bubbles asked Buttercup, still flushed as ever. "Thought I recognized him," she put her arms behind her head and cocked it.

"You're confident! Hey wait a second, isn't the black-haired one Butch?" Buttercup paused. "Butch?"

"The one that got expelled on the first day, he was kinda cute." Bubbles said. "But not as cute as your blonde boytoy." Buttercup teased and pushed her toward the three boys. But it allowed Buttercup to marinate on the thought. Butch did mention his brothers, didn't he?

Buttercup pushed it off only slightly, looking up at the boy. He wasn't all that different from his kindergarten self, still the obsession with the color green as well as the black spiked hair. He had this more mature look, different than his brothers; but it wasn't just mature– it was different. He seemed to be the middleground, as he stopped Brick's flirting attempt with Bubbles as her and Boomer spoke, but also allowed himself to get a peak at her ass every once in a while as well. Ugh, gross.

She's reminded why she hates types like him, they can't help but harass her sisters. Bubbles wasn't stupid; but she clearly didn't notice it. Blossom was less so, but was the one to make sure they didn't make it out unscathed, still not killing them as it would be a betrayal of justice. But Buttercup? Buttercup didn't get these types. It was her instinctive need to protect Bubbles that led to them having their first meeting (again.) The circumstances were different, but they fell through the same hard line.

"Hey, just wanted to say stop looking at my sister's ass." Buttercup told Butch, completely ignoring Brick as Butch was the worst offender.

"Make me." This was the second time he said this line in regards to her. Her eyes sat and she thought honestly. "Hate to interrupt this lovers quarrel, but I see a redhead at 5 o'clock so I'm gonna have to squeeze by you guys." Brick told them.

"You chicken?" Butch asked her. Buttercup narrowed her eyes and slapped him in the face, alarming Bubbles & Boomer who were getting on pretty well (not noticing that Boomer had stolen her wallet.)

"That's what I like to see." Butch grinned and cracked his knuckles. "If it's a fight you want, a fight you'll get." Butch said– his grin wider than before. Buttercup grinned, fully ready. "Let's take this outside." Buttercup told him.

"Inside, it's more fun this way." Butch told her. Buttercup stuck up a middle finger, receiving the same response back. Before Butch could land a hit, his punch was blocked by Blossom.

"What are you two doing?" Blossom asked, her tone of voice scathing.

"This dude was staring at my sister's ass. I had no choice." Buttercup shrugged and told her sister. "You could've done it in non-violent ways. Or outside." Blossom said, especially ticked off with her sister's behavior.

"Don't let HIM off the hook." Buttercup told Blossom, looking over at Butch– he was doing some sort of sick and cute puppy schtick that clearly wasn't working. "Dine." Blossom stated. She went up to Butch and told him one thing. "You will not interact with me or my sisters during this school year unless we so need to. This includes your brothers." Boomer and Bubbles frowned as they took their hands apart from each other.

"Fine." Butch said, picking his ear.

Buttercup grinned, thank god she wouldn't have to see that annoying fucker again. What a terrible last impression. At least, hopefully last.

Buttercup grabbed Butch's face and pulled him into a kiss, her intent was want. Their mouths interlocked, it wasn't like how most first kisses should go– it wasn't sweet or awkward. It was passionate and honest. Their mouths hungered for more as they took a second to breathe.

"You sucked." Buttercup told him, the background of their kiss was through slightly less than sober confessions. "I don't swing that way, personally." Butch told her, Buttercup slapping him lightly.

"I meant highschool." Buttercup told him, reminiscing on their first meeting– second, rather. "You stared at my sister's ass and then wanted to fight me." Buttercup told him.

"I'll be glad to tell you I haven't stared at her ass in at least a week. I'm improving." Butch told her and Buttercup rolled her eyes. "Shut up. Be honest with me, did you like me?"

"Maybe kindergarten, I didn't really get to know you until I was like fucking 19. Probably because of that rule your sister put in place." Butch told her.

"It was deserved." Buttercup laughed.

"You want to talk about that kiss more?" Buttercup asked him. "Nah, I'd rather do it again." Butch grinned mischievously and pulled her back in.
