Goten, the second son of Goku, had just entered high school along with his friend Trunks, the son of Vegeta.

Two of the last remaining Saiyan and two of the most powerful beings in the throughout the multiverse. That being said, their sons were no pushovers. Or rather, they didn't want to be.

Their fathers had trained themselves so far that they could now tap into the power of angels and gods. Not to mention, Gohan, the older brother of Goten, had now acquired a new beast transformation.

Trunks was submerged in deep thought while on his way to meet Goten, thinking about ways to get stronger. Trunks came up with the idea.

As he reached Goten, he said, "Hey Goten, I was wondering if you ever thought about surpassing our dads."

"Wow, where did that question come from? Well, I mean, think about it: your father has Ultra Instinct, my dad has Ultra Ego, and Gohan has his new beast form. And we only have plain old Super Saiyan."

"And so what are we supposed to do about it? It'll take years to get to their level."

"Listen, I have a plan. Just come." with me after school

8 Hours later.

Trunks and Goten are seen in a rocky field, seemingly where Goku and Vegeta first fought.

Trunks held a bag, flipping it over and pouring out the contents that were inside of it.

What came out seemed to be seven glowing orbs, orange in color and numbered 1 through 7 in stars.

"So let me get this straight, we're gonna summon Shenron to ask him for a way to get stronger?" asked Goten.

"That's right," said Trunks.

"I'm sold, let's do it," said Goten.

Trunks put the orbs in a pile before yelling out the words, "Arise, Eternal Shenron, and grant my wish!"

The orbs started to glow, the sky turned dark, and from seven mystical orbs, a dragon rose up from the ground into the sky. It was green in color with red glowing eyes.

"I am Shenron. Tell me your wish and it shall be granted," said Shenron.

"We wanted to know if there was a way to get stronger without going down the same path as the three Saiyans known as Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan," asked Trunks.

"There was once a Saiyan legend based off the tales of the Saiyans. There was once a Saiyan that could stack Super Saiyan on top of his Oozaru form. The Saiyan went on a rampage for what seemed like days, and no one could stop him until the Saiyan god, Yamoshi, was able to gradually calm the raging Oozaru. It is said that when the golden Oozaru is calmed, it takes on a beastly transformation comparable to the Super Saiyan God at the end. State your next wish," replied Shenron.

Trunks and Goten looked at one another and nodded, and Goten spoke, "Our next wish is to wish back our tails."

Shenron's eyes emitted a red glow, and tails popped out of the lower backside of the two teenage Saiyans. "Your wish has been granted," said Shenron.

"We don't have one," said Trunks.

"Well, if that is all, then I shall take my leave," said Shenron. And the seven mystical orbs flew off in different directions.

"Now we need somewhere to train," said Trunks.

"Now I have a plan," said Goten. "What about the Hyperbolic Time Chamber?"

"Goten, that's genius," replied Trunks.

"Last one there to the lookout has to color Vegeta's hair pink," said Goten.

At the lookout, Dende was wondering why the Dragon Ball was being used when Trunks and Goten landed.

"Hi Dende," said Trunks.

"Hi, Trunks," replied Dende.

"We were wondering if me and Goten could use the time chamber," asked Trunks.

"Yes, sure, but why?" asked Dende.

"We just wanted to test something out," replied Trunks.

"Follow me," said Dende.

Once Goten and Trunks entered the time chamber, they saw the familiar vast void of nothing stretching as far as the eye could see. After the two got settled, they started their one-year training.

After creating the artificial moon, Goten and Trunks started to transform into giant monkeys, but neither of them knew how to control the Oozaru state and began fighting. This lasted a day before the artificial moon eventually ran out of energy.

Trunks was the first to wake up, wincing at his wounds before eating a Senzu bean and walking over to Goten and giving him one of the rehabilitating beans. Goten jolted awake before standing on his feet just to take another try. This time it took an hour for the two to gain control of the Oozaru state. After they gained full mastery, they moved on to stack Super Saiyan on top of the Oozaru form, and controlling the golden Oozaru form was even harder than the normal Oozaru. This took willpower, but for this, they had to remember themselves, their families, and most of all, why. And then it happened, the spectacular transformation they were looking for.

They were covered in red fur, their hair grew, and they were noticeably much more powerful.

"It's incredible," said Goten.

"This power is amazing," replied Trunks.

"So what do we do now?" asked Goten.

"We train beyond, but first we should name it. What about Raffle Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 4?" suggested Trunks.

For the remainder of that year, they stayed going in and out of the form until eventually mastering it, until the point where they could stay in the form with relative ease.

Goten and Trunks exited the time chamber in their Super Saiyan 4 state, ready to take on the world. Goku and Vegeta were at Korin's Tower when they sensed two huge power levels coming from above.

"You feel that, Vegeta?" asked Goku.

"Of course, Kakarot. How could I not? Let's go check it out."

"Right, Vegeta. Grab on," said Goku as Vegeta grabbed Goku's shoulder, and they Instant transmission up to the lookout.

There, they stumbled upon the two demi-Saiyans. Goten and Trunks were thanked by Dende, and out of nowhere, their fathers materialized via Instant Transmission.
