After the short, but sharp, conversation between the chipmunks, Brittany and Alvin run off to find the others.

Simon meets Eleanor and Jeanette after a fanatical moment.

- These guys really like us - says Simon to Eleanor and Jeanette.

- Very much! I'm impressed - says Eleanor.

- Brittany must be loving being famous again - says Jeanette, until she's interrupted by the arrival of Brittany and Alvin.

- Guys... - Brittany says, slightly tired.

- Oh, we were just talking about you - says Eleanor with a slight laugh at the end.

- Not now. Where's Sebastian? - Brittany asks.

- I... I don't know - Jeanette replies.

- Why? - Simon asks curiously.

- Haha, what a funny story: Brittany and I, we were talking to some chipmunks here and..., we kind of got into a band battle.

- What? - Eleanor says, shocked.

- What do you mean? - says Jeanette confused.

- Alvin, explain what's going on - Simon says, also confused.

- Hehe, I told you it was a funny story.

- I'm not laughing - Simon rebuts, seriously.

- We'll explain everything later, but where did Sebastian go? - Brittany asks again.

- I don't know, he's probably on his plane - says Eleanor.

- Zeppelin - corrects Simon quickly.

- I know, Simon.

- What are we waiting for? Let's go after him! - Alvin says, hurrying up.

- Guys, I got free ice cream! - says Theodore in the distance.

Soon, the five chipmunks are running through the city after Sebastian, who they assumed was on the zeppelin. Brittany accidentally bumps into Theodore, knocking over his ice cream and staining some of their clothes.

- Theodore! - Brittany says nervously, then starts running again.

Theodore, upset at having lost his ice cream, decides to follow the others.

- Yeah, it's all mine. It was a little gift from the queen - says Sebastian, showing off by talking about his airship to two girls. Both girls are impressed and giggle with interest.

- Blondie - says Alvin, who has just arrived.

- Oh, look at you.

- We've got a little problem.

Sebastian, confused and thoughtful, dismisses the two girls.

- Girls, we can talk another time. All right?

- Okay, hihi.

- We'll keep an eye out hihi - say the two girls as they go to another corner. Alvin is struck by the beauty of the two girls.

- Hey, introduce me later - Alvin says, referring to the girls.

- Oh Alvin, really? - says Eleanor, indignant.

- Sebastian, do you know a band from here? With four chipmunks? - Brittany explains to her cousin.

- Oh, there are lots of four-chipmunk bands: Big Time Crush, Hawaiication, HotStop...

- Nice, but... there are two blond chipmunks and two brunettes. And there are 2 chipmunk boys and 2 chipmunk girls - says Alvin, trying to help.

- I remember that one of them is called Amy - says Brittany.

- Oh, haha. You must be talking about the "Teenage Dreamers".

- Is that them? - Jeanette asks her sister.

- I don't know, it must be - Brittany replies.

- Guys, what's going on? - asks Theodore, who has just arrived and is promptly ignored.

- But hey, and these "Teenage Dreamers" are all that? - Alvin asks.

- If you mean the talent, yes! They are "The Talent"! They've won Band of the Year five times!

- And how long have they been around? - Jeanette asks.

- 5 years.

- My God - says Eleanor in surprise.

- But why are you asking about them? - Sebastian asks.

- Well, let's just say... - Alvin tries to explain, again slightly ashamed.

- Alvin got into a band battle - says Simon bluntly.

- What? - Sebastian says.

- What? - Says Theodore.

- Hm... basically, it is - concludes Alvin.

- Band battle?! - Theodore asks, still incredulous.

- Yes, Theodore- Brittany replies briefly.

- For when? - A startled Sebastian asks.

- For... tonight. - Says Alvin.

Sebastian's eyes widen. - So you have to cancel now!

- Wait a minute, but what about our reputation? - Alvin asks.

- To hell with it!

I mean... pardon the vocabulary. But you can't do that! Go after them and call off this madness (says Sebastian trying to get Alvin there by pulling him by the arm), take advantage of the fact that nobody knows about it yet...

- Guys! (Says Amy with her band through a microphone in the city center) I'd just like to announce that: Tonight, we're going to have a very special concert for all of you on the Blue Moon stage! (The citizens are very excited by the news)

And what's more... Alvin, along with his band and the Chipettes, will be joining us in a battle of the bands! (Everyone is impressed and very excited; Sebastian and the other 6 chipmunks are terrified)

See you soon! - Amy drops the microphone and leaves with her band.

Everyone in town then goes into raptures.

- Oh, I hate her - says Brittany angrily.

- Oh no - says a very worried Sebastian.

- It's okay guys, we just need to... practice a song in less than a day, it shouldn't be that hard - says Alvin.

- Er... do you even have instruments? - Sebastian asks.

- Oh, we have some at home! - Eleanor says hopefully.

- Look... if you're are really good, you don't have to be afraid.

I mean, I would be, but... - Sebastian's speech is soon interrupted by Alvin:

- Ahh, there's no time to talk, we have to go home now!

- You're right, hurry up! - Sebastian says, calling all the chipmunks to get on his zeppelin.

A few minutes later, the zeppelin is in the air and everyone is scattered around the vehicle as before, but this time, Simon and Jeanette are in the cockpit accompanied by Brittany. Simon is looking out of the window.

- Cousin? - Brittany asks thoughtfully.

- Hum? What?

- You know, those chipmunks..., from that band...

- Teenage Dreamers.

- Yeah. One of them said that we only became famous because we "broke the rules". Do you know what that means?

- Well, rule number one in this place is: Never! Never!

Under no circumstances...! Make contact with humans.

- Wow, why? - Jeanette asks, frightened.

- Because they're hostile creatures, they don't treat other species the way they treat themselves, they're selfish! And everyone who's ever tried has never come back! (Jeanette and Brittany get very scared) Well, at least that's what I've been told.

- ..., that's fine - says Brittany, bringing the subject to a close.

In the next scene, a few minutes later, Dave is seen on the phone with someone.

In the conversation he seems to be accepting something, he also thanks the person on the other line a lot, and then they end the conversation. The chipmunks, after a short journey, enter Dave's room.

- Dave! - Alvin is the first to enter, smiling and looking pretentiously at Dave.

- Guys, where were you? I wanted to talk to you - Says Dave, in a tone that's not so scared, but not so calm either.

- We were... - says Simon, looking at the others for some kind of help.

- In the park - says Jeanette without thinking, which causes a strange reaction in everyone.

- In the park? - Says Dave, confused, since chipmunks rarely go to the park.

- It's, like, in the plaza out front. We wanted to go for a walk, it's been so long - says Jeanette rather anxiously, laughing nervously.

- Okay. (Dave says, still a little confused, but then changes the subject) Guys

... I've accepted the job!

- Ahh, you swear? - says Jeanette

- That's wonderful, Dave! - Says Eleanor

- That's it, Dad! - Says Alvin

Everyone rushes to hug Dave, and they all start talking at the same time, ecstatic at the news and commenting on Dave's future new life.

For a moment, the subject that kept the chipmunks restless seemed to have disappeared from everyone's mind...

Except for Alvin:

- Yeah, very nice Dave, haha.

Oh hey, do you know where our instruments are? - asks Alvin, discreetly changing the subject.

- They're in the garage.

- Thanks Dave! Shall we go, guys?

The rest of the chipmunks soon get situated and become worried again. They all head towards Alvin and follow him into the garage.

- Wait a minute, where are you going? - Dave asks puzzled.

- Ahh Dave, it's just...

I suddenly missed playing - says Theodore, giving a false context while the others have already left the room. Dave stares at everyone leaving, still confused.

- ..., All right, I'll make some waffles - says Dave, ignoring everyone's strange attitude and going off to find something else to do.

After a good few minutes, the chipmunks are in the garage, practicing and thinking of songs for their big performance.

The chipmunks are together looking for songs, while Alvin is next to Simon and Theodore, who are trying to remember how to play their respective instruments.

- All right, send an F minor in there - Alvin says to Simon, with a step-by-step music book in his hands.

Simon takes a few seconds to remember, but soon plays where he thinks the right notes are.

- Is that right? - asks Alvin, also struggling to remember the right notes.

- I don't know, it's you who should know.

- Oh, I think it's right. Here, hold on, I'll help Theodore - Alvin hands Simon his book to practice.

- 5... 6... 7...

8! - Brittany is trying to get her sisters to remember some choreography.

- Jeanette, you turned right - says Eleanor, turning her neck the other way.

- But I thought we turned to the right - Jeanette rebuts, a little confused.

- No, not in this dance.

Dave opens the door to ask a question about the waffles.

- Jeanette, we've run out of strawberry syrup, do you want grape syrup or cherry syrup?

- Cherry.

After Jeanette's answer, Dave was about to close the door, but Jeanette interrupted him.

- No! Wait, grape.

Once again Dave turns around, until...

- No, no! Hum...

Oh, I'll go and have a look - Jeanette then leaves the garage and quickly goes into the kitchen to choose the syrup for her waffles.

- I still don't understand where this desire to play again came from - comments Dave, taking advantage of his stop in the garage.

- It's just that we've been called into a batt... - Theodore was answering Dave's question until Alvin quickly covered his mouth.

- What, Theodore?

- Hum, what Theodore means is: The boys and I wanted to reminisce about the old times and... have a competition between us, right Eleanor? - Brittany explains.

- Yeah!

Dave still doesn't seem 100% convinced.

- Hmm... is that true Simon?

- Of course, Dave.

Dave stands still for a few seconds, staring at everyone until that answer seems to make sense, until he gives in.

- Okay, if you say so - Dave leaves the garage.

Simon sighs and says: - That was close.

- Theodore! What were you doing? - Alvin asks in disbelief.

- Aren't we going to tell him?

- Of course not!

- But... he's our father.

- My cousin was very clear: We can't tell anyone - says Brittany.

- Yeah, you'll have to hold back, Theo - says Eleanor.

- Okay - replies poor Theodore sadly.

Jeanette rushes back to the garage:

- Okay, I'm here.

- How are you boys? - Brittany asks, noticing that the group doesn't seem to be working so well.

- Yeah, apart from Simon getting his notes mixed up and Theodore forgetting how to use a drum set, we're fine- Alvin replies sincerely.

- I haven't forgotten, I just don't remember the right time to use each drum.

- It's just a drum set, it just hits anywhere - Alvin rebuts.

- It's not like that. Each part has to be played very well to create harmony, otherwise it becomes a musical mess.

... Ian said so - says Theodore. Alvin makes an uncomfortable face after Theodore says the word "Ian".

Simon asks: - And what about you?

- Well, it's not very easy to dance without a song to go with it- says Eleanor, because the song to be performed hasn't even been chosen.

- We can play one of my compositions - says Jeanette.

- Jeanette, it's a show, with lights, guitars, and your music is soooo slow, and only talks about romance, and flowers, and butterflies - says Alvin, imitating a female voice as he says the last five words.

- We don't have to play any original music, do we? Because otherwise we're screwed - asks Eleanor.

- Look, they haven't said anything, so I don't think so - says Brittany to her sister, while trying to remember if the Teenage Dreamers have mentioned anything about it.

- Hey guys, the waffles are ready - Shouts Dave from the kitchen.

- Yay! - says Theodore excitedly, getting up and running to the kitchen.

- Look, I was thinking: What if we played that song we played at school? The first time we sang it together? - Simon suggests.

- "We Are Family"? - Alvin asks.

- Yeah, that one.

It's good and everyone likes it. I think it would be a good choice.

- Yeah, but those chipmunks have probably never heard it, since they HATE human stuff - says Brittany.

- Even better! They'll think we created it - says Alvin excitedly.

- I'm with Simon. I think it's a good idea too - says Jeanette.

- Okay - says Brittany, unable to think of another idea.

- Then let's go! - Alvin says this as he's about to play a few chords, until he's interrupted...

- Guys, aren't you coming? Theodore's going to eat everything by himself like this - shouts Dave from the kitchen again.

- No way! - Alvin shouts, running out of the garage to protect his waffles.

- We'd better take a break, I'm hungry - says Eleanor, rubbing her belly.

- Okay, but we can't delay. Sebastian will pick us up in just a few hours - says Brittany, looking worriedly at the clock in the garage.

A few hours have passed... all the chipmunks have eaten and are ready to return to the "chipmunk world" and begin their ambitious presentation. Dave is bored at the moment, sitting on the sofa watching TV. All six chipmunks are holding the clothes they're going to wear for their performance. They try to sneak up behind Dave, but... Theodore accidentally steps on a toy phone.

- Ouch! - Expresses the clumsy Theodore. The phone plays a short tune, something that usually happens when you press a specific button on the phone. All the chipmunks stand awkwardly and quickly look at Dave to see if he has any kind of reaction.

- Guys? - Dave asks, not realizing that the chipmunks were there.

The six chipmunks are lost, running around in circles, until Alvin quickly hands Brittany his clothes. He suggests that the girls go through the front door quickly to see if Sebastian has arrived yet. Simon and Theodore also hand over their clothes.

After straightening up and turning away, Dave hears the Chipettes leaving and sees his three children on the living room floor, staring at him like they're up to something.

- Where are you going? - Dave asks.

- You know... a friend from school called us to watch some movies - Alvin invents.

- But... now?

- Uh... yeah - says Theodore, falling for the lie this time.

Dave, lose yourself for a few seconds: - I... thought we could spend some time together, (Alvin sends Simon and Theodore running outside while Dave looks around) since I'm moving out in a few days.

- Oh, what a shame! But we're going dad, you can't even do anything at seven o'clock at night, can you? Haha, but don't worry, tomorrow we'll spend the whole day together! - Alvin walks through the door without even giving Dave time to say anything.

Dave sighs and says: - All right - with a slightly melancholy tone.

Some time had passed..., the chipmunks had already taken their zeppelin trip with Sebastian to the chipmunk world and at this very moment they were getting ready for the concert. They were backstage while hundreds of chipmunks were already in the audience looking forward to the show.

- And... good evening ladies and gentlemen! (The audience starts shouting) I'm Milo, your favorite presenter! - Says Milo, a sub-celebrity chipmunk, known for his movie reviews and his work as a presenter. He's a chipmunk with dark brown skin, indigo blue eyes and he's wearing glasses, a red and black suit with a green scarf.

- And I'm Pamela, "PamPam" to the more intimate. It's such a pleasure to be welcoming you here today for this super last-minute surprise performance! - Says Pamela, another sub-celebrity chipmunk, famous but not as famous as Milo; known for her work as a side-show presenter and her healthy diet videos. She's a brown-skinned chipmunk with brown eyes and is wearing a long white velvet dress.

- Of course, Patricia! - Says Milo.

- Haha, it's Pamela darling - says Pam, correcting him still in good humor.

- It doesn't matter, everyone's here for Teenage Dreamers and Alvin and the Chipmunks! (The audience goes wild again)

... And the Chipettes.

- The performances are going to start in less than 10 minutes, so why don't we wait and follow the Ladies Sunshine as they make their entrance for the evening? They're so... cut...

- Okay, okay, you're winding up too much, here come the Ladies Sunshine! - says Milo.

The whole audience cheers and claps. After Milo and Pam's introductions, they both leave the stage and give way to the "Ladies Sunshine", eleven little chipmunk girls children who are quite young, to give an opening performance of an alternative ballet.

Theodore and Jeanette are standing in the aisle, watching the adorable little girls perform. They both say, "Aww!", because they think they're cute.

- I've never seen chipmunks of this size before. They're so cute! - says Jeanette, delighted.

- Guys, what's up? What's the situation? - says Alvin, who has just arrived with Simon, curious about the number of people watching them.

- ..., What? - Jeanette asks, taking her time to answer because she's so caught up in the presentation.

- Alvin, there are so many people here! And I've heard that they're recording everything to be shown on TV - replies Theodore.

- What? - Alvin asks, slightly tense.

- If they take even a simple battle of the bands so seriously, imagine a real concert - adds Simon.

Alvin then decides to check out the situation in the audience, and as he goes closer to the aisle, and sees that large number of chipmunks, he says: - Damn! So many people!

- They're not technically people, Alvin- says Simon, correcting him.

- Thanks, genius. Digger wasn't lying when he said this place was huge.

- Relax guys, everything's going to be fine. What are the odds, Simon? - Jeanette asks.

- Hum..., well, considering that we're playing in a totally new venue, against a band we've never heard before, without even knowing if it had to be an original song and only rehearsing for less than a day.

I'd say about 8%, being very generous - says Simon.

- 8% of 10? - Asks Alvin, smiling and still trying to be a little hopeful.

- 8 out of 100 Alvin - says Simon with a cold expression.

- Ouch - Express Alvin, a little more frightened.

Meanwhile, Brittany and Eleanor are getting ready in the dressing rooms.

- Wow, this outfit is a bit tight, isn't it? - says Eleanor, referring to her dress, which is the same one she wore to her performance of "We Are Family" at school.

- It was you who chose these clothes. I told you so - says Brittany, almost lecturing Eleanor.

- Oh, I think I've put on a bit of weight - Eleanor comments.

- Hi girls! - Amy, one of the members of the rival band, knocks on the door and comes over to say hello.

- What do you want? - Brittany says quite bluntly.

- Nothing, I just wanted to wish you luck! And to say that: Losing isn't so bad. I mean, I have no place to speak because I've never lost anything, but since I know it can happen to you, it's good to be prepared.

Brittany glares angrily at her, and, thinking carefully about what she's going to say, says: - Is it over?

- Yes, it is. I'm not trying to throw negative energy in your way, I'm just trying to prepare you since I bet the bands you've sung with have never been of a relevant level. Good luck, you'll need it - says Amy, ending the conversation and leaving the dressing room.

- Now I understand why you wanted to do the battle of the bands - comments Eleanor, still incredulous at Amy's attitude.

- She's so..., (Brittany grunts), this is the day we're going to get them off that little pedestal they think they're on.

- I'm with you, let's take them down! - Eleanor says, undaunted.

Ladies Sunshine's performance is over and Pam and Milo are on stage again to announce the first band to play.

- Hello again, everyone! - Pamela says excitedly.

- Their performance was beautiful. I'd even comment more if we were here to applaud them, but since we're not..., we're now announcing the first band in this little competition...

Come on, I'll give you the honors - Milo puts down the microphone and says that last sentence directly to Pam, allowing her to announce the first band.

- Oh, thank you. It's th...!

- Okay, thank you. The Teenage Dreamers! - says Milo, cutting Pamela off and announcing the name of the first band in the battle of the bands; the audience goes wild. Milo and Pam leave the stage and make way for the band to perform. Pamela glares angrily at Milo as they leave. The stage goes dark...

A beam of light is turned on just for Rosy Anne, who is sitting rather elegantly in front of a piano. She begins to play several notes gracefully for a few seconds, before a beam of light is shone on Little Johnny, who begins to play his drums. Soon afterwards, all the lights are turned on and Chris and Amy, the lead singers, enter the stage from the aisles, performing acrobatics before the music starts. They then, waiting, begin to sing an original song in the modern jazz style, with lots of high-pitched vocals and background choirs; the instrument originally played by Rosy is replaced by playback and she leaves her position and moves closer to the edge of the stage to sing with Chris and Amy.

At the end, the performance comes to the end and the audience goes wild, applauding the performance fervently.

- Thank you, thank you so much! - says Amy in gratitude; Rosy Anne blows kisses and Chris waves to the audience.

- Wow, they're really good - says Eleanor, with a chill in her stomach; Theodore nods.

While the six chipmunks stare at everything, Little Johnny takes advantage and throws himself onto the stage and is greeted by a "sea" of chipmunks. A mysterious man in a black suit and hat arrives at the end of the performance and joins the audience.

- Guys, I've found some dancers who have committed to help you - says Sebastian, who has just arrived in the aisle with 6 dancers.

The Teenage Dreamers were leaving the stage. Pamela and Milo return to announce the next band.

- And now... - Pamela said.

- Oh my God! It's us - Eleanor exclaimed.

Alvin tries to keep everyone under control by saying: - Shh! Calm down, we've trained, everything's going to be fine.

- It's... (Pamela paused for a moment, thinking that Milo might interrupt her, but, looking as if nothing was going to happen, she continued...) Alvi...

- Alvin and the Chipmunks and the Chipettes! - Milo says. The audience goes wild, eager for the first presentation they'll see of the so-called chipmunks in their world. A random chipmunk from the audience shouts: - Alvin, I love you!

The chipmunks prepare themselves in their positions, all with their heads down and waiting for the light, which had gone out, to come on before they begin their performance. Sebastian goes into the audience to watch the show with a better view, next to the empty seat, near the mysterious man in the black robe. When the performance begins... they repeat the same steps they had done in the school performance, the background dancers also managing to guide themselves.

Everything seemed to be going very well... until the microphone Simon was using stops working. He tries to fix it, giving it a few little slaps, and then looks at the backstage crew worriedly; Alvin improvises and sings his part in the meantime; soon afterwards, Simon's microphone is fixed and he is able to sing again.

The performance was then back to the same lively pace as before, the mysterious chipmunk in the audience let out a little whistle; Jeanette ended up unbalancing herself and pushing one of the dancers; some of the audience looked at each other awkwardly.

- I'm sorry, I'm sorry - says Jeanette rather embarrassedly to the dancer.

While everything was getting back on track..., Alvin's guitar started to go out of tune; he tried to continue playing, but the sound wasn't very pleasant. He then looks at the backstage crew, who make a hand gesture telling him to "get rid" of the situation. Alvin then throws back his guitar and goes to the front of the stage and tries to interact with the Chipettes in a way that looks rehearsed. The Chipettes play along.

At the end of the performance, no other improvisations or "accidents" happen, and the chipmunks manage to end their performance. The audience claps.

The 6 chipmunks, along with the background dancers, run to the opposite aisle to where the Teenage Dreamers were standing. Milo and Pam enter the stage again, carrying a small envelope. They wait for the applause to finish.

- And the winners are... - Pam was about to announce; both bands were very anxious.

...

...

...

The Teenage Dreamers! - Milo and Pamela announced together, looking at the envelope; the audience screamed euphorically.

Alvin's band was stunned; the Teenage Dreamers entered and thanked the applause.

- Wow, you wrote that envelope fast, didn't you? Haha - said Rosy Anne, surprised and excited.

- There's nothing written here, darling, we just wanted to make it more professional - said Milo. Then he and Pam step aside and hand the microphone to Amy.

- We wanted to thank you so much for being here today, and also Alvin and the Chipmunks, and the Chipettes for making this possible. (Brittany rolls her eyes) It's been an honor to have them here, and be very welcome here in our world. Let's have a round of applause! - Amy concludes her little speach, and the audience starts to ovation again.

- Yeah... it's over - says Jeanette, upset.

- Hmm - agrees Alvin, a little angrily.

- Don't worry guys, it could be worse - says Theodore, trying to cheer them up.

- Well, we don't have a trophy for you, but we've got a deal with Purple Beans cafeteria, and what we can offer you is a coupon for 1000 chipcoins for any order - says Pamela.

- That's it! - says Milo.

- Free coffee?! - exclaims Theodore.

- Oh no - says Eleanor.

Alvin turns away from the others and looks at the opposite side of the stage: - Calm down..., calm down, my dear brothers and company, this isn't over yet.

- What do you mean, Alvin? - Simon asks confused.

- Haha, if they think that one little performance is enough to finish us off, they're very much mistaken - says Alvin again, turning his gaze to the others.

- So, what are we going to do? - Brittany asks.

- My friends...

... Get ready for a rematch! - concludes Alvin.
