Chapter 11 - My Biggest Mistake

Vic

There I was. Alone once again in my crusade to avenge my parents. This cult had officially gone too far this time. First, they try to attack Johnny's house…twice and now, they gravely injure Cassie's best friend. According to the update I got before sneaking out, Jacqui was recovering and would eventually be fine. Pretty upset about the loss of her arms though. Honestly, anyone would be. But that wasn't really my focus right now. I was scouring the area for any and all cult related activities. I'll be honest, doing this was one of the riskiest things I could do at the moment. First off, I only did it whenever Cassie was asleep. She typically got home around 9 and we would go to bed an hour later. Then I had to make 100% sure Cassie was asleep (even putting an air construct decoy of me in the bed just in case) before sneaking out. This was way easier to do when we were at her place as Uncle Fujin liked to burn the midnight oil practicing in his basement dojo. Then I had to make sure I was back in the house at a reasonable time. This was usually around four or five in the morning. So far, Cassie and Uncle Fujin were none the wiser. I had done this earlier already. Cassie was asleep at her house and it was around one in the morning now.

My small skirmish against my father's murder reinvigorated my brutality against any and all foreign beings to my city. I left messages to the cult written in demonic blood daring them to challenge me. I strung undead cultists from street lamps. My online fan base was starting to get scared of me to be honest. Good. Leave me the fuck alone. More often, I'd be getting approached by drunk college kids asking for my picture or an interview for internet clout. I punched some persistent jock douche so hard in the stomach one evening, I think I made him crap himself. Currently, I was standing on the edge of a rooftop scanning the block below. I happened to be in the Arts District of the city. Apparently there was some kind of gala earlier this evening and I found myself eyeing all of the wild outfits the attendees were wearing. If Cassie was here…she and I would roast just about every person down there. Oh man. Cassie's going to fucking kill me if she found out what I've been doing. Same with Kimi. Already had to avoid her earlier. She and Kurtis were having dinner at a local Indian place. Almost positive Uncle Fujin had taught her how to sense others. Odd because I never thought Kimi had any powers. She inherited more of my dad's genes much like I did with my mom. Sure I looked like my dad, but I shared more of my mom's talent and kindness…even if I wasn't being so kind now.

Suddenly I felt a presence behind me. It didn't feel familiar but it definitely wasn't on the friendly side. In fact, I felt two other people that had joined me on this roof.

"Told you that was him," a male voice said from behind me. I quickly formed my air dagger, turned and chucked it in the voice's direction…but there was no one there. Before I could do anything else, a hook sword was thrust under my neck and the same voice said "Sloppy." I looked to the left where I came face to face with a man dressed in a long black overcoat over combat fatigues colored black, red and gray. The lower half of his face was covered by a red bandana but I could tell this douchebag was smirking. Deciding it was better to have my head still attached to my shoulders, I lowered my hands. In turn, the guy lowered the hook sword.

"And you are?" I asked in the disguised voice.

"Wouldn't you like to know," he responded with a thick Spanish accent. I raised my eyebrow.

"That's…why I asked the question bud," I said.

"Then allow me to answer," the first voice said. Now that I heard it again, it sounded male and had an East Asian accent. A new man came into view. He too was wearing black, gray and red colored combat fatigues. Across his chest, where his heart should be was a cybernetic looking thing that covered most of that side's pectoral muscle and his entire arm. He looked…Mongolian to me. Sporting a thin mustache and a soul patch and a completely bald head. The man acknowledged me with a nod.

"Greetings vigilante," the man said. "You may address me as Hsu Hao. This is my superior, Mavado." The hook sword guy gave me a curt nod. Hsu Hao and Mavado? You can't be serious. There's no way a mother named her child "Mavado."

"Codenames?" I asked.

"You catch on quick," Mavado answered and folded his arms. I wanted to punch that fucking smirk I know he had off his face.

"Cut the crap Spaniard," I said in an irritated voice. "Who are you people and what do you want from me?"

"In order, we are a private military corporation known as the Red Dragon who have a long standing feud against the Black Dragon," Hsu Hao explained. "Have you heard the expression, the enemy of my enemy is my friend." I narrowed my eyes.

"Go on," I said.

"We know of your pursuit against Zayne Jarek," Mavado said. "He joined us shortly after being dishonorably discharged from the US Military and then betrayed us to form his own clan." I raised my eyebrows under my sunglasses.

"Dishonorably discharged? Was that before or after he was stationed in Fengjian?" I asked.

"After," Hsu Hao responded. "From what we know, Jarek deserted his post when he ran off to America with some farm girl." I formed a neon dagger in my hand and held it up to Hsu Hao.

"Choose your next words very carefully," I warned through gritted teeth.

"Right, like I'm scared of a little knife," Hsu Hao said and rolled his eyes. I tossed it in the air, made it explode in a neon cloud and then punched him right in the face as he was disoriented. Before I could do anything else…Mavado bitch ass…and his dumb fuckin hook sword was under my neck again.

"Do that again," Mavado warned. "I dare you."

"Fucking tell me what you want with me and I won't have do," I snapped back. Hsu Hao had recovered from my sucker punch and pulled out a folder from one of his pockets.

"I assume you know desertion is a capital offense so Jarek needed a job. So he joined up with us shortly after moving to America. We're not associated with any government so that's why he was accepted. He had the code name of Z-Man during his time with us and wore a mask that concealed his identity almost all the time. That farm girl he was with didn't like that. She especially didn't like it when Jarek started to become obsessed with some Outworld being named Onaga after using our resources on Outworld customs," Hsu Hao explained.

"Onaga?" I asked.

"Yes, vigilante. From Outworld," Mavado said. "There's another world beyond your own." I rolled my eyes. I knew of Outworld and some other place called Seido from Uncle Fujin. I also clearly know what the Netherrealm is…

"No really?" I said to Mavado. "I know what Outworld is numbnuts. However, I do not know who Onaga is."

"The Dragon King of Outworld. Thought to be a legend locked away by General Shao's ancestor under Mount Tsaagan. Jarek believed that if he could find him and unleash him, he would take over both this realm and Outworld hence why his cult is named after a black dragon," Hsu Hao explained and handed me the folder. "Take this." I hesitantly did so. The folder contained information on Jarek as well as an old military photo of him alongside his Red Dragon information. It matched the man I saw at Camelot Arena, minus the burned face courtesy of my mom. He wasn't unattractive but I could just tell he was one of those sleazeball types just by the photo.

"From what I heard, the farm girl's brother, a wind ninja or something, was able to sneak her away from right under Jarek's nose after he betrayed us. He spent years trying to track them," Mavado added.

"Why?" I asked.

"That farm girl was pretty dense. Believed everything Jarek told her up to a point. She eventually wisened up to his lies and how much of a dick he really was once she found out about his Black Dragon Cult. But Jarek still wanted her as his bride. To show off to everyone that he was able to get anything he wanted," Hsu Hao added. My anger flared but I kept it at bay this time by flipping to another page in the folder. This one made my eyes widen in recognition. Hsu Hao smirked. Apparently this photo is what he wanted me to see. It was a high quality reconnaissance photo of a younger Jarek, giving a speech to his minions. I saw Kira among the crowd alongside Kobra and that Tasia woman but there was one more I recognized. A man with long hair tied into a ponytail, wearing a metal face mask and a pair of goggles. My hands began to shake in anger. Even with the mask on his face, I knew who this was.

"Kabal," I growled. Kurtis Stryker's best friend…knew the man who killed my father! THAT FUCKING SON OF A BITCH! I WILL FLAY HIM ALIVE!

"Yes. Kabal," Mavado said. "Former high profile member of the Black Dragon Cult. Now a respected police officer."

"Where. Is. He," I demanded angrily. Hsu Hao again grinned.

"I thought you'd never ask," he said slyly.

Later. Outside Kabal's House.

I was staking out the address Mavado and Hsu Hao had given me. I knew it was the right place because the word "Kabal" was on the mailbox. I just needed to confirm if Kabal was actually home because right now, there was no car in the driveway of the 2 story home. Lights were on and I could see movement from where I was hiding. I saw a goth woman stand by the window a few times looking up and down the street. Must be Kabal's wife. I'm pretty sure he's married. Suddenly a car pulled into the driveway and very faintly I heard a child's voice yell "Yay! Daddy's home!" I clenched my fists in anger. What I wouldn't give to say that again. Even if I was almost 30 years old. This Kabal fucker was part of the reason my father was dead. He was friends with Jarek at one point. Plus, why the hell are young kids up at almost two in the morning?! Must've heard the car. As soon as I saw Kabal kill the engine and step out of his car, I threw a neon dagger at him. I intentionally missed and shattered his driver side window. He jumped in fear and looked in my direction. I watched his eyes widen in fear when he saw me.

"What the fu-" was all he managed to get out before I charged at him and punched him in the face with all my strength. He spun a full 360 degrees and landed on the ground. While he was still dazed, I lifted him into the air by the lapels of his jacket (using the wind to assist me).

"Talk," I growled. Kabal shook his head and then seemed to recognize me.

"Hey, aren't you supposed to be on our si-AHH!" he shouted as I threw him away from me over the hood of his car and landed on the ground again. I ran over to see that he had recovered from this blow quicker than the other one and was already on his feet.

"TRY AGAIN!" I snarled and readied another dagger.

"What the hell do you want?!" Kabal shouted and started to move towards the side door to the house. His wife was currently standing in it. Apparently she had seen the whole thing go down.

"Carlos?! Is that the Thrash guy?! You told me he was on your side!" she said. Behind her, I spied a young boy and an even younger girl looking incredibly scared. Like I gave a shit right now. She wasn't my priority. Kabal saw me staring angrily at his wife.

"HEY! DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!" he shouted.

"Daddy, who's the scary man?" the young boy asked.

"Dada! He's scawy!" the young girl added. Both kids were being shielded by their mother.

"Sabrina," Kabal ordered. "Take the kids downstairs and lock the door. GO!" Kabal tried to punch me but I easily dodged it and countered with a vicious uppercut that sent him flying. I addressed this Sabrina woman.

"If you value your or your husband's life, leave," I said, as menacing as I could muster. Sabrina slammed the door shut, locked it and disappeared from view. Kabal got to his feet again and actually managed to punch me a few times with surprising speed. I caught the final punch and countered with a headbut which sent him stumbling backwards towards the door. I used an air current to pull him back to me and then I delivered an absolutely devastating kick to his chest…but his speed was too much for me. He caught my leg, and hurled me through the nearby window where I crashed onto the floor of a family room and was showered in glass shards. I heard Sabrina scream and the young girl started to cry.

"I will ask again," Kabal said from nearby. Damn he's fast. He was currently holding his boot over my neck.

"What. Do you want," he growled. I used the winds to shove his boot away and got to my feet. I wiped the glass from my face and knocked my glasses off inadvertently. Kabal narrowed his eyes at me.

"The kid from the arena…" he muttered. "That's right!"

"Yes," I growled back and ripped off my mask. "The kid from the area. Kimi's brother. Do you know the names of our parents Carlos?!" Kabal thought for a moment and I used that opportunity to tackle him to the ground and punch him in the face repeatedly.

"Dante. And. Lauren. HARRIS!" I shouted with every strike. Kabal was actually dodging most of my punches. Half the time, my knuckles connected with the floor rather than his face. I couldn't give less of a fuck right now. Kabal stopped dodging when I said my mother's name and I managed to punch him in the face.

"Remember now?!" I shouted. "Lauren Harris?! Your old friend, ZAYNE JAREK knew her quite well didn't he?!"

"Jarek," Kabal coughed and pushed me off him. I stumbled backwards into the wall and made a few photos fall off the wall. Including Kabal and Sabrina's wedding photo. Kurtis was in attendance. I quickly took out the photo the Red Dragon guys had given to me and shoved it at Kabal. He took it and his eyes widened.

"REMEMBER?!" I shouted and charged him again. We locked hands in a grapple this time.

"You were best friends with the man that RUINED MY LIFE!" I yelled.

"Kid, that was a long time ago!" Kabal protested.

"FUCKING SHUT UP!" I bellowed. "YOU KNEW HIM! YOU WERE PART OF THE CULT THAT IS TRYING TO KILL US ALL! YOU HELPED HIM KILL MY FAMILY!"

"No I didn't!" Kabal protested again. "I got out before that even happened! Jarek was obsessed with your mother! He couldn't take the rejection and being told no by a woman for the first time in his life! He wanted her as a trophy rather than just a human being! I saw how fucked up the whole cult was! I joined it because I was a stupid man in my twenties! I got out and sought help from Stryker. It was because of me that the cult was down to just Jarek, Kira and Kobra near the end! I supplied the force with valuable information that nearly disbanded the entire organization! I didn't help him kill your parents kid! I swear to God!" I didn't give a shit. All I cared about is that Carlos Kabal knew Zayne Jarek. And I will eliminate everyone and everything associated with him.

"SWEAR TO ME!" I shouted in a voice I myself no longer recognized. I broke free of Kabal's grip and formed my sword. I would kill him for just associating with Jarek. I didn't care if his wife or children were watching. He must DIE! I swung my sword at him, intending to mortally wound him. Maybe if he was on death's door, he'd give me something useful.

Before my blade connected, I was blinded by a blue streak of lightning that seemed to come out of absolutely nowhere.

"Stop this right now Victor," a new voice said. It sounded…calm. But that kind of calm that could easily be misconstrued as friendly. Then I realized the voice had said my name. I turned around to see a man standing there with blue lightning going up and down his arms. His eyes were even glowing blue. He was wearing a white jacket with accents of dark blue and brown. He had navy blue pants alongside white boots. In one hand, he was holding a conical, straw Chinese coolie hat and in the other, a ball of lightning. His face was very similar to Uncle Fujin's except this man had the beginnings of a short brown beard that matched the color of his hair which was tied in a short bun.

"And who the fuck are you?!" I said menacingly to the man. The man didn't move but gave me quite the disapproving look. Hold on…that face looked familiar. I've totally seen this guy before when I was much younger.

"Oh great…more people here to break my shit," Kabal said. That's when the man moved. The lightning disappeared and that's when I noticed the amulet attached to his belt. Oh…now I know who this guy is…Great…

"Greetings Officer Kabal," the man said and bowed to Kabal. "My name is Raiden. I am Victor's uncle." Sabrina appeared behind Kabal followed by her two kids. The little girl ran over to hug Kabal's leg and he shielded her behind him just in case.

"Uncle?" Kabal asked. "Wasn't that white haired guy with the sword his uncle? Are you that guy's brother?" My Uncle Raiden nodded.

"Yes," Uncle Raiden answered politely. "I am terribly sorry about the fear Victor brought to your home Mr. and Mrs. Kabal. Allow me to take him away. He was following a false lead."

"False lead?!" I shouted at Uncle Raiden. "He knows the man that killed your sister! And you're just going to let him go? As if!" I turned to charge at the distracted Kabal but I heard the sound of thunder and was again blinded by blue lightning and felt myself run right into somebody who grabbed my arms and pinned them behind my back. When my vision cleared, it was Uncle Raiden. His grip was strong…and he was even using one hand to hold me.

"Now then, good evening to you all," Uncle Raiden said and gave another bow to Kabal. "I am terribly sorry about this mess." I still struggled against Uncle Raiden's grip. Kabal walked over to me and held up one finger to my face.

"I'll let you off the hook this time kid cause Kurt likes you," he growled. "Attack me in front of my family again, and your ass is in the slammer. Got it?"

"I would recommend telling Mr. Stryker and Miss Harris," Uncle Raiden added. "Just so the message of his mistake sinks in." DUDE! UNCOOL! Kabal seemed to agree and pulled out his phone. He dialed someone and began speaking as Uncle Raiden led me out of the house. Before we got out of earshot, I heard Kabal say "Hello Kimi? Yes, sorry to bother you this late, but you'll never guess what just happened to me…" Fuck me running…

Later. Near Uncle Fujin's

Uncle Raiden had a vice-like grip on me as we walked away from Kabal's house. Then, without warning, we legit teleported away from the area. I regained control of myself (and silenced the need to hurl) and realized where we were. Near the path to Uncle Fujin's house. He looked around and then shoved me forward. I fell to the ground still a bit dazed from the teleport.

"You going to tell me what the hell that stunt was?!" Uncle Raiden exclaimed. "Why in blazes are you attacking a police officer at his own home?! Your mother taught you better than this!"

"DON'T YOU SPEAK ABOUT MY MOTHER!" I shouted back and got in Uncle Raiden's face. He didn't move. He simply stood there glaring at me with that disapproving look of his.

"SAY SOMETHING ASSHOLE! YOU YELLED AT HER WHEN SHE LEFT FENGJIAN! YOU DIDN'T SPEAK WITH HER FOR YEARS," I shouted and attempted to punch him. He parried it.

"Much like Fujin, I regretted that decision for many years. Your mother and I made up fully when I watched her marry your father," Uncle Raiden explained calmly. "I was there when Kimi was born as well as you. I recall you saying "Rah" when Hikari placed you in my arms. I split my time between the Wu Shi Academy and America. I was around a bit when you were small. Think about it. Remember the man you called 'Way-den'?" Him saying that did make me remember something. Yes. He was right. I was like three or four years old at home with my mom and…Raiden. That was him. Minus the beard. I wasn't told he was my uncle. Just my mom's friend from her hometown named Raiden.

"Your mother didn't tell you and Kimi about myself and Fujin because she wanted a normal life for both of you. Free from the potential dangers of the world until you were ready," Uncle Raiden said. "Fujin and I were present in both of your lives, you just did not fully know who we were."

"WELL LOOK HOW FUCKIN WELL THAT TURNED OUT!" I shouted back. "SHE'S DEAD. MY FATHER'S DEAD. AND THE MAN WHO COMMITTED THE CRIME IS STILL ALIVE!"

"Not 'still alive' but resurrected," Uncle Raiden explained. "An Outworld sorcerer, also intrigued by the Dragon King, heard about the cult and revived it and Jarek. As you witnessed, Jarek decided not to ally with the sorcerer and instead continued his search for the Dragon King and built up his cult using that sorcerer's magic. Most if not all of the cultists you have faced are undead."

"Well then that doesn't explain where the hell you've been the past ten years!" I exclaimed.

"I have been assisting my comrade Kung Lao in training another young warrior named Shujinko," Uncle Raiden answered. "He and Kung Lao are on an assignment for Liu Kang in Outworld. Liu Kang is actually the one who suggested I assist you, as this is a family matter. Jarek's resurrection is rather recent or so I am told." I didn't answer. There was a silver lining there. At least Jarek wasn't walking around tearing families apart for the past few years.

"What are you going to tell Fujin what you've been doing?" he continued. I scoffed.

"Yeah right, like I'm going back there right now," I muttered.

"Tell you what Vic, I will offer you a deal," Uncle Raiden said. I noticed the use of my nickname rather than my full name.

"Go on," I said for the second time that night.

"We have a sparring match. If you win, you may go free. But if I win, you return to Fujin's and explain what you've been doing for weeks. Best two out of three," Uncle Raiden offered. I thought about it for a second…and then held out my hand. Uncle Raiden shook it.

"You're on, old man," I said and struck my fighting stance. Uncle Raiden instead stood there with his arms crossed. He even smirked.

"If you even manage to strike me, I'll call that a win," he said. Before he finished, I was moving. I aimed a roundhouse kick at him…but almost faster than Fujin, he dodged. I followed up with a punch…but again he dodged. AND he still had that smug smile on his face! I threw punch after punch, kick after kick and wind attack after wind attack but nothing hit him. Then I threw an extremely sloppy kick and Uncle Raiden capitalized on it. He knocked my leg away and delivered a punch to my gut and an open hand strike to my chest that sent me sprawling on the ground. Fuck.

I got up to see that Raiden was standing in the same spot with his arms crossed again.

"Flawless Victory. Raiden wins," he said smugly.

"Alright then," I snarled. "Round two! FIGHT!" Same old song and dance, this time Uncle Raiden countered much earlier than before. This time with a move that had him fly at me with great speed. He even shouted something that sounded like "YA-YEE-BABA-YAYYY!" and I was on the ground again.

"I win," Uncle Raiden said and offered me his hand. I stupidly took it and the motherfucker conjured up some lightning cuffs around my wrists. They didn't hurt…but they did tickle a little bit. Ever eat Pop Rocks? Now imagine that sensation going up your wrists. Uncle Raiden pulled out my glasses and mask as well.

"Wanna put these back on to make an entrance," he asked. I glared back at him. He stowed them in his pocket instead.

"Come on light breeze," Uncle Raiden said and started to lead me up the path to Uncle Fujin's. "You have a lot of explaining to do."

Actually at Uncle Fujin's.

I didn't even bother struggling against Uncle Raiden as we walked up to Uncle Fujin's front door. I felt that if I did, I'd straight up get knocked out. Uncle Raiden knocked on the door a few times. On the other side I heard Uncle Fujin's voice go "Who in the hell…" followed by footsteps and the sound of a sword being drawn. Great. Hopefully Uncle Fujin's eyes are faster than his reflexes otherwise I'm about to be shish kabobed. The door opened slowly for a few seconds before it was thrown open and Uncle Fujin was standing there in a sleeveless shirt, pajama pants and fuzzy slippers. Thankfully, his eyes were fast tonight. He saw Raiden first though.

"Raiden?" he asked and then he saw me. "VIC!"

"I do believe he belongs to you," Uncle Raiden said, took off his hat and led me inside. At least he removed the cuffs right as Uncle Fujin embraced me.

"Where the hell were you!" he exclaimed.

"Following a lead," I muttered.

"Wrong. He was interrogating Officer Carlos Kabal in front of his family," Uncle Raiden said. Uncle Fujin looked rather angry at this. Not "going to break my neck" angry but certainly "what the fucking FUCK" angry.

"I taught you better than that!" he said to me angrily. "Why the hell would you even think to do that?!"

"I can answer that brother," Uncle Raiden said. Oh good. More people telling me how stupid I am! Just what I need right now!

"I was approached by a Red Dragon member by the name of Taven when I arrived in the city. Apparently his comrades intended to send Vic on a fool's errand in hopes he'd get arrested for actually killing Kabal. Kabal apparently was a former member of the Black Dragon Cult but I believe you already knew that. I did not know it was Vic who they approached and neither did Taven. He just said 'wind vigilante' and he seemed to know about you Fujin so I figured I'd at least hear him out. The moment I arrived on the scene, I knew the vigilante was Hikari's son. The hair is a dead giveaway," Uncle Raiden explained. I knew it. I knew those Red Dragon guys were shady at best. This Taven guy though…I'd make my own judgment on him later.

"Dickhead Hsu Hao…" I muttered.

"Now then, Vic. Explain to Fujin how long you have been doing this solo crusade," Uncle Raiden ordered.

"Pass," I snapped back. Uncle Raiden removed his amulet from his belt and charged it with electricity. His eyes glowed blue again.

"Vic, do not make me," he warned. Not wanting yet another ass beating, I relented.

"Since you saved me and Cass at Johnny's," I muttered. Uncle Fujin pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance.

"Your mother would not have wanted this," Uncle Fujin said. That's when I completely lost it.

"HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT SHE WANTED?! SHE WANTED TO LIVE. SHE WANTED TO SEE ME SUCCEED IN LIFE! AND WHAT DO I HAVE TO SHOW FOR IT?! PROTECTING A CITY WHERE HALF OF THE FUCKERS IN IT HATE MY GUTS! I FINALLY HAVE SOME CONCRETE EVIDENCE OF WHO ACTUALLY KILLED MY PARENTS OTHER THAN YOUR VAGUE BULLSHIT I'VE BEEN HEARING FOR TEN YEARS! I WANT HIM DEAD! I WANT HIM TO PAY FOR WHAT HE DID TO HER! SHE SHOULD BE HERE RIGHT NOW WITH ME!" I shouted at the top of my voice at Uncle Fujin. Uncle Fujin didn't move. Instead, he did the very very bold action of placing his hand on my shoulder. For some reason, that calmed me.

"Vic, your mother spoke her last words to me. She said 'Fujin, protect Victor and Kimi with your life.' Remember what I taught you. Fight to protect your loved ones, not kill your enemies. Jarek. Is going. To KILL you. If you fight him on your own. Understand me?" Uncle Fujin stated. I was only half listening…because I saw her. She was floating a few inches off the ground in the hallway.

"Mom…" I said no longer angry. Both Uncle Fujin and Raiden looked over at her.

"Hikari…" Uncle Raiden said solemnly. "I still am truly sorry." My mom smiled at Raiden and Fujin but then turned her attention to me. Her smile went away and I saw the face she made whenever she was disappointed in me or my dad or Kimi. Oh no… But she wasn't the only person in the room that was mad at me. My mom pointed to a spot over my shoulder. I turned around to see Uncle Raiden looking very concerned at a woman with a grown out blonde pixie cut wearing a sleeveless shirt and pajama bottoms staring absolute daggers at me. Even the cat tattoo on one of her arms looked as though it was pissed at me. Cassie Cage raised her finger and then jabbed it at the ground in front of her. That meant only one thing. Get over here.

"Shall I give you a tour of my house, Raiden," Uncle Fujin said quickly. "That's Cassie Cage, Vic's girlfriend." Uncle Raiden looked surprised.

"Cage? Like Johnny Cage? She is his daughter?" Uncle Raiden asked. Cassie turned her anger on Uncle Raiden instead. Uncle Fujin cleared his throat.

"The tour Raiden," he urged.

"Oh yes, that sounds lovely. Great to meet you Cassie," Uncle Raiden answered and they quickly walked in the direction of the basement. Cassie was still positively fuming with anger.

"Get. Your FUCKING ASS. Over here. RIGHT NOW," Cassie demanded through gritted teeth.

Oh boy. Looks like I do get to get my ass beat twice in one night.
