Chapter 4:

Raph's POV

We laid in the sun relaxing in the tall grass, while Mike played with his new pet. "Cabbage! Do you know how to fetch?" I chuckled as Mike's typical personality began to shine through. I opened my book from Master Splinter. This book is the only treasured item I brought with me. I noticed my brothers all wearing their orb necklaces. I haven't even touched mine. I opened the book and grasped the necklace with my three fingers. What are these gifts for? Even on his deathbed, Master Splinter gives us homework. My face flushed as I felt hot tears running down my cheeks. I don't cry. I never cried. I didn't cry when he passed. Why now?

I took a deep breath, wiped my tears and put the orb necklace over my head, resting it on my chest. I closed my eyes and took another breath. Once I reopened my eyes, I noticed the orb was glowing red. Shocked at the sight I look to my brothers, Mikey's orb glowing a bright orange, Donnie's a bright purple, and Leo's a bright blue. "What the shell?" I yelled, panic taking over my voice. My brothers stopped what they were doing and looked at me, confusion written on their faces. I looked down at the orb around my neck, and the bright glow began to fade, disappearing completely. I was about to say something when a ball whizzed passed my head.

"Vinny! You threw the ball too far again!" A little girls voice echoed as she ran after the ball. "Addi! Remember our sisters said not to wander too far from the city!" Another girls voice yelled from a distance. "I'm FINE Soph! It's just grass!" The nearby girl shouted back. "Wait for me!" A younger voiced girl called not too far behind.

I turned around to see a small turtle. "Hi Mister! Can I have my ball please?" The young girl smiled. I froze. Soon another turtle showed up, this one much smaller than the first. Another two arrived shortly after. "Where you from?" Asked the biggest turtle.

Leo's POV

I stared bewilderingly in the direction of the young turtles. We have never met others like us before, and this turtle looks identical to us. "I'm Leo," I state breaking the ice, "and these are my brothers Don, Mikey and Raph."

"I'm Vincenzo. I've never seen you before. You better not be here to hurt my friends or my big sister will hurt you." He growled at me. This turtle has a lot of bravery about him. "I promise we won't hurt anyone. We are just low and confused." I respond calmly, hoping to reassure the young turtle of their safety.

"Never?" The smallest turtle asks. "Vikki shut up! They are strangers!" The boy said warning the smaller turtle to be quiet. "This is Saurian. The city of Terraria is behind us. It's where all the turtles live!"

"What do you mean ALL the turtles?" Don chirped in. "There's more like us?" The young turtle tilted his head sideways, raising an eyebrow. "Did you hit your head mister? How can you be a turtle and have never heard of Terraria?" Addi asked. We did not have a chance to respond before Vincenzo piped up once more. "If you've never heard of Terraria, then why are you here?" He growled protectively. I recognize my young self within this turtle, protecting his friends the way I do my brother.

"Sorry Vincenzo, I believe we are getting off on the wrong foot. Like I said before, we are lost. We have lived in New York City our whole lives. Do you know where that is?" I interject, attempting to regain control of the conversation once more. The young turtle friends began to laugh, except one. "I think we should take them to your sister Vinny. They may need a doctor. They don't know Terraria and they are imagining places too." The quiet one spoke up. She seemed smaller than Vincenzo and Addi, but bigger than Vikki.

"Maybe they were turtled napped as hatchlings!" Vikki yelled while running around screaming. It looked as though Vincenzo was contemplating what to do next. When a large shadow ran towards us.

"Incoming!" Raph shouted, my brothers all drawing their weapons.

"Addi, take Soph and Vikki with you and go back to Terraria. Go! Now!" Vincenzo yelled. "What is going on?" An older female turtle approached, revealing herself in the light. "Gio! These four are scaring Vikki! Get them!" Standing behind Vinny was a tall female turtle with a braided light blue bandanna falling down her shell. She had gorgeous sky blue eyes. She wore a breastplate covered in emerald green gems.

"Who are you?" She asked stepping in front of Vinny. "You're gonna get it now! My big sister is here! Princess Giovanna." Vincenzo announced proudly. She is a princess? A TURTLE princess?

"I'm Princess Giovanna Marcosse. Again, I ask, who are you?"
