SpongeBob was hanging out with his friends Sandy, Squidward, Patrick, and Mr. Krabs. They were all at the Krusty Krab, just hanging out. There weren't any customers; it was an excellent opportunity to relax. Well, his friends were relaxed. After everything he had experienced within a few months, SpongeBob was still pretty anxious. He couldn't settle the lingering worry that something terrible could happen again. SpongeBob did his best to be still peppy and cheerful. He didn't want his friends to worry, too.

Mr. Krabs asked SpongeBob, "So where have you been all this time, lad?"

"Oh, you know," SpongeBob answered, "Just helping my friends from different worlds."

Patrick excitedly guessed, "The ghost guy, the smart kid, and the other kid?"

SpongeBob chirped, "That's right!"

Squidward asked, "So, how do you plan on dealing with Natalie?"

SpongeBob asked, "How do you know about Natalie, Squidward?"

Squidward grimaced sorrowfully and replied, "I made a deal with her. When my memories were still so foggy, I was just so jealous of your fame that I wanted to be in the spotlight, too. I'm so sorry."

"Aw, Squidy," SpongeBob cooed affectionately, "I forgive you."

Spongebob explained, "I wouldn't worry too much about Natalie; she won't be a problem anytime soon. She's thawing out from a frozen prison the ice Element Immortal put her in."

Black and White Willy woke to see Natalie frozen in an ice block. Somehow, the two of them were in Natalie's castle.

Willie panicked and immediately started hacking away at the ice with his sword.

SpongeBob told them, "I think I made a new friend too!"

Patrick asked, "Oh, have I met this friend?"

"Oh no," SpongeBob answered, "He says his home world is the Nightmare Realm, where he rules as King."

Sandy asked, "Are you sure that guy wasn't evil?"

SpongeBob replied, "His title is unfortunate, but I trust him! He doesn't seem evil, just chaotic!"

Suddenly, there was distant screaming.

Squidward said sarcastically, "Gee, I wonder who that could be."

SpongeBob scolded, "I wouldn't be so sure, Squidward."

Sandy asked, "Should we investigate?'

SpongeBob said, "I will; you guys stay put."

SpongeBob went outside the Krusty Krab. With some hesitation, he used his power to put up a shield against whatever threat presented itself. A blue dome encircled the Krusty Krab as a wave of reddish yellow filled the waters.

SpongeBob rushed to the center of this quiet explosion and spotted Bill Cypher. The very presence of the powerful reality bender seemed to be warping the world. Bill's very aura was twisting Bikini Bottom into something far more hostile.

SpongeBob shouted at Bill, "Hey bud, are you okay?'

Bill replied cheerfully, "SpongeBuddy, I'm fine! Why do you ask?"

SpongeBob nervously roared, "Uhm, you are hurting the fabric of my reality. Is that normal?"

"Oh sure," Bill replied, coming close to SpongeBob, "It happens because the world knows I'm not supposed to be here."

SpongeBob asked, "Why are you being rejected by my reality?"

Bill answered sarcastically, "Gee, I don't know, SpongeBob. Why is your reality rejecting me?"

SpongeBob had a hurt look on his face. But didn't say anything. SpongeBob didn't realize it, but Bill had put him inside a bubble. Bill then tore a hole into the Nightmare Realm. At this point, SpongeBob knew he was in Bill's grasp and couldn't leave.

"I should thank you," Bill said, "So I'm going to give you a place to control for yourself. I hope you enjoy your heaven!"

Then, SpongeBob's bubble was sealed, and he became physically separated from Bill by its walls. SpongeBob sat on the ground of this pocket realm, thinking things over. He mainly was wondering if he had misplaced his trust.

Bill sat by as his friends crossed over and started wrecking the place. 8-Ball wasted no time and started construction on Bill's throne—many citizens of Bikini Bottom were incorporated. Keyhole and Teeth started to create property damage all over town. Keyhole was smashing buildings, and Teeth was chewing on boat-mobiles. Pyronica was setting whatever she wanted ablaze with her flames.

Aquarius did his best to herd some fish folk into SpongeBob's protective bubble gently. The Element Immortal had no power over Bill Cypher's friends but trusted SpongeBob's group had a plan. The Krusty Krab and its parking lot became an emergency shelter during all the chaos.

Understandably, Patrick wanted to find SpongeBob since he wasn't returning after several hours.

"We have to find him," Patrick pleaded with the others, "It's not like him to be gone for so long."

Mr. Krabs asked, "But what can we do? We're not as powerful as that triangle tyrant!"

Sandy answered, "If Spongebob wouldn't stand by when Bikini Bottom fell apart due to lack of Krabby Patties. We shouldn't just sit idly by and let Bikini Bottom fall apart to these monsters!"

Suddenly, a black triangle portal opened, and Bubbles entered the Krusty Krab. The portal quickly closed behind him.

Bubbles explained, "I have come bearing gifts! While I do not possess the same power level as my old boss, I can aid the four of you in rescuing our mutual friend, SpongeBob."

Sandy asked, "What kind of aid?"

Bubbles summoned four items: a Clarinet, A Rock, A Pair of Karate Gloves, and A Quarter.

To Squidward, he gave the Clarinet.

Bubbles explained, "With this, you can cast spells."

To Patrick, he gave the Rock.

Bubbles explained, "With this, your strength will be unmatched."

To Sandy, he gave the Pair of Karate Gloves.

Bubbles explained, "With these, you can defend and attack with your hands."

To Mr. Krabs, he gave the Quarter.

Bubbles explained, "You can manipulate your opponents, and you'll be immune to their manipulation."

Bubbles said, "I wish you luck, farewell my friends!"

Then, he disappeared through a black triangle portal.
