Here's chapter seven everyone! Yeah I know it's been well over a damn year since this story has been touched and I do apologize for not updating. But thanks to King of 2211 he convinced me to continue on especially with October around the corner.
Big shout out to him on helping me write this chapter, we both very much extremely enjoy doing these and are pleased to know that other people appreciate these horror story encounters. Shit, we've even started ahead of time working on the other remaining 6 chapters that remain for this story.
So with that being said, let us pick up where we left off continuing on this series of scary stories.
Chapter 7
As of right now, we see the view of a security camera filming a few cattle that that were bunching up together. At the same time too, we see an ATV come rolling up into view. The driver disembarks as the camera continues filming what transpires.
"Huh, ok this is weird." The rancher said before grabbing a rifle and a walkie. "Oi, Brian?"
"Yeah, go ahead mate." The walkie replied back.
"I just finished checking the perimeter and somethings defiantly out here. Got the cows all spooked."
"That don't sound good, you see anything?"
"No, not so far."
"Want me to come over to you?"
"Nah I got it." He replied back before all the sudden a high-pitched moo was heard from behind and the cattle all began to run going into a stampede. "Brian, something just got one of them! They're hauling ass! I'm gonna get this dipstick!"
"Copy that!" The walkie replied as the camera continues to film showing the rancher getting up onto his atv standing up on it and looked through his scope at the direction where the scream came from.
The rancher spotted something and shot a round at the same time, the ranch hand Brian came running up to him. "Conner, you get it!?"
"Hell, no, I only caught a glimpse of whatever it was!" The rancher replied back shooting another round. "It went down through the brush over there! Get in!" The two got into the ATV with Brian taking the wheel. A dash cam comes into filming the two. They suddenly heard another shriek from the left. "Right over there! That way!"
As the two came up to, the shriek of the missing bovine began to get faint and fainter, but it does not like it was getting farther away... but as if it were having the air sucked out of it. As the two made it to where they thought the heard it, the shrieking suddenly stopped. Everything had gone quiet.
They stopped in front of some bushes, which seemed to be broken; almost like a vehicle drove through it. "Blimey, what could have done that?"
"No idea, but this blocko is big, really big." Conner replied keeping his weapon ready. "Too big to be a Dingo."
"Well that sure as hell isn't a dingo." Brian took out a pistol taking out a flashlight so he could see. As they did, they heard a lot of rustling coming up from ahead. "Hey, right there!" He whispered. "Something's right there."

"Easy now..." Conner said to his ranch hand slowly walking forward carefully squatting down. As they walked forward, they could hear something eating. "Easy..."
As they approached, the camera feed spotted something large in the distance. They soon were close enough to the creature, which was obscured in shadow, but was what it was doing that horrified the two. There, on the ground, was the missing cow; it's torso torn open as the creature made a feast out of its insides. Frightened by the sight before them, and the sheer size of whatever the creature was, Brian and Connor slowly backed away to the ATV. Slowly and trying not to make a sound, they were nearly close t the vehicle, when-
SNAP!
In their haste, Brian had accidentally stepped on a twig; this caused the creature to look in the direction of Brian and Connor, who screamed as the creature roared and rushed at them.

Lost Tapes. Australian Dinosaur
As of the moment we see a dash cam turn on revealing a rugged middle aged, bearded man wearing an eyepatch.
"Alright, I'm gonna meet you all there ok?"
"Yeah, were just waiting for you here Billy."
"Yep, be there a bit. " He hung up the phone.
In late June of 2020, local Rancher Conner Battles and his ranch hand Brian Solmary disappeared one night. The local authorities and the game wardens have tried to locate them, but have made no success at all. However, they discovered strange tracks all over the land of the ranch. So they decided to bring in specialist hunter Wayne Peterson, also known locally by others 'Billy Marks'. Originally from Alaska, he's lived in Australia most of his life, hunting all sorts of rouge animals for over twenty-five years, but tonight will put his knowledge of survival to the test. These are his tapes.
8:00. A.M
A dash cam sparked to life as a desert jeep drove up to a caravan of jeeps and trucks.
Billy proceeded to exit out the jeep walking up to a few guys. "Alright fella's you called me in. What's going on?"
"Well, that's the thing, we don't know."
"What you mean you don't know?"
"C'mon it's best that we show you."
As the hunter was lead, his cam caught footage of the brush around in shambles; bushes were crushed, a tree was uprooted, and an ATV that was flipped onto its side, but that was nothing compared to what was about to come. As they reached the spot, the footage saw that it was the carcass of a fully grown cow; it's flesh nearly picked clean.
The most notable traits of the corpse were very large distinct bite marks. "Oh wow...When did this come up?" Billy questioned walking over to examine it.
"Don't know. When we were looking for Connor and Brian, we found it like this. Don't suppose you know what could have caused this do you?"
Billy knelt down examining the bones of this cow. "Whatever did this, bit this by the neck and brought it over here...I don't say drag, because I don't see any drag marks and this cow weighs like 300 pounds."
"What creature could have done that? There can't be any animal alive in this country that could do that... could there?"
"Hard to say...Usually, you'd find bite marks like these from Crocodiles, but were miles away from any rivers. Have you found anything else?"
"Yeah, we found tracks, really weird looking ones too." One of the guys replied back.
Looking around, Billy saw that there were indeed tracks... tracks that were big and apparently three toes
"The hell?" He traces the lines in one of the footprints. "This reptilian...but it's to damn big."
"Think it could be an escaped animal or something? Wouldn't be surprised if there were poachers transporting exotics around the bush."
"Yeah, but you ever seen anything with three big distinct toes?" Billy questioned. "No, you'd only tracks like these made from birds. And this is too big to be an ostrich."
"Well, whatever the bloody hell it is, cattle in the local area's been vanishing and now two people are missing. Whatever it is, it's dangerous and we need to find it."
"In that case we should pay a visit to the local village a few k's from here." Billy suggested as he got up. "They'd know if something happens in this area."
"All right then. Okay, blokes, we're moving out!"
Everyone got to their vehicles as Billy took one last look around, then went back to his jeep.
The Burrunjor forms part of the Australian Aboriginal history and creation myths, depictions of which suggest that it looks like a dinosaur. Many accounts imply that it looks like the theropod dinosaurs which would make it the only surviving species of massive dinosaurs in the world.
But then, some depictions show the Burrunjor as more of a smaller predator. Some accounts suggest that it could be the descendant of megaraptorids such as the Rapator, Australovenator or Megaraptor.
At the same time, the Burrunjor could also belong to a dinosaur species which have not been featured in the fossil record anywhere. All my have in terms of its appearance is Aboriginal mythology, which paints the Burrunjor as a giant lizard.
And all the sightings, of course. According to the majority of sightings of the creature, it could be around 20 to 25 feet (6 to 7.5 meters) long and is bipedal in nature. In addition, the small-clawed hands are a possible similarity between the Burrunjor and the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
9:30 A.M
By now they'd already park in front of the entrance leading to a local village. "Alright guys, listen these are some of probably the politest people you'll meet so just let do the talking ok?" Billy told the rest of the guys as they entered. But when they did, it was dead silent and quiet, they couldn't see anyone.
"Hello!?"
Billy didn't get a response and tried again. "Hello!?"
"Where is everybody?"
As they walked around, the group noticed that some of the huts were damaged; almost as if a tornado swept through. Not only that, but signs of a struggle was apparent as tracks were all over the place... familiar tracks with three toes.
"Over here..."
Everyone turned to see an elderly Aboriginal emerging from one of the huts; almost as if he were hiding. "Are you one of the elders? What happened here?"
"A devil attacked us..." The old man whispered underneath his breath.
"A what?"
"Devil..." The elder proceeded to fall forward, Billy caught him and checked his pulse.
"He's still alive, just fainted. Probably from shock and exhaustion. Get him inside."
As their comrades helped the elderly man inside, a few decided to stand guard outside the hut.
"Jesus bloody Christ, this is crazy."
They looked to the rest of the place that was a complete wreck. "The fuck went down here?"
"You don't think this place got attacked by mercs do you?"
"Don't know... don't think I wanna know."
Billy walks over and spots the same foot prints that they found over at the ranch. "Look at this, same tracks."
"Should we follow them?"
"Yeah, grab the guns. Go on!"
A few men armed themselves as they followed the hunter. As Billy knelt down and inspected the tracks, he brought some soil up, "... These tracks are still fresh... Keep your guard up! It could still be around here somewhere."
Cocking his shotgun Billy took lead as they followed the tracks that went towards a busted up hut. When they peaked inside it was a very grizzly sight, there were bodies of the villagers six in total, covered in blood, and many of them were missing their limbs, like an arm or leg.
"Bloody hell!" One of the men yelp.
"Shh! Don't be so loud!" Billy hissed. He knelt down keeping his gun close. "Some of them were my friends..."
"The hell happened. First the cow and missing two guys and now this village?" One of the other guys couldn't find the right words to describe this.
"I'll say this much, it's pretty bold to attack a whole village."
"Then that means it's not afraid of humans either."
"What the hell is doing all this? It can't be just an animal."
Billy motioned over to the corpse missing a few arms and some having their legs gone not to mention the other wounds on their bodies. "How else you explain this than."
As they looked, one of the backup camera men saw something wedged in the wood. "What the..."
He slowly approached it and pried it off... as he inspected it, he saw that it was some sort of tooth. "Hey, Billy! I think I found something!" Curious he took it and inspected it. "That's one big tooth. Ever seen anything like it?"
"No, never." Billy shook his head. "I've killed big crocs, but never had a tooth from one of them like this before..."
Over the course of 1950s, it seemed that this creature had leapt out of mythology and become a real life problem. Many cattle ranchers in Australia reported sightings of a large lizard-like predator eating their livestock. Most of the ranchers found bipedal tracks with three-toed imprints and linked them with the traditional accounts.
Some of the earliest accounts by aboriginals suggested that the Burrunjor is a large reptile, also having feathers. Apparently, the diet of the Burrunjor included kangaroos and large animals, thereby suggesting that the predator must be equally sizeable.
The bipedal footprints of the supposedly dinosaur-like creature distinguish it from other assumptions, such as its similarities with prehistoric giant monitor lizards. But one thing was clear: a lot of people were seeing something very unexpected in the Australian wilderness.
The foremost evidence about the existence of the Burrunjor comes from the traditional history of Aboriginal Australians, which would make it a good place to start. Their history, and the description of Burrunjor comes way before westerners could have told them about the existence of dinosaurs.
In addition, cave paintings throughout Australia have shown depictions of the creature. Although these show a number of variations, on the basics they are consistent. And the paintings look like a carnivorous dinosaur.
10: 55 A.M.
About almost two hours had passed and right now we see the group was now back onto their vehicles while Billy was busy examining the tooth they had found lodged in the tree. They were on route to get back to the ranger station and give a report on what they had found.
"I'm tellin ya, never have I seen anything like this before."
"What could it have been from from?"
"Don't know...Probably whatever attacked that village." He sets the tooth down and takes out his rifle making sure it was ready not jammed.
"Billy should we be worried?"
"Can't say for sure... Say, the old man all right?"
"He's fine, a little shaken up, but otherwise stable. Though it's anyone's guess on when the bloke'll wake up. Best we can do is make sure to get him medical attention soon as possible."
"All the more reason we get back to the station."
Right then the car up ahead skids to a screeching halt startling everyone. "Oi the hell!?"
"Look over there!" Everyone looked into the direction the guy up front was pointing at and upon seeing it, everyone scrambles over to a kill sight a very gruesome one at that. It was a full pack of dingo's who looked like they were all put in the butcher's block. Many of them were covered in large bite marks and others were missing their limbs.
One hunter nearly gagged, "Bugger! What the bloody hell heppened here?!"
Another began inspecting the dead carcasses, when he heard something to his his right. The body cam whipped around, the hunter taking out his rifle, but then stopped. There, in a small hole, laid four dingo pups, not so old as their eyes were still shut.
"Oh, blimey... hey, hey, shhh. It's okay, it's okay..." The hunter soothed as he approached the now orphaned pups. Looking around, he and everyone else were now more spooked than they were in the village. Seeing animals dead was nothing new, seeing bodies of dead people was another thing... but now... now, things were becoming frightening.
Especially as it was evident that whatever was causing the commotion lately, was not only involved... but it was also close as the footage showed that the kills were rather recent. It was then that the hunter saw something... something that made his blood run cold...
"Billy? Oy, Billy! Come look at this!"
He turned around and so did the camera man and much to thier shock, they found another track the exact same one from the village. In fact they were spread out the sign showing the fight that went down. Billy rushed over to examine the tracks placing a hand inside of it feeling the dirt. "The ground's fresh, just like the carcasses. This had to happen about an hour ago..." He deduced.
His eyes went wide, "That means... it could still be close by."
When he said that, something loud echoed through the air. It was a loud powerful roar was heard echoing in the distance making everyone jump which also scared the puppies who were in another rangers' arms. "The hell was that!?" One guy exclaimed.
"No idea..." Billy replied back before looking back to the camera guy and others with him. "Alright, change of plans everyone. Half of us stay here and find the thing doing this, the rest of you take the old man back and those pups back to the station."
"You sure bout that, mate?"
"Positive. Now go! The rest, with me!" Billy ordered.
The case of an explorer in the Northern Territory named Bryan Clark, who had ventured out into the wilderness of Arnhem Land, and managed to get himself lost.
While Bryan he took around three days to find his way back, it is what the search party found which is of real interest. The three men, two Aborigines and a local policeman, who had gone in search of Bryan reported hearing the sound of loud grunting and puffing noises at night.
In addition, the statements of cattle ranchers from local farms also strengthened beliefs in the existence of the Burrunjor. Ranchers stated on different occasions in 1980 that a big predator was stealing and killing off their livestock.
Apparently, the predator was large enough to carry cattle. Initially, the ranchers believed crocodiles as the potential culprit behind the disappearance of their livestock, but the cattle were not being dragged into the water as you would expect with a crocodile.
Finally a cattle rancher came face to face with the animal that was attacking his livestock. Charles Waterman stated that he saw a beast standing at a height of 20 feet (6 meters) carrying off a cow in its jaws into the bushes.
Another possible evidence of the existence of Burrunjor comes from a much earlier account by ranchers, which offers a similar story. In 1957, ranchers near the McArthur River in the Northern Territory reported an unexpected sighting.
Almost 50 cattle seemed perplexed and started running towards a nearby river, and ranchers heard loud grunting noises as they fled the scene. Some of the witnesses have reported seeing the silhouette of a giant monster running away toward the scrubland nearby.
The following morning, the ranchers discovered the mutilated bodies of several cattle, some of them half-eaten. Based on the injuries found on the livestock, the reports from the 1950s and 1980s are the same: whatever killed these cows, it was large, powerful and aggressive.
5: 00 P.M.
Hours later Billy and his group made up camp in an open area, but there was a twist. Everyone was staking out in some tree's using tents a large campfire to draw anything in that would be curious. Why since it was obvious that whatever they were hunting was a predator they laid out chunks of meat by the fire for the perpetrator.
Now it was the game of patiently sitting and waiting, and right now everything was normal they could make out a few animals in the distance but other than that nothing too extreme.
Billy reached for a walkie. "Hey fella's anything yet?"
One hunter shined the light of the moon on a mirror, "First base. Ready!"
"Second base. Ready!" Another called out, also shining moonlight on a mirror.
"Third base. Ready!"
"Alright, keep your eyes and ears open for any movement. Stay silent until then." Billy set the walkie aside and he brought out the night vision goggles.
"Billy no offense, but I'm really...getting a bad vibe out here..." The cameraman said in an honest tone.
"Shh! Keep your voice low!" Billy hissed, keeping his attention to the bush.
"I see movement..." He points out over to the distance. "Look-look-look! Over there!" He whispered and in the distance they could see something moving it was just a small pack of spotted hyena's making their way towards the camp. Most defiantly they were attracted by the smell of the bloody meat they had out.
"Pah, just a few hyena's."
"Isn't that a good thing though?"
"Dammit! Someone get them out of there-"
Everyone went quiet... then everything else... the hyenas perked up when they heard that... and then... the ground began to shake abit.
Suddenly spooked, the hyenas ran back into the bush.
Billy grabbed the walkie radioing to the others. "Get ready fella's I think it's coming..." He set it down and quickly got his rifle ready taking aim.
He saw someone shining a moonlight mirror replying back. Right then the sounds of heavy large footsteps were heard, Billy, the cameraman and everyone swore that they also were feeling the ground lightly shake.
"What is that?" Billy shushed him as the footsteps were getting louder.
"It's coming..." Billy whispered getting himself ready to aim soon enough they were hearing the sound of heavy breathing and grunting mixed in with the heavy loud footsteps which started to shake the ground more and more with each passing second.
The footage cracked and flicked as each thump became larger and larger; meaning the creature was getting closer and closer.
"Alright...come on out you bastard..." Billy whispered but then his eyes widened in shock. All his years of hunting, did not prepare him for what he was seeing entering the clearing and walking towards the bait camp. "Son of a bitch..." He muttered as lowly underneath his breath.
Emerging out into the open was an actual living breathing dinosaur, walking on two powerful legs that shook the ground with each step. Behind a long large tail was swishing side by side. Very faintly they could make out a very darkish brown color, and a few small series of spikes running down from the back of it's head stopping at it's neck line. It stood easily around 35 to possibly 40 feet tall. Its heavy breathing could be seen as the prehistoric creature made its way over to the decoy camp.
Much like with the hyena's it too was mostly likely curious of what was there.
The hunters watched in equals parts shock, ah, and horror. One hunter finally found his voice as he whispered into the walkie-talkie, "... You blokes are seein' this too... right?"
"Everyone turn to radio silence unless absolutely necessary." Billy instructed as they watched the dinosaur stop in front of the camp looking at sniffing the air.
"What's it doing?" The cameraman whispered.
The creature looked around, making a mess of the tents and equipment; searching through the supplies left by the hunters. It then turned its head to the trees…
"I… I think it smells is." Billy replied grimly. He prepared to take fire but much to his relief and everyone's relief it was more focused on the meat laid out before it and started to eat.
"Stay low and, don't make a sound, and no sudden movements..." Billy ordered his companion.
The cameraman shudered, "R-right..."
He then grabbed the walkie. "Alright, everyone take aim and fire under the count of ten...starting right now..." Billy aimed his rifle breathing under his breath.
"10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1..." Right on que he fired off a shot as did the other hunters hitting their marks because the dinosaur roared out in pain.
"Everyone! Don't let up!" Billy screamed as they continued to fire off more rounds.
Suddenly, the night air was filled with the sound of muzzle flashes as the creature continued to roar. It thrashed and whipped around until it reached to where Billy and his cameraman were hiding.
"Look out! Jump!" Billy shouted. Both he and his companion fell to the ground, landing hard onto the dirt.
Suddenly, the shooting stopped, the roaring ceased, and the night air once again becoming silent. The cameraman groaning as his camera shook as he tried standing up.
Billy rushed over to him. "Hey, hey! You alright!?"
"Y-Yeah. I'm ok-ok!" The cameraman replied continuing to groan.
But at that moment, something stomped right in front of the downed man; a shadow looming over him. The man's was caught in his throat, his body began shivering… Slowly, he raised his camera upwards… and saw that the creature was standing over him. He did his best not to make a sound, only for the creature to look down as him…
Right then more gun fire was heard making the dinosaur look over to the source roaring out at the hunters before turning around and made a run for it the tail of the beast swinging knocking the cameraman off of his feet.
"Everyone stay together!" Billy cried out as as a few hunters helped the cameraman get back onto his feet.
6:55 P.M
Right now we see the group huddled up by the campfire, and from the view of the camera we could see a hunter patching up the cameraman. Billy came over. "How's he looking?"
"It's-it's fine, but after all this is done… I quit."
"Yeah, what he said, he'll alright. Billy we gotta get out of here mate."
"Already on it. Called in the station not to long ago, there sending someone with a vehicle right now." The leader of the party replied back.
"Well, let's hope it gets here soon... that thing could be closing in at any moment."
"We already got the perimeter secured."
"Even so keep your eyes open and ears ready." Billy instructed. "Do an ammo check, reload all weapons and check our supplies."
"On it."
1:24 A.M.
By right now a few hours later we see the camera turning back on and we see the group in the back of a truck. The device was aimed right in the middle showing everyone huddled up with Billy sitting next to the cameraman apologizing for what had happened to him as he was his responsibility to keep him safe. But he failed at that.
They weren't even five minutes on the move when...
A loud, distinctive, and all too familiar roar; everyone looked back as the camera feed caught the form of the creature... which was sprinting after them!
"It found us!" A hunter shouted in fear.
Billy slapped behind the driver. "Get this thing moving now! Everyone weapon up!" They all did as instructed while Billy reached into his back pulling out a tactical shotgun and quickly started to load up the shells like his life depended on it.
The creature roared in pain, but kept on its pursuit as it chased after the speeding truck; Not letting up as lacerations appeared on its scales. Though the driver did his best to keep ahead of the beast, the creature was able to catch up, and just when it was about to reach the back-
"Look out!" A hunter shouted.
All bodycams looked to the front of the truck, a log appearing in the road; one that was too late to avoid...
As the vehicle slammed into the log, it began to spin around rapidly; the creature crashing into it as they both tumblbed around and aroud. The footage then became distorted, showing snipets of the truck rolling and the passengers falling all over. The creature heard roaring again, until... it all... went... blank.
Suddenly, the footage picked up, though the lense on each body cam was damaged with apparent cracks; the truck was upside down and while most were hanging upside down thanks to the harnesses they all wore, some laid upon the roof of the bed. The sound of groaning was in the background, likely the creature as it whimpered in pain... then went silent.
None of the passenger made a move... until Billy gasped, his eyes snapping open...
The following morning the ranger team returned to retrieve the team lead by Billy Solmary. Half of the team didn't make, including the cameraman. He spent six months in the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Likewise, the Aboriginal elder, though showing since of a stroke, made a full recovery and was released. The animals recovered were sent to a nature reserve, but despite an extensive search and seeing evidence of an attack; the body of the creature was never found.
Billy presumes that it likely could've survived and since then he's decided to make Australia his permeant home of residence devoting all of his time into researching, and tracking what took the life of his friends, and his life as well. But inspite of what others claim, he's more than certain that where there is one, others are somewhere hidden lurking in the Outback itself.
Since then, though dwindled, cattle still go missing and the disappearances of the farmer, his farmhand and the entire village remain a mystery. Were their cases the results of animal attacks.. or the attack of something that lives amongst us?
One last shot of the creature is shown as it sneers down at the camera with sharp, jagged teeth.
