In the past, things were very different. Knowing what they had left behind, the couple had no choice but to take a 'leap of faith'. 800 years into the future… now this can be a little tricky. What has changed? I don't know what awaits us in this new time, but it will be a day in hell before anyone dares to lay a finger on my wife! Supreme Ruler! Naruto. Strictly Naruto/Toki!

No Way Home, Lost Century

Chapter 2

"Memories of a lost time!"

"This is unnecessary. My husband will be the winner. I'm sorry, if you could excuse us, I'm tired and would like to rest a little more.

Oh. Forgive my loving wife for this, holder of Murakumogiri. She sometimes gets a little emotional when using her awakening natural ability in cases similar to this. I imagine you, as a user of a Paramecia class fruit, can understand? In fact, I can't help but say that I was a little disappointed when I noticed that it couldn't evolve into a black blade.

Not again, Naru… you need to find a pupil to learn your way of the sword, husband… I cannot be a slave to your infernal training forever, and you know that, my love. We will visit Kuraigana Island after we pass to see how things are in Wano and everything will be fine.

Gurararara! A woman who says what she thinks. I don't mind. And you seem to know a lot, mind telling me how that happened? I was just sailing with my crew looking for this idiot Oden until we got here. Now, generally I wouldn't say this, but my intention is very clear.

One on one? Very well. Sorry, my queen, take some rest right under that single tree and take Bokken and Bokuto with you. Make one-

A circle around me so that nothing and no one will be able to overcome the barrier that these two spoiled people will create just to protect me. What would I do without you in my life, Naru-kun…

Ahahahaha! You would be fine, my moon goddess. I recognize the strength of your spirit, pirate, so I will be wielding Hiru in this confrontation. My name is Uzumaki D. Naruto. Now tell me what your name is so we can get on with this dance.

Heh. I wonder what Roger would think of that. The size of your Haki is so high that you could only be a 'D'... my name is Edward Newgate, but you can call me Whitebeard.

Ahahahaha! So show me your strength, Whitebeard, and I will show you why I am the only honorable one considered peerless. - Kokutō: Issen! (Black Blade: One Flash!)

Wow! Look at the size of this thing! T-That does not exist! Naruto-dōno is definitely a beast! Be careful, Shiroki-chan!

Hey, Oden! Who do you think you're talking to like that? That's Pops over there – yoi!

Marco! Go to the ship together with Oden! - Naginata Rasetsu! (Mowing Blade Rakshasa!)

Oden-san, please, ask the young man next to you to carry you to the ship and also ask the helmsman not to approach the island at any cost. My husband has a very strong indomitable will…"

The arrival of night brought with it the magnitude of the presence of the most varied stars that dotted the dark veil and covered the immensity of the skies with bright lights.

The previously agitated sea, now seemed to be a little calmer, as if a button had been pressed, and she had to obey a superior will.

Still on the same island where the Uzumaki couple were, they now seemed to be lying around a bonfire made with thick branches from one of the many trees they had on the island, while accompanied by another presence that was rising.

"So… Wano Country, huh?" – whispered Naruto to that someone, as he calmly walked away from the lying position of his wife who was sleeping silently beside him at the fire, and he moved so as not to disturb her rest, placing a simple kiss on the forehead of the woman who sulked softly and stirred in sleep, but still didn't wake up. The blond with the whiskers just smiled a little at the kind sight.

"Huh… yes, friend Naruto. Thank you so much again for you and your wife healing me! I don't know how I can repay you!" – Oden thanked him fervently, looking amazed at how quickly his body had returned to normal after he had transformed into that monstrosity, he thought with amusement, but he had to contain a shudder at the sting of pain.

"I suggest you be a little more careful. I'm not a perfect healer, and neither is my wife, but I believe we've done everything in our power to see that you don't waste our efforts so lightly, especially my wife's." – Naruto said that smiling with his eyes closed, although it didn't seem like such a friendly smile for the heir of the Kozuki, since what Oden felt was far from being a pleasant feeling. Quite the contrary, it even seemed inhumane.

"This man does not deceive me. He's… he's a real beast." – Oden muttered containing another shudder, not because of the pain, but because of the powerful aura present in the clearing.

He couldn't exactly measure where this immense power was coming from, but somehow he knew it could only come from the only man who sat on the other side of the fire, and who at that moment was tending with gentle caresses the sleeping woman's sleep. He couldn't explain it, but he just knew that guy was no joke.

"No need to worry about that. You needed help and we helped you. That is all. Don't feel indebted to us." - Pretending not to notice the injured man's blatant actions, Naruto just continued tending to his wife. He really was lucky to have her.

"But-" – forgetting his daydreams for the moment to try and replicate the blond's kind statement, Kozuki found himself going silent when he received a simple blue sideways glance that said it all, so he closed his mouth and grudgingly listened to the man continue.

It was quite evident that Kozuki Oden didn't feel very good about having someone do something for his health, and he couldn't do anything in return to repay that help.

"It may not seem like that, but we already have everything. We have life, health in abundance, and most importantly… we have each other." – Naruto said those words with a strong, calm tone and it exuded wisdom beyond his years.

However, recognizing a small uneasy moan beside him, he decided to stop himself from continuing, so Oden quietly watched the distance as the blond directed his arm with the palm covered in an orange aura facing his wife's forehead and deposited there.

A gleam of recognition crossed Oden's eyes when he could feel it, but he decided to keep quiet, thinking something else would happen. He was mistaken, because that was it. No sound or anything. Just one move. And soon the feeling that Kozuki felt for a moment, also dissipated.

After that, the woman's grumbling soon stopped, but Oden saw that Naruto still hadn't removed his hand, although the aura had receded, Naruto had now started to brush a few silky strands of his wife's hair, and enjoyed how a weary smile covered her face.

"So you can believe me when I say that everything is fine and you don't have to worry about it." - added Naruto smiling widely and using his free hand he gave Oden a thumbs up.

"I understand, Naruto-dōno." – Oden reluctantly gave in to the man's words, but he couldn't just go along with it, so he chose to award him an honorific respectful of his homeland, large enough to do justice to the man responsible for saving his life in that deplorable situation in that was found.

"Ahahahaha! Only Naruto is fine, Kozuki-san." - despite the strong voice, Naruto's attempt was weak, and he himself already knew that, but he couldn't stop trying, because in comparison the blond was able to see from the other side of the fire how serious the other man was talking.

"I'm sorry to hear that, but I can't call you out on anything other than that, Naruto-dōno. You and your wife saved my life!" - retorted Oden, who didn't seem willing to take no for an answer.

"Huh. I just know that Toki-chan won't let me live in peace after this." - murmured the blond softly with a knowing look crossing his face. - "All right." - he added with a shrug, now addressing Oden, who nodded in thanks.

"So… what you used to heal me was the same move you just used on your wife, Naruto-dōno?" - Oden asked wanting to know in detail what exactly had happened to him, the moment he was healed, only to receive additional healing care, such as bandages and some herbs that were doing wonders in his recovery, from what he could feel. He couldn't help but be grateful for what the couple had done.

"Oh! That one? Correct. It was just a small infusion of Ryūō through spiritual emission, so its outer defenses were easily bypassed, allowing me to reach inside without destroying it, in order to locate and terminate the problem after an initial sweep of observation premeditated with advanced Ryūō. Nothing else." – Naruto revealed uninterested, lightly waving his hand as if it really was no big deal.

On the other side, Oden had to catch his dropping jaw with one hand and keep his wide eyes from falling with the other. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"What?! That… how… I never… you are so excellent at Ryūō, Naruto-dōno?!" – Honestly speaking, Oden looked pretty amazed by the detailed descriptions the man had given, because his eyes sparkled with sincere curiosity.

"Maybe I be." - Naruto answered in an enigmatic way raising his head to face the stars. - "Come on. Tell me a little more about your story." - he asked looking at Oden, who if possible would have the stars in place of his eyes with so much enthusiasm.

"Ok! My name is Kozuki Oden, and I am..." - while honestly answering the question posed by his savior, inside Oden was thinking about how big the world was. He didn't know that people were this strong outside of Wano! Amazing! Naruto-dōno is amazing!

"Hmm. So you are the heir of the Kozuki clan?" - asked Naruto with an unreadable look on his face as he stared at Oden who blinked at that part.

"Huh? Yes. Why?" - confirmed Oden, and he could guarantee that he saw Naruto's eyes gain a different shine with his answer, although he didn't look malicious at all, just interested.

"This could turn out to be interesting. Tell me… what do you know about the Uzumaki clan of the Wano Lands?" - Naruto asked casually looking at the man who was a few meters taller than him.

"Uzumaki Clan of Wano? Forgive me, Naruto-dōno, but I never heard anything about it." - unfortunately Oden had never heard about the Uzumaki Clan in his entire life, except for the one time he caught his father muttering to himself about whirlpools all over Wano. He was small back then, and despite being strong, he was still very ignorant in certain ways, so he brushed it off as his father's daydream.

"Oh, oh. I see. Fine." - the blond already imagined that, so he didn't seem worried externally. Internally it was a different matter, as he had his mind working at uncanny speed on certain matters.

"I apologize again for not being of much help, Naruto-dōno. I wish I could do more!" - with no way of knowing what the blond was thinking, Oden understood those words as a sign of disgust and offered another apology.

"Like I said, Kozuki-san, it's okay." - Naruto dismissed it calmly with a wide smile. - "I just asked out of curiosity. And besides, I'm sure you noticed the resemblance between my family name and yours."

"Well... yes. I noticed, but hesitated to ask about it." - Oden replied, now a little calmer when he realized that the blond really wasn't bothered by his lack of information about the history of the Uzumaki clan.

"I understand. And you have questions, don't you? Let's see..." - when Naruto said that, he stopped for a brief moment. Oden looked up only to see the man's blue eyes flash quickly to orange and then back to their natural color, then a characteristic smile crept across Naruto's face who nodded slightly as if he saw something that wasn't there yet. - "What are your questions?"

"I just want to know how you seem to know so much about my family and Wano Country, if I'm not being too intrusive." - Ignoring what had happened to the man's eyes, Oden just decided to put it aside as a simple optical illusion and moved on with what he wanted to ask.

"The story is a little long." - Resting his elbows on his knees, Naruto stared at the other man for a few more seconds and then spoke again. - "Given your previous confessions, I can already assume that the Kozuki Family has been part of the Wano Country shogunate for some time now. Am I right so far?" - after receiving a nod of confirmation from Oden, he then chose to continue taking his right hand to caress his chin. - "So the leaders of the Shimotsuki Family, as well as the Kurozumi Family, Uzuki, Amatsuki and Fugetsu serve as Daimyo." - the blond added in a murmur, but not low enough for Oden not to catch.

"Wait... how do you know all this..." - Oden muttered to himself at first, but then an imaginary lightbulb seemed to light up next to the man's head, when he started to get anxious with the small implications.

Naruto laughed a little at that. - "I think you're already understanding, Kozuki-san, although I don't care much about it, so you don't have to worry."

"Naruto-dōno... who are you really?" - Kozuki Oden was an energetic and outgoing man, even those who didn't know him personally were able to perceive these factors, simply by looking at his attitudes, but at that moment he seemed more anxious than anything.

"Ahahahaha! I believe that now the rabbit is out of the box and it is too late to hide such an obvious fact." - Naruto spoke with a guiltless smile, getting up to start dusting his robes and after that stopping with his left hand resting above the hilt of the saber. - "Allow me to introduce myself a little more formally, Oden, heir to the honorable Kozuki Family." - he added, being accompanied by an Oden who had his eyes widening with the statement that followed.

"My name is Uzumaki D. Naruto, son of Kushina of the renowned Uzumaki clan, an exceptional user of the Red Ryūō, and Minato of the Namikaze clan, an incomparable user of the Yellow Ryūō. Last, but not least, I am the First and Only King of Wano and its Supreme Ruler, married to the First Queen of Wano, Uzumaki D. A. Toki." – Naruto dropped the bomb that seriously stunned the other listener.

The fire's flame seemed to flicker a little in response, but without any visible change other than Oden's scandalous reaction.

"WHA-" – Oden's shouting exclamation couldn't be completed in time, because the blond interrupted him with a low laugh.

"Ahahahaha! Amazing presentation, isn't it?" – The laughter was accompanied by a strong wind that almost knocked the Kozuki heir from his position.

However, a serious look wandered across the blond's hardened face. – "Contain your screams next time. My wife is sleeping now." – Naruto added, returning to sit next to his wife, scolding him harshly with a strong voice, turning a complete 180, facing the man who nodded, swallowing hard, feeling the intention.

"Sorry, sorry, Naruto-dōno! I am surprise. Is this… really true?" – Oden whispered, feeling his own throat go dry after being attacked by an avalanche of murderous intent, but this quickly disappeared after the apology.

Strange.

Then he relaxed a little, seeing that Naruto's stance hadn't become completely aggressive towards him.

"Yes, Kozuki-san. Is there a problem with that?" - the knowing tone of voice used by Naruto went unnoticed in the confusion that was being caused inside Oden's mind, so he wasn't able to see the Uzumaki's eyes changing color and settling in orange for longer than usual, before returning to normal once more, only unlike the last few times, now the blue eyes harbored an orange circular dot in the background.

Naruto just smirked at this funny development.

"Not! It's just that Wano Country is ruled by a shogunate, and I've never heard of kings back home! So how can that be possible?!" - Oden was exasperated, pulling his hair, while questioning and at the same time trying to understand how to fit this new revelation into everything he knew about his homeland.

Was it really possible that Wano was like that?

And if so, how could this man say he was the first king, disregarding that he was in a time when Wano Country is ruled by a shogunate, so the Shogun held the greatest military power, not a King or Queen?

Arghh! He needed a giant bowl full of oden immediately or his head would explode!

Unfortunately his wishes weren't going to be granted anytime soon, so Naruto wisely came to his rescue.

"Not kings, Kozuki-san. King, as in only one. Only me. And well... you've never heard anything about it and no other soul will in a long time, because I was also the one who brought about the end of the monarchy in Wano, as well as starting the shogunate under the direct command of the Kozuki clan. Of course, as long as there was an heir." - Naruto revealed this information with a guilty smile on his face, eyes shining, and scratched the back of his head knowing exactly where this was going to lead.

"What?!"

"Besides… I assume your father's name is… Kozuki Sukiyaki, isn't it?"

"EHHHH!"

As morning began to peek over the horizon, Kozuki Oden's first lucid movement followed suit, but he was startled by the sounds of clashing clashes just a few meters away from his position in the clearing, and some grunts escaping with every impact a wooden sound made when it hit something.

"Again! Once again!"

"I'm trying, Naru-kun, but you're too strong!"

"Don't talk, dear. Just close your eyes and try to be one with your blade."

"Easy for you to say, silly blond and stupidly wonderful..."

"What is my lovely wife whispering there? I couldn't hear very well."

"Hyaaa!"

"Ahahahaha! Let's step up! And if you surprise me, I might just give you a reward, my moon goddess."

"Kyaaa! Really, Naru-kun?!"

"Affirmative. Now… come to me!"

Kozuki Oden was still quite worn out from the previous events, including the extremely illuminating conversation he had with Naruto during the early hours, so he didn't need much to ignore the loud sounds and go back to sleep with an audible snoring as if nothing was happening.

He would only wake up again towards the end of the afternoon, while the couple continued with their training regimen without notable interruptions in the course of it.

Once the training was over, Naruto carried off his aching wife bridal style to take a shower and recharge, taking advantage of the fact that they had left Oden resting a few meters away, to talk and catch up. Never forgetting the obligatory functions of a young and passionate couple.

Uzumaki Toki, as she liked to be called, now felt incredibly satisfied, smiling widely all the way with flushed cheeks, as she and her husband walked, calmly walking away from the last position, in view of the fact that the bath had come to an end, and then the much-needed conversation that lasted about 6 hours as well.

The beautiful woman with light green hair let out a sigh of contentment, free of frustrations, although she limped a little, while resting her head on her husband's chest, who in response wrapped an arm around her waist, and she smiled a little more for that.

"So..." - Toki was the first to try to speak. Keyword, she tried, but she was interrupted by a shout of joy that sounded in the distance, from the same position where they had left that man. She raised a delicate eyebrow at that and narrowed her eyes to see if her husband knew something she didn't.

"He woke up." - Naruto answered his wife's unspoken question, predicting that would happen. Toki nodded in thanks to her husband, although she herself had already noticed, when she managed to identify the crazy run that the hyperactive man began to give, skidding on his feet until he stopped in front of the couple who remained unshakable with the new arrival.

"Shiroki-chan came to get me!" - Oden communicated excitedly looking at the two lovers, who just stared blankly at him in a bittersweet combination of blue and green, at least that's what it seemed to the womanizing heir of the Kozuki Family.

He then raised his arm to point towards the sea, showing the couple where to look. They nodded together when they could see the ship of gigantic proportions sailing through the waters with a very obvious destination.

"Oh? Do you know the people on that ship?" - curiously it wasn't the blond who said those words, but Toki, who had an unusually serious look on her adorable features.

"Yes!" - Oden seemed not to realize this as he shouted excitedly. He was anxious to sail that ship again, but he didn't know if he would be accepted, since he lost the bet by intentionally disengaging himself from the cord that held him to the vessel a few days ago.

"They look like pirates, Naru-kun..." - whispered Toki, still comfortably leaning against her husband's chest, who just waved silently and had blue eyes that began to shine fixed on the horizon. Paying attention to a single figure with blond hair with the iconic half moon mustache above the upper lip.

"Pirates?"

"Do not worry! They're pirates, but they're nice people. Nothing like those guys that were on the island."

"I'll trust your words, Kozuki-san. But listen..."

In the sea a few meters from the island - Aboard the Whitebeard Pirates' Moby Dick ship

"Pops! I see Oden!"

"Oden-sama!"

"What are we waiting for then? Sail to the island so we can get this idiot once and for all."

"But wait! Looks like he's not alone? Who are those?"

"It appears to be a man and a woman. I can't say I've seen them anywhere before."

"I don't recognize it either."

"Yoi! Something feels wrong there!"

"Huh? What are you all yapping about there? Give it to me so I can see it."

Back to the island

"… understood, Naruto-dōno, but I swear to you that I didn't mean to do anything wrong! Sorry!" – shouted Kozuki Oden raising his hands in the universal sign of surrender, trying in vain to appease the sudden fury of the man who didn't seem to like hearing such words being said. Wow! He had only said a few things!

"Excellent." – replied the blond without changing his posture, even making a move to grab one of his four blades, but his hand ended up being grabbed by Toki, who saw it happen a mile away, and decided to end it, instead, she slipped her husband's hands around her curvaceous waist.

"You didn't have to do that, Naru-kun. I think he already understood." – the beautiful woman said it with a small smile, nudging the blond lightly with her left elbow. Toki did this gently trying to help the poor man who was perspiring nervously when it became apparent that he was still going to be seriously stared at by a disgruntled Uzumaki.

Naruto held the gaze for a while longer, frightening Oden more and more by the intensity of that gaze, but then the blond made a sound in recognition of his wife's actions, returning to face the ship with the head of a whale that had docked in a different point of the island.

"Kenbun Goroshi! (Observation Killing!)"

It was at that moment that the air was saturated with an immense Ryūō, and his eyes acquired the hue of bright orange quickly changing to blue, only to settle in the middle ground, where blue was still present in its entirety, only with the addition of an orange circle in the center of the pupil, so the Uzumaki took advantage of this to pull Toki's body closer to his at the end of it.

Kozuki Oden audibly sighed for release. That look wasn't good at all!

The woman known as Uzumaki D. A. Toki just shook her head a little at her husband's characteristic antics, despite knowing him since she was a little girl, some things just don't change, she thought with a smile and soon after opened her mouth in sync with the husband to whisper.

"Three steps to the left, an octopus and a whale."

"In our past, everything was a little simpler… or frantic and complicated.

There was a Great Kingdom at that time, but everything went down the drain, literally.

The first thing that won me over were his blue eyes. So bright, but at the same time so transparent.

The only pair of eyes capable of bringing out the best in me with so much love and care that to this day, despite traveling together for so long across the timeline, it still manages to extract my best emotions.

Becoming the Queen of Wano was not in my plans.

Honestly, it never has been. What could be said about another member of my clan in those times?

There was nothing I felt in myself that was capable of catching the attention of such an incredible person, although I am not negligent to the point of belittling myself, but simply knew my place.

However, everything I thought and thought was completely turned upside down when I met him.

The brightest light in my world, my safe haven.

Mine and only my Naruto.

Silly husband, if you are reading this, know that I love you so much. If I could quantify it in words, not even lost centuries would be able to hide the eternal sea of love I feel for you.

Now that we are here, I think it would be counterproductive to move forward into the year of prophecy. I feel like we should start living our lives more and I know my husband would agree with me on that matter.

I think it's the right time for both of us to start building our own family. I can't count how many times I've dreamed about our copies wandering around and bringing in the dawn. They will be so cute when they grow up…

I love you, Naru-kun.

Until the end of time."

Author's Notes: With this impressive chapter we discover a little more about the origins of the daring couple who cross time. They are not small fish!

Are you enjoying the pairing so far?

Not only that, but the identity of yet another blade was also revealed. Hiru is one of the four blades in Naruto's possession.

Literally, 'Hiru' means 'Day', which is the perfect counterpart to another blade that also belongs to the set of 12 Supreme Grade Blades.

I do everything with class, quality and responsibility.

As always, the continuation of the story will depend on the things that are expressed. So review aloud! I certainly won't spend my time writing from a simple smartphone to not receive any kind of review, be it good or bad, but with respect.
