The happy truth is every day is an adventure, and I'm really looking forward to what comes next!"
Out on the ocean, a boat was taking the kids somewhere. Lillie was holding onto Snowy as she held onto her hat from blowing away. "Everybody, I can see it now!" said Lillie, looking back at the others.
"Awesome!" said Ash.
"There it is! Aether Paradise!" said Lillie as the boat arrives and docks at the port.
"Wow, its gigantic!" said Ash.
"I think we can fit every Pokémon trainer from Kanto in here." said Jordan.
"Cario!" said Meeko.
"Welcome to you, one and all!" said Faba, greeting the kids.
"Yes, welcome!" said Wicke, not far behind Faba.
"Hey, it's Faba and Wicke, too!" said Ash.
"Thank you both so much for coming all the way out here to meet and greet us." said Lillie.
"We're excited to see you again and meet all of your friends." Wicke said to Lillie.
"It must be nice to be back here after so long, little Miss Lillie." said Faba.
"I'd appreciate if you wouldn't refer to me as little Miss Lillie, please." begged Lillie.
"But you'll always be a darling little miss to me." said Faba.
"I don't like him. I don't like him at all." muttered Jordan.
"Neither do I." Meeko said in agreement.
"You promised that you both would behave." Ash said to them.
"Pika, Pika." added Pikachu, agreeing with Ash.
"They don't have any proof that Meeko did anything." said Jordan. "We were nowhere near that book when it hit the man."
"Yeah, Ash and Pikachu. You both need evidence on that argument." Meeko said, nodding.
"Besides, you know very well that Professor Kukui doesn't have cameras down in the basement." Jordan tells her brother. "So there's no actual physical evidence that Meeko did anything to the man."
"So top that, big brother Ketchum." said Meeko, pushing Ash's hat down in front of his face.
"Do you know where my mother is?" she asked Wicke and Faba, ignoring the conversation behind her.
"Of course!" Wicke replied. "She's in her living quarters awaiting your arrival."
"What?" asked Lillie, shocked. "But the reason I brought everybody here is because she invited us to see all the work you do!"
"I'm afraid your mother's work leaves little time off." Faba said, shrugging and leans in closer. "By the way, my little Miss, might….you…..have brought Nebby here with you?"
"Nebby's right here." said Ash, showing Faba as Nebby pops out. Faba cries out in glees as he goes for Nebby, who then teleports out of Ash's backpack and accidentally picks up Rowlet.
"Pika?" asked Pikachu.
"Give Rowlet back." said Jordan, crossing her arms as Rowlet rolled in Faba's hand, surprised that he picked it up. Luckily, Jordan chases after Rowlet, catching the quail Pokémon in her arms after Faba throws it.
"You okay, Rowlet?" asked Jordan, concerned as she looks it over. Rowlet trilled in happiness, giving her a wing up. "Good, cause we don't want you to have a broken wing."
"Thanks for catching Rowlet, sis." said Ash, then angrily glares at Faba. "What was that for?"
"That wasn't nice." said Lillie.
"I do beg your forgiveness. Thank you." said Faba without apologizing for what he did to Rowlet.
"Ash, Jordan, I'm so sorry." said Lillie.
"Everything's okay." said Ash.
"Meeko can give him a couple of good punches if that helps, Lillie." suggested Jordan. "Better yet, Meeko can give him a good Aura Sphere right in his butt."
"Tempting." said Lillie and Ash.
"It doesn't have to be right now. Just let me know when you're ready." said Jordan.
"I wouldn't mind using Bone Rush on the man either." said Meeko.
"So, little Miss Lillie. Shall we proceed to the residence?" asked Faba.
"Wait. I thought you were going to give us a tour of Aether Paradise." said Lillie.
"There will be plenty of time for that after you visit your mother." said Faba. "Now, if you please…."
"Follow me. This way…." said Wicke, showing them the way.
"We bid you welcome." said Jessie as the kids walked by Team Rocket.
"Aether Paradise awaits." said James. When Team Rocket looks up, they see Jordan and Meeko standing in front of them.
"Honestly, this is the best disguise that the three of you came up with in a really long time. And the Bewear malasada uniforms too." said Jordan.
"You think so?" asked Meowth.
"Yeah….I'm impressed. I give you guys credit on that." said Jordan.
"Thanks." said Jessie and James.
"Lucario, Lucar." said Meeko then both of them caught up with the others as Team Rocket laughs.
"Almost there…." said Wicke as they exited an elevator.
"I love surprise guests." said Jessie as they followed the group. "There's nothing quite as satisfying as having school Twerps fall right into our gloved hands."
"Talk about unexpected…." said James, looking around Aether Paradise.
[Flashback]
"Get them while their hot." said Team Rocket from their food truck. "Our Bewear Brand Honey Malasadas."
"Wobbu-Wobbu!" said Wobbuffet, popping up behind Team Rocket as a Wingull cawed overhead.
"Nothing. Not a single customer." said Jessie.
"Is that tally correct?" James asked Meowth.
"We must've had one. We're a malasada short." said Meowth.
"Which is simply because I ate the missing one myself." said Jessie.
"Excuse me!" said Faba, walking up to the food truck. "Perhaps you'd like to work at something less exhausting. I mean you, talking Meowth!"
"Oh yeah?" he asked, skeptically.
[Flashback ends]
"And that's how we all became that geezer's employees." said James. "But on an unexpected note…."
"This turned out to be a super sweet gig!" said Meowth.
"Honey sweet. As if stealing some of the Paradise's Pokémon isn't enough…." said Jessie.
"In plops Pikachu, Meeko and that ridiculous rare Protokoffing." said James.
"If we can bag 'em and bring 'em to the boss, we'll be back on top of his a-list!" said Meowth. Outside a door, Wicke places her hand on a hand scanner. "Now for a short stroll outside." said Wicke. The kids gasped as the doors opened to reveal a humongous house.
"Who knew it was so big?!" said Mallow.
"Lillie, that's your mother's house?" asked Lana.
"She only uses it for work." said Lillie. Team Rocket groans as they see the house. "It gets bigger every time I see that place." said Meowth as Jessie and James nodded their heads in agreement.
"Come on! Lusamine's waiting inside." said Wicke as they followed her. Once inside, the others were amazed.
"Excuse me! The children are here!" Wicke called out and Lusamine walks down towards them.
"It's so good to see you all!" said Lusamine when suddenly her phone rings. "Thank you so much for making the long journey to get here. I'm so sorry about this. Please excuse me. Yes! What is it? Oh, of course. Please forgive the late response…."
"It's nice to be here, Lusamine…." everyone but Lillie said. Jordan and Meeko gave their friend a sad look.
"Are you okay, Lillie?" Jordan asked as Lillie sighs.
"Not really." she tells her.
"Cario?" Meeko asked Snowy.
"Vul….Vulpix." replied Snowy.
"Here you go. Be our guests." said Wicke as she and Faba took the kids to Lusamine's office.
"Looks so good. Thank you." said Sophocles.
"Thank you!" said Ash as he and Sophocles started to stuff their faces.
"It all looks delicious!" said Kiawe, Lana and Mallow.
"Hmm." said Jordan as she takes one for herself and one for Meeko, inspecting it for a second before taking a small bite.
"Lucario." said Meeko, taking a small bite as well.
"Don't forget, there's plenty more where that came from!" Lusamine said to the kids, smiling before turning back to the phone. "Excuse me. No. No problem at all. Now where were we? Yes. Yes. Yes, of course! No, thank you. Thank you very much."
Just then, Faba notices Team Rocket appearing on the other side of the door. "Don't just stand there." he said. "Beverages for everyone."
"Right away sir!" said Team Rocket.
"Looks delish! Thank you!" said Mallow as Meowth pours her some soda.
"I'd rather watch paint dry then serve a dumb twerp." said Jessie, standing next to Sophocles.
"Did you say fries?" Sophocles asked, catching her off guard.
"Yes! It's a joy to provide fresh refreshments!" said James.
"Do you have a bottle of water by any chance?" Jordan asked James. "I would rather drink some water than juice today."
"Coming right up!" said James, getting her some water.
"Thank you!" said Jordan.
"Nebby? Stop!" said Ash as Nebby jumps into a bowl of star candy. "If you eat too many sweets, you'll get a tummy ache!"
"Wah!" said an annoyed Nebby as Ash picks it up from the bowl.
"Okay, that's it!" said Jordan, pouring some water into a cup once James brought a couple of bottles over. "We will not have a hyper active Pokémon with sugar in its system today. You need to drink some water, Nebby."
"Lucari." Meeko said to Nebby.
"Well what do you know?" Faba said to himself as he sees Nebby fussing at Ash and Jordan. "Star candy is its favorite, eh?"
"There! All done! Now, tell me, Lillie." said Lusamine, finishing up what she was writing. "About your schoolwork. Are you managing to keep up?"
"What? You don't think that I'm capable of keeping up?" Lillie asked, coughing after swallowing some soda.
"It was just a thought." Lusamine tells her. "Having you here to catch up with while I work sure makes my job a lot easier, hon. Snowy, don't you think so?"
"Vul." said Snowy.
"Don't tell me this is the only reason you invited everyone to Aether Paradise!" Lillie exclaimed. "At the very least, I thought somebody would give us a tour!"
"Trade?" asked Jordan, holding up a glass of water.
"Trade." said Ash, handing her some juice and both taking a sip from each glass.
"And we will!" Lusamine tells her. "I just thought we could have a nice mother daughter chit chat first….Wait. This one?"
"For-get it!" Lillie shouted at her mother before turning to her friends. "I'll give you the tour myself!"
"Huh?" said Sophocles before turning his attention back to the snacks. "But I didn't get any chocolate cake…." Suddenly Lillie gives Sophocles an icy stare, causing the boy to be frightened. "Right. Whatever you say." he then said.
"Good boy. Don't need to get on her bad side today." said Jordan, smirking.
"Everybody follow me!" said Lillie, leading everyone out of her mother's office.
"Without cake…" grumbled Sophocles.
"It was really yummy." said Ash.
"Pikachu." Pikachu agreed as Nebby giggled happily over Ash's head.
"Wait for me, Nebby. I'm coming!" said Faba, then realizes his mistake. "Oops! I mean…WAIT FOR ME, LITTLE MISS!"
"That's enough sugary stuff for a while." said Jordan, helping Meeko wipe off some of the cake from her face.
"Yeah." said Meeko, dusting off some crumbs that landed on Jordan.
"I'll show them the Pokémon conservation area! Kay?" Wicke said to Lusamine.
"There's a conservation area here?" asked Jordan.
"Sure is!" replied Wicke. Lusamine looks up from her desk, listening.
"Cool! I bet it's better than the Safari Zone back in Kanto." said Jordan. "Its where I caught my Kangaskhan."
"Really? You'll have to tell me more." said Wicke as she takes Jordan by the hand, winking to her boss and follows the others out the door.
"Lucar!" said Meeko, scurrying to Jordan's side.
"The Safari Zone has a lot of cool Pokémon. When Ash and I were there…." Jordan was telling Wicke as they left the office.
"Of course. I know exactly what you're talking about…" Lusamine said to the person on the other end.
"Mother makes me so mad…." said Lillie as she and the others were on the elevator.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" asked Mallow.
"Its fine! Whats not a good idea is waiting for my mother to get off that silly phone of hers!" said an angry Lillie.
"What a bore. The joys of family." said Jessie.
"Ah, the trials of mothers and daughters." said James.
"And here we are." said Wicke as they arrived at the conservation. "This is the pride of the Aether Foundation. The Pokémon conservation area!"
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Lucar!" said Meeko.
"Awesome! Check it out!" said Ash.
"You know…..this is a whole lot better!" said Jordan.
"Qwilfish!" said Qwilfish as it jumps out of the water.
"It feels like we're outdoors." said Lana.
"It's hard to believe that we're inside." said Sophocles.
"Even Charizard would have room to fly." said Kiawe, looking up.
"Look at that!" said Mallow, turning her attention to Steenee as she was surrounded by a horde of Bounsweet.
"Steenee." said Steenee, picking up a Bounsweet and hugging it affectionately.
"That's the cutest thing!" said Mallow.
"Pop!" said Popplio as she looks out at the small pond by the bridge.
"What, Popplio? Did you see something?" asked Lana.
"Whats that?" asked Sophocles as several bubbles came up to the surface.
"Toge?" asked Togedemaru. Just then, Professor Burnet appeared with seaweed on her and scaring Sophocles. "AAHH! Scary!" screamed Sophocles.
"Toge." said Togedemaru.
"That's not the nicest greeting I've ever received." said Burnet as Munchlax shakes off the seaweed.
"Professor Burnet! Hi!" said Ash as Jordan waves at her.
"Ash? Do you and Jordan actually know her?" Sophocles asked.
"Of course! Alola, Ash and Jordan!" said Burnet.
"Professor Burnet has been generous enough to help Mother out with all of her research." Lillie explained. "So, Professor Burnet, I'd like you to meet my friends who go to the Pokémon school with me."
"Alola!" said the others.
"Alola!" said Burnet. "I'd like all of you to meet my partner, Munchlax."
"Munchlax, Munchlax, Munch!" Munchlax said, greeting everyone.
"Pika! Lucar!" Pikachu and Meeko greeted back.
"So, what kind of research are you working on today, Professor?" asked Ash.
"I'm seeing if this habitat is truly a sound place for Pokémon to live." Burnet explained. "That involves a lot of diving."
"Although there really is no reason to dive, is there?" asked Faba.
"Oh, yes. I think mixing my hobbies with productive work is good for everyone." said Burnet.
"Oh, I think it's just wonderful!" said Wicke.
"Hm!" said Faba.
"Aether Paradise is a man-made island created by the Aether Foundation for the purpose of protecting Pokémon." said Burnet as she shows the kids all the different Pokémon.
"We take Pokémon in when they're injured or separated from their friends." Wicke added. "We take in Pokémon from all regions and when they recovered, we release them back into the wild."
"Cool!" said Jordan as they all looked around in awe. Nebby comes out of Ash's back and takes a look around as well. "No time like the present." said Team Rocket, once they had spotted Nebby. Wicke and Burnet lead the kids to a small building on the conservation. "Look over there." said Burnet and the kids looked inside.
"Hey, those are Ditto." said Sophocles.
"I think I've heard of them before." said Mallow.
"That's my cue!" said Rotom. "Ditto. The transform Pokémon. A normal type. Ditto can rearrange their bodies' cells to change into other life forms."
"Great. Thanks, Rotom." said Ash.
"I've never seen one in person." said Lana.
"Ash and I have. Only that Ditto transformed into other things too besides life forms." said Jordan.
"That Ditto was a fun one." said Ash.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu, nodding.
"Lucario." said Meeko.
"They're incredible." said Lillie.
"If they were to transform, there's no way we'd be able to tell these Ditto from the other Pokémon." said Wicke. "That's why we keep them in their own separate room."
"Wait. Should you be opening the door?" asked Ash, as the professor opens the door.
"It's time for their vaccinations." said Burnet. "How would you all like to help me out?"
"Of course!" said the kids. Wicke gasps in excitement as Faba growls at them.
"They're so calm." said Mallow as five out of seven kids held the Ditto in their arms.
"Now, you might feel a little pinch." Professor Burnet said to the first Ditto in Ash's arms. "Ready?"
"Ditto!" squeaked Ditto as it felt the pinch.
"There." she said as Burnet gave one to another Ditto. "There. Good! Next!" Soon enough, Sophocles brought over the last Ditto. "You're the last one today." said Burnet when suddenly Ditto escapes.
"Ditto!" said the scared Ditto, stretching over everyone's head, causing Lillie to duck in fear and Ditto hits Faba in his face, then falls back and accidentally opens the door.
"We've got a Ditto on the loose!" screamed Rotom.
"Better yet, it's a frightened Ditto on the loose!" said Jordan as Ditto went out in the conservation.
"Lucar!" said Meeko, pointing at the door.
"Manual Labor mode! This is some load!" said Team Rocket as they pulled a bag of trash behind them.
"Why pull this pile?" Jessie asked James. "What's it for? How is this helping us to catch Protokoffing?"
"How?!" he asked. "The answer's a bit smelly…."
"It's a LOT smelly, dude!" said Meowth.
"Our noses are going to fall off!" Team Rocket finally said with their hands over their noses.
"Since Koffing and Wheezing are attracted to the smell, Protokoffing must be attracted to the smell of garbage, so this is what we have to do!" said James.
"What a rotten deal!" whined Team Rocket as Faba climbs the stairs and finds them.
"Alright! Hold it right there!" Faba said to Team Rocket. "Have you seen a Ditto….what is that awful smell?! Oh, that. Its garbage!"
"Very astute observation." said James.
"We were hot on the garbage dump trail, but lost the scent." said Jessie.
"Did you see it?" asked Ash and Jordan as they caught up with Sophocles and Kiawe.
"I got nothing. Not a trace." said Kiawe.
"What about you?" Burnet asked Mallow, Lillie and Lana.
"I'm afraid not." said Mallow.
"I'm sorry." said Lillie, apologetically. "If only I had caught it back there when I had the chance!"
"Lillie, it's not your fault!" Wicke assured her.
"This whole thing happened because that Ditto hates vaccinations." said Burnet.
"I can't say I'm too fond of them myself." said Sophocles as Kiawe nodded in agreement.
"Me, either. 'Cause they hurt." said Ash.
"Some are scared while others aren't. I'm not afraid of getting one." said Jordan, then turns to her brother with a smile. "I've always had Ash there to make me smile."
"You see?" asked Lana.
"Thank you." said Lillie.
"Don't worry! Then we'll all split up and find it!" said Mallow.
"Jordan, you thinking what I'm thinking?" asked Ash.
"You know it, big brother. Meeko." said Jordan.
"Alright!" said Meeko.
"I'm glad that you have Meeko with you as your Pokémon partner." said Sophocles.
"You never know when you need Meeko." said Jordan then turns to Meeko. "Meeko, we need help finding a Ditto that's somewhere in the conservation. Can you help us?"
"Lucario!" said Meeko, nodding and ready to help.
"I wonder if it's already transformed into some other Pokémon." said Kiawe.
"They have amazing powers of transformation. It's difficult to tell them from the real thing." said Rotom, as Jordan looks around him as the others gasped. "What's wrong with all of you? Why is Jordan making that face?"
"Well…I know for a fact that Professor Kukui only gave me and Ash one Pokedex with a Rotom in it, not two." said Jordan, pointing to what was behind Rotom as he turns around in shock.
"Whats going on?" asked Ash. "Did someone put some sort of mirror up there or something?"
"I'm not aware of any mirrors up there." said Wicke.
"No mirrors? Then, that must be….." said Mallow.
"Ditto!" said Ditto, in its Rotom transformation before running away. "Ditto, Ditto."
"I can't believe it transformed into me!" shouted Rotom.
"You should be honored that it did." said Jordan.
"Come back!" Ash shouted after Ditto and runs in chase. "Where's that Ditto?"
"It disappeared." said Mallow.
"Steenee." said a worried Steenee when they all looked at the Exeggcute on the ground.
"Did you find it?" asked Kiawe.
"Meeko, seek out Ditto from behind." said Jordan staring at one particular Exeggcute. "It's Aura time."
"Lucari." said Meeko and heads over to the Exeggcute, trying to sense the scared Ditto from each group of eggs.
"That Exeggcute…." said Mallow. "There's something strange about it…..but I can't put my finger on it…."
"Wait a sec." said Lillie as Meeko gets closer. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven? Hey, that's the only Exeggcute with an extra egg!"
"Lucario!" Meeko called out, finding the Exeggcute, causing Ditto to turn around.
"Ditto!" it taunted the kids as it transformed back into its body, then runs away.
"Nothing." said Kiawe as he and Ash stood in front of a group of Jigglypuff.
"I know that it came this way." said Ash.
"Cario!" shouted Meeko, looking at the Jigglypuff group, gaining both boys attention.
"Look at that one there!" said Lillie as she and Jordan ran up.
"That Jigglypuff's turned away from us." said Jordan.
"Jiggly?" questioned the transformed Ditto, looking at the kids. "Ditto!"
"It looks like even when a Ditto transforms, its eyes give it away!" said Sophocles.
"He's right! Then all we have to do is look for a Pokémon with eyes that look like dots!" said Rotom.
"Right! Now, there's no doubt we'll find it!" said Ash as they ran up to another group of Pokémon.
"They're Quagsire!" said Rotom as Lana and Mallow got their first.
"Something's wrong…." said Lana.
"Ditto's one of them!" said Kiawe.
"Look for the one with dots for eyes." said Ash. "That'll be Ditto for sure."
"I don't think so, Ash." said Jordan.
"But there's just one tiny thing….." said Lillie as all the Quagsire turned around. "All Quagsire have dots for eyes."
"Just like their pre-evolved form, Wooper." said Jordan.
"THAT'S NOT GONNA HELP!" shouted Ash.
"You should've remembered that one." said Jordan.
"Yeah, Ash." said Meeko.
"Those dopes are running all over the place." said Meowth, looking through the Team Rocket binoculars. "At this rate, we won't be able to catch a cold!"
"Wobbu! Wobbu! Wobbu!" said Wobbuffet.
"I suggest we just kick back and relax until the Twerps find a place to collapse." said Jessie, then pops something in her mouth.
"What are you eating?" asked James.
"Jealous are we?" she asked, showing him the star candy in her hand. "I grabbed a few from the kitchen." Just then, Nebby appears next to Jessie and squeals that she has star candy, causing Team Rocket to scream.
"Protokoffing." shrieked James. Nebby eats the piece of star candy from Jessie's hand and teleports away. "Hey! Where'd it go? Where'd it GO?" James asked.
"Psy!" said Ditto as it had transformed into a Psyduck.
"Now we've got you." said Ash.
"It'll be okay, Ditto." said Jordan. "You don't have to be scared."
"Psy." said Ditto, refusing to go back to the building when it looked up to see the Pokémon behind the kids. "Duck!"
Ditto jumped and created a dust cloud when it landed. The Pokémon scattered back to their trainers, scared by what Ditto did. "Oh, no! Snowy, are you all right?" Lillie asked when her partner walked up but she then shrieks and backs away. "Wait, why wouldn't I be able to touch Snowy?"
"Vul!" said Snowy, walking up beside her and butts her head.
"Snowy?" asked Lillie.
"Vul!" Snowy tells her.
"Hold on. Then this one is….." said Lillie, looking down at the Pokémon in front of her.
"Meow." said Ditto, looking up at Lillie in Snowy's form. Jumping over her, Ash tackles Ditto.
"Ha! Gotcha!" said Ash, holding Ditto over his head.
"Ditto." whined Ditto.
"Ash, that was amazing." said Lillie. Out of nowhere, Nebby appears with star candy.
"It'll be over soon." said Burnet as Wicke held the Ditto on her lap.
"Dit!" screamed Ditto as it felt the shot Burnet gave it.
"You see? That was fast!" said Burnet.
"Hey, little one." said Jordan, walking up to Ditto. "Do you want a hug for at least being brave?"
"Ditto!" Ditto squealed, jumping into her arms.
"That's better." she said, giggling and giving Ditto a hug as Professor Burnet smiles. "No more running off, okay? Everyone hates getting a shot, even little kids like me. But know this, it's medicine to help keep you healthy. You don't want to get sick and spread it around to other Pokémon, right?"
"Ditto! Ditto!" it said, nodding.
"Good, because we don't want other Pokémon to be sick." said Jordan as Wicke takes Ditto from Jordan's arms.
"All done! Now stay put." said Wicke as she places Ditto in the crate.
"Lucario. Cari, Cari." Meeko explained to Ditto through the crate.
"Thank goodness." said Lillie.
"It's only because you reacted so quickly." said Ash.
"I'm glad I was able to help out a little bit." said Lillie.
"Thank you. You were all a really big help." said Professor Burnet.
"Yes, we couldn't have done it without you." said Wicke as the kids start laughing. "That reminds me. Just yesterday, two Comfey were taking a nap side by side and they got tangled up. It was awful!"
"Sounds like a challenge." said Burnet. "Plus a Pikipek mistook a Sudowoodo for a tree and caused an uproar."
"Working with Pokémon every day, there's always something new." Wicke added as Burnet nodded in agreement.
"Oh, wow. Must be hard." said Sophocles.
"Even so, we want to help them even in an untamed state and return them to the wild." said Wicke. "That's why we're here. Why Lillie's mom tirelessly leads the Aether foundation!"
"That's so amazing! Your mom is so amazing!" said Ash, turning to Lillie. "Wow, Lillie. She's the best!"
"Oh brother." said Jordan.
"Well….I guess maybe you're right." said Lillie.
"Lillie?" Lusamine called out and enters the Ditto building. "Hello?"
"Hi, mother!" said Lillie.
"Are you all right?" she asked. "I received a report that a Ditto got loose."
"You're late!" Lillie said angrily as she turns away. "We worked together and got it back! Everything's fine now!"
"Lillie, I think that's wonderful!" exclaimed Lusamine. "Good for you, sweetheart! You're amazing. That's my cute little baby girl!"
"Do you have to do this with everybody watching?" Lillie asked as her mother brings her in for a hug.
"Hm?" both mother and daughter said as Lusamine's phone rings.
"Yes? This is Lusamine." Lusamine said into her phone. "Oh, that? Hm? What do we think? The Aether Foundation strongly agrees with your position…."
"Well!" said Lillie, turning to her friends who were giggling.
"Vul?" asked Snowy, looking up at her trainer. Behind Lillie and Snowy, Faba glares at the kids as he taps his fingers on his arm.
"I can't say I approve of little Miss Lillie being able to touch Pokémon." Faba said to himself as he walks away from the conservation area and towards the elevator. "If this pattern leads her to recall memories of that time, it would be…a problem."
Climbing out of Ash's backpack, Nebby decided to teleport. Somewhere under Aether Paradise, Team Rocket walked aimlessly around. "Aw! This is getting ridiculous." said Jessie.
"Where could that confounded Protokoffing be?" asked James.
"You know what?" asked Jessie. "I think we're walking around in circles…."
"So we are…." said James.
"Eh?" asked Meowth, looking up and sees a light. "That door's open."
"But it was previously closed, wasn't it?" asked James.
"Protokoffing? Yoo-hoo!" Jessie called out for Nebby.
"Show your rare face." said James.
"What?" Jessie asked as Team Rocket looks around the room. "It looks like some kind of laboratory."
"Let's take a peek." said Meowth, running up to a desk. "What's this?" On top of a cabinet, James picks up a piece of paper with Type Null's picture on it. "Experimentation with Pokémon?" said James reading the paper out loud.
"Hmm." said Jessie, putting more star candy in her mouth.
"Let's see….Type: Null's anti-Ultra beasts powers are…." James said reading.
"Anti-Ultra Beast?" asked Jessie, through a mouth full of star candy.
"My whiskers are tingling." said Meowth, seeing his whiskers bend a certain way. "Uh-oh. This isn't good. I got a feeling this is information we shouldn't be looking at."
"Wobbu, Wobbuffet, Wobbu!" said Wobbuffet. Just then, Nebby appears and picks up a star candy that Jessie accidentally dropped. Team Rocket then sees Nebby on the ground.
"It's Protokoffing!" shouted Jessie and James. Just as the two of them aim for Nebby, it flies up and towards Meowth.
"Yeah! GOT YA!" said Meowth, grabs Nebby and falls flat on his face. "Ow…"
"You!" shouted Faba as Nebby disappears from Team Rocket's grasp. "What do you think you're doing in my research laboratory?"
"Your laboratory? No, no, no! We were on a walk! Nothing more!" Jessie tells Faba.
"Nothing more!" said James in agreement. "We were doing so little, it's just as if we were doing nothing at all!"
"Hmm." growled Faba as Nebby floats up to him.
"Look!" shouted Jessie and James, pointing to where Nebby was. Nebby teleports away as Faba turns his head.
"I guess it was nothing." said Faba. "After all, there's nothing there to see, is there?"
"Only the glasses on your wise face." said James, meekly.
"We were seeing so little, it's just as if we were seeing nothing at all." said Jessie. Team Rocket starts laughing nervously as Faba gets closer to them and joins in their laughter.
