"I was surprised when a runaway Ditto disguised itself to look exactly like Snowy. I'm so glad we found it. But, even though we had a great time, I know I have to stop my mother from treating me like a child, no matter what! That's how she's been making me feel lately, and I don't like it."
Outside of Kukui's house, Ash and Jordan had two washtubs in front of them to wash their Pokémon. "Pika, Pika." said Pikachu as Ash scrubs him.
"Feeling good there, Pikachu?" asked Ash.
"Lucar, Lucario." said Meeko as Jordan washes her as she had already bathed Harmony.
"Feels great, huh, Meeko?" asked Jordan.
"Cha! Pikachu!" squealed Pikachu as Meeko nodded.
"Lycanroc." said Lycanroc, a little jealous that Pikachu and Meeko were getting baths.
"Lycan." said Emma, feeling skeptical about having a bath.
"Pika! Pika!"
"Cario! Cario!"
"It looks like it feels great!" said Rotom.
"Rub-a-dub-dub….. Rub-a-dub-dub!" said Ash, tickling a soapy Pikachu.
"I'm gonna get you." said Jordan as Meeko flicked some soap water at her. Nebby looked down at both siblings, confused as a small group bubbles floated up and surprised it. "Do you like that? Its poofy just like you are!" said Ash.
"The bubbles won't hurt you." Jordan said gently.
"Cario." said Meeko, smiling.
"Pika, Pika." Pikachu urged Nebby as he held the sponge in his hands. Excited, Nebby then starts to gather all the bubbles around it. "There. All done, buddy. You too, Meeko." said Ash, taking Pikachu out and then places Meeko on a towel. Pikachu and Meeko shake off the water, getting it on Ash and Jordan. "Hey! Man, that's cold." said Ash.
"Not fair, you two." said Jordan as she held out a small towel to help Meeko.
"Lucario!" giggled Meeko as Nebby shakes the bubbles off its body.
"Guess who's next!" said Ash and Jordan, looking at Emma and Litten.
"Lycan…" said Emma, unsure as she looks at the tub.
"Litt." said Litten, running off.
"Litten, wait!" Ash said.
"Pika?" asked Pikachu.
"Lucario?" asked Meeko. Suddenly, Lycanroc appeared next to Ash, rubbing its head against him. "Okay, sure. You can be up next. How does that sound?" Ash asked Lycanroc.
"Roc. Mmm." Lycanroc said, pleased that it was getting a bath.
"I'll be gentle with your fur." said Jordan, grabbing the water hose.
"Roc." said Emma, hesitantly stepping into the basin and feeling the cool water hit her fur. "Lycan!" Ash starts washing Lycanroc up as Jordan washes Emma's arm.
"How much sand have you been rolling in?" Jordan asked Emma, who then gives her a sheepish look on his face. "Don't tell me….you've been rolling in it every day."
"Roc, roc." said Lycanroc blissfully as Ash kept a steady rhythm with its fur.
"You'll be so clean you'll look even cooler than cool!" said Ash.
"Roc." said Lycanroc as it nuzzled under Ash.
"Come on, Lycanroc, stop it!" said Ash. "You're getting me all wet!"
"Hey, Lycanroc?" said Jordan, gaining the dusk form's attention as Emma starts to splash a little in the soapy water. "If you stop getting Ash in water, I'll give you and Emma a one of a kind Lycanroc brushing."
"Cario!" said Meeko, nodding that she would help.
"Lycan!" said Lycanroc, nuzzling Jordan and getting her covered in water.
"A Lycanroc that likes water…..and being shampooed, even though it's a rock type…" said Rotom as it takes a picture of Ash, Jordan, Emma and Lycanroc. "Updating data."
"I know that's gotta feel great, right?" Ash asked Lycanroc.
"Roc, Roc." said Lycanroc in agreement.
"Ta-da!" said Ash, holding up a bubble Pokémon.
"Pika?" asked Pikachu.
"Hey, Ash, what is that?" asked Rotom.
"Is that who I think it's supposed to be?" asked Jordan, washing Emma's head.
"Yeah?" asked Meeko.
"It's Pikachu! Pretty good, huh?" Ash asked Rotom and Nebby.
"It doesn't look like Pikachu at all." said Rotom.
"That's because you have no imagination, Rotom." said Jordan. "I like it, Ash. Even if it does look like Pikachu."
"Thanks, Jordan." said Ash, knowing that she would have his back as he rearranges the bubbles around. "All right….then how's this? Litten, see?"
"It's the same as before…" said Rotom as Litten walks over to them.
"Meow!" shouted Ash as he showed Litten its bubble version, scaring the poor kitten as it jumps onto the washtub. Lycanroc looks over and with a horrified look on its face, soapy was dumped on it.
"Oh, man…..woopsy-daisy." said Ash.
"Pika." said Pikachu, sympathetically.
"Ok….now we know never to scare Litten like that." said Jordan.
"Lucar. Lycan." said Meeko and Emma.
"Litten." said Litten, looking back at what it did.
"Lycanroc? Are you okay?" asked Ash, taking the basin off his Pokémon's head.
Shaking, Lycanroc shook off some of the muddy water and looked at its fur, giving out a horrified howl. "Litten." Litten said amused as it walked up to Lycanroc. Just then, its green eyes turned red and glared at Litten, growling furiously. "Lit." said Litten, surprised at this.
"Lycanroc! I'll clean you up right away." said Ash.
"Hey! Stop it! Litten didn't mean it." said Jordan.
"That's as angry as I've ever seen it…." said Rotom. Lycanroc growled angrily before chasing after Litten. "Hold on!" shouted Ash as he and Jordan waved their arms around. "Cut it out!" Ash runs in front of Lycanroc as Jordan hops on top of its back. "Hey, that's enough!" shouted the siblings.
"Litt!" shouted Litten as it turns around to attack Lycanroc as both rock and fire type Pokémon hit Ash in the head, causing Jordan to fall off. Soon enough, Ash was brushing Lycanroc's fur while Jordan rinsed off Emma. "Man, that was a surprise." said Ash.
"No kidding." said Jordan. "Are you sure you're okay, Ash? I know you've got a thick head and all, but…."
"I'm fine, sis, don't worry about me." Ash tells her, before turning his attention back to Lycanroc. "You got a little too angry there. I mean, it's not like Litten did it on purpose or something."
"Roc." said Lycanroc.
"I wonder why Lycanroc got so upset." said Rotom as Jordan starts to brush Emma's fur.
"You know, I think it got mad because its mane got dirty." said Ash. "You would get mad too if your Laki wig got dirty right, Rotom?"
"Right! I get it now!" said Rotom.
"Lycanroc, Jordan and I are proud of you." Ash said. "Your Dusk form's awesome!"
"Roc, roc." said Lycanroc as it nuzzled under Ash's chin.
"Now stay still!" Ash tells Lycanroc. "We'll be done in no time. Just hang in there, Gladion would be completely surprised if he saw you."
"He would be really surprised." said Jordan in agreement.
"Lucar!" said Meeko. Lycanroc gasped as it remembered meeting Gladion before evolving. "I wonder what Gladion's up to…." said Ash as Jordan and Meeko smiled with him.
Nebby looked at both sibling and decided to take them as well as both Lycanroc to Gladion. "They teleported again." said Rotom. Just then, Ash, Jordan, Pikachu, Meeko, Emma, and Lycanroc appeared above some Pinsir. "Oh no. Not again." said Jordan as they screamed and fell on top of the Pokémon. Gladion gasps as Silvally growls at them.
"Why is it always us?" Meeko asked.
"That was some fall." said Ash as the dust clears. "Whoa! Pinsir!"
"You said it, Ash." said Jordan. "Run for your life!"
"Pinsir!" said three angry Pinsir as Ash and Jordan take off running.
"Sorry Pinsir!" shouted Ash.
"We didn't mean to fall on you!" said Jordan as the three Pinsir chase after them.
"Use Air Slash!" Gladion said to Silvally, who then sends several silver slashes through the air at the five Pinsir. Soon as the smoke cleared, Ash and Jordan watched the group of Pinsir run away. "Oh, man….that was a close one." sighed Ash.
"Not as the one that's facing us." said Jordan, pointing to Gladion and his Pokémon.
"Lucari." said Meeko as Ash turns to see Gladion.
"Gladion…." said Ash as Umbreon and Lycanroc walked up. "Thanks so much." Silvally growled threateningly at Ash and Jordan as they ran up. "Wow, what is that? A Pokémon?" asked Ash.
"Pika?" asked Pikachu.
"I wasn't expecting the two of you to be the ones to see it." said Gladion as Nebby flies over curiously. Silvally growls at Nebby, scaring the poor Pokémon as it cries. "Hey." Ash said to Silvally as Nebby hides behind Ash and Jordan.
"No way…..is that?" Gladion asked.
"Excuse me, Mr. 'I want to growl'?! Does it look like we're gonna hurt him? No, we don't." said Jordan, glaring at Silvally, surprising it. "Yeah, that's right, I know you're a boy. So take your growling down a notch and calm down."
Silvally growled even louder at her, only to cause Jordan to growl back at him and tries to fake him out. "Back up, dude!" said Meeko, glaring at him.
"Lycanroc." said Emma, growling at Silvally as well as he takes a step back. Nebby starts crying in Ash's arms. "Hey, Nebby, please don't cry…." said Ash as Nebby wails.
"See what you did?" Jordan asked Silvally, her eyes flashing with anger. "You made Nebby cry."
"Gladion? Could you do something about that Pokémon before Jordan does?" Ash asked.
"It's alright, Silvally. Calm down, it's okay." said Gladion as he pushes Silvally back away from Nebby.
"Thanks a lot, Pikachu. You too, Meeko." Ash said to them.
"Pika, Pika." said Pikachu.
"Lucar!" said Meeko.
"Ash? Jordan?" asked Gladion. "It looks like…..It's an Ultra Beast, am I right?"
"How should I know?" Jordan asked, shrugging. "I'm just a little girl who's spending time with her brother, washing their Pokémon."
"Whoa, you know about Ultra Beasts?" asked Ash.
"What is it with the two of you? It's really dangerous." said Gladion.
"Nah, it's not dangerous at all!" said Ash as Nebby cooed.
"Then you don't know about Ultra Beasts." said Gladion. "You both don't have a clue."
"Gladion…." said Ash.
"And you don't know us or you sister." said Jordan, crossing her arms.
"What?" Gladion questioned.
"You heard me. I said what I said." Jordan tells him. "When was the last time you checked in on Lillie and Hobbes? A year or two? Didn't you ever think that she might be worried about you?"
Gladion's expression softened as she said that. "On top of that, yeah we don't know much about Ultra Beasts…..but you have to understand, Gladion that from me and Ash's point of view, we didn't grow up with stories of Ultra Beasts like you and Lillie did." Jordan pointed out.
"She's right. You have to understand see; we made a promise we'd look after it. To Solgaleo and Lunala." Ash explained.
"What? Solgaleo and Lunala? The Legendary Pokémon?" asked Gladion.
"Yeah, but we made the promise to them in the middle of a dream." said Ash. In the shade, Nebby was asleep as Pikachu, Meeko and Umbreon guard it.
"Lucario." said Meeko.
"Umbreon." said Umbreon.
"Here's what happened? I was just thinking about you earlier and then Nebby brought us all here." Ash tells Gladion.
"You're saying you were both teleported?" Gladion asked. "And it was that of an Ultra Beast who did it?"
"Well….." said Ash.
"Um….." said Jordan.
"Here. I wanted to introduce you to Lycanroc and Emma." said Ash.
"It's not a Midnight form or a Midday form." said Gladion, looking at Ash's Lycanroc.
"Lycanroc." said Emma, raising her paw.
"Lycan." said Gladion's Lycanroc, raising its paw as well.
"Yeah. Pretty cool, right?" asked Ash. "We decided to call it Lycanroc's Dusk form."
"Lycanroc." said Lycanroc as it became affectionate with Ash.
"Stop it. Come on! Come on, cut it out!" said Ash.
"Emma, lets help Ash out." said Jordan.
"Roc." Emma nodded as the both of them went over and help Ash with Lycanroc as it knocks the boy over.
"Stop! Stop! Stop! That tickles. Man…." said Ash laughing as Gladion watched. "Where are we?"
"Ten Carat Hill. It's a good place to avoid people." said Gladion.
"Hey, it'd be awesome if you came and visited Lillie once in a while." Ash said to Gladion. "Lillie's doing really great. You know what? She's managed to be able to touch Pikachu and Meeko now. She takes good care of Snowy."
[Flashback]
"Gladion?!" Lillie called out as she ran up to her brother with Snowy in her arms. "I'd like to introduce you to Snowy. And this is my brother, Gladion."
"Vul." said Snowy.
[Flashback ends]
"Wow. What do you know?" asked Gladion with a smile.
"Know what else?" Ash asked, then turns to Nebby and Pikachu. "Its name is Nebby. And Lillie named it.
"Incredible. She named an Ultra Beast." said Gladion. "And she named it Nebby, of all things."
"Hey Gladion?" Jordan called out, gaining his attention. "Have you ever tried taking this thing off of Silvally?"
"I've tried, but nothing has worked." he tells her. Jordan then looks at Silvally in sadness, feeling bad for the Pokémon.
"Whoever did this to you is a whole lot worse than what Team Rocket does." Jordan said to Silvally, who growled softly at her as he tilts his head. "I'm going to try and get this thing off of you. I promise."
"Lucario." said Meeko as Silvally growls happily at the two of them as they both tried to pull off the mask.
"Your sister is different." said Gladion as Jordan tells Silvally about their adventures from other regions.
"Yeah, she is and she's one of a kind too." Ash tells him. "I wouldn't have her any other way and I wouldn't trade her for the world." Gladion smiles at this as Silvally softly butts he head at Jordan's face, causing her to giggle. "You're sweet once people get to know you." said Jordan.
"What do you mean?" Ash asked, talking about what he was saying a moment ago.
"Yeah. I think it's time that you both knew." said Gladion. "The reason why Lillie couldn't touch Pokémon is because she was attacked by an Ultra Beast."
"No way!" said Jordan as Ash gasps.
[Flashback]
Young Gladion ran all over the place, looking for Lillie until he appears behind someone. He looks up and sees Lillie being carried by an Ultra Beast, screaming as she reaches out for her brother.
[Flashback ends]
"I was so scared. There was nothing I could do about it." said Gladion, then touches Silvally. "But it was this Silvally who ultimately rescued us. Still, Lillie was severely traumatized. She experienced such fear that cast a deep shadow in her heart. And she became unable to touch Pokémon."
"Oh, man. She never mentioned it." said Ash.
"She erased it from her memory. It was that terrifying for her." said Gladion as he stared at his hand. "It won't happen again. I won't let her be terrorized. I've got to protect her."
Silvally growls as Lycanroc growled in agreement. "Look. I'm no longer the same person I once was. I'm a Pokémon trainer now. We're all getting stronger and stronger! And it's all so I can defeat every last Ultra Beast." said Gladion.
"That story kinda reminds me of the huge battle back in Kanto." said Jordan.
"Lucario." said Meeko, shaking her head as she remembers what happened.
"Oh yeah." said Ash, knowing exactly what she was talking about.
"What huge battle?" Gladion asked.
"Have you heard of Mewtwo?" Ash asked as Gladion shakes his head.
"I know of Mew, but never Mewtwo." said Gladion.
"There was this battle…." said Jordan, as Pikachu and Meeko ran up to her. "Between Mew and Mewtwo. The battle had gotten so bad, that Ash got in the middle of it."
"Pikachu." said Pikachu, wiping a tear from Jordan's cheek.
"It's okay, Jordan." said Meeko.
"Meeko and I ran down towards Ash while Pikachu was shocking him. I started to wonder why he wasn't feeling any pain from Pikachu's thunderbolt." Jordan explained as she held Pikachu and Meeko close to her. "As I got closer, I saw that he was laying on the ground and was turned to stone. I got so angry with Mew and Mewtwo that I screamed at them. Every one of the Pokémon that was there and their clones were crying until Ash started moving again."
"Jordan gets nightmares about that every now and then." said Ash.
"Lucar." said Meeko, butting her head against her trainer. "Cario, Lucario."
"Pika, Pika, Pikachu." Pikachu tells her.
"Thanks, Pikachu. Thanks, Meeko." said Jordan.
"I never knew that." said Gladion as Silvally nudges Jordan's shoulder.
"It's okay." said Jordan, giving him a smile. "I may not talk about it much, but it happens."
"They bring misfortune to everyone. They should not exist in this world." said Gladion, continuing his opinion on Ultra Beasts. "And Nebby is no exception."
"No way! Nebby's not like that!" argued Ash.
"How can you know that for sure?" Gladion questioned. "If Nebby ever showed its true colors as an Ultra Beast…..I'll defeat Nebby, no doubt. My Pokémon and me."
"With Silvally?" Ash asked.
"Yes, with Silvally. He was specifically created to defeat Ultra Beasts." explained Gladion.
"Created?" gasped Ash.
"Cool!" said Jordan, then looks at Silvally before turning to Ash. "Maybe I could borrow Silvally for a day to get back at all the things you did to me when we were little, Ash."
"You wouldn't dare, Jordan." said Ash.
"Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't. You'll never know, Ash." said Jordan as Silvally gave her a questionable growl to which she smirked and winked.
"I can't go into detail….but no one is to know about it." said Gladion.
"So that's why you're here?" asked Ash and Jordan.
"I've already said enough." he said. "You're the ones who suddenly appeared while we were training, right?"
"Yeah. Sorry." said Ash.
"We're sorry. We're sorry. We're sorry." said Jordan as she, Meeko and Emma bowed apologetically to Gladion, causing him to giggle a bit.
"But there's got to be a reason why an Ultra Beast would show up here now. It's important." said Gladion. "I need to know why."
"Why?" asked Ash and Jordan.
"Who are you anyway?" Gladion asked, getting into Ash and Jordan's faces.
"Uh….who am I? Ash. From Pallet town." said Ash, feeling slightly uncomfortable.
"My name is Jordan Ketchum, I'm 8 years old, I'm Ash's little sister and we're both from Pallet Town in the Kanto Region." said Jordan. "I was given Meeko as an egg and she's originally from the Sinnoh. She was a Riolu before evolving."
"Why are you the ones entrusted with an Ultra Beast? And what about my mother? Did she agree to all of this? Didn't Solgaleo and Lunala think the Ultra Beast would become dangerous? What's going on here?" Gladion questioned the siblings as they both leaned back from him. "And a few more things. What about your Lycanroc? What powers do the both of you possess? What kind of influence do you have on Pokémon?"
"First off, boundaries. Meeko is very protective of who gets in my personal space." said Jordan as Meeko glared at Gladion. "We had a few incidents with Ash doing that when he knows I don't like it."
"Lucar! Lucario!" Meeko said to Umbreon, who then gently pushes Gladion back a bit.
"Hold on! Stop it! I don't have the answers for all of that stuff." said Ash. "But, I do know what we could do instead…..Lets have a battle!"
"A battle?" Gladion asked.
"You heard him. He wants a battle." said Jordan.
"You want to learn about me and Jordan, right? Then let's have a battle and you can find out." said Ash.
"Not seeing the logic in this…." said Gladion, unsure of what Ash was trying to do.
"It'll be good training for Silvally! Don't forget." said Ash. "We never finished our battle before. Team Rocket messed it up."
"He's got a point, you know." said Jordan.
"You're right about that." said Gladion, then turns to Silvally. "Silvally? What do you say?"
"Silav!" growled Silvally in agreement.
"Awesome! Let's do it!" said Ash, looking at his Lycanroc.
"Lycan! Roc!" growled Lycanroc.
"Since I don't have Leilani with me, I'll use Emma." said Jordan.
"Roc! Lycan!" said Emma.
"This is really strange." said Rotom, still waiting for Nebby to bring back Ash and Jordan. "Ash, Jordan and all the others still havent returned yet."
"It's highly probable that they're on some big adventure like last time." said Rotom, pacing back and forth in the air. "So…a solve rate of 100 percent. Alolan Detective Rotom's conclusions are never wrong!"
"Litten." said Litten.
"Well, you can't be right all the time. It appears that the only evidence left at the scene are these simple brushes." Rotom said to Litten's retreating back, before turning away. "I'm beginning to suspect a difficult case! Litten! I need you stop napping right now, so you can work for me as my skilled assistant."
"Litten." said Litten, not rivetted in being Rotom's assistant as it went back to sleep.
"No motivation whatsoever…." said Rotom, then starts making the sound of an alarm clock and looks up at the sky. "I forgot. Today is the live broadcast of 'Alolan Detective Laki's greatest scenes viewer's choice special'! There's no point in watching a Viewer's choice special unless you watch it in real time! We've got to hurry, Litten!"
"Meow!" said Litten, not having a care in the world. Back in Ten Carat hill, Ash and Jordan were ready to battle against Gladion. "Pika, Pika." said Pikachu as he and Meeko stood over Nebby.
"I'm counting on you, Lycanroc." said Ash.
"Roc." said Dusk form Lycanroc.
"Let's give it our all." said Jordan, giving Emma a fist bump.
"Lycan." said Emma.
"Those Lycanroc. What do you think of them?" Gladion asked his Lycanroc.
"Lycan." Lycanroc said in approval.
"Yeah, the eyes in Ash's Lycanroc shows how it's grown." said Gladion.
"Lycan." growled Gladion's Lycanroc, challenging the dusk form.
"Breon." said Umbreon.
"All right, let's see how strong you really are." said Gladion. "Witness the power of the Pokémon with the mask! Silvally, let's go!"
"Vally!" growled Silvally.
"Gladion? Hold on." said Ash. "This is the first time Silvally's battling against a couple of Pokémon who have trainers, isn't it?"
"Yes!" said Gladion.
"Ha! Alright!" shouted Ash and Jordan. "Yeah! We're the first!"
"Is that something to be happy about?" Gladion asked.
"It is when you're me and Ash." said Jordan.
"Being the first at anything is always great." said Ash.
"What a strange set of siblings…." said Gladion.
"I heard that! We're not strange! We're unique and one of a kind." said Jordan, causing Gladion to gasp.
"Now….Lets go, Lycanroc! Rock Throw!" shouted Ash.
"Roc!" shouted Lycanroc, jumping into the air. "Lycan!" Rocks formed around its tail and was thrown at Silvally.
"All right, use Double Hit!" said Gladion.
"Sil!" shouted Silvally as its fin and tail glowed and blocked Lycanroc's Rock Throw, throwing them back.
"Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu as he and Meeko protected Nebby who wakes up to the noise.
"Emma! Use Rock Tomb!" shouted Jordan.
"Lycan!" growled Emma, raising her arms in the air, creating boulders to be thrown at Silvally, who dodged the attack.
"Time to raise your attack power." said Gladion. "Now use Swords Dance!" Silvally stood onto his back legs as swords appeared around his body, circling before disappearing as red energy strengthen him. "Heads up! Here it comes!" Ash called out.
"Roc!" growled Emma and Lycanroc.
"It's all for defeating Ultra Beasts!" thought Gladion. "All right….use Crush Claw!"
Silvally's claws grew and became red as he aims his attack at Lycanroc and Emma, who both jumped back. "Now! Lure him in and then use Bite!" said Ash.
"Emma, find a spot and use Thunder Punch!" shouted Jordan. As Silvally continued to use Crush Claw, Lycanroc and Emma jumped into the air. Lycanroc was above Silvally, ready to use Bite while electricity cackled around Emma's arm from below. Just as Lycanroc goes and uses Bite, Silvally looks up and uses Crush Claw, knocking it back.
"No, Lycanroc!" shouted Ash as Lycanroc landed on its feet. Just then, Silvally feels electricity going through its hind legs, forgetting for a moment that Emma used Thunder Punch.
"Sil!" growled Silvally then glares at Emma.
"Lycanroc! Lycan!" Emma growled at Silvally.
"Silvally's strong." said Jordan as Silvally knocks her back.
"It's faster than I thought." said Ash.
"Use Air Slash!" shouted Gladion and Silvally sends his Air Slash at Lycanroc, knocking it into the water.
"No way! Lycan!" said Jordan and Emma.
"Quick, use Accelerock!" shouted Ash. Lycanroc jumps up and slams into Silvally.
"Emma, use…." said Jordan when suddenly Emma howled at the top of her lungs and gives Silvally an unusual look that causes it to step back. "What did Emma just learned?"
"By the look of Silvally, she just learned how to use Scary Face." said Gladion. "Pretty good."
"All right!" said Jordan. "Go Emma!"
"Offense is the greatest defense! Now! Bite, let's go!" shouted Ash.
"Double Hit now!" shouted Gladion. Silvally hits both Emma and Lycanroc while they were in the air, aiming them at the small pool of water below.
"Pika! Lucar!" said Pikachu and Meeko, worriedly.
"Uh-oh…." said Jordan as Silvally growls when it landed next to Gladion. Emma pops out, fur soaking wet as she walks over to her trainer. "I'll fix it when we get back." Jordan tells Emma, who then shakes out her fur.
"Lycanroc." said Emma.
Just then, Lycanroc comes out of the pool of water and sees its reflection on the water's surface. "Roc!" said Lycanroc, horrified at its looks.
"Silvally, you've done a bad thing." said Jordan as she, Emma and Meeko popped up next to it and Gladion.
"Val?" Silvally growled.
"Yeah, you did." said Jordan. "For Ash's Lycanroc, it likes to have the cleanest fur in the world and it will possibly, if not probably, go on a rampage if there's the slightest bit of smudge or dirt on its fur."
"How would you know?" asked Gladion. Suddenly, Lycanroc growled angrily as its eyes turned red. "That's how. Lycan. Cario." said Jordan, Emma and Meeko as all three pointed to Lycanroc and Gladion gasps. Jordan and Meeko patted Gladion on his shoulders.
"Good luck to the two of you. You'll need it." said Jordan.
"Lucario." added Meeko.
Ash gasps in shocked, remembering earlier in the day when Litten had gotten Lycanroc's fur dirty. "Here we go again….oh no!" said Ash. Lycanroc walks out of the water in anger as Silvally questioningly growls. "Hey." said Ash.
"You okay?" Jordan tentatively asked as Lycanroc growls as its fur stood on edge. "You got the rest of this battle, right Ash?"
"Yeah. You and Emma take a break." said Ash, never taking his eyes off of Lycanroc as Emma held Jordan close to her for dear life. "Wow. You can still battle? Use Accel…."
"Lycanroc!" Lycanroc growled furiously at Ash, causing him to back up a bit and scare Nebby, who hides behind Pikachu.
"Lycanroc!" Ash called out as Lycanroc ran towards Silvally. Silvally was surprised as Lycanroc attacked him in an angry manner. "Something's not right. Lycanroc's got work to do." Gladion said to himself as Lycanroc bit Silvally from the air. It kept going at Silvally as Umbreon and Midnight form Lycanroc were ready to join the battle.
"Wait, you two." Gladion said, holding them back. "Keep watching."
"Stop! Stop! Stop!" Ash shouted as he and Jordan went out towards Lycanroc.
"Bad Lycanroc!" shouted Jordan, jumping onto its back.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu, comforting and singing to a crying Nebby. Silvally challenged Lycanroc as Ash and Jordan tried to calm it down. "Come on, Lycanroc, calm down, please!" pleaded Ash. "I'll clean you up right away."
"Calm down!" begged Jordan, rubbing her face into Lycanroc's fur. "I'll give you a fluffy brushing if you calm down."
"Lycanroc!" shouted Lycanroc and bucks Jordan off of its body.
"Lucario!" shouted Meeko, using Psychic as Jordan was flung back and placed her trainer in Emma's arms.
"It's got growing up to do, too." said Gladion. "Is this a Dusk Form's true power?"
"Excellent question, Gladion." said Jordan.
"Jordan and I just found out it can get this way! Every time Lycanroc's fur gets messed up it goes crazy!" Ash explained. "Like that!" Just then, Nebby couldn't take it anymore and starts crying loudly, gaining everyone's attention. As Nebby continued to cry, the sound waves dried off Lycanroc's fur. Floating down, Nebby whimpers as Pikachu gives it a hug and Meeko licks it's cute little face. "Lycanroc! You okay?" asked Ash, running over to it.
"Roc." said Lycanroc, feeling remorseful at what it did.
"I'm glad you're all clean again." said Ash. "Know what? Nebby probably didn't want you to be angry."
"Pikachu. Lucario." said Pikachu and Meeko.
"You know…." Jordan said with Emma behind her. "When you got angry, you scared Nebby."
Lycanroc looks over its shoulder and gives Nebby a smile. "Right. We're all good." said Ash as Nebby floats into Emma's arms.
"Lycanroc." Emma cooed to Nebby as Lycanroc gives Ash affection.
"I got it. There. There." said Ash.
"Down, Lycanroc. Down." said Jordan as Lycanroc gives her affection too.
"What do you both wanna do?" Gladion asked. "Do you wanna stop?"
"I think Emma and I will stop." said Jordan as both boys nodded. "We need a break anyway."
"No way! Let's battle!" said Ash, speaking for himself. "Whats done is done. Back to business. Let's go, Lycanroc!"
"Silvally, lets end it with one strike!" said Gladion. "Use Swords Dance!"
Swords appeared around Silvally and went around him, strengthening his attack before disappearing. "Quick, use Accelerock!" shouted Ash and Lycanroc speeds up. "One more time! Use Accelerock again!"
"Now Crush Claw!" shouted Gladion as Lycanroc ran towards Silvally. Silvally's claws grew and became red again, as he grabs Lycanroc by the face and slashes it to the ground, creating a dirt cloud. Once it had cleared, Lycanroc was stunned and couldn't move. "And that is that." said Gladion.
"Lycanroc." Ash cried out.
"Wow." whispered Jordan.
"Cario. Lycanroc." said Meeko and Emma.
"Pika!" said Pikachu as they all gathered around Lycanroc.
"Return." said Gladion, returning Silvally to his Pokéball. "It makes sense. I understand. Now I know who you both really are."
"You see? We're just us, that's all." said Ash.
"With younger siblings that have spunky attitudes and fiery tempers." added Jordan.
"It was a good experience for Silvally." said Gladion.
"That's great!" said Ash and Jordan.
"It's tough for us. You, Jordan and I." Gladion said to them. "With both your Lycanrocs. And my Silvally. They both have their very own quirks. Looks like it will take time until they truly become strong."
"In my opinion, having those quirks is what makes every Pokémon and human being unique." said Jordan.
"Is that so?" Gladion asked.
"Yes. In some cases, certain Pokémon are like their trainers." said Jordan, looking at Ash and Pikachu.
"Who told you that, Jordan?" asked Ash.
"I'm not telling you. I was sworn to secrecy." Jordan tells her brother with a glint in her eyes. Ash then turns to Meeko who then shakes her head at him.
"You're right." Ash said, turning to Gladion. "That's why we should battle a whole lot, and get stronger and stronger!"
"This is my whole life." said Jordan as Gladion laughs.
"Later." said Gladion, taking off.
"Gladion? We should battle again!" Ash called out after him.
"Oh, that's right. Please promise me one thing." Gladion said. "About seeing me today….and also seeing Silvally…..Don't say a word."
"Uh, yeah, sure!" said Ash.
"Especially to Lillie." said Gladion, causing Ash to gasp. "Promise me. I ask you both because I trust you."
"Got it." said Ash.
"Why would I tell Lillie about Silvally?" asked Jordan. "It's not like anyone would believe me without seeing actual physical evidence. I would rather have Pikachu shock me until the end of my days than tell people, including Lillie, about Silvally."
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"What? I meant it. I would rather have you shock me if I ever spill a secret like this or Meeko hit me in the head than telling anyone about this." said Jordan, picking up Pikachu. "It would be better if they see Silvally for themselves then me telling them. You know how it is in this family."
"Pikachu." Pikachu said, nodding as he understood what she meant.
"Let me guess…." said Gladion. "She's kinda like a vault when it comes to secrets?"
"More or less, depending on the day." said Ash. "You're more than welcome to borrow her for a weekend or two."
"No thanks." said Gladion, smiling as he and his Pokémon left.
"All right! Let's go home, too!" said Ash.
"Yeah, I'm starving." said Jordan.
"Wait…" said Ash as they look down at a sleeping Nebby. "How are we supposed to get home from here? You're asleep! Take us home, Nebby, PLEASE?! Please! Nebby! I'm begging you! WAKE UP!"
"Pikachu." said Pikachu.
"Lucario." said Meeko.
"You both got that right." said Jordan. "I'm sad to be even called his little sister."
