Chapter 1 moving on
Leaving Arcadia bay should have been a lot harder for Max but it was easier than she thought it would be. Maybe it was the fact that her parents were dead, maybe because deep down she wanted to leave, or maybe it was the fact that wherever Chloe went she would follow.
Chloe was all Max had left she loved Chloe she sacrificed arcadia bay for her if that wasn't a declaration of love then she didn't know what was. As they drove down the road leaving their past behind them moving forward to their future together she looked over to Chloe meeting her eyes and taking Chloe's hand in hers nothing needed to be said no words were spoken Max smiled and Chloe squeezed Max's hand in response as they continued driving.
As night began to fall Chloe pulled off the main road into a Truck Stop for the night as they settled in sleeping in the truck Chloe sat in the driver's seat while Max leaned against her wrapped in Chloe's arms.
"Chloe do you remember when you asked my why you hadn't heard from me when I left to go to San Francisco"? Max asked breaking the silence. "Yeah why"? Chloe asked.
"Well the reason why is I was scared". Max said. "Scared? Why were you scared"? Chloe asked.
"I was scared because I didn't know how to admit that I'm in love with you Chloe. Whenever I thought of calling you or writing you I found it hard because I felt like I had to hide my feelings from you. It killed me to ghost you like that I never wanted to hurt you Chloe I'm so sorry". Max said starting to cry. Chloe pulled her tight to her body. "It's okay max I understand you were torn and I'm sorry too for being on your case since you've been back it was hella shitty of me.
But the truth is I'm in love with you too. I think it took you kissing me a few days ago when I dared you too". Chloe confessed.
"Really? I was so scared I would ruin our friendship if you didn't feel the same if I didn't by ghosting you for so long".
"Hey it's okay Max I get it I understand you were scared it's normal.
But hey look at you now you saved my life Max. You took down Nathan and his family you stuck it to those rich assholes. You stood up to Victoria Max you're a total badass Max". Chloe consoled her.
"You're my supermax". Chloe said kissing her cheek and nuzzled her cheek with her own.
"thanks Chloe I love you". Max said. "I love you too max". Chloe said and kissed her.
"I'm so glad you saved me Max I don't what I would have done or what my life would have been like if you hadn't have come back into my life
But I wouldn't change anything that happened good or bad all that matters is I have you by my side again." Chloe said.
"Me too I wouldn't change a thing.
As long as you're my partner in crime I'll be your partner in time." Max said.
